Hi friends. I am tired.

Not really expecting anything at this point, but the bills keep coming and they don’t stop coming and paying them instead of getting food means we are running out of food. Would 10/10 be a nice time if anyone could spare $20 or $50.

I am dashing my ass off but I sacrificed $170 to getting my registration renewed on my car and have no money for groceries until til tomorrow. I am so sick of not having a way to make ends meet.

gonna start of by giving a massive thank you to everyone!! i greatly appreciate every interaction — every like, comment, reblog and follower — and most importantly, the friends i feel like i've made along the way. it means a lot that you've found something you enjoy in my writing and blog

this is going to get a little sappy so you've been warned

it might be a little cringe that i take 1k followers this serious, but it is a little milestone i take a lot of pride in

(if you wanna skip my sentimental part and just read about my writing plans going forward, that's fine, lol, it's titled "the road ahead" further down)

i had a particularly rough winter — working a lot, making the tough decision of dropping out of university with one year left, going through the worst frienship breakup i have ever experienced, not eating or sleeping well — overall struggling mentally

during all of this, i picked up jjk and was finally blessed with a new hyper fixation. i now had more time on my hands seeing as i was no longer a student. i've always had a passion for writing, so i decided why not

so i made this account just for shits and giggles mostly, not expecting much. but the reception of my works has been beyond anything i could imagine — i am so extremely grateful

it has even helped give me that last little push to pursue writing as a possible future. as a huge reader, i've wanted to be an author ever since i was young, but always been too scared to commit to it, scared i'm not good enough

but seeing how people actually enjoy what i write has given me the motivation to apply for a one year course in creative writing next year. it's rather exclusive, only accepting 12 students each year, but i am going to apply at least lol

that is all thanks to you guys so thank you so so so so much ᡣ𐭩

2024 looked out to be one of the worst years of my life, but it has greatly turned for the better. this might actually be one of my best years in a long time, and a big part of that is actually due to this blog (meaning you guys)

so, yeah, okay, it's just 1k followers at it's core. but to me, it is also a sign of me actually putting time and effort into improving myself, my life and my mental health. therefore you guys are really important to me

the road ahead

now, i have quite a few ideas floating around in my head atm. i'm trying to challenge myself in writing more drabbles, bc i seriously struggle with writing shorter pieces, so expect more of that in the future

i may or may not have a series, that has been rotting in my drafts since early june. as of right now, i only have a rough outline for the story and a rough draft of the first chapter. i might feel motivated to continue this

and, as you might know, i am starting to get a little obsessed with haikyuu... i already have a few ideas. but i have to get further into the series before i feel comfortable writing for it

then, lastly, i am tempted to do a 1k follower event (if you guys are interested. lmk). i really wanna do something to celebrate this achievement. however, i am terrible with deadlines and writing schedules so it would have to be very flexible lol. it might take forever until i get around to doing it hehe. but know, that if you are interested, i do have an idea in the back of my mind

(all that being said, i am working more this fall due to the fact that i start the downpayment on my student loans in october, yikes)

✨️ Buggy's Blundering Rizz ✨️

• sometimes, he'll take a moment during the day, after a fight or a snack or something, just whip out a compact mirror and his lipstick and will do a touch up, just sharpening the lines or fixing the pigment. Sometimes, time constraints mean he has to multitask, and his crew knows firsthand how his voice evens ever so slightly while he's distracted. They will never get sick of it, though, the way that his smiles come a little easier, the way his eyes glint with half a million thoughts, the clear edges to his countenance and yet the softening of the defensive bits as well.

• Crocodile and Mihawk accidentally happen across Distracted Buggy Charm by chance. He's pouring over a map for a trade deal, putting his hair up, and talking out the thought process behind the food budget and arrangements there. They both pause for similar but differing reasons - for Crocodile, it's the actually really well thought out spiel the clown has, and then his smile and glinting eyes when the logia user looks up steals the businessman's breath; for Mihawk, there is a shift in the condensed maelstrom of Buggy's Haki, a shift in the chaotic whirlwind the clown was known for, the movements hiccupping before cohesively shifting into a shared direction with a nearly alarming strength of will. Buggy's microexpressions and movements himself merely arrest the swordsman further, sharp golden eyes committing that scene to memory without hesitation.

• Buggy has a lot of random skills that don't seem immediately important, but he's been just about everywhere and done just about everything. Including things people really, REALLY would not expect of him. He even worked retail for a while, and so he's got HELLA patience when he needs it. It's just... so much energy. On a bright note, he's also really good at organization, and he is the king of color coding - it's both a Buggy Thing and kinda an ADHD thing. He has a VERY specific organization thing, and he's also really aware of his surroundings - this leads to some really sweet, pull-out-all-the-stops shenanigans that gives people butterflies.

• Buggy doesn't do feelings halfway, he's either experiencing emotions through a fishbowl, going through the motions kinda, OR he is absolutely SMOTHERED in them. This includes love. Buggy loves with all he has and so he directs that love to his people. Yes, more than half the crew had some kind of crush on Buggy. Yes, the majority of the escapees are Simps for it. Yes, Buggy doesn't realize this in the slightest. He's just VIBING and sometimes people get all pink around him, not his problem but he WILL swing by the med tents, don't want his precious crew and men to be hurt if there's a cold or smth going around after all.

• Buggy is a cute stimmer. Most people out and about don't register it as such, or find some of them annoying, but his fans and crew and men find it charming as all hell because he stims with his Devil Fruit, clicking joints, or fiddling with his hair, or spinning. His Happiest Stims include happy flaps, spinning on his toes, and smooshing his own face or bouncing. On Extra Great Days, he even squeals, starry eyed and buzzing. It's absolutely adorable, and even the affectionate biting is well received.

• maybe a little more suggestive but he's also. Really flexible. He's got the bisexual afflicition of never sitting properly in a chair, and sometimes he'll have one leg thrown up over the arm, and he's got some seemingly inhuman flexibility that has nothing to do with his Devil Fruit, so sometimes he'll casually be sitting, sit up, lean forward, and it makes people go Oh My Seas Hello Sailor-

I was going to make this all polished, but it’s more convenient for me to post from my phone atm. Baseline thoughts on the other Chosen where Gale and the orb are concerned. This will apply to my Laeral and Elm.ins.ter. I am very open to being flexible on this. It just gives me a base to work with, but if anyone wants to discus an alternative, I’m down. Parting note that I’m not including supporting quotations atm, but if anyone wants me to dig them up, I will.

My reasoning is based on:

The current Mys.tra is an amalgamation of Mystr.yl, prev!Mys.tra, and Midnight!Mys.tra. Mys.try.l died when Karsus tried to usurp her power. Midnight!Mys.tra died when Cyric murdered Her and Shar attempted to usurp control of the Weave. Mys.tra knows She exists in a cycle where someone will always try to usurp Her, and She will die and be reborn constantly.

Prev!Mys.tra we know went through many Chosen who failed to meet Her standards, including ones who tried to usurp Her or Azuth. We also know prev!Mys.tra took steps to ensure the Seven would have enough conflict with each other and others to limit their ambitions, and Midnight!Mys.tra admitted to being frightened of Elm.ins.ter and took back some of what Her predecessor shared with them.

Mys.tra has become more paranoid and secretive after the Spellplague. Getting murdered in your own home does that to you. She keeps much from Her Chosen — more than She ever did before — and requires them to keep information from each other.

Gale was able to quarantine himself in his tower in Waterdeep. It’s clearly well-known he fell from grace, but as far as we know, no one sought him and he didn’t seek anyone else.

It’s implied Mys.tra was controlling communication between Gale and the other Chosen. At the very least, She seems to have been closely watching.

My take on the situation:

Based on what Gale says, I theorize that being one of My.stra’s Chosen at the time he found the orb both damned and saved him. Her Chosen are unique in that each holds a portion of her “essential power” that they cannot use and that cannot be taken from them by force — even by Mys.tra. I posit that the orb sought to devour that piece of power but could not. Hence the parasitic bond it formed instead, staved off by the dweomers from enchanted objects.

Normally, when a Chosen dies, that essential power is released and slowly reabsorbed by Mys.tra. I posit that, if the orb had gotten ahold of it, it would have consumed it, and it would have been lost to Mys.tra forever. This is why She’s so desperate to see Gale die — in addition to how such an object scares Her after the Spellplague (and Karsus’ original attempt to use it).

So where the other Chosen are concerned:

Though they knew Gale was no longer one of them, they didn’t know why. Mys.tra told them nothing of the orb.

She enforced a quarantine, forbidding Her Chosen from coming within proximity of Gale. She feared the orb might hop to them if they did. This is why Elm.ins.ter only sent a simulacrum even when delivering the Goddess’ mandate.

She did not forbid them from contacting Gale by other means. Doing so would undoubtedly make them too curious to keep from investigating — or pique someone else’s curiosity. This is also why nothing was done about Gale living in Waterdeep: too suspicious. Better to let people speculate he’s simply fallen short of Her standards / couldn’t take the pressure. She did, however, closely monitor and manipulate any contact they had.

Lael and El were hesitant to contact Gale because they cared about him. Other Chosen who’d gone rogue had to be hunted and slain. That wasn’t immediately the case with Gale, and they didn’t want that to become the case. The less they knew about his situation, the closer they followed Mys.tra’s mandate, the smaller the chance they’d have to put him down.

You also have to consider that the life of a Chosen is a life without even a moment of rest. Literally. We know Lael and El had other major events to attend during the year preceding BG3. (We also know Lael’s power was greatly diminished for part of that year, and that the Chosen in general aren’t as powerful as they used to be.) If they rocked the boat where Gale was concerned, they’d risk a crisis of some sort. At any given moment, they have a dozen on their plate.

That having been said —

Neither would ignore Gale or Tara if they reached out first, and it’s very like both of them to do some investigations from afar or through agents. Pair of nosy meddlers. Lael would especially send Dove and Syluné (both Weave ghosts) to discreetly look in on Gale’s tower. What they discover — if anything— I leave to individual plotting.

El has been around the block too many times to give too much blind aid, but they’re clearly not without love and sympathy for Gale still. Depending on what’s asked and what they know, they may help.

Lael is more of a bleeding heart in this regard and has been sick of grief for centuries. She is more likely to give aid blindly — though still within reason. If Gale or Tara, while researching their options, go to Lael for sources or, while hunting for enchanted items, ask her for direction — she is likely to do so as long as she can reasonably assume it won’t endanger Waterdeep.

Both of them are willing to play fast and loose with or even defy divine mandates if they deem the cause great enough. Just as a note.

"I just stayed up until like 4 am reading through all of your posts, all the way back to 2017. I feel like I've known you my whole life even though I've never meet you. I read through all of your thoughts and words and I related to them so deeply. How are you doing right now? Are you okay? Are you in recovery atm? After reading through all your posts I've decided to give my own recovery another chance. You gave me a bit of hope and I just thought you should know that".

A follower wrote this on one of my posts and I thought I would respond for all. If this blog is a beacon of hope for some people, I am both surprised and flattered. This blog is far from those TikTok recovery accounts with reels of false hope, gaunt faces and shaky smiles. I am over 30. I don't have a cutesy, instagrammable recovery. For over a decade I have been stuck in the realms of an eating disorder. The caveat, the destruction, it always seems to have been part of my life. This blog is for me, to document my remissions, recovery, relapses and moments in between.

In short, I am doing well. I moved with my partner from Australia to Europe mid 2022. It was very much driven by a need for change. I came out of the clinic only to be met with the same triggers and routines that made me unwell in the first place. I needed a change in scenery, culture and something to work towards.

It's not the secret cure for everyone, and in reality it hasn't been a "cure" for me. I value travel and the experiences that come with it including trying new foods, long hikes to explore nature and flexibility in routine. Living by this value has certainly fuelled my need to actively engage in recovery. This includes regular appointments, challenging fear foods and giving up excessive exercise.

I look back at where I was when I arrived in Germany 18 months ago and I am in awe of the person I am becoming and how much I have grown. In saying that, the intrusive thoughts are ever present and I struggle to find a photo of myself that I want to post to document the amazing travels that we embark on. I worry that the eating disorder still lies dormant and when I return to "real life" I may relapse into what I find comfortable and safe.

RP PET PEEVES / DEALBREAKERS : not reading my rules. becomes obvious when you don't. especially with a couple character or plot types i list that i don't feel comfortable writing and they get pushed on me. always read rules so you start out on a good page. it's so important! using roleplay to make yourself seem better than others. whether that be that you're more virtuous than them (as my buddy ava said) because they write things you don't like (rant to a bud, get your feelers out, block and move on??) or way more hip, progressive or whatever for plots you do or won't do or fcs or graphics you use. we're all just here writing. it's not that serious. have fun with it. curate your experience. screw anon button on. you'll be way less stressed. and a tiny one. refollowing on repeat. but that just gets a block eventually. and super easy to handle.

MUSE PREFERENCES : flawed heroes, burdened souls that are good people deep down, the distant person that has walls because of self-preservation, kind souls that've been burned too many times that they are cautious to warm up to others. misunderstood, thoughtful types. characters that still need to learn themselves and grow. on the complete opposite side? completely unhinged psychopaths, sociopaths, whatever else that falls under that line.

PLOTS OR MEMES : ava said this really well. memes are the easiest way to get my attention. i don't mind sending them in. or having them sent (though rn my inbox is a little big but i'm working on it, might just take me some time!). and then from there as we build up, if we match well, plotting is something i LOVE to do. i get that some don't though and i'm always more than fine winging it to see what happens. pretty flexible. but i really do love things that stick between muses.

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES : i write a lot most of the time. usually on accident. sometimes i get carried away and am enjoying myself. i, in no way, expect replies to match length and i mean it. i just need smth to work with. i've been keeping some posts purposefully shorter. especially meme replies as i work through my inbox. we can expand or shrink as needed!

BEST TIME TO WRITE : usually really late at night. i'm a night owl with insomnia and, as much as sarah threatens to beat me with a chair? i find sleep difficult. writing helps that!

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S) : i don't know? i'm probably more like dean than i am any of them. but i try to make better choices that won't end up with me getting hurt. though there are people i'd let the apocalypse happen to save. some people are just that important. sorry world. if we're going down. we're going down together at least? dean and i have very very similar music tastes. though some of my stuff would be thrown out the window. we both have stupid humor. we're loyal. i do like my jeans, t-shirts and flannels. but we are VERY different in many ways. or it'd be boring to write someone just like me.

11. Do you write scenes in order, or do you jump around?

I try to write them in order mostly, but sometimes if I get a flash of a snipplet I will write them down before getting to them to not forget them and then try to get chronologically to them. So, I do write in order but I am flexible about it.

37. What fic has been the hardest for you to write?

Gosh, A Sanctuary Christmas Carol is not a walk in the park for sure, but so far it's probably Catching Lightning. That was the first time I actually wrote a kissing scene and I am so unsure how to write those, I find them very difficult to get them to feel right, Idk. It's also part of the problem I am facing with ASCC atm.

45. What genre/trope do you tend to write the most?

That would be angst, I fear. I think it's tagged in nearly everything I have posted and everything I think up is also heavily filled with it, so yeah. I do enjoy writing it though.

I've been debating on what costume/theming to give Mishima in my self aware au! I have way too many concepts for him 😭 Here are the themes I'm most set with

Yes, I know that a Persona and Palace are huge parts that are connected to a character's personality and story, but HEAR ME OUT I am actually flexible with this

Bug: YES THE BUGGABOY!! I love him. I gave him kusarigama because bug. Also, due to bug, I can adequately give him the fighting style that is yeeting himself directly at you. I also think that the overall rot/decay theming is very fitting for the absolute atrocities that will occur there if I manage to not switch the plot around. Also, AM being his Persona really fits because of his arc revolving around spite and hatred, AND it has the added benefit of being able to spit out the skill cards Mishima hacks into his possession because computer. Idk I just really like bug Mishi, but I'm just not sure how to design him. Also heehee hoohoo computer bug hacker boy, pun intended and noted on his part

Pierrot: I KNOW I KNOWWWW I'M OBSESSED WITH UNWELL CLOWNBOYS AND I'VE SNORTED SAILOR MOON SEASON 4 LIKE ITS CRACK COCAINE SINCE CHILDHOOD I KNOWW!!!! But. I am incredibly attached to this one and I have drawn him like twice. Also, Joker parallels! And I get to make him tell this joke: "What do you call a flat detective?? A PANCAKE!" before trying to bonk Akechi to actual death. I'd need to find a proper Persona for him, most preferably clown-adjacent or from a black and white movie. NO I'M NOT USING STEAMBOAT WILLY (though maybe I SHOULD search old cartoons 👀)

Teddy Bear: I listened to way too much Psycho Teddy and then this creature came into existence. Really not sure about this one, frankly, because I can only imagine him with a full mask on like a mascot head and just straight up paws and that stands out a bit too much for me. He's cute though,, plus he and Player can be plushie friends!

Knight: Ah yes, back to basics. This was one of the first concepts I had for him, and frankly I just wanted to put this here for posterity. However, upon further inspection, this SCREAMS spite towards Akechi. 10/10 teammate behavior. ALSO THE SYMBOLISM GOES CRAZY? A prince, a knight, a dark lord, a king, and a strange creature,,, all on one team. This genuinely slaps I am NUTS over this after pondering it a bit

Favourite Season : Ooooh, I can't choose. Aesthetically, maybe summer or winter, with autumn close behind. In practice, I'm terrible with temperatures that are too hot or too cold, though!

Scents you like : Vanilla and coffee! Though my sense of smell is pretty bad generally, I'd say these are my favorites.

Coffee / tea / hot cocoa : Tea (with a bit of sugar!). Hot cocoa can be great too, and I don't like the taste of coffee, but I do benefit from the effects of caffeine, so I tend to drink lattes instead.

How long have you been in your current fandom ? : for BSD, it's only been about a year! Actually, I'm pretty sure I got into the series sometime around December 2022, since that's when I first made my Chuuya blog?? It's pretty quickly risen to the spot of my favourite piece of media ever though, at least currently, so congrats to BSD are in order, I think!

Do you prefer to ‘ wing ’ your threads or discuss plots with your partner during or ahead of time ? : I enjoy both! I think my favourite thing to do is to have or discuss a general idea for the starter/thread, for example like... "my muse is time traveling from the future to meet yours", or "my muse discovers a secret yours is hiding," so like basic plotting, and then just seeing where things go from there. But I absolutely enjoy winging it too/just seeing what happens, and I love just as much when my partners have something they particularly want to explore and let me know, so I'm pretty flexible in that regard, I think! (aka send me your wishlists >:) )

Are you okay with getting to know your RP partners outside of writing / becoming good online friends or even offline friends ? : 100000%, honestly I would love this so much! But full warning in advance, I am... very bad at being active and replying to messages quickly in general, otl. I don't have many friends irl as a result of this, even though I really would really like to make more... unfortunately my functioning issues in most areas of my life are pretty bad and this extends to maintaining conversations too. HOWEVER, you're absolutely always welcome to message me whenever you'd like, even if I haven't replied to your last message yet! I find that this can help prompt me to reply to my old messages as well, and I can promise you that my slow replies are absolutely not an indication that I don't want to talk with you or of how I feel about you - I'm just very awkward and find socializing hard, but that doesn't stop me from really enjoying talking with you nonetheless!! Finally , what are your favourite genres of RP ?: I'm not so good at defining genres, so instead I'll say - I love angst and conflict between characters but also resolving conflicts too, seeing characters get to know and relate to each other better... I'm a big fan of threads with supernatural elements, in particular those that are shocking to the characters, and of secrets being revealed generally too! Exploring character's insecurities and beliefs and having them change their perspective is great as well... basically, I'd say I enjoy "meaty" threads with lots of emotions or action over like slice-of-life, casual interactions, but even those can be fun if they're well done, honestly!
