Lunter is better and make more thematic sense than Huntlow

Not saying I would’ve wanted Lunter to be end game, I love the found family dynamic they have and I love Lumity, but in my opinion it works way better than Huntlow as a Caleb/Evelyn parallel and makes way more sense for the story. Even purely platonically it just makes so much more sense that Hunter and Willow being implied to get together in the second to last episode of the show

Thinking about how at the end of Arcane... (SPOILERS!!! also if you haven't watched Arcane yet what are you doing)

Jinx reacts to Silco aiming a gun at Vi by wildly shooting around and ending up fatally wounding Silco while Vi barely escapes a bullet, how Jinx's gut reflex was to protect her sister even after everything that happened and after all the times she questioned Vi's loyalty, how Vi coming to harm was something she would not, or maybe rather could not stand by and watch happening - just like she could not do so when she was just Powder - even if her father figure who was actively trying to estrange the two sisters was the one intending to do this harm, how Jinx is devastated at not only the loss but the fact that once again, she messed up, she jinxed it, and then him affirming his loyalty and acceptance of her eventhough she just shot him, this all happening in a space Jinx set up designed specifically to finally confont Vi and probe at her, wanting Vi to choose her, "...then you can have Powder back", Vi being unable to do so and in Jinx's eyes Caitlyn being chosen over her and being abandoned again. The one person who she was desperate to be chosen and loved by fails to do so and the only other person that has shown her (partial, by accepting her current self but not her past self) accepance she just killed to save the one who couldn't.

Thinking about how all of this mirrors the end of act 1, when she by mistake killed someone close to her, she was desperate for Vi's acceptance but not gettting it, only for Silco to give it to her. Only now no one is swooping in, she is alone.

Thinking about how once again this is a night that will change her forever.

in universe one, alpha charles wrinkles his nose at the smell of alpha max and doesn’t stop to ask why he can smell his every note. in two, a pair of agents meet at a bar and max thinks charles is deeply unprofessional for flirting. in three, they’re hiking in the mountains and caught in a storm with only each other’s body heat to cling to for safety.

in every world i write them in they’re yanking, thrashing, biting at the string of fate and asking “why you? why here? why now??”

and the answer is variation of the same hauntingly beautiful tune that you know, at a cellular level, deep in the ventricles of your heart, each time.
