Atlantis Boy - story
This is the story of Cascade Lan'vive and a dragon called Aeginarra.
Watch the Atlantis Boy MV here!
With the appearance of the Dragon Queen, dragons appeared throughout the lands of Chrysathelia, shattering the peace that the mortal and divine worked so hard to preserve and nurture. The City-State of Lunaer, of course, would be ravaged by war itself. It was said two military commanders went missing as a fearsome dragon of flame wreaked havoc, declaring himself “the king.”
The military of Lunaer fought back with all their might, but this dragon possessed a fearsome strength, being able to summon and control corrupted beasts to fight at his side. For weeks on end, the people of Lunaer lived in fear for their lives as the battle raged on.
Cascade Lan’vive was a young and sickly boy, around the age of 13 or 14. In his childhood, he fell with a deep, deep illness, with no way to be cured. Although he was rejected and pitied for his illness, he found peace by the shore. The sight of the glittering waves every day was his comfort. He would swim every day; the ocean was his friend.
However, as the dragon came to cause destruction upon Lunaer, so did the waters nearby stir with destructive storms. It was no longer safe for Cascade to live by the ocean, but as the oceanside dwellers were evacuating, he was engulfed by the storm, left behind to drown in the ocean.
Within the depths of the sea was another dragon – there she resided in her own pitiful resentment, swirling around in her raging storm of emotions. It seemed Cascade’s fate was to die within her rampage, but she took notice of the boy who had ended up in her domain. His very presence snapped her out of her mire of distress. His body, weak – a flicker about to die out. But in that flicker was a spark of light, as his heart called out to her. His energy resonated throughout the dark waters, calling to her.
She realized this boy was much like herself. That feeling of rejection; being cast aside – it was the resonance between the two.
She realized she wanted to save the boy, but she didn’t know how. Only having become a dragon recently, alone in the deep sea, she felt like she was only capable of destruction. But in that resonance of their hearts, she poured all her power and being into his soul; an instinctual reaction to try to save him.
…
There, light engulfed the deep sea as she found herself in his mind space. A vision of the inside of his being; he stood in the distance amidst a white haze. Then, he collapsed one knee onto the ground, and then two; holding onto his chest. She ran towards him, kneeling down to hold him.
“Are you… okay?”
“Guess this is where I die.” A forlorn look to the ground. “At the hands of a… dragon…”
The white haze had seemed to glow, and it flickered; becoming darker.
“I am… Aeginarra. What’s your name?”
“...Why does it matter to you?” He looked up at the dragon, and sighed. “Cascade.”
He examined her appearance more; a body covered in blue scales; black horns protruding from her head– he had never seen anything like her before.
“You’re one of those… dragons. What do you want? Just kill me already.”
Aeginarra flinched.
“I’m already done with this life. This is where it ends, anyways.”
“I didn’t… No, that’s not…” She trailed off.
Those words cut at her heart. She remembered “that person” telling her how powerful she could be, conquering over others. “That person” who was always at her side, who rejected her. But, she never wanted to hurt anyone at all.
“I wanted to help you.”
“What are you even saying? I’m as good as dead anyways.”
The surrounding whiteness flickered, dimmer; yet dimmer. She felt hopelessness in this boy’s soul; the light dying out in these last moments.
“...I wanted to give you my power. So you could live.”
“Huh?”
He looked up at her. She met his eyes, pleading; hopeful there was a chance.
“I don’t know if I can help you… I don’t know if this will even work.”
“Then why are you bothering with me?”
“Because I believe there’s a chance!”
Aeginarra’s words echoed around him, reaching his core. It was in that moment, he realized that their hearts had resonated. This woman, though she looked unhuman; like a beast – she had such a heart of compassion not even Cascade had felt from other humans. This woman had hope in him. For what, he wasn’t sure, but it was something important to her, that he felt she had to do.
“This power… Great as it may be, if you could accept it, you could live.”
The lights flickered back to life, as dimming fog around them shone once more.
If there was just one chance, for a new life beyond the shore…
Cascade opened his eyes.
Drowning in the sea, the raging storm came to a close. However, the young and sickly boy was already deep in the water, almost dead – all alone in the darkness.
Though, just as the raging storm dies, so do calm waters return. As he came to, he realized that he was alive. Breathing; surviving underwater.
He was alive.
“I’m so glad you were able to live, Cascade,” a voice from within his mind said.
“Huh?”
Realizing what had just happened – who that voice was, why she wasn’t in front of him anymore – he looked around instinctually.
“Oh… Aegi… narra, was it?” He asked again.
“Yes. Now, there’s something I want us to do. Shall we return to the shore?”
Cascade nodded, and swam towards the surface.

The Horror Movie I Starred In.
You are the hungry man, he says, the dog that is always wanting.
I don’t try to convince him otherwise; he knows who I am. He knows I am the damned, the damnation, and the damning. He knows I will make you sick if you let me.
He keeps saying, how are you still hungry? There is nothing left to consume, you’ve emptied the cupboards, and carved out my heart, for god’s sake enough is enough.
But I can’t explain myself, I can’t quench the urge to inhale everything, even when he sits me down on the couch
even when I tell him I’ll stop; shove a key into my chest and lock that shit up tight.
He doesn’t believe I can put a stopper in a black hole.
This conversation is over, it’s been over for days, but we’ll have it another hundred times.
We never mean it anyway, not really, he likes destruction too much to leave me.
He likes the righteous heroism of keeping something damaged on a leash, he read too much Stephen King, and this is a horror movie we’ll direct, act, and martyr in until the universe gets tired of this story and requests a different one.
Rewrite the fucking script, Toby, call me by the right name.
In this new version he’ll keep fucking me over until we get to the place where I get to make another confession.
Where I get to get on my knees and plead, tell me that you love me, tell me that I’m your best friend, and you can’t exist without me.
He’ll get to act like the sorry one.
I’ll hit the buttons until the message says I miss your company and he’ll ignore my text and go home to the man that he’s screwing
and I’ll spend the night knowing that he only ever loved me when he thought he could have me.
In my head I search his body for the scars, the places I sunk my grip in too deep, and can’t find anything. It’s like I never touched him.
In my head I tell him, you will never get the chance to know this version of me. I’m not giving it up. This one thing will be mine. The hair you never got the chance to touch, the mouth you never got to kiss, and the name I never heard you say.
When I finally leave, he’ll still get to cry. He’ll still get to say he’s sorry. He’ll still get to blame me, my appetite, and the blade I buried. But he knows how it ends now.
The credits roll as the cosmos splits in two and I’m still starving.

hi
could yoy do please some yandere kuroo and kageyama headcanons? 💕
nsfw is welcomed 😊
My first headcanons 🤞🏽
Yandere! Kuroo Tetsuro
Content warnings: markers of a toxic/emotionally abusive relationship; dumbification; daddy kink; sex toy(s); mild public play/exhibitionism
😇SFW😇
This boy has a fascination for messy people.
And by "messy", I mean that Kuroo has a soft spot for those who put up some sort of front. A performative mask to hide their crumbling psyche.
Oh.
Those are his favorites. (Especially when they're not even aware that they’re hiding something.)
Maybe it's because they're so easy to manipulate? (Or perhaps it's a mild case of schadenfreude?)
It's the instigator in him.
He knows which buttons to push and at what time to exactly do it.
Kuroo lives for being that guy who causes a full blown fight by simply dropping a backhanded comment or two.
For being the final straw that eventually breaks the proverbial camel's back.
And then slipping back into the shadows to watch the Drama unfold.
So it's not unlikely for him to form an obsession for someone who's so emotionally vulnerable.
Someone who has the weight of the world on their shoulders; who has everything locked up inside to the point of bursting.
Because then it won't take much to have them falling apart and unraveling before him.
But he's also a caretaker, you know.
He's opportunistic and covertly callous and mischievous, yes.
But you've seen how much he tends to those close to him.
So when you do fall apart, you will do it in his arms.
He will take care of you.
He'll say everything you've always wanted to hear.
You're beautiful and wanted and loved and you don't have to be brave anymore.
Kuroo's here and he understands you.
From the barest changes in your inflection to your most subtle facial expression.
Other people won't catch it.
To Kuroo, though? Tell-tale signs that you're hiding your feelings again.
He understands you in a way that no else had; that no else cared to try.
And eventually that’ll be the very thing that you’ll hold onto.
Never mind that his every word has become an indisputable fact (when it shouldn’t be).
Never mind that the line between Kuroo just being a mindful boyfriend AND Kuroo disregarding your boundaries has become too blurry that it’s impossible to tell which is which.
Never mind that your entire world has narrowed down to just him and you.
Because all your friends have, one by one, made their way for the exit.
They tell you that they're so tired.
They've warned you- begged you, actually- to end this insidiously suffocating relationship.
"I know he's only been nice to you and to us, but there's just...something wrong about that guy," they say.
But until they pinpoint, exactly, what that "something wrong" is; and until you see it for yourself, you're sticking by his side.
Damn whatever people say.
So.
Kuroo's not the yandere who'd chain you up in his basement or something.
Not that he's above it, but because he doesn't really need to.
Not when he has you bound right where it really matters.
😈NSFW😈
Kuroo has perfected being a dom down to a Science.
He knows exactly when to be mean and hurtful and sweet and kind and giving to you.
Kuroo's very generous, methinks! But only if he believes you deserved it.
So you better prove that you earned it!!
He'll having you cumming and gushing into his hand if you pleaded just enough!!
Looked into his eyes all pouty and teary and pliant to all his wishes.
Very into treating you and talking to you like you're not capable of comprehending words.
Oh, darling. I know I'm hurting you. I know I am. But you like it, don't you? That's right. Fuck yeah, you do, you fucking slut.
That's because you're just a dumb little baby, aren't you? You'd be happy as long as daddy makes you cum?
And you'd nod and say yes so obediently as he pounds your little hole even though you can't hear him over the sound of your own moans.
ALSO!!!
HE IS A TEASE!!!!
A FUCKINGN!!!!!!!!! TEASE!!!!
Every seggsy time is edging time!!
Has a thing for slapping your ass until your cheeks are bruised and tender under his palms.
And for sticking a vibrator inside you while you're out in public.
Just to teach you a lesson whenever he feels like you're not learning enough.
"Do you want me to come back until you're ready?" the waiter droned, obviously suppressing the urge to roll his eyes when all you did was grip the napkin in front of you.
You couldn't even look at poor kid; couldn't even make out a sound. You're too busy stifling the tingling within your walls, prompting you to cross your legs beneath the table and squeeze your thighs together.
And Kuroo's just...scanning the menu. Sitting idly before you. He's resting his chin against his open palm, long fingers brushing under his nose, while you're practically grinding down the chair.
You feel yourself leak into the crotch of your underwear, sticky liquid squelching against the crack of your ass as the toy continued to vibrate, burning you up and melting your insides, the buzzing a white noise only you could hear.
His indifference was unflappable. Kuroo even managed to call out, "Excuse me. Sorry about that earlier. We're ready now," so smoothly despite your desperate attempts to catch his attention. Then, he recited a bunch of dishes that you didn’t have the appetite for. Like you’re not outright writhing and earning a few disconcerted looks from the table next to you.
All you wanted was for him to put an end to this. You've learned your lesson. You're not gonna disappoint him again.
Instead, you watched in agonizing fear as he reached for his pocket. And immediately, without a warning, you felt the toy shake violently inside you.
"Ah!" you cried, sharply folding your arms and legs, making the plates and utensils clink against each other as your wrists chafed against your hard nipples.
Your boyfriend halted, leaned closer, and looked at you in a convincing display of concern.
"Are you alright, babe?" he muttered, caressing your knee, his nails pressing down just a tad. Not too hard. Just enough for you to hiss in a heady mixture of pleasure and pain.
You managed a small, quivering "uh-huh" as you begged him with your eyes. Conveying as much message as you could.
"Daddy, I'll be good for you. I swear. I won't lie anymore. I won't make you angry. I won't do anything that you wouldn't be happy about. Everything I do from this moment on will be just for you, daddy. I promise, daddy-"
But Kuroo only huffed out, a small, faint grin tracing his lips as he turned back to the waiter and said, "One cream pie, please."
Yandere! Kageyama Tobio
Content warning(s): rape/noncon
😇SFW😇
Fourth wall break, if you will: thank you, anon, for putting these characters together because I Believe that they’re each other’s foils in terms of yandere-isms. And this is gonna be an interesting contrast to see (at least, I hope it would be).
So Kuroo’s all subdued mind games, right? Like, you have to do a whole routine of mental gymnastics if you want to dig deep and analyze how he had your head spinning.
But Kageyama?
Kageyama says fuck that.
Kageyama, genius though he is, is about as subtle as a metal bat to the head when it comes to his darling.
He has no qualms about tying you to his bed once the opportunity presents itself to him.
But it didn’t start out like that.
At first, perhaps Kageyama was just an aloof classmate whose entire life revolved around volleyball.
The one who couldn’t even take a time out of his day to hang out with the rest of the class on a weekend.
Though Kageyama has a knack for attracting hostility from other people, there comes a time (rare it may be) that it is offset by people who are sympathetic to his idiosyncrasies.
His darling falls under the latter.
That's what draws Kageyama to you.
Hearing stuff like "D'you know what they used to call him before? King!" and "King because he's an arrogant dickhead who thinks he's better than everyone" are not new to him.
But hearing these are: "Stop that. It's rude to talk behind a person's back."
"Kageyama's passionate about volleyball. More than anyone we've ever met. Ok so it's alienating for us! Whatever! But isn't it admirable that he's doing his best at a thing that he loves?"
Kageyama did not get it.
You're not his teammate.
You're not his..anything.
You had no cause to try and be nice to him and defend him and..understand him, really.
So the rest was history.
The beginning might have been awkward.
Every time he tried to talk to you, Kageyama, for some reason, always blurted out the wrong things.
But you didn't mind. You just liked being his friend.
And Kageyama liked having you by his side.
Kageyama liked it, especially, when you're in the sidelines and cheering him on. (This caused quite a ruckus in Karasuno.)
It should have been weird. Kageyama had not known anything else besides volleyball.
Your presence should’ve been that of a stranger encroaching on someone else’s property.
Somehow, though, you fitted in so perfectly.
Like you’re made to be there.
So he tells you: “You’re free, aren’t you? You should be watching me play by now” and “You should be waiting for me after class” and “Stop making excuses. You’re not tired. You can still drop by practice”
You’ve tried to reason with him. (Even contemplated about ending your friendship.)
But it’s not like you’re ever gonna shake him off.
Besides, you know that he wouldn’t accept anything less than perfect.
😈NSFW😈
His darling was his first sexual experience.
And like any beginner, Kageyama was pretty...uh..bad at it ngl.
Add that to the fact that he’s on the bigger side and your first with him wasn’t consensual.
At that time, all Kageyama knew was that he really, really wanted to touch you and kiss you and fuck you senseless until you acknowledge that there’s no running from him.
Trust, though, that Kageyama will not settle for being bad or, heaven forbid, mediocre at it.
Nope.
Not. a. chance.
Doesn’t matter that you’ve spent the entire day fucking.
Kageyama will not rest- not let you rest, until he drags out a moan from you; until you’ve ruined the sheets with how much he’s made you cum; until he has you begging for more.
Will experiment a lot.
Will test out how fast and hard he has to fuck you to get what kind of reaction he wants from you.
Very attentive even to your quietest gasp.
If you so much as show a sign that you’re finding whatever it is he’s doing to your body pleasurable- curl your toe or arch your back- Kageyama will amp it up to the point where you’re screaming.
He’ll have this haughty, shit-eating grin while doing it too.
“Yes, you can,” Kageyama growled. “Spread those legs and show me how you do it.”
You shook your head, your body protesting at the slight movement. You’re already on the verge of blacking out. And you don’t have to check the ticking wall clock to know that, by now, Kageyama, too, should be knocked out and dozing off beside you.
But he only grabbed your wrists, making you howl in pain as soon as he touched the cuts and bruises across the skin. Remnants of the nylon rope that bound them together not too long ago.
“Touch yourself,” he repeated.
Kageyama’s voice is a rasping noise to your ears, his hot breath causing goosebumps all over you as he pressed his lips against the shell.
“No-no more, Kag-Kageyama,” you forced yourself to say, though your throat was dry and aching from all your screeching.
He clicked his tongue.
You flinched.
And you didn’t think it possible for Kageyama to be more frightening than he already is. Until you’d done as he’d told and, like a wolf patiently waiting to pounce, Kageyama zeroed in on how you moved your hands, his own reaching for his cock.
He didn’t take his eyes off of you, groaning as you trembled and mewled under your featherlight touch. Kageyama stroked himself, grinding into his fist until pre-cum dripped from the head.
“That how you like it, huh,” he croaked.
Before you could even reach an orgasm, Kageyama had already pushed you on your back, mimicking the way you pleasured yourself. Only this time it was rougher, more unforgiving, and indifferent to your cries of “Stop! Stop it, I can’t- Enough, Kageyama!”

The doctor lies unmoving on a medical cot, stitches across his throat to close the gouge that was meant to end his life.
“Do we have any idea who is behind this? Or why?” Steve asks quietly, eyes darting between his most trusted man and his husband.
“I do not know who is behind it, but I think they are aware that we know.” Steve’s brows pull together at his husband’s words, and he waits for him to continue.
James huffs out a deep breath, glancing around the small room as if checking for any listening ears.
“Doctor Banner found an incision on the base of my skull. Someone has performed an operation on me without my knowing. I’m assuming the Doctor found something out, and while on his way to find me he was ambushed.”
Steve’s still stuck on the fact that his husband has been tampered with.
“What do you mean someone performed an operation on you?” James shakes his head. “I’m not sure what they did, but I have reason to believe that it is why I have been so hostile towards... our wife.” He fears saying your name. He doesn’t want anything to trigger the beast.
“How long have you known this?” Steve demands, angry that James would keep something like this from him.
“Since the day she went out into the snow. I was not sure who I could trust. I still know not. But one thing is certain: someone means to kill our wife and destroy our marriage, and it is someone close to us.” Regret instantly fills the blond king and he excuses himself without another word, head swarming with thoughts that include nothing but pain and punishment.
His feet take him down the spiral staircase, his hands wrenching open the cell door and grabbing the prisoner by his collar.
“Who is it that sent you?! Tell me! Now!” The man is confused for a moment before a yellow-toothed grin splits his face.
“You will tell me now!” Steve pulls his fist back and slams it against the man’s face, but the prisoner only laughs manically.
“Who is it that intends on hurting my wife? On ruining my marriage?” The man shakes his head, blood dribbling down his chin.
“The only one who ruins your marriage and hurts your wife is you, your majesty. But from what I hear through the walls, your bloodline ends with you. The great Kings of the West will be nothing more than fairytales. Their whore wife, a forgotten name. And that will be your doing.” Steve’s vision clouds and he unleashes his fury upon the prisoner, beating him to a bloody pulp until his face is hardly visible.
The King stumbles back, chest heaving and fists covered in blood, while the man slumps to the floor, wheezing and gasping.
“Cut off one head... two more shall take its place,” is the last thing the man utters before collapsing in a pool of his own blood.
Steve stands there, furious and dumbfounded. He’s so lost in his thoughts that he doesn’t realize he isn’t alone anymore until a cool hand is on his shoulder, turning him around.
“What happened?” James asks, his eyes on the dead man on the floor and then on his husband’s bloody fists.
“Your assumption is correct. Someone has orchestrated this and we are being toyed with. Where’s (Y/n)?” The mention of your name has James squeezing his eyes shut as the beast bares its fangs.
“I know not. But you haven’t time for that. Thor and Anthony should be here within the hour. You need to make yourself presentable. We will tell them of our problem and see if they can offer any assistance.” Steve doesn’t want to meet with the other Kings. No, he wants to find you and get on his knees and beg for forgiveness, of which you may or may not grant, but he’s willing to beg and plead in front of his entire kingdom if he needs to.
“Come on. Let’s go get you cleaned up.” James ushers the blond out of the dungeon and to his chambers, his mind racing as he tries to piece the mystery together.
~*~
Your eyes trace over the trails etched in the book in your grasp, trying desperately to memorize them.
You’re so engaged in your reading that you don’t notice the man in front of you until you’re walking into him.
“Oh!” You stumble back, the book falling from your grasp as you lose your footing. The man is quick and grabs you around the waist to prevent you from falling.
“I am very sorry, Your Majesty. You must forgive me, for I was not paying attention to where I was walking.” The man has a deep, booming voice, his accent different than the ones you’re used to.
“It’s quite alright. I was hardly paying attention myself.” You look up at him and your eyebrows raise.
He’s an absolute Adonis of a man.
With beautifully kind blue eyes, a warm and inviting smile, and long locks of blond hair that are pulled back into a half-bun.
“It must be an interesting story that you were reading then?” He questions, hand dropping from around your waist as he stoops down to pick up your book.
“You could say that.” You’re nervous. You know not who this man is nor where his allegiance lies.
“This is a book of maps. Have you a journey planned?” He seems just genuinely curious but you’re defensive nonetheless.
“Might I ask who you are and why you need to know?” He raises his brows then chuckles.
“I suppose we have not been introduced, although I have heard many things about you. I am King Thor, of Asgard. And you are Queen (Y/n). Born of Orlen but wed in Acadia. The Kings eagerly awaited your arrival, I must say. And you are every bit as beautiful as they said.”
You shake your head bashfully.
“May I know where your journey will take you? It will remain a secret between the two of us. You have my word.” You ponder this for a moment, but he looks so kind and so genuine, you can’t stop yourself from telling him.
“Well if you must know, I’m leaving.” He huffs a breath of surprise.
“Leaving? But for what purpose? You are a queen.”
You laugh softly at that, the tugging up of your cheeks making your cuts burn.
“A queen, yet I am treated like a prisoner. You must forgive me for speaking so plainly in your presence, but I fear that I have lost any sense of... propriety in this place. My husbands may have spoken highly of me, but that was before they met me, I suppose. Now... I am nothing more than a thorn in their sides.”
Thor shakes his head, not believing a word coming from your mouth.
“That cannot be.” You sigh heavily and tug the collar of your gown down, showing him the dark bruises around your neck.
“From his Majesty, King James. And King Steven gave me these.” You show him the bruises on your arms next.
He’s absolutely appalled.
“And I assume they are the ones responsible for these?” One of his warm fingers traces across the marks on your cheeks and you nod.
“I do not blame you for wanting to leave. You must feel stifled.” You nod, taking his outstretched arm and allowing him to lead you down the hallway.
“It... has not been an easy transition. I have not even seen my kingdom yet. I know not what it has to offer nor if it is thriving. I have not met my people or even seen my lands. This place is supposed to be home to me, but it is no more than a prison with hot water and soft sheets.”
Thor’s quiet for a long moment and you regret every speaking. Just as you’re about to tug free from his grip and lock yourself back in your chambers, he turns to you.
“We cannot simply allow you to not know what your kingdom has to offer! I am making it my duty to show you the beauties of Acadia.” Your eyebrows raise.
But surely you’re here on business? You mustn’t have time for something as tedious as that.” He takes your hand and brings it up to his lips, pressing a soft kiss against your knuckles. “A chance to get to know the Queen? Show her that her Kingdom is not all bad? That is not tedious. The Kings can wait. They have Anthony. I will take you through the Kingdom and show you all that there is to see.”
~*~
Thor is true to his word and shows you every nook and cranny in the Kingdom. From the poorest parts to the wealthiest.
“This is the village orphanage. I often come to volunteer my time, however business has kept me away for far longer than I’d like to admit.” You pull your cloak tighter around yourself at the biting chill of the wind, a frown on your face as you look at the run-down building.
“Do the kings not know the ruins of their Kingdom? Surely something can be done to fix this building. The children must be freezing.” You’re reminded of your own experience in the cold confines of the north tower in Orlen. The small chamber you were locked in whenever your adoptive mother did not want to see you.
“The Kings often busy themselves with their work. They are conquerors. They have not the time for such trivial tasks. It would be the duty of a queen to fix the Kingdom, here at least. They are my friends, and they are good at taking, however it seems they know little of giving back.” You nod at this, knowing firsthand how much they can take and not give back.
“I wish I had known that the kingdom was in such ruins. I would have made it my priority.” He looks at you for a long moment, wondering what on Earth could cause the Kings to treat you so poorly.
“If you would like, I can help you to arrange some repairs? Perhaps we can make it your project? Have you in charge of it. It could be your first official duty as Queen.” You smile but shake your head sadly, turning away from the orphanage and back towards your horses.
“I doubt the Kings would approve of something like that. I’m sure I will have their wrath to face for having kept you from your business for so long. I fear what they will do to me, if I am quite honest with you. Steven was lovely before but... he has... I know not how to explain it.” Thor comes up behind you and places a gentle hand on your shoulder.
“I will ensure that they do not bring any more harm to you, Petal. You have endured far more than should be expected of you. You have little to gain, and yet you remain here for them.” You shrug, walking with him to your horses.
“My situation were I to leave would not be very different. I have nowhere to go and no one to turn to. I am alone both in the Kingdom and outside of it.” Thor hates the truth behind your words.
“Come, let’s get you back to the Palace before you catch your death.” He helps you up onto the horse then gets on his, mind full of everything you’ve told him and all that he needs to discuss with the Kings.

He walks you to your chambers, having told Wanda to draw a warm bath for you. As he reaches the wooden door, he pauses and smiles warmly at you.
“I very much enjoyed our time today, Your Majesty. I hope to spend more time with you during my stay. But unfortunately, I must go.”
As he’s turning to leave, a voice calls your name. The way you stiffen has Thor grinding his teeth together in frustration.
“Your Majesty,” you greet, bowing your head to your husband while your hand inches to your door.
“May I speak with you? Please?” You open your mouth to reply but Thor cuts you off.
“Actually, Steven, I believe you and I have matters of our own.” And just like that, The booming blond ushers your husband down the hallway. Steve’s blue eyes stay on you, his head turned to look over his shoulder as much as he can until they round the corner and render you out of sight.
You let out a breath you didn’t know you were holding and enter your bedroom, smiling tightly at Wanda as she helps you into your bath.
~*~
“You were with (Y/n) all day?” Thor shrugs, “would it matter if I was? It seems that I am the only friend she has.” Steve grinds his teeth together but huffs a breath out through his nose.
“I understand that I have been unfair, but all I want is to make things better between the two of us.”
Thor shakes his head, thick arms crossed over his broad chest as he looks between the two kings. “That can wait. What is it that you needed to discuss with me so urgently?”
Steve sighs and looks over at James as if trying to figure out where to begin.
“We believe that someone is trying to sabotage our marriage to break us apart and overthrow our rule. And it must be someone close to us. James has been... tampered with. And I was made to question the loyalties of my own wife. My anger and haste for answers have... brought forth a beast I had hoped to keep hidden from her. And I fear I have played my part in the sabotage of my marriage.” Thor thinks about how helpless you sounded, how absolutely broken down you seemed and can’t help but agree with Steve’s words.
“If someone is plotting to overthrow your rule, they must be close. Close enough to know of any decisions being made. It would be wise to deceive them.” James furrows his brows in confusion. “Make it seem as if they are winning. Send away your wife and tell no one the truth.”
Steve’s shocked at the suggestion.
“Send her away? To where? And with whom? We cannot very well abandon her when people mean to kill her!” Thor purses his lips for a moment before smiling.
“She won’t be alone.”
The other two Kings stare at him as if he’s grown a second head.
“You mean to stay with her? And protect her?”
“Your wife is a spitfire, that much I can tell. She may come across as a woman of few words, but she has a raging soul that cannot be so easily tamed. She wishes to leave you, plans to.”
James’ shoulders cave and Steve’s face crumbles.
“She told you this?” The brunet asks, voice hoarse and weak.
“Not in so many words, but the desire is there. She is unhappy. If she would agree, I would take her to Asgard to be a wife of my own, however, her heart is loyal to Acadia.” The two kings each glare at the big blond man, angry at the very thought of someone taking their wife from them.
Thor continues, unbothered by their anger.
“Which is why she should be sent away. I have a cottage at the border of Asgard and Acadia. My men will be around and you can send men of your own. I will stay with her until she is comfortable and then I will take my leave, but for her safety and her sanity, she must leave the Palace.”
The silence in the room hangs heavily over all three men for a long while before Steve nods.
“Very well. If it is truly in her best interests, then fine. But I will not shun her without giving her a proper explanation.” Thor bows his head as Steve rushes past him, heading towards your chambers.
He knocks once then slowly pushes the door open, desperate to see you and grovel at your feet.
You’re seated on your bed, a book in hand and a shocked expression on your face.
“Your Majesty,” you greet softly, bowing your head.
“No, (Y/n) none of that. I was... out of line. I will never be able to apologize enough for everything I have done to you.” You say nothing but your heart hurts at the fact that Thor clearly told him something.
“You have nothing to apologize for, Your Majesty,” you say stiffly, moving your gaze back down to the book in your lap.
He sits on the edge of your bed, his eyes on the scratches decorating your delicate face.
“We have been unkind and unfair to you, my darling. I hope that one day you will forgive us, but until then, there is something we must discuss.” You have no idea where this conversation could be going, and that thought alone scares you.
“You will be leaving tonight.”
Your face must display the confusion and fear you feel at his words because he’s quick to clarify.
“Joining Thor and staying in a cottage where our kingdoms border. There are people here, people close to myself and James that wish to do you harm.” He takes your hand gently between both of his and presses a soft kiss to your fingers.
“It pains me to do it, but I know you need it as well. You’ve been deprived here. No friends and no family. We’ve treated you terribly and not as Queen should be treated." You keep your eyes cast down towards your lap, unable to bear seeing the King so distraught in front of you.
He sniffles and places another kiss to the back of your hand.
“I hope that you will return soon, but if you must take time then I understand. When you do decide you are ready to return, we will both be waiting with open arms.” He pauses for another moment before speaking again, his voice softer than before.
“I had hoped that James would join me but he... he is not well. But he misses you dearly, of that I am certain. The days will darken with your departure.” He presses another kiss to your knuckles then slowly rises to his feet.
“No one is to know the true reason for your departure. You mustn't tell anyone, for I fear you will not be safe if you do. Can you promise me that?” He asks, his eyes full of desperation and sorrow.
“Yes, your majesty.” His heart cracks at the fact that you’re still not addressing him by his name, but he realizes it will take time for the bond to be rebuilt between the two of you.
“Wanda will pack your things then you will be met by Thor and he will take you somewhere safe.” He cups your cheek gently, sniffling and trying to fight tears.
“I am so very sorry that your own home is a place that causes you pain.” With that, he turns on his heel and exits your chambers without so much as another glance, the pain he’s feeling evident in the tightness of his shoulders and the stiffness of his walk.
It’s not five minutes later when Thor is at the door to your chambers, sliding a thick wool cloak over your shoulders and pulling the hood up to cover your face.
“Just a precaution, Your Majesty. And the wind has a bit of a bite to it. But a carriage is waiting.” You nod your understanding and follow him silently out of the palace that has been no more than a prison to you.
Steve and James watch from separate windows as you climb into the carriage, not sparing a single glance back at the palace. But they cannot find it in themselves to blame you. What you have been forced to endure is far worse than anyone should have to. Especially someone as delicate as yourself.
A dark cloud falls over the kingdom as their queen is whisked away, brought to a safe haven that their kings couldn’t provide, by a man who is not even a member of their kingdom.
~*~
The journey to Thor’s cottage is a fairly quiet one, far too many thoughts racing in your mind and feelings in your heart.
“You are unhappy to be leaving the Palace?” Thor asks, confusion evident in his voice. You sigh heavily and shake your head, turning to look at him.
“It is a relief to be able to speak freely, however, I cannot help the guilt that I feel. It is my duty to do what the require of me, regardless of whether or not I enjoy it.” Thor shakes his head, a frown on his handsome face.
“No human should ever have to endure that. Regardless of their duties. You will not be shunned by the kings and even if you were, I’m sure Orlen would accept you back with open arms.”
You chuckle once, the sound dull and lacking humour.
“Orlen could not care any less about me if they tried. I’m not a princess to them. Merely the bastard of a King. One who was convenient to use in a trade agreement. My father would have me beheaded if he knew I was running from the kings.”
Thor is rendered speechless by this new information, his heart heavy for you, the delicate princess who deserves a far better fate than the one gifted to her.

Hey, I'm send my ask cause I love your writing style. This is the aftermath I'd sick MK. Pigsy & Tang took him to the hospital while Wukong is in FFM waiting & worried out of his mind. So he flies there & he is in fir a shock when he discovers his kid is so sick & in hospital. Prompt list: #39 & 45.
*rubs clown hands together* yall really want part 3? >:3 its angsty but what else am I know for? XD
in this one Tang gets a chance to be a protective dad again
PART 1 PART 2
Prompt List
I'm Sorry Bud
Rating: G
Wukong wasn't worried. He was the incredibly handsome sage equal to heaven and super immortal. He had no reason to worry Except….maybe he was incredibly worried. No matter how much he tried, his stomach snapped and curled unhappily every time he even thought about MK.
He got a phone call.
Not from MK but from his dad Pigsy.
He didn't even get a word out before hellfire had rained down on him. Call him old school but there were definitely some new curse words that he had never heard before that spewed out of the hog's mouth.
He was flayed verbally so viscously he shuddered under the swearing and even looked over his shoulder to make sure the pigman did not spontaneously spawn behind him.
The call ended with Pigsy talking about taking MK to the hospital and it was HIS fault.
They hung up after that and Wukong hasn't stopped pacing for the past five minutes. MK was sick, running a deadly fever, and in the hospital because of it.
Because of him...
He bites his thumb, his tail lashing wildly behind him, while he continues to dig a trench with his feet.
"Fuck it."
He leaps upward, summoning his nimbus, and speeds off into the sky to the general Hospital. He's there for only a few minutes but it feels like forever. He didn't even wait for his nimbus to stop before he's timing off to the front doors.
He probably scares the poor lady behind the desk with how he practically slammed into it with how fast he was rushing. He asked for MK which got him nothing till he realized he needed to probably give them his full real name. After saying Qi Xiaotian Sanzang they directed him to a room.
He rushes to room 607 but before he can even get a hand in the door he's grabbed roughly by the shoulder.
"I wouldn't go in there if I were you…"
Wukong turned around to see MK's other dad, Tang, he's holding a few water bottles under his arm and a can of instant coffee. Looks like they were going to settle on for the night at MKs side, and Tang had been sent out on the errand the get them some drinks.
"Pigsy is still in there, and he's not too keen on seeing your face."
They scan the king up and down with passive eyes that hold a twinge of resentment that makes the fur on the back of his neck bristle defensively.
"I just want to see him…..make sure he's okay." He pleads and the passive gaze melts a little bit sympathetically.
"Please," Wukong begs again, even going so far as to duck his head submissively to the mortal. He just wanted to make sure MK was okay. It was his fault after all that they were sick. He should have never let them egg him on into training in the rain.
Tang looks him over again, studying him with a keen eye. He lets out a sigh eventually and walks forward.
"Okay, but only because MK asked about you once. let me get Pigsy out of the room first."
Wukogn jerks his head upward with surprise. He was actually going to let him see MK?
"Thank you."
"Don't thank me yet. I might not convince him to leave MK's side, wait here and disguise yourself or something." Tang gives him a little head nod before entering the room and shutting the door. Wukong does as requested and transforms into a beatle to cling to the wall.
A few minutes pass and at first, the monkey thinks that Tang couldn't do it and Pigsy wouldn't leave MK's side. But the door opens and the pig demon exits with a grumble about finding a nurse or doctor. Wukong barely has time to fly between the cracks before the door is shut again. He transforms back, landing on his feet.
MK is there.
He looks awful.
The poor boy is laying in a hospital bed, iv hooked up to him to administer fluids and a cooling compress to his forehead. Wukong approaches the bed reverently feeling his heart shatter into a million pieces.
"When they took his temp initially he was running a 104-degree fever," Tang explains walking up beside him and grabbing MK's limp hand.
"He was delirious, crying and shouting Something about being a disappointment before he passed out." They finish, the man rubbing MK's knuckles tenderly. Wukong takes the other side of the bed. And knees there to look at them up close.
"It's your fault you know."
It's like a full-body slam into a mountain. The words were delivered without mercy. He didn't even look at Tang and instead swallowed stiffly.
"You show up out of nowhere, pick MK without any reason that I can understand, and then you make him fill these impossibly big shoes!?" Tang's fist tightens at his side, face growing red slowly and Wukong isn't sure if he prefers this simmering rage of the explosive rage of Pigsy.
"You know how hard it was to build MK back up when we adopted him officially??? He was just a scared timid boy, no confidence! We had to HELP him get where he is now. And then you come along and just-" Tang throws his hands up in the air in frustration "-ruin that in a couple of weeks" he finishes with a growl. Wukogn shrinks further, this feels an awful like when he would get scolded like his master for doing something wrong and he didn't even have a defense for it. All of it was true. He did pick MK for little reason other than he likes the kid's spunk and good heart.
And he was making them fill big shoes. And maybe the big shoes were just too hard for MK to walk in, and maybe he noticed that but didn't help him because he assumed they would get better with time.
"I'm sorry…." He whispers out burying his face into the sheets of MK's bed. He whimpers feeling the guild nash and bites at the lining of his stomach.
"It's your fault...and I don't know if I want ML training with you anymore…."
It was all his fault.
His fault.
His fault.
"Baba...Don't...yell at monkey king."
His head jerks up to find that MK was conscious now, a hand reaches for his head and scratches the top of it like he's a monkey.
"MK…" Tang starts and is cut off by MK who shakes his head.
"Not his fault….he's so lonely." The by comments driving a knife between Monkey King's ribs and stabbing his heart. Those fingers continue to scratch the top of his head deliriously.
"You need to rest, bud. If you don't rest you won't get better." He instructs holding back something in his throat that he realizes is a pur.
"Mmmmkay. Do I look okay?" They asked and Wukong chuckled at the odd question.
"You look fine. Just rest please." He pleads and MK nods his head drearily before drifting back to sleep. Tang and he look at each other, bewildered by the experience. Tang studies him for a moment, eyes drifting over his form at MK's side with the boy's fingers still intertwined with the fur on the top of his head.
Tang must find what he's looking for because his shoulders relax slightly
"You may continue to train MK…." He holds up a finger. "On the condition that you are open and honest with him AND us about his training." He instructs and Wukong nods
"You also cut back to every other evening instead of every night after work. You're going to break him and wear him out. If in a week I decide that's still too much it gets cut back again. Understand?" Tang looks expectantly to Wukong who nods his head up and down quickly. These rules were more than fair, he could do that! Hell, he would tell MK himself of these new rules if he needed to.
The door clicks
"Tang the doctor said those vital signs were normal right now. I TOLD you this" Pigsy enters the room and looks at the display before him. Tang is sitting by MK's side, holding his hand and the window opens slightly.
"Why did you open the window?"
"I-it was a bit stuffy in here" Tang admits looking to where Wukong was just a few seconds ago and then to the window. He must have escaped quickly when he heard Pigsy enter the room. In the blink of an eye, he was gone.
Pigsy grumbles something and walks to the window and shuts it. Then he trudges over to his lover's wide and buries his face into it.
"He's gonna be okay…." Tang reassures and the pig demon who lets put a huff through his snout into their chest. Tang kisses the top of Pigsy's head affectionately and that causes them to melt on his hold.
They all were going to be okay.

Love, At First Sight
Warnings: some extreme fluff, strong language/ swearing
Pairing(s): Ransom x you
Summary: Love, at first sight, doesn’t exist. And Ransom has never been proven otherwise.
Word Count: 1600
I was inspired to write this after reading “It Was Only A Kiss” by the Queen of fluff, smut, angst and everything in between: @navybrat817  :)
(This GIF does not belong to me)
Tumblr media
Love at first sight.
That is the most ridiculous thing Ransom had ever heard. And he has heard some bullshit.
The only thing he could tell from looking at someone for the first time was whether they were of any use to him or not. So when Meg was rambling on about love, that too, at first sight, Ransom scoffed at the idea. He bit into his overpriced biscuit with a roll of his eyes, pausing the conversation that he was unwilling to entertain any longer.
“You know what Ransom, I’m not surprised you’re dismissing the idea without even hearing it,” Meg challenged.
“Oh yeah? And why’s that?” he retorted, a bit amused by her slight outburst.
“If your parents bothered with you, maybe you would understand what it’s like to be loved by someone.”
Although he didn’t show it, it struck a chord in him. It wasn’t something he dared to complain about anymore, but there was a time he would have done anything for their affection.
“Okay then, let’s hear this horseshit you’re spewing,” he replied, not breaking the façade of smugness.
“When you meet someone, your subconscious and unconscious mind pick up patterns in their behaviour, little mannerisms and anything it can get its hands on. Your conscious mind interprets that as vibes. So you get a bad vibe from someone, it’s ‘cause your mind recognizes it from somewhere else, someone you don’t like.”
“And what does this have to do with love at first sight?” Ransom impatiently tapped his foot.
“I have a theory that love, at first sight, is possible if you’re in tune with your intuition. You feel good vibes from someone, you ride with it. And there’s a possibility you’ll override the rational part of your brain that tells you that you can’t love someone right after meeting them,” she concluded. “But then again, this only works if you’re capable of loving someone. Otherwise, your brain has no one to reference,” she added.
Ransom’s jaw clenched before he took in a breath.
“Like I said. Just a bunch of horseshit,” he said, getting up to leave.
Tumblr media
He called it horseshit but he couldn’t stop thinking about it. It irked him that no matter how many girls he pulled, not one of them could make him feel the love had Meg described. He concluded that he was incapable of love because, of course,  that was the only plausible explanation.
It was a friend’s birthday. To say the least, he was not looking forward to it. He was in a rare mood to stay home and call it a night instead of getting his dick wet. Unfortunately, his presence was promised - he would rather not hear about this later so he did his future self a favour and got ready.
His black pants were paired with a maroon sweater that cost a little less than his king-sized bed. A rose-gold watch adorned his wrist and he threw on his signature tan coloured coat. He didn’t want to go but he that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t miss out on the opportunity to advertise his status.
Walking into the party, he regretted his decision to come at all. The corners were brimming with drunk people, though it had been only 1 hour since the party started. Shrill and irritating voices rung through the air. As usual, girls of no substance clung to every word of the fabricated tales boys told. Despite this, the unsavoury circumstances invited him, called his name even. After all, this was the lifestyle he lived for.
Taking in the scene before him, he strode down the room. His presence alone demanded respect and attention, both which he got a surplus of at these events.
His stride was abruptly halted when a figure crashed into him, spilling wine down his chest. Sure, it blended in with the sweater, but he was still pissed. Someone didn’t notice him, which caused them to bump into him and that rubbed him the wrong way.
“Won’t you look where your going, for god fucking sake this is worth more than you,” he snapped at the unsuspecting girl.
You had a mess of your own to take care of. Wine slipped down your dress, between your cleavage and onto your stomach. You were going to apologize but you heard his comment, paused your sentence to look up at him.
Laughter echoed in the background and people called Ransom’s name but it was long forgotten when he saw you.
Love, at first sight.
It didn’t seem so ridiculous anymore.
The mere sight of you was a harsh contrast to the cruel world he has dealt with his entire life. It was like the universe wrapped and presented you as the embodiment of a second chance for his life. To think that love, at first sight, was ridiculous.
Your beauty wasn’t something he understood. It wasn’t like the beauty he sought during the lonely hours of night, when he simply required a bedwarmer to ease the ache. It was memorable, almost like a blend of warm vibrancy; a feeling resembling that of the summer’s sun, kissed his skin ever so delicately.
He thought he was dying for a second. His hands were tingly and would not ease up no matter how much he clenched and unclenched them. His heart dove straight to his stomach, refusing to come up for air as long as he continued to look at you.
You on the other hand, you were conflicted. You were going to give him a piece of your mind for talking to you like that but one look at him and you wanted to run away. It was too intense for you.
His piercing stare mirrored the moon, melted and poured into the mould that he called eyes. His aura radiated coldness. Yet, you just knew that his hands would be as warm as a bonfire during a snowstorm. Being around him would be like the slight sting that you felt when winter’s breeze grazed your skin. That sting, no matter how painful, is rewarding when you consider his arms that would envelope you as a blanket.
Momentarily looking into each others eyes, both of you knew. You just knew. You were both thinking the same thing. It felt like eons had passed since the wine spill but logically, you knew it had only been seconds.
“Don’t talk to me like that” you finally blurted. No matter how enamored you were with him, you needed to knock him down a few pegs.
“I-I… I’m”
“You’re?” you raised an eyebrow at him.
“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to…” he stuttered. He felt like he would never recover from this embarrassment.
“I-uhm. It’s okay. I just…” you trailed off, realizing you weren’t even sure what to say.
“Can we get out of here?” he piped up.
It took you by surprise because you were thinking the same thing. You considered it too bold a thing to say but here he was.
You held his wrist and led him out. As soon as you marched out the door, he pulled his arm up, and you assumed he was going to take it out of your grasp. He surprised you though, instead, holding your hand.
Tumblr media
The dress and the sweater became irrelevant; all either of you could focus on was the warm grip you both had on each other’s hands as you strolled through the overly extravagant neighbourhood.
Part of your mind was screaming at yourself, as was his. He could kill you, you thought. Or do worse. And here you are, walking with a complete stranger through a neighbourhood you don’t even know.
“I thought you felt it too,” he confessed. “That’s why I... really, I don’t ever do this.”
The old Ransom would have said ‘I know you felt it too.’ It hadn’t been ten minutes since you met him and you were already changing him.
“I've never done this either. I mean frankly, you could be a murderer and here I am, holding you hand,” you joked.
“I’m not a murderer,” he chuckled, “But I can’t help but feel a little weird about this.” You looked up at the moon-less night, convinced that it wasn’t a coincidence.
“I know… I-... I don’t even know your name,” you giggled and his heart fluttered around his chest. He couldn’t compare the feeling to butterflies - it was more like hummingbirds, refusing to settle.
“I felt something and it’s weird ‘cause I was so scared. I was scared and overwhelmed by this sort of dread. Dread that was like, what if you didn’t feel the same way?” you rambled, only slightly cautiously. You knew nothing of this man, and you were laying out how you felt in the open?
“My name is Ransom,” he stopped the stroll and faced you, picking up your other arm.
“Y/N” you meekly responded, having difficulty meeting his eyes. You had never felt such a burn in your cheeks, yet right now, you felt like your face was on fire.
“Hey, hey” he softly tilted you chin up. “Can we run with this? Whatever this is?” He would get on his knees and plead if he had to. Because you were right; he felt like he would die if you didn’t feel the same way.
“Please. Let’s run with this. Whatever this is, let’s just run with it,” you agreed and nodded lightly, not breaking out of the stare.
“What is this?” he uttered under his breath and rested his forehead onto yours.
You closed your eyes and breathed in the same air as him. His warmth and scent reminded you of sugar cookies and pine trees.
He took in a breath and felt the aroma of vanilla and fresh roses evade his senses.
“I don’t know. But I like it,” you breathed.
He cupped your face and pulled away to look at your face again. He planted a delicate but firm kiss to your forehead as you encased his waist with your arms, naturally gravitating towards him. He tenderly held your face as he pulled away. One look and you were a goner, but now, you’re utterly floored by the mere thought of him.
Love, that too, at first sight.
Wasn’t horseshit after all.

Mass Fic Teaser post November
Here is my latest teaser post with extracts from Will of the gods, Breeding a human, Mans false gods, Hysteria and the stand in. I hope you all enjoy!
Warnings: dark fics, rpf, nedical play, swearing
Tumblr media
"My you are suffering arent you my little firey mortal~" he teased again trailing his fingers around avoiding where he knew you needed it.
"What have you done to me?! What have you done!" You sobbed panting and pliant. As much as you hated it, his light touches were the best thing you'd felt since this terribly feeling had taken over you.
"Cursed you." He said simply admitting to his deed.and then he did possibly the crulest thing he has ever done since his birth. He pulled away, leaving you wanting. Body almost convulsing with the trembling wanton shudders.
"Cursed?! What- thats insane I've been drugged, moved I have to get to the hospital- find out what youve slipped me!" You cried out to him frightened more then ever because you almost belived this deluded man and his tall tales.
"Its nothing more then lust. It will pass once you've been saited. Well for a time." He preened seeing the reality of your situation wash over you, he could hear it in your breaths. You were beginning to understand he was a god. A king and your undoing.
"Of course there is now only one thing that can do that now and thats me. I might lie with you now if you ask nicely, I might even forget what I have planned for you too." His teasing was designed to ignite you, to pull your anger and panic out, he wanted the two to mix and become something explosive that he could then smother himself with the rawness of it all..
"No way am i having sex with you you crazy cunt!"
"I want you to remember i did give you a chance to avoid this" came the ominous reply, amused words hid a vague threat. A fanged grin showing the true excitement the god had.
Tumblr media
"And like the perfect little female you are. You'll do a magnificent job in looking after our little homestead and bare me a child soon." He uttered quietly into your neck pressing soft kisses to your skin, his lips burning you with their chaste kisses. You could have wept, bawled your eyes out and begged himcto reconsider , plead with him to release you but it was too little too late. Kal was a god who felt he was owed payment, that saving the planet and protecting the human race meant he was entitled to keep one as a pet. Unfortunately you caught his eye and there was no escaping that all seeing gaze.
"Just think love, you'll spend all your time raceing around the place chaseing our precious little one" he spoke in deep growls, insanity just below the rambling madness. His chest heaved against you as hs own words worked him up. Shallow breaths warmed your skin making your neck damp as his hand slid you your hips tugging you slowly towards him rubbingnhis hardenong length against your tummy.
"They'll soon have playmates, our second, and third, and forth- as many as we can as quickly as we can!" He muttered closingnhis eyes as he let himself get swept away in the fantasy. Him returning home to a small battalion of dark haired blue eyed children. All various ages running and flying around the place playing with one another whilst you moved about the kitchen platingnup a fresh cooked meal. Ready for him to come home safe and sound.
Tumblr media
no please- daddy please! i dont need it-mama?! Help! Help mama daddy- please!" You cried fighting with all your might terrified of what was comjng! Diana helped move you sitting next to you as kal slumped you over his knee his own thighs trapping your kicking legs.
"Come on now it will be over soo quick pumpkin, so quick" you cried out trying to look back and see what was going on but a huge hand was holding your shoulders down. diana cooed at you petting your head softly watching the doctor just as closly as kal. You squirmed wailing hands tugging at diana who was doing her best to calm you.
"N-oo no dia-mama please-dont let them do this dont-im scared please i'll be good! I'll be good! I swear i'll never- never ever try to leave the house again, i swear im sorry- im sorry i was bad!" You shouted frantically diana moved ducking down to you placing her hands on your face making you look at her
"oh no no sweetheart this isnt becuase you were bad love~ mama and daddy just want to know your safe..." you swallowed sniffling up at her then jumped when you felt the small alchol swab over the lower curve of your bottom. You jerked trying to buck away, somehow in your mind it eas a good idea, if the doctor didntnget a clean shot then he couldnt stab you with the huge needle!
Tumblr media
"Your robe love? Or would you like some help finding it?" He purred scoffing, chuckling to himself as you melted, stumbling over your words. Sherlocks grin widened then with a sigh he sat up throwing his feet over the side of the bed before standing and dropped the sheet in favour of stretching.
"No-sherlock oh christ?!" You floundered as he stood and approached you with no shame. Not that there was any need for it because by god this man was immense in all aspects. You froze willing yourself to look away but just couldnt seem to pull your eyes away. His feet carried him down the side of the bed and he paused for a moment and then reached down plucking the heavy house coat from the floor and held it up.
"Turn" he said softly voice smug yet gentle. You didnt need to be told twice. You pivoted and shuddered as the house coat was placed on your shoulders sherlocks hands smoothing it over your shoulders and then rested on your biceps before tilting forwards and kissing your head.
"Now why dont we get up and have some lunch and then you can explore your nursery~" you frowed as he stepped away from you rounding you to a small wash basin and a cloth. Stepping upto it and dipping the rag into the water.
"Nursery? You have a nursery for the children already?" You pried dropping the blanket youd been trying to wrestle from him and quickly wrapped your house coat around you before sitting on the bed. Trying not to think of what he was washing from his privates whilst as he hissed from the cold water that had sat there all night.
Tumblr media
You sighed and snuggled closer to him curling into his side, tired but content. Grinning like a love sick fool when he rolled his shoulders and tugged you flush against him.
"Daddy? Babe why have you been holding out on me all night?" He teased sweetly nuzzling your neck nipping at it playfully.
"I didnt mean to call you that, it just happened?" You hummed shrinking into him feeling shy over the pet name youd cried when lost in the passion. You half expected hime to laugh at you.
"Well it can happen anyday~ fuck i cant belive i managed to snag myself a kinky little miss~ Any other kinks you want to share?" you just flushed pressing your face into him wanting to hide the stubborn blush as your unexplored kinks crossed your mind. Being a virgin left you with nothing but your imagination for sexual exploration and that meant fantasies and erotica. And erotica led to developing kinks~
"Theres more? Fuck me!" Henry exclaimed chuckling to himself smirking at the possibilities. All the kinks and fantasies youd want to explore, he could only hope you were open to a little roleplay~ because he himself couldnt help wanting to fuck you in character.
"...Give me a mineut love jeez" you replied making you both laugh. Henry placed a kiss to your damp shoulder.

A Life For A Life - Chapter 3
AO3 | First | Previous | Next | Masterpost
A/N: It took me a while to circle back to this one, but on the bright side, I’ve written ahead so the next two chapters or so should follow shortly after this one! :)
Prompt by @local-space-case: Prince Roman and his two loyal friends, Patton and Logan, are on the hunt for a dragon. Meanwhile, Dragonshifter!Janus  is just trying to find the right herbs to cure a sick/injured  Dragonshifter!Virgil. Bonus points for Anxciet and/or Protective Remus.
Word Count: 2006
Chapter warnings: Romantic relationships, Mentions of killing, Mentions of blood, Mentions of death/dying, Injuries, Poisoning (Let me know if you’d like me to add anything!)
---
    “By all standards, sire, I cannot recommend this course of action.” Logan stated, noting the frustration in the prince's eyes as he paced the cave's entrance. “There are far too many unknown variables involved here for me to conclude this is a safe course of action.”
    “We can't just leave now, Logan.” Roman growled through gritted teeth as he gestured to the dark opening into the earth. “The beast was ours to take.”
    “We are forbidden from entering the tunnels, my prince. They are far too dangerous.”
    Roman let out a groan, looking helplessly at Logan's stern expression. “This journey is meant to prove that I am worthy of ascending to the crown. What kind of king would I be if I turned tail and ran at the very first sign of trouble?”
    “A living one, Roman.” Logan sighed as gestured toward Roman. “This trial is not merely meant to challenge your physical strength but your wisdom as well. Your bravery is admirable, but your safety should be your first priority.”
    “You said yourself the beast is unlikely to keep moving for much longer.” Roman pleaded, moving towards Logan. “More than likely all we need to do is retrieve our trophy. I'd wager we'd be in and out in under an hour.”
    “I'm not so certain, your highness.” Logan whispered as he raised a finger to his jaw, pondering the situation. “Something has changed for the creature in the last stretch of the journey.”
    Roman paused. His gaze lingered on Logan for a moment before following the man's gaze to the trampled undergrowth leading to the cave. “What do you mean?”
    “At the last point where the creature has stopped to rest, blood had pooled on the ground.” Logan mused as he pointed to the trampled underbrush along their path. “I see no trace of blood here and I believe it is self-evident  it is unusual that the trail seemed to end there.”
    “How could that be?”
    “I am uncertain.” Logan let out a breath, straightening his glasses. “But to me, this indicates there is even more reason not to interfere with forces unknown.”
    Roman took in the look on Logan’s face for a moment before turning to the cave in frustration. “I know you’re right, but the beast cannot have healed itself. We may not know everything we are facing, but surely it is a simpler task than starting over.”
    “Your safety is paramount, Roman.” Logan's gaze dropped and he crossed his arm across his chest. “We have to act rationally.”
    “You have to be as disappointed as I am, Logan.” Roman interrupted with growing desperation. “Finding another feat to prove my worth could take weeks or months.”
    “I know.”
    “Logan—"
    “It is still preferable to witnessing your death, Prince Roman.”
     Roman paused. Logan's words felt ice-cold as the man’s empty stare remained trained on the ground.
    “I cannot lose you." Logan continued. His muscles went limp with surrender as his façade dropped. “That would be a far worse outcome than needing to remain patient for the right opportunity.”
    “Logan—” Roman dropped his voice to a whisper as he stepped toward the man. “—None of the feats that would satisfy the court of my competency are without risk.”
    “Everything we encounter above ground is a calculated risk,” Logan clung to his reasoning, even as it slipped through his fingers. “but the underground of the forest is home to the most dangerous creatures in the world. Magical creatures, Roman.”
    “Well, that’s why I have you, right?”
    Logan’s eyes tipped to meet Roman's soft smile and his resolution to stop the prince faltered.
    “If my strength fails, we still have your magic." Roman whispered with a smile. “Right. Lo?”
    Logan’s heart fluttered, weak to the adoring glimmer in Roman’s eye as the prince caught Logan’s waist.
   “I do believe it goes against the rules for me to help you accomplish your task.”
     “I'm not asking you to help me cheat,” Roman reassured him, raising a hand to Logan’s cheek. “but if events take a turn and I'm unable to complete my task, you can get us out safely. Right?”
     “You’re right. Strictly speaking, it is not against regulation for me to assist you in fleeing a failed task.”
     Roman let out a soft breath as Logan leaned into his hand. “Then what are we risking, aside from a chance for me to give you your ‘happily ever after' a bit sooner?”
    “Roman, your task is meant to be solitary.”
    “My task is meant to show that the country’s leadership is in capable hands.” Roman whispered bringing Logan’s knuckles to his lips. “You are my strength, Logan. I would have to be a fool to ignore that.”
    Logan felt a redness dust his cheeks as Roman’s fingers curled into his own.
   “You are my shining starlight and I am so deeply in love with you that the rest of the world looks dull in comparison.” Roman breathed as he admired the subtle beauty of Logan’s smile. “I want to shower you with affection from the moment you open your eyes until you fall asleep in my arms at night. Hiding behind formality—Not being allowed to court you until I finish this trial—It's tearing me apart.”
    “Roman, you are too good to me.” Logan whispered as the prince pressed a gentle kiss to his forehead.
     “I do believe we just covered that I am not able to be good enough to you.”
    Logan smiled at the prince’s chuckling. “That is not the issue. You are simply restricted by your position.”
   Roman smirked as he brushed Logan’s soft hair out of his eyes. “Does that mean you’ll allow me the opportunity to ease the burden of our restrictions?”
    “I'll follow you anywhere, Roman. If this is what you choose to do, you’ll have my support.”
    “Good,” Roman let out a breathy laugh as he peeked over Logan’s shoulder at Patton's exasperated expression. “I'd kiss you right now, but I do believe your brother may consider regicide if I do.”
    “No, my Cain instinct is much stronger than th—"
     “He wouldn’t—” Logan hissed, hushing Patton with a glare.
     Patton pursed his lips and stuck his tongue out at Logan.
     “Patton, I swear—”
     “Lo, relax.” Roman laughed, carefully catching Logan’s arm as he turned to scold Patton. “He's right. We have dragged him across half the countryside without considering his opinion.”
    “It is his job.”
    Roman grip on Logan’s softened as he glanced between Logan and Patton. “Job or not, Patton is more than an attendant. He's my future brother-in-law."
    Logan blinked at Roman before letting out a reluctant sigh and shifting his gaze to Patton.
    “You’re right.” Logan paused as Patton raised a skeptical eyebrow at him. “Patton, I’m sorry. This journey should have been a chance for you to know Roman outside of all the politics and I've been wasting that opportunity. Forgive me?”
     Patton smirked as Logan extended him a figurative olive branch. “Only if you accept that when I meet my future husband,  I get to be as disgustingly cute as you.”
    Logan couldn’t help but let out a sharp laugh and shaking his head. “Deal.”
    Instead of taking Logan’s hand Patton swept his older brother into a tight hug, squeezing around his waist. Logan relaxed as Patton hugged him tightly. His irritation melted away as his chest warmed  with the realization that he had the two people he loved most on either side of him.
    “Patton, this is going to be dangerous. If you want to wait for us here—”
    “Not a chance you’re leaving me behind now.” Patton whispered as he raised his head from Logan’s shoulder, covertly wiping away a tear that threatened to fall from his eye. “This is my last chance to torment you before I have to start calling you ‘your highness’. I have to make every minute count.”
    Logan smiled, glad to have Patton close as they started on the next leg of their journey. “You never have to change, Patton.”
    “Thanks, Lolo.”
    Roman smiled, stepping toward them as he gazed into the deep void of the cave opening. “Then, it's decided. The poison should be taking effect right about now. If we’re lucky, the beast will be dead by sundown and we'll be on out way home.”
---
    “Virgil!”
    Janus felt his heart drop as he stumbled to catch his lover’s arm. Virgil’s knees had buckled a half dozen times in the last hour and Janus was aching with the tension from the adrenaline pumping through his veins.
    “I don’t understand.  The bleeding’s stopped.” Janus let loose a string of draconic curses, feeling his scales burning with rage as he adjusted his arm to support Virgil. “Your condition should be improving—”
    Virgil’s lip curled in sympathy as he forced a raspy whisper past his aching throat. “Jan, you know why—”
    “Don’t speak.” Janus interrupted, immediately feeling regret twist in his stomach as Virgil’s grip tightened on his arm. His soft, fingertips felt cold on Janus' skin. “You need to save your energy.”
    “The game's up, Jan.” Virgil started forcefully, blinking up into Janus’ amber, slit-like eyes glowing faintly in the dark. “We got deeper into the mountain than I ever thought we would, but it’s time.”
    “Don’t you dare give up on m—”
    “I'm dying, Jan.” Virgil spat out, stopping Janus in his tracks. “I’m dying and I don't want to die running.”
    Janus felt a lump in his throat as his heart sank in his chest. “Virgil—”
    “If I’m not going to die in the open air, at least give me the dignity of dying in your arms.” Virgil pleaded, desperation clear in his voice. “Don’t let me die cold.”
    Janus head spun around as a loud, sound of rocks tumbling in the narrow twists of the caves behind them signaled their hunters closing in, a few minutes behind them at most.
    “Please, Jan.”
    The sound of Virgil’s broken voice made Janus weak. He couldn’t deny Virgil’s pleas, not when their last moments together may be approaching.
    “It's going to be okay, Virgil.”
    Janus' held Virgil close as his nostrils flared with a sudden heat. His lips curled into a snarl, face elongating into his more draconic features. His teeth hardened into sharpened points, stronger than steel. The bones of his ears stretched out over his shifting bones like webbing over a bat's wings. Finally, after a moment’s shift he could feel his wings extend behind him.
    The subtle stretch of his delicate wings gave him a momentary sense of relief as he curled his long tail around Virgil’s limp form. Though still in between his humanoid form and his true dragon form, he felt immediately more at ease with his body.
    “Hurry, please.”
    Virgil’s voice was barely audible over Janus breathing but he immediately locked on to  Virgil’s arm, covering his lover with his wing as a blazing, hot flame erupted from his throat. The bright light decorated the halls with moving flashes of orange and yellow dancing on the wall and when Janus finally pulled back a hot pile of glowing embers surrounded him and Virgil.
    “Virgil?” Janus whispered as he tipped his wing up to look down at Virgil.
    “It's perfect.”
    Janus bit back a sob as Virgil’s hand dropped from his chest.   He lowered them both to the ground, feeling his lover’s life leaving his body with each new breath. Orange light illuminated Janus’ face from the glowing embers below, dancing like gems in Janus’ glistening amber eyes.
    “I love you, Virgil.”
    “I love you to, Jan. You’re all I ever needed.”
    Janus’ tail curled around Virgil as he completed his transformation. His long talons dug into the ground as his body circled Virgil, creating a comfortable nest for his lover to rest in peace. He let out a long breath as he watched Virgil’s eyes close comfortably before his fully transformed dragon head turned toward the sound of the humans approaching.

*Malleus is a yandere in this piece.
Tumblr media
Your eyes searched for one among the crowd. One man. Hoping to meet summer green eyes and chocolate brown hair. Does he still have his braids on? Is his hair still long? Does he have a spouse now? Like you? Is he even here?
You doubt it. This isn’t something Leona would attend—willingly, anyway—but he said he invited the Kingscholars. Your husband had said so, which explains why you weren’t allowed to go anywhere alone in this party. You were glued to the king’s side, his hold on your waist was secure, tight enough to give you a constant reminder but not enough to raise suspicions as to how rough and possessive Malleus Draconia was of his queen.
For an instant, you thought you saw someone familiar drift through the crowded area, heading towards one of the doors, the doors that led to the outdoor garden. You would’ve convinced yourself that it was your eyes playing tricks on you but that person’s destination tells you otherwise.
Of course, he wouldn’t be the only one to want to go to a garden—out of this suffocating place—but you were too impatient to care. You wanted to see him.
Besides, who else would give up a chance to meet and talk to the king of the Valley of Thorns? Only he would. People were surrounding the two of you and it was uncomfortable, hearing loud chatters and high pitched laughs.
The king is in need of urgent businesses, you heard one of the guards muttered, and your heartbeat quickened at this information. Secretly hoping for his arm to drop and leave your side.
It did, and you immediately took off to find that person after making sure Malleus was out of the room. Lilia was busy with guests, too. You have no eyes on you currently, it was a relief.
Tumblr media
You hadn’t known how exhausted and out of breath you were until your footsteps halted, standing on healthy green grass instead of marble floors and having the evening breeze caress your skin. Your heart was hammering in its cage and you could feel how fast it was beating, how frantic it was. How your hands shook no matter how you try to calm them by clenching and unclench.
There was no one.
You were ready to head back but just a little more, just a little more of searching after all these years. After all that’s happened. You don’t need a conversation, you don’t need to reminisce, just one look, one look and you’ll be satisfied to know how he’s doing—
A surprised sound left you—it was ugly and embarrassing—as you instinctively stepped back, you could still feel the softness of— whatever it was that you stepped on just now.
What has gotten into you? You weren’t this clumsy before but you have been a mess ever since this day came.
“Tsk...getting forced to come to this stupid party and then having my tail stepped...what is wrong with today?”
Huh?
Clammy hands clenched the front of your dress, gaze slowly cast down, seeing a swishing tail and you followed them, seeing familiar Afterglow Savannah robes.
“Oi, woman. You’ve got some nerves stepping on my tail and not apologize.”
Isn’t this a little familiar?
You sucked in a deep breath, not realizing you were holding them in. Leona took it upon himself to step back a little after he stood to his full height, you’re a little close and you don’t look like you want to get away any time soon.
Weird. Leona thought. Have I met her?
Nonetheless, he was still annoyed at your behavior. Standing there doing nothing but gaping at him like he’s some—
“Leona.”
There was something about the way you called his name. Something that made him pause in his place, feeling something but never getting enough information on just what it is.
Your lips trembled and your head quickly bowed, refusing to stare any longer, couldn’t bear to stare any longer. Leona thinks you’re gripping the fabric of your dress a little too tight. Are you alright?
“I’m sorry for stepping on your tail.” The words were out quick but Leona never misses the shakiness in one’s voice, his hearing is exceptionally good, after all.
This doesn’t look normal. This whole situation doesn’t. Leona feels like he’s missing something but he doesn’t know what, and this feeling frustrates him to no end.
He scoffed. “You know me?” He was surprised that someone even knows his name. “Of course I know you.” You said it matter-of-factly, a little too quick.
Leona hummed, shifting his weight to one side as he rested his hand on hip, raising a brow at the lady before him, your eyes hesitantly came up to observe.
He was still the same. You wanted to smile but you probably shouldn’t. You kept them in and for a moment you two enjoyed the silence shared. Leona doesn’t know why he haven’t walked away.
He wants to ask something. Should he? It would be weird, wouldn’t it? No, who cares? He wants answers so he’ll get them.
“Have we—”
“My love.”
Leona growled at the interruption, by him, moreover. His eyes followed Malleus’ arm that snakes around your waist, pulling you close and sending a smile your way.
Malleus turn to face him and Leona could feel his eye twitch in annoyance, he wanted to not meet him, despite being in his territory, he just wants everything to get over with.
Suddenly he doesn’t feel the urge to ask you anything anymore.
“And what business do you have with my wife, Kingscholar?” Malleus emphasized the word, as if fearing his intimate actions towards you weren’t enough to show signs. Leona rolled his eyes.
“Nothing of your concern.” He retorted. Leona had to conceal his surprise at the news. As far as he knows, the Valley of Thorns doesn’t seem to fancy talking about their queen a lot—unlike Afterglow Savannah where both are mentioned and deeply respected.
He also heard rumors that the queen was once a magic-less human being forced turned fae, hence receiving disapproval. How absurd.
“I’m leaving. You’re ruining my mood.” Leona directed the words to his former schoolmate before casting one last glance at you. He walked away, you were silently pleading him not to.
The coast was clear. No one to bother, no one to eavesdrop, no one to interrupt.
“What do you think you’re doing?” Malleus questioned coldly, staring down onto your trembling form on the ground as tears flowed uncontrollably. It’s been a while since he’s seen you being this emotional. It ticked him off, knowing that another man was able to make you feel this much. “Get up, we still have guests to entertain.”
You didn’t move, so Malleus kneeled on one knee beside you, leaning close to your ear before whispering: “I hope you hadn’t forgotten what happened three years ago, and what I am capable of.”
That seems to do the trick, as you have stopped your childish tantrums and finally took his hand to stand back up. Malleus wiped the tears from your cheeks tenderly, his touch ever so cold to you.
“I will discipline you regarding your behavior later. Now, come. Do not make me use force.”

the king’s secret
dark!king!steve rogers x handmaiden!reader
warnings: +18, dark fic, dub con, unprotected sex, oral sex (m), fingering, breeding kink, degradation, sex with knight!bucky too, cheating, language, pussyspanking, spanking, forced breeding (kinda)
a/n: ty for 4.7k :’) here’s a lil something to show my appreciation and love <3
Tumblr media
“You say she’s in the kitchen, Barnes?” Steve questions Bucky, his loyal knight and close friend.
“Yes, my king. She wears a white gown and a gold necklace, her name is Y/n,” he answers.
Steve hums. “What can she do? Is she good to you?”.
“She’s very useful, and yes she is. Very good to me,” Bucky says in a low voice.
The sound of skin slapping and panting filled the garden, y/n clutches the grass as she gets pounded from behind.
Y/n looks over her shoulder and she sees the knight, shirtless with his head rolled back, holding up her gown. The moon shines on his sweaty body, his moans become louder and she feels cock twitch inside her.
”You want my seed in you, don’t you whore?” The knight questions, y/n doesn’t answer only whimpers as his fingers begin to you with her aching clit. His other hand smacks her ass, his metal hand. Y/n yelps, “yes, I want your seed in me”.
“Beg for it,” he demands. The knight begins to slam harder into y/n, she screams as he begins to rub her clit harder. “I want my womb filled, please fill me with your seed,” y/n screamed as she reached her peak. Her legs trembled and her body gave out. She laid out on the ground as Bucky filled her womb with his seed.
“She must be very good if she has you coming back to her,” Steve says. Barnes lets a small chuckle out. “She is. May I ask why you take such interest in her my king? It’s so sudden,” Barnes asks.
“I only ask because you seem happier, more satisfied. I’m happy for you,” Steve says.
Only lies. Steve knew about you and him before Bucky even mentioned it. He has eyes everywhere in the palace.
After the conversation, Steve sat in his throne thinking about his relationship with the queen.
The rumor is true. The queen cannot satisfy the king.
It’s sad, Steve lays in bed longing for sex and his own wife can’t fulfill it. But! His mind goes to the name Y/n from the kitchen, Bucky’s little whore. Or whatever you are to him.
Steve leaves the throne and makes his way to the kitchen, he enters. Chatter ends.
The women freeze and the tension rises, his eyes scan for a gold necklace and he finally finds it.
You’re kneading dough, his eyes meet yours and he examines your body. A nice face and backside.
“Are you Y/n?” He asks, with his eyes scanning your body. “Yes, my king. I’m Y/n,” you answer, leaving the bread all alone.
“Come with me,” the king says. You abandon the dough and you follow behind the king.
You follow him in silence as he takes you to an empty bedroom. He closes the doors and locks it. You begin to feel nervous and uneasy.
“Y/n, you are loyal to me, right? To your king?” The king asks and you nod. “You’d do anything for me, correct?” You nod again. “Good girl, get on your knees,” he demands. You drop to your knees and your mind goes to Bucky. Yo knight. This is betraying him, with his friend, the king.
He pulls down his pants and trousers, he begins to pump cock looking down at you.
“Please your king,” he says above you. You grip his cock and you begin to pump it with guilt. Your heart weighs heavy and your stomach feels sick. “Faster,” he demands. You go faster, twisting around his tip, you wrap your other hand around his shaft too.
Pre cum begins to drip from his tip and as you pump his cock, it covers it. You look up at Steve and his eyes are clouded with lust as he looks down at you, his lips part and he lets out a little moan. “You work so well with your hands, let’s see how your mouth feels,” the kings says. You take him in your mouth and his jerks forward, you were about to pull away but he takes your head down his length. He guides your head down and pulls you off.
“On the bed,” he demands. You stand up, Steve strips off his clothes and waits for you to do so. But you don’t. “My king, I have someone and I don’t know-”
“I know, Bucky, my best friend and bet knight. He’s told me all about you, his little plaything. He seems to take interest in you, and I can see why. You’re very beautiful and you have a great physique,” the king says, getting closer to you. You gulp, he gets close enough and pulls you to his erect member. You feel it throbbing through your gown. “But I am the king, and you listen to your king. Now, strip and get on the bed,” he sternly says, ghosting your lips.
You strip and you lay back on the bed. You close your eyes and you dream of Bucky. Your knight, in your heart. You’re not sure if he likes you or not but being with him, is different. The thought is interrupted by the king teasing your bud, he rubs it and gives it a harsh spank. You yelp and he spits on your core, the warm spit dripping down your core managed to turn you on. He pushes his fingers in you as he watches your face get lost in euphoria. “You have such a pretty pussy, you smell divine too. Barnes is a lucky man to have you at his service,” the king says. He pulls his fingers out and he licks off your juices, “you taste delicious too, holy fuck”.
He slides into you, filling you completely up. He’s longer than Bucky, and he’s stretching you so much. It almost hurts, you moan. “You like this don’t you? You like fucking the king? Tell me you like fucking me,” he says, sliding in and out you. He dips down and latches onto one of your nipples, he sucks and nip at it. “You fill me up so well, my king, please go faster,” you plead, holding onto him. He goes faster, and he begins to moan around your nipple. He pulls away and his mouth is wide open just like yours. Only silent screams fill the air, he groans. “You feel so good around me, I could just cum in you,” he says, going faster into your hole. You moan at his words. You can’t lie and say you’re not enjoying this. It’s wrong but he feels so good. What? No, no, no. He can’t cum in you. “Please, not in me my king, cum on me. I can’t-Bucky,” you plead. Steve only goes faster slamming into you, your head rolls back and your back arches and you come undone. “You’re going to take my cum and if you happen to get pregnant, we can make arrangements. But you are taking my cum, you’re gonna take it like the good whore you are, right? You’re my whore, my little whore,” he says, groaning as his cock spurts out cum.
He doesn’t pull out, he waits and makes sure he’s done.
You lay limp and in deep thought about the chances about you getting pregnant.
The king lays beside you, naked.
“If you tell Bucky, I’ll have him sent to battle. And you’ll never see him again, and you’ll have no one but me. Your king. You’re my little whore now,” he says. His words scare you.
He pulls you to him and he whispers into your ear “I think I might make you mine”. He kisses your temple and holds you close.
You’re now the king’s secret
again tysmm for 4.7k, love u all:’)

My Heart is Yours | F.W.
Tumblr media
Title: My Heart is Yours
Requested: Yes/No
Summary: For Valentine’s Day, Fred Weasley (with the help of half the Gryffindors) plans an over the top (but sweet) way to ask his best friend, Y/N L/N, to be his.
A/N: The title was given by @freddie1978
Fred’s POV
Today was the day, the day we have planned a whole week for. The day wherein I have asked the help of half the Gryffindors. The day I would ask my best friend, Y/N L/N to be my girlfriend.
All of us involved got up very early, to go through the entire plan before Y/N woke up.
“So, does that make everything clear?” I asked the group, all agreed.
Everyone then went on to do their respective tasks.
I sighed, sitting down as I placed my head in my hands.
“Hey.” George said, sitting beside me, “What’s the matter with you?” He asked, “You should be getting ready.”
I looked at him, “Who am I kidding George? She’ll obviously reject me.” I said, slumping back in my seat.
George had a worried look on his face, “Don’t tell me you’re backing out this now.”
I gulped, “I-I don’t know Georgie, what if I can’t do this after all.”
“You can do. Everything will go according to plan and she will say ‘yes’.” George said.
Ginny then appeared in front of us, “Nerves?” She asked, turning to my twin.
He nodded, “Yep.”
Ginny handed me a goblet, “Here, drink this.”
I looked at her skeptically, “What’s in this?”
She smiled, “Just plain old pumpkin juice with a drop or two of Felix Felicis.”
My eyes widened, “As in liquid luck?”
She nodded, “Yeah, figured you needed it.”
I immediately drank it, feeling a surge of confidence flow through my veins.
I turned to my twin, a huge smile making its way towards my lips, “Let’s get this party started.”
Reader’s POV
I woke up and went through my daily routine. Since I was a bit chilly, I threw on the nearest sweater I could get my hands on. I headed down to the common room, but strangely, it seemed like half of the Gryffindors where missing.
So, I decided to head down to the Great Hall, thinking that they were already having breakfast, considering what time it was.
When I arrived, only Ginny and Angelina were there.
I sat down in front of them, helping myself to some toast, “Where are the others?” I asked.
They shrugged, “Hermione, Ron and Harry are most probably in the library.” Ginny said.
I chuckled, “This early? Hermione is working the poor boys too much.”
“How about the twins and Lee?” I asked.
Angelina shrugged, “We haven’t seen them yet.”
“Why? You miss Freddie?” Ginny asked, nodding to the sweater I was wearing.
I gave her a confused look before looking down at the sweater, blushing as I saw the big F that was on the middle.
“Oh, come on.” Angelina teased as she saw me turn red, “Don’t even bother to deny it. We all know you like Fred.”
I blushed as red as Ginny’s hair, “Shh!” I shushed Angelina, who was now laughing along with Ginny.
After breakfast, I stood up, “I’m going to go find those three idiots.” I said, “Wanna come with?”
They both shook their head, “We’re going to play some Quidditch.” Ginny said, a mischievous glint present in her eyes.
“Okay then.” I said, heading to the library, in hopes that the Golden Trio would know the whereabouts of my best friends.
I almost ran into the three as they bolted out of the library, “Woah, woah. Slow down you three.”
They stopped in their tracks. “Oh, sorry Y/N.” Hermione apologized.
“Where are you three going in such a hurry?” I joked, “Are you in trouble again?”
Harry gave a small laugh, “Not today Y/N. Not today.”
Ron chuckled, “Besides, if there’s any one who is always in trouble, that would be my brothers.”
“Speaking of your brothers,” I said, suddenly remembering why I came to them in the first place, “Have you seen the twins? I have seen any sign of them today.”
The three of them exchange a look I couldn’t exactly read.
“We haven’t seen them since this morning.” Hermione said.
Harry took out something from his pocket, “But Fred did tell me to give this to you.” He said, handing me a rose that had a small note attached to it. Happy Valentines Day Princess! – Your favorite Weasley, Fred
I smiled, staring at the note at little bit longer, “I completely forgot that it was Valentine’s day today.”
The trio smiled before heading off. “Got to go Y/N!” Ron said.
“Good luck on looking for them!” Hermione said with a small wink.
I walked through the corridors, holding on to the rose dearly. And that was before I bumped into the Gryffindor Quidditch captain, Oliver Wood,
“Oh, hey Ollie!” I greeted as he smiled, “Have you by any chance seen the twins and Lee?”
He seemed to think about it for a moment, “I saw them this morning, I think they were running away from Snape. But aside from then, I haven’t.”
I thanked him but before I could head off, Oliver stopped me.
“But.” He started, “Fred did want me to give something to you.”
I looked at him, slightly confused, “Really?”
He nodded, taking out a chocolate box in the shape of a heart and handed it to me.
There was another note attached to it, Hey Beautiful! Hope you enjoy the chocolates. But believe me when I say that they’re nowhere as sweet as you. - Freddie
I felt another blush rise up to my cheeks, “Thanks Ollie!” I said as I ran off.
“I have a feeling you’ll love what Fred has in store for you.” Oliver called after me, shooting me a small smile.
I arrived at the seventh-floor corridor, just near the Room of Requirement. I saw George and Lee coming from the corner.
“Where have you two been?” I asked as I ran towards them, “I have been looking for you guys all morning!”
They gave identical smiles, “Nowhere in particular.”
George then gave a cheeky smile as he nodded to the sweater I was wearing, “Cold?”
“Oh, sod off!” I playfully scolded him, trying to hide the small smile that was growing on my lips.
“So, where is he?” I asked, looking around thinking that he’ll just jump out and scare me.
Lee smiled, “Well, about that Y/N. Freddie has asked us to give something to you.”
I giggled, “Again?” I asked, “What’s with him and having all these random gifts show up everywhere?”
Lee handed a little teddy bear that was sporting a scarlet and gold sweater and it also had a small locket on.
I gasped, “Oh my Merlin. This is so cute.”
I flipped open the locket and saw a little picture of Fred and I during our fourth year, we were both laughing like crazy after our prank on George and Lee had been successful.
“Can you two please tell me where in the world is Fred?” I pleaded, giving George and Lee my best puppy-dog eyes.
George chuckled, “Check the note.”
I opened up the note that was attached, Dear Y/N, you must be wondering why I’m giving you all these presents. Meet me at the Courtyard and you’ll find out. – Freddie ;)”
After giving George and Lee a quick “thank you” I was already dashing off to the courtyard.
When I arrived, I was Fred was there, with his back turned to me.
I approached him slowly, “You wanted to see me?”
He turned to look at me, a huge grin on his face, “Like my presents sweetheart?”
I smiled, the pet name making me weak in the knees, continuing to walk towards him.
“So, what’s with the gifts?” I asked, looking up into his gorgeous brown eyes.
“Well, it is Valentines day. And I thought that this year, we should do something different.” He said.
That’s because it was our tradition every year on Valentines the two of us would go on a “date as friends”.
“And I’m guessing that you have another surprise up your sleeve.” I said.
He smiled, taking my hand and pulling me closer to him, “Right as always sweetheart.”
As if on cue, fireworks started erupting, painting the sky with bright colors.
Later on, the fireworks then started to form the words, Be Mine?
I then turned to Fred, to see him kneeling on one on the ground, a small red box open in his hand and a ring can be seen inside.
“Y/N.” Fred started, a hint of nervousness in his voice, “I have known you ever since we sat at the same compartment on the train in first year. Ever since, I have continued to fall in love with you every single day. You are simply irresistible. You are so beautiful, so amazing, so brilliant, so smart. I want to be able to love you openly, I want to be able to cuddle with you in the common room. I want to kiss you; I want you to be mine. So, will you be my girlfriend?”
I nodded, tears starting to well up in my eyes. “Yes.”
He smiled slipping the ring on my finger, it had the words His Queen engraved on it.
He then held up his right hand, showing me a similar ring on his finger with the Her King engraved on it.
I smiled, pulling him down by the collar of his shirt and crashing our lips together. His hands went to the small of my back and pulled me closer to him.
The kiss was messy, but it was passionate. All the pent-up feelings that were kept over the years were poured into that kiss.
We pulled away, breathless, foreheads pressed together, eyes closed.
Then I whispered, “My heart is yours.”
We heard cheers as our friends celebrated from the sides.
I giggled and raised my hand with the ring on it.
Ginny ran forward and engulfed me in a hug.
“Fred.” She timidly said, “I may or may not have lied to you earlier.”
“About what?” He asked.
His sister smiled, “There was no Felix Felicis in your drink earlier. It was just plain pumpkin juice.”

Kravitz doesn’t remember much of the fight. His captain ordered them to stop this pirate ship from stealing tax money and when they boarded all he saw was a flash of red before he fell unconscious.
He always knew this day would come.
When he comes to he’s below deck. It’s clearly not his ship, what with the dusty corners and the bags of stolen loot. He’s tied up, his arms bound behind him, cuffs shackled to the wall. His crewmates and captain are in the same state, except they have burlap sacks over their head and are presumably still out cold.
He should be scared. He is scared, but he’s also… nervous. The sweaty anticipation of a fated meeting he hoped would never happen.
Clear as day, Taako sits across from him. Kravitz’s burlap sack is in his lap and his arms are crossed. He watches Kravitz with an unsure expression.
“Hey,” he says, quieter and shyer than Kravitz ever knew him to be. But Kravitz supposes he doesn’t know him anymore.
“Hi Taako,” he says, “Fancy seeing you here.”
Taako rolls his eyes, annoyance flashing across his features. “Don’t joke, not anymore. Besides, that’s my thing.”
Kravitz sighs. Yeah, guess he can’t act like no time has passed and no close calls were made. They’ve run so close to meeting each other, like ships and sirens. It was truly inevitable for this moment to happen in one way or another. “Always has been.”
Taako gets more annoyed, with a dash of frustration in there too. He snaps, “Stop it. Stop bringing up the past.”
“You’re the one who’s down here. You woke me up.”
“Because I can’t just let them kill you!” Taako hisses, leaning forward. For the first time in years, Kravitz gets to see raw emotion in those eyes. He’s sad; Kravitz’s heart aches to know that.
“So now what? I can’t expect you to let me go. You aren’t like that.”
Taako sighs, leaning back again. He pulls the edges of his robe around himself. That part’s new. A bright crimson, matching his tricorn hat. Flashy and bright, screaming pirate through and through. He scans Kravitz, dressed in the uniform issued to all of King Sterling’s soldiers. Kravitz can confidently say neither of them expected Fate to pull them so far apart.
“I’ll give you one chance,” Taako says, “Join us, and you’ll be free. I can maybe even convince them to let the rest of them go alive.”
Kravitz feels a crease forming between his brows as he sags against the wall he’s chained to. “I have a duty to Neverwinter. It’s my kingdom, I can’t just abandon it.”
“Kingdoms mean nothing. There’s no borders on this planet except for land and sea. Kings are just men trying to play God and rule part of the world,” Taako says. He surely regurgitated the wording from someone else, but his passion behind the message is clear. More himself, he asks, “How can you be okay living under that?”
Fuck. This is a lot for a guy who was just attacked and knocked out. Kravitz sighs, screwing his eyes shut and lowering his head. “I just am. I have to be, what other choice is there?”
“Come with me!” Taako all but begs. Kravitz hears him moving and his voice is closer as he says, “You don’t have to follow stupid rules, you don’t have to serve kings. …We can be together.”
That last part is quieter and it makes Kravitz open his eyes. Taako is on his hands and knees and his face is inches from Kravitz’s own. His face is stripped of any anger, only a desperate, pleading sadness Kravitz is pretty sure he’s never seen on Taako’s face.
“Just… stay,” Taako says, “Please.”
And that breaks the dam. Taako never uses his manners. He’s a goddamn pirate! This has to be serious. Without thinking, Kravitz leans forward and closes the distance between them as he captures Taako’s lips in a kiss.
Taako reciprocates immediately, not caring that his hat falls off in the process. His hands come up to cradle Kravitz’s face as he slides closer on his knees. They spend a few moments down there, in the underbelly of a dark dirty ship while surrounded by unconscious soldiers, kissing each other’s brains out. It’s a broken sort of perfect. A forlorn sort of hope.
When they pull away, Kravitz has tears streaming down his face and Taako’s eyes are wet. Taako swipes the pad of his thumbs over Kravitz’s cheek and wordlessly presses their foreheads together, sighing deeply. Kravitz wishes on every star in the sky for something to miraculously break his shackles just so he can pull Taako into a hug.
Then there’s a whistle, coming from somewhere above the deck. Both of them flinch and jolt away, looking in the direction of the closed trapdoor out of here.
Taako slowly retreats, his warm hands leaving Kravitz cold as he reaches for his hat and puts it back on. He stands and starts to make his way to the ladder out. Before he starts climbing, he turns back and says, “We’ll talk later.”
And then he’s gone.

warnings for distorted familiar terms between the Valar (ie, Oromë calling Tulkas his brother, etc), Melkor being himself
this is not a typical piece for me! Yes, it does involve Melkor being creepy but it’s not about Maedhros and it’s well before he was even born!
this is my interpretation of this scene!! Because I’ve been utterly obsessed with it. How far would Manwë have let Melkor go? Where would he have drawn the line? How far would Tulkas have played along if Melkor hadn’t angered him so much by insulting Manwë? How would the other Valar react?
I haven’t been able to decide on answers to these questions but hopefully this will be the start of something more!
masterlist
as this is a rare non Maedhros piece I wasn’t sure if I should tag the people I usually do?
“Patience, my friend.” Aulë tried and failed to hide a smile as Tulkas pounded a fist against the gate and drew back for a second. There too in his eyes was a glint of anticipation.
“No blame I hold the both of you in for desiring hasty action!” Manwë says, “But to do battle here with Melko would only damage this land further. We must attempt first to speak with him. Use guile if we must.” Aulë didn’t argue though neither did he attempt to soothe those of his kin who appeared dissatisfied with this. Oromë approached his king, shaking his head.
“I second Tulukhastāz” he says stoutly, “The time has gone beyond words for the words of Melko shall give us nought but deceit.”
Manwë stood lost in thought as a pillar crumbled by Tulkas’s touch. He did not shy away from Oromë’s anger.
“Deceit, I believe you right. But should we encroach by force now will he not merely flee? We know of the many tunnels he has constructed beneath.”
Manwë then called out to Melkor and reluctantly Tulkas stopped kicking at the pieces of the pillar. Oromë had never before seen his brother so agitated.
“Let the demon flee,” he says coldly, “I shall hunt him as I do any other monster.” The words were bold even from him but the king did not appear ruffled.
“Arômêz,” he merely says gently, “We do not want him to flee. We need him constrained.”
“Aye,” Aulë says and gestures to the Maiar who have accompanied them to hold the great chain, “Tis a waste to use such a force.” Oromë gave a low chuckle and Manwë looked for a moment as though he would say something but then fell silent. There is an unease through the host at the distinct lack of sounds from within. Tulkas is closest to the gates and spots the messenger first. He grabs Oromë’s arm even as he gestures to his king
“My lord!” He calls and Manwë turns.
“Lord Melko is pleased to know the Gods have found his abode,” speaks the oily voice of the servant, Langon.
“He should gladly entertain you,” the servant says with the faintest trace of a sneer, “But he finds himself far too busy to keep His abode in fit state for such venerable guests. Should two enter he shall speak with thee. But! Neither Mânawenûz nor Tulukhastāz should enter. That is his word.”
Tulkas felt a flash of anger at this. He was hardly surprised that coward would refuse him entry but the nerve of him to refuse Lord Manwë when the king was the only one who fought to end this peacefully for both sides?
“Melko’s fear of you, My Lord and of Tulukastāz? Could we not use this to our advantage? He clearly wants you not in his halls. Should we enter peacefully with you an upper hand might be ours.” Aulë suggests.
Manwë seems to fade away as he thinks. But his voice is perfectly level. “Yes,” he says slowly, “Yes, you are right. Loath am I to employ deceit in turn, let alone against one who has so mastered it, a ruse is perhaps our only chance.” He beckons to his servant and dictates a letter.
"A message from Mânawenûz ! The Valar have come to ask the forgiveness of thee for they have known thy fury and seek to amend what they have done in their foolishness and haste. In Valinor we have asked what best way to amend and alas! Without Lord Melko himself among us we might not right our wrongs against him! For he is the greatest among us and surely Valinor suffers for his absence! In truth, Tulkas  would not assent but I, Manwë ordered him constrained with violence so we might come to thee now and plead for thy pardon!"
They do not speak as they await the return of the servant. Oromë sends Nahar off into the woods and Tulkas stacks rocks. But they do not have to wait in the uncomfortable silence for long.
The answer returned is hasty and Manwë practically feels the excitement that exudes from the material. Whether or not he had bought the ruse, the offer of the chance to humiliate them had been enough to persuade him. He then sees the conditions that Melkor has laid out and turns to his kin, handing it first to Ulmo simply as he stood closest. Manwë watched the atmosphere become more and more agitated as they took in the response.
"You are agreeing to this?!" Oromë snapped, “You wish for my brother to what…?”
“Enter in chains,” Ulmo says bluntly as Manwë silently rereads the response from Melkor. He’s gone through it several times already but looks as focused as the first, as though this time he is sure he will spot some new, secret information to aid them.
“Tis not a terrible plan,” Aulë says slowly, “Indeed I could not devise on such short notice another way to ensure that Angaino is brought in without arising suspicion at once.”
“And what precisely is Melko to do with him?!” Oromë said angrily. Tulkas looked uncharacteristically quiet.
“A3ûlêz is right. We must bring Angaino and we will have no other weapons! If Lord Manwë agrees I shall go as described. Fear not, brother. Melko shall have neither chance nor allowance to do harm to me. A blow or two will do me no injury.”
Oromë does not appear satisfied at this. Nessa sways on her feet, looking from one to the other.
“Is it merely that which he wants?” she asks softly, “To strike you? Tis far too close to equal retribution for his taste.”
“We will not find out what he wants but should he speak it,” Aulë says firmly, “We shall not allow him to act upon it.” Manwë looks troubled.
“Constrained with violence,” repeats Ulmo, “A3ûlêz, do you require my aid in this?”
“In what?” Nessa and Aulë speak at the same time.
“Melko will not believe we have constrained Tulukastāz by words alone,” the Lord of Waters says. Tulkas nods in agreement.
“If I did not know better I would proclaim thee far too eager to land blows to me,” Tulkas makes a brave attempt at a smile. Ulmo’s expression softens for but a moment as Aulë has his Maiar bring forth the great chain.
Nessa shakes her head, every bit of her seeming to burst with restless energy so her very form flashes.
“I am sorry, brother,” Aulë mutters as the others cast their weapons aside.
“Bold of thee to presume that thy beating shall cause me any pain,” Tulkas teases lightly as he holds out his arms. Aulë clapped his shoulder in approval. “Good.”
 Manwë watches with distant eyes as the youngest of their kin is struck several times. He falls to his knees though only because he allows himself to. Aulë tightens the chains around his arms and neck so his tunic is torn in many places. The lord of the forges murmurs an apology and receives a small but sincere laugh.
“Should I care more for my clothing than the prospect of a peaceful land for the Children, I would not have come with thee.”
(an important note is that not only did  Manwë agree to this in the text but it was his idea for Tulkas to be given to “Melko’s power and pleasure”. I have to admit this almost coolly pragmatic side of Manwë is utterly fascinating to me, this Manwë who might not understand the depths of evil but knows enough to exploit his brother’s sadism in such a way. And I want so badly to know how far it would have gone had Melkor not made Tulkas angry enough with his insult to Manwë. Can you all just imagine, the other Valar having to watch as Tulkas is what....tortured? Humiliated? We can only speculate what “Melko’s power and pleasure” entails. And they have to pretend they were in favor of this? Sneaking glimpses at Manwë to try and discern where he might draw the line? ahhhh way too many thoughts....)

Otherworldly Kings and Queens (4/?)
Pairing: Peter Pevensie x Female!Reader  / Prince Caspian x Female!Reader
Warnings: mentiones of violence, mentions of death
Word Count: 2.4k
Part Summary: As the group arrives at Aslan’s How, it’s evident that Caspian and Peter won’t exactly see eye-to-eye. When Peter
Masterlist
Tumblr media
Arriving at Aslan’s How is truly like something out of a picture book. We stop just before the archway. I stand beside Peter, observing him as he watches the scene unfold before him. Centaurs line the path and draw their swords in honor of the Pevensies, their Kings and Queens of Narnia. Peter appears unfazed, as though this is normal life. Then I realize, this is normal to him. He starts to walk along with his siblings. When he comprehends that I’ve stayed put, he turns to me in confusion. I release his hand and urge him to go out with a nod of my head. I’m not a Queen of Narnia. An unfamiliar expression crosses his face before he snaps out of it and hurries to rejoin his siblings. I glance over Caspian and his head falls as the siblings walk ahead.
“Don’t worry, you’re needed here too,” I assure him quietly.
His eyes meet mine and I offer him a soft smile. After all, if it weren’t for him, the Pevensies would’ve never made it back here. I can tell he’s unsure of himself, worried about all of the pressure on him. Caspian and the Pevensies are supposed to lead a revolution. I can’t help but wonder if it’s truly feasible. We’re just a couple of kids.
I nod my head toward the How and the two of us start walking together with Trumpkin following along.
After a tour of the hideout and Caspian showing us the shrine to Aslan, there’s a war meeting. Peter and Caspian are butting heads, not much of a surprise there. The presence of a power struggle between the two leaders is evident as day. Caspian believes we should wait for the Telmarines to make the first move. Peter thinks it’s best if we attack first with the element of surprise.
I sit with my knees close to my chest against a pillar with Ed. I rest my head on his shoulder, growing tired of this back and forth tennis match between royals. Plus, I haven’t slept in two days.
“If we dig in, we can hold them off indefinitely,” Susan sides with Caspian.
“But if they’re smart, they could starve us out,” Edmund voices.
Centaurs give their unwavering support if Peter does decide to lead a raid. They guarantee that they will fight to the death. I shake my head, earning the attention of Edmund who feels the motion against his shoulder. He can likely predict what I’m thinking. Brotherly, he places his hand over mine, rubbing his thumb over my skin gently.
“That’s what I’m worried about,” Lucy interjects under her breath.
Peter turns to her, “I’m sorry?”
“Well, you’re all acting like there are only two options, dying here or dying there.”
Again, Lucy is the youngest, but still the wisest. I’m on team Lucy.
“I’m not sure you’ve been listening Lu,” Peter dismisses, much to my frustration.
“No, you’re not listening,” she fires back uncharacteristically. “Or have you forgotten who really defeated the White Witch?”
Lucy has a point there. I raise my brows, suppressing a smirk. Out of my peripheral vision I see Edmund checking for my reaction. I glance at the youngest boy.
“You should say something,” he advice.
I shake my head, denying the chance. There’s no way am I doing that.
“I believe we’ve waited for Aslan long enough,” Peter states to his sister.
What happened to the Peter who spoke so highly of the Guardian of Narnia? He praised Aslan and now he’s losing faith in him.
“Y/N, what do you think?”
I’m pulled from my train of thought upon hearing Peter saying my name. I scan the room and everyone’s eyes are on me, even the squirrels.
“Me?” I laugh nervously, rising to my feet. “I’m not sure I’m the best person to talk to.”
“But you are the fairest,” Susan compliments.
“Definitely the most patient,” Edmund adds by my feet.
Rubbing my hands together anxiously, I steadily approach Peter. I know what he wants me to say, he wants my support. I do support Peter as an individual, no matter what, but I can’t condone war. He likely knows what I’m going to say, he knew when he asked for my opinion. Yet, he asked for it anyway, perhaps out of hope that I’ve had a change of heart in the circumstance.
The room falls silent as Peter and I study each other’s face, silently pleading with the other to comply.
“You know I don’t believe violence is ever the answer,” I reason with him calmly.
“But we’re at war!” He fusses, pacing away from me in frustration.
I scoff, pausing to processes his words. He can’t be serious right now? After the last three years, he doesn’t think I’m well acquainted with what war means?
I lose my temper. “You don’t think I know that?!”
Peter whips his head around furiously and murmurs erupt amongst the Narnians. I’ve just yelled at their High King.
“We’ve been at war in our world for years now!” I shout at ‘King Peter,’ more like self-righteous Peter. “I know war! I understand war! What I don’t understand is creating more damage than necessary! Miraz is your problem? Target him! Attack him, not the entire palace where innocent lives could be taken!”
Peter pants, his red with anger as he restrains himself from yelling. Peter and I have only argued like this perhaps twice in our lives. Even in those instances, the reasons were never as imperative as this one. We argued about childish things, jealousy, and sharing. Now, we’re arguing about war and the priority of life. I’m only a teenager, these are conversations for adults.
I shake my head and my face falls in disappointment as I continue to look at my best friend. His eyes shift from expressing overpowering aggravation to guilt. Silently, I rush to the hall leading to the rest of the hideout. Peter reaches for me as I pass him, but I slip my wrist from his grip.
“Y/N!” Peter calls pleadingly to which I ignore.
I won’t participate in this discussion further. Peter and everyone else knows where I stand now, no need to stick around.
____________________________________________
The sunsets over Aslan’s How and soon the starry sky hangs overhead. I’ve been hiding on top of the How on the patches of grass since the meeting. At first, I was fuming. Peter isn’t being reasonable! He’s trying to prove himself to the Narnians and Caspian that he’s still this great king from before. I can tell he’s guilt-ridden because of his accidental return to our world, all of the Pevensies are.
“Why are you awake so late?”
A voice pulls me from my train of thought. Caspian strolls over to me and sits down on the grass next to me, resting against the rocks of the fortress.
“I can’t sleep,” I mumble as I play with a blade of grass. “I haven’t been able to.”
“I can assure you you’re safe here,” Caspian smiles faintly.
It’s not that I feel unsafe here per se. It’s my mind, it won’t stop wondering. Whenever I close my eyes, I’m afraid of what I’ll dream of.
“I don’t doubt it. I just...” I release a deep sigh, looking out over the field ahead. “It’s all just overwhelming.”
One minute, I’m on my way to school as I do each day, nothing exciting there. Then the next, I’m in some foreign land surrounded by mythical creatures who I was led to believe only existed in fantasy novels.
I turn my head to Caspian, admiring his side profile. “What keeps you up?” I ask him quietly.
He shifts, relaxing more into his position, and turns his head to meet my gaze. His jet black eyes that match his hair glisten under the stars. Little specks of white glimmer in them like stars.
“I uh... “ he swallows hard, his eyes flickering to the bit of ground between us. “Whenever I close my eyes I see my uncle’s face. When I try to sleep, I...”
I place my hand over him without a second thought. His sight returns to mine with a hint of surprise. Yet, he still appears troubled. I offer him a comforting smile, hoping it will grant him peace of mind.
“Nightmares are perfectly normal, Caspian.”
He nods, coming to terms with it. “Would you mind if I stay here with you for a little while?”
My smile grows and ease of relief across his features. “Not at all.”
______________________________________
Chatter, the sound of pounding metal, and birds chirping increase at a rapid rate. I shift a little, groaning at the sudden surge of disturbing sound. I can see light behind my closed eyes, so I hide my eyes in my hands. Utterly exhausted, I grant myself five more minutes. I moan, stretching out slightly to get comfortable again. I feel a weight on my waist and it tightens around me. Then, I feel something against my back and hear a deep sigh as warm breath brushes against my shoulder. I relax, a faint smile appearing across my lips.
Similar to a blast, I fly up from my laid position. My eyes adjust to the bright light of day slowly and I frantically search the area around me. Caspian awakes beside me in a panic due to my sudden surge of movement. Oh no, this is not good!
“Oh no, by all means, don’t scurry on my account” Trumpkin makes himself known a few feet away. “I was just about to throw up!”
i growl at the dwarf and rise from the ground. “Must you be so crude?”
Brushing down my dress, I march off to the path leading down to the How’s entrance. I hear Caspian chase after me.
“Y/N wait!” He calls.
Ignoring him, I continue my hurried pace down to the ground.  Peter is likely having a fit wondering where I am. Falling asleep with Caspian on top of the How was not on my to-do list.
Right as I reach the stone path leading into the alcove, Caspian grabs my wrist. “Do you think we can train together today?”
I laugh, does he think me to be Joan of Arc? I’ve never fought a day in my life!
“Me? Train with you? I’m no soldier, I would ask Edmund or Peter. They’re far better than me,” I suggest as I start to walk away.
The Prince jogs ahead and blocks my path, placing his hand gently on my arm. “Well maybe so, but then we can learn together.”
Peter wouldn’t like it, that much I know for sure. He hardly let me borrow Edmund’s Katana. Since then, I’ve never actually used it. I drew it in the woods when Caspian and Peter were fighting, but I don’t know the first thing about defending myself.
“Alright,” I comply, much to Caspian’s pleasure. Perhaps it is to my benefit to training. After all, I suppose there will be a battle eventually, though I’ll do everything I can to stop it. “But I don’t think we should do it here,” I add.
He frowns, “why not?”
I raise my brows at the boy. “Have you met Peter?”
He snickers, understanding my point. “Okay, maybe you’re right. We could try by the river!”
“Alright,” I nod. “We should go now.”
I cautiously check around us to make sure no one overheard before heading inside. Other than a few Narnians transporting supplies and weaponry, we’re in the clear. As long as none of the Pevensies find out, especially Peter, Caspian and I should be okay.
__________________________________
Caspian and I have been training all afternoon by the river. I’m actually better than I thought I’d be. Once Caspian taught me some basic motions, I learned I could build off of them. At first, he was going easy on me, changing positions slower than he really would in a fight. As I started to get used to having a weapon in my hand, I could imagine it as an extension of my arm like Caspian instructed. Soon, I was putting up a real fight against Caspian. I spin and swing my sword to meet his blade at an angle.
Face to face, Caspian laughs breathlessly. “And you swear you’ve never used a sword!”
“No, we don’t exactly need them in Finchley,” I snicker.
“What is your world like?” He asks as he changes our position and nearly knocks my katana from my hands.
“It’s not necessarily exciting,” I grunt as I drop to a squat to sweep his legs.
He jumps to dodge the move, landing on his feet perfectly. “Tell me about it. What do you like to do there?”
I snicker, stepping to the side to swing my blade down onto his shoulder. “Are you wanting to know more about my world or more about me?”
Caspian takes advantage of my uneven stance and grabs my arm. Swiftly he spins me around and yanks me into his chest. I accidentally drop my sword and his hand wraps around my neck.
“You,” he whispers in my ear.
I swallow hard, glancing down at my katana laying in the plush grass just a few feet away. Keeping the status quo, I play along. “I like the ocean, but your’s here is far prettier,” I distract him. “When I was younger, my father used to take my family sailing on holiday... but that was years ago.”
His grasp around my neck eases up slightly and I take the chance to slip from his hold. I fall to my knees and reach for my Katana. I grip it’s handled right as Caspian rolls me over onto my back and climbs on top of me. He pins my wrists above my head.
“Why did you stop going?” He pants, referring to my story.
“The war,” I answer softly, my breathing uneven. “He died in a battle in France.”
His face falters sorrowly and his pressure on my wrists subsides. “I’m sorry to hear that.”
“It’s alright,” I mutter, not seeking his sympathy. “But now you understand why I don’t believe in war.”
“I lost my father many years ago too,” he confesses.
The despair in his eyes nearly breaks my strong facade. No one should have to lose a parent, especially at a young age. Losing a father leaves a greater hole in one’s heart than most can predict. There are far more long-lasting effects deeply rooted in the experience than meets the eye. I’ve put on a strong face for my family and friends for so long that I’ve grown used to it. None of them understand. Yet here, I’m faced with someone who does.
“Then you truly understand.”
My words release in a whisper, the relief evident in my voice. Caspian nods gently, then his eyes flicker down at my lips. I bite down on the lower, tempted. No, I can’t do it. Peter’s face flashes across my mind. Yet, I can’t deny the alluring feel I have in Caspian's presence. At this moment it’s never been stronger. Caspian leans down, hovering over my face closer than before. My eyes uncontrollably fall to his parted lips. If he kissed me, I wouldn’t deny him. In fact, I find myself wishing he would. My eyes fall shut and his lips brush against mine.
“Y/N!” Peter’s voice booms over the otherwise peaceful wood.

You bustle around the cottage sweeping cat hair and dust, mixing the white of the chalk dust with the crimson blood of Grandmother’s sacrificial cat.
Your attempts to tidy the space is wasted as you’re only making it worse, but rather than focus on her words you prefer to clean.
She watches you from the seat at her table where you placed her. A cup of water gripped in her withered hand, still trembling slightly.
“Stop cleaning, girl!” Grandmother chides, watching you with annoyance as you stop amongst the mess on her floor and throw your hands out to your sides in a clear indication of not understanding.
“What would you have me do?” You ask her, voice tight with distress. “You tell me that my husband will fight to his death and I am supposed to what? Dance?”
“Just sit down.” She points at the seat across from her, her finger crooked and weak.
You drop the broom where you stand and plop yourself down on the indicated seat while ignoring the creak of the weathered wood. The old woman would resist new furnishings though you’d managed to sneak in a new bed and kitchenware.
“You killed your cat.” You tell her, as if she doesn’t know.
“Yes.” She agrees and lifts the small cup to her lips to take a drink.
“Why?”
“I had to see.” She explains. “Something was…was there.”
“When I found you outside Steve’s office?” You check, though you know her answer.
“Yes.” With a sigh she captures your gaze and does not release it. “I have sensed a darkness growing in the world. Something elusive. Hidden. It has kept its face secret, behind that of puppets. It uses others to do its bidding and until today I had no idea what that bidding was.
“He is gathering six relics. Stones. Rich in magic properties. Richer than any other relics I have ever come across. Each of them with powers more terrifying than the last.”
“What kind of powers?” You ask her, voice feeble and wispy.
“Powers to control time. Power to manipulate the mind and the very fabric of space and reality.” She warns. “Powers to rule the world…or wipe it from existence.”
Your heart grows cold, slipping into the pit of your stomach as you picture Steve in his armor standing before such massive power. What could your warrior husband do in the face of such might?
“Who is he?” You ask her, eager to put a face to the threat.
“I don’t know.” She says, looking down at the necklace that always rests around your neck. The locket that is Steve’s insignia, with his picture along with your parents. “I cannot see his face. I can only feel him. He is stronger than the king. Stronger than many of those who fight here. Together they may defeat him, but I did not see them together. I saw only your husband, the bodies of those you love surrounded him, and he fell too.”
You get up, unwilling to let her convince you despite you having already accepted her words. “I cannot listen to this.”
“You must, girl. You must take heed of what I tell you and prepare yourself for what is to come. Take your daughter and go as far away from here as possible but even that may not save you.” She adds as an afterthought. “I feel this evil plans for more than death. He has such a will.”
Turning to her you consider her thoughtful expression and the way she seems lost to her vision. She believes it with every fiber of her being and your own heart is swayed into panic as you throw yourself onto your knees at her feet.
Gripping the hand she has resting on her lap, you raise it to your breast and hold it there to where your heart is pounding.
“There must be something you can do. Something that will save him.” You reason, pleading for her to see reason as if she held the very fate of Steve within her old hands. “Won’t you try?”
“I cannot.” She shakes her head. “Such magics are forbidden. I am no dark witch.”
Her insistence is fractured, her own eyes betray her as she eyes you up and then turns away.
Her fondness is clear. You know that she loves you despite the way she speaks to you at times. She has fought hard for your happiness. If you would beg for her life, you think she might give it up.
“Is there no way? Nothing? Surely there is a chance to change things without resorting to dark magics? Please, Grandmother…” Before you know what’s happening, you’re crying.
Tears flow freely across your cheeks but your voice is strong in the only way that it can be when you’re pleading for your husband’s life.
“I cannot live in a world where my husband is not alive. Please…help me. Help me save him. There must be a way. There must be…please. We just had our daughter…” You lay your head in her lap, overcome with fear at this future she’s seen. “Please.”
Her silence is heavy. You can feel her thinking, can feel her mind searching for a way to give you what you want.
You have always loved this old woman but until today, you had not considered how much she might truly love you as one would a true granddaughter.
“Give me time.” She sighs.
“You’ll try?!” You gasp, your heart soaring.
With an elated sob you drop your head onto her lap and with gentle, feeble hands, she strokes the back of your head.
“I will think on it. I will try. I cannot make any promises.” She warns you, reaching under your chin to draw your gaze up. “What you ask for will not be easy. Is he worth it?”
You blink, confused by her question because in your mind there is absolutely no doubt.
“He’s worth more. He’s worth everything.” You nod. “I love him.”
Grandmother’s gaze withers and she releases you, nudging you away.
“Go. Be with your husband and child. Let me ponder.” She orders and slowly you rise.
You’re so stunned you have to keep a hand on the table as you rise to keep your knees buckling.
“When will you know?” You ask her, sniffling from the tears you shed.
“Go.” She orders again, staring at the hem of your dress. “And change your dress. You’re covered in blood.”
~~~~~~~~~~
Standing still, you hold tight to the lower left post of your bed as your corset is laced again.
The copper tub by the roaring fire in your bedroom sits lukewarm, full pink and wine-colored peony blooms floating within its oiled surface.
“Why was there blood on your dress?” Natasha wonders, tugging tight on your laces making you gasp.
“It’s not important.” You tell her, then think better of keeping her completely in the dark. “There was a dead cat on the way to Grandmother’s and I didn’t realize it until I came upon it.”
Fuck, was that believable? Does she trust you enough to accept your words without doubt?
“You’re keeping something from me.” She counters, frowning as she ties the corset closed.
Apparently not.
“I’m not.” You argue, but after her silence pierces your soul, you sigh. “I’m worried.”
“About Hydra?” She asks, supplying you with an appropriate alternative to the truth.
“Of course.” You grasp onto this straw and lean your stress onto this very real threat. “The last time I was within their vicinity someone tried to kill me and Maggie.”
“That won’t happen again.” Natasha assures you, moving towards you with a long ivory gown. The slightly yellowish tinge to the flowing fabric is pretty, though you note this in the back of your head. You’re too preoccupied with the threats looming overhead to notice how pretty the dress is. “I should have stayed with you.”
“It wasn’t your fault Nat. Pierce knew what he was doing. He’d been to father’s many times and he knew that I’d be in that part of the castle. He knew that you’d all be focused elsewhere. He was going to find a way to me one way or another.” You reason, but you know that if Peter or Nat had been there with you, there would have been a better chance of getting away with greater speed.
“I will never leave your side again.” Nat declares passionately but you huff a laugh and turn to look at her as she gathers up the skirt of your dress, hooking her arms through it to make ready for you to wear.
“Nat,” You smile. “I love you, and maybe you’re right and things would have been better if you or someone else had been by my side that night. But you cannot be beside me always. You’re a wife now. And even if you cannot be a mother naturally, there are many other ways to have children.”
Nat drops her arms, watching you with a concerned and furrowed brow. She’s clearly focused on you and not herself. You want to remedy that quickly. You love her, how can you allow her to only ever let you be her concern?
“You two must have discussed it?” You prompt, knowing that Bucky would not give up on giving Nat what she most desperately desires. “I know you want to be a mother. You love children.”
She seems to realize that you are not about to let this drop, so she sighs, relaxing a bit.
“I have thought about it.” She nods. “And yes, I do love children but I’m not sure if it’s right for me with the life that Bucky and I lead.”
Your heart aches suddenly, a renewal of Grandmother’s words reminding you that your daughter could lose her father. She so damn right about that.
“I don’t blame you.” You nod, sitting yourself on the end of the bed. “This life that all of you have chosen is one most unwelcome to the traditional family. But it is possible. Father and Mother have Morgana, Lord and Lady Lang have their daughter. Steve and I now have Margaret.
“It may not be ideal, certainly. But possible.” You offer in encouragement.
You don’t want her to give up. You want her to be happy.
Nat looks down at your stocking covered feet and nods.
“You don’t have to. Of course, it is entirely your choice and Bucky’s. I’m not trying to say that you should have children. But if you should you choose to have them, it is possible to live both lives.” You really hope that you’re not putting any pressure on her to raise a child when she might not want to.
Natasha’s inability to have children naturally should not be a hindrance on her desire to be a mother if she should decide to try. There are thousands of children in orphanages across the Kingdoms that would benefit greatly from a loving home that you know Bucky and Nat would provide effortlessly.
At the end of the day however, you know it is their choice.
“I appreciate your support.” Nat admits, gathering your skirts again and then holding them open for you to put your head through. “Truly. It means so much to me that you think I could do a good job. As a mother.”
You stand and stick your head through the dress and begin to pull your arms through the large puffed sleeves as Natasha straightens your skirt.
The neckline is ruffled, heart shaped, and low. The sleeves are also ruffled, small cinches that wrap around your arm mid-bicep leaving your shoulders and neckline exposed. Nat turns you and quickly laces up the back of the dress. She pulls it tight so that there is no chance of it slipping down.
“Isn’t this a little-?”
“You look beautiful.” Natasha smiles, fixing a long pink sash around your waist that she ties into a long loose bow above the curve of your bum. “Shall I braid your hair again?”
Natasha’s hands work fast, her fingers nimble and familiar with your hair’s texture and flow. The skirt is so long and flowing that you wonder if something special has been planned for you to attend as you feel that despite the somewhat casual look of the dress, it also doubles as pretty in that formal sense.
Your fingers find the embroidered pink and white peonies on the bodice that decorate your breast.
“Am I seeing someone special today?” You ask.
“No.” Natasha smiles. “Just us. Lunch is being served in the garden for you, Margaret, and Steve. Bucky and I shall be nearby. Peter will be close too. No one special.”
You huff a laugh as she lists all of the most precious people in your life. “So, only those special to me then?”
Nat chuckles and finishing tying off your hair.
“Lunch is for you, Steve, and Maggie. Steve expressed a wish to spend some quiet time alone with the two of you. He knows he’s been busy the past few weeks racing about chasing leads on this new Hydra weapon. He wants to make it up to you and I know he’d appreciate you in this dress.”
Her explanation makes sense but you’re successfully distracted from the dress by the mention of Hydra.
“How was the search?” You suddenly wonder, remembering Steve’s orders for her and Bucky.
“We’ve spread the word and will go out again tonight to search. I’ll tell you if anyone is found.”
“I’d like to know what’s happening with this.” You turn to her, adjusting within her grip as she reaches down to fuss with your dress. “I need to know, Nat. I can’t be kept in the dark again.”
Natasha drops her hands, placing them on her hips as she considers the look in your eyes.
“You’re not saying something.” She realizes. “What’s troubling you?”
“Nothing.” You say quickly, a shrug thrown her way just to brush off the concern. “I just don’t want any surprises. Not like before. This threat seems insignificant but what if there’s more to this mysterious weapon? I want to know what you’re all walking into.”
“Steve has promised to keep you appraised.” Nat promises you. “I will hold him to his word.”
Slowly, as the truth of her words shines through her eyes, a small smile stretches your lips.
“Thanks, Nat.”
~~~~~~~~~~
As you approach your renovated pavilion, peony blossoms blooming all around in varying shades of pink, you adjust Maggie in your arms.
You’re careful with your own dress. Double-checking the top of your bodice to make sure for the tenth time that you are covered after feeding your daughter. Nat made sure it was tight again but you’re fretting is ceaseless as a mother now.
The corset you’re wearing made especially for you since you are nursing, makes it easy for you to feed her without much fuss. Steve seems to favor it too though you’ve told him to be gentle and he’s avoided enjoying your breasts while you’re focused on raising your little one.
Aside from a loving caress and gentle butterfly kisses when the two of you make love, he’s avoided touching them.
Reaching the stairs, you fix your daughter’s dress—changed to match yours with endless ruffles but the same peony embroidery pattern on her little chest and pink sash around her little waist.
Steve rises quickly, rushing towards you with his arms extended.
Maggie coos excitedly, her little high-pitched squeaks and goos nearly make you swoon as she kicks her little legs excitedly. She’s not exactly screaming yet, but her noises are long and eager.
“There’s my princess.” Steve says proudly, his eyes flooding with love as he takes her into his large arms and kisses her chubby cheek.
He turns her to sit with her little back pressed against his chest and smiles at you while your own eyes are glued to your daughter.
“And my beautiful Queen.” He gushes, pulling your attention away from Maggie as he leans down slowly until he meets your lips with a long slow peck. “How are you?”
His voice is soft and deep. “I’m very well.”
It’s almost a lie.
In this moment, here with Steve and Maggie, you are most definitely well. You’re happy and you wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
Your heart still weighs a ton with Grandmother’s news.
For a terrible moment as Steve walks away from you to sit down with Maggie on his lap, you remember her words and your knees almost buckle.
With him focused on the little one, you manage to sit yourself down before he can notice.
Rapid footsteps climb the stairs behind you. You turn to find Peter moving in to stand beside you both. He smiles excitedly as he watches Maggie. He, like everyone else in the castle, is head over heels for her.
No one draws a smile quicker than Maggie, even from the gentry that had so readily spread rumors about you.
This makes you happy. Your daughter accepted.
“Cook will be out with your meals shortly, your Majesties.” He informs you both.
“Won’t you join us?” You ask him, but Peter meets Steve’s eyes for a moment then reaches up to scratch behind his head, his cheeks flushing pink.
Clearly Steve had made it clear that he wanted to spend time with you and Maggie alone to more than just Nat. However, there’s something else in that rosy tint in Peter’s cheeks.
“I…I’m actually meeting Morgana in the libraries to help her with her studies. I will cancel with her if you wish me to stay?” He offers, though you see the disappointment in his eyes.
“No.” You hurry to assure him. “No, we’re fine. I just wanted to be sure you ate.”
“Thank you, your Majesty. I believe Cook is sending sandwiches to the library for us.” Peter bows and with an excitement in his step you watch him until he’s out of sight.
“They make a good match.” You smile, turning to take a sip of water from the silver goblet before you.
“Who?” Steve asks, confused. He bounces his leg to keep Maggie occupied while allowing her to hold his finger in her tight tiny fist. She drags it to her mouth and bites it with her gums, yet Steve doesn’t seem to notice.
“Peter and Morgana.”
“Peter and your sister?” Steve asks in shock. “But…she’s so young.”
“She’s fifteen, going on sixteen.” You remind him. “If they are engaged this year that will still leave them with two years of courtship before they’re married. That is the custom in Malibia.
She’ll be eighteen by then and Peter will be twenty-four. Some people would say those are two ages perfect for marrying.”
Despite the pleasant picture you paint, Steve’s frown only grows.
“What?” You chuckle, reaching into your skirts to find the pocket where you’d placed a few small towels for Maggie’s constant drooling.
You offer Steve the towel but he’s still frowning? No…he’s pouting! You get up and move around to wipe her chin before placing the towel in Steve’s hand.
“Why are you pouting?”
“I’m not pouting.” Steve grumbles.
It makes you laugh again. “Steve…”
“Maggie will not be getting engaged until she’s at least twenty.” He suddenly declares. “I’ll lock her up in the West tower until she’s that age and only then will I allow her to entertain the idea of a suitor.”
“Are you worried that you’ll only have her for sixteen years?” You chuckle, watching the worry in his eyes as he cradles Maggie closer, stroking her rounded cheeks with gentle thumbs.
“She’s mine right now.” Steve laments, looking down at her as she continues to chew on his finger. “I don’t want to part with her. I’ve waited so long for her for some boy to come take her from me.”
“Oh, my darling.” You chuckle but this time with full sympathy for his heartbreak. “We will have lots of time with her. And even after she marries, she will always be our daughter.”
Steve’s eyes are glued to her little face and he completely doesn’t notice Cook come up to serve your meal. A few roast chickens with potatoes and carrots.
You eat in silence but quickly. Enjoying the sight of him growing more and more enamored with your daughter. Steve doesn’t seem to notice the time slip by as he distracts her with the towel you’d handed him.
She chatters about nothing in her baby speak, drawing smiles and chuckles from your husband.
Finally, you eat your last carrot and slide your chair back.
“I’m sorry.” You tell him, rising to your feet knowing you have no reason to be sorry. He’s so in love with her. Luckily, you’ve still managed to eat fast enough that the food is still warm for him. “I should hire a maid to watch her when we eat.”
It’s true that you’ll eventually need to hire someone to take care of her when you must deal with kingdom affairs too. You’re so reluctant to let someone else care for her. Just as Steve claims her passionately, you feel just as he does. She’s yours.
“Not yet.” Steve counters, letting you take her from him. He adjusts in his chair, wipes his hand then proceeds to eat, stealing glances at both of you as you move towards the benches that line the inner edge of the pavilion.
Everything is so perfect. So lovely.
You’re almost content in this moment, with your little girl in your arms and Steve sharing a meal with you. You’re very nearly happy until you look at him and like a raging storm Grandmother’s words destroy your fragile peace once more.
Steve is going to die.
He turns to you and smiles. He smiles at Maggie. He confesses his love for you both with it pouring from his eyes and while your heart aches, you vow to do anything to stop this new threat from taking him away.
~~~~~~~~~~
“Come to bed.” Steve pleads.
You glance at him through your looking glass, a hazy image because of the distance from your small table to the bed. The silver is in need of polishing or perhaps replacing. You don’t dare speak this thought aloud though.
Knowing Steve, he’d simply buy you a wall full of mirrors and you can’t have that.
Even blurry he’s a vision, an absolute fucking sight to behold with your daughter at the center of your bed his fingers tickling her tummy as she kicks her little legs excitedly. Her little hands absentmindedly stroking his arm.
He’s on his side, shirtless. His lower body hidden beneath the sheets of your bed as he lays naked underneath.
Despite that delectable fact, your eyes are glued to his gentle smile as he takes his hand and gently strokes the length of Maggie’s little nose. He’s noticed how that lulls her to sleep and does it to her every night to send her off when he’s not busy in meetings.
You finish tending to your hair, braiding it back once again to keep out of the way for your little one. When you turn in your seat to look at them, you find Maggie’s movements slowed. Her eyes are closing, little rosebud lips left open slightly.
She’s already fed and content. Your happy baby, so protected and cherished.
Despite his attentions to your daughter that you’ve spent the last ten minutes watching, when you look at him you find Steve’s eyes on you.
“Come to bed.” He urges you, a small twinkle of desire hidden in the tranquility of these moments he spends with Maggie but stares at you.
“Are you trying for a second?” You ask him, teasing as you rise and move to the bed. You know that look well by now.
Steve’s expression suddenly shift, concern etched across his face.
“Am I rushing you?” He asks, reaching for you as you kneel on the bed and gather your nightdress up so as not to trip on it. “I don’t want to hurt you.”
He’s thinking of this morning, already having had you in his den.
Since you’d given birth, he’s been so careful with you. Even when you’d assured him you were ready to be intimate with him again, he’d hesitated. Worried about hurting you or rushing your body into doing things you should not be doing.
Your smile only grows, a small chuckle escaping your lips as you settle in on Maggie’s right. She doesn’t even stir. Steve’s hand remains around your forearm, fingers gently caressing your skin.
“Why do you laugh?” He asks, his mouth perking at the corners despite his worry.
“You are not like any man I’ve ever met or heard of.” You confess. “Some of the women in Bright Rise, when they still spoke with me, would tell me about their husbands. They were like you were at the beginning of our marriage. Worse, as they took without care for their wives’ wishes. Some of them were always pregnant now that I think about it. Always trailed by a line of toddlers and children.
“The men didn’t care about their wives’ bodies or how their need to satiate their hungers affected the other.” You shake your head. “Some of the women even confessed to me that they took on lovers to find the enjoyment in fucking again.”
“Something you would have been forced to do had I continued in my foolish ways.” Steve suggests, unphased by your still somewhat rural tongue.
“Maybe…in the future. It would have taken me years of neglect to get to that point.” You nod, “Even with Thor, his touch was…unwelcome. He didn’t force me, but I did not feel right accepting his affections. I’m married. Even unhappy that wasn’t something I took lightly.”
Steve’s hand moves up to the top of your arm then slowly he drags it down to your wrist.
“Were you always this considerate? I mean, before me?” You wonder, looking deep into his storm blue eyes. “Say with Margaret? Or, perhaps the other women you were with before we married?”
Steve turns, laying himself on his back.
He releases your arm and gently strokes the length of his chest, fingers dancing across the tuft of blonde hair that rails all the way down below where the blanket ends at his waist. His other hand he shoves underneath his head as he thinks.
You wait patiently for him to be ready to speak. You’ve never asked him about his habits with other women in bed.
He steals several quick looks your way which tells you he’s nervous about answering you. Wary, in case it should prompt a fight. You can see the moment he decides to give in. His lips part a little, they stutter, then he speaks.
“Margaret was strong.” He states plainly, as if that explains it all.
You wait.
“Not that you aren’t!” He rushes to say, sitting up as gently as he can to keep from waking your daughter.
Maggie still stirs and whimpers. You place your hand on her chest and soothe her until she stills again.
“Can you put her in her bed?” You begin to sit up too, ready to do it yourself but Steve is faster, rushing so that you won’t have to.
“Of course! I’ll get her.” He gently scoops her up into his arms then quickly moves around to your side of the bed as you follow them with your eyes, turning your body as they go.
Gently he places her in her crib and tucks her in, shushing and soothing her as she complains then goes silent once more.
She isn’t too close, but you can still see her from your spot on the bed. Steve double checks by looking at you to see if you can still see her.
When he’s satisfied that you can, he moves back to you, crawling over you and stopping to give the tip of your nose a kiss as he goes before plopping himself down on his side once again. This time he reaches for you, grabby hands tracing the shape of your curves as he pulls you a little closer.
“What I meant, is that Margaret was willful. She knew what she wanted, and she made certain that everyone else knew so too.” He clears his throat, suddenly nervous again. “In bed, she was just as certain of herself.
“Even though I made the first move, she was the one who took charge in our physical relationship. I knew that if something were to go wrong or if she was tired or too ill to be with me intimately, she would tell me.”
You listen without judgement and try to keep your face clear of all emotions other than the love you have for him. Even through this conversation, your heart pounds with dread as it repeats Grandmother’s words over and over, reminding you that every moment with Steve is precious.
“I never had to worry about Margaret’s body because she never had to compromise it for me. I did worry for her, but not in the same way.” Steve says, probably thinking about the risks that Margaret would have taken as part of the Avengers.
“And the other women?” You wonder.
“There weren’t many.” Steve assures you, looking down at your chest in embarrassment. “Only two.”
“You were grieving Margaret.” You nod, understanding. “That doesn’t mean you aren’t a man.”
Steve is silent for a moment, resting his head in his hand as he uses his elbow to prop himself up. With his other hand he traces nervous circles in the blanket between you.
“They were visiting ladies. Ladies who, like Margaret, knew what they wanted.” Steve sighs the lunges softly towards you, pushing you onto your back so suddenly it makes you gasp and then laugh.
As he settles his body halfway over yours, he smiles down at you.
His hands caress the sides of your face before he trails one hand along your sides, grabbing you with intent. You can feel the desire in his touch.
“Court ladies are all playing a game. It’s a language they speak that you don’t know.” Steve sighs heavily. “A set of rules that I’m glad you do not understand. You are nothing like them and I love you for it.”
“They had husbands?” You realize.
“Yes.” Steve nods. “Men who are too distracted by their own infidelities or too busy grasping at power to pay their wives any mind. With both of them it was only one night. It came and went so quickly I can barely remember them. I don’t even think I could tell you their names.”
His face grows solemn, sad as if remembering a painful memory that has since lost its sting but not the emotion of sorrow. “I didn’t enjoy myself. I was driven by lust, but I didn’t even…I made sure they were satisfied and left it at that.”
“Mm. You felt guilty.” You nod, understanding as you watch his full lips. The lower is so much bigger than the upper. You reach up and trace it, loving the soft plumpness of it.
“Does it not make you jealous?” He wonders, relaxing more of his weight onto you. “Does it not upset you?”
You meet his eyes again, a smile stretched across your face. You can see that he wants to know you’re jealous. He wants to know that you want him as much as he wants you.
So much progress…is this truly the man you married?
“Only as much as it would upset any wife to hear her beloved husband talk about his past adventures in fucking other women.”
Steve groans and buries his face into the side of your neck, wrapping his arms around you as you also wrap yours around his shoulders. You chuckle, caressing the back of his head.
“So, the concern is not normal?” You realize, feeling better but also worried that you’re not seeing the real Steve. That maybe he’s acting this way with you while acting a completely different way with everyone else.
Is this not who he is?
“No, the concern is normal.” Steve says, muffled against your skin, making you feel almost instantly better.
He pulls back to look down at you again.
“What I’m saying is that every woman that I have been with until you has never given me cause to be concerned. I didn’t hurt them the way I hurt you.” He frowns. “I didn’t take what they weren’t willing to give.”
You look away this time, the solemnity coming from you now. The shift of conversation making your heart ache. When you speak, your voice is quiet, subdued with the reminder of your wedding night.
“I wasn’t unwilling.” You correct him because you hadn’t been. Not that first night or any night after.
Your line was not one clearly drawn, certainly. You’d slept with him out of duty but that hadn’t meant you didn’t want to. He’s the most beautiful man you’d ever seen in your life. Of course, you’d wanted him.
You hadn’t told him no. You’d only told him to slow down. You know that for him, for Nat, for everyone who found out—that slow down had been enough. It should have been enough to stop him.
“You know what I mean.” Steve says, placing both his hands on the sides of your face to tilt your head back until you look at him. “I wounded you. I took something that was not mine to take.”
“But it was yours to take.” You correct him again, and he growls in his throat at you before shaking his head, the pain leaving his eyes to be replaced by admiration.
“I can still feel you, trembling and sobbing in my arms. I was disgusted with myself. I couldn’t believe that I could do that to anyone. And you were so…so kind and gentle. So eager to please and I took advantage of that.” Steve confesses. All of his thoughts spilling out of him like water. “I had turned this beautiful, sweet princess into a sobbing, fearful, and wounded creature. I was so consumed by my grief over Margaret and my anger at having to marry again when I wasn’t ready to do so that I wanted it over. In that moment, I didn’t care about the sweet woman beneath me.
“And even after I hurt you, when I came to see you, despite your fear your only concern was for the tears I shed.”
It takes a moment to find your voice, but you do. You swallow hard.
“I’d never seen a man cry.” You confess. “Much less a king.”
“I meant every tear.” Steve insists. “If I could take that night back, I would. If I could redo every night since, I would. I am concerned for you above anyone else, because in you I saw my darkest self and I never want to be that man for you again. I never want to hurt you.”
The two of you lapse into emotional but pleasant silence. Both hearts beating strongly against each other as his chest is pressed firmly against your own.
At last, you smile, a chuckle spilling from your lips as you reach up and tuck his hair behind his ear. It’s getting long again.
“Have you always made these long speeches? Or is that reserved for me as well?” You check, mostly just teasing.
Steve’s lips curl up, his eyes twinkling mischievously. “I make sure to give every pretty woman I see a lengthy speech. Whether they’re enjoyable is a different matter.”
You bite your lip, glaring at him but only in jest. Quickly he dips down to kiss your lips, letting it linger for a moment before he pulls back only a bit so that when he speaks, his lips are fluttering against your own.
“My declarations of love, however, are entirely yours alone.” He whispers. “Tell me to stop and I will obey, my Queen.”
His right hand moves down, searching until it finds the hem of your nightdress which he begins to tug up until he finds the top of your leg. He traces the dip of flesh there, tickling your skin in search of your already yearning core.
As his fingers make contact, you gasp into his slightly open mouth and it draws his attention back up to your face. He licks your lips, just a gentle flick of the tip of his tongue before he kisses you, sinking it into your depths where you meet his eager kiss with your own.
You moan quietly, a whimper of yearning as his fingers spread your folds and begin to explore you. The noises his hand makes absolutely sinful.
Eager for his touch, you bring your knees up. You spread your legs for him, and he pulls out of the kiss to slide down along your body. He does down, down, down until he’s settled between your legs.
He grabs one and throws it over his left shoulder, then the other over his right. He kisses your thighs, trailing his tongue in small circles before every gentle pucker. The anticipation curls your toes as he moves closer and closer to your cunt.
“Steve…” You whisper, aware of the baby asleep in her crib and your need to keep quiet so that she can sleep.
He dives in, his tongue making one long swipe of your dripping core.
You gasp, curling up towards him as your body is sent into shivers.
He grabs hold of your thighs roughly, pulling you hard against his face. Opening his mouth, he suckles on your clit, the gentle sound of his sucking filling your limbs with fire.
As much as you enjoy his mouth where it is, there’s an impatience that wages war within you.
After months of waiting to enjoy sleeping with him, now that you do, it makes you eager to have him within you.
“Steve, please…” You beg, reaching down and tugging on his hair.
He likes that, growling a little at the lusty whisper that is your plea.
Pressing kisses along the length of your body while he shoves your nightdress up higher and higher, he finally helps you pull it off before taking your breasts within his mouth.
His lips are soft against them, gentle in their suckling as he knows how painful you can find it now.
When you whimper from the soreness, he steals a quick look at you to make sure you aren’t in too much pain before he simply kisses them around the nipple.
You run your hand over his hair, a promise that someday he’ll be able to enjoy your breasts again. He reads your reassurance but dismisses it as he rushes to meet your lips in a demanding kiss.
Without warning he pushes into you. He stretches you, filling you up so pleasantly that you throw your head back but swallow the moan you’d normally release.
Fuck…Your mind supplies, nails raking along the scarred flesh of his shoulders.
“Fuck…” Steve groans into your ear, stopping once he’s buried within you. Great minds think alike, you guess.
“Don’t stop.” You beg and wrap your left arm around his shoulders while the other reaches down as far as it can to grab as much of his bum as possible and pull him close.
He starts slowly, letting you both relish in the silky way his cock slides out of you then back in.
“Kiss me.” You tell him, needing his mouth to silence the moans you feel bound to make.
He obliges, roughly meeting your lips with a frenzied and lustful kiss as he loses himself within you.
He doesn’t pound into you the way he did at the cottage. He knows he shouldn’t, so he doesn’t. Even though you want it, you’re grateful for his forethought and instead focus on the way he seems to know which angles to adjust so that his cock not only pierces you but presses against the most sensitive spots inside of you.
He moves faster, reaching down to massage your clit as he kisses his way down your neck.
The moment is sudden, and it surprises you when your body goes tense for a moment as your climax washes over you.
You pull Steve down against you, gripping him hard as you hold him tight while your body is overcome.
Steve continues to push into you. Faster as he realizes that you’ve reached your limit. He grunts as he picks up speed, tracing the shape of your back down to your ass where he takes hold of it, fingers digging into the muscle.
He pulls up a little, searching for your lips with his own, tongue delving into your mouth as you give him what he wants. Both of you moan into each other, muffled and needy until Steve’s body stutters and his heat spills into you over and over.
He thrusts with each burst of ecstasy that overtakes him. His groans grow lazy. His body loose. Your own is already numb and you go still beneath him as he trails lazy kisses along the misty skin of your neck and shoulders.
He sighs, laying his head against your clavicle where he relaxes on top of you, your hands gently stroking his back.
You steal a glance at Maggie in her crib, but she’s sound asleep. It relaxes you to know she’s unbothered and without meaning to, you and Steve both fall asleep.
~~~~~~~~~~
A loud thumping makes you twitch. It sounds distant but it startles you anyway.
In your arms, something large moves.
Your sleepy mind reminds you that it’s Steve and you sigh in your semi-sleep as your hands enjoy the feel of his hot body still resting on top of your own.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The thumping returns, this time louder and clearer.
A quiet whine to your right wakes you more quickly than the thumping and like you’ve been stunned with Thor’s lightning, you spring up from the bed, quickly sliding out from beneath Steve who also whines at your moving but peeks up at you as you rise.
“Whereyewgoin?” He asks, still mostly asleep.
“Go back to sleep.” You whisper to him from beside Maggie’s crib.
BOOM! BOOM-BOOM!
The thumping, which is actually a knocking on your door you realize, repeats.
Maggie whines again and you frown.
“Who’s there?” Steve asks towards the door, his voice more annoyed then upset.
“It’s Agatha, your Majesty.” One of the guards outside speaks.
“Don’t speak for me.” Grandmother’s voice grumbles.
“I’m sorry, your Majesty.” The guard says nervously, probably worried about the knocking, which means that was Grandmother and not the guard.
You look at Steve as Maggie begins to wake, her cries soft but rising as you continue to try and soothe her but now only halfheartedly.
Fear grips you, stealing you of your voice as you stare at your husband. Your little girl’s cries grow louder as she wakes but you’re frozen in place, terrified of what Grandmother could not wait until the morning to tell you.
“What, my flower?” Steve suddenly asks, sliding to the edge of the bed towards you.
“I…I should see what she wants.” You whisper, afraid to speak any louder despite your daughter already being awake.
“Go.” Steve urges you, grabbing your nightdress and moving towards you. He offers it to you as he reaches you. “I’ll put Maggie back to sleep.”
You take the nightdress with trembling hands. If Steve notices he doesn’t say so, but you don’t think he does as he’s already lifting Maggie from the crib, moving back towards the bed.
You dress in a hurry, then move to grab Steve’s robe as it’s closer and pull it over your body.
You’re tying it closed as the door opens upon your approach and find Grandmother pacing the hallway behind the two guards assigned to keep you and Maggie safe.
After what happened with Pierce, Steve is taking no chances.
“Grandmother?” You check, voice stronger but still just as terrified.
“We must speak.” She tells you, her voice strong and her eyes full of severity.
With a tentative nod you have her follow you into Steve’s den next door, shutting the door securely before you move into the room and offer her a seat in front of Steve’s desk.
“No.” She waves your offer off, pacing as you take a seat because your legs are weak again. “I have found a solution.”
“So quickly?” You gasp, hands balled into tight fists on your lap as you watch her pace.
“The sooner the better I would think in this situation. This is nothing like I have ever done before.” She admits. “It will take all of my power to do it.”
“It…will it hurt you?” You wonder, worried for her withered body.
“Probably not.” She shakes her head. “No way to know for sure. But it’s something I’m willing to die for.”
“What?” You gasp, suddenly terrified of losing her.
Finally, Grandmother stops her pacing and moves to stand before you.
“This threat is greater than I first thought.” She admits, slowly sitting herself down in the seat beside yours, turning it so that she can face you. “We cannot allow this power to grow. We can either stop it here, right now. Or we can let your husband stop it later. If we allow him to do it, it will take his life. There is no doubt in my mind of that. There will be others. He will not be the only to perish.
“Stopping this threat now is for everyone’s benefit and if I must pay with my life to save many others, I will do so willingly.” She declares.
“I can’t ask you to do that.” You shake your head, your emotions already raw.
“You’re not asking me, girl. I’m telling you that I must do it. I have already made my choice, now the only choice left to make is your own.” She fixes her gaze on you and you find you cannot look away.
“My own choice?”
“You asked me to save him. To ensure that he will live, a great sacrifice must be made. Separate from my own. I will provide the power, the strength for the incantation. Something else must be given for it to succeed.” Grandmother explains.
Your mind springs into action, thinking of the one thing you have of worth to give. Your life.
“So, I’ll…I’ll die?” You whisper, already in sorrow for leaving your husband and child.
“No.” Grandmother says. “No, I’m certain you will live.”
“Then what?”
“The price is impossible to know. It could be anything.” Grandmother gestures at you, looking you over from head to toe. “It could be your sight. Your ability to hear. Your voice. Your ability to walk. Whatever it is, it will be a great price to pay. Only you can choose to pay it but unless you do, I cannot go forward with the spell.”
“C-can I choose? Can I decide what it is that I sacrifice?” You hope, but what would you choose? What do you possibly have that could be worth your husband’s life?
“No. The magics will choose what to take. It will be equal to what it is you ask for, but only the magics can choose what that value is.” Grandmother explains.
This is impossible. This is unbelievable. This is torture.
You have to pay a price without knowing what it will be?
You know that your answer is yes. You’ll pay it. Whatever the price, you will give it willingly if it will save Steve’s life.
“I will pay it.” You nod. “Of course, I will. Yes.”
Grandmother takes your hand and squeezes it, a knowing look in her eyes. “I knew you would.”
She rises and you follow. Your hands feel weak but with the decision now made, you now it’s right and feel settled that you know this will soon be resolved.
Before the old woman can make it to the door, you reach out and grab her wrist, stopping her before she can leave.
“Grandmother…” You begin, waiting for her to turn.
She doesn’t. “Don’t get sentimental.” She says, voice strong though you’re sure that you can hear a small sadness in her tone.
“I want to thank you…for taking care of me. For loving me. I know that you could not always be there when I was young but you’re here now. Thank you.” You whisper, scared to speak louder in case you begin to cry. “I-I just wanted you to know. In case I cannot say it later or if you-”
You can’t even speak the words. She won’t die. She can’t.
With one withered hand, she reaches down and places it over your own. She gives you a squeeze, her hands trembling but reassuring.
“I don’t know when the spell will take effect. Go. Sleep soundly. Hold them close.” Grandmother advises then pushes your hand off her arm and disappears into the sleeping castle.
The very short walk back to your bedroom feels as if it takes forever. The guard make no comment as they open your door for you and you wander in, eyes searching for the loves of your life.
You find Steve snuggled up close to Maggie, his head pressed against the side of her own, his hand on her tummy and his eyes closed.
Maggie is not sleeping. She’s staring up at the ceiling with her little legs kicking gently as she coos and babbles her baby speak. One of her little hands is closed tightly around Steve’s finger, holding tight. As you move towards them, you notice how her hand doesn’t even close around his finger completely. She’s so small still. So fragile.
What if you can’t hold her after paying the price? What if you can’t hear her babble? What if you can’t see her little face or the way her eyes light up and her toothless smile spreads across her face as she spots you?
Just as she does now, she lets out a louder “Goo…” as she spots you and her legs go into a frenzy as she flails her limbs frantically.
You don’t want to cry but you feel the rush of sorrow overwhelm you. Quickly, before Steve can see, you drop onto the bed still wearing his robe and pull Maggie towards you. You hug her and turn her towards you, burying your face against her tiny chest.
Her little hands grab at you, whatever part of your head they can, and she pulls your ears, tugs your hair, scratches against your cheek but you don’t care. You inhale her scent, memorizing it just in case you lose the ability to smell.
After you’re sure you could never forget it, you tickle her sides until she’s giggling lightly, small bubbles and whines of amusement. It’s not a full laugh. She hasn’t done that for you yet. What if you never get to hear it?
You memorize this one anyway, put it away and lock it up within your heart where you know you will always be able to recall the pure sound of her innocence.
It takes every ounce of will power within you to stifle your desire to sob. Still, you manage it and when you’re certain you can face him, you pull back a bit to look at your daughter’s beautiful face.
She’s all Steve. You hardly recognize anything in her looks of you. She’s gorgeous. Pretty blonde hair, just like Steve’s only slightly darker in shade.
Her eyes are a piercing blue. Lighter than Steve’s but just as observant. She watches you, reaches out for your face where she places a small hand on your nose then slides it down to your lips which she casually grabs and releases before her eyes find her hand and she brings it to her mouth to taste.
You watch her for so long, you’re sure that it must nearly be morning, but the sky continues to be dark outside the windows of your room.
You sing to your little one. A quit lullaby that you hope she’ll remember if you can never speak to her again. You tell her you love her and sing some more.
She drifts off eventually, her little mouth open as she sleeps.
Finally, you turn your eyes on Steve, yearning to see him almost to an unnatural amount. You have never doubted it but in this moment as your eyes find him staring right back at you, you realize how much you truly love him. How much he’s changed your life.
Your world has grown since you met him. He’s changed you forever.
Will the sacrifice be your life? Will you be leaving them behind? Will you be wounding him again, just as Margaret had?
Even though Grandmother said it wouldn’t be, you can’t help but wonder and worry that you might very well be spending the last moments you’ll ever have with him and Maggie now.
What if you close your eyes and they should never open again?
At least she would have him. Maggie wouldn’t be alone. She would have her father. And he would have her.
If by some chance her father should also leave her behind, she’d have Nat and Bucky. She’d have Sam and Peter. She’d have the entire team to care for her. Father and Mother would probably try and take her to Malibia.
She would never need to worry about her meals or whether she could survive frigid winter temperatures. She would be protected and loved even if you aren’t around to make sure she is.
Steve blinks slowly. He’s sleepy but he’s trying to stay awake because you’re awake.
You’re not sure if he can tell that something is wrong, but you push yourself up towards him. You’re careful as you hover over Maggie, reaching to hook your hand behind his neck as he also pushes himself up and towards you.
You kiss him, slow and smooth until your heart begins to ache and your hand squeezes around his neck.
You kiss him with a bit more fervor and though he returns it, when you pull away, his brow is narrowed in confusion. Subtle concern.
“I love you.” You whisper to him, reaching down to trace the shape of his bottom lip with your thumb. You kiss him again. “I love you, forever.”
It’s a promise you have every intention of honoring. Will he love you even if you can’t talk? Will he love you if you can’t hear? Will he still love you if you are not the woman you are now?
You know that you can overcome anything. You can embrace a new way of living so long as it means that Steve and Maggie are safe. But will he see it that way? Will he love you for the woman you will become?
“You’re my entire world, Y/N.” He whispers back almost as if he can hear your thoughts and he wants to put you at ease.
His lips curl up at the corns softly as he blinks even slower than before as sleep begins to pull him under. “You and Maggie are my life.”
Your lip trembles as his eyes shut and do not open again, his head falling to his pillow.
“I love you…so…” He trails off, his words lost to dreams.
You stare at him and then Maggie. All night you stare at them, memorizing the way they breathe and smell. If you’re going to be changed forever, you’re going to remember this moment and cherish it until the day you die.
You will never forget it.

1 Year & 3 Months Later
The sun is beaming. It’s strong. July is hot, even more so than normal. You groan as you look up to the sky and shield your eyes from the blinding light.
For a moment your mind goes hazy, full of fog. Something changes as it always does. Something shifts.
Something tugs at the corners of your mind. Something blurry and demanding. You get this way every single time you come here.
Every time you fill the wooden bucket, there’s a flash of something familiar.
You focus on the tug, allowing it to unearth the secret that eludes you.
There’s a quick flash that you don’t quite see. A golden hue. A storm blue circle.
Then your bucket overflows and the water splashes your feet, drenching your newly mended shoes.
They’re too small for your feet but it’s all you have.
“Damn.” You sigh, grunting as you lift the bucket and place it on the damp bank of the river.
Across the barren field, your little hut just at the opposite edge nestled into a grove of forest trees, Bright Rise begins to wake.
Another day, another scramble to find a way to keep your belly full.
“Time to check the traps.” You sigh, groaning as you lift the bucket and begin the trek back to your little hovel in the only village you’ve ever known.
The place you were born, but most definitely not home.
Your heart tells you that somewhere out there…somewhere else, your true home waits.
