so I was digging through the Vast Legally Grey Junkyards of the Internet in search of better quality footage from AoU for my edits, specifically the scene with the CA FASCIST grafitti in Sokovia—which I unfortunately didn't find, but what I DID find was a bunch of deleted/expanded scenes that I didn't know/didn't care enough to pay attention to before. Which is fine. Most of it is techno babble and rushed plot setup. However. This stupid-ass ten second clip makes me literally insane. It makes me. Want to kill and maim and chew on the bars of my enclosure. And not in the sense that the contents make me oh-so-emotional, but because the potential of them could. Because what do you mean.
What do you mean those four and a half lines were cut for pacing/time when it's a ten second difference and the rest of the scene is in the film anyway. What do you mean you cut it because it didn't fit the narrative. It's literally couched in two minutes of plot it could've been so easy to slip it in there. A passing reference that would add at least a smidgen of depth to both the (already fucking incomprehensible) plot + politics of the antagonists, and to one of the main fucking characters. Like you were SO close what do you mean you cut every feeble attempt that was made to scratch the surface of Steve's character outside the whole nightmare scene we're supposed to feel so bad about what do you MEAN.
The fact that this minimal exchange—paired with that graffiti scene where Steve is confronted with the actual legacy of Captain America and what he's come to mean to people around the world and then quite physically discards the identity + him still circling back to the mantle at the end of the film anyway because he doesn't know how to do or be anything else, feels like he's too changed for this idea of a normal life that stems from before the war and the ice and doesn't know how to live without carrying that, without being useful in this one specific way—has more meat on its bones in the whole lead up to Civil War and ultimately Endgame than half of this movie's sledgehammer-over-the-head lines about home and family with Barton's kids laughing in the background or whatever like some fucked up C list hallmark movie is downright infuriating to me because like. You clearly thought about it. It passed through your head. You wrote some version of it into the scene. You shot it and edited it and watched it a few times and then you went "nah off it goes to the cutting room floor, we have enough of that. Add those seven and a half seconds to the 20-minute long, entirely CGI Hulk sequence, that we need more of. Surely that will fix the pacing issue".
Side note: this is me not even getting into the fact that, at this point in the franchise, this would have been one of the few lines we'd get of Maria actually saying something or interacting with anyone in a way that is even marginally removed (which this barely is) from simply delivering plot information. This is the only time we kinda get her view on something or even an inkling that she used to be a goddamn intelligence agent. And how that history informs her view of the situation and how it could possibly clash with Steve's own. And that woman is in every fucking movie. (Not to mention the fact that the two of them were just in a movie together, for Christ's sake, and going through something together you could pretty fairly characterize as traumatic and bond-inspiring to boot—and in AoU we can barely tell they even know each other. I mean the bar is so low and they still managed to limbo right under it.)
#listen I know there's a thousand and one technical reasons why it might've been cut but honestly truly frankly I don't give them the benefi#of the doubt that that was the case.#why am I yelling about this again? YOUR GUESS IS AS GOOD AS MINE#just never fails to surprise me all over again how little effort was actually put into Steve's character development in some of these#that is ultimately supposed to be the meat behind all of those “now you should feel for this character look ain't he sad!" scenes#but seeing as how we get nothing the rest of the time those just do not fucking land. and it extends all the way to his fumbed ass ending#obv it's not just steve it's 90% of their characters but I can only yell about so much at a time#and I really don't wanna go off on a full anti MCU rant like who's got the time or energy and also what is the point lol who cares#anyway this is entirely incoherent and I'm not saying anything new but I just needed to say fuck OFF joss whedon jesus christ#this movie could've been decent it was literally the best positioned in the series to be decent. and yet#delete later#max.txt#age of ultron#steve rogers

bad boys do it better
rated: teen | @steddieholidaydrabbles prompt: modern au tags: dating apps, innuendo, bad flirting read on ao3
✿
Eddie finally opens Tinder after downloading it in a fit of desperation.
He's tried everything but these stupid apps—bars and clubs and pottery classes and rock climbing—trying to find someone he can connect with.
But he's mostly found guys that string him along with whispered sweet nothings and half-promises they don't intend to follow through on.
So he makes his profile and then promptly fumbles and drops his phone because— no fucking way.
There's no way this is real life.
There's no fucking way the first guy to pop up is Steve fucking Harrington, his unfortunate and longest lasting crush in high school.
He picks up his phone and sees Steve's face staring back at him, unassuming, a bright, cheery smile on his face.
Steve, 28 2 miles away "Hope you like bad boys because I have it on dvd and vhs" Interests: baseball, basketball, live music, movies
He taps to get to the next photo and lets out a shaky breath—the shorts of what can only be his Halloween costume are so short, exposing hairy thighs that Eddie wants to sink his teeth into.
The next photo is a snapchat picture of him grinning wide, cradling what might be the world's ugliest dog, the text across the screen reading my nephew is so handsome 🤩🤩🤩.
The last is an obligatory shirtless mirror pic, not showing off washboard abs, but the soft, toned skin of his stomach.
He closes the app, sets his phone down, and breathes through his nose.
This can't be real, right? In what world would Steve be the first person in a sea of profiles in San Francisco of all places?
Eddie expected him to chase after Nancy Wheeler when she went to Boston, but he didn't stick around long enough in Hawkins to find out if they ever rekindled their will-they-won't-they relationship.
Maybe he's just visiting. Maybe he found his match and just forgot to delete Tinder. Because there's just no way Eddie has this kind of luck.
He opens up Instagram and searches for Steve and finds him right away because they're probably still Facebook friends.
He scrolls through his profile and deflates a little, because all of the pictures on Tinder are from his Instagram. Which means it's probably much more likely that someone is catfishing using Steve's pictures.
Because the Steve from high school wasn't into men. And he's hot enough for someone to use his pictures to scam people or whatever.
He opens up Tinder again and his thumb is swiping right before he thinks about what he's doing.
It's a match!
Okay, now he knows it's a catfish. Or maybe it's a bot.
There's no world in which Steve Harrington would swipe right on him in the twenty minutes it's been since he created his account.
He types a message to "Steve" saying so are you a bot or just a catfish?
He doesn't get a response right away, so he clicks out of the messages, looking at profiles of what are hopefully actual people he can connect with.
His phone buzzes when the message from Steve comes in.
Hi3 Eddiems, cl!ck th3 linkin my proffile to . achat I am waitin9
He rolls his eyes and goes back to perusing profiles. It's not like he thought it was really Ste-
His phone pings with another message and he clicks back into the chat immediately.
That was a joke. There's not even a link in my profile
Eddie's heart beats a little faster, his fingers typing out a response.
So a catfish then?
Why do you think I'm a catfish?????
Because I know the guy in those pictures and there's no way hes into men. That guy was a jock extraordinaire in high school and very straight
You're awfully judgey for someone who was so anti-conformity in high school. Whos to say I haven't changed?
Or like, learned new things about myself?
Eddie's breath stutters in his throat.
Also you didn't really know me since we never talked.
Okay, I mean. It's pretty easy to guess that I was counterculture in high school by looking at me. So I'm still on the fence about the catfish thing
How about we meet up then? So you can see me in all my nearing-30 glory
And watch bad boys on dvd and vhs with you?
Dude, I am not inviting you to my house on the first date
That's a third date kind of thing
Oh yeah? Is it a back-to-back feature? We start with the vhs then move to dvd?
He can't believe he's entertaining this. A catfish wouldn't offer to meet up unless they thought Eddie wouldn't call their bluff. He kind of wants to see where this is going.
No see, we start with the dvd playing in the living room and then when we inevitably start being bad boys🥵 in the middle of the movie, we can pick it back up on vhs in my room later
To be clear, we stop the movie, right? I'm not sure bad boys has a soundtrack meant for the kind of activities we'd be doing
Oh for sure. I'd even put on my "let's get it on" playlist. As a treat.
Eddie can't help but grin. Even if this guy is a catfish, this is maybe the most fun he's had talking to someone in a long time.
Are you serious about meeting up?
Uh yeah, I can't have you thinking I'm a catfish forever
What's your favorite brewery?
Cellarmaker
Wanna do tomorrow afternoon at like 2 when it's not busy?
That sounds perfect
He isn't sure if it's really Steve or if he's going to be met with someone else or stood up, but at least he'll get to drown his sorrows if it doesn't work out.
Well—he's unsure until he gets the 'stharrington started following you' notification on Instagram a few minutes later.
He screams into his pillow so loud his neighbor thumps on the wall.

Not All That Glitters is Gold Part 4
Hello and welcome to the latest omega escort Steve! We get Nancy and Robin time and Steve goes through a bit of the dark side of his job.
Part 1 Part 2 Part 3
@mira-jadeamethyst @rozzieroos @itsall-taken @redfreckledwolf @emly03
****
When Steve got into the limo that would take him and Nancy to the charity gala, she eyed him hungrily.
“You look nice tonight,” she said tightly. She chewed her bottom lip. “That’s a really good color on you.”
He smirked. “You did say that you were wearing gold tonight and jeweled tones always go well with metallic colors.”
Nancy nodded.
Steve turned away to look out the window, hiding a smile behind his fist.
The drive up to the gala was painfully awkward, but mainly because it seemed the usually sharp tongued Nancy Wheeler was at a loss for words.
Living well, really was the best revenge.
Nancy stepped out first and then she leaned into help Steve out of the car. He barely managed not to roll his eyes as he oozed out of the limo onto the red carpet.
He pulled his sunglasses out of his jacket pocket and put them on to shield against the flashing bulbs of the camera as they took picture after picture of Nancy and him arm and arm.
She waved to the crowd as he stood there looking pretty. Steve heard question after question about taking an escort instead of her husband. She just merely smiled and waved.
They got to the top of the stairs that led down to the ballroom without either of them saying a single word. To the reporters or each other.
“Steve...” Nancy said warningly. “Just remember what you’re here for.”
Steve looked over at her and smiled disarmingly. “To make you look good. I know. I am consummate professional, darling.”
She eyed up his outfit again. “Well that outfit reads professional slut.”
Steve kissed her cheek. “That’s because I am one and before you get uppity with me, princess, you’re the one that hired me.”
Nancy scowled.
He eyed her sidelong. “You know, for all your feminist brouhaha, you sure are anti-sex worker until you want to look good.”
Her jaw dropped. “I beg your pardon!”
“And if you keep going on like this,” Steve said menacingly. “I will put you on the black list and you’ll have actually drag poor Jonathan with you to these.”
Nancy went almost purple with rage, but before she could open her mouth, Steve whispered, “You may have bought me for the night, Nance, but I hold all the cards.”
Her color drained from her face and she nodded mutely. He patted her on the cheek and took a step down to the next step, forcing her to follow him or look awkward.
The rest of the night passed smoothly. Billy Hargrove, on the arm of some simpering female omega, avoided them like the plague. Which worked out for Steve, thank you very much.
Nancy had gone to the bathroom and Billy’s arm candy must have done the same because she was nowhere in sight.
Steve was by the buffet table trying not to gag about how long the food had been left out under this sweltering heat. But Nancy had told him to wait there, so waiting he was.
Billy was talking to Carol Perkins, his talk show host partner.
“I don’t know how you can stand it, Billy,” Carol was saying. “These escorts always smell too sweet to me. Like rotting fruit or some shit.”
Billy shrugged. “I happen to like it. Plus I like the fact that I can fuck them to oblivion and not get stuck with a bond or a pup for eighteen years.”
“You don’t want to settle down?” she asked and took a sip from her crystal wine glass.
Billy laughed. “Fuck no. I want to fuck around for as long as possible, no little housewife for this alpha.”
Carol hummed, but Steve could tell it was disapproving. As if she wasn’t the one that thrown Tommy off the second she found out he was infertile. It was why Tommy liked to hang off Billy’s arm. To throw it in his ex’s face that at least someone wanted him, even if it was just for sex.
Suddenly Nancy was pulling on Steve’s arm. “We’ve got to go. I’ve already talked to Vic and said our goodbyes.”
Steve bristled at that. He liked to personally say goodbye to the host. It was part of his charm.
“What’s the rush?” he hissed as she tugged on his arm and started pushing him toward the door.
“Jonathan texted me while I was in the bathroom,” she murmured, keeping her head down and her voice low.
“Is he all right?” he asked. Because holy shit, Jonathan never, Steve means never texts while Nancy is at an event with Steve. Steve is pretty sure he hates it as much as Steve does.
She pulled out her phone and showed it to him. “He just sent me this picture.”
Steve squinted at the ugly plastic rod before he realized what it was and what the double red line meant.
“He’s–” she put her hand over his mouth.
“Not here,” she hissed. “This place is filled with reporters. I want to be the one that announces it and not just read it in the morning edition.”
Steve nodded and followed her out, clutching his stomach as he complained about it hurting.
When they got out to the limo Nancy huffed.
“You didn’t have to do that,” she groused.
“That food looked disgusting,” Steve murmured. “I was doing the whole party a favor, doll.”
“Uh-huh,” she said crossing her arms, “and that totally had nothing to do with the fact you were throwing people off the scent on why we were leaving?”
Steve batted his eyelashes at her. “I don’t know what you mean, Nance.”
Nancy huffed again. “The hell you don’t.” She chewed on her lip for a moment. “Put me on your black list. Say I got you food poisoning and was a bitch and I’ll start bringing Jonathan to these things like a proper alpha should have been doing all along.”
Steve nodded. Even though it was only half true, it would be the right spin for both of them. Steve would never have to go out with her again, and Jonathan would get his alpha back.
“Deal.”
They shook on it and immediately as soon as he was out of the car, he called Robin.
“Bobbie,” he giggled, “you’ll never guess what happened tonight!”
*
Steve cackled with delight as he regaled Robin with the stories of his night, because of course she came over immediately after he called her.
“That is hilarious!” she agreed when he was done. “Jonathan must be over the moon.”
“I’m happy for them both,” Steve agreed. “That means no more awkward pseudo dates with a bitter ex.”
Robin slapped him lightly. “You’re more excited for that than that they’re having a pup.”
Steve shrugged. “Sorry, can’t be happy for something that’s never going to happen to me.”
She sighed. “Yeah, but aren’t you a little,” she held up her finger and her thumb really close together, “teeny tiny bit happy for them?”
He sighed back. “I don’t know, Robs. I guess I can be happy for him, but don’t make me pretend to be happy for her.”
Robin cocked her head to the side. “Yeah, that’s fair. Being happy for your ex is too much to ask for.”
He waved his hand at her. “Thank you! Jeez.”
“At least you’ll be plenty rested for the threesome tomorrow,” she added with a grin.
Steve threw the sofa pillow at her, causing her to laugh out loud so hard she fell to the floor with a thump.
Robin got back on the sofa still laughing hysterically.
“They’re nice enough, I guess,” Steve groused. “I’m not really looking for it to it, if I’m honest.”
She settled down to a fond smile. “What package did they ask for?”
“The housewife,” Steve said with an eye roll. “Which might be their only strike against them. but it is a rather large one. They could have had any play scenario and they chose the worst one.”
Robin smacked his shoulder. “Just because you prefer the Dom over the housewife doesn’t mean everyone does.”
“At least with the Dom,” Steve said, “I get to show up in that tight leather number and crack a whip. But with the housewife it’s all polos and khakis and fake smiles.”
Robin grimaced. “Like you care about the polos and khakis, you love that shit.”
Steve rolled his eyes.
“I love the clothes. I don’t love the attitude behind the clothes.”
“Ah.”
The attitude that a housewife is preppy and sweet. As opposed to a real housewife, frazzled in sweat clothes and grumpy as hell.
“It’s the most popular play option for a reason, Steve,” she said sternly.
Steve sighed dramatically. “I know it is. But I want something fun. International spies. Hookup at the bar. Strip club tease. Anything would be better than housewife.”
“But you love everything goes with the housewife play,” Robin pressed. “The cooking, the clothes; hell even the little apron so what’s got you so around the twist?”
Steve leapt to his feet and ran his hands through his hair. “Because I’ll never get to do it for real.”
Robin’s shoulders slumped. “Oh, Stevie.”
“Every time someone wants to buy my contract did you know it gets sent to me first?” he huffed.
Robin opened her mouth and the closed it. “Oh, well. Um...sort of?” she hedged. “I mean always assumed they were going somewhere else because there is no way you’ve only had two people offering to buy out your contract.”
“They only get sent to you if I think there is something to them,” Steve said, beginning to pace.
“Ah ha.”
“But the other five I’ve gotten have all been for concubine duties only,” he snarled. “Someone for the alpha to fuck when their omega is pregnant, nursing, or on vacation or some shit.”
Robin winced. “Those are barely even legal outside the US.”
“No one wants to buy an infertile omega to be their mate, Robs,” he said. “Nursemaid, concubine, slave. The glory of owning a Starcourt escort. The prestige. The privilege. Not because they love me or because they want to be with me.”
He sank to a crouch and buried his head in his hands. “All I wanted growing up was to be an escort, flying around the world, eating the best food, drinking the best alcohol, in the finest threads, but now that I have that, all I want is to be someone’s mate and housewife. How messed up is that?”
Robin approached him slowly and gently took his head her hands. “It’s called growing up, Stevie. It means your priorities shifted and that’s okay. You’re allowed to yearn for something you’ll never have. It’s part of the human condition.”
Steve launched himself at her and buried himself in her neck. Robin pulled him onto her lap and stroked his hair.
It would be a while before they got back to their show, but for now she just held her best friend as he wished for another life.

Post-CACW Stony: a fic rec list
I've been on a Captain America: Civil War kick lately, and since I know that Steve-friendly CW Stony fic can be hard to find, I've put together a rec list!
I am thoroughly team cap, but these range from being anti-accords to just not getting into the issue, and all are Steve-friendly as long as you can accept a lot little loving Steve-whump.
Atlas by nanasekei (@elcorhamletlive) (Not Rated, Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings, 11,505 words)
Summary: They don't hear each other.
Eigengrau by vorkosigan (@the-vorkosigan) (Teen And Up Audiences, 16,811 words)
Summary: Tony is captured; he doesn't know by whom, or why. He doesn't know how much time has passed since. What he knows is, he can now hear something in the adjacent cell, and that 'something' sounds a lot like Steve Rogers.
Nights When the Wolves Are Silent, and Only the Moon Howls by Cluegirl, Defiler_Wyrm (@cluegrrl) (Mature, Graphic Depictions Of Violence, 77,612 words)
Note: has a Stucky element too, but the relationship between Steve and Tony is the main focus.
Summary: “Could you drop all that stoic shit and be my freaking-the-hell-out wingman for just like, five seconds here?” Steve wasn’t sure he could think of anything he wanted less to do than to freak out about his wounds just then though, so he reached across his chest and gingerly patted Sam’s clenched knuckles. “It’ll be fine,” he promised, believing it. “Serum’s handled worse.” “You know, I actually believe you,” Sam allowed after a long second of glaring. “Which is deeply alarming, considering how much of your connective tissue I’ve touched in the last 4 hours. Now you wanna tell me what Russoff’s men did to you that made it look like you got mauled by a bear?” Steve flinched, then breathed the memory down to size. “Not a bear,” he murmured. “Wolves.”
More below the cut!
(trust me when i say) i'll get back to you by machi_kun (@machi-kun) (General Audiences, 1,549 words)
Summary: “Me and Rogers are not on speaking terms anymore.”
An Infinite Number Of Monkeys At Typewriters (Or, Steve and Tony Finally Get It Right) by JenTheSweetie (@jenthesweetie) (Mature, 18,864 words)
Summary: Tony blinked up at the face staring down at him. This was impossible. This was definitely 100% not possible, he had not just started giving a good morning handy to - “Steve?” After the events of Civil War, Tony and Steve wake up in bed next to each other in an alternate universe. It goes about as well as you'd expect it to.
And Miles to Go Before I Sleep by Cluegirl (@cluegrrl) (Mature, Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings, 152,765 words)
Summary: They all made mistakes. They all have regrets. They all have nightmares, suspicions, and questions they'd like to ask. And they all left business behind them that was never quite finished. This is the story of how the Avengers ask those questions, get their answers, and come together like fucking adults to make things right again.
Bring Him Home by seventymilestobabylon (@seventymilestobabylon) (Explicit, 13,769 words)
Summary: Tony misses Steve very badly after the Accords. Some days he deals with it better than other days. (a fic featuring the booty call flip phone, minor kidnappings, and time jumps between chapters because the election has been happening and my brain has been too mush to make a proper plot)
Conjugal Visits by xtricks (Explicit, 4,252 words)
Summary: AU: Steve Rogers gets captured fairly soon after Civil War and sent to the Raft. Tony discovers that trying to appease your enemies doesn’t work and ends up a prisoner too.
Down Came the Rain by captainoutoftime (@captain-outoftime) (Explicit, 75,274 words)
Summary: A mission goes badly for Natasha, who is discovered de-aged to three years old. She recognizes no one, but every kid knows Captain America. When Tony grudgingly makes a call, Steve makes good on his promise to answer. Steve has to work together with Tony to take care of a traumatized child and figure out how to turn their itsy bitsy spider back into a Black Widow. Neither of them really want to talk about what happened in Siberia, but living in close quarters, they have to come to some sort of peace - even if it means addressing some feelings they'd rather not admit to having. As they work together to solve the problem of a re-emerging Red Room, Steve uncovers something he never expected to find again: family.
Hating Steve Rogers by nanasekei (@elcorhamletlive) (Not Rated, Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings, 16,243 words)
Summary: The thing about hating Steve Rogers is that it shouldn’t be easy - but it really, really is.
I Have Questions by YourFadedGlory (HisNameWasAce) (@yourfadedglory) (Not Rated, 2,808 words)
Summary: There is only so much that Steve can carry. His legs quiver and his heart aches, he looks skyward, and in a startling moment of clarity he lets the shield go. Gouged and battered, it rings like a bell when it hits the stone floor. He wonders for a split moment if it will weigh on Tony the way it has weighed on him.
The Crying Game by fohatic (@fohatic) (Explicit, Creator Chose Not To Use Archive Warnings, 36,403 words)
Summary: Steve Rogers stared at the dimly glowing digital screen of the little burner phone, rereading the text message as if it might somehow give away something he missed the first dozen times he scrutinized it. His frown only deepened, though, brows drawing together with consternation as the 88 characters only left him with an even more ponderous sense of uncertainty. If you meant what you wrote, I'll be at the Swissotel Sarajevo, 4/18. Presidential Suite. 9pm. Come alone. ...Nearly a year after Steve and Tony's fallout—and only weeks after press rumors that Tony and Pepper's engagement was inexplicably called off—Steve gets a message on the dedicated burner phone. Despite his instinctive reservations, he's compelled to answer the mysterious call. An approximately canon-compliant story.
the hope that kills you by meidui (@meidui) (Mature, 1,227 words)
Summary: Steve used to go on so much about freedom and choice. If we sign this, we surrender our right to choose. Some of the freedom he loved was big, big enough for him to lay his life down for over and over, and some of the freedom he loved was small, like the wind in his hair when he took his motorcycle out, but now he has to sob and take it when Tony sucks a deep flowering bruise where his prison uniform couldn’t possibly cover and whispers in his ear, “Who’s gonna help you now? Where are you gonna run?”
live for the hope of it all by meidui (@meidui) (Mature, No Archive Warnings Apply, 1,880 words)
Note: This is a sequel to the hope that kills you
Summary: “You can keep me here, can’t you?” Steve asks a little desperately as Tony kneels over him, spreading himself out all the better for Tony to take. He must have really hated his cell on the Raft, Tony thinks before he loses himself in Steve’s body, and for a little while, everything is the same as it has been for the past six months. It’s only after, in the dark and quiet of his own bedroom with Steve sprawled sleepy and heavy across his chest that Tony realises— This is their cell now.
The Phone by AvengersNewB (@avengersnewb) (Mature, 9,039 words)
Summary: Tony hates the flip phone Steve sends him, but he keeps it close at all times, and it never rings until it finally does and the news might help put things into perspective - Captain America : Civil War fix-it. or The phone can't take the place of your smile. [podfic added as chapter 2]
the things we invent when we are scared by nanasekei (@elcorhamletlive) (Not Rated, 18,305 words)
Summary: Steve is trapped in a dream machine, programmed to make him believe he's living his happiest fantasy. Tony goes inside to wake him up, but what he finds is a lot more complicated than he expected.
there's nothing but blue skies by Meatball42 (Mature, Major Character Death, 647 words)
Summary: “This isn’t good,” Steve said grimly.

Hi Ro! I know I'm late to this party, but can I get B and F for Steve?
Thank you! 💜
Never too late, darling! This is tumblr, not a job 😁
This one got away with me. It got weirdly sappy for the categories asked, but I went with general Steve from no particular universe here, plus a nondescript part of the timeline or beyond, could even kinda be AU--if you squint--except Steve is definitely famous in some capacity and was small when young. (I just think he happens to look very cuff-able in this gif so we roll with it.)
These dirty asks from this game are aptly titled, so MINORS DNI.
B - Bondage
He can't exactly be tied up, not by anything commercially available, but Steve surprisingly likes the chance to sit still, take a backseat, and enjoy experiencing your enjoyment. He used to be so small. He assumed he'd never have the power he does now.
The restraints, as useless as they are, work as a calming tool to shut off his brain for a while. He's not responsible for anything. That's nice. Very freeing. The act of binding him is in itself roleplay; he's playing small and weak.
He's noticed something else, too.
Over the weeks and months you two have repeated this ritual of tying him up, and you both understand just how much it doesn't remotely hurt him, you've grown...more aggressive with the bonds. It's only when you're tying them--never an ounce of it in anything that follows--but he watches and realizes that you relieve frustration by pulling harder, knotting tighter, heaving around until their just so.
At this point, since Steve can do nothing else, he loves to see it. He's heard short and vague accounts from you, of shitty behavior, of innuendo, of back-handed compliments about how you do so well even with Steve. How his reputation must boost you. How you don't have to work so hard or be good because he'll carry you. How your accomplishments are all tied to him somehow.
It's not true, but they say it. They mean it. Steve can do nothing but let you physically yoke him down in your life, even for a few minutes. The weight it seems to lift from your shoulders is worth any momentary sting he might feel.
No. Steve doesn't mind the bonds at all. He even hates that you can't restrain him for real. He wishes he could give you that. Then people might see that you're just that powerful and you've always been that strong. He had nothing to do with it.
Okay, one sec, let me pull myself together here. YIKES.
IT BECAME ITS OWN FIC! [Entwined]
F - Food Play
[Fools Rush In Steve a.k.a. Sketch is notoriously anti-crumbs-in-the-bed, so he is 1000% not a part of this convo. Sorry, bub.]
YUP. Steve loves to feed you. It's a care thing. He always wants your opinion of all the food on the table, so you have to try everything. Here! Try this. The fork is already by your lips and he's smiling eagerly.
In the bedroom? Oh yes, he is very fond of licking sweet things off you and having them licked off him. It's one of the things that seems to tickle Steve the most--body and soul--and it's so playful. He even gets to lean into having a fast metabolism and needing calories after his workouts. If he drizzles honey or chocolate syrup on you, or hilariously fizzes too much whipped cream out of the canister he has not gotten the hang of yet, then that's a snack and a half. That's multitasking. That's just good time management, ya know?
Savory stuff is for meals and the table though. There's none of that that gets played with during sex. He's never outright said that's a rule, but it seems obvious when there's never been a crossover event.
Super random shout out to Steve having a bit of a thing for champagne and licking it off your neck after he deliberately splashes or pours it there. The bubbles tickle like hell and the cold is so shocking, but whatever, he loves it.
🙄
Thank you for asking!
Ack, I can feel in my bones that the bondage one might end up as a one shot. I am in so much trouble.

[squints at the MCU] Tony Stark has displayed more ability to weather interrogation and torture than Steve Rogers.
This is "(displayed more)(ability)," not "(displayed)(more ability)," to be clear.
(I know fiction’s depiction of torture is famously propagandafied, but in this case, it’s not about torture for information so much as physical traumas shown on screen.)
(Anyway, have a rant I did on discord the other day.)
It's not really so much about "resisted the urge to hand over information" as "survived a truly harrowing experience and still came out of it trying to do good."
Tony's very first movie involves getting repeatedly drowned while in constant pain from bomb injuries as a civilian contractor, and I… don't think I can remember anything even a little similar with Steve
I don't think he's ever been captured for long before breaking out? All his injuries are in active battle, not torture.
Like... Steve went through something horrible with the ice and losing Bucky, nobody can argue that. But I think it's very telling, sometimes, that movie Steve, especially 2012 movie Steve, is completely unaware of the absolute nightmare that Tony experienced in his solo movies.
I have so many feelings about Tony Stark being the epitome of "guy who was raised and manipulated into being a bad person by someone he trusted, and (after a horrible experience) attempts to be a better person, constantly and consistently, even if he sometimes fucks up in the execution."
And the way that some fics elide his experiences in cleaning up other people's messes (first Obadiah's, then Howard's) and how that doubtlessly compounded his many neuroses from fixing messes that he did actually create himself is just
I have a lot of feelings
And am also feeling a little bitter and salty about how Tony Stark's MCU incarnation reportedly took some inspo from Elon Musk... and a little petty and satisfied about just how drastically we've all be shown that Musk can never live up to the idea of 'billionaire with inherited wealth who actually, without hesitation, risks his own life to save millions' that he tried to use PR to achieve in the media with 'my electric cars are gonna save the world' stunts about things he didn't actually have a hand in inventing
I'm just reading some fics I really enjoyed when I was still in the YA fandom, and there was a reference to a line Steve said in the movies and I started thinking (again) about how frequently fans take lines from Steve or Sam about Tony as gospel, because they haven't seen Tony's movies, and the lines from the star spangled boys are contextually meant to show that they don't know jackshit about Tony or his life, because they are directly contradicted by multiple prior films.
Also like... how often Steve's traumas get explored (in fic) in a way that Tony's just... don't? At most, his issues about Howard get explored, but that's it.
There's this moment in CACW that people take as Accurate and it infuriates me.
Tony Stark: [Back in the cell.] Just look. Because that is the fellow who was supposed to interrogate Barnes. [He shows a holographic image of Doctor Broussard.] Clearly, I made a mistake. Sam, I was wrong. Sam Wilson: That's a first.
Which, like... it's a bad movie. Obviously. But also
That line is immediately followed by Tony revealing that he's here to help the others and is sabotaging the security to make sure Ross can't take advantage, and yet fanfic still uses Sam's quote to promote anti-Tony agendas!
And 'Tony admits he fucked up' is. Like. Listen to me
Tony's first solo movie is fixing Obadiah's machinations. *
His second solo movie is fixing his Dad's fuckup.
His first team movie is fixing Thor's mistakes.
His third solo movie is fixing something that is only tangentially his fault.
It's not until AoU that the fuck-up is really his and his alone (well, not counting Bruce), and even then, even then, a massive portion of the blame is narratively laid at Wanda's feet!
And only then do we get this man, who has spent five movies seeing what happens when people don't take responsibility for their actions, or have anyone riding them to be ethical, who has criticized himself for neither having that oversight nor providing that oversight for people who snuck shit under his nose, that is when we get Tony weighing in on the side of "most countries on the planet are agreeing with this and it's for a reason, please work with me here, maybe we can get some of it rolled back to be less authoritarian and more reasonable."
* and removing himself from the military industrial complex he was raised and groomed to be in, but that's a system and not an individual act or a set 'villain'
Or as @firebirdeternal put it:
I would say that his first solo movie does have a large element of fixing his own mistakes too, it's just that his "mistake" was Trusting the Wrong Person and not taking personal responsibility for how his actions are affecting the world. (Which, he immediately does upon coming back from being captured? "We're going to immediately stop making weapons, because it's making the world worse" and then when Obadiah cuts him out of the company he goes "Oh. Okay no that didn't work, have to personally fix all this then.") and yeah it's just Tony have plenty of reasons to be on the side of "Someone needs to have oversight over this"
IM1 is such a good exploration of someone in privilege saying "this stops now" in a situation where they do have control because they have been confronted with their mistakes in a way that's unavoidable
It's also like, a great example of the fantasy of the Super Hero. Because Tony Stark, the businessman, even with all his wealth and knowledge, isn't able to stop the systemic harm being caused by His Own Company. One person isn't able to do that, even with the best of intentions. It isn't until he becomes something else, something more, a Super Hero, that he's able to make any kind of meaningful change on his own. Like IM1 is just a phenomenal movie. It understood it's subject material so incredibly well.
And people skip it and then take Steve and Sam at their word about Tony's strength of character and moral convictions and I scream.
THIS MAN FLEW A NUKE INTO A WORMHOLE WITH THE FULL EXPECTATION THAT HE WAS GOING TO DIE
Yeah, like, that Jump on the Grenade mentality is something that he and Steve actually literally share.
They both had 'jump on the explosive to save people' moments in their introductory movies.
I find so much more strength and inspiration in stories like Thor and Tony, where they are inherently fuck-ups and were shitty people and they are trying so damn hard to be better, which is more Tony than Thor really, but both of them and their first movies are just. I find that more inspiring than Steve or T'Challa or any other hero who was already a good person and just Became Great.
Tell me about the person who has to struggle to find that moral choice. Tell me about Natasha dragging herself from her oceans of blood and Tony fighting the government over whether they have the rights to use weapons he's created and about Thor having to reckon with his family's power being born of imperialistic ravaging of other cultures.
I want to hear about the people for whom being good is hard and a choice they don't have to make, but then they make it anyway.
Also I stand by "I am Iron Man. [infinity snap]" being the most amazing bookend the MCU could have done and probably the best part of the Endgame.

So, had an idea for a fic. Ranted about it. Never gonna write it. Had a breakdown. Made a moodboard. Here ya go. 👍🏻
Mob Son Steve!
Who's father wishes he was better at it. His heart is too big.
And retired Mob Man wayne, raising Eddie. The mob family he belonged too was wiped out, Eddie's dad was leader, but he got everyone killed pretty much, so Wayne took Eddie and never looked back. Moved to a new city and opened a mechanic garage. Eddie fixes cars like he was born to. He takes after Wayne so maybe he was. And of course, Steve is sentimental about his car, his mom left it to him in her will. But it's old. Breaks down a lot. So he takes it to Munson's Garage. And meets Eddie.
Mob Boy Steve is still a bit of an asshole. But it fades fast, especially once he really starts talking to Eddie. And then mentions him to Robin one day and she's like,
"who's this now what's ahppening???"
Because Steve's face is a goddamn open book and he looks... mushy!
His assholishness is his shield. Because if he isn't an asshole, and hardened, the other guys would tear him apart. But can you imagine, his combed back hair and nice suits.
And Eddie is ALWAYS a mess. And Steve literally just wants Eddie to fucking grab him and ruin all his nice clothes and just make HIM a mess too. And like, it's only partly sexual, this grabbing, he just wants to be able to touch Eddie. And to be able to be dirty and not perfect and put together all the time.
Maybe Nancy works the front desk for the Munsons on weekends and Robin comes in with Steve once cuz she's with him when the car breaks down and her and Nancy meet and Wayne comes back from lunch to see Nancy and Robin all smiley at each other, and Eddie is fucking smiling at the ground and tucking some hair behind his ear as Steve laughs at something he'd said and Wayne's just like,
".... am I running some kind of fucking mob dating garage?" To himself of course, but what the fuck???? Why are there multiple Mob Babies in his shop??? Flirting with his NON mob babies!!!
~°~
Lets say he's definitely still a big ol flirt in this. But Robin always knows when he's flirting for info, and to be formal, and to like.. please his father and "the family" and when he's flirting for real. Cuz he's quiet and sweet when he's being real. And he gets just as flustered as who he's flirting with. And Robin has never seen him more flustered than when he's talking to Eddie.
And Eddie, bless his little anti social, awkward self, genuinely, for the most part, has no idea Steve is flirting with him. He just think he's interested in how Eddie is fixing his car. Thinks maybe he's trying to learn a little bit at least, so he can try and keep her together on his own.
And THAT makes Eddie a little flustered, because most people just want their shit done so they can leave. But Eddie thinks he wants to learn so he tells him stuff. About his car, and then also about cars in general. He's a fountain of car facts and Steve, bless his heart, drinks them up like he's fucking desperate to drown.
And he actually does retain a lot of the info, does actually get a bit interested in the work after he fixes a breakdown on his own once, the radiator needed water and Eddie showed him how to so that on his own in case it happened again cuz Eddie didn't have the part to fix it right then. Had to order it. But Steve remembered, and got it fixed and made it home on his own. And the grease on his hands made him feel like he actually did something of value.
So he listens more closely when Eddie talks after that, always leaning into his space cuz he does have trouble hearing. He loses a lot of fights. But you have to fight where he's from or you just get killed. So he leans close, both he and Eddie getting flustered by the closeness, but he likes it there, next to Eddie.
Because Eddie explains things, looks at Steve, and if he seems confused still, he'll explain it a different way. He'd done that 4 times one day for Steve. He'd been tired, and unfocused, and just a little lost. And Eddie just kept talking until it clicked, and Steve's eyes lit up, and he waved his hands all excited and was like,
"oh oh ok! It's like when- yeah yeah yeah!!"
And Eddie gave him this huge beautiful smile as he nodded and moved on. And Steve was... not used to that. He wasn't used to anyone smiling after he got all excited like that either, but he tried not to think about THAT too much. He was already much too red in the face from Eddie's smile to be thinking about that.
Anyway. Like we said, Wayne would definitely try to keep them apart at first. Intercepting when Steve came by. Grabbing the keys from Eddie and meeting Steve out front when his car was done.
But one day, Steve shows up covered in blood. His own blood, his face all bruised and battered like someone had used him as a punching bag. He shouldn't have been driving, probably, but he'd made it. Wayne and Eddie had watched his car roll slowly into the lot, watched it stop. Wayne's arm out in front of Eddie stopping him as he tired to move toward the door, a small smile on his lips.
And then Steve opened the door, pulled himself out of the car, and almost fell into the dirt. Eddie was around Wayne in a second, breathing out a worried,
"Steve." as he shoved through the door.
He catches Steve easily, and Steve just leans into his chest, lets Eddie hold him there. Eddie almost crying trying to ask him what happened. Steve just mumbles,
"You should see the other guy." and gives a bloody smile before he sways on his feet, his eyes rolling back.
Eddie has him half way to the door when Wayne slides under Steve's other arm, helping Eddie get him inside, into the back building, which is technically their house. Eddie guides them to the bed in the living room, they set him down gently. Wayne watches Eddie push Steve's blood stained hair off his face, tears slowly dripping down his cheeks as he looks at Steve, and heads for the door. Eddie's on his feet next to him in a second.
"Don't hurt the car. It was his mom's. She's... she's gone." Eddie whispers it.
But those words tell Wayne the parts of the story he was missing. When you're in the business Steve's in, a dead mother isn't something you talk about with just anyone. It's also in that moment he realizes he's maybe not as good at keeping tabs on Eddie as he thought he was. He just gives Eddie's shoulder a squeeze and says,
"I won't hurt it. But we can't leave it out front. If anyone's after him they'll know he's here soon as they see it. I'll take it to the back lot. Move some stuff in front it. Cover it up". Eddie nods enthusiastically and Wayne nods back, once, before he gets to work.
He comes back to find Steve sitting up, his back agaisnt the wall, his jacket and waistcoat in a pile on the floor. Eddie's between his knees wiping at the blood on his face. Grimacing in unison with Steve everytime he hits a sore spot. He's got a bowl next to him on the floor, full of water. The water is red now. Wayne leans down, takes the bowl, and then gently takes the rag from Eddie's shaking hands.
"Lemme change this. Get a new rag. You sit with him. Make sure he doesn't fall alseep." Eddie's on the cot next to Steve immediately. His hand in his hair again, Steve turns slowly to look at Eddie, his lips a small smile though the two splits in them have to be stinging.
"Are you okay?" Eddie manages to not sound too choked up, his fingers reaching for Steve's face and then pulling back multiple times. Steve huffs a laugh and grabs Eddie's hand, drops them both to his thigh as he nods once.
"I will be. Sorry for makin a mess in your place." His voice is strained, from one of his many injuries, Wayne sets a new bowl of water in Eddie's lap as he says it, and Eddie's not sure which of them he's talking to, maybe both. Wayne dismisses him with a wave, tells Eddie he's gonna go back out front and watch the shop. Steve manages to mumble something about Robin before he sags into Eddie's side again. Wayne nods, says,
"I'll keep an eye out for her."
She shows up with Nancy when she arrives for her shift, both of them looking nervous. Her and Nancy both force themselves to stay calm as they walk to the back, both of them running as soon as their out of sight of the front window.
They find Eddie still sitting on the cot, Steve's head is in his lap now. He's awake, but just staring across the room. Eddie's fingers are in his hair. Robin hugs Eddie the best she can, thanking him for taking care of Steve. Eddie can tell she wants to hug Steve too, but doesn't know where to touch him. She settles down by his legs, Nancy squeezing in next to her. And they all just stay with him.
He stays there for a while.
Once Wayne finds out what happened, Steve tells them when he's back up on his feet. His father basically gave up on him ever being part of the family, "the right way". And had sent his little lapdog Billy to "deal with him"
Robin had shown up just in time. Done something dumb to distracte everyone, like set a fire. And her and Steve had both bolted. Going in different directions to lessen the chance of being caught. Robin had run to Nancy. Steve to Eddie.
They're a little predictable, Wayne thinks, but then again, he's not sure either of them have anyone else besides each other. And no one shows up to get Steve. So he thinks they're probably okay. For awhile. But he does know one thing.
If anyone lays their hands on that boy again, they'll have to deal with Wayne. And Wayne's got a past so drenched in blood it turns his stomach to think about. And he'd put it behind him. Raised up a good boy, for his sister. But he's got another boy now, and two girls as well, and he'd be damned if anyone was gonna hurt them. He watches Eddie and Steve making lunch, just pb&j's for everyone, but they're laughing, and bumping into each other and Wayne watches his boys and thinks, just fucking let them 'em try.

I'm a little sensitive because I got into another car accident (I am okay. It wasn't bad, but considering I almost died in a much worse wreck, it did bring up some very unhappy feelings in me), but I absolutely hate the way this fandom talks about the car crash scene between Steve and Billy. They're completely insensitive and cruel about it, and I was much more sensitive about it then than I am now because that episode aired like a year after my own wreck.
But stick with me.
The scene itself was set up to make the "heroes" look cool and badass, but it doesn't actually feel heroic. At all. There's this season long failure to recognize and respect that there's a person trapped inside the possessed body the heroes are fighting, and as such they don't care what happens to that body. They would not have acted the way they did with Billy if it had been one of their friends that got flayed. So, that in itself makes everything feel less heroic. It actually makes me feel worse about these characters that I am "supposed" to love.
...but add onto that, people portray Steve slamming into Billy's car with a car that has no value to him as this "triumph over evil" scene. Worse, there are Anti posts with hundreds of notes either praising him or saying he should have finished the job. That doesn't vibe with the set up of the scene, and it treats Billy as the villain because it was his body in that car. The fandom also strives to portray Steve as someone who wouldn't hesitate to murder someone, as if he had the opportunity to really think about it before crashing into Billy. That's not the reality of it.
Billy would have never wanted to intentionally crash his car or seriously use it as a weapon. He may drive recklessly and he may have joked about hitting a few kids once, but that doesn't mean he wanted to hurt anyone especially while he was possessed. There's ample evidence that he didn't want to do any of it. He said The Mindflayer made him do bad things (kill people) which obviously traumatized him, and then there was ample evidence that he continued to fight against the possession.
The car was one of the few things Billy had that represented his freedom away from his abusive home, and that gets totalled in a scene that fans get downright gleeful about and for what? What does it really say about their favorite characters or even about Billy? Billy sat there in the car revving his engine with his lights on, crying. The Mindflayer took everything from him. This was just one more thing. What's so triumphant or heroic about any of it? As soon as the cars collided, The Mindflayer had full control again and Billy was marching towards his death.
Not only that, but the scene of Billy passed out in his car in flames just screams tragedy to me. I know how painful a car wreck can be physically and emotionally. I couldn't move on my own after my wreck without excruciating pain, so I know how much his body was screaming at him to stop even though The Mindflayer wouldn't let him. It's an extremely upsetting, tragic scene to me because I know he's feeling everything while having control over very little. That's what car accidents feel like. You don't have control, and it feels horrible.
I just can't comprehend why that scene in particular is the height of fun entertainment for so many when it's so painful to me, and maybe it's because I take it more personally but maybe it's also because Billy isn't treated like a person who deserved better than the horrific amount of torture and pain he went through.

Help, i fell down a Marvel rabbit hole.
So the Endgame dilemma with Steve's decision had me thinking about other 'happy places' for Bucky and of course there's the obvious with Sam after TFWS but can we just for a minute think about Bucky maybe refreshing something nice from his time in recovery in Wakanda?
I found not a lot of fics but the thought of Bucky getting back there and kinda warming up with M'Baku again? This pairing just has something to me, especially with the whole grumpy but secretly subby White Wolf meets sarcastic domineering great Gorilla M'Baku...
Why would I help, lmao? I'm at the bottom of a very similar hole. The more the marrier! Welcome to the trash pile 💀💀
All good options, all good options, but I will say, anon, I welcome you to fully embrace the exhilarating option of: completely ignoring the events of Endgame.
As captivating as the idea of subby white wolf and domineering gorilla M'Baku is 😮💨... as much as I love all the ship content that has come out of Sebastian's and Mackie's banter as Bucky and Sam... I am weak for stucky. It's 🤌🏻everything about them🤌🏻 The childhood best friends to lovers, the wartime sweethearts, the going against the whole world for each other, the dying for each other, the living for each other.
Okay, so I'm laying my cards fully on the table to say that I hate Endgame, explaining why I like to ignore it. And with that being said, here are some anti-Endgame (some of them also straight up anti-steggy/anti-peggy) related metas that I find thought-provoking that I think you might, too. They're just to kick around the idea if you're interested in a different perspective that comes from what I see as deeper in the fandom (idk how true that is,though, lol)--something you might not have come across yet if you're new to this rabbit hole. Obviously, you don't have to read these, though! And I'm not saying you can't ship sambucky or Bucky x M'Baku. You're totally welcome to! I see the appeal myself 👀
Anyway, here:
Bucky's insecurities
No mourning of Steve
Secrets between Steve & Peggy
Endgame destroying Steve's character
More character destruction
Steve choosing Bucky
More stucky devotion
I'd rather Steve die
The no-homo-ing of gay ships in Hollywood
Steve and loyalty
Steve, the shield, Bucky, and Peggy
Steve's ending doesn't make sense (essay)
The Bucky Steve leaves behind
The look on Bucky's face
Uhh... I may have gotten carried away with the links. Listen, I just feel strongly, okay 💀💀
If you do find any good M'Baku and Bucky fics, feel free to send them my way 👀

Eyebrows (S/teddie)
I had to get this little scenario out of my head, so here's just over 2K of S/teve plucking E/ddie's eyebrows until it makes him sneeze 💗
~~~~~
Content:
M/M, established relationship, both S/teve and E/ddie have the fetish, E/ddie gets off to his own sneezing, sneezing induced by eyebrow tweezing, mentions of allergy sneezing, sneezing in someone's hand, some nose rubbing, brief over the pants hand job, teasing, I guess fetish 'dirty talk' lol
CW: tiny little bit of misogyny / gender stereotyping (they're young men and in the 1980s, so)
~~~~~~
NSFW, minors please DNI!
“This is stupid.”
“Yeah, man, I heard you the first fifty times, already.”
Eddie huffed, squirming where he sat on the edge of Steve’s bed. Steve was in front of him, cradling his chin in his palm and forcing him to look up. His boyfriend stood awkwardly, angled so that the sunlight from the window wasn’t entirely obscured by his body as he worked. Eddie felt fucking ridiculous with one hand holding back his bangs, giving Steve easier access to his brows. He eyed the tweezers in his boyfriend’s right hand warily.
“Do you really need to do this? What’s wrong with my brows? Don’t you think I’m handsome?”
Steve rolled his eyes at him.
“You’re overreacting. Your eyebrows are fine – and yeah, you’re handsome. I’m just – leveling you up a little bit?”
Eddie scoffed in response.
“I think you’re being vain. I think you care too much about appearances.”
Steve chuckled, and Eddie nearly jerked his chin away in irritation.
“Sorry, sorry. It’s just – funny. That you would accuse me of being obsessed with appearance when your whole thing is anti-conformity. You care a lot, just in a different way. You don’t not care, is what I mean.”
Steve ended on a clarification, watching as Eddie narrowed his eyes at him.
“I never said ‘obsessed’. And not dressing like a conformist douchebag isn’t the same as plucking my eyebrows like a chick.”
“I pluck my eyebrows. You like my eyebrows. Am I a chick?”
“No. Stop putting words in my mouth.”
“Then stop squirming and let me do this. You’re dragging it out like a baby. It won’t hurt. All that much, anyway.”
Eddie hesitated. He honestly hadn’t even considered the potential pain, having been too focused on the principal.
“I would like your eyebrows in their natural state, for the record.” He mumbled as Steve loomed closer.
“Thank you. Now shut up. If you hate it we never do this again, okay?”
“I already hate it.”
“Eddie.”
“Fine, fucking fine. Just hurry up so we can do something halfway interesting.”
It was Steve’s turn to scoff, rolling his eyes in the face of his boyfriend’s sulkiness.
“Pizza and sex can wait, dude.”
"Who are you??”
“Quiet.” Steve muttered, ever so slightly tightening his grip on Eddie’s chin and leaning forward with the tweezers. “You’re so dramatic, you geek.”
Eddie didn’t offer any kind of retort in response – Steve noticed he had started to cringe away and close his eyes as the tweezers drew closer.
“I promise it doesn’t hurt much, babe. I’ll be quick about it - honest.”
“Hm.”
Eddie didn’t open his eyes, but he didn’t move away. Steve took a moment to admire the way his dark lashes fanned delicately over his cheeks, then closed the tweezers around the first stray hair he could find. He yanked fast and hard. When Eddie hissed and jerked a little in response, Steve gently rubbed the pad of one finger over the pinkening skin.
“Sorry, honey. Not too bad, huh?”
“Ow, mother fucker. That sucks.”
“It doesn’t feel great, I know. But the faster I go, easier it’ll be.”
Eddie opened his eyes and looked at Steve. His boyfriend was smiling encouragingly down at him. He was stupidly attractive, irritatingly so – Eddie thought this was the dumbest shit ever, but he was a fucking fool for Steve, and knew he would continue to acquiesce even as he fought it every step of the way.
“Don’t you like my eyebrows?” He asked, feeling like a pathetic broken record as Steve closed the tweezers round another hair.
“Of course I do! I just want to see what they look like a little more – manscaped. You ready?”
Eddie gritted his teeth and tensed in preparation.
“Yeah. Hit me.”
This hair felt even worse as it was yanked away – a cruel prickling sensation that rippled outwards from the source and through his scrunched-up face.
“Fucking shit, Stevie!”
“Sorry, fuck. I’m gonna go faster and get this over with, yeah?”
“Ugh, fine.”
“I’ll make it up to you. I’ll suck your dick for hours.”
Eddie huffed out a little laugh, wincing as Steve readied the tweezers again.
“You don’t have to repay me in sexual favours, Harrington. Besides, that would be a double win for you.”
“Asshole!” Steve laughed, and Eddie grinned for all of one second before another hair was yanked free.
“Fucking christ, that shit sucks.”
The sensation was more than just a sharp little spike of pain; it made his face itchy, bringing tears to his eyes and putting a tickle in nose. He sniffled and squeezed his eyes shut tight. Reaching up with his free hand to scrub under his nostrils, he started to mash his nose around more violently once he found the sensation continued to linger. His wrist bumped into Steve’s hand, still cupping his chin.
“You okay?”
“Yeah, it just – is it supposed to, like – tickle?” He sniffled, feeling his nostrils dampen in response to the mischievous itch and manhandling both.
“Oh, um…Yeah. That can happen.”
Eddie looked up at Steve, taking in the sheepish expression on his face. He blinked at him before narrowing his eyes in suspicion. Steve seemed to squirm under the scrutinization.
“…Does it happen to you?”
“Um. Sometimes. But I’m pretty used to it.”
Eddie continued to peer up at Steve, and Steve continued to squirm.
“…Does it ever make you sneeze?”
Steve’s eyelashes fluttered a little. His nervous, guilty reaction said it all, and Eddie’s jeans instantly felt far too tight.
“Sometimes.” Steve flashed him a little crooked smile, and Eddie swore under his breath.
“Harrington, you dirty dog.” He was smirking now. “If you wanted me to sneeze for you, honey, there are plenty of easier, less vapid ways to get there.”
Steve raised an eyebrow at him – perfectly sculpted, to his credit – and secured the tweezers again. The nervousness was gone from him, replaced with a determination that made Eddie’s cock twitch happily in his underwear. He looked up at Steve with a dumb grin. Perhaps he could get behind this bullshit now, savouring this delicious new morsel of information. He’d happily watch or even help Steve the next time he was fixing his own brows.
“You’re right - there are plenty of other ways, and you’d jump at the chance no matter what. This wasn't intentional, Munson. Either way, you’re not much of a challenge.”
“So first you hate my eyebrows, now you’re calling me easy?”
“Oh my god, shut up.” Steve smirked down at him. Eddie smirked back. “Will you let me get this over with now? Pizza and sex at the end of the tunnel, remember?”
Eddie nodded, locking eyes with him.
“Sex first, pizza later.”
“Deal.” Steve closed the tweezers around another hair.
“Don’t go slow, Stevie. I really think if you go faster, I’m gonna – Oww, mother fucking shit fuck!”
Steve just laughed at him, squeezing his chin securely and starting on another hair. He certainly had picked up the pace now, and Eddie winced again as several more hairs were plucked away in cruel succession.
The bizarre combination of sharp pain and aggravating itchiness was taking hold in earnest as Steve worked. Eddie was definitely going to sneeze – he could feel it building, an incredibly irritating swell of sensation. It was almost unbearable, sort of how his nose might have protested had he stuck his face right into a bouquet of flowers and inhaled as deeply as possible. But it was less sharp than the tickles that pollen would induce, somehow – the buildup was simultaneously agonising and strangely pleasant. He sniffled, nostrils beginning to twitch and flare.
“Mm, fuck. Gonna s-sneeze soon, Stevie.”
“Mff. Okay.”
Eddie smiled even as his eyes slipped shut and his mouth started to fall open in preparation. Steve sounded breathless already, something he allowed himself to take a great deal of pride in having caused. Who wasn’t much of a challenge now?!
Steve yanked another hair out along the underside and middle of Eddie’s right brow, the most painful removal yet. It brought genuine tears to his eyes, but it was the final push he needed. That buzzing, tickling sensation began to crest, forcing his eyebrows upwards and sucking a desperate breath into his lungs. He lingered for just a moment on the precipice of release, the tickle unbelievable as the post-plucking waves of irritation turned the centre of his face into a miasma of itchiness.
Steve’s grip on his chin had loosened a little to accommodate his slackening jaw. Quickly, Eddie dropped the hand that had been holding back his fringe to Steve’s wrist, urging his palm in front of his nose and mouth. Steve complied immediately, releasing his chin and holding his hand out expectantly to catch the oncoming release.
One final, desperate gasp, expression cinching tight, and then Eddie was crumpling forward, nose bumping into the skin of Steve’s palm as he sneezed vigorously into it.
“Hh-!! EhH’NGXt’Tsieww!! IHG’TChieww! Hh’DZZztschiew! ESHHh’ieww!! IGSHHHhh’uu!!”
Ohh, they had felt amazing. He had only a moment of luxuriating in the relief of them before he felt Steve rubbing with the tips of his fingers on the flexing arch of his nostrils. He was ticklish enough that the motions urged the irritation to swell anew - he lurched forward again within seconds, this fit even more cleansing and violent.
“-!! HDDdDzz’TCHieww!! EhDDT’TSchieww!! Hh! Hih’TSCHhh’iew!-TSSCCHhh! HaAHGT’TSschhh! GXXT’Tshiewww!...Hh-H-HH!! HAAH’GITSCHh’iewww!! Ohh my god. Shit.”
“Ohh, baby. Bless you so much.”
Eddie sniffled, peering up at Steve and rubbing his damp nose into the protective cradle of his boyfriend's hand.
“Thank you, honey. They felt really good.”
“Fuck, Eds. You’re so hot.”
“Mm. You too, Stevie.” Eddie murmured, taking in the sight of Steve’s obvious erection practically straining against his tight Levi's. The sight almost made him drool. He wanted that cock in his mouth five minutes ago. He wanted to reach out and squeeze it through the material, watch a wet patch form as Steve leaked in desperation. He did just that, listening to Steve moan, ragged and surprisingly loud. He grinned and huffed a satisfied little ‘hah’ as Steve started to buck against his hand, gripping his wrist and fucking into his tight embrace.
The strangled groan of frustration Steve couldn’t curtail as Eddie yanked his hand away mere moments later made him giggle. Steve was so responsive, got just as worked up as Eddie did for him. It was intoxicating, how much they got each other going. It was a high unlike any other drug he’d ventured to try.
“Eddie, please!”
Steve started unzipping his pants, one handed, open hand searching for Eddie’s wrist to draw him back and finish what he started.
“Not yet, Stevie.”
Steve groaned and lunged for him, attempting to push him backwards on the bed and plant a kiss on his mouth. He was semi-successful, managing to tilt Eddie backwards just so, wedging a leg between Eddie’s thighs and pressing up against his own erection, which throbbed in response. The resistance made him lean back at once, searching Eddie’s face wordlessly for an explanation. Eddie smiled at him, then humoured him with a response.
“You’ve only finished my right side, yeah? Can’t leave a man with uneven brows, now.”
Steve blinked at him in surprise, before his expression slipped into a giddy look of recognition. He scrambled around on the floor, locating the tweezers he had unceremoniously dropped when Eddie had started to sneeze.
“You sure?” He asked, panting and wild-eyed as he resumed his position in front of Eddie. Eddie smiled, holding his bangs back out of the way. He sniffled, partly because he needed to and partly because he wanted Steve to follow the motions of his nostrils as they flared. He flared them again, just for a moment, getting off on being a tease.
“Absolutely. Can’t be looking lopsided. And besides, those sneezes felt so good, and I’ve still got such a tickle in my nose, Stevie. Help me get it out?”
“You’re not real,” Steve breathed out, reaching out to steady his boyfriend by the chin again. “This isn’t real – I’m gonna wake up in two minutes with spunk-stained underwear.”
“Oh, I’m very real, honey. This tickle is very real too. Don’t leave me hanging. I want to sneeze.” Eddie murmured, every word loaded with sensuality. It worked him up just to hear his own voice, knowing it was turning Steve to jelly before him.
“Okay. Okay,” Steve sighed, securing the tweezers back in place.

Well Met By Moonlight Part 3
Hi!! So I can't link to part 2 (well I can, but that whole section remains lost) at the moment because the damn post is broke and can't be edited and according the belabored staff it was an issue for a lot of people that posted during that seven hour window when the tags were down last Thursday. So they have a shit ton of help tickets to wade through, though they have assured me they are looking into it.
But as soon as they have it figured out I will link back to the original post, until then I'll link the fixed reposted version for now and apologize profusely for the fuck up.
I have the whole back story plotted out for what happened and why, I'm just not sure where the story is going to go to get to those reveals. However this means you get enjoy the ride with me.
So without further ado, Steve gets his man vampire.
Part 1 Part 2
***
Steve turned to Robin. “Telling you to leave, too isn’t going to work, is it?” he asked with a sigh.
She grinned at him. “Nope!”
He turned to Eddie who had been watching the whole interaction with a curious tilt to his head. Steve thought he looked like a puppy like that. Big brown eyes, adorable head tilt, the hair being a stand-in for floppy ears...
Puppy.
He was also one hundred percent sure that Eddie would have been offended by the comparison.
“What’s got you smiling like that, sweetheart?” Eddie asked.
“You,” Steve replied truthfully.
Robin faked retching. “Oh my god, I’m going to gag on the absolute sap oozing off the both of you.”
Steve blushed, but Eddie wagged his eyebrows suggestively.
“That’s it,” Robin said, throwing her arms in the air. “I’m out of here. Steve, don’t die. Eddie, you hurt my best friend and not even all the vampires in the coven and all the wolves in this pack would be able to stop me from ripping you to pieces, do you understand?”
Eddie smiled with just his lips, his eyes crinkling with mirth. “I read you loud and clear.”
Robin nodded and then marched back into the trees.
Suddenly Steve could feel the importance of it just being the two of them.
He cleared his throat and scratched his cheek nervously. “I wanted to thank you for the rescue. I was so sure I was going to die that night.”
Eddie grinned, shoving his hands into the pockets of his leather jacket. “I’m glad Uncle Wayne sent me.”
Steve felt his insides turn cold. “Oh. You only came to my rescue because Wayne sent you?”
Eddie cocked his head to the side thoughtfully as he took in the question. “Sweetheart, I think you misunderstand something. Rescuing you was an obligation to the pack leader, loyalty to my uncle and maker, and a sign of my love and devotion for you. I don’t need to have a single reason. I’m allowed multiple reasons for doing something.” He wagged his eyebrows suggestively. “For doing you.”
Steve snorted, but the ice was beginning to melt in his gut. Eddie took a step closer and then another when Steve didn’t flinch or take a step back. Soon they were inches from each other.
“I am worried,” Eddie murmured gently. “What kind of trouble a turned vampire and a werewolf alpha would cause in a town that is already balanced on the edge of a knife.”
Steve nodded, carefully taking Eddie’s face into his hands. “I’m worried too. But I think we’re going to need band together not just turned vampires like you and your uncle and my pack, but the coven, too. What happened to me was just the tip of the iceberg and the new sheriff seems shockingly anti-supernatural.”
Eddie pursed his lips and nodded. “God, do you know how much I’ve wanted to stand here with you like this? To have you see me?”
Steve brought their foreheads together. “I did see you, Eds. I did. But I wasn’t the alpha then and you were a mere mortal.”
Eddie squeezed his eyes shut and let out a shuddering breath. “It’s why I asked Wayne to change me, you know. Because if Hopper was afraid of him then made if he made me, Hopper would have to let me near you.”
“Oh, darling...” Steve murmured. “I wish you didn’t have to do that, but I don’t think your uncle would have appreciated me turning you into a werewolf, so...”
Eddie threw back his head a laugh. “Oh god! The look on his face would have been priceless. I almost wish I had waited until I was twenty-one to ask, just for that reason.”
Steve smiled. “Yes, but then it would have been Wayne that rescued me and I wouldn’t gotten to see how sexy you are when you chase your prey.”
Eddie’s face transformed under the feral grin that spread over his features. “You get a little hot and bothered watching me defend you, baby?”
Steve bit his bottom lip and shook his head.
“No?” Eddie asked tilting his head to side, still grinning from ear to ear.
“Yeah...” Steve said, dragging the word out slowly. “To say I was a little hot and bothered would be a little like calling a tornado a gentle breeze.”
Eddie laughed and turned his head away, pulling gently out of Steve’s hands. He looked back at Steve who now shared his dopey grin. “And people in this town call me the menace.”
Steve laughed too. “I just get to hide my weirdness under the guise of being a werewolf.”
“I’d really like to kiss you now,” Eddie murmured.
Steve stepped into his space, their chests nearly touching. “I was wondering when you were going ask.”
Eddie chuckled and tangled his hands into Steve’s hair, drawing their faces close. Their lips were a literal breath away when Eddie stopped, just taking in the mingling of their air as they were already panting.
Steve closed the remaining distance and finally, finally they were kissing. It lit every nerve ending in Steve’s body up like a firework. He never knew kissing could feel like this. He gripped the back of Eddie’s leather jacket and held on for dear life.
“Wow.” Eddie felt like he had been forced to run the mile in gym. He couldn’t breath, his heart was beating erratically, and every muscle burned. It was amazing. He dived back in and kissed Steve again. He couldn’t get enough.
Steve had never felt like this in his life. It was deep and sensual and everything he had been told growing up that love should be. And now he was standing on the edge of precipice waiting for that last gust of wind to knock him over the cliff and into Eddie’s strong arms.
“Fuck, Eds,” he breathed when they stopped for breath. “You smell, taste, and feel amazing. God, I don’t want to stop.”
Eddie let out a growl, deep from his throat. “I know, baby. I know. But if we don’t your entire pack is going to get an eyeful.”
Steve chuckled. “Nudity isn’t a problem with packs. All the shifting makes it hard on clothes.”
Eddie’s growl turned into groan. “You can’t just say shit like that when my dick is that hard. It’s gone soft thinking about seeing Murray or Hopper naked.”
Steve laugh startled out of him. “Yeah, I could see that having an effect. I do know a place we could be alone if you wanted.”
Eddie smiled. “I like the way you think, sweetheart.”
Steve let out an ear piercing whistle and a large black, shaggy wolf came running up through the tree line. The wolf sat down and wagged its tail happily.
Steve laughed. “I figured it would be you. You’re on sentry duty until I get back at dawn. I’m going to Skull Rock.”
“You got it, alpha,” the black wolf said his voice thick with a barely contained giggle.
Steve knelt down and they hugged each other with their necks, allowing their scents to mingle.
“I’m glad you’re still the alpha,” the wolf whispered.
Steve stood up. “I will protect this pack with everything in my power. I promise you that.”
The wolf nodded solemnly.
Steve turned to Eddie. “Come on. I’ll race you to Skull Rock.”
Eddie raised an eyebrow, but before he retort, Steve had shifted and was sprinting in the direction of the local landmark.
The wolf let out a breathy laugh that only wolves could make. “You better start flapping those wings, lover boy. Otherwise Steve will beat you.”
Eddie shook his head and took flight, transforming as he leapt into the air.
*
Eddie managed to barely pull out a win by tackling Steve right before the rock out cropping and rolled to the finish line.
Steve ended up on top of the vampire fully human with bright laugh bubbling from his lips. “You cheated.”
Eddie grinned. “Of course I did. It’s the only way to win, babe.”
“It’s a good thing you’re so cute.”
Eddie hummed, his hands roaming over Steve’s bare skin, calloused fingers catching on the smooth expanse.
“Feels good,” Steve murmured, nosing Eddie’s throat.
Eddie’s hands continued their trek down his back, to cup his ass. “You feel amazing, sweetheart. How did I get so lucky?”
Steve gasped, grinding down into Eddie’s hips. “I’m the lucky one. I never thought I would find someone who gets me the way you do.”
Eddie huffed out a laugh. “You werewolves go fast, don’t you?”
“We have to,” Steve murmured. “We might live longer than humans, but we don’t live nearly as long as you vampires do. If we don’t move fast we might lose a chance to breed and that would hurt the pack in the long run.”
Eddie’s expression softened. “I’m sorry, babe. I wasn’t thinking when I said that. Are you going to have to breed with someone as the alpha?”
Steve buried his head deeper into Eddie’s neck. “I don’t want to. I want the Harrington line to die with me. But as the alpha I might have to.”
Eddie’s hands went back to roaming over Steve’s skin, this time to comfort. “What made you decide to go for the alpha position after Hopper was declared dead?”
Steve raised his head. “Because I looked at the other options and knew that if I didn’t, the pack would be stuck in the old ways and people like Carver would kill us all.” He gave Eddie a peck on the lips. “Would you want to be in a pack under Ted Wheeler or Murray Bauman?”
“Wait,” Eddie said raising both eyebrows in surprise, “those were your two options ultra-conservative Ted Wheeler or super conspiracy nut Murray Bauman?”
Steve nodded. “Yeah. It was insane.”
“What about Derek Sinclair or oh...” Eddie’s brain finally caught up to his mouth. “Oh shit. It was literally you or the old guard, wasn’t it?”
“Yeah,” Steve said. “And then when Joyce got supplanted by Nancy as alpha female, her and Murray conspired to bring Hopper back so that things could go back to the way things were before.”
“That’s messed up,” Eddie said. “Could you banish them for that?”
Steve sighed, rolling off Eddie to lie next to him on the ground. “I’ve thought about it a lot, I won’t lie. But I worry how Jonathan and Will are going to react to their own mother getting banished. Would I end up having to banish them too? Could I split up a family like that? Would they willingly go with her?”
“That’s a lot to think about,” Eddie agreed, rolling over on his side and propping his head up by his elbow. “Especially for someone so young.”
“I’m not a fan of Billy Hargrove, the racist, homophobic asshole that he is,” Steve said, “but he is the reason I tried for the alpha role in the first place. If he could take over the coven at the young age of eighteen, then I could take over the pack at the tender age of nineteen.”
“Wayne told me that the amount of supe on supe violence has gone down since you took over,” Eddie said. “The coven respects the pack and the pack respects the coven.”
Steve nodded. “I still wouldn’t mind having outside voices from the pack. The echo chamber has gotten so loud that we get bullshit like the pack tearing apart a vampire that wandered into the encampment instead of helping him or accepting his help, in the case of you rescuing me.”
Eddie nodded. “It’s that suspicion that breeds contempt and allows people like Jason Carver to stir up the town against its supernatural founders.”
Steve sighed. “I worry about the undercurrent of distrust that’s been building for god knows how long.”
“Let me help you forget about it for awhile, baby,” Eddie murmured.
A shiver ran down Steve’s spine in anticipation. “Yes, please.”
Eddie leaned for a kiss and then pulled Steve back over on him.

Yes, everyone, Billy is in this and while he still is all the things that made him repugnant, Steve still respects him. But we'll get more into that at later date.

what misconception? 👀
I assume this is about the Civil War post I made and oh boy, so many. So, so many. Let me preface this by saying I actually like Civil War enough as a movie. Not as a Captain America movie, but it's engaging and I enjoyed it for the most part. I mostly dislike the dogshit opinions about it. To prevent this from turning into a dissertation, I'll just list the ones that come to mind first/irritate me the most:
"Steve was completely against regulation and oversight" WRONG. He was against the vagueness of it all. He explicitly says that he wants to know whose going to be holding his leash if he has to have one. In fact, he was about to sign the Accords before Tony told him about them preemptively enforcing it and detaining Wanda. Steve was willing to consider the Accords, Steve was trying to discuss the Accords, Steve was on the path to being open to the Accords before the moral failings of it were already shining through. Steve, rightfully so, is distrustful at this point of anonymous authority. Following the news that Hydra had their nasty paws in SHIELD and other high positions in government, Steve decides that he wants to know more about the people who have authority over him. Seems reasonable enough.
"Steve was only against the Accords for Bucky" WRONG. 1) Before he was certain that Bucky was being framed, he says that he has the best chance of bringing him in to minimize damage. Then, when he was certain Bucky was innocent, it became a matter of not letting his bestie be falsely imprisoned and/or killed on the spot. 2) Lemme just add that yes, Bucky is extremely important to Steve, but Steve would have still been against the Accords if Bucky wasn't a factor. I need people to understand this. It wasn't just a "oh no I need to save my best friend". 3) If you read what was in the Accords, you'd understand why Steve would generally be against them. They're abhorrent.
"Steve didn't read the Accords/Steve didn't even attempt to communicate or compromise." I haaaaattttteeee this one with a burning passion. Did we watch the same movie? He's quite literally the only one on screen we see even look at that long ass document. Probably also the only one would could even manage to read the thing since it was sprung up on them 3 days before the meeting (which is a whole 'nother issue for later. For now, I'll just say I support the Ross conspiracy theory). He also tried to tell Tony & Co. before the airport fight that Zemo was the one behind all this conflict, that Bucky is innocent and about the 5 other ultra-dangerous super-soldiers who, as far as he knew, were about to be unleashed onto the world which would be disastrous. Unfortunately, Team IM was wracked with tension and didn't listen and attacked.
"Steve and Bucky jumped Tony (+ variants of this statement)." This is one that confused me so much. Such a bullshit take. I am begging people to rewatch CW and watch the fight. Tony, whose emotions is dialed to a thousand (and not only because of the Bucky thing mind you, but I can talk about that a lot more later because I like talking about Tony's emotional/mental state during Civil War) attacked first, then tries to kill Bucky, Steve tries to get Tony to stop killing Bucky, Tony is trying not to kill Steve, Bucky is trying to get Tony not to kill Steve or him. It's a mess. Mind you, Steve isn't even trying to excessively harm Tony in this scene. It's confirmed that during the entire fight, he was trying to disable the suit. Not trying to beat Tony to a pulp - DISABLE. THE. SUIT. Which he manage to do in the midst of that shitshow.
"*insert any anti-CW Wanda take*" Please, someone please tell me why people think Wanda has any blame for what happened Lagos? Wanda quite literally didn't CAUSE that. I need to understand this point of view before I get an aneurysm. She didn't make the bomb, bring the bomb, set the bomb off. It was Rumlow who had that bomb that would have ended up killing way more people on the ground than where Wanda managed to put it. She absolutely was as much of a hero as she could be in that instance, trying to redirect the bomb away from civilians. Unfortunately, it still ended it casualties, but a lot less than it would have been if Wanda hadn't intervened.
I could go on and on, but I'll stop here. Fanon CACW quite literally has some of the worst fan comprehension I've seen in the MCU. I imagine that a lot of it is not understanding characters, the movie not elaborating on important plot points in an effort to make it 50/50 (which they failed at lol), and the fandom being a lot more conservative than I thought. I can expand further on anything if you want!

do you think it will be a problem re: byler sex with the show being set in 1987 and not 1989? (I hope there’s at least an epilogue). Like 1987 is a huge time skip as it is, so I’m glad the skip isn’t longer, and byler is 100% old enough, but I can still see the fandom getting weird about it and the duffers not wanting to touch it for that reason…
Nope! Not to rational, well-adjusted people at least and that's all who I care about. Certain parts of the fandom at large in fan spaces would still get mad if they jumped to 1995 and the boys were graduated college as full adults. I truly think the issue isn't fully the underage thing. There's so much television about high school romance. I think it's repression and homophobia and anti-sex in general. I think the non-perpetually online watchers of the show (the non-bigots at least) wouldn't have an issue tbh. It's the younger crowd who lives on apps. I think a well adjusted GA watcher wouldn't flinch at a well done story arc where these two high schoolers end up having some sort of sex. Am I being highly optimistic? Maybe. All I can be anymore.
Will and Mike will be older than Nancy was in 1 in season 5. There is literally no reason to be upset about any heated make-out or simulated act or sex scene with Byler at this point. Nancy had sex with Steve in season one and it was tasteful and realistic and part of the plot. Against Byler having that storyline portrayed? It's just homophobia. I can't see another reason anymore. An individual having personal discomfort with sex in general isn't anyone else's problem. They don't get to decide whats acceptable or allowed in media. You can easily look away or not watch. Figure it out. I don't think the Duffers really care about the wiles of fandom people on social media who are deeply entrenched in purity culture or individualistic agendas like that. Other factors? Sad, but not impossible. But it won't be fandom appeasing for a minority opinion, honestly.
I do think those loud, anti voices are dying down a bit though, to be honest. I think the stormy waters are calming. I think post season 5 will be a much different fandom. And if not - yall. Don't let those same people step all over us this time. Ignore and acknowledge they're the weird ones for being so specifically pressed about the subject. For real.
