The tf fandom needs to bring back squick as a term instead of accusing someone else of baseless accusations that derive from fictional content they enjoy. It’s okay to not like certain contents/themes/genres but dear lord, this is a franchise about metallic alien life forms who transform into vehicles/objects/animals. The possibilities with exploring various aspects that are both unique to the fandom or even implied in the content of the media shouldn’t be off limits because it personally makes you uncomfortable.

What’s especially ironic is that multiple tf creators have indulged in taboo content or ships these people don’t like, but they’re the exception to the rule I suppose.

We’re going to ignore how James Robert played into the joke that he’s a “gore and torture fetishist”, or Alex Milne making art of “abusive pairings” in Hot Motor Oil?

This is a franchise embroiled in weird shit, don’t be surprised if you see it pop up a lot. Just save yourself the mental stress and block and scroll.

i already knew this but franzdom has really invaded my brain 😭 last night i had a dream that franz ferdinand released a new music video which i saw as it aired for the first time on some sort of bbc version of rage (even though i don’t have access to bbc channels . because i’m not british). alex kapranos announced they were showing the music video for [song name i’ve forgotten, it was from the human fear but i’ve forgotten whether it was a real song irl or not], & when it started and i realised it was a video we hadn’t seen before, i thought something along the lines of “hey @fox-of-a-dying-atheist was right in that post!”

the video itself started out with these weird ai generated monkeys playing in a band. i was a bit miffed they were ai and also was thinking that it was JUST like the robbie williams movie which made me laugh a bit. then it like zoomed out so some non-ai animated monkeys were watching the ai ones on tv and talking. there were four monkeys, each implied to represent one of the original lineup of the band and talking with their voices. then a pic of like 19 year old alex kapranos flashed onscreen?? and alex started talking about the band. then he was talking about how he’s forgiven nick and stuff and THEN he kept going on and on about how much nick meant to him. i was flabbergasted and kept going “i must be dreaming or something this can’t be real they wouldn’t release this.” but i’d check repeatedly and it was REAL (obviously in REAL life it was a dream but i didn’t know then ofc lol). there was a brief moment when nick appeared onscreen and started to respond in a genuine way and alex pretended he’d been joking for a moment (but then it was made clear he was not joking). and he just KEPT GOING. he quite literally said he LOVED nick. at that point i was so shocked and amazed that i immediately went to tumblr to go “HAS ANYONE ELSE SEEN THE NEW MUSIC VIDEO??? WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?”, and i think i also messaged @dear-space-cadet going like “have you seen this?!” … 2 mutual cameos in this dream lol. probably more in the background of my freaking out on tumblr in the dream.

anyway that was my insane franz dream hope you liked it 👍

Hello everyone 👋🏾 just wanna say a few things real quick. First, my names Evie. I’ve been writing since I was a child, it’s basically my therapy.

I will eventually organize this blog but as y’all (omg there are 10 of y’all, hi!!!) can see it’s really just starting out so it’s very chaotic.

I have lots of ideas but very little time so I feel like if I do put out fics they might come a little slow (this does not apply to Richette rn because I’m hyper fixated on them) but I have plans and ideas that I hope to bring to fruition this year.

I’m not on Twitter or Insta but I do have an A03 account and when I make a master list (coming this weekend maybe) it will of course be linked. I also definitely plan to go back through my first two fics and link stuff while doing some clean up (this weekend for sure).

My inbox will usually always be open, request are welcomed but might not always get gotten to.

I’m very into black girls being loved on and the center of attention. I will most likely only write for black women 🤷🏾‍♀️
