alright so here's the funniest AND stupidest story i have of all time: so i got called out. when i was 14. lmao
QUICK TLDR FOR THOSE WHO DONT WANNA READ THIS MESS THOUGH; i was called out for stealing icons when i was 14 even tho i drew hundreds of my own icons & had a long art credit list for the ones i did not draw.
anyway heres the whole story:
so bare in mind the account was for a character who had like. they had a lot of canon appearances but the media source didn't have a lot of amazing content to make icons with.
sooooooo i drew the VAST majority of my own icons (like i still do now), and any artwork that WASN'T mine, i had a HUGE art credit page that was linked in every promo & my bio (similarly to how i credit artists in my tags now instead; i try and ask people before i use their art now though), and again i was 14 this was 2014 so most of the RPC was just using icons with uncredited artwork so at least i was doing the bare minimum & most people RPed this character also used the artwork i made and/or cropped for this character and just also linked to my art directory page
so now that that background is out of the way. someone who i knew didn't like me very much (which was fine, but for what reason was unclear at the time and i still Dont Know to this day) made a callout post & accussed me of stealing another roleplayers icons HADHSDAjk
i basically responded with like. "i drew a lot of these myself & my icon borders have my own URL in them, i have an art credit page too, you can ask the other RPers for the zip file i sent them on skype if you want to see the raw crops w/o editing ? :( :(" & they took the callout down like half an hour later. bcuz. obviously it wasn't true and i think they were looking for a reason to not like me. also at the time i was 14 and this person was 21 lol so they were beefing with me as a sad 14 year old HDKJHSD

its just like. see this is why i say i dont like schlatt and that i dont like his fans much either because like. i just cant trust people who laugh at offensive humor or think the "oo do i actually hate minorities or not" type of bit is funny. its apart of why i try so hard to not be parasocial or attached to many of these ccs because sure maybe they arent actually bigots im sure a good chunk of them probably do only take interest in schlatts jokes that like. arent in the same vein as ugh women type shit. but i mean. dream and schlatt are two of tommys biggest idols and see where that got him, yknow?
i cant help but be wary of anyone who thinks that the people who laugh at shitty jokes are completely innocent and dont need to be confronted just because they dont make the jokes themselves. it just leads to people thinking oh ok i wont actually be held accountable people will still defend me and give me attention even if i dont properly address it and the people who do confront me will be told off for being rude and disrespectful. cool good to know

I don't trust "documented evidence" as well, unless it's like in an official website or whatever. it's the mfing internet and people can edit or create fake messages or fake victims. hell, even with the new ai thingy they can create fake videos and pics. who gets to say these are real or not? I am saying this as a victim of fake callout posts who never got believed.
Modern cancel culture and the ability to just throw accusations around and be believed blindly have honestly ruined actual internet safety, accountability and being able to protect yourself and others from both false accusations and real dangerous people.
Its why I take issue with statements like "believe victims no matter what" and "support accusations until they're proven fake."
People have gone to jail for forty years and been proven innocent.
People have been murdered and their accusers have come forward to reveal they made the accusations up.
People have killed themselves over false accusations.
False accusations and blind witch hunting can ruin a person's life for literal decades.
It has absolutely nothing to do with proship vs antiship culture, even though the latter culture is in part what has exacerbated my stance. It has everything to do with the fact that practically weekly there's new news headlines about people milking a dead celebrity's estate with easily disproven claims, or bitter teenagers faking screenshots and falling over themselves to get internet sympathy because their boyfriend broke up with them.
I will always give victims a certain amount of benefit of doubt, but what I won't do is blindly launch a brigade against someone based on claims with no proof or flimsy proof with more holes in it than a festival tent.

There are things I say to my partner in the privacy of our living room when I’m blowing off steam that I would never in my life say to friends or other family members or bosses or work colleagues or fellow community members. I do this not because I’m two-faced but because I’m human. I get frustrated, but I’m also a grownup who realizes that my frustrations and fears in that moment are not the entirety of who I am. I have a right to express them, but I do not have the right to inflict them on the people who would be hurt by them. That’s why those conversations happen in private, in a safe space of trust, where my relationship allows me to show my partner parts of me that aren’t perfect and allows my partner to show me that I don’t have to be perfect in order to deserve to be cared about. I get support through my petty moments until I can be a better person.
This latest attack on Build is a horrifying violation of privacy and trust that leaves me feeling literally nauseated. I once again reiterate that I don’t trust third-hand amateur fan translation to be accurate and contextual, particularly given the provenance of the material, but Build himself is apparently distressed enough by at least some part of the material to make a public apology. So, that being out there, I will say: This was a private matter that should have stayed private, out of respect for everyone involved. Whatever was actually said is nobody’s business except Build’s and now, unfortunately, any named individuals who this was inflicted on and who may have been hurt by it. Which, rest assured, was the intention - to hurt not only Build with this, but also, particularly, Apo and Bible, both of whom Poi has shown her dislike of and ill-will toward in the past. I suspect some people also don’t know how abuse works, and it shows, given that what was purportedly said is a reflection of Poi’s own views back at her.
Whatever the context, I see that purity cancel culture still insists on freezing people in amber in their worst moments - without recognition of any capacity for change or growth - as long as it provides ammunition for a smug, gleeful Particicution. You’re stuck on some unkind things Build supposedly said more than a year ago? Let me tell you what I’ll remember for the rest of my life: The small, broken sound of Build’s voice just a few months ago as he tried to protect Bible and Bible’s career from a sociopath, in a telephone call that he felt he needed to secretly record as evidence of how he was being manipulated and abused.
Meanwhile, I see that swathes of KP fandom continue to be complicit in Poi’s campaign of public and dehumanizing abuse of him, which now includes not only borderline revenge porn, but separating him from his friends and isolating him. This is what abuse looks like. It’s happening in front of your eyes. Do you even care? Do you actually, legitimately care about abuse, or is it just a tool for you to use to win petty shipwars and make yourself feel righteous? Because here it is. Take a good look. This is a textbook play. And if you’re participating in reposting those screenshots of private conversations and mocking Build’s relationships and spreading vituperative language about him and acting like he deserves to have his life and career destroyed, you’re enabling an abuser. You are aiding and abetting her, as the very scenario she threatened him with - in order to maintain access to him, to keep him under control and compliant - continues to get spun out. YOU are a bully and a hypocrite and an abuser, helping to prove that the most dangerous time for an abuse victim is when they leave.
But I guess some victims do have to be perfect, huh?
.
(ETA: 7/18/23, 1520 - This post is being linked on Twitter by @cherryluminary with my permission. I'm not over there, but I increasingly feel like it's important to name what's happened, and continues to happen, to Build online as what it is - abuse. Similar to to my last post that breached containment, I'm going to ask people to remember that the behavior of Build's fans reflects on him - however fair that may or may not be - and should remain above reproach. I understand being angry - I'm angry, and at more people than I've discussed publicly, at this point. But if I find out you've been descending anywhere near the level of the ugly little sociopath in my inbox who openly admitted they want Build to kill himself, I'll block you.)

DFF is such great show and I enjoy the portrayal of the characters and the plot. Although I am not much into JinPhee ship (even though their scene was hot) - meaning I won't actively search fics of them;-D. But I absolutely don't understand the hate this ship gets. Or Jin character gets? Like, did I miss something? Why there is so much hate towards this pairing? I don't get it. Or do they dislike Jin character so much?
So I think there are 3 main reasons that people hate PheeJin and specifically Jin as much as they do, and I'll see if I can explain it coherently below lmao
First is cultural differences.
I've noticed that by and large a lot of the hatred directed at Jin comes from international fans being extremely harsh, and I think it's partially because they don't understand some of the nuance of Thai culture. Which to be fair, why would they?
One aspect is that they get angry that Jin lied to the police without taking into account that the police are corrupt - both in the narrative and also in Thailand in general.
Another is they get mad at Jin for recording Non - which to be fair, really does suck lmao. But they make it about Jin recording Non instead of reporting the assault happening, without taking into consideration that the age of consent in Thailand is 15, which means that what happened with Non and Keng isn't technically statuatory rape. Still bad and awful and Non was coerced and assaulted, don't get me wrong - but that makes it slightly less clear cut IMO when it comes to the question of Jin seeing Non "cheating."
You can even see within the show that the reactions to that video are by and large slut-shaming and not "omg that kid was assaulted."
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So to recap: Taking the video = bad. But I think people get a bit too self-righteous about the reasons why Jin took it.
Second is purity/cancel culture.
I'm sure it hasn't escaped your notice that in the internet age, if you make one mistake you're a terrible, irredeemable person and should be canceled forever. I think that's playing a part in this. All of the characters make mistakes, and because of that they're all irredeemable pieces of shit who deserve to die. Except for Non who is just a victim and has never done anything wrong (sarcasm).
In seriousness, I think that's part of it. And the fact that Non is SO sympathetic it kind of overrides people's sympathies for the other characters. I'm not 100% sure why people hate Jin the most out of everyone else considering he's the one who has tried to help Non the most out of the friend group... I guess they just have higher standards for people who try to help? Idk. Either way it seems to me that they expect Jin to be a perfectly-well-adjusted little hero who always does what's right and never makes mistakes. Instead of what he really is: a kid.
And last is fan favorites/shipping.
A big part of the reason that PheeJin shippers are getting so much hate is because TaCode shippers and PheeNon shippers have decided their ship is The Ship of the series, and think that Phee is just using Jin for revenge and anyone who genuinely ships PJ is fucked up, etc.
It's just ship war bullshit waged by largely Barcode stans, but it's certainly tiresome.
To be clear, I have nothing against PheeNon. I am of the opinion that Phee and Non were a cute high school romance that wouldn't have lasted because they had conflicting styles of showing affection and love (I'll write a post about it someday lol) but that doesn't mean I hate the ship. I thought they were very cute and it was fun to see TaCode on screen since I wrote MacauChay in my KPTS days ahahaha I just like the spice and fire of PheeJin better, and Jin is my favorite character.
I just wish that PheeNon shippers would live and let live instead of acting like they're waging some moral war. They were even crying in BOC's comment section on IG today after they posted the PheeJin poster for episode 9 saying "nooooo Phee is there for revenge he can't really have feelings for Jin!" It's exhausting... 🫠
General disclaimer: if you don't like Jin or like PheeNon better I'm not saying any of the above things applies to you. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, I'm just dissecting some of the over-the-top hate I've seen/experienced in fandom spaces lately.

What’s your stance on the Ashton hate right now?
ok so i've gotten a few asks abt this now and i will concede and answer this one because i love the insinuation here that I can have a stance like I'm a politician or smthn <3 thank u for voting and for this platform <3
I'm also going to take the opportunity to say this is entirely my stance, not what i think everyone should believe or i think is the "right" perspective or blah blah yada yada disclaimer disclaimer. no one come at me saying I'm forcing my beliefs on you. you catch my drift. if you disagree with me, that's your prerogative and i frankly just don't care very much.
that being said <3 lock in for a jessay <3
if we're being entirely honest, I think people in the modern age - especially twitter users - actively seek out reasons to be upset. they crave drama like bees crave honey. especially when it comes to ashton tbh. the man can't breathe right without people claiming he's being problematic so I don't put a lot of stock in general in anyone's opinions of him but my own, especially bc I'm in fandom for my own enjoyment, not for anyone else's !! so it doesn't much matter to me what they think of him. i don't value their opinions!
if you'll notice, fandom is a lot about curating your own special little bubble and here on tumblr, literally no one is talking shit about ashton that i follow. it's literally just on twitter that I've seen any hate because twitter is a cesspool filled with chronically online social justice warrior bullshit :) and there's a reason I'm not on there often.
i think hate like this is just point-blank stupid because, as I've said before and I will say again, cancel culture is fucking fake ! it is literally not real and it is invented by people who have miserable sad little lives and want to self-impose their issues and hypocritical views onto others to pretend that they're doing good in the world when, in reality, they're making it that much worse!!
now, don't get me wrong, i really don't mind someone saying to their fave, "hey, this thing you said was hurtful for X reason, maybe you could consider that in the future :)" but I've already seen people saying ashton should kill himself sdfghjk so ! i don't care much for any opinion they have because they undermine their own arguments by telling people to spread kindness by spreading cruelty. it's frankly moronically hypocritical and embarrasses me every time i go online and see it.
as for the actual reason ashton's getting hate right now, i don't personally think it's as big a deal as people pretend it is. and this is getting into my own personal perspectives of things and please feel free to disagree with me on this because i know it's a Hot Take, but i can believe and support victims while simultaneously thinking that anonymous twitter allegations are mostly bullshit.
all allegations against All Time Low were entirely anonymous from a twitter user with no evidence/support/timeline (and, yeah, a random user said there were "97 allegations" but when people asked where she got that number from, she literally admitted she made it up and deactivated her account. but that didn't stop people from just fucking running with the number) and when ATL threatened to press charges for defamation, all of a sudden this anon user disappeared with no further comment. but twitter went wild - as it often does - and completely exaggerated all the actual information given.
twitter spreads misinformation like a disease. that's just the truth. and im certainly not saying all allegations that originate on twitter are fake because they aren't but i am saying that people online need to support victims at the same time that they actually start thinking critically about things. twitter acts like it's "guilty until proven innocent" instead of the other way around.
that being said, i don't personally support ATL because i didn't listen to their music before so this doesn't affect me and - if there is the chance they're abusers, i don't really want to listen to them. But that doesn't mean i tell people to turn them off if they like them or something, or tell them to stop being fans. because it doesn't affect me and i, frankly, just don't care. people need to learn that supporting the artist and supporting the art are two totally different things. you can listen to a song you like without knowing every allegation the artist has ever faced. also, if we stopped listening to every song made by a problematic artist, I'm afraid there would be very little music left.
that's where this brings me to the fact that people are throwing around insane accusations like that ashton supports rapists which is a fucking insane thing to say about a) people who arent even confirmed/charged rapists and b) over the fact he literally just played a song by them? he was DJ-ing for an emo/pop punk night? people would have been shocked if he hadn't played All Time Low??
also, I'm sorry but are you going to boycott every single person and establishment that plays one of the biggest pop-punk bands ever?? if you walk into a store and hear it playing All Time Low, will you never shop there again?? where is the line drawn?
and finally, the whole thing pisses me off because people use it as an excuse to say that they stand with victims and that ashton is actively harming victims by playing All Time Low when, I'm sorry, but no the fuck he's not ?? and, in my opinion, this is actually does MORE harm to victims than it does good? it's all just performative crap to make yourself look "woke".
and, excuse me, but what have you actually done to genuinely fucking support victims other than tell some random rich man who you don't fucking know that he should kill himself for DJing at an emo night?? using all this time to "cancel" Ashton Irwin's privileged cishet male ass could have been spent actually raising awareness about rape or helping actual real life fucking people in your community? this level of vitriol doesn't help anyone. it's pathetic.
this is just my real problem with the internet in general is that people act like hate inspires kindness and education when it does the exact opposite.
so, that being said, i just think the hate against ashton is small-minded and embarrassing. it doesn't mean anything at all. and I'm going to keep enjoying tumblr where people aren't pathetically insane (they're funny insane) and we can just learn how to fucking enjoy things because the world is too ugly right now to not find beauty in SOMETHING, goddammit! i am in fandom to have fun. not listen to people bitch and moan about their uninformed, damaging views of what social justice is.
and i will also spend my time in my real life genuinely supporting victims of assault and abuse instead of just pretending i do on fucking fandom social media.

On the show FOUND...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I just watched this show and I have thoughts. It's a typical procedural, -TV junk food in the same comfort space as 9-1-1 or the Equalizer (new thing to solve every ep while progressing the characters' stories), but it has some curves... The premise is this guy kidnapped the lead as a girl (no SA, but *definite* grooming) and she escapes, but now keeps him chained in the basement (unbeknownst to everyone else) to help solve her cases so she can rescue other abduction victims. Yeah. Very clearly purposefully dipping in that toxic and fucked up "darkfic" ish loosely inspired by Silence of the Lambs. Seriously... that kidnapper dude is called "Sir". That definitely raises an eyebrow in today's purity culture-heavy era and it's another anti-procedural procedural (like the Equalizer) in that it veers off and subverts the typical cops as heroes and often marginalized people as "villains"), both the pilot and the latest ep spotlight the fact of cops neglect of certain kinds of disappeared people (black girls and sex workers). It's a risk... that seems to have paid off in the short-run, as it's Peaock's biggest debut since it's launch. EVERYONE in the main cast is BIPOC (including one character w/ a mental disability and another who is also part of the alphabet crew) except for Kelli Williams (so far) from the 2000's show, The Practice, whom I've missed seeing... and Brett Dalton.
As an aside, I am fascinated by a good chunk of Mark-Paul Gosselaar's recent roles. I just wonder what kinds of things white-presenting multi-/biracial folks see, hear, and experience from people who presume they are white. -And I wonder if his earliest experiences playing Zach Morris (as a child and being required to dye his hair blonde to better pass) has influenced his adult choices to be in media with non-white leads. Seriously, The Pitch, Mixedish, The Passage, and this-, Found... He did say he almost quit acting after they canceled The Pitch, he was so attached to that show. I want some entertainment reporter of color to really talk to him about it. I also love that a dark-skinned woman gets to lead this and have the "desire" drama, and be purposefully painted as attractive while strong. That's Shanola Hampton of Shameless. Too often it's a certain kind of "SBW" box that does not allow for black women, especially of a certain age and skintone, to be seen as anything beyond respected, intelligent survivors, and leaders.
And if there's any kind of desire or attraction entangled in that (which is becoming more frequent) it gets picked apart and *she* does often too... even at times by other black women; see: the lashing Olivia Pope got and Shonda for writing her, despite that being the genre (I have my theories on why that is, i.e. some black women are stuck in internalized black church misogyny/purity...but I digress). All this to say, this Hannibal/Clarice thing with a twist is interesting... but it's a hard line to walk, especially these days and especially in this comfort food procedural space. But I'm intrigued by the gumption.

I am so sorry to come to you with this but I am honestly lost and you are the closest reference I have about Noel Fielding, I am a BIG fan of Noel, have been for years, and with the Russell stuff comming up I have started getting a bunch of Tik Toks and some post about Noel also being a predator and dating minors, this is hugelly distressing for me as I have a deep an fixated Interest (I am hoping you undestand how that is) Do you know anything about this? Do any of the acusations hold water? I am so scared and worried, he has been a confort for me in very hard times and I must admit I am finding all of this very difficult to navegante
I have had to take a few days to digest all this information myself and I can't and won't tell anyone the right or wrong way to feel about this but I will say, here is where I am at...
I believe the victims of assault, whomever they accuse.
I have not seen any accusations of misconduct against Noel specifically, I have only seen his questionable relationship with Peaches Geldof resurface. This transpired over a decade ago.
I believe that people are capable of change and growth.
I believe that people who make mistakes should be held accountable for their mistakes.
I believe that Noel has had more than one friend who was and still is inappropriate with women, I am not under the impression Noel is that person any longer. I have no idea the extent of his knowledge of the inappropriate behaviour of the others.
Some might try to say OF COURSE he knew, but I had a friend in a band with a VERY BAD person and the whole band had ZERO idea because MOST people like that go to extensive lengths to hide their bad behaviour.
I can't comment on Russell at this time, I have not watched the expose myself but again, my instinct is to believe the victims first. I am disappointed to say the bare minimum.
I have also been recently disappointed with Richard Ayoade throwing his support for someone who is anti-trans. I understand some feel they can separate a person from their morality, but I struggle with that the older I get.
I want everyone to know that their complex feelings on this matter are valid. I am not a big subscriber to the concept of cancel culture, but I am a big proponent of accepting and owning responsibility and accountability and knowing that it is possible to love someone while also recognizing and not excusing their lesser behaviours.
We can talk more on this as things unfold, everyone is welcome to come into this post or inbox and share how they feel, all the feelings are valid and I don't want to see a single person attacking another for feeling differently. Everyone is going to have a myriad of feelings regarding this no matter what happens from this point on and even if we disagree, we should RESPECT.
At this time, the time of me penning this reply, I believe that Noel is a decent person. I think he's a grown man, partner and father and has moved away from a lot of the debauchery of his past, including his times with Russell. I think it's possible that as a 'friend' he turned a blind eye to things and may have even engaged in some inappropriate relationships in the past, but I don't believe that is who he is now. While I am of course disappointed in those things, I can also say there are many things from my life 10+ years ago I am disappointed in too, so I don't feel like I have the right to judge too harshly. I also know that what the press reports and what happens behind closed doors are not always the same and things can easily be blown out of proportion. But at the same time I also know if it walks and talks like a duck....
Feelings are complex, opinions as well. I hold many in my head at a time and I feel like, ultimately what I am trying to say is... I want to believe in the Noel I have come to adore over all these years. The one with great imagination, compassion for the underdogs, and the childlike spirit that makes us all feel so comfortable and safe.
I am very interested to see if he makes any comments in the coming weeks and I hope that I can stand by this statement as time passes. I love all my fieldmice and am here for you while you navigate your own feelings at this time.

Can't believe I'm being cancelled for disliking gypsies, one of the most misogynistic groups out there who sell girls as young as 10 for gold and money, don't let them get education, etc. Unless you've lived close to them and experienced the whole extent of that culture, stfu
This is a tweet said by a ‘radical feminist’ known on radtwt and this is exactly why I only follow Black, Asian, Indigenous and Roma feminists now. White radfems will excuse their racism under the guise of feminism yet when it comes to actually being feminist and helping Roma women? They’re silent. I can’t believe someone would say this and not think to themselves ‘this is even more reason why I must ally with Roma women against oppressive aspects of their culture’ but instead she goes full nazi and later on says how Roma are ‘forever condemned to be lower caste’ and lives a ‘cringe’ existence without ever thinking about the racism they experience that makes their existence so ‘lower caste’ and ‘cringe’. I’m sorry to bring this to you, I know it could be triggering, but you are the most active Roma radfem I follow right now (the few I follow on twitter have been on hiatus or either suspended :/) and I needed to get this off my chest. I’ve been so annoyed at radfem spaces lately because of bs like this, where white radfems will go on about how they can’t be oppressive because they’re women and all women are oppressed only to turn around and be oppressive racist assholes.
I know the user you are talking about, I'm going to include screenshots for context:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
She was first called out in early June by a Romani feminist and another feminist on Twitter. Unfortunately many of the reactions are like this,
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I think some of those users are actual fascists, because some feminists would rather ally with the far right than support Romani women.
Then you've got the usual jokes about Europeans being just like Hitler because it would kill Gadje to actually take anti-Roma racism seriously for once instead of turning it into an Internet meme,
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tbh I have seen this sentiment echoed in many radfem spaces, not just on Twitter. A few months ago I received an ask that said "why should I care about Romani women when their culture is so sexist in the first place". A woman commented on one of my posts about racialized misogyny against Romnia with "stop playing the victim, if people don't like you it's because your culture sucks". (I'm paraphrasing because I'm too lazy to find those posts rn)
I totally understand why you'd only follow radfems of colour, I think I follow only a few white radfems as well. White feminists always try and undermine their white privilege because they think being a woman means they can't be oppressors. It's a very one dimensional way to understand how oppression works. I could go on and on about this but I think you summed it up pretty well. They're not only ignoring their race and class privilege, they are also being actively bigoted against woc.
I have heard that misandristlana was Afghan (but living in the UK), I can't find a proof for it because she has been suspended though. In any case it's a huge no hope for women moment but I am really not surprised by this, non-Romani women typically never show support to Romani women so I stopped expecting anything from them. We can only count on ourselves to liberate ourselves. That's why I prioritize fellow Romani women before other women

Hi! I’m making this post in honor of National Bullying Prevention Month and Depression Awareness Month. I unfortunately am a victim of cyberbullying and harassment, and felt that it’d be beneficial to help people look for warning signs and how to deal with it.
I know how mentally draining and painful it is, to navigate this negative experience. It’s gotten to a point that I started working with a mental health professional to help me cope. (and that’s not something I’m afraid to admit!) So I’ve decided to make some artwork to express some of the ways I’ve been feeling, while also going over some warning signs for bystanders.
I want to start by saying that you can actually get authorities involved for cyberbullying. If someone (or a group of people) is harassing you; such as making posts about you, asking people to block you, messaging people about you, etc, you can get police / school involved. But unfortunately some victims feel that they have to put up with it.
You deserve better 💕 if someone is harassing you, (online or in person) and if it’s safe to do so, do something about it.
The main way to stop harassment / cyberbullying is for bystanders to get involved. So I want to spread awareness of some things that people should watch out for.
I personally don’t believe in cancel culture, and think it's a huge red flag. If you see posts online that especially say “block this person” or “repost and block” you should be wary. This is a problematic tactic that these people use. The goal is to isolate the victim so that no one will come to help them, allowing the perpetrator to do whatever they please. By reposting these callouts, blocking said user, you’re only allowing the bullies to win. I’m not stating that everyone who makes a call out post is a bully, but I’m simply just stating to be wary.
Another red flag is if someone is going around privately messaging you about a user. This is another isolation tactic. If you receive a message such as this the best thing to do is to either ignore it, or privately warn the victim about what’s going on.
Cyberbullying is a big deal, if you’ve ever had it happen to you then you know how much it affects you. I’m lucky, my family is ready to do something about it. But that's not the case for everyone. If you see cyberbullying happening please don’t spread their posts. Don’t allow these oppressors to win.

Speaking of, I know I joked that they've learned what worked with Shabriri from Mico (themes of eyes and insanity + "ascending" by mass sacrifice), but actually Navlaan too, if not even more so?
Navlaan says that the sorcerer was looking for new forms of magic but instead "created" him, which does have the vibe of accidentally ending with split personality during experiments (Jekyll and Hyde vibe), however, description of Scraps of Life says this:
An esoteric spell created by Navlaan, the infamous exiled sorcerer. Awakens the souls of the long-buried dead. The heretic Navlaan was executed along with his entire village, and the mere utterance of his name became a crime. Some say it was because he sought to restore the banned art of resurrection.
Basically bro used to be his own person, existing probably long before this sorcerer or at least independently, and was another victim of cancel culture dshfdshjfsd So, the line "But instead, he created me" would mean sort of rebirth by possessing this sorcerer. It is not direct possession as in, controlling the body as a puppet, but neither a personality born from within the 'original' person (typically from dark and repressed emotions). But it is a secret third thing; say, he barely had recollection and semblance of his original self after death, so completing the otherwise almost-blank state and filling the gaps from what was lost with the memories and feelings of the host is as good as being born as a new person.
And it IS kind of like Shabriri, too! Except, Yura is certainly no longer present in the body, whereas the original sorcerer still appears when the player is in the human state to beg them to stay away for their own sake. But Shabriri also 'adapted' to what Yura used to be, like suddenly being able to fight the same way as him (with the only addition of Frenzy incantations), and Ronin Set is described as "armour of man that calls himself Shabriri".
As for Navlaan, some of his grudges seem like they came from the sorcerer rather than his existence within this vessel, and he unknowingly carries them out. He also describes the sorcerer as "naive" when he is pretty much naive himself now; he simply trusts that we killed people just because we bring their things! Also description of Chaos Set says "Robe worn by a chaos sorcerer. He calls himself Navlaan, now", so whereas original sorcerer's name is never learned, it is probably now abandoned and not relevant as Navlaan 'overrode' the original. Again, really interesting concept of two people that become an amalgamation upon merging (that I tooooootaly didn't use for what happened with Logarius and the King, and that is toooootaly not what likely happened with Aldrich after he ate Gwyndolin.......)
+ Also cool thing that Shabriri and Navlaan both messed with something forbidden and forbidden for a good reason, and both were incredibly hated! Shabriri is "the most reviled man in history" and Navlaan was so hated that you could not even mention him! I am sorry for bringing this topic often but I just really like to analyse how Fromsoft invents 'a type of a guy' and reuses blueprints later without being unoriginal about it, it is just fascinating

On racism in the QSMP fandom
The QSMP was a large, year-long event intent on uniting the world's assorted Minecraft communities. The idea was that people would share languages and cultures, and intended on helping everyone gain cultural awareness and set aside their own biases.
Because of this, the QSMP largely centered on the most beautiful and fun parts of each culture. Carnaval, Dia de los Muertos, French Independence Day, and the Fourth of July come to mind first.
However, cultures are not simply the existence of fun holidays, outfits, and foods.
It is the way people speak, behave, and think.
It is the reason why, in private text messages, even in English, I will use "Spanish" punctuation rules. It is why I make certain jokes, even if I know they won't work the same in English. It is why I dress the way I do, why I express interest the way I do, and scream the way I do.
Language affects culture, and as such I have my first point: Spanish-speakers and gender. I should preface this by saying that the way Spanish affected my perception of gender is different than others like me - because everything has a gender, in my mind, gender is largely irrelevant. What should it matter if a table is a girl, or a pencil is a boy, or a teacher is any specific gender? However, in many others, this leads to a stronger adherence to gender, because EVERYTHING has a gender. See: Vegetta. He, personally, does not understand the idea of someone who is not a girl or boy, and therefore struggles with the idea of calling someone that. For him, gender is firmly entrenched.
Now, if this personally affects people, then I do apologize. However, there is a strange habit of people looking down on Spanish speakers for "struggling to catch up". This is, in the nicest way, a xenocentric attitude. The idea that your culture is automatically "better" and "more civilized" than another is the outright definition of xenocentrism.
In the English language, there IS a gender-neutral pronoun ("they"), but in Spanish there is no such thing. You would default to male if you do not know the gender of the person you are talking about. The idea that someone could simply change their language - ESPECIALLY when there isn't yet a consensus on how to accommodate enby people, because ending things with the letter 'e' has not officially been deemed 'correct' by all Spanish queer people (source: I AM ONE) - because you want them to is unrealistic. You may be upset, but you must also be understanding.
Another, similar, example is one of ForeverPlayer. Please know that I am not defending him, I believe that an adult kissing a minor is wrong, even when it is lawful. However, many Brazilians have already noted that this was seen as NORMAL at the time, and that many people had been much worse.
And we cannot forget the reason that these allegations were brought up in the first place: racism and xenocentrism. The person who had brought the allegations to the public eye was not the victim, but a random person who had already attempted to cancel several other Brazilian streamers. Yes, they did a good thing in making people more aware of the streamer's behaviors, and for that I commend them, but it was not done with good intentions. People can defend themselves with "oh, I watch XYZ Latino streamer, I'm not racist" all they want, but have any of you truly contemplated your biases? Do you not hear how close you are to saying "I'm not racist, I have a black friend"?
White people only care about "understanding" cultures when it is appealing to them. When it is "aesthetic" and "fun", when the people they know are "entertaining".
People of color should not need to be entertaining to be seen as valid. They do not even need to be seen as good people to be seen as valid human beings with their own thoughts and emotions and rights.
The problem is that you wish to coopt the "beautiful" parts of our cultures, but you do not care about the "ugly" parts. You praise us for being "interesting", but you condemn everything that is not.
Your understanding of us is nothing more than fetishization. And THAT is the true problem with the QSMP fandom.

i’m going to be honest replying to someone saying they are a victim of cultural grooming and going haha you think this is normal, comes off like you don’t care about victims at all and just wanted an excuse to cancel someone. If you want to share evidence to someone you think is uninformed do it respectfully, don’t mock victims it makes you look horrible and hinders your point.
I am sorry for not being the kindest to @/thesmpisonfire
I got mad with the "excuse" for forevers behavior was because it was "normalized" here in brazil
Sorry for not being sweet about it alright

𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 / 𝘂𝗻𝗽𝗼𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻
SUBJECTIVE DEFINITION : relating to opinions, feelings, or emotions. is based on an individual's perspective or preferences.
first off, a joke about cancel culture so that way all of y'all who're snowflakes or swifties will laugh and take this SUBJECTIVE OPINION as it truthfully is... SUBJECTIVE!!!!!
setting : 2045
my grand kid : grandma, why did your generation back in 2021 cancel jake gyllenhaal during covid?
me : well, i didn't take part in that movement, but it's a relatively short story. taylor swift put out a song about him, saying jake had dated her even tho he was a lot older than her, and "allegedly" took some red scarf that she owned at the time.
my grand kid : ...why was y'all generation so stupid, grandma? why should y'all care about a red scarf? taylor swift was like making $13.6 million per concert she did? SHE CAN BUY AS MANY NEW ONES AS SHE WANTED?!
me : swifties were a different breed...
MY ACTUAL UNPOPULAR OPINION / HOT TAKE & EXPLANATION :
okay, so now that that is out of the way... i want to say this, i am not a fan of taylor swift or her music (as some of y'all probably already guessed) and i genuinely think that jake gyllenhaal didn't deserve all the hate and shouldn't have received the cancel culture / black listed treatment. all jake did was date her and "allegedly" took her scarf.
i'm going to have y'all (looking at you swifties?!) pretend that y'all actually have empathy and are capable of such an emotion for a minute...
imagine if you were dating taylor, y'all break up, the relationship is over. all of the sudden, she writes a song about you and how terrible you are as a person and only writes about how you ruined the relationship and takes no accountability that she also makes mistakes and contributed to the failing of the relationship.
not only that, she writes that you took her scarf, and then, all her fans start to do a freaking salem witch trial on you (torches, pitch forks, and all that) and demand that you be removed from your career that was barely starting to go up and you were starting to become more successful.
idk about y'all, but if i were jake, i'd be pissed off and genuinely hurt that she wrote about me like that (without my permission or consent) making me seem like some creepy person who only dated her cause she was young (or whatever) and then says that i took something from her.
like i know for a fact that if it was a dude who wrote that about a his ex-gf, for example, let's say jake harlow wrote a diss track (or whatever you wanna call it) about an ex he had, points out all her mistakes and failings that contributed to the end of the relationship, and then makes himself seem like he did nothing wrong and that he's in the right to completely slander and ruin his ex's career. Y'ALL WOULD BE ON HIM?! y'all would be calling him out and claiming that he's misogynistic, sexist, playing the victim, etc! so... WHY IS IT OKAY FOR TAYLOR SWIFT TO DO IT?!

so (imo) proshippers/"anti-anti"s are so defensive to basic criticism because they know what theyre doing is harming people, and they cling to their justifications for sexualizing violations of boundaries and bodily autonomy (which is essentially what all paraphilia is, from CSA to SA to incest to somniphilia to necrophilia to bestiality to sexualizing abuse, its all about forcing onesself or ones will onto an unwilling participant) -- and they get so defensive about their 'right' to share paraphilia as if "domination = sexual violence" and "sex = forcing someone into submission against their will" isnt literally the western christofascist NORM... god forbid someone raise criticism, even if its not the most articulate or sensitive criticism...
the curious thing, for me, personally, is the fact that they're always the ones preaching shit like "don't like, don't read," yet they get so defensive when people actually block them and accuse people of censoring them, except no one is censoring them. not even as a reaction to criticism, either, just people commenting on the art or writing or other media/content they post; a proshipper/anti-anti will openly post incest and 'noncon' and, when someone comments "hey this person posts incest and noncon," they become offended, which sort of just speaks to your point about them knowing it's fucked up... like, wait, aren't you literally the 'i post incest and noncon' guy? why are you only, just now, going off the deep end about being 'cancelled' and 'censored' when... no one is censoring you and you seem to be owning the fact that you post incest and 'noncon' anyway?
also isn't the entire anti-anti steez, supposedly, that you can say anything you want? so why is completely valid criticism of proshipping, particularly for the harmful effect paraphilia content has on sexual violence survivors online and offline, in fandom spaces or otherwise, suddenly 'wrong' and 'bad' and 'an attack' and 'censorship'? so i guess people can't actually say what they want? i guess you're just going to weaponize your own history with sexual violence against other victims of sexual violence to shut them up for criticizing you...?
did we actually learn nothing from criticizing rape culture and pedo culture? and the damage done by the normalization of rape culture and pedo culture? the "fiction doesn't impact reality" crowd can shut the fuck up forever, as far as i am concerned.
as always, evergreen:
