Thinking about being hypnotized ~ its been a kink of mine for a long time but I still feel like I know nothing about it. I've done my reading learning theory and certain practices, but that still leaves me in the dark about so much.
Thinking about being hypnotized and it starts as I expected. Reading you learn how induction is supposed to work and have an expectation going into it. I've tried and failed to self hypnotize so I feel excited and focussed on getting put into trance for the first time.
Thinking about being hypnotized and this time it's working. I notice myself dropping and realize this is it, now I get a real taste.
And then I'm thinking about how once I'm under the hypnodom starts doing things I haven't read about, or just don't understand, getting me to sink deeper and deeper and shaping me in ways I never could have anticipated.
#im not new to the kink#but i deff dont think i have the depth of knowledge that practitioners i follow have#and also cuz i havent been hypnotized before#theres another gap on the knowledge from there#i just find the idea of a prepared/experienced hypnodom using all their tricks on me hot!!!#pup.txt#hypnosis

The Science Behind Past Life Regression and Its Healing Powers
Past Life Regression (PLR) has intrigued individuals for decades, offering a unique journey into the depths of the subconscious mind. This therapeutic practice explores memories or impressions from past lives, aiming to resolve current issues and foster personal growth. Rooted in the science of hypnosis, PLR is increasingly recognized for its potential to facilitate healing and provide profound insights into emotional and physical well-being.
How PLR Facilitates Healing
PLR works by accessing the subconscious mind through a deeply relaxed state, often induced by hypnosis. This state allows individuals to recall past life experiences that might be influencing their present lives. These experiences could be linked to unresolved traumas, unexplained fears, or persistent behavioral patterns. By confronting and processing these memories, individuals may experience emotional release and clarity, enabling them to break free from limiting beliefs or chronic emotional struggles. PLR facilitates healing by empowering individuals to address the root causes of their challenges, promoting a sense of peace and self-awareness.
The Role of Psychic Healing in PLR
Psychic healing often complements PLR sessions, as it involves tapping into the energetic fields of the body to identify and release negative energy. During a PLR session, individuals might encounter past life events or energies that resonate deeply with their current state. This connection can act as a catalyst for psychic healing, helping to dissolve emotional blockages and restore balance. This dual approach allows individuals to align their emotional, spiritual, and physical health, fostering overall well-being.
Why Seek Hypnosis Services in North Texas?

What Role Does Hypnotherapy Play in Managing Chronic Pain
Living with chronic pain can be incredibly challenging. It not only affects physical well-being but also takes a toll on mental and emotional health. While traditional pain management approaches such as medication and physical therapy are commonly used, there is growing interest in alternative therapies like hypnotherapy. In this blog post, we will explore the role that hypnotherapy Melbourne plays in managing chronic pain and its potential benefits.
1. Understanding Hypnotherapy
Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic technique that uses guided relaxation, focused attention, and hypnotic suggestions to help individuals reach a state of deep relaxation and heightened focus. It aims to tap into the power of the mind to promote positive changes in thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. During a hypnotherapy session, a trained therapist guides the individual into a state of hypnosis, where suggestions and imagery are used to influence the subconscious mind.
2. The Connection Between Mind and Body
The mind-body connection is well-documented, and it plays a crucial role in pain perception. Chronic pain is not solely determined by physical factors but is also influenced by psychological and emotional factors. Hypnotherapy targets this connection by addressing the underlying emotional and psychological factors associated with chronic pain. By harnessing the power of the mind, hypnotherapy can help individuals manage pain by changing the way they perceive and experience it.
3. Alleviating Pain Perception
One of the primary goals of hypnotherapy in managing chronic pain is to alleviate pain perception. Through relaxation techniques and guided imagery, hypnotherapy helps individuals enter a deep state of relaxation, reducing stress and anxiety which can intensify pain. By inducing a relaxed state, hypnotherapy helps individuals shift their focus away from the pain and towards more positive and comfortable sensations.

4. Changing Thoughts and Beliefs about Pain
Hypnotherapy can also help individuals change their thoughts and beliefs about pain. Negative thoughts and beliefs can contribute to the perception and intensity of pain. Through positive suggestions and guided imagery, EFT Practitioner Melbourne aims to reframe these negative thoughts and beliefs, promoting a more positive and empowering mindset. This can lead to a reduction in pain intensity and an improved overall quality of life.
5. Enhancing Coping Mechanisms
Living with chronic pain often requires individuals to develop effective coping mechanisms. Hypnotherapy can help individuals develop and enhance these coping mechanisms by teaching them relaxation techniques, visualisation exercises, and self-hypnosis. These tools can be used outside of the therapy session to manage pain and reduce its impact on daily life. Hypnotherapy empowers individuals to take an active role in managing their pain and regain a sense of control over their lives.
6. Complementary Therapy to Traditional Approaches
Hypnotherapy is not meant to replace traditional medical treatments but rather to complement them. It can be used alongside medications, physical therapy, and other conventional approaches to enhance pain management outcomes. By addressing the psychological and emotional aspects of pain, hypnotherapy can optimise the effectiveness of traditional treatments and improve overall well-being.
7. Individualized and Holistic Approach
One of the significant advantages of hypnotherapy is its individualised and holistic approach to pain management. Each person's experience of chronic pain is unique, and hypnotherapy recognises this by tailoring the treatment to the individual's specific needs and goals. It takes into account the physical, emotional, and psychological aspects of pain and works towards a comprehensive solution. This personalised approach increases the likelihood of success in managing chronic pain.
Conclusion
In conclusion, hypnotherapy Melbourne can play a valuable role in managing chronic pain by targeting the mind-body connection, alleviating pain perception, changing thoughts and beliefs about pain, enhancing coping mechanisms, and complementing traditional approaches. It offers a holistic and individualised approach to pain management, empowering individuals to take an active role in their journey towards better well-being. If you're living with chronic pain, it may be worth considering hypnotherapy as an alternative therapy option to explore and discuss with a qualified hypnotherapist.

You Are A Wizard, So Pour Over The Tomes
Hypnosis is magic. It is not just “the closest we can get to magic.” Trance practices in all kinds of forms have served as the basis for mysticism across cultures and human history -- thousands of years. It is not new. It is not western. It did not start with Franz Mesmer or James Braid or Milton Erickson or Wiseguy.
Modern hypnosis stems from a rich human history of fascination and spiritual veneration of the mind’s power. We are practitioners of a comparably new discipline where we can literally change the way that other people experience the world. Their innermost selves are as leverage to us -- putty to us, when we know what we are doing. We can transform others freely. We can give pleasure or pain. We can facilitate experiences that seem to defy reality.
People talk a big game about respecting that power. What they usually mean by that is respecting EACH OTHER. That’s crucial, obviously -- not manipulating, not harming, being a good person.
But what about respecting the discipline itself?
It’s tempting to see what we do as disconnected from the “historical” and “outdated” methods of hypnosis. But we are a part of that history. We are likely hilariously wrong about a lot of things related to trance, hypnosis, the human mind -- what will hypnosis and psychology look like in 100 years? And even as we innovate, we are always building on the techniques and ideas that came before us -- in ways we are often not even aware of. We reinvent; we use ideas from the past unknowingly.
We have a right -- and a responsibility -- to OWN our magic. I am not here to gatekeep and say that this magic is not yours. It IS yours; it’s unequivocally yours. But as a whole we could do more to respect it.
“Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.” And hypnosis is not even a technology that we UNDERSTAND. The only real reason we DON’T see ourselves as wizards is because there is a huge motivation to legitimize hypnosis as a scientific discipline -- and non-rationalist perspectives are looked down upon in our culture. I’m not anti-science (maybe a little -- tongue in cheek) but I do think that labeling hypnosis as “just psychology” is dishonest about how much we actually objectively know about it -- and does a disservice to the phenomenon itself.
I’m not saying hypnosis is literally metaphysical. But I am saying we practice something very powerful without knowing its nature. There are secrets we have tried to suss out about this magic through history that we have written down -- past and present. We actually have tomes of knowledge, records of past experiments and modern inventors.
In the last couple of years, I’ve started teaching/facilitating “text studies” -- classes where we sit down with an excerpt from a hypnosis book and parse through it as a collaborative group. I desperately want to show people that there is value in just critically reading the resources available to us. The clinical texts -- especially older ones -- are hard to read, like they are almost in a different language. But it is amazing the insights we have come to by tackling them together.
These old texts are not pure truths -- there is a lot we’ve improved on over time. But we can learn a lot by learning what hypnosis was like historically. The entire discipline of hypnosis is extremely susceptible to change -- it is defined SO MUCH by how we view it culturally. I just recently was amazed at re-reading some Erickson where he talks about making his subjects daydream autonomously -- as a primary mode and result of inducing hypnosis. Contrast that with today, where if someone’s mind wanders for even a moment, they feel like they’ve failed. There’s something really important here -- a technique from 50 years ago that tells us something we’ve lost in modern practice.
And there are countless examples of this, of people losing and reinventing methods over and over. As I’ve watched our kinky niche grow over just the past 13 years, I’ve watched ideas phase in, out, and in again -- there is both growth and regression of our collective body of knowledge. That’s the nature of things, especially when we operate partially disconnected from the resources that are available to us.
We CAN be connected to the rich human history of trying to unravel the secrets about our minds, and about this thing that gives us enormous transformative powers -- powers that we take for granted.
You are a wizard -- so pour over the tomes.
Read a book. Read an article. Set aside some time and view yourself with the respect of being someone who can study and suss out a magical text. Take notes, look up words and concepts you don’t know. Or just absorb what you can on a first pass and go back later. Read a chapter or just master a single page. Romanticize the aesthetic of sitting with the scent of paper, or as the technomancer with words appearing on a screen.
Read. Own this art. And bring that respect of this art to the people you share it with. I promise you can do things with hypnosis that you have never thought possible.

Thread of experts saying that endogenic and nondisordered systems are valid: A repost.
originally posted by @/jsheaforrest on Twitter, Oct 3 2023. This is a repost so that others can view it if they do not have Twitter.
First off, we have the Plurality chapter of the book Transgender Mental Health by Dr. Eric Yarbrough, Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric, published by the APA in 2018 :
Important excerpts from that chapter: "Being plural, or having two or more people existing in one body or space, is just one part of the diagnosis of dissociative identity disorder. Many people who are plural do not experience distress from the existence of others within themselves."
Since distress/dysfunction are essential for a diagnosis of dissociative identity disorder, the implication here is that there's plurals who don't have DID. "However, although dissociative identity disorder and plurality are frequently associated with trauma, there are those who are plural and report no history of trauma. The case presentation in this chapter describes someone with severe trauma, but this is not a definitive or universal reason for the existence of plurality."
Next we have "Dissociation in Trauma: A New Definition and Comparison with Previous Formulations," published in the Journal of Trauma and Dissociation by Dr's Nijenhuis and Van Der Hart, two of the authors of the theory of structural dissociation.
The key part of this section is at the beginning where it says, "Our definition of dissociation pertains to a division of the personality in the context of trauma. We are aware that this division may also occur in hypnosis and mediumship, that several other definitions of dissociation also address these other contexts, and that there are some indications that dissociation in these other contexts is also best understood as a division of personality."
Source: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/21667387/
Sci-hub link: https://sci-hub.usualwant.com/10.1080/15299732.2011.570592
Next we have the ICD-11, a diagnostic manual written by the World Health Organization, with the latest edition being from spring of 2022. In its entry on DID, it uses "distinct personality states" to refer to what it also calls "dissociative identities."
In the DID entry's Boundaries With Normality section, it says the following:
"The presence of two or more distinct personality states does not always indicate the presence of a mental disorder. In certain circumstances (e.g., as experienced by ‘mediums’ or other culturally accepted spiritual practitioners) the presence of multiple personality states is not experienced as aversive and is not associated with impairment in functioning. A diagnosis of Dissociative Identity Disorder should not be assigned in these cases." Note that the text says "eg" meaning "for example", therefore it is not saying that it is ONLY those.
Next is the DSM-V-TR, which also came out in spring of 2022. In the differential diagnosis section of the PTSD entry, it says the following:
"Dissociative disorders. Dissociative amnesia, dissociative identity disorder, and depersonalization-derealization disorder may or may not be preceded by exposure to a traumatic event or may or may not have co-occurring PTSD symptoms. When full PTSD criteria are also met, however, the PTSD “with dissociative symptoms” subtype should be considered."
Lastly, we have an interview w/ Dr Richard Loewenstein, who is lead editor of the DSM's section on dissociative disorders, has written over 100 papers mostly on trauma and dissociation and been referenced in 100s more, and used to run a trauma and dissociative disorders center.
In an interview with radio journalist Laura Klivens, talking about our system and having been told our origins, he said what's on the screenshot below.
Source: https://gimletmedia.com/shows/reply-all/49hr6k (the link is broken, it redirects to Spotify, all gimlet media links do. If I find the episode i'll put it here.)
"RICHARD: What you’re describing is much more somebody who is emitting symptoms consistent with Dissociative Identity Disorder and, um, you know, without interviewing her, um, I would wonder if that’s … what’s occurring and this is--creates a kind of, um, way that she can experience herself without distress. But again, if she is not distressed, by definition it’s not a disorder."
Continuing on in that episode, Laura says the following:"
"LAURA: I didn’t just talk to Lowenstein, I also talked to four other mental health professionals--both psychiatrists and psychologists--from these really reputable institutions. And they echoed what Lowenstein said. They said if there’s not distress, it’s not a mental illness--it just doesn’t fit any of the DSM definitions."
So. All these sources, from the American Psychiatric Association, World Health Organization, the two major diagnostic manuals used worldwide, and experts who study and treat DID/OSDD-1.
They all support the idea of nondisordered and endogenic systems. We've yet to see a single source from any major institution or expert saying that endogenic and nondisordered systems are impossible. Thank you for reading.
This is the end of the original thread. The thread picks up again on Jan 8, 2024.
New addition: a recent study (September 12, 2023) specifically on endogenic and nondisordered plurality.
source: https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1002/cpp.2910
"Dissociative identity disorder and depersonalization–derealization have attracted research and clinical interest, facilitating greater understanding. However, little is known about the experience of multiplicity of self outside of traumagenic or illness constructs. Consequently, this systematic review explored how people identifying as having multiple selves conceptualize their experiences and identity."
It picks up once again, on Jan 17, 2024.
Another addition, from an article on Psychology Today's website published in September of 2021.
source: https://psychologytoday.com/us/conditions/dissociative-identity-disorder-multiple-personality-disorder
Key points: "Why some people develop dissociative identity disorder is not entirely understood...Several studies suggest that DID is more common among close biological relatives of persons who also have the disorder than in the general population."

Accidentally got back into an old hyperfixation of mine - Sylvia Plath - and read Paul Alexander's work on her for the first time. Turns out Ted Hughes was really into hypnosis! The idea of this enormous, slightly feral Yorkshireman doing hyponosis so sexy and scary (fully acknowledging the complicated issues of abuse in his relationships with women).
oh man oh dog this is fascinating and hot in a fucked up way. it's really striking how many well-documented abusive relationship dynamics and cults have relied on hypnotic tactics once you really look. most people assume that hypnosis is just a fake, trivial parlor trick, but there have been a lot of truly sinister implementations of it. like, hell, the co-founder of NXIVM was a hypnotist! Neil Gaiman was apparently a top practitioner of several techniques within Scientology that are akin to hypnotism. then there's the big Bambi sleep abuse case that got reported in BuzzFeed, and several odd cases of divorce lawyers being charged with assault, having used hypnosis on their clients, and on and on. It is terrifying and electrifying just how real this stuff is once you really get into it. I'm inclined to say that what we call hypnosis is just one manifestation of tapping into certain latent power dynamics that humans will find incredibly alluring, and are highly vulnerable to. put simply, our brains do a great deal of editorializing to justify The existing order of the world, actions that we are made to take, and our position, and we attach far more readily to a charming authority figure than many of us want to admit we do.

Where most of this stuff about programmed alters really comes from...
This stuff going around about highly specialized forms of DID alter programming (such as flower programming, jewel programming, delta programming, etc.) comes from conspiracy theories promoted by Fritz Springmeier (a self-proclaimed deprogrammer) and Cisco Wheeler (the alleged Monarch slave he claims he deprogrammed). They published three books - They Know Not What They Do: Illustrated Guide to Monarch Control (published 1995), The Illuminati Formula Used To Create A Total Undetectable Mind-Controlled Slave (1996), and Deeper Insights Into The Illuminati Formula (1997).
They claimed that Project Monarch was practiced by the none other than the Illuminati! Here are some quotes from The Illuminati Formula:
Over the years, I have spent thousands of hours studying the Illuminati, the Intelligence agencies of the world, and the occult world in general. The centerpiece of these organizations is the trauma-based mind control that they carry out. Without the ability to carry out this sophisticated type of mind-control using MPD, drugs, hypnosis and electronics and other control methodologies, these organizations would fail to keep their dark evil deeds secret.
Illuminati--The Illuminati are 13 elite bloodlines which have manuevered themselves into control over this planet. They lead double lives, one for society and a hidden one which is based on a gnostic luciferian philosophy which consists of lots of blood rituals.
The Monarch program is based upon Illuminati and Nazi goals to create a Master race in part through genetics. If knowledge can be passed genetically (which it is), then it is important that parents be found that can pass the correct knowledge onto those victims selected for the Monarch mind-control.
The Illuminati, of course, supposedly plans on instating a one world government - a conspiracy theory that's right out of The Protocols of the Learned Elders of Zion:
New World Order-- The New World Order is the global design for a One-World-Government One-World-Dictator and its constituents. Insiders call themselves the "network" and "the neighborhood".
They also claimed autism is a traumagenic "emotional problem" and described it as a state of being withdrawn from reality:
According to someone who has helped with the programming and Moon Child ceremonies, occasionally the child while in the womb when traumatized by the Moon Child rituals, retreats into its mind like a cocoon, and develops autism. Autism is an emotional problem where the child withdrawals from reality and goes into its own private world of altered states.
They claimed that numerous slaves were given "end time programming" to help put the Anti-Christ into power:
…programmers can place in post-hypnotic commands to do something on a certain date. The end time programming, that has Monarch slaves doing something at a specific date to create anarchy or to help the Anti-Christ come to power has been put in at this level.
They claimed Disney films are designed for programming and mind control:
Most of the Disney films are used for programming purposes. Some of them are specifically designed for mind-control.
They claimed The Lord of the Rings contains Illuminati programming:
Rings play a significant part in the lives and programming of slaves. One section that is coding/programming found in J.R.R. Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them, One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them.
They claimed the Illuminati controlled people's thoughts with electromagnetic frequencies:
They have found that ELF and VLF electro-magnetic waves can be used to control people’s thoughts.
And of course they claim rock 'n roll music is an evil conspiracy:
Elvis & the Beatles were chosen by the Illuminati to introduce rock music to the United States.
They claimed the Samurai were practitioners of witchcraft and demonology, because these conspiracy theorists are nothing if not racist:
But the Samurai and many other martial arts also use occult powers, which are actually different forms of witchcraft and demonology, even though they don’t recognize it as such.
They claimed Delta alters are telepathic:
Telepathy is used by Delta teams to coordinate their activity and to sense if one of them is in danger.
They claim the Illuminati is in possession of a white gold powder that will make you psychic, cure all your diseases, and make you glow:
After ingesting the white gold for over 9 months, a subject will become extremely psychic and disease free. The person’s body will also glow.
They claimed that Monarch slaves can remember their Satanic genealogies going back to ancient times:
The memory storage area for the computers include the Emerald City Library (staying with the Wizard of Oz theme) which contains alters who's only function is to memorize & retain with photographic memories pages and pages of information. … The libraries contain the historical genealogies of satanic iniquity from early ancient times to present.
Many people today don't know the real origin of these ideas. Some try to downplay or hide them. But make no mistake, once you start start researching the actual origins of the Project Monarch mythos by tracing citations and comparing what various people are publishing, its origins in far right conspiracy theory culture are undeniable!
This type of programming has allegedly been practiced in the US for at least seventy years. And in all of this time, not a single document written by or for the programmers has ever come to light! The only people who know anything about it are people who come across literature written by conspiracy theorists, or those who have been demonstrably influenced by conspiracy theorists in some way.

Consulting a Hypnotherapist: What to Expect and How to Choose
Are you considering consulting a Hypnosis Melbourne professional or an EFT practitioner for the first time? It's natural to have questions and uncertainties when exploring alternative therapies like hypnotherapy and Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT).
In this guide, we'll walk you through what to expect during a hypnotherapy or EFT session and how to choose the right practitioner for your needs.
Understanding Hypnotherapy and EFT
Hypnotherapy: Tapping into the Power of the Subconscious Mind
Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic technique that aims to access the subconscious mind to bring about positive changes. During a hypnotherapy session, you'll typically sit or lie down comfortably while the hypnotherapist guides you into a state of deep relaxation. Contrary to popular misconceptions, you won't lose control or be made to do anything against your will. Instead, you'll experience heightened focus and receptivity to positive suggestions that can help address various issues, from stress and anxiety to smoking cessation and weight management.

EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques): The Art of Tapping
EFT is a technique that combines elements of psychology and acupressure to alleviate emotional and physical distress. It involves tapping on specific meridian points on your body while focusing on an emotional issue or problem. This process is believed to release blocked energy and reduce the emotional intensity associated with the issue. EFT can be effective for managing phobias, trauma, and even chronic pain.
What to Expect During a Session
Initial Consultation and Assessment
Before any treatment, you'll typically have an initial consultation with your chosen Hypnosis Melbourne and beyond. This consultation serves as an opportunity for both you and the practitioner to get to know each other. You'll discuss your goals, concerns, and any questions you may have. This step is essential for tailoring the therapy to your specific needs.
The Hypnotherapy or EFT Session
During the session itself, you can expect a safe and supportive environment. For hypnotherapy, you'll be guided into a relaxed state, which may feel similar to daydreaming. For EFT, you'll be guided through the tapping process. The practitioner will use their expertise to help you address and work through the issues you've discussed.
Post-Session Discussion
After the hypnotherapy or EFT session, you'll have a discussion with the practitioner to reflect on your experience. You'll share your thoughts, feelings, and any insights gained during the session. This part of the process is crucial for tracking your progress and making any necessary adjustments to future sessions.
Choosing the Right Practitioner
Credentials and Experience
When choosing a Hypnosis or EFT practitioner Melbourne, it's essential to consider their credentials and experience. Look for practitioners who are certified in their respective fields and have a track record of helping clients with similar concerns. Don't hesitate to ask about their training and any specialised areas of expertise.
Approach and Compatibility
Every practitioner may have a slightly different approach to hypnotherapy or EFT practitioner Melbourne and beyond. It's important to find someone whose approach aligns with your preferences and values. During your initial consultation, assess whether you feel comfortable and supported by the practitioner. Trust your instincts when determining if the practitioner is the right fit for you.
Client Testimonials and Reviews
Reading client testimonials and reviews can provide valuable insights into the practitioner's effectiveness and the experiences of previous clients. While everyone's journey is unique, positive feedback and success stories can give you confidence in your choice.
In Conclusion
Consulting a Hypnosis Melbourne treatment can be a transformative experience that helps you overcome challenges and improve your well-being. By understanding what to expect during a session and carefully choosing a practitioner who resonates with you, you can embark on a journey of personal growth and healing. Remember that your journey is unique, and finding the right practitioner is a significant step toward achieving your goals.

"A bunch of people who agree with my lies say this other person spreads misinformation, so I'm going to dismiss any sources they provide."
I would say I'm surprised, but this is about the usual level of critical thought I expect from anti-endos.
A couple usually means "2". I think what you mean was zero.
Oh. The articles state the only possible way to develop dissociative "parts" are trauma???
What articles are those?
Hmm... Was it this one...
Hmm... No... that's pretty explicitly saying that it may be possible to have multiple "self-conscious dissociative parts" through other practices such as mediumship and hypnosis.
But you know, that doesn't really mean anything does it. Just look at the authors. They're probably just nobody endogenic systems themselves...
Yeah, never heard of them...
See... it's just the literal creators of the Theory of Structural Dissociation!
🙄
Ooh! We have a spicy hot take here!
I think what @frenzyborderlines is referring to as "normative" dissociation is referring to the ICD-11 Boundaries with Normality.
(Either that, or they're just arguing with a strawman they made up. Really hard to tell.)
If so, not only are they accusing endogenic systems of "playing pretend," but also mediums and other spiritual practitioners!
Anyway, if you want more, here are the screenshots from Transgender Mental Health by Eric Yarbrough, and published by the APA.
If that's what you want. 🤷♀️
As long as you and your anti-endo friends understand that when I post my responses in the anti-endo tags, it's on you.
It's cute that you think you posting easily debunked misinformation and being proven wrong with quotes from actual experts is a "fight."

What it's like to hear my friends who are demons talk on a podcast and how the science works out for that
We've been doing the Bad Occult Podcast for two episodes and it's already making me think in ways I never have before. It's showing me things I didn't know were possible.
So, for the podcast episodes, Shadow and I do them live. Right now Shadow observes while I channel a demon or two. This is part of the science, part of the experiment. We want live observations, consistent live observations, because how do you "measure" demonic or even just spiritual activity? You document it, and you document it consistently in a way that allows you to compare observations across time and across demons.
But there's also a component of the science on the demons' end. In this scenario, they are the subjects of an experiment. How does one gain a demon's consent to experiment on them? Mages experiment on demons all the time--sometimes rituals are actually called "experiments" in occult practice, and have been for years. We're not the first people to experiment on demons, by far. But it's not our goal to experiment ON demons, it's our goal to experiment WITH demons. ALONGSIDE.
WITH CONSENT.
Now, demons are almost always summoned under duress. The very concept of "summoning" implies that the entity will show up on the spot when called, no matter what. So how can we be sure that demons who show up for the experiment are truly willing? What if they're participating just because they can't help it on some level? How would we be able to tell?
Well... what if that's the point? What if the point is that it's very hard to tell whether the participants in the experiment are truly willing, and thus constant check-ins are required to ensure consent is really happening? What if we're looking at a complex, deep situation where it's truly hard to tell why an individual is participating in reality in the way that they are? I don't know why demons show up when commanded, but it sure seems like they have to and it's not a choice they're making. So are they showing up for the podcast out of obligation, or enjoyment? Are they here because they want to play the game or because they have to?
And you know, I constantly think about this? I constantly think "is this spirit under duress in any way? Is there lingering hypnosis from some other practitioner? Is there some obligation or unpaid debt, some invisible wire that's making them move? How can I tell? How would I possibly be able to tell?"
Consistent, repeated observations.
I've listened to Rob on two different podcast episodes, Mantis on one, and already I have so much to observe and learn from. And not in a cold, detached way. I've been listening with empathy. I pick up on the stress in a demon's voice, the anger, the concern. I pick up on the fact that some topics are actually uncomfortable for them. I pick up on the fact that everything that happened to them before these recordings did not always go okay for them. That they've ended up in bad situations. That they feel risk and terror just as much as we humans do, which must mean there are real stakes for them somewhere. That they don't always talk to each other, and they discover things they didn't know before when they do talk to each other, which might mean that on some other level, they're often kept apart.
Observation is the only way to further understanding.
I understand that we are subjects in their own experiments, and I feel that this arrangement we have would not be fair otherwise.
The experimentation continues.
I look forward to the next episode.
