Patches, the Untethered || Boss Designs of Elden Ring #7

Patches is a recurring character with his origins all the way back in an Armored Core game, whom From Software then brought back again and again in Demon's Souls through to Elden Ring. He is almost a stock character, like you'd get in a commedia delle'arte, being a roguish, sort-of-charming, gleefully treacherous little bastard of a man, cheerfully betraying the player in every which way he can think of.

And yet... he is not hated. Players leave fond messages around where he is found, warning others to treat him like a friend (albeit a friend you should keep an eye on).
