Even buiten het centrum, als je helemaal honger hebt gekregen van alle aroma’s die je tegemoet komen tijdens je fietsrondje door de Utrechtse wijk Lombok, vind je het inmiddels bekende Instock in een schattig wit huis aan de Vleutenseweg. Het gebouw is vrijstaand, waardoor het restaurant aan de achterkant de luxe heeft van een grote tuin die uitloopt in een grasveldje. De laatste producten die we redden waren de bessen en sinaasappel in het dessert: een romanoff met gel van rood fruit, merengue en blueberry-mint ijs.

Instock gaat creatief om met de voedselvangst van die dag. Maar hoe krom een stuk groente of vis ook is als het binnenkomt bij het restaurant, eenmaal op je bord is het een plaatje en proef je daar niks meer van.
