Doll Like Beauty: Vedic Astrology Analysis

in the early 2000s, models with a babyface were very popular. throughout the years i've come across many celebs who have very doll like visuals or neotenous features and I thought it would be fun to analyse them through the lens of astrology.

Lets start with the mother of all doll faced models, Miss Gemma Ward herself.

She's Swati Sun with either UBP/Revati Moon with Jupiter in Revati atmakaraka, if she has UBP Moon then its conjunct her Rahu in UBP and you can see the confluence of all these naks and placements on her face.

In Asian countries and in Asian media, women with more youthful, ingenue features are represented more as that's what's considered beautiful. Therefore you'll see far more examples of Asian celebs who are babyfaced than you will of Western celebs. This does not mean all Asians are babyfaced.

In the West sharper more intense, androgynous features are considered striking and beautiful therefore women with more babyish faces stand out as unique looking.

Anywho, on the basis of my research I've come to understand a certain group of naks are commonly found across women who have doll like visuals (Uttarashada, Dhanishta, Mrigashira, Punarvasu, Vishaka, Purvabhadrapada, Aswini etc) a combination of Mercury and Moon or Jupiter/Saturn influence is what creates the features that lead to a doll like face.

A dollface usually has a small chin, a round/diamond/inverted triangle ish face shape, small nose, large or wide set eyes, pouty lips, a high forehead and high cheekbones and prominent cheek apples. This is a very hyperfeminine appearance. Thus it shouldn't be surprising that many of these natives have Moon conjunctions or Moon as their atmakaraka/amatyakaraka. Another prominent aspect is having atmakaraka/amatyakaraka in Saturn; since Saturn rules over bones, a small compact face with prominent bone structure signifies Saturn's influence.

I am of the opinion that beyond a single nak affecting a native's appearance, its usually a combination of several naks/planetary influences, thus it makes sense to see how Jupiter, which has the tendency to enlarge features give a native pouty lips, large eyes along with Mercury which makes features small, petite and dainty. Large features on a small face creates doll beauty.

I was surprised to see Martian naks (Dhanishta, Mrigashira, Chitra) on here but given its nature, Mars acts very similar to Saturn and creates compact faces with very prominent features; it creates youthful and striking beauty in women. Aswini was also surprising, especially since other Ketu naks weren't evidently present. But since Aswini is the very first nak, it makes sense as to why its natives have babyish faces.

Random Doctor Who Facts You Might Not Know, Part 4

While trying to figure out how Jenny was the Fifth Doctor's daughter, the Nine suggested he might be her father or her mother.

The Nun once shot and imprisoned the Tenth Doctor on her TARDIS, using a psychic shroud to take on his appearance temporarily before "regenerating" into her own body.

Some headcanons featuring screenshots from my Sims 3 Strangetown game.

PT9 and Jenny met in 1985. Based on the Sims 2 memories, she found him drowning in the pool since he dived head-first into the shallow end. While everyone was running away in fear - she rescued him and fell in love at first sight. PT9 vowed loyalty to his savior and gifted her with knowledge about Sixam.

Jenny and Lyla were roommates until she married Buzz Grunt. She doesn't get Jenny's attraction to PT9 but she was supportive. Meanwhile, Jenny tried her hardest to break up Lyla and Buzz because she deserved so much better!

The Curious Brothers were forced to cut contact with Jenny since she 'betrayed' their father by marrying PT9 ( valid honestly - thinking about it makes my head hurt )

Pascal having Tycho brought the family back together.

5. Glarn was an emotionally absent father who paid no attention to his kids. Pascal was Glarn's favorite which was why he went to private school. He was also responsible for looking after his younger brothers when they moved out.

6. Pascal is " Well achually" incarnate. He loves to talk about theories and science. Aliens and Astro physics are his hyper fixation

7. Vidcund and Lazlo spend their time joking about how Pascal takes himself way too seriously. They were best friends throughout school and Vidcund was the one who helped Lazlo get his degree.

8. Lazlo is a genius, he passed school with no effort because he was just that smart. Glarn didn't see his genius because he was too busy scolding him for being messy.

9. Lazlo takes Vidcund out to hang out with his friends and works overtime trying to set him up on dates so he can get over Circe.

10. The Curious Brothers weren't that close - and often butted heads but since Tycho was born they are closer than ever. ( UNTIL VIDUND SOLD TYCHO)

11. I know Vidcund was mind-controlled, but imagine if he wasn't. He's in serious debt and these blue aliens offered him like a billion dollars if he sold his nephew. The Dudes in Black wanted to run experiments on him idk.

12. Pascal never really recovered after his kid was stolen and was overly protective of Tycho. Tycho grew up anxious because of the overarching threat of being kidnapped again.

13. Olive Specter is not a serial killer (allegedly) - she just has really bad luck, but she kept up the bit so people would leave her alone! She is really superstitious because she's connected to the supernatural. She makes good luck charms and ensures that Ophelia is really cautious and wears all her charms.

14. Ophelia has a serious anxiety disorder - partially because Olive raised her to be scared of everything for her own safety. She makes sure Johnny and Ripp don't go under ladders, cross poles, or step on cracks. She gets really stressed out when Ripp makes dark jokes.

15. Olive was a good mom until she was wrongly accused of being unstable which led to her baby being taken away. She tried to get him back but there were too many roadblocks and Nervous was already given away.

16. She loves the Grim Reaper and longs for the day she can see him again. Her partygoer job entails her going to funeral memorials.

17. Nervous met Annie Howell in foster care and they are really good friends to this day. He missed her because she was adopted by her older brother and left alone in the orphanage. 18. Nervous was a constant runaway and ended up in the Beaker's house as a teenager with the promise that he wouldn't have to go back to a group home. Unfortunate :(

19. I like how most people agree on how rude and not nice Nervous actually is. He's standoffish for good reason and gives Vidcund a lot of snark for being into Circe. He's chill with Lazlo though.

20. Nervous is the fun dad, and lets Tycho do whatever they want. Meanwhile, Pascal is pretty strict about his schooling ( which doesn't matter because Tycho has alien intelligence) and being safe. 21. Tycho grows up to follow in Pascal's astrophysics footsteps, mostly to build a ship and hunt down his Pollinator dad.

NuWho Zine: Character Tracker 👀👯

Hi everyone!

I decided to put my nerd cap on today and, as I was putting together some things for the zine, decided to look into what kind of works we have so far. I thought I'd share with you all, so I hope you enjoy!!

1. General Stats

We so far have 29 works lined up: 15 fan arts (52%), 10 fanfictions (34%) and 4 works of written non-fiction (this may be analysis, essays, etc) (14%). This feels like a nice balance for me, and I'd be pretty happy if this is the balance of different types of works ae have for the final zine.

So, as you can see, Nine, Ten and Twelve are the ones who are coming in the strongest. However, in terms of companions, the Ponds are winning by far! This may be because, after the initial submissions, there weren't any Ponds pieces and some people who didn't have a concrete idea yet decided to feature them; they mostly feature them together, though - we don't have many/any pieces of Amy or Rory (or River) solo.

Most pieces feature two or more chracters. So far, the only character centric pieces I have jotted down are for Clara, Twelve, Fifteen (maybe), and the Master.

(3) What This Means

Like promised, in July I will open a form for submissions. I strongly encourage people who want to participate to start thinking about what they'd like to do, because you'll have to provide that when signing up. I'm counting on accepting about 15-20 people/pieces and, since this isn't a submissions-based zine, these will be first come, first serve.

I really want all works to be artist-led, ie, you get to draw/write/whatever whatever it is you desire. However, I would also like the zine to be somewhat balanced in terms of character representations, so in the name of compromise, please keep that in mind!! Here are some ideas for pieces:

Pieces focusing on a single character, especially those that have less submissions;

Episodes/seasons/story arc analysis or commentaries;

Analysis of specific aspects of NuWho;

Personal essays (for example, focusing on an aspect of Doctor Who you love, how you got into it, etc);

Fanarts that are episode-focused (in particular, I'd really love a piece about the 50th and/or the 60th anniversaries, since they were such big fandom events);

Non-character-centric pieces: pieces focusing on the TARDIS, or DW monsters, or planets, or the Time War, or regeneration - other aspects of the DW universe in general beyond the characters.

I'll also be open to one or two pieces that focus on NuWho spin-offs rather than NuWho itself, since I do consider them part of the over-arching NuWho Universe (looking at you, Torchwood girlies!!!).

In terms of characters, we're really missing Thirteen-era pieces and I know the 13 fans are out there, so this is your chance!! We're also with low numbers of Jack, specific Masters (most Master pieces are about the character in general, not focused on a specific Master), Bill, River, and 11-Era Clara.

I also really encourage people to submit pieces about minor characters: give me the Tylers/Joneses/Nobles/Sundays family portraits! Give me Mickey, or Ten's one-offs, or Jenny, or Alonso! Give me Jenny, Vastra and Strax! Give me the Moment, War Doctor, Fugitive Doctor! Give me Nardole, Rogue, Wilfred, Rose Noble, Lady Me, or whoever else I am missing here that you love and want to feature!

Finally, I also have two artists who would like to establish a colab: in particular, I'm looking for a writer that feels comfortable writing various characters of NuWho (but 13 and Yaz in particular), and an artist who loves Rose and Tentoo. If that is you, feel free to reach out whenever so that we can talk (no need go wait for July!!)

Bambi and Grace go on routine holidays every Christmas and every summer

Olivia and James went through a brief stage where they annoyed each other a lot before it all went away overnight, leaving Bambi and Grace to wonder if they'd imagined it

Jenni is always flying over to spend time with the kids and they get so excited when she comes over because she spoils them a lot

Ollie is totally Bambi's dog but he's so protective of Olivia and Grace and used to herd them around when they were little. He also likes slobbering all over visitors

Grace is obviously a big hugger and she likes to be big spoon when she and Bambi sleep. She swears she can't fall asleep if she's not holding Bambi

So, a little over a week ago I posted a survey I made on the show. I was curious about the opinions in the fandom. The survey got 86 responses, which is way more than I thought it would! I had a lot of fun looking through all the responses as they came in and writing this up, and I've gotten lots of messages from people who filled it out that they also had fun! There are definitely some things I would change about how I did this and the questions I asked if I was to redo it in the future, but I tried to note the big things through the survey.

Also; when there were short response questions it would be way too long for me to have included all the responses. I tried to summarize the main themes, and then include a variety of responses and opinions that I found interesting.

It has some of my favorite individual episodes but I could start to feel how the writers were becoming angry at the audience and started punishing certain characters. I couldn't finish certain episodes in the second half of this season. The rape scene with Spike made me stop watching the show for a while, Tara's death was a blow. It just went from being what could've been my favorite season to feeling like I was being punished as a viewer for liking certain characters. And then...he tries to rape her, and their respective arcs are doomed to be about that moment for all of S7. Willow's slow descent into becoming an abusive girlfriend and power-hungry villain is utterly thrilling to watch. For the first eight episodes. And then...it becomes a drug addiction metaphor, and her arc goes to hell and never recovers. This season is BtVS in a nutshell: some experimental episodes, some risky and bold storytelling, some satisfying payoffs, and some serious backfiring.”

what is the Robin timeline in ur headverse? Like what’s the order and where do they end up later in the timeline? (also love ur art its amazing)

okay, stick with me, this is a journey:

Bruce wasn't the first Batman in the headverse, that was an OC named Dr. Aloysius Flying Fox (later just Aloysius Fox). His Robin was John Blake, who's thus first by technicality. Al and John are the headverse's Golden Age Batman and Robin, with a weakened Zod as the Golden Age Superman and Diana back in her role as Golden Age WW since she was born in 1900 as a Century Baby.

Once Bruce becomes Batman, the order of Robins is:

Dick Grayson (adopted as preteen, trains for a year or so and debuts as Robin) who becomes Nightwing around the time he's 18, using a name of Kryptonian animal and a Kandorian bodysuit gifted to him by Clark, giving him a little extra protection even against superhuman foes.

Jason Todd comes on after Dick's moved to San Francisco/Jump City full time with the Titans but before he's Nightwing. He's older than Dick was when he started (so 14-15) and only gets a year or two before Joker kills him. He's revived shortly after by the League of Assassins and trained in the ways of the All-Caste. He returns to Gotham as the Red Hood before completing his training, which causes problems for his Outlaws down the line.

After the incident with Jason, there's a gap where Bruce is mostly operating solo (barring team-ups with other established heroes). Tim, Steph, and Cass all come crashing into his life around the same time after Dick's become Nightwing but before Jason return. Tim is Robin, Steph is Spoiler and Cass is Orphan, but Steph and Cass become a second Robin and Batgirl shortly after coming up the Batman's aegis.

After Jason's return, Tim is Red Robin, Steph and Cass are both Batgirl (barring Cass's time undercover as Kasumi), at which point Damian enters the picture and the whole dynamic blows up. Once everything's kind of settled, Damian is Robin.

Then Crisis Era begins and there's another big shake-up, the functional result of which is the disappearance of the Trinity. This Era is defined by reality breaking apart as a result of various Meta-Cosmic beings (The Hands and The Eyes, Monitors and Looker, Pariah, Old and New Gods, etc) all fighting to survive Perpetua and The King of Tears attempting to resurrect Ultra the Hunter.

Dick and Damian continue on as Batman and Robin for some time. Carrie Kelley is active as Robin as well, but she's from a timeline create and destroyed during the Crisis, so she mostly operates independent of the larger Bat-Family. Jace Fox discovers Aloysius's history as the Lost Batman of Gotham's Golden Age and simultaneously operates as Batman of the Cinderella City (New York).

Dick eventually leaves the mantle, Damian becomes the Outsider, and Jace and his sister Tam operate as Batman and Robin. Cass is the new Batwoman, with Vivian Vale (oc) as Batgirl and Cheyenne Fremont as Nightwing. Steph is Oracle with assists from Barbara. Tim survives being captured by Joker and then splits his costumed adventures between the Black Ace Joker and the Batman Who Laughs.

From there is a jump to the Beyond Era and the emergence of Terrence McGinnis, unknowingly a result of Waller's work to create a reliable Batman of her own, who then bonds with an abandoned picotech symbio-suit being maintained by an older Jace.

Duke's present through the timeline, but as a Monitor-level metahuman, he's sort of on his own trajectory. Harper is concurrent with Steph, Cass, and Tim, all of whom are involved with a Talon using the pseudonym "Turner Hayes" before being revealed as an undead Dexter Dent. Dex is briefly Robin under James Gordon Jr, Waller's first attempt at having a Batman of her own.

Maps Mizoguchi is in here somewhere, probably concurrent with Damian and Carrie during the Crisis. She eventually becomes Meridian (uh, current BoP spoilers I guess).

Jenny Wren claims to be the First Robin but she's just one of Aloysius and John's rogues who became a Talon but got her memory scrambled.

I think I originally had a young Helena Bertinelli as Robin concurrent with Dick to retroactively justify Helena Wayne being named after her, but idk if I'm keeping that or it really makes sense. Otherwise she's Kate Kate's Robin before becoming Huntress. Helena Wayne follows a similar trajectory, but becomes Batman between Cass and Jace but before Terri and Elaina (Dick's daughter with [redacted] and briefly one of the Red X's).

Jarro...exists.

Reunited (Aitana Bonmati x reader)

Based of this request

Aitana Bonmati would always hold a special place in your heart. As your childhood best friend you would spend every minute of your spare time together, most of that time was spent on the run down pitch that was near the street where you lived. You both dreamt of being professional football players even though back then it seemed highly unlikely.

You loved your life, that was until your parents got a divorce and you had to move to England with your mum. You were 14 years old when you had to leave your old life behind and sadly that included Aitana. A long distance friendship proved too difficult and as time went of the two of you drifted apart and soon the phone calls between you ceased to exist.

When you started playing professionally you made the conscious decision to go by you mother’s maiden name, wanting none of your accomplishments to be linked to the man you once called dad.

Almost 10 years later, you made your return to Spain when Atletico Madrid signed you from Arsenal. You missed out on your inaugural season due to an horrific ankle injury sustained in a pre season friendly. Now a year later you are finally making your debut, against none other than Barcelona, against the girl who was once your favourite person.

The game is 65 minutes in when the board goes up, showing your number.

The crowd errupts, despite not yet playing for the club, you were a fan favourite and a lot of people have been waiting to see you play.

“I’ve never heard the crowd make this much noise for a sub” Patri tells Aitana.

They both look around the pitch and atleti team and even some Barcelona players are giving you a round of applause.

“Even Alexia is joining in” Mapi says now joining in on the conversation.

As if she hears her name been called, the captain walks over to her team mates.

“She is a young kid that they signed last season but she got injured before she could play. From what Lola tells me it was pretty bad and she has been working her butt off to get back on the pitch”

The girls are in shock to Alexia been so nice about an opponent during a game.

“She has also told me that she is a machine, so stay alert”

And just like that their captain was back.

It took minutes for you to ring Lola’s word true, you took a shot from outside the box, Sandra only just getting her fingertips to it, sending the ball over the crossbar. Atleti manage to get a goal back from the corner, a pin point header from you.

Barcelona reset but still Aitana watches you celebrate and she recognises the celebration straight away but refuses to believe what she is seeing.

“Y/N” she whispers.

“What?” Patri asks as they get back in position.

“Nothing” Aitana tries to push her thoughts to the back of her head but it doesn’t work.

Even whilst playing Aitana keeps her eye on you as she tries to work out it you are in fact her best friend from childhood. She watches your mannerisms and every so often you would do things that brought Aitana back to the pitch all those years ago. The way you would stroke you tummy twice when you were thinking or the way you talked, the voice she hears send her back to her childhood.

The match ends 1-1 and still Aitana fails to break her gaze. Her mind is running a hundred miles an hour.

“Has Aitana got a little crush?” Jenni nudges the small midfielder.

The forwards words fail to register.

“Tana!” Patri all but shouts making her jump.

“What!” Aitana snaps, slightly frustrated that her friends won’t leave her be.

“You’re staring and you are making it really obvious”

Heat rises to her cheeks upon hearing that her glances are not a subtle as she hoped. Still her eyes remain on you as you talk to Carmen.

“Go to her” Jenni says.

“Who?” Aitana asks now really listening to what the others are saying.

“Number 15”

When she hears your number another pin slots into place. The girl she knew always wore 15 joking that she had to always one up Aitana with her being 14.

“Do you know her name?” Aitana asks.

“No” Both Jenni and Patri say in unison.

“But I know who will!” Jenni adds.

The forward shouts of the team captain.

“Do you know what number 15’s name is?” Jenni asks Alexia.

“Only her last name, Y/L/N”

“No shit, we know that. It’s on the back of her shirt” Jenni shoves the captain.

Aitana thinks for a moment, it wasn’t the last name she knew but it did sound familiar only she didn’t know where from.

“I only answered your question” Alexia answers innocently “Why?”

“Aitana has a crush”

“I think I know her”

Aitana’s words intrigue the three women.

“Think? How do you think you know someone, either you do or you don’t” Patri says slightly confuses.

“She reminds me of someone I knew when I was younger”

Alexia goes to talk but Aitana cuts her off.

“Wait!” She says as she walks closer to you, her friends following in suit.

You are talking to fan who had a sign asking for your shirt, Aitana watches the interaction intently knowing that this could be her only shot at knowing without asking your directly.

“Why are we watching 15 take her shirt off?” Mapi joins her friends.

“She was in a car accident when she was 7”

“Who wa—“ Patri slaps her hand over the defenders mouth.

“She had to have surgery on her spine, the scar was big”

The group of players watch you, trying to see the marking but someone blocks their view.

“Lola!” Alexia says just now realising how invested she had become.

“What?” Lola say not knowing what she has interrupted.

The goalkeeper gets pushed out the way but is too late as Aitana sees a member of the coaching staff hand you a warm up shirt, now your back was covered.

“Thanks Lola” Aitana says in defeat.

“I didn’t do anything. I only came over here to tell that some of us are going to Sibuya and I wanted to know if you were going to join us”

Jenni looks at Aitana, how her head hung in defeat, a light bulb going off in her own head.

“Will Y/L/N be there?”

“You mean the player who just made her debut and scored, no I think she will want to go home and spend the night alone” Lola replies, her voice filled with Sarcasm.

The other players stand there, waiting for the goalkeeper to reply seriously.

“María Dolores” Jenni warns her friend.

The goalkeeper hold her hands up In defence “Yes, she will be there”

“Looks like you will be able to ask her yourself” Patri tells her friend.

With that the girls agree to meet at 7.

The Barca girls arrive and they are told that the rest of the party are in the private room upstairs. As they reach the top they see the players that mere hours ago they considered their enemy. Aitana searches the room but she cannot find the person she is looking for.

“Lola said she will be here, relax” Jenni rubs Aitana’s shoulders before pushing her towards a seat.

The table converse for around half an hour before the waiter arrives, ready to take everyone’s order.

“Is it ok for you to come back, we are still waiting for some people to arrive?” Aitana asks as she looks at the two spare seats.

“No, no. You can order, they texted Carmen what they want” Laia reassures the waiter.

“So they’re still coming?” Alexia asks knowing it’s what Aitana wants to know.

“Yes. Y/N and V are on their way” Lola confirms.

Aitana freezes upon hearing your name. Could this be a coincidence or is she really going to see you after all this time.

“They tend to lose track of time when it is just the two of them. They both had media after the game, everyone wanted to speak to Y/N and V didn’t want to her to be alone” Carmen tells the table.

“Honestly they are inseparable” Lola rolls her eyes thinking of the antics the both of you have been apart of.

For reasons she doesn’t fully understand, Aitana had an uneasy feeling in her gut. The thought of you been with someone else didn’t sit well with her. Yes, she understand that nothing ever happened between the two of you, you were only young when you left and she didn’t expect you to wait for her when she gave you no reason to but still she is jealous at the thought of you and V together.

“Aitana, I have a question for you. What’s your obsession with her?” Lola asks referring to you.

At first Aitana doesn’t know how to explain the current situation she faces, truth is she had been trying to figure out since she saw you on the pitch.

“Let me” Patri says confidently “you see Tana here had a best friend when she was younger and for some reason she thinks that your number 15 is that best friend.“

The rest of the table hang of Patri’s every word as they become invested in the possible reunion.

“Then we watched as she took her shirt off”

“You did what!” Carmen asks in disbelief.

Aitana is about to speak but Laia cuts her off.

“Nice of you to finally join us” Laia says when she sees you and V coming up the stairs

But catches Aitana’s attention is how your fingers are interlocked with V’s.

“Don’t blame me. I had to wait till Y/N came down from her adrenaline high, she wouldn’t sit down, picture a kid on a Sugar rush”

“Hey! Don’t be mean, you know you love me” you pretend to act offended.

“That I do” V kisses your temple.

The Barca girls watch the interaction before looking at their friend. Although Aitana never talked about how deep the connection between the two of you went, they figured she had feeling for you, they could see it in her eyes.

You and V take your seats and by luck you are sat opposite Aitana. The first course comes and they two of you are yet to talk.

“How about we play truth or dare?” Lola suggests.

“No” Carmen is quick to answer knowing that Lola will have an alterer motive.

“Don’t be so much a bore Car” Lola playfully slaps her girlfriends thigh “it’ll be fun, Y/N you can go first”

You give Lola a look, one that translates into what are you up to.

“During Christmas break you stayed over, what happened to my blender, actually let me rephrase that, who broke my blender?”

Your eyes goes wide as you look around the room, more specifically to V and Carmen who are the only ones that know the truth

“It was—“ you are on the verge of confirming Lola’s suspicions when Carmen cuts you off.

“Don’t crack”

“We made a promise”

Your two Atleti team mates cut you off.

Looking around you see that all of the table are staring at you but your focus in on the girl opposite. You send her a playful wink, one which causes Aitana to blush.

“You’ll never know” you smile smugly at the goalkeeper.

“Fine by me, now your dare is” Lola taps her chin as if you doesn’t already know your fate “take your shirt off”

“Lola you know I won’t do that, why would you ask me that, here of all places” you are slightly annoyed by her dare, not expecting her to ask this of you.

“I’m sorry, it just that—“ Lola knows she went too far.

“Forget it” you end the conversation on the spot.

Feeling the tension between you and goalkeeper, the rest of the table begin to make small conversations between themselves. The only person still looking at you is Aitana and you can see the curiosity in her eye.

“T” you say barely a whisper, still a bit shaken.

Hearing the nickname only you have called her all but confirms her theories. If not, the look in your eye does, she would recognise it anywhere. In that moment she sees the 7 year old who would obsess over the scar on her back, who would try to cover it with make up because she didn’t want people to stare.

“Y/N” Aitana says barely a whisper.

“Took you long enough. Now I can take my shirt off if you need to see it but—“

“No, I don’t need to see it” Aitana says referring to your scar.

The two of you are lost in the moment, only breaking away when you hear someone clear their throat.

“So you do know each other?” Patri asks.

All of sudden every one starts asking questions.

“How did you meet?”

“Why did you leave Spain?”

“Why didn’t you tell Aitana you were back?”

“Do you wanna?” Aitana tips her head in the direction of the stairs.

“Yes” you push your chair back, your standing form quiets the table.

Without saying another word, the two of you leave and are soon out on the streets of Madrid. As you walk in silence you feel lighter than you have in years and you know that is because you have Aitana by your side.

“I did want to reach out when Atleti signed me but then I got injured and well I wasn’t exactly the best company. V only put up with me because she didn’t have any other choice” you tried to explain your reasoning.

“You and V, are you?” Aitana feels the jealous rise within her.

You swear you could see the green in her eyes.

“We’re just friends. We met in a time where we both needed each other. I would go with her to her treatment and she would keep me company during physio, when she was feeling well enough”

“No need to be jealous” you nudge Aitana’s shoulder with your own.

“Why Y/L/N? It would have been so much easier if you kept your other name”

“That was dad’s name, after the divorce I wanted nothing to do with him. Now I go by Y/L/N, to honour my mum”

“That makes sense” Aitana replies.

“What made you you think it was me on the pitch?” Now it is your turn to ask a question.

Aitana replayed the game in her head as she tries to pin point the exact moment.

“The way you walked, how you used your hands when you talked to Carmen, you always were gesticulative but the moment when I really thought, that’s my Y/N, was your celebration, you never changed it”

It takes you a moment to realise that she has finished talking. The way she said my Y/N gave you butterflies.

“You mean this?” You dramatically do your celebration.

“That’s the one” Aitana says between laughs.

“In the end you thought the only way to now for sure is to watch me strip?”

Aitana buries her face in her hands with embarrassment “you saw that?”

“Four Barcelona players watching my every move, kind of hard to miss”

The two of you discuss all of the big and small things that has happened over the years and soon enough you reach your destination, the beach. You take a seat on a bench that looked out over the ocean, Aitana sits next to you.

“You can see it if you want? I didn’t wanted everyone else to see it, it only leads to questions and I don’t like talking about it”

You can her hesitating as she thinks about it. In the end you make the decision for her. You turn so you are facing away from her as you lift up the back of your t-shirt. You feel her trail her fingers along the scar then you feel her warm breath on your back before you feel her kiss the top of it.

Suddenly feeling very vulnerable you pull you shirt down and quickly adjust your position so you are once again facing Aitana. Only she doesn’t move, if anything you could have sworn she moved closer, so much she that her face is inches away from yours and in a quick swift motion her lips are on yours.

The kiss ends just as quick as it happened, much to your disliking.

“Jesus T, take a girl to dinner first” a smile tugs at your lips as you tease your best friend.

“Would you like to go on a date with me?” Aitana asks. Her tone filled with confidence knowing that you didn’t push her away when she kisses you.

“Of course I will” you steal a kiss before standing, holding you hand out for Aitana to take.

The two of you spend the next hour or so walking down the boardwalk as you reminisce about old times and plan what you will do together in the future.

15x20 "carry on" timing marks

or, as i scribbled at the top of the page "i heard that if you watch 15x20 carry on for a 10th time, it unlocks the secret good supernatural finale * i redid all of the timing mark notes today so these should be more exact than what i had before

i've watched 15x20 nine ten times so you don't have to! (but you should! bc folks should be in the habit of fact checking!)

also bc it rustles my jimmies so bad, i want to reiterate: 15x20 isn't a shorter than average episode! it's 41m48s until the credits and 42m19s in total, which is normal!

many thanks to @chiaroscuroverspn for seeing me post about how i wished i knew where the ad breaks were and checked their DVR recording to look up the timing marks. once i knew roughly where they were it was so easy to see where those ad breaks are bc of the longer cuts to black between shots/scenes. (incidentally, they seem to be right before chapters 4, 5, 7 & 8 on the DVD)

* please note that i didn't add the runtime of the ad breaks to the timing marks since 99% of ppl will be watching it without ads and i didn't have the exact time for how long each ad break ran so i didn't want to throw things off

Newish Comics:

Big big week here on what came out 4 weeks ago! I have many opinions! You all have to put up with me being insufferable over A Nice House by the Sea (but you should totally read the Nice House series if you have not).

I am also going to contain my comments on Absolute Power stuff in this to titles I'd be reading anyway; I'm putting together a separate post for my feelings on the first 4 weeks of the event.

The Nice House by the Sea #1: So I have been so excited for this and I am delighted to announce it lives up to my expectations.

If you are new to this, I do suggest going back and reading Lake, because Sea is written with clear expectation that the readers already know the conceits of the mysteries of Lake, as this household does as well.

But I love the way Tynion's connected the two households, with one of the members of Sea (Oliver Landon Clay) being a friend of Walter's who didn't go into Walter's house, and instead was invited and accepted Max's invitation instead. And the reasons why that we get in the first issue are so juicy - Oliver is clearly set up to be an echo of the decisions made by Reg, which is going to be fascinating, in that they both have responded to their childhood knowledge in such different ways.

Also there's an fun Animorphs joke and I was reminded that yeah, Tynion is exactly the right age to have been an Animorphs kid.

Zatanna: Bring Down the House #2: this remains enjoyable, though I was reminded with this issue that it is definitely Black Label, because all the explanations going on here do not match my understanding of any of the Homo Magi stuff or versions of Zatara's fate that I've encountered previously. However! Still a rollicking yarn!

Green Arrow #14: yes this is a tie in, Thunderbirds a Go!

Okay, okay, there are a bunch of cute references and throw backs in this. As someone who has a lot of feelings about 90s Green Arrow plots and Ollie being awful in them, I really wish someone other than Joshua Williamson was writing this. (mostly because I suspect we are going to get soft soaped on the 'no seriously, Ollie failed people and was terrible' front when Ollie eventually gets around to his triple cross)

The Flash #11: God. When the art in this run is on it is ON (though. How is Bart shorter than the twins now. What is going on).

Batman: The Brave and the Bold #15: ...it is incredible how this story reminds me of how much Tim Seeley irritates me as a writer, largely because he loves using beats I prefer to diminish.

Important note: The Renee story looks like it is the bridge into the new run? Same writer. So if you're down for The Question: All Along the Watchtower, you should probably look at BatB #15 & #16.

The Warlord #62: this week in Skartaris! A fantastical world within our own, lying undetected in primeval splendour! (thanks Grell)

Tara and Graemore are still angsting about their affair and whether to tell Travis.

"Organise a Royal Hunt--and make it a real outing! I'll get to try some of my bawdier material, Morgan blows off some steam, you rest easier, and the farmers are rid of their problem!" "Brilliant, Graemore! Thank you! I'll go sound Morgan out on the idea right now."

Seriously why will the three of you not contemplate polyamory???

Well, if you won't, then Travis is going to find himself having an extremely manly wrestle with *checks notes* Rostov, the local werewolf.

Tara decides to deliver an ultimatum when Travis heads out to try and help Rostov find a cure for lycanthropy by visiting Jenny to see if she can help; apparently she has finally reached her limit in terms of "Travis's attention span is half an issue long" for the present. Tara! Let a man go visit his daughter!

Taskmaster series groups (part 3) and their vibes

Series 11: All on a night course for something.

Is Charlotte studying something to do with children? Yes.

What are the others studying? We have no clue but they're working darn hard. (And by that I mean they like to discuss their life more than actually work. They got on the topic of the etymology of tree once.)

Night school makes them feel like they're in a different world, with only them and the building they're in. Oh well. They won't lose their minds, maybe?

Series 12: Book reading evening, not a book club despite what many of them think.

Honestly they just came to get out of the house and actually talk to people, helps pass the time doesn't it.

Series 13: A community drama group.

Honestly none of them are big on acting or drama in general but they suppose they might as well. Just a mash of characters that don't really fit but none of them are going to start a fight with each other. (Not really, Chris wouldn't really allow that since he is the peace-keeper.)

Series 14: Family vibes, found family vibes.

Dara and Sarah definitely are an uncle and aunt from different sides of the family just trying to herd the others and hope they don't get hurt. Fern and John are the most like their kids and Munya is sure he doesn't even need parenting. (Munya does need parenting but it's just better to let him think he doesn't.)

Series 15: Detention kids.

Has Frankie been called in because Ivo's been in detention from not talking to teachers too much? Yes.

Did he also end up in detention? Yes.

Jenny would be there for ignoring the rules during lunch time.

Kiell because he gave attitude to a teacher.

Mae because they started a fight.

It's a very awkward situation because Ivo really just doesn't want to be here. Frankie is planning to leave at the first chance he can get, dragging Ivo with him and the others if they want. Jenny is also making an escape plan but it involves less 'walking-out-the-door' and more costumes and sneaking. Kiell is playing on his phone and has already had his headphones confiscated. Mae wants to break the silence but is very aware they're the only one willing to talk to the others in the room.

also this wack thing is happening that is very significant

i have Parts, right, and theyre very distinct. i started being aware of them when i was like 8, except i thought they were ghosts at first lol. at 14/15 they told me their names. it's been a very long time, and i've had a lot, a LOT, of communication with them over the years. they've grown and evolved as i have, and my relationship with them, and their relationships with each other, have evolved.

there's one named Jenny. i've been mean to her since i first discovered her. for one thing, she named herself Jenny. what a boring name, i said!!! but she wants to be a boring girl. she's 14. she's purple. she's skinny with long, straight hair. my teachers when i was little got me to sit with the big groups of girls, and she saw how they looked at me, and she wanted them to accept her. she wanted her mum to pay as much attention to her as she did to her normal, normal students.

she obsesses. she keeps me up all night, she talks constantly, she goes in loops. she spends her life constantly aware of how people might see her, and it's safer to assume the worst. guys, i HATE her, i always have.

but last week i finally paid attention to her. i've done this with all the others - even the angry, mean ones. jenny isn't mean, she's just terrified. i cleared some space, and i asked her, what do you like?

she froze. she had never, ever wondered that before. only what other people like, and how she can become that. it took a few days of her thinking about it to answer, and in that time she was oddly quiet for the first time.. ever..

she said, very hesitantly, i'm not sure.. i like clothes. i like matching colours. i like drawing figures. i like tidying up and organising my things.

girl... where have you been lmao, we HATE organising things. have you considered that you could be incredibly useful to us? that you can help and be important without obsessing, that that's not the only way to be a part of me?

she's been thinking about this for days. she's been thinking about changing her name to Violet, after the girl in a series of unfortunate events. she's been wondering if she could turn her energy to keeping my body and surroundings clean, and practicing simple drawings. she's not sure she's Violet yet, it might take years to grow into. she still keeps me up, obsessing. but i'm not mean to her anymore. i listen. i say, hey, we don't do that anymore. do you want to lay next to me instead? we can be quiet together.

SUNITA JUMPSCARE!!! (And also Jennika cameo, her hair is a little shorter because she’s around 14-15 here, so it’s about 4-5 years pre-Ret!!! Girl is currently in that awkward stage of hair growth where she’s going from super short hair to hair around her chin which is gonna take her a good while dbwjgdjwhd)

BUT THIS POST ISNT ABOUT JENNY ITS ABOUT SUNI!!! After losing the turtles and Splinter, his first successful experiments in years, Draxum tried to recreate the mutigen as best as he could. But as he kept failing over and over again, especially after a certain someone (Jenny) started screwing with his experiments, he got desperate and just threw a bunch of crap together to see what happened, and what happened was Suni. He knew he probably should’ve gotten rid of her as soon as he laid eyes on her, but it was his fault she exists in the first place, he has to take responsibility for his mistakes. And anyway, after Baxter’s niece found out about her and got attached, he knew he wouldn’t have the strength to get rid of Sunita. So he kept her alive, despite it being difficult to take care of her as she needed constant care in order to ensure she could sustain her form.

Suni is a bit no thoughts head empty HDKSBJDBDJD BUT SHES A SILLY LITTLE GAL!!! She likes pink, bows and when Jenny tries to shape her goo into different hairstyles whilst rambling about her life before she started working in the lab with her uncle, telling Suni that one day they’ll escape and she’ll show her all of it. Suni knows she can’t leave the lab but she believes her anyway. It’s nice to imagine that one day she could meet all of Jennika’s friends and do all the normal stuff she used to. It’s comforting, even if it can never happen.

(This was the incentive for the @tmnt-iteration-compeition btw!!! Also @awzominator Big Mama’s design has already been posted and I think Draxum’s has too but I’m thinking about redesigning him so he could’ve been taken down at some point)

Also PS there was actually a couple of ideas when it came to Sunita! A while back whilst I was still trying to decide what I was gonna do with her, someone asked over on insta if there were any other important characters like Irma that went to April’s school and I considered making Sunita another member of the journalism club who notices in Season 3 when April starts getting a bit paranoid and is sneaking around and stuff and always seems exhausted. She vows to find out what’s going on with her, but only because she’s worried though! If the scoop happens to be juicy though… She was kinda a smaller villain of sorts like she was nowhere near as much of a threat as Shredder or Draxum or Big Mama but she was still there. I scraped that though because I came up with an idea that would benefit Draxum’s character arc and I went with it 😈😈😈💥💥💥‼️

I do! Or I try to - I try to respond to every comment people leave, even if it's only a heart emoji or a 'thank you'. Because I want to show them I see them and appreciate them!!

6. What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

Toss up between "no home sweet and no sweet home" with Joan having to run away from an abusive household in the middle of the night to a life of just constant running and loneliness she's not emotionally prepared for after having a relatively normal life and "my heart is a stone, my body is not my own" with Yataka dealing with years of blackmail, sexual assault and noncon suddenly being exposed to everyone by one of his abusers and just refusing to talk about it at all and rejecting the (admittedly flawed) attempt at comfort shown to him (points for being a fic I wanted to end with comfort and instead became my first hurt/no comfort).

7. What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

It's hard to choose but I'm gonna say probably First Word (link above) because. I mean how does it get better than Human!Ten, Donna and Jenny being a little family together and Jenny's first word being Donna's name and Ten being absolutely in love with his girls-

8. Do you get hate on fics?

Oh I did like, back when I was 13. My ATLA OC fic got cyberbullied by some dude on tumblr, who copy&pasted whole chapters of my fic and then would go through the chapter and add shitty comments.

The only good thing about that situation was that he even added a whole post to express his confusion that all the comments on my fic were positive. everyone else was loving it. and then he apparently needed to ruin me and left his own comment telling me he was reviewing my fic. which of course led to a shock and some hurt feelings but uh, seeing him annoyed at everyone else liking the fic helped lmao now I can look back on it with amusement like what was going on with that guy that he felt the need to harass a 13 year old.

I also got another comment on the same fic accusing me of plagiarizing their fic and OC because both my oc and hers could bend 2 elements and had sort of similar names and when I went to read her fic it was so completely different from my own I had to LAUGH.

9. Do you write smut? If so, what kind?

I've attempted it a few times but I really don't know what I'm doing with it.

10. Do you write crossovers? What's the craziest one you've written?

I've never written a whole crossover - I admit I did start an au fic where all different studio ghibli characters were in the story of Anastasia the movie, but it did not get super far before I stopped.

11. Have you ever had a fic stolen?

luckily no.

12. Have you ever had a fic translated?

No but if anyone ever asked I wouldn't say no!

13. Have you ever co-written a fic before?

Nope!

14. What's your all-time favourite ship?

Oh my god.... I mean as hard as it is to choose it's gotta be TenDonna. like platonically, romantically, a secret third thing, they are amazing together and I love them so much.

15. What's a WIP you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?

I try to never say I'll never finish a fic, but there's one for certain I don't think I'll ever finish, Prince Mononoke - a role swap au of Princess Mononoke. I was writing it for years and had my grandma proofread every chapter before publishing. I put it on hiatus for years, but then she died, and it didn't feel right to keep going.

16. What are your writing strengths?

I feel I write dialogue really well. I try my best to hit the right voice for every character and I think I do a good job at it. And honestly it's hard for me to not write dialogue like half the time I'm like can you guys shut up already and progress the plot with actions instead-

17. What are your writing weaknesses?

I'm not as poetic as I'd like to be, I guess. Like. some writers are just fucking masters with words and I feel like I'm stammering. I'm also not super confident in writing romance - like, pining, or friendly relationship with a splash of romance for fun? I've got that. Actual romantic relationships? Not so much.

18. Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language for a fic?

If I do, I use google translate and hope for the best, but usually I don't. Ethereal has a lot of Canadian French in it because Marianne is from Quebec, but I use my sister (a French Immersion student) as my translator.

I mean I don't think there's anything wrong with it. Like, use the best translator website you can find and hope for the best.

19. First fandom you wrote for?

If we want to get really technical it was for The Suite Life of Zack and Cody, before I even knew fanfic was a thing. If we want to be specific to published fic, it was Avatar the Last Airbender.

20. Favourite fic you've ever written?
