There are many times when you can lose your motivation to do something, but by setting a standard of finishing well, you can complete the task despite any lack of motivation and desire... . ... When God can trust us.. it is because we live by a different standard than someone that He can’t trust... It can also mean that we have intentionally made a choice to live our lives differently from others who don’t believe in Christ and sometimes even other believers, despite the push back we may get for doing this... This is not because we feel that we are better or even because we are in a position to judge them... It is because we understand who we represent and how He has called us to represent Him in our lives! . ... We can read about this in 1 Peter 1:15: “But now you must be holy in everything you do, just as God who chose you is holy”... Holiness is the standard that we should live by... Although we all have been given a standard, the way it will look in each of our lives is different based on the assignment at hand... If my assignment is writing, then I must choose holiness in how I write, which will look different from someone who must choose holiness as a musician... Yet as I choose to be dedicated to the standard, He can trust me with greater...It is because either we are affecting people we encounter or they are infecting us that we must be conscious of the standard... . .. A dictionary definition of a standard is a level of quality or attainment... I would dare say that God entrusts us with assignments equal to the standard of holiness we have committed to being obedient to and walking in... . Now here's the question... To what level are you dedicated to His assignment?.. Happy Tuesday People! Hope everyone got their taxes filed, or at least applied for an extension! I've been blessed with the opportunity to raise two beautiful boys. My primary objective isnt about me, or @that1atlantaguy87, or what car I drive, what clothes I wear, it's not even where I live. My sole objective in this life is to make sure I carry forward the strength, the morals, the loyalty, the honesty, and the integrity my many family, friends, and mentors have instilled within me. Dont get me wrong, I'd still love to sport a sexy ride with big rims, or be able to travel around whenever I please, but those are all just "things", and those things arent what matters in the grand scheme of life. It's people. Its love. It's an open mind to an open way of life. Its enabling trust and comfort and supporting people and situations that make no sense in the #moment at hand. I'm learning VERY slowly, but surely, that I have a unique gift. Actually I have a few, but the one I am most proud of is captured in this picture.
