Any of y’all do that autism thing where what music you’re into at any given moment suddenly becomes themed around your current hyperfixation?

I think I started doing it when I first got an iPod way back when and I was really into Calvin and Hobbes, and I would imagine the characters in it performing the songs in a rock band. I would think about Naruto pairings while I was listening to Rihanna and thus the song “Umbrella” permanently reminds me of an anime I haven’t watched in nearly two decades. I can’t hear “Live and Let Die” anymore without thinking of Lucifer from Hazbin Hotel, a show I don’t even WATCH, but I happened to be interested in both songs at the time and now they’re stuck together. And oh sweet mother of FUCK, do not get me started on Dark Souls. I have an entire set of PLAYLISTS I made with a friend of songs that remind me of the bosses and characters, so they are now permanently grafted to Dark Souls for the rest of my time on planet earth.

Anyway, the reason I bring this up is cause recently I got back into Gorillaz after a long hiatus of not listening to them (which was DUMB, their music is amazing) and like

Oh god oh damn Gorillaz and Digital Circus are bleeding into one another.

In that one story I wrote about Pomni at the lake, I tried to perfectly time the moment she jumps into the water with Ragatha and Jax with the beat drop in “Tranz.” The last story I wrote with Pomni making her lists was themed around “Revolving Doors.” And I’ve been listening to Humanz a whole lot on my off time (great album by the way) and an entire AU themed around the album emerged from it where they escape the circus but Caine pursues them into the real world and Jax has a whole villain and redemption arc and fhehsjjsndjdjjendnssjsjdj

Moral of the story: Music can go with anything and is important to me in my fiction, it’s why I use it a lot.

I needed to get that outta my system. Carry on.

In this au, Everyone has a shadow that follows them, most are for Protection as the shadows are there to protect there people, Recently the real world and The Dream World have Become one, But so have the enemies of the Dreamworld so nothing stays peaceful all the time.

In this au, Mari is alive as her Own shadow risked there life to save maris, Now Maline (Maris shadow) Lives in a light form, she can only been seen by the Dreamworld Counterparts.

tf2 x cotl au thingy

so I came up with thiz idea that instead of the lamb you would play as "the 10th class" simply referred to as Ten not sure yet how I think they would look

but same premises as cotl u make a deal with the one who waits <- not sure yet who or what would take hiz place? and u create a cult but the followerz would be the variouz mercz with red blu and freak variantz i do think they'd be animalz n not humanz

Miss Pauling and Bidwell would also be followerz you could get but you'd have to do a quest to get them I think + defeating the boss of their area

speaking of I have the bishops of the old faith swapped to be Administrator in Leshys spot and Saxton in Hekets spot no one yet for the third bishop and then Gray Mann in Shamuras spot

I have the idea that each zone is changed to be themed more around each character like Gray Mann's area would have robotic enemiez and there would be crystal Australium in the wallz n stuff

Oh!! and taking Rataus place would be the unused commander character I also think you'd be able to encounter Olivia Mann as like an NPC character who could have a 50-50 chance to either help u or screw u over

I also came up with some unique demons and tarot cardz that you could use like a tarot card called Overheal which allowz u to pick up additional red heartz even at full health and like if you converted a scout to a demon you'd get a speed boost or a pyro that would shoot fireballz on a cooldown ect.

I've been thinking about it a lot I just OwO

Gorillaz : Premier groupe virtuel

En 1998, Damon Albarn et Jamie Hewlett créent Gorillaz grâce à leurs talents respectifs : la musique et le graphisme de bande dessinée. De ce mix d’art va naître l’un des groupes les plus connus aujourd'hui après 25 ans de carrière. 

Comment Gorillaz ,un groupe de pop star virtuelles, parvient à avoir un tel succès ?

La représentation visuelle du groupe est une des raisons de leur popularité. Il s’agit donc de quatre membres : 2D le chanteur et pianiste, Murdoc le bassiste, Russell Hobbs à la batterie et enfin Noodle à la guitare. Le groupe s’inscrit dans une multitude de genres musicaux tels que le hip hop, le indie rock, le reggae pop, l'électronique et j’en passe.

Le groupe n'est pas seulement une image mais a aussi toute une histoire, on y retrouve alors le talent de Jamie Hewlett. De ce fait, il existe le livre Rise of the ogre, qui regroupe les mésaventures de Gorillaz ou encore L'almanac, un livre qui rassemble les dessins de Hewlett. Les vidéos clip retracent aussi l’histoire du groupe, peut-être de manière plus légère étant donné de l'importance des nombreuses collaborations avec d’autres artistes. Gorillaz cherche dans leur clip à créer une sorte d'expérience pour le spectateur. Par exemple, dans le clip de la chanson Stylo pour l’album Itunes Sessions sorti en 2010, on retrouve le groupe en pleine course de voiture avec l’acteur reconnu Bruce Willis.

On peut alors se demander si leurs succès n’est pas simplement dû à la virtualité du groupe. En effet à l’origine, il n'était même pas question de dévoiler l’identité humaine derrière la voix de 2D. Damon Albarn qui avait déjà connu dans son groupe de britpop Blur la pression médiatique, la personnalité de l'artiste à l'époque devient de plus en plus importante et  est manipulée pour plaire aux fans. L'idée d'un groupe virtuel lui donnait une plus grande liberté de création. Le premier album fut un tel succès, enregistrant dans leur carrière un premier hit “Clint Eastwood”, même si leurs identités furent dévoilées quelque temps après, les véritables stars étaient déjà désignées comme les membres virtuels.  

 De plus, pendant ces 25 ans de carrière, Gorillaz ne s’est pas contenté de clips mais on aussi invité les fans à se plonger d’autant plus dans l’univers virtuel de Gorillaz.par exemple, ils ont créé un site web pour lequel ils ont remporté un prix au dotmusic online Music Award en 2001. Gorillaz ont aussi créé des jeux vidéo à l'époque accessibles à tous sur le site web comme le Final drive geep simulator ou l’on pouvait conduire la voiture du groupe comme dans le clip de “Clint Eastwood.

Ensuite, Gorillaz a dû faire preuve d’imagination pour parvenir à performer leurs musiques de manière virtuelle. En effet au début, les concerts se faisaient derrière un écran avec des vidéo projetés dessus. Puis, notamment dans les performances télé, par exemple au madonna grammy de 2006, le groupe utilise les Hologrammes des membres. Ils ont aussi fait le clip de saturn barz pour leur album Humanz en 2017 en 360 degrés . et enfin dernièrement, pour la sortie de leur album ils ont fait un concert en réalité augmentée à Time Square à New York et à Londres.

En conclusion Gorillaz est le groupe  précurseur de la musique en virtuel, des groupes et artistes s'inspirent d'eux volontairement ou pas comme par exemple Shaka ponk ou encore le groupe de k pop Aespa. Le virtuel est pour eux un média pour atteindre une plus grande liberté artistique.
