@/welovemonstergirls asked: Can I see hcs for Whitney, Candice, Hilda, Sabrina, Elesa and Skyla with an adopted child that was previously abused? The child is quiet, shy and fearful and is prone to crying and nightmares.
Franchise: Pokémon
Genre: General headcanons; angst; hurt to comfort; familial
Trigger warnings: PTSD mention
A/n: Ah, my first angsty ask. Poor little thing, I'll make sure these girls take good care of them, don't you worry!
❀ Sabrina
Sabrina hasn't been around kids since she herself was one; the only time she interacts with them is if a gym challenger just happens to be a kid. So to say that she's inexperienced with children is an understatement. But she's a kind woman with a big heart, and has absolutely zero tolerance for child abuse (well, game Sabrina anyways). Seeing the awful state that the child was in, she took them under her wing immediately and vowed to give them a second chance at living a happy life.
Despite her cold and aloof exterior, Sabrina is actually pretty laid back and chill. She won't be particularly strict or overprotective, but she won't just throw the child to the wolves either. As soon as the adjustment period is over, she'd gift them an Eevee and task them with evolving it into an Espeon, though that's not to say she'd be disappointed if it accidentally evolves into an Umbreon or Sylveon, she'd just be proud to see her child's growth as a trainer and person. Having a partner Pokémon that's a psychic type would not only serve as a protector, but if the child has a panic attack, the Pokémon's psychic abilities could help calm them down.
Speaking of which, panic attacks and nightmares become a non issue. With Sabrina and her Pokémon's psychic abilities, the child could be hypnotized into falling peacefully asleep or winding down from a PTSD episode. She'd be careful not to overuse them, as she knows that she can't always be there to help the child, so she would research and teach them some healthy coping mechanisms which range from the more normal tricks like taking 10 deep breaths or squeezing a stress ball, to more outlandish things like biting into a lemon. Not particularly elegant, but if it works, it works.
Sabrina would love doing activities with the child. Once she reached adulthood, she realized just how much she genuinely enjoys spending time with other people, and her favorite person to be with, of course, would be her own child. She'd like to read to them before bed, do puzzles with them, bake with them, or just sit together while they each did their own thing.
There's a chance that being around Sabrina and her Pokémon constantly would lead to the child developing their own psychic powers. In that case, Sabrina would be an excellent teacher. Whether it be teaching them to have a better grip on their telekinesis, clearer telepathic communication skills, or making sense of their visions, Sabrina would be there to guide them every step of the way.
*•.¸❀
❀ Whitney
Whitney is... Well, a bit of a mess. I can see her being a great babysitter or older sister figure, but being a child's primary caregiver? Let's just say not a lot of "parenting" will be happening. Whitney is spontaneous and energetic, and that's reflected in the way she takes care of her child. She takes the child with her everywhere, and I mean everywhere. To the gym, the baseball field, the mall, the beach, to run errands, to hang out with friends. Whitney loves them to the moon and back, but she'd end up treating them more like an accessory than a human at times.
Whitney would make absolute certain that the child will always look and feel their very best. Lots of cute clothes and accessories, the best skin and hair care products on the market, and a lifetime membership to whatever the Pokémon equivalent of the YMCA is. Of course, all of those burnt calories are nullified by the amount of sweets Whitney shoves down their throat. She likes to spoil and be spoiled. What can she say?
Whitney is prone to crying and, well, tantrums. She's a very emotional person in general, so if the child is upset and crying, she ends up crying too. Whitney tries to keep herself together for their sake, she really does, but seeing her little angel break down tears her heart to pieces. She'll panic, which sometimes makes things worse, but she'll do absolutely whatever she physically can to calm them (both) down and make them happy again. In the end, Whitney figures out a routine and is able to calm them down quicker whilst also keeping her cool. Maybe she's not so bad at this whole parent thing after all.
Very protective of them. They're her little baby, why wouldn't she be? If Whitney spots anyone being mean to her kid, cute little immature Whitney vanishes and she goes full mama bear. And if God forbid a person or Pokémon tries to physically threaten them? They get a taste of Miltank's most powerful Rollout. She can come across at times like a helicopter parent. It's not that she doesn't trust the child, it's that she's genuinely interested in their life and wants to be able to connect with them. Friends, hobbies, likes and dislikes, she wants to know it all. Helps with picking out birthday gifts, too!
*•.¸❀
❀ Candice
10/10 soccer mom. Probably the most experienced (and most normal) caregiver on this list, though Skyla would be a close second. Anyway, Candice takes her role as a parent very seriously. She'd buy several books on parenting and even take a few parenting classes. She wants her child to have the best life they possibly can.
Candice wants her child to live and grow from their experiences. She's not the type to throw them out of the nest and leave them to their own devices, of course, but she'd try to teach them independence to the best of her abilities. This is a little easier said than done at the start considering the child's background, but Candice is willing to put in the work to help them thrive.
Snow hikes, ice skating, sledding, Candice would make sure that the child stays active and healthy. She'd make sure they were the only ones around if the child was too anxious to be around other people. Afterwards, she'd treat them to a nice big mug of hot cocoa.
I can see her homeschooling the child for the first year or two after the adoption, to help them adjust before throwing them into another unfamiliar situation. You'd think that she'd be running short on time thanks to her juggling her job as a gym leader, her social life, hobbies and now a child, but somehow she manages. Candice is pretty intelligent, so educating the child wouldn't be too big of a challenge. Additionally, she'd enroll them in any extracurricular activity they show interest in so they'd get some social interaction, though she'd try to find groups that were a bit on the smaller side at first to avoid them becoming stressed out.
Walkie-talkies would be kept on Candice's and the child's nightstands in case they're woken up from nightmares or have an anxiety attack and need comfort. Candice can wake up in an instant, so it's no bother to her. She'll stay up as long as they need, talking to them, listening to them ramble, or telling them stories. She wants them to know that they can rely on her, and that she'd never find them annoying or a burden.
*•.¸❀
❀ Elesa
Elesa has virtually zero experience with children, but not because she dislikes them. She likes kids, thinks they're fun. I picture her as somewhat of a vodka aunt. Always showering her child with gifts and trying to prioritize being cool and fun so they don't find her annoying.
To expand on that last part, Elesa is rich, that goes without saying. She could afford practically anything the kid wanted. They want these specific snacks from Johto? Elesa will buy them a month's supply. They're too anxious to play outside with the other kids? Elesa hired the best architects in the region to build them an indoor jungle gym. Not to mention that she made sure to hire a great therapist to help the child through their trauma.
Unfortunately due to both of Elesa's jobs being extremely demanding and time consuming, she's rarely ever home. She hates this knowing how upset the child gets when she's not around. To at least attempt to remedy this, once she's on break she will immediately start a video call with them to check in. She would also make sure they were surrounded with stuff to keep them busy, whether it be toys, games, books, movies or Pokémon to keep them company.
Elesa doesn't mind being woken up in the middle of the night from nightmares, as she's used to functioning on little sleep anyway. She'll invite them into her bed with her and lay their head on her chest, ask them to tell her about their nightmare as she gently runs her fingers through their hair to calm them down. Being a model is a stressful job, with having to deal with everyone's expectations of her to be perfect, so she understands stress and anxiety. If the child is too nervous to sleep alone, Elesa will wrap them in the softest blanket she has and let them cling to her arm for the rest of the night.
Elesa is very gentle and patient with them, especially at first, but she isn't going to let the child continue to live in fear for the rest of their life. She won't push them beyond their limits, but in the rare moments when she has some time to spare, she'll take them out on walks or to visit the amusement park. The world is so beautiful and has so much to offer, and she wants her child to be able to experience all of the wonder and good the world has to offer. Like previously mentioned, Elesa hired a therapist for them, and is also willing to do everything she can to help them heal.
*•.¸❀
❀ Skyla
Second best parent on the list. Incredibly bright and optimistic, Skyla can rather effortlessly turn anyone's negative mood into a positive one. Though the child's case is a little more than a "bad mood," Skyla is patient enough to take any issue that arises head on and with the utmost care. She's always liked kids, always treated them with kindness and respect, never talking down to them or belittling them because of their age. Children are humans too, just because they're young and still learning does not mean that they are stupid or that their feelings don't matter, Skyla believes this wholeheartedly.
The child is on a set schedule that prioritizes both health and fun. Early mornings with breakfasts that contain lots of fruit, then afterwards a morning ride in Skyla's airplane. Most of their time during the day is spent either outside or in the gym. Fresh air is good for the mind and body, and so is being around Pokémon! That's what Skyla thinks at least. Of course, if it all gets too overwhelming, Skyla will take the child to the gym's break room for a little recuperation. In the evening, the child is free to do whatever they please - within reason, of course. Skyla always makes sure to be nearby in case she's needed, but learning some independence early on never hurts.
Skyla spends a lot of time with her friends. She's a social butterfly, and maintaining her friendships is very important to her. She wants the child to have that kind of experience as well, so she'd encourage them to join clubs or attend camps. Sometimes, she'd bring them along on shopping dates with Elesa and Caitlin, who were both completely on board with taking the child to as many clothing stores as possible to play dress up. Not only does the child have a caring mother, but two aunts who love to spoil them.
Also gets the child in therapy immediately. Skyla's smart, but she's no professional when it comes to children's mental health, and she knows this. She wants her baby to be healthy and happy, after all. Whenever they have a panic attack, Skyla makes sure to remain as calm as possible, and carefully walk them through it. Do they need water? Do they need to go somewhere quieter? Do they want a hug? No matter how they respond, Skyla stays gentle with them. It's not their fault that they feel this way, or that the adults around them failed them. Skyla's heart aches for the poor thing, and she'll do whatever she can to help them recover from their trauma.
*•.¸❀
❀ Hilda
I wouldn't exactly call Hilda "motherly," but I'd say that "sisterly" would be an apt description. She's... well, a bit of a meathead. Her fiery personality can leave people a little winded after meeting her, especially if they aren't as passionate about battling as she is. Despite how seemingly one track minded she is, I firmly believe that she would take on the role of a caretaker instantly if a child needed her help. She'd just be a little clumsy at first, but thankfully, she has friends like Hilbert, N (who would also be a bit clueless, but would try his best to help), Bianca and Cheren, ESPECIALLY Cheren.
As soon as they were old enough, Hilda would take them to Professor Juniper (or Bianca) to receive their partner Pokémon. As I said, Hilda is very passionate about battling, and would want to share her interests with the child. Even if they're not particularly interested in it, a Pokémon would still be able to protect them if the need arises.
Every weekend, Hilda would take them out to get Casteliacones. I mean, who doesn't like ice cream? It would be a good way to bond, while also gently reintroducing them to public spaces. If they were too shy and nervous to order themselves, Hilda would have no issue ordering for them. She hoped that her confidence would one day rub off on them, but until then, she didn't mind if they hid behind her. She promised to protect them no matter what, and she never goes back on her word.
I'm not gonna lie, I don't think Hilda would even notice the nightmares at first. Girl sleeps like a ROCK. She would one morning notice how groggy and sickly the child looked and would ask what was wrong. When they tell her that they had a nightmare and weren't able to wake her up, she'd feel terrible. After that, she'd ask every night if they wanted one of her Pokémon to snuggle with. Emboar was big, but very warm, Ursaring was also huge, but its fur was soft and you could also count on it to keep you safe, and Musharna would be able to keep the nightmares at bay.
Hilda wouldn't know how to respond to the anxiety attacks at first. Her knee-jerk reaction would be to hug them, but was later told by Cheren that that could make it worse by making them feel suffocated. Instead, she opted for sitting down next to them, letting them cry it out, and quietly telling them that everything was going to be okay, that she would always stay by their side. It's one of those rare moments where Hilda is softer and quieter. She loves this kid so much, and all she wants is to help them feel better. Normally she would rush into things without a second thought, but this isn't the sort of thing you can speedrun, and she knows that. This time, she'll be patient.

Hazbin Pokemon (Part 1)
So I had a few ideas on pokemon teams around the Hazbin community and while some have interesting theories as to why, others are just based on either personality or what I could picture them with in a personal sense. So let's start with the Morningstar Family: (NOTE I may change some of Lilith's later on but I'm generally happy with Lucifer and Charlie's team of choice) Lucifer: Uxie -> Legends aren't technically legends for Angels so why can't they own them. Anyway, Uxie is the being/creator of knowledge, what was Lucifer sent down to hell for. Basically giving humans free will and the knowledge to use it. Uxie just seemed fitting. Reshiram -> The Dragon of Truth, again kind of self explanatory, for Lucifer he keeps him as a reminder that he made the choices he did and the truth is, they weren't all good choices. Reshiram is both a memory of the good and bad parts of him but he still holds it very dear to him. Pidgeot (Shiny) -> A golden giant cockatiel like bird, need I say more?, Honestly I just think it works but it's not my main bird for an obvious reason, you'll see who though shortly. Dubwool -> It's a cute goat/ram pokemon. Again nough said, I don't really have a reason behind this one, I just couldn't not add a goat like pokemon to his team. Hydrapple (Shiny) -> The golden apple, originally started off as an Applin but with time he got a strong shiny apple hydra. Cause why not? SirFetch'd (Shiny) -> Shiny golden duck, again need I say more, why wouldn't he have this golden boy. Yes it is his ace he often sends out in a panic. -------
Lilith: (Her team may change with time. I am open to suggestions) Azelf -> Having the will power to do whatever she wants in the palm of her hand. Depending on how she uses it will determine her path though. Meloetta -> A beautiful pokemon with an equally beautiful voice. (This one may change) Zoroark (Hisuian) -> A shapeshifting pokemon who looks quite haunting but quite beautiful too. Darkrai -> A pokemon that is given an equally bad rep and can cause quite horrifying nightmares, maybe even trap you in your own worst nightmare. Friend or foe, for her sake you better be a friend. Primarina -> Another angelic pokemon with a beautiful voice. Tends to be one of her main she uses far more often then Meloetta. Milotic -> Again just another beautiful and hard to obtain pokemon. -------
Charlie: Minun & Plusle (These are illusions, their true forms are Latios and Latias) -> These are Charlie's main supporters and protectors. If you see her out, these are usually the two you see with her the most, many have underestimated them and regretted it. Sylveon -> Honestly who doubted this?, an Eevee she genuinely couldn't decide what to evolve into so she just spent her time loving her little cutie for what she was and ended up with a Sylveon much later. Yes she is indeed spoiled. This is Charlie's main that she uses in battle. Togekiss -> Another pokemon mostly evolved out of love and admiration. Charlie hardly uses him but that doesn't seem to bother them at all. Bewear (Shiny) -> If Charlie was honest she had gotten this little one when it was a cute Stuffle, never really thinking just how big it'd get when she'd evolve. Yes Bewear loves Charlie and tends to be the most cuddly of her team. Bewear is also insanely protective of Charlie too, but don't worry she just gives people hugs of warning, bone crushing hugs of warning. Marowak (Hisuian) -> Honestly this one was just Charlie's bleeding heart taking in a crying Cubone, maybe a bit out of her own self need to help others and knowing exactly what it's like to not really have her folks around. Was she expecting him to evolve into a bone throwing little menace. No, does she loev him less for it, of course not.
Next up: Angels and Exorcists. (If you're interested or have suggestions feel free to comment or reblog)

Making a Xenoverse X PMD au. Kay-Flareon Alice-Sylveon Trey-Zoroark Aster-Suicune Basil-Oranguru Ginger-Lucario Vanilla-Toxel Nuptar-Milotic Casper-Trevenant Wallace daddy-Exploud Henna-Pyroar(F) LT Surge-Electivire Victor-(Aholan) Persian Dahlia-Liepard A + B-Bisharp S-Kingambit Vakuum-Silvally Willow(My oc)-(Hisuian) Zoroark
Sounds cool, I imagine Kay being the hero (player character), and then the partner is either a Trishout, Shyleon or Shulong, X Pikachu being Alice’s partner, Aster is alone, Trey’s partner is Sabolt, idk much about Willow so I can’t decide, if it was an actual game i imagine that maybe the protagonist is a chosen one by luxflon & either they’re Versil’s adopted child & were humans in the past or they weren’t humans, either way they end up meeting their partner (i would say Shyleon cuz i feel like he deserves my love too) & they form a team together, Aster is someone who helps them sometimes (like in the original Pokemon xenoverse game), Alice & X pikachu has their own team called “BlueHeart” (based off the fact that the colour symbolising Xenoverse is blue & X Pikachu’s design which has heart on it if i remember correctly), Versil & the entire team dimension crew is still team dimension & they’re like Munna’s crew in gates to infinity (they aren’t necessarily evil & think that they’re doing the right thing but they are actually harming anyone including themselves), Trey ran away from team dimension alongside Sabolt & formed a team called “BoltStrike” (yeah, edgy name), he never told anyone about his past until the climax, so basically i’ll go with Kay being adopted by Versil, Versil then one day disappears & then he heads on a journey to search for him, at a certain point he gets attacked by a team dimension member (btw, team dimension are unofficial team, unlike most teams in the mystery dungeon where they becomes a official team that helps people) and then Shyleon saves him & then they become friends & they soon meet Aster, who says that Versil was his mentor & that he also tries to help find him & then with the help of Aster, Kay & Shyleon form a team & then goes on a journey, i’ll skip to the climax, so basically the main threat is Dragalisk, team dimension kidnaps Shyleon & Sabolt & Kay and Trey has to save them, Kay & his friends (all the characters you mentioned that aren’t from team dimension & Trey) goes to save them & stop their evil plans (team dimension kidnapped them because of their energy in them so they can open a portal to the xenoverse) & then they all reach Versil, who explains them everything & then he fights Kay & his friends & they defeat him easily, but he isn’t about to give up, he then makes Shyleon & Sabolt open up a portal for him & goes to the xenoverse, Shyleon was horrified by what just happened but Sabolt gives a look of mix between depression & calm look & says that team dimension treated him & Trey much horribly and this is where Trey has to reveal that he was once part of team dimension but due to the horrible treatment they got they ran away & then the crew heads to the xenoverse & there all the Dragalisk battle happened just like in the actual xenoverse game & then when Luxflon opens a portal for the crew Trey does the same suicide thing he does in the actual game & then when they return there is the ending credits (yes, im explaining it as if its a game) & then an epilogue where Sabolt, Shyleon & Kay has to deal with the fury energy threat & then Vakuum is the main threat & he tries to kill them but then in an epic battle, there is the same thing with the memories from Kay & Shyleon’s friends & adventure like in pass 5 of Xenoverse & then they beat Vakuum & Luxflon then revives Trey for them, the end

how was old eevolves like?
It was written by an 11 year old. And it shows.
Shun had both Naruto and Avatar powers (he could bend all 4 elements and do Ninja Jutsu/control his chakra). And was a Mary Sue. I focused so much on Shun x May that it seemed like they were the main characters and everyone else was a side character. Eve’s dolls in ssec were in old Eevolves but Ruby owned them. Ofc, no June. Shun made them and they could talk because ofc they can. Sylveon wasn’t a thing when I wrote old Eevolves so Ruby liked Randy and there was no love triangle there. Max was never in the series cause him and his best friend Jax went away to learn ninjutsu from a Naruto ninja master. He wanted to get stronger so April will notice him. Which he did. Ex (or X) was an evil shiny Umbreon named UMBREON X and he was obsessed with Flora and he led a group of shiny Pokémon that terrorized everywhere, and ofc, Mary Shun had to stop him with his cool bad ass Naruto powers. Umbreon X also eventually got April Pregnant. Why April? She had nothing going for her so I thought it’ll bring her back into the story. It didn’t. :V She ended up hiding the baby from everyone. I forgot her son’s name. It’s probably Keith. Keith won’t be in New Eevolves and April is not getting pregnant either. Randy was a runt (like Vay is) and apparently it was Shun’s fault???? Idk. They had a big fight about it (with curse words and all) and Mary Shun with all his edge on display was like “ya…… come with me…….” “Leafeon……. It’s my fault….”. Randy is still oblivious as Ever with how Ruby feels about him, and only realizes when she heard her tell someone else. When he confronts her about this, she lists off the whole cast, saying the Eevolves main characters by their Eeveelution name but every other Eeveelution character by their actual name.
Mary Shun (who was Literally Black from ES but more Emo and Edgy) got super emo around May, so he leaves and May is heart broken for years until a kind Glaceon boy made her happy again and when Shun comes back against his will she still chooses SHUN AND NOT THE CUTE NICE GLACEON BOY WHO HELPED HER THROUGH ALL HER SAD TIMES. (The cute Glaceon character is in new Eevolves too, trying to find a name for him because I don’t remember his old name.) Speaking about Mary Shun, he at the ripe age of 12, had a mate and a child on the way, but both were killed by a Pokémon attack right in front of him (Ofc he killed the Pokémon who did it afterwards) and that is how he became edgy mc Edgelord. Also he borderline hated May and always told her to leave him alone and insulted things she liked. But OFC he had a soft spot for her cause she reminded him of his dead wife *eye roll* literal Tsundere. There is a picture I drew of him and said dead wife, they look like adults. Randy is playing a game with Ruby next to them and they look like literal babies. These characters are NOT THAT FAR IN AGE FROM EACHOTHER. Also ofc there are Eevolves kids too, they have their OWN drama. And one of them ofc is a Ninjutsu master at the ripe age of 4 years old. (Eevolves uses human aging, not SSEC aging btw). Everyone had dead or missing parents. Flora and Max’s parents died in a fire, April and May’s mom died and their dad was missing, Jet never knew his parents, Ruby’s parent abandoned her, Shun and Randy’s parents- are actually alive but Shun disowned them along with his older brother. So they were mostly living on their own. From a young age. No family or cousins or anything. Max evolved into a Jolteon btw.
BRO I JUST FOUND AN IMAGE OF MAY SAYING “WANNA BE THE SANTA IN MY SLEIGH” TO SHUN WUT LOLLLLLLLLLLL HELP I WROTE THIS WHEN I WAS 11
All of this ofc. Is changing.
I feel like the only thing not changing completely is Jet’s backstory, because HONESTLY. It’s the most grounded. I completely overhauled Shun’s personality, gave April more personality, changed everything with Max, gave them actual parental figures (well not Shun, his Parents stays borderline disowned, but the rest do have parental figures) and in general made the story like- not seem like it was written by a 11 year old.

you know what? Fuck it. Currently at the vet for my Ivysaur (yearly checkup) and I'm bored, so I'm going to just answer literally all of them, because why not.
Kinda breaking the rules of an ask game but idc.
01: Do you have a good relationship with your parents?
Answer 01: Absolutely not.
-
02: Who did you last say “I love you” to?
Answer 02: do Pokemon count? I said " love you" to my Ivysaur as he was put under for the checkup (he, uh, really doesn't like the vet and gets very angry, so they have to actively sedate him)
-
03: Do you regret anything?
Answer 03: I've got quite a large amount of regrets, here and there, but nothing I'm comfortable with sharing in great detail.
-
04: Are you insecure?
Answer 04: Not really.
-
05: What is your relationship status?
Answer 05: Manwhore /j. Jokes aside, I'm single but not looking for a serious relationship- at all.
-
06: How do you want to die?
Answer 06: Surrounded by friends and Pokemon.
-
07: What did you last eat?
Answer 07: Grilled Magikarp, alongside grilled Farfetch leek and a grilled mushroom.
-
08: Played any sports?
answer 08: not really, but that's mainly because I didn't have a normal childhood.
-
09: Do you bite your nails?
Answer 09: When I don't have access to nail clippers and they're getting longer than they should be, I do.
-
10: When was your last physical fight?
Answer 10: I punched someone who was very clearly not taking care of their Sylveon.
-
11: Do you like someone?
Answer 11: Romantically? No. Sexually? Yes.
-
12: Have you ever stayed up 48 hours?
Answer 12: Just so many times.
-
13: Do you hate anyone at the moment?
Answer 13: Yes, actually. I without a doubt hate the leaders of nearly every single "Team" out there, alongside the bitch behind the Aether Foundation.
-
14: Do you miss someone?
Answer 14: Yes, many people in fact. I've had to leave many friends behind during my travels due to my lifestyle. I've got at least one friend in almost every major region, usually several more.
-
15: Have any pets?
Answer 15: ...Yes? Is that really necessary to ask when almost everyone has some form of Pokemon or another?
-
16: How exactly are you feeling at the moment?
Answer 16: Bored, yet simultaneously overwhelmed due to thinking about the pretty crazy events of the last few days.
-
17: Ever made out in the bathroom.
Answer 17: Yes. I will not expand on that.
-
18: Are you scared of spiders?
Answer 18: No.
-
19: Would you go back in time if you were given the chance?
Answer 19: Im a firm believer of living in the moment, and I fully understand the theoretical consequences of time travel; So, no. Absolutely not.
-
20: Where was the last place you snogged someone?
Answer 20: In the middle of a forest, with no one else around besides the girl I was with. It was nice, peaceful, and isolated from all of the issues and problems I deal with on a daily basis.
-
21: What are your plans for this weekend?
Answer 21: To figure out what the fuck is going on with that mysterious Professor Eden.
-
22: Do you want to have kids? How many?
Answer 22: No.
-
23: Do you have piercings? How many?
Answer 23: No.
-
24: What is/are/were your best subject(s)?
Answer 24: I don't remember, honestly.
-
25: Do you miss anyone from your past?
Answer 25: Yes. As mentioned earlier, I miss quite a few friends that I've had over the years.
-
26: What are you craving right now?
Answer 26: Nothing, really. I've already eaten.
-
27: Have you ever broken someone’s heart?
Answer 27: Yes. Even despite me being relatively young, I've loved a lot of women and, uh, pretty much each time, I've made mistakes and had to leave. And even in the relationships I didn't make mistakes in, I was always too afraid of that kind of commitment to stick around.
-
28: Have you ever been cheated on?
Answer 28: No.
-
29: Have you made a boyfriend/girlfriend cry?
Answer 29: ...Yes. It ties directly into my answer to question 27. I've made severe fuckups, and I'm going to be real, I've never been the nicest human being. I eventually decided to just stop trying to date anyone.
-
30: What’s irritating you right now?
Answer 30: How long this appointment is taking tbh. Also my own speculation and confusion about the entire Professor Eden situation is frustrating me.
-
31: Does somebody love you?
Answer 31: Romantically? I highly doubt it. Platonically? Yes.

32: What is your favourite color?
Answer 32: Most people REALLY don't expect this, but my favorite color is a tie between yellow and purple- though purple is kinda really common for people interested in Ghost types.
-
33: Do you have trust issues?
Answer 33: Just so many.
-
34: Who/what was your last dream about?
Answer 34: Can't remember the exacts, but it was a nightmare brought up on by one of my Ghost Pokemon. Not sure which one it was but it usually only happens if they themselves are having a nightmare (yes, some Ghost types sleep). All I recall was that it was in a forest at dusk and ominous as fuck.
-
35: Who was the last person you cried in front of?
Answer 35: A very, very close friend of mine, who's name I'm not going to mention for sake of privacy. They've legitimately followed my dumb, wandering ass from region to region. We've got a bit of a game we play where, naturally, we arrive in a region at the same time and whoever finds the other first gets their drinks paid for.
Anyway, the reason why I cried was because of a very intense heart to heart about some issues we both experienced in our pasts.
-
36: Do you give out second chances too easily?
Answer 36: Nope. I don't really believe in handing out second chances like that.
-
37: Is it easier to forgive or forget?
Answer 37: ...I hold grudges. Neither is easy for me, but it's easier to forgive, because I rarely ever forget.
-
38: Is this year the best year of your life?
Answer 38: Nah, but I'm not gonna let that stop me.
-
39: How old were you when you had your first kiss?
Answer 39: Fairly young, at around 14 or 15 years of age.
-
40: Have you ever walked outside completely naked?
Answer 40: Firstly, what the fuck is this question? Secondly, yes. I occasionally bathe in lakes and ponds I come across on my travels, and one time I had to chase down a Purrloin that stole the clothes I was going to change into.
-
51: Favourite food?
Answer 51: Spaghetti. When made extremely well, it's the most delicious food you'll ever have. Especially if it's got cayan pepper and various other spices put into the sauce. The spices and herbs have to be added to the sauce while it's simmering, and it's generally a good idea to add a pinch of brown sugar or two to cut the natural acidity of tomatoes. Don't overdo it though, or it'll be the most foul tasting shit you've ever eaten.
-
52: Do you believe everything happens for a reason?
Answer 52: Absolutely not.
-
53: What is the last thing you did before you went to bed last night?
Answer 53: Let my Trevenant outside. It was scratching at the door, which reminded me that I had forgotten to let it out for the night.
-
54: Is cheating ever okay?
Answer 54: No.
-
55: Are you mean?
Answer 55: As I said, I'm not the nicest person ever. I try not to be an asshole but being standoffish and dickish comes natural to me at some times, for some reason. I guess I've just got a bunch of issues, really; I'm a very flawed human being.
-
56: How many people have you fist fought?
Answer 56: I think twice or thrice. I had to beat the hell out of my older brother when I still lived with my family. I was ambushed by a couple of thugs one time and fought a bit before managing to get past them and run away. And that's all the major ones I recall. I also punched the guy neglecting his Sylveon, which I mentioned earlier, but that wasn't much of a fight.
-
57: Do you believe in true love?
Answer 57: I wish I did. The world would be a significantly better place if true love was a thing between people.
-
58: Favourite weather?
Answer 58: I like it when it rains on a cloudy, autumn day. That's the best weather imo.
-
59: Do you like the snow?
Answer 59: No.
-
60: Do you wanna get married?
Answer 60: No.
-
61: Is it cute when a boy/girl calls you baby?
Answer 61: It depends? But I am far from looking like someone that could reasonably be called "baby".
-
62: What makes you happy?
Answer 62: Hanging out in nature with friends and Pokemon.
-
63: Would you change your name?
Answer 63: I already changed my surname, but I'd never change my first name.
-
64: Would it be hard to kiss the last person you kissed?
Answer 64: ...Yes.
-
65: Your best friend of the opposite sex likes you, what do you do?
Answer 65: I'd have no choice but to friendzone her.
-
66: Do you have a friend of the opposite sex who you can act your complete self around?
Answer 66: No.
-
67: Who was the last person of the opposite sex you talked to?
Answer 67: The person at the front desk of the hotel I'm staying in.
-
68: Who’s the last person you had a deep conversation with?
Answer 68: Professor Eden. A.k.a the bitch that may or may not have almost stolen my Marshadow. It was about how literally all Pokemon are related in some way, and something about how it's theoretically possible to use one Pokemon's genetics to "fix" other Pokemon in some way. Not sure what that even meant or how that'd work but I was probably just too dumb to understand.
-
69: Do you believe in soulmates?
Answer 69: No.
-
70: Is there anyone you would die for?
Answer 70: Yes. All of my Pokemon and all of my friends, honestly.
70 horrible questions ... Fuck it
01: Do you have a good relationship with your parents?
02: Who did you last say “I love you” to?
03: Do you regret anything?
04: Are you insecure?
05: What is your relationship status?
06: How do you want to die?
07: What did you last eat?
08: Played any sports?
09: Do you bite your nails?
10: When was your last physical fight?
11: Do you like someone?
12: Have you ever stayed up 48 hours?
13: Do you hate anyone at the moment?
14: Do you miss someone?
15: Have any pets?
16: How exactly are you feeling at the moment?
17: Ever made out in the bathroom?
18: Are you scared of spiders?
19: Would you go back in time if you were given the chance?
20: Where was the last place you snogged someone?
21: What are your plans for this weekend?
22: Do you want to have kids? How many?
23: Do you have piercings? How many?
24: What is/are/were your best subject(s)?
25: Do you miss anyone from your past?
26: What are you craving right now?
27: Have you ever broken someone’s heart?
28: Have you ever been cheated on?
29: Have you made a boyfriend/girlfriend cry?
30: What’s irritating you right now?
31: Does somebody love you?

I'm Surviving My College Class by Making a Madame Bovary Pokemon AU
Amongst other things.
For people who have never taken a college literature class, Madame Bovary is a novel about a woman who marries the stupidest doctor in all the land, has two different affairs, never finds fulfillment, buys a bunch of shit to make herself feel richer, drags her family into debt, and then commits suicide to escape it. Her husband never figures out even half of it until the last chapter.
I'm going under the assumption that- in this AU- most people only have enough money to care for one Pokemon. Exception being the Bovary family- as Emma's Pokemon came with her into the marriage- and a character I believe could afford to feed two.
Emma Bovary- F Eevee -> Leafeon. She popped up on the farm fairly recently, eating whatever she could find. Emma hoped she would become a Sylveon or Espeon- perhaps an Umbreon under the full moon. None of these things happen because she moves to Yonville (that's the town's actual canonical name). It is known for its agriculture, so Eevee- influenced by this environment- evolves into a Leafeon. She becomes yet another symbol of the life Emma hates, and she eventually disowns the Pokemon. Brokenhearted, Leafeon's leaves slowly turn orange. Unlike her mistress, she survives (because I am not that evil) but is a broken-hearted- if rare- autumn variant. However...
Bethe Bovary- F Leafeon (autumn variant). This is the same one mentioned above, who returns and protects her mistress's daughter. Bethe is a baby in the actual book, but in this AU, I wanted to go a little further in time to her childhood. She appreciates Leafeon more than her mother did. While her leaves never heal, her heart does.
Charles Bovary- M Slowpoke -> Slowbro. All you need to know about this man is he is an insufferable dumbass, who can't even tell his wife is cheating on him and leaking all their money. He heard while in medical school that Slowpoke is good for treating illness with its psychic powers (source- the rumor mill, made of other students). Because he's too much of an idiot to figure out trade evolutions, he couldn't evolve Slowpoke into a Slowking. Slowbro is cheerful and helpful, but kinda dumb, and definitely useless in medical situations.
Lheureux- M Alolan Meowth. The only winner in the story, a task he succeeds at by putting the Bovarys in serious debt. A Meowth was the only Pokemon that made any sense. He mostly sulks around, playing with whatever coins his Trainer happens to drop. I chose Alolan Meowth because you're telling me this man wouldn't have a Dark-type? Speaking of...
Rodolphe: F Liepard and M Murkrow. This guy's just an asshole. He's affair number two, and leads Emma along until he realizes that she's a human with flaws. Liepard is his main Pokemon- a former show mon who looks pretty and fierce, but doesn't battle well. Murkrow is used for delivering letters and packages.
Homais: M Loudred. These two literally have the same personality. Loudred agrees with everything Homais says. Even if you can't understand him, he makes sure everyone in Yonville can hear his approval. Kinda like Slowbro, but Slowbro is benign while this guy can break windows.
Leon: M Vulpix -> Ninetales. Affair number 1. He was hard to pick a Pokemon for. But I was thinking of Fire-types (because of a certain Galarian champion) and selected for Vulpix. This man believes he's a romantic, but is actually rather self-absorbed. He still manages to treat Vulpix well. There's a point where he nopes off to another town, where he comes across a Fire Stone. By the time he comes back into the story, Vulpix has evolved. He is furiously protective of his Trainer.
Hippolyte: M Bonsly -> Sudowoodo. Not a major character, but I LOVE therapy Pokemon. In the actual book, Hippolyte is subject to a surgery to cure club foot, despite being able to walk fine. It goes wonky and he loses his leg. It is shortly after this that he encounters Bonsly. With love and care, it becomes Sudowoodo. Sudowoodo serves as a makeshift cane, helping his Trainer get around.
Beggar: M Gastly. Also not a major character, but I wanted to give him a Ghost-type to sing creepy songs with.
#tw suicide#canonical character death#tw animal abuse#typical for pokemon canon#tw albiesm#for the hippolyte situation#tw amputation#trigger warnings are for the original book#except for animal abuse which is pokemon based#fix it#a little#i'm sure i missed people i used sparknotes for this#and memories from a past read#i now need autumn variant leafeon to be real

This isn’t my usual Maribat, but I am testing out a new story just to get the creative juices flowing. This is a One Piece and Pokémon crossover, starring a Sylveon named Fae. Based off of/inspired by “the smallest straw hat” on fanfiction.net. It’s a new style and type of story from my usual, but I wanted to try it out. I love “The Smallest Straw Hat,” and I couldn’t help but wanna try out my own addition to the world, even if it isn’t canon. And I... kinda love Sylveon? like a lot?
—*—*—*—*—*
Everyone has their stereotypes about the color pink. And bows. Girly, they say with either fondness or disgust. Childish, they say with either nostalgia or scorn. Weak, they say. Because apparently “childish” and “girly” are both synonymous with “this thing/person is powerless,” or “useless,” or “worthless.”
Heh. I parade down the streets of the latest town I managed to reach, ears and tail raised high in show of my pride to be pink. Sure, I had my natural bows of fur that were just, well, part of me. And sure, I was mostly pink and white. But such was the design of every Sylveon, and most of my race were actually male. So. Everyone who immediately wrote us, and by extension me, off as being a girl just because of my appearance royally pissed me off.
I was proud to be pink. Nobody in their right mind, who knew anything about Pokémon, dared to treat a Sylveon as a weakling.
If they did, I’d make sure they knew better soon enough.
But alas, I wasn’t anywhere near Home. Back Home, everyone knew about Pokémon. We are everywhere. But all the way out here, where I was sure hardly any other Pokémon have ever ventured? Not a single human seemed to know the word, and by extension the entire species, even existed. The animals out here were all…
Normal.
Even more normal than Normal types. It was… jarring, at first. But I got used to it after a while. Life on the oceans, jumping from island to island on whatever ship I could get on, was fun. Compared to back Home, the living things out here didn’t surprise me often. So I could just enjoy everything I saw and did.
After That Day, the pure-hearted adventure was welcome.
“What is that?” And here come the whispers. Humans don’t seem to change much, no matter where I go. Fingers pointed at me, not expecting me to be fully aware of what they were saying and doing, as I garnered stares just by walking down the street.
“Some kinda fox, it’s gotta be with those ears and snout. I’ve never seen a pink and white fox before though!”
“Those bows look so real, like they could be part of the thing’s body!”
“No way that’s a fox, it’s gotta be a weird cat!”
“Those are bunny ears. Maybe it’s a mutated rabbit!”
I ignored everyone. It wasn’t like they would understand me anyway. A few brave thugs tried to tackle and grab me, but I’m no hatchling. I easily pranced and jumped out of their grasp, humming a random tune under my breath as I did so. Figuring a little fun wouldn’t hurt, I chanced them a little wink and channeled a bit of my charm. The weak-willed dolts were slumped in a pile in seconds, too enamored by my cuteness to even move. Chuckling, I just turned and pranced away.
Humans really never change.
Screams erupted, making me pause. I whipped my head around, trying to find the source of the sound. It was accompanied by the crackling of flames and thumps of heavy things being knocked over.
Too familiar. Too, too familiar.
I grit my jaw, turning as soon as I located the direction the cacophony was coming from and running straight for it. I might be a Pokémon, but I couldn’t stand screams. I failed my Home, my family. I was damned if I didn’t try my best not to fail people in peril again. Even if it was just humans, I had to try to help.
I had to.
Such was part of the reason I traveled. I was enjoying my adventure, sure, but there were two other reasons I didn’t try to head back Home. One; I was searching for someone. Two; as soon as I realized that Pokémon didn’t exist outside of Home, I decided I had to use my powers to help anyone I could. Heh. Guess a certain old friend of mine rubbed off on me, now I’m running into danger constantly without any plans. They’d be so proud.
Sliding around a corner, I finally saw it. Almost an entire street was aflame, the flags that flew just off the shore stopping me in my tracks for a second.
Marines.
I had spent enough time out on the seas to know how corrupt the supposed “good guys,” could be. Hiding under my breath, I ran toward the first burning building I could see. If there was anyone stuck inside, I had to get to them. But as I got to the door, I had to stumble back to avoid being trampled as a large, blond man came out carrying two passed out bodies over his shoulders. My squeak of surprise apparently caught his attention, and for a moment his black eyes met mine. He paused, scanning the street for a second before continuing on.
I followed him. I don’t know why, but something told me he got everyone left in that building, and was trying to finish getting those last two to safety. Regardless, I had no idea what was going on and he seemed to. For now, I’d get my cues from him.
He made his way to a large ship with a dragon figurehead, and I leapt to hide behind the corner of a not-burning building to watch as he handed the wounded people on his shoulders off to apparent allies of his before he took off again. Once more, I followed. This time, before he could even touch the door to another building that was on fire, I beat him there.
I let my ribbons expand, feeling as they started to glow. The light attracted his attention soon enough, making the man pause. He put a hand on the pipe that I now noticed was on his back, but otherwise only watched me. Satisfied that he wasn’t going to attack, I focused back on the building and let the power from my ribbon-feelers build up in front of my snout. Opening my mouth, I set off the move with a roar. My voice was the final trigger, power blasting out from my mouth in the form of a giant storm of winds, clashing into each other and whirling madly until they hit the building. The force of my fairy wind put out the flames on the whole building, though it left me slightly short of breath. I turned my head back to the blond, nodding my head to the building.
He grinned at me, taking his hand off his pipe and rushing into the building without me having to try to get the message across a second time.
That was when the footsteps stole my attention, and I whirled around. A veritable army of Marines was headed straight for me— no, straight for the building I had just put out. They were after the blond man.
I felt a growl build up in the back of my throat, quickly separating my legs and taking a fighting stance. The blond was one of the few people I could see actually trying to help with this horrid situation, I wouldn’t let anyone get in his way! But if there’s one good thing about everything I’ve been through, it’s that fighting is nothing new to me. I’d take care of these jerks, and buy that blond guy time to save as many people as he could.
As usual, nobody seemed to take the sight of me seriously. The marines seemed just about ready to run me over, but I wasn’t about to allow that.
“Idiots. You won’t pass me!” I shouted, though all they heard was “Sylveon! Eon!”
Taking a deep breath, I once again channeled my power into my feelers. Letting them raise and float straight up in the air, I narrowed my eyes and sang the tune that came naturally to me at that point. My voice rang through the air as if there were no other sounds to muffle it, as if there were no screams or flames or crumbling buildings at all. As my short song echoed unnaturally across the street, a thick fog burst into being around my feet before quickly spreading until it covered the entire block and went ten feet high. Only the area directly behind me was spared, since I didn’t want to hinder the blond man that I was doing this to protect.
The magical cloud of fog was thick and almost viscous, and it merely swayed in place instead of moving like a normal fog. It hung there, taunting and obstructing the marine assholes caught inside. I could hear the fumbles and curses as they began to trip over on another, unable to get their bearings. But merely stalling them wasn’t enough. Steadying myself, it had been a while since I had had a proper fight, I raised my head and changed my tone. Focusing on the people I could feel trapped in my fog, I let loose a siren-like wail that I knew from experience burrowed itself into the brains of those that I targeted with it. It didn’t even take a second for the screams of pain to rise up from within the fog, but I knew that it wasn’t enough to knock any of them out.
I sighed; sure defending and attacking strategically was a strong point of mine, but that didn’t mean it was very exciting. I admit, I might have a bit of an adrenaline addiction. I like fighting up close, so what? But that wasn’t my job, right then I had to just stall these guys so that—
“I got them out, nice job,” the voice that came from behind me made me jump, and I turned around to see the very man I had decided to stall for. He grinned widely at me, his mouth almost making a full D shape. “These guys aren’t too strong, but they would have slowed me down for sure. But there were more people than I anticipated in those buildings, mind giving me a hand?” He jerked his head behind him. Blinking, I followed the gesture and almost fell over. At least ten people, all in various stages of injury or unconsciousness, were strewn on the sidewalk. No way that came all from the one building I put out! How fast was this guy?
A loud laugh drew my attention back to the blond, who was nearly doubled over with his cackling. “Y-y-you’re face! Hahahaha! Don’t be so surprised, little thing. I’m good at what I do. Now come on, think you can help me carry some of them? I think I can take four or five, how many can you get?”
I puffed out my cheeks, raising my head with a confident huff as I let my ribbons stretch out. “Sylvie!” These things aren’t just for show, ya know!
Walking forward and ignoring the heavy weight of the man’s stare as he watched me, I let each of my ribbons lift up two people each. The ones that were still conscious seemed to think that I was some fever dream, which at least kept them from struggling too much since they weren’t going to fight what they thought was a hallucination. I turned proudly, smiling at the man. See? Child’s play. You get the rest. “Eon? Sylvie Sylvie.”
He clearly didn’t understand me, but chuckled anyway. “Nice, you’re stronger than you look, for such a tiny thing,” watch it. “I’ll follow behind you with the rest, did you see the boat that I took the others to? Go there, my friends will know how to help these guys.”
I nodded, not waiting to see the blond grab the last three victims before I ran off in the direction of the dragon-designed ship. I actually scoffed a bit. No matter where I went, there was always something related to dragons. Why were humans so obsessed with those things anyway? They weren’t that impressive.
“Hey! What’re you doing with— oh, you’re handing them to me?” A girl with orange hair was waiting at the boarding platform for the ship, and seemed ready to fight until I all but shoved the people I was carrying at her. “Oh. Well, thanks?”
“Don’t worry, this little thing helped me out back there,” the blond had caught up, smiling at the woman as he handed off his own victims to someone else nearby. “Let’s get these guys to the infirmary, yeah? Wanna come with us, little one? The marines aren’t likely to forget you, you kinda stand out.”
I tilted my head. He had a point, I wasn’t exactly a stealthy Pokémon when it came to my appearance. And attacking marines was bound to get me in trouble later.
The blond seemed to notice my reluctance to just go off with strangers, and chuckled again before walking over and kneeling in front of me. “I guess it would help if I introduced myself, huh? You seem to understand me just fine. My name’s Sabo. I’m part of the revolutionary army, just like everyone on this ship,” he gestured to the boat behind him. “That girl is my friend Koala. What’s your name?”
“Sylveon.”
Sabo blinked, furrowing his brows a little. “Sylveon? What are you, then?”
“Sylveon,” honestly, dealing with humans who weren’t from Home was exhausting. Always the same questions, and I could never answer them any easier than I could before.
“Huh? Is that all you can say, your name?”
I huffed, already frustrated by this stupid language barrier. “Sylveon. Sylvi, syl, Eon. Sylveon.”
“So, Sylveon is the name of your species?” I nodded, close enough. “And that is all you can say? Variations of your name?” I nodded again. Finally, we were getting places. Sabo rocked back on his heels, humming as he observed me. “Can I call you Silky-Chan?”
Oh. Hell no. I growled, narrowing my eyes. Apparently that was amusing, because he just laughed at me.
“Come on, Silky-Chan. We can figure out more about you later, but we should go before they send stronger marines.”
I grumbled under my breath at the stupid nickname he gave me, but followed him on board anyway. If nothing else, he seemed interesting. I could always jump overboard when we got close to another island if I wanted to get away.

TR James x reader
Your POV
My boyfriend James is gone again to "work". I am curious to what he does for a living. I guess I can't be suspicious of him, I never told him my last name or anything about my family.
My name is Y/N Ketchum, older sister of Ash Ketchum who wants to be a Pokémon master.
While he got his Pikachu as a partner who didn't like him at first, my partner liked me immediately, becoming overprotective. My starter Pokémon that I first received was a male Riolu. Along the way, Riolu evolved into Lucario. We ended up bumping into Korrina, a gym leader and we became friends. She was about to give me another Lucario with Lucarionite but she saw my Lucario and just gave me the mega stone. Of course, I had to get one for myself and then something to put them in. I ended up getting Lucario a bracelet like Korrina's Lucario, and I got a ring. Anyways, today I am going to investigate, okay spy on my boyfriend to see what he does. My Lucario is coming along also, like he always does. Like my little bro's Pikachu, Lucario also doesn't like his pokeball.
Time skip
I see James getting together with Jessie and Meowth. I never liked Jessie simply because she is always around my boyfriend. Meowth was alright but he has an attitude. Seeing them grabbing a net, I pull Lucario and myself closer into the bushes. They start to creep up behind a group of trainers and then they threw the net on top of their Pokémon, trapping them and stealing them. Gasping, I look closer at the trainers. Spotting a familiar hat, I narrow my eyes.
Squeezing Lucario's wrist, I point to the boy who I found out to be my brother, Ash. Coming to a realization that I should help, I step out of the bushes, Lucario at my side, ready to protect me if necessary. “James! What on earth do you think you're doing?!" I screech, running to my brother's side and pulling him into a hug, glaring at my boyfriend. Looking at James, I see him shocked. Ash seems surprised that I am here and that I know who James is, and this ugly blonde girl is glaring at me for hugging Ash. “Ash are you okay?! Do you need help getting Pikachu back?" I ask, gripping my brother closer. Blondie just glares at me harder and I glare back. It seems James has recovered in the amount of time it took me to reassure Ash. “Y/N! What are you doing here?! And why are you defending that twerp!" He screams. I rest my chin on Ash's shoulder and sigh, waiting for Ash to say for me. “She's my sister." He says plainly. James falls to the floor along with Jessie and Meowth in shock.
Blondie is no longer glaring at me so that's good, I still hate her though. “James! Leave him alone! All of you stop doing this. I understand now that this is your job that you've been leaving to, but stop." I calmly stare. James and his friends just look back, grab the net, and release the Pokémon, feeling ashamed. “James, I still love you, but leave. I need to talk and catch up with Ash." I command. They nod and James runs up to me, kisses me, and runs off.
“You have some explaining to do." Ash says, half glaring at me. “Sooooo hekindasortamightbemyboyfriendthatihabebeentalkingabout." I rush. Ash's eyes harden and he reaches for his pokeball. “Alright bro, battle me to release tension. Oh and make it a double battle with Blondie on your side. You two against me." I confidently state. Ash just nods and Blondie glares at me. “You know, we're going to beat you. Ash is really strong and will defeat you." She whines. I just glare. “Who do you think taught him?" I counter. Ash's other friend, I believe Clemont is his name, took his stance and began reffing. “You are each allowed 3 Pokémon!" Clemont announces. I nod and wait to see what Pokémon my opponents send. Ash sends out a Talonflame and Blondie, or Serena sends out a Braixen. I sigh and look at my pokeballs. Grabbing one, I kiss it before I throw it onto the field. The red and white capsule bursts open and a Pokémon appears. Feraligatr lands on the ground with a thud, dust flying up. When the dust clears, Ash and Serena look at my giant crocodilian Pokémon. Both of their jaws drop and their Pokémon shake in fear. I forgot to tell Ash that I have more Pokémon than just Lucario. Feraligatr smirks and looks at me, nodding. “Feraligatr! Quickly use surf to get both of them!" I scream. He nods and a giant wave floods the field. It hits the opposing Pokémon and with a super effective type advantage, they are barely standing. “This is just sad!" I snicker. Feraligatr snorts and grunts in agreement. That seems to have triggered Ash since be called out an attack. “Talonflame don't be intimidated! We can still win this. It's two against one. Use double team and then steel wing!" He commands. Talonflame then becomes many and they all dive at Feraligatr, wings shining. “Focus! Find the real one and grab it in your jaws. Don't let go!" I say. Ash and Serena just laugh. “There's too many, your pokemon won't be able to tell." They say sneakily. “Just watch." I growl. Feraligatr looks around before settling his eyes on one Talonflame. As it gets closer, he jumps up and grabs it in his mouth, locking his jaw. Serena panics and commands Braixen to use ember. “Feraligatr, just ignore the stupid fox and use hydro pump." I yawn.
I smile as I see Serena get mad. Feraligatr nods and releases a giant stream of water onto Talonflame who is still in his jaws. Feraligatr then releases the bird and it falls to the floor, swirls in its eyes. Feraligatr looks at me for another command.
I just point my finger at Braixen. Feraligatr nods and knocks it out with another hydro pump.
Ash and Serena call back their Pokémon.
Ash sends out Pikachu and Serena sends out a Pancham.
Despite the disadvantage, I keep Feraligatr in.
“Pikachu! Use thunderbolt!" Ash screams.
“Dodge it!" I try to call out but I am too late. Feraligatr got hit. He struggles to get up but manages to, only to be hit with electro ball and faint.
Returning Feraligatr, I grab a pokeball with a cat sticker. Kissing it, I throw it out. Out pops a pink flying cat, shocking everybody. “T-that's a Mew!" Serena stutters. “Yeah, obviously. What, are you blind or what? Have you never seen a legendary before? Oh wait, I forgot you have trash Pokémon." I retort. Serena turns red with anger and pouts. “Mew we have to make this quick, I want to bring out the big guns soon. Use rock slide on Pikachu!" I scream.
Mew unleashed a landslide of rocks onto Pikachu, type disadvantage hurting him and making him trapped under the rocks. “Alright! Good work! Now use dazzling gleam on the panda!" I command. Mew unleashed a beam of pink at Pancham, causing it to stagger back. “Again." I say, flicking my wrist. Mew complied and hits Pancham again. Pancham falls to the ground, fainted. Turning my attention back to Pikachu, I think. “Use confusion." I say. Pikachu gets hit and becomes confused. “Pikachu! Snap out of it and use thunderbolt!" Ash strains. Pikachu only hits himself with the thunderbolt, hurting it further. “Mew, lets finish this with brick break." I nod. Mew hits Pikachu and he faints as well. Ash sends out a Hawlucha and Serena sends out a Sylveon. I call back Mew and both of them look confused. Nodding to Lucario, he steps up to the field. “Lucario, lets start with using flash cannon on that Sylveon." I state. Lucario puts his paws out and a flash of light launches at the eeveelution. Sylveon cries out in pain and falls. “We need to wait longer, use psychic on Hawlucha." I say. Hawlucha is hit but isn't hurt that much. “Hawlucha! Use high jump kick!" Ash calls out. Hawlucha launches into the air and kicks Lucario in the face. Lucario growls and gets into his stance once more. Sylveon uses fairy wind but it doesn't do much. Karate chop!" Ash says. Lucario is hit once more in the head. He turns to me with that certain glint in his eyes. Holding my hand out, Lucario grabs his bracelet. “Lucario! Connect our souls and hearts. Make our bond greater together and mega evolve!" I scream out. Ash and Serena look shocked but excited to see Mega Lucario. “Lucario! Car!" He cries as he comes out in mega form. “Okay buddy, use psychic on Hawlucha and then throw him into Sylveon. Then use flash cannon!" I command, sweat dripping down my forehead. Lucario lifts Hawlucha into the air before yeeting him into Sylveon. He then holds out his palms as they both get hit with a enhanced flash cannon. Ash and Serena cry out for their Pokémon. When the light clears, they both have swirly eyes. Lucario returns back to normal and walks over to my side. “Thanks for that. But I have to go see my boo." I say over my shoulder as I walk away. I am suddenly pushed to the ground. I hear Lucario grunt. Looking up, I see Serena in Lucario's arms trapped. It seems that she was the one who pushed me. Her intense glare in her eyes makes it even more evident. “You know, I always wanted to know what happens if a human is hit by a Pokémon move. I wanted to test it but didn't have the right circumstances. However, you just volunteered. Lucario, hit this bimbo with a full power power-up punch." I screech. Lucario's paw glows orange before he punches Serena, causing her to fly a few yards away before hitting the ground and not getting up. I hear Ash sprint towards her as I just walk away. “Thanks bro for not caring about me!" I call. Time skip cuz idk what else to do. As the sun goes down, I am content cuddling in bed with my James, even if he is a thief, Ash and his friends deserve it. James is playing with my hair, calming me before sleep overtook my vision, my last image being my lovely boyfriend.

hop x short delinquent trainer? like hop is only half intimidated cause of how short she is
Hello yes I love Hop so much?? Thank you for this absolutely blessed request
I uh. I might have gotten carried away with this request, lol. It’s basically a small fic. I had a really cute song in the background as I wrote this, so it ended up going from scary to cute, but hey! I’m real proud of this one. Hope you all love it as much as I do
Tw: Blood, blood mention, violence, fights, cuts, tending to wounds, implied gang situations, implied underground
There were reasons why Hop admired many of the people in his life, most notably Lee. For Lee, it was that despite his caring and carefree nature, he was strong and compassionate. Headstrong in some regards, goofy in others. But he was a leader, striking and heroic to many. In his ten years as Champion, he was a defender, a protector, and a friend to all.
Hop admired that.
When he met you, he was taken aback. You didn’t smile, nor did you give up your death glare. Lee was strong, yes, but his strength was warm, like a nice day in the sun. You? You had aspects of people that he admired, but you were still very... different. The brains of Sonia, the strength of Leon, the determination of Marnie and the straightforward thoughts of Bede. And yet, with all of those, you were cold.
Instead of Lee’s warmth, your strength was like being submerged into a freezing cold river. You were never afraid to speak your mind, and you didn’t need your Pokemon to beat the shit out of someone. Your fists could do the talking for you. Even without Pokemon, no one could beat you. People were scared of you wherever you went, which Hop found slightly amusing because you were an entire head shorter than him.
And Hop admired that.
Because of this, he decided that he wanted to understand what you were all about. It was a slow process, one that involved a lot of threats and glares in his direction. But no matter the bumps and bruises he got from you, he still stuck by your side. It was only after the first couple fights did he realize just how strong you were. You nearly beat someone half to death for touching you wrong, and as he watched from the sidelines, he could see that feral rage in you. That’s when he really started to get anxious around you.
You seemed to notice. Suddenly, all those death glares that you had sent his way just became really confused glances. Your threats became shallow, and you refused to go through with them. Hop had to stop a couple of times when you tried to make some jokes, but because of your nature they fell flat. He still laughed, partly to make you feel better, and partly because the shyness in your posture was so out of character for you. It was...
Cute.
It was when Hop accidentally got caught up in one of your fights that he really saw your true colors. He was tired of people slinging insults at you. And so he threw some back. It was natural, almost. He didn’t realize how protective he had been getting over you. Maybe it was your height, or the fact that he was seriously starting to crush on you. But he did it, and ended up getting a pretty nasty cut on his arm from the opposing Fraxure from it.
Hop, having grown up in a fairly uneventful household and area, didn’t realize how things worked in your world. People were out to do damage, to prove a point and to gain dominance. Hop also didn’t realize that you were a big deal in that scene. So when he got hurt, he watched as you finally pulled out your Pokemon for this fight. Your Sylveon jumped into the fray, absolutely decimating the other team, while two other strange Pokemon stood over him.
Two dog-like Pokemon, one with a dark blue coat and rocks coming out of it’s mane, the other with a light purple coat and eight long, flowing tails. The perpetrators ended up running with their tail between their legs, as well as blood down their temple, but you didn’t care. You ran right up to Hop and dragged him off the wild area.
The two Pokemon weren’t in the region, you had explained. A Lycanroc and Alolan Ninetails from Alola. But after that initial explanation, you went quiet. You took Hop’s arm, sitting him down by the campfire, and got to work. Your blue coated Sylveon occasionally would help with her ribbons, and also giving occasional healing. It was enough to stem the bleeding and at least close up the wound enough for a bandage. The entire time, you both were very quiet, with only the crackling of the fire beside you on this dark night to give a conversation.
And you looked so sad.
Every time Hop winced, you looked pained and ended up muttering a small sorry, one that was barely audible. This must have happened often with you, since you already had all of the supplies at the ready. You managed to clean off the crimson from his arm, stop the bloodflow, and he just looked you over as you wrapped the bandage around his arm.
He’d never seen you with another emotion besides anger. And now this sadness and guilt in your eyes, was it for him? He winced again as you tightly wrapped the bandage, which almost seemed to make you wince yourself.
“Sorry...”
“Stop it,” he finally said.
You stopped mid wrap and looked at him, almost broken.
“You don’t need to keep saying sorry. I did this to myself.”
“But--”
“No. Not buts. I started it this time, so stop it.”
You shifted slightly, looking down at the ground. “Y...You’re okay... right?”
That tiny question, the one that he could barely hear over the crackling fire, is what made his heart soar. You were worried for him. He could hear it not only in the question, but your quivering voice. He watched as you started to sniffle, and your shoulders started to shake. So he pulled you in for a hug. For once, you didn’t fight.
Your crying was very silent, so much so that he could barely even hear your sobs. And yet you clung to him like your life depended on it. He found his hand rubbing your back, and reassuring you that he was okay. Part of him was still intimidated by your strength, but he had to remind himself that you were human too.
“W-Why...” you got out, nose pressed against the soft fluff of his jacket. Hop stopped. “W-Why are you... s-so nice to me?”
He sighed. “Well, it was mostly cause I liked your strength at first... But then I get interested in what was driving you. You’re so powerful, and yet, you’ve yet to go and do the gym challenge. Everyone was so scared of you, and so I wanted to see what was going on.” Hop sighed again, not really knowing what to expect out of his next sentence. “A-And... and then you got cute.”
Your body tensed up, and your grip tightened on his jacket. He continued on. “I started seeing your real self little by little, and it was... really nice. I started to enjoy being around you and... color me crazy, but I consider you a friend.”
“A... friend...?”
“Yeah.”
“...I’ve never had a friend before...” you whispered.
Hop held you closer. “You have one now.” Even though I think I might like you more, he thought to himself. “Besides, I should be thanking you. After all, you’re the one that saved me back there.”
“You shouldn’t get caught up in my battles.”
“And are you going to stop me?”
“Hoooooppp,” you whined, groaning against him. He laughed, knowing that the answer was clearly no.
You pulled back, wiping the tears from your eyes and taking his arm again. To break any sadness in your eyes, he ended up starting to tell you stories. It was a gift to hear you laugh and to see you smile. This terrifying, tiny girl who had the capacity to kill another human being, enjoyed his presence so much that she wanted to protect him.
Over the next month or so, you started to change, little by little. Your jokes had more punch to them. You started to experiment with your style, and instead of dark blacks and greys, you started to put more color in. You two went out and ended up camping together sometimes in the wild area. You didn’t get in as many fights.
Maybe it was that you didn’t need to be so defensive anymore. You had someone to help and support you. But really, in Hop’s mind, this was ten million times more terrifying, because he knew where you kept all of your knives in your dresses. You really took cute but deadly to a whole new level. Hop idly wondered one night with you curled up against his chest if either of you really understood how close you were growing. He also wondered how much it would take to get you to battle Lee.
That would be an extremely interesting battle.

Rating Main Story Pokemon Games, with unpopular opinions
Pokemon Blue/Green/Red/Yellow: 2/10 ugly, disgusting. I really only like the music from this gen. I also don’t like Kanto either, it’s just kinda boring. I mean, I get these were the first games, but the were not very good.
Gold/Silver/Crystal: 4/10 Still kinda ugly, but I like how they play around with OHHH GIOVANI!! HE HAS A SON!! COOOOOOL!! And Silver is 100% what a child of Giovani should look and act like. I also love the starter pokemon. But the graphics kill me. Slowly.
Sapphire/Ruby: 7/10 These were released on the exact day of my birth. I love these games for the sentiment. I remember barrowing Sapphire from my best friend at the time and playing all the way through it in a week. Also good music and decent graphics, though the graphics weren’t the best.
Emerald: 7/10 SOOO FUCKING GOOOD. Story. Interesting. Graphics. Improved. Epic change of events. Epic. Literally Ruby and Sapphire but slightly improved (points reduced)
Leaf Green/Fire Red: 2/10 Never cared to play them. Again, I hate Kanto.
Diamond/Pearl: 6/10 My first Pokemon games, and that’s why it gets a 6 instead of a 5. Music slaps, and I mean,,,the trainer battles are okay. But everything is so fucking SLOW dawg.
Platinum: 7/10 Diamond/Pearl but slightly improved also Garatina is epic
Soul Silver/Heart Gold:7/10 Take everything I like about Gold/Silver and make it better. It’s so much prettier and they’ve improved and updated some designs. Also the music on the DS sound card fucking SLAPS
Black/White: 9/10 I really like these games. They’re nice to look at, have animated sprites, music slaps, cute protags. There are somethings wrong, like Alder and his boring ass, but seriously one of my favorite games. Also they’ve made the protags canonically older, big plus. Also the Ghetsis theme, I’m sorry but that’s the best villian theme I’ve ever heard in a Pokemon game. It actual fits the characters
Black2/White2: 10/10 Perfect games (to me), Additon of Pokemon from other regions, along with their own unique set of pokemon native to the region. Also, again the protags are cute and the rival has a good goal. He’s not even a rival really, he’s more of a friend. And honestly, I like those more. Like, yeah he cares about winning and tries his best to kick your ass, BUT (big but) he also supports you and has a noble goal of trying to get his sisters purrloin back. Also they updated the sprites and they look even better than Black/White’s sprites. I also like how the protags are still much older than everyone else.
X/Y: 8/10 I actually really like these games. While yes, they’re not the best, they’re actually really enjoyable. I think the whole character customization looks good, I like the style of the human models, and the music is pretty good. The evil team sucks, the elite four? Not the greatest. I also have a lot of memories playing this game because of how much I loved Chesnaught and Sylveon. Not the worst region in my opinion. Also these are my favorite 3DS era games. I also kind of head canon that all of the main characters are around 15 or 16
Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire: 7/10 the exact same thing with some different details than the originals. Not bad, and I like the redesigns of the protags (they needed them. BADLY).
Sun/Moon: 6/10 Decent games. I like the Hawaii theme. Also I like the evil teams and I also like the majoirty of the pokemon from these games. They’re just kinda boring tbh
Ultra Sun/Ultra Moon: 7/10 I actually like these MUCH better than the originals. They’ve added a lot of things that I liked, a lot. Also I like how the starters save you from some rando Yungoose. Very cute.
Let’s Go Pikachu/Let’s Go Eevee: 5/10, cute games mean’t to be played souly because they’re easy and fun to play. I like them, but ehhh. Also I like how they updated the guy outside of the grass gym and made him drink respect women juice instead of having him be a dirty perv.
Sword/Shield: 8/10 They’re fun. They’re easy, but they’re fun. I like all the starters, the characters are cute and the music slaps. Also I don’t care what anyone says about Inteleon, I like ‘em. He’s a funky tall lizard and I like ‘em.

La Vie en Rose (Bede and young!Opal time travel fic)
La Vie en Rose (Life in Pink) Rating: T (for character deaths and language) Chapter 3/10 - Beginnings (length: ~3k words) Summary: Bede doesn’t get why that loony old bat Opal wants him to be the next Fairy-type Gym Leader. To help him understand, Opal has Celebi take Bede back to the time of her youth.
(For other chapters, look up the tag “pokemon la vie en rose” or go to my profile)
When the light faded, Bede cracked his eyes open. Slowly he let go of Celebi’s hands. He noticed the same ring of tiny yellow mushrooms, the same curtain of moss hanging over the big old tree. The only difference was that Opal was nowhere to be seen. It didn’t feel like he had jumped back seventy years, but that was because he hadn’t explored yet.
“Where do I go from here?” Bede asked Celebi. “Lead the way.”
“Bi!” The Pokemon flew ahead of him through the glowing mushrooms, but at a steady, hovering pace so he could keep up with it.
Out of the corner of his eye, Bede thought he spotted the pink horned ears of Impidimps as they scuttled through the undergrowth. Could they see him? He hoped not. When he was building his new team, he had refused to catch and raise one of those creepy little buggers.
Celebi led him out to the trail that took them to the Ballonlea Gym. It flashed the same pink neon lights and emblem, but the doors had hinges and the Gym was half the size he expected. Bede guessed that both the regional population and enthusiasm for watching Gym battles had climbed since the 1950s, and at some point, the Gym underwent renovation to increase seating capacity and allow Dynamaxing. And automatic sliding doors hadn’t been invented yet.
“I wonder what it looks like inside?” He asked out loud. He made for the doors, but Celebi halted him mid-stride by tugging on his sleeve. Just then the double doors burst open. They could have swung right into him if Celebi hadn’t stopped him. A tall, dark-haired young woman sprinted past the doors, past Bede, and down the opposite path he had taken to reach the Gym.
“That’s Ms. Opal,” Bede exclaimed.
Celebi took off after her, prompting him to run after them both. He tried to follow them past the cluster of cottages and down the flights of stairs. Ballonlea Town hadn’t changed much in seventy years—just as Bede would expect out of an enchanting little town touched by Fairy type Pokemon. Opal sprinted into Glimwood Tangle without a pause or slowing down. Despite the gloom and patches of thick, tall grass, she clearly knew her way around as she wove back and forth through the labyrinth-like pathways and ducked into the gaps under fallen tree trunks.
“Ms. Opal, wait,” Bede called out. Then he remembered that he had no physical presence here. She wouldn’t be able to see or hear him. Bede had been one of the faster boys in the orphanage, if not the fastest, but he pumped his arms and legs hard in great effort to keep up. “Bloody hell, she’s fast,” he managed to say between pants. Definitely not the slow old woman as he had first known her.
Ahead of him, Celebi made a sound close to a tinkering laugh. Bede thought that the chase would go on and on, and he would lose Opal in the thicket, but she slowed down. He pressed both hands to his knees and tried to catch his breath just behind her. She gently tapped at a nearby mushroom, sending a stronger green glow around them.
“Mother,” Opal said softly. “I knew you would be here.”
Bede peeked around her to spot an older woman curled up by the ledge. He recognized that tangle of long dark hair, and her long nose, though the old photo hid the fact that the woman’s shawl was actually a dull yellow, not gray. It took him a few seconds to realize that Opal’s mother, Ruby, was hugging a Mimikyu to her chest. Her Mimikyu, Bede guessed. The Pokemon extended a shadowy claw through its Pikachu-like cloak to rub soothing strokes on Ruby’s shoulder.
Celebi beckoned at Bede to come closer. He edged farther in, feeling weird about eavesdropping on what was supposed to be a private moment between mother and daughter, but that was what the present-day Opal wanted him to do, anyway.
Opal knelt down to rest a hand on her mother’s back. Her right hand. It was bare, and Bede saw no scar there.
Ruby shuddered and let out a heavy sigh. “I’m sorry, dear. You know how I am around unexpected guests.”
Opal’s eyes narrowed and her frown deepened, briefly adding a few more years to her young face. “Those reporters were quite rude, barging into the Gym like that for an unwarranted interview. I’ll place more security around the Gym to make sure that doesn’t happen again.”
Ruby made a small, wan smile. “You’ve become such a mature and responsible young woman, despite everything I’ve done.” She shook her head. “No, because of everything I’ve done. Look at me, Opal. I can’t even handle being around a couple of news reporters without suffering a panic attack. You’ve had to keep the Gym running while I would be away trying to pull myself together. I’m sorry to put that burden on you, dear.”
Opal shook her head. “You’ve trained me for this, Mother. I’m happy to do my duty.”
“Speaking of duty, I think that my time as Gym Leader is over.” Ruby had been stroking the top of Mimikyu’s head, and she lowered her hand to rest it on top of her daughter’s. “I apologize for the lack of ceremony...but Opal, dear, starting today, you will be the next Gym Leader of Ballonlea Town.”
Opal jerked her hand away. “What? Now? But I haven’t-”
“I know, your eighteenth birthday is three months away, and I had planned to hand over the Gym to you then. But in all honesty, I don’t think I can bear another three months. I’m at my limit, Opal. You know as well as I do that I am at odds with civilization. I am quite odd, aren’t I? I won’t be offended if you think so.”
Opal frowned. “There’s nothing wrong with feeling more connected with Pokemon than with people.”
“But feeling so connected with them that I want to cut off people forever?”
Opal stared at her with silent, wide-eyed shock.
Ruby closed her eyes, and Bede saw how the dark bruised look of them contrasted with the paleness of her face. “Yes, I’ve thought about it for years. I grow tired of human chatter and rabble. I can’t stand the roaring and cheering in the Gym stadium. I get this terrible ringing in my ears. It drives me mad. Every day I feel the wilderness and its wild Pokemon calling to me, drawing me away from society, promising a cure. Only in that quietness and seclusion can I find peace, and my ears don’t ring anymore.” Ruby opened her eyes to return Opal’s pitying gaze. “I’ve kept my post as Gym Leader for your sake, so I could teach you what I know, everything I know about Fairy type Pokemon. You may not be eighteen yet, but I believe that you are ready. Consider this an early birthday present from me.”
Opal pursed her lips. “Thank you, Mother,” she murmured.
“You’re welcome, and good-bye, my dear.”
Opal drew back and blinked many times under a scrunched up brow. “Good-bye? You’re leaving today?”
Ruby’s voice was gentle but firm. “This will be my last day among people. No more human contact after today.”
“Even me?”
“Yes, Opal, even you.” Ruby took her daughter’s hand and squeezed it. “That is not to say that I don’t love you. Not at all. A parent is not supposed to have favorites, but of all my children, you are my absolute favorite. I’m sure you know that already.”
Opal smiled. “Well, I’m the only one who can understand you.”
Ruby nodded. “You chose to come with me when your father and I got divorced. You chose to leave behind all the riches in Wynwall, your father and your brothers, to train under me and learn the ways of Fairy type Pokemon. That was not an easy choice to make.” She lowered Mimikyu to the ground and rose to her feet, pulling her shawl tighter around herself. “You have been good company, and a good student, but now that I’ve passed on the torch to you, your place is with Ballonlea, while my place is elsewhere. The best option for us both is to part ways.”
“Where will you go, Mother?”
Ruby tilted her head to one side in thought. “Deeper into Glimwood Tangle, or perhaps into the Slumbering Weald. I heard that the locals in the nearby town are forbidden from entering it.” She smiled. “That sounds like an ideal place for someone who doesn’t want to be found. I will live off the salt of the earth, eat berries from trees in the forest, and drink from the rain and the river.”
Ruby’s sincerity behind that declaration made Opal take on the look of a girl half her age, frightened and overwhelmed. “I won’t ever see you again? You’ll be alone to the end of your days?”
Ruby placed a hand over Opal’s chest. “I’ll always be in your heart, if you care to remember me afterwards, and I’ll never be alone. I’ll have Pokemon by my side. I’ve always taken delight in their company, and I’ll continue to do so for the rest of my life.” She pursed her lips to let out a soft whistle, and from the bushes nearby, a Sylveon, a Shiinotic, and a Florges joined Mimikyu around Ruby. Her team of Pokemon, Bede realized. The only ones who would follow their Trainer into a life of untamed isolation.
Ruby pulled her daughter into a hug—or tried to, as if she had never quite grasped the motions. “Good-bye, my dear Opal. May you be brilliant and glorious as the precious stone I named you after.”
Opal returned the hug with arms wrapped tightly around her mother, and Ruby’s eyes widened as she received the entirety of that embrace. Opal pulled away and nodded. “Good-bye, Mother. Safe travels.”
Ruby tightened the shawl around her body once more and stepped away from the paved path, taking nothing with her but the clothes on her back and the Pokemon she had trained. Her Pokemon followed her into the undergrowth.
Thinking of how his own family dropped him off at the orphanage and didn’t look back, Bede wanted to shout after Ruby, “Go back to your daughter. You can’t just leave her like that.”
But he couldn’t make himself heard, so he wondered if Opal would. She didn’t call after her mother. Nor did she break into pursuit like she did before. Instead she stared at her mother’s retreating back, up until the darkness and mist enveloped her. Finally, she turned away and walked back the way she came. Back to the town.
Even while walking, Opal had a long, quick stride that Bede had to put effort in matching. Once at her side, Bede looked up at her to notice with surprise that tears had been welling up in her eyes. A muscle in her jaw twitched from clenched teeth. Suddenly she stopped near a tree stump to lean on it and let out a sob into her sleeve.
Bede stood by awkwardly, biting on his bottom lip and shifting his weight. Opal had just lost her mother suddenly, strangely, and was left with a new burden to carry on her shoulders. She didn’t succumb to that invisible weight, nor did she dwell in that spot. She wiped the back of her hand over her eyes. After a few moments, Opal gathered herself to a stern-faced composure. She drew in a shaky breath, straightened the black bow on her white blouse, and combed her fingers through short dark hair that had been messy and windswept from running. She carried on and wore that stern mask into town. Reporters in coats and fedoras streamed out of the Gym carrying notepads and those old-timey cameras with the big round flash bulbs. They assaulted her with their inquiring chatter—a rude, jarring contrast from the quiet, private exchange between Ruby and Opal at Glimwood Tangle.
“Miss Opal, might we have a word with you, please?”
“Did you manage to find your mother?”
“Is the Gym Leader available for an interview?”
Opal fixed them with a chilly look that kept them from coming too close to her. “My mother will not be taking any questions. I am Ballonlea’s Gym Leader now.”
The huddle of reporters erupted into a swarm, like a disturbed hive of Combees. Opal kept her chin high and strode past them, refusing to make eye contact and ignoring their flood of questions and exclamations.
Bede followed after her with growing respect. Opal carried on that commanding presence even to her old age. He remembered her rare League Card: a picture of him standing to attention like a soldier at Opal’s side, ready to be taught under her strict regimen.
“Chin up, back straight, shoulders squared, hands to your sides,” she had ordered. “Top form, now. Look like you’re going to take Fairy type Pokemon seriously.”
A tug at his collar made him stop. Bede turned to see Celebi gesturing at him to take both of its hands. Time-traveling again. He supposed he thought that was all to see at this point. But watching Opal’s mother pass on the Gym Leader title didn’t explain why Opal wanted to pass it on to him. Maybe there was more to see. Bede held Celebi’s hands and grimaced as a brilliant light radiated from the Legendary Pokemon.
#
Bede found himself facing a stage. Spotlights pointed at the stage made the rest of the room dim. He must be inside the Gym, its theatre. Though he had never formally challenged the Gym, as Opal’s protege he had been led (dragged, rather) inside the theatre enough times to know it from front to back. The Gym, like the town outside, hadn’t changed much back then. The stage was made of the same wood and the curtains had the same color.
Next to him, Opal sat alone at a narrow table, with a cup of tea in her left hand and a pen hovering over papers in her right. Celebi had Bede jump a bit forward in time, still in the past. Opal looked a year or two older than the last time Bede saw her. Still quite young to be managing a theatre. She seemed at ease with the role, however, as she presided over stacks of resumes, score sheets, and of course, questionnaires of her own design, and she scrutinized a young man who stepped onto the stage.
Bede frowned at Celebi. “She’s looking for a new Gym Leader already? Didn’t she just get it from her mum?” But no Trainer stepped up to challenge the young man to a battle. Bede realized that this was normal theatre business. Straight-up auditioning for a part in some play.
The man didn’t introduce himself, because Opal already had his resume in front of her, and after clearing his throat, he went straight into singing. Opal closed her eyes and rested the pen on her chin. At first Bede thought she was bored and on the verge of falling asleep. Then he noticed how she angled her head toward the stage, how her brow furrowed a bit in concentration. She was, in fact, listening intently. Bede wasn’t into musical theatre, so he didn’t recognize the lines. He couldn’t tell if the man was doing well or not. Opal kept her expression impassive as she gauged the performance.
She didn’t scribble anything into the score sheet until the man finished. She nodded at him. “Thank you for your time. I will release the results sometime next week.”
He bowed and exited the stage. Bede had noticed disappointment flicker in the young man’s face before he had bowed. That man must’ve been hoping to be told his results right then and there. Opal wrote more comments into the score sheet, then arranged the papers into neater stacks in a way that she would look at them later. As she rose from the table, Bede could hear murmuring and rustling as those behind the scenes shut off the spotlights and pulled the curtains closed. Celebi tugged at Bede’s sleeve, beckoning him to follow Opal out of the theatre. He stumbled after her at the same time a Gym Trainer accompanied her outside.
“How were the performances today, Miss Opal?” The Gym Trainer asked.
Opal propped a hand on her hip and huffed a sigh. “Lackluster, I’m afraid. No one’s up to snuff.”
“Not even alumni from your own school, like that man who last auditioned?”
“A degree from the Hammerlocke Royal Academy of the Arts alone doesn’t make exceptions, nor can it save a subpar performance. ”
At Opal’s condescending remark, the Gym Trainer made a sheepish suggestion: “Perhaps you need to lower your standards, ma’am.”
Opal seemed to balk at that suggestion as she flicked her hand in the air. “I will not settle for anyone less than the very best, who I’ve had no luck finding. Today’s the last day for auditions, but I’m thinking about extending them to the next three days, if that’s possible.”
The Gym Trainer looked down at her clipboard and shook her head. “I’m sorry, ma’am, but we’re running on a tight schedule. We can’t delay production and rehearsal any longer. You will need to settle on who will play Raoul soon.”
Opal splayed fingers through her short dark hair in response. “At this rate, no one will play the part.” She shook her head. “I’ve been cooped up in the theatre for too long. Perhaps fresh air and a walk will do me a bit of good. I will think more over the candidates we’ve auditioned.”
Apparently the Gym Trainer liked that answer as her face and voice perked up. “Very good, Miss Opal.”
And it was apparent to Bede that Opal only said that to appease the Gym Trainer, because as the older woman went back inside, Opal let the frustration settle back into her face. She turned away from the Gym and took a trail farther into the forest.
“Ms. Opal always did set unrealistic standards,” Bede remarked with amusement to Celebi. He and the time-traveling Pokemon followed Opal off the trail and into the thicket of glowing mushrooms and old trees. The soft beat of flapping wings made Bede glance up. A Togekiss drifted from above to settle on a sapling next to Opal.
She greeted the Pokemon with a grin and reached out to smooth back its blue and red plumage. “You can sense my frustration from a mile away, can’t you? Did you come to help calm me down?”
The Togekiss, her Togekiss, trilled and rubbed its cheek against her palm.
Opal withdrew her hand to ball it into a fist over her chest. “What am I going to do, Togekiss? The casting process had never been this much of a pain. Then again, I have to find someone for not just any song, but my absolute favorite song in the play. I guess that makes all the difference. Perhaps my search for the perfect match is like trying to find a Legendary Pokemon.” She raised her hands, then let them fall to her sides in resigned helplessness. “I may be running a theatre, and I have the authority to cast whoever I want, but it doesn’t feel like I have control. I don’t control how someone else sings and acts, and if they all come in not singing and acting the way I’d like, then I don’t have a choice at all.” Opal looked like she wanted to swat at the nearest glowing mushroom, but Togekiss cooed and jumped up to gently land on her head. She took a stumbling step forward and laughed, catching Togekiss with her hands.
“You’re not a little Togetic anymore. Off with you, now, before I fall over.”
Togekiss jumped back onto the branch it had been sitting on, and Opal smoothed her hair back into place.
“You know, Togekiss, the only thing I feel that I have true control over is myself.” Opal closed her eyes, as if drinking in the sounds of the forest.
She drew in a deep breath and sang in rich, melodious soprano that startled Bede and sent chills down his back. The most he would hear from the Opal he knew was a low hum here and there, and he had seen her sing in old photos, but he had never heard her sing like this. He shouldn’t be surprised, though. If she had been a talented actress back then, and acting often involved singing and dancing, then she must have been skilled in those areas, too.
Bede wanted to sit there in the forest and listen to her sing forever, but she stopped after five lines. The forest seemed to swallow up her voice. Then, from a distance, came the following few lines in alto.
Opal gasped. “Togekiss, did you hear that?”
Her Pokemon chirped in affirmation. Opal straightened up and looked around, trying to pinpoint the direction of the mystery voice. Whoever was singing fell silent, prompting her to carry on with the duet and sing the next lines.
Bede didn’t have her ear for what kind of singing was good or bad, but it was evident even to him that this mystery voice had her enraptured. She was bent on locating the source of that voice, pushing through the tall grass and sweeping her gaze across the forest like an explorer on a jungle expedition. Togekiss helped her track down the voice as it flew ahead. Bede followed behind her, curious as she was about who could be singing the duet with her.
Opal lurched to a halt, making Bede nearly run into her. He peeked around her to match her wide-eyed surprise.
Huddled against the tree was a man in a tattered coat. His matted brown hair was so thick and unkempt that it hid his lips and nearly hid his dark eyes. A backpack patched with dirt and bulging at the seams sat next to him. Wrapped about his neck like a striped scarf, a Galarian Linoone bared its teeth at Opal. A Mightyena lying down on all fours lifted its downcast gaze at the man’s feet to stare back at her warily.
The surprise on Opal’s face twisted into confusion. “You...were you the one singing with me—“ Her question turned into a cry of alarm as the man collapsed right in front of her.
Linoone and Mightyena growled at Opal, stopping her from running up to him. She raised her hands at them as a disarming gesture.
“Calm down, I’m not going to hurt him,” she said firmly.
Her Togekiss flew down before Linoone and Mightyena to convey her Trainer’s intentions to them. Only then did the pair of Dark type Pokemon flatten their fur and slink back to let Opal kneel down and gently turn the man over.
“Sir, can you hear me?” She called, and she shook her head in panic when he didn’t respond. Bede heard her mutter, “Please don’t be dead, please don’t be dead.” Then she said, “Togekiss, get help from the clinic.”
Her Pokemon cried out to acknowledge her command and flew out of sight.
Just call for help on the Rotom Phone, Bede thought, but he realized that they hadn’t been invented yet. He knew that there was nothing he could do. Still, he didn’t feel right standing by helplessly as Opal tried to rouse the man.
His eyes fluttered open, making Opal blow out a sigh of relief. “Good, try to stay awake. Don’t worry, sir, I’m getting you help.” She would give him a shake if his eyes were about to close again. “What’s your name? Could you at least tell me that?”
His dried lips quivered. “R-Roger.”

Underwater Ariel’s Your Eeveelution Tarot Spread - My Results
Hey! I’ve been meaning to do with this one for awhile and now I finally have the energy to sit down and do this. Eevee has always been one of my favorite Pokemon, so when I saw this spread by @underworldariel, I was ecstatic to try it!
I used both of my decks again in this reading: The Linestrider Tarot and The Arcana official tarot deck. Below is a picture of the cards.
Eevee - Current me
I drew The Tower (L) and Six of Cups (A). Right now, I’m in the midst of massive changes and revelations. I’ve been delving more into my spirituality, which has forced me to come to terms with a lot of issues. It’s been intense and I’m still finding my path, but I know it’s for the best. I’ve already started to see some of the benefits. My revelations have lead me to explore my past, both in regards to past lives and past memories. Some unbidden feelings have been drawn up, but most of the past reminders have brought me joy. I know that exploring my past is a key to growth. I have to deal with past problems, confront them, and let them go. My personal history is important, but making sure I change from that past is equally so.
Jolteon - What sparks my energy and revitalizes me?
I drew Two of Wands (L) and Four of Wands Reversed (A). My spark lies in growing more independent, starting new endeavors, and cleansing my life of things that may be holding me back. Lately, I’ve been spending more and more time considering what I want versus any expectations of what I should do. I’m pursuing a path that best suits my needs and interests. I’ve always been rather indecisive and worried about how others might feel about what I do. All that’s done is made me doubt and ignore myself. I’ve been feeling a lot more energetic and excited since I’ve turned away from that. That’s led me to start deciding what it’s time for me to leave behind. It make shake up my stability and old habits, but hey, out with the old, and in with the new.
Flareon - What inspires your drive and passions?
I drew Four of Pentacles Reversed (L) and Eight of Cups Reversed (A). My drive and passions are inspired by material desire and trusting my instincts. Let’s face it: I enjoy beautiful and new things. I like to surround myself with things that either remind me of myself or of the beauty of the world. It’s my way of dealing with my fears of the world and my own insecurity. It’s a trait I have to work on though because it can lead to danger if I end up overspending. Beyond earthly pleasures, developing my intuition is a huge driving factor with me. I want to push this ability to its full extent, but at the same time, I know I shouldn’t let my passion get ahead of me. I’m working at the right pace for me and I’ve seen plenty of results. I’m just excited to see where I’m going to end up.
Umbreon - What’s the shadow side of you that nobody sees?
For this, I drew Strength Reversed (L) and The Devil (A). How apt, is the first thought that comes to mind for a question like this. The side of me that nobody sees my inner strength and my perceptions. I am a strong person. I know this for a fact. Even when I get hit with my depressive episodes or anxiety, I know I can handle it. People tend to underestimate what I can and can’t deal with. It’s rather irritating to be seen as capable in one scenario, but needing to be treated like a child in another. I’ve dealt with a lot of crazy shit on my own, shit that set me down to the depth of my spirit in despair. But guess? I’m still hear, kicking and crawling my way back up every time. The flip to this is that everybody doesn’t see just how much I can doubt myself and how dark my mind get. I can hurt myself like nobody else can. Overcoming that has been part of my journey to hell and back. I have so many self-imposed boundaries that have hindered me. No one has seen just how desperate and dark they’ve made me and they never will. Slowly but surely I’m ripping each of those boundaries apart. Only time will tell what will happen then.
Leafeon - How am I blossoming and growing?
I drew Queen of Pentacles Reversed (L) and Nine of Pentacles Reversed (A). Right now, I’m blossoming into someone who is more compassionate, loving, understanding, nurturing, and productive. This period in my life has given me plenty of opportunities to expand on my skills and outlook. The more I experience and come to understand, the more my nurturing side evolves. I’m aligning with the Universe and opening my heart. I’m coming to understand what I’m capable of and how to achieve that. This is a time for me to work hard and push forward, to embrace my prosperity. I must also be careful not to be so preoccupied with my moving forward and avoid the relationships that important to me. Those are just as vital to my life as anything else.
Sylveon - What is my magical talent on Earth?
I drew King of Swords Reversed (L) and The Chariot (A). My magical talent lies in my intellect and drive to succeed. Even if I may not necessarily consider very ambitious, I know what I want and I go after it. I utilize my logic, strength, courage, and wisdom to explore my desires, see what’s feasible, and implement a method to achieve it. I’m in control of myself and my destiny. Sometimes, that also means knowing when to let go. As good as I might be at being rational, I also know that cultivating my intuition is equally important. I’m aware of when and where to use one or the other and when to use both. I’m here to succeed at my mission and use what I learn to advise others. That’s where my truest abilities lie.
Glaceon - What’s something that I need to ice out of?
I drew Death (L) and Page of Swords (A). Something i need to ice out of is holding onto the past and letting others dictate my path for me. This theme has already come up. I’ve let so many things from the past remain unresolved and as a result, they’ve dragged me down. Finally learning to make peace with them will let me move on. I also feel Death is telling me that, even though I’m experiencing changes, I need to realize i’m not really becoming someone else so much as I’m becoming who I already am. I need to let go of the idea that I’m changing into a radically different person. All the messages I’ve got lately is that everything I need are the things I already have. I’m not being told to do anything but trust in myself and what I can do. I’m not being told I need to become a new me. This message resonates deeply. I already understand so much... I’m just letting insecurities cover that up. The Page is reminding of that along with not letting others hinder me. Spiritually, I’ve been wanting to post more here about my own ideas. However, I see how judgmental people can be, which makes me hesitant to. The Page is telling me to ignore that. I know how I feel and why. I understand my beliefs better than anyone else and they come from a place of deep reflection, research, and intuition. I don’t need to worry about those who might criticize me, but to focus on saying what I need to and knowing who needs to hear it will.
Espeon - What’s an innate fact of me that my soul knows?
I drew Wheel of Fortune (L) and Ace of Pentacles Reversed (A). An innate fact that I know on a soul level is my ability to take things as they come. Or in other words to go with the flow. Now, this isn’t to say that I just passively accept things as they come. It means that I know how to adapt to the circumstances that have come at me. If there’s one thing I’ve never doubted much about myself, it’s my resiliency. When dealing with things, people have told me how admirable it is that I’m still a loving and strong person despite what I’ve gone through. I kind of shrugged it off, usually because I felt it was nothing special. Others have dealt with far, far worse. It’s just how I am. Nonetheless, it’s something I appreciate. Even in the lowest moments, there is a part of me that knows that it’ll blow over. I’ll get through it, just like everything else. My episode will pass, these horrific memories will pass, the exhaustion and self hate will pass. I know how to adapt and survive no matter what the circumstances are.
Vaporeon - What is something that is powerfully fluid about me?
I drew Nine of Swords Reversed (L) and Page of Wands (A). And now we come to the very last set. My mind and energy are incredibly fluid. I’m a naturally anxious person. I have GAD. My mind runs at a mile a minute and it can be a Herculean task to get it to calm. However, it’s something I can work with. Even at my worst, I know how to adapt and still get what I need to get done completed. Whether it be school assignments, basic chores, adventuring, emotional turmoil or whatever, I know how to work with it. The human mind is capable of some incredible and unbelievable things. When I despair, I channel it into my writing, my art, or my musical skills. It’s something I can transform into something positive instead of just letting it eat me alive. My energy is similarly adaptive. I have intense highs and lows, which I work with. Understanding how these aspects of me work allows me to accomplish my dreams. I dash forward in my bursts and fall back in my lows. It’s what keeps me working my way up.
So those are my eevelutions in full. I had a lot of fun with this! Spreads like this make me want to delve more into pop culture magic, tarot, and self reflection, so thanks to April for creating and sharing this! I’ll have to try my hand at this kind of thing sometime in the future, maybe pretty soon~.

It’s been a good year.
We’re coming up on KipQuest’s first year anniversary and it is with a heavy heart and a conflicted soul that I announce that I am going to be closing this blog.
What happened? D:
Nothing happened in the traditional sense. I came out here for a good time and I had a good time and then I stopped having a good time. So I decided that drastic measures needed to be taken. I don’t have the desire to quit pokeask blogging, or blogging in general, or art, or storytelling, or any of that.
I just want to quit this particular blog and all the other blogs attached to this primary blog outside of my artblog (which I made a sideblog for this exact reason) and Maat’s blog. The disconnect has been months in the making and it is not at all related to my mental health or my motivation for art, or even my lack of physical energy. I’d just rather be doing literally anything else and that’s a really really bad thing for a long term project.
I tried everything I could think of to get myself going again. Memes, interactions, hiatus, total disconnect from Tumblr, a different, less stressful blog. I tried a lot. And it didn’t work. Ideas just fall flat and die sometimes so I am taking my own advice and just doing what I want to do.
Where are you going?
I’m not going anywhere. I’m going to write a blog from start to end. I’m going to have a plan. I’m going to reevaluate myself and my life choices. I’m going to do something self-indulgent and something that I will be passionate about, even if I’m just a cliched and tropey mess. I don’t know what the blog will be or the format, or the style, or even the name. I don’t know anything right now.
I don’t even know if I’ll have an answer for that question anytime soon. I will, however, be on my artblog, drawing art and dumping it there every once in a while. I’ll still be drawing pokemon like a damn nerd and I will still love it. I will probably take all the art prompts I have stockpiled and go through them as I figure out what the fresh hell I am going to do.
I’ll still be on this primary blog while I work on my other things. All the memes will be posted on my artblog as I finish them. (Though I run mostly on a queue.)
How can we reach you?
Please for the love of god, follow me on Twitter. Interact with me on Twitter because 1v1 convos are not happening and that’s because I’m busy all the time with other things. Twitter is where you can see my hilariously awful jokes and updates that get pruned out so my art is the main attraction and I can still have my fun.
My discord is not open because it’s going to be the same deal. 1v1 convos are just not on my agenda unless you’re alright with me never speaking or just saying the same tired things all the time. (i’m tired/busy/sleepy/busy) Maybe someday I’ll be in a group discord where I can talk to a lot of lovely people at the same time. (I’m already mod in one, but it has been capped for now.)
Will you tell us what your new blog is when it’s made?
Maybe. I won’t try to use this blog to promote my new one because I feel that it is disingenuous to use this thing I didn’t finish to promote something I hopefully will. Pride? It’s more like guilt. I’d hate to be a disappointment again. I’d hate to disappoint you again.
What about this story?
I can give you the very short version of what I had originally intended for Kippy’s KipQuest under the cut if you want to know the story at the most surface level. There, you will see my incredible lack of planning. I will not elaborate much more than this in the interest of not writing a novel. I apologize that all the nuance is gone. Rip all the worldbuilding.
Just in case, you decide to not read under the cut (it’s all story stuff anyway) I wanted to say thank you for all the good times. I learned a lot about art, myself, and commitment. I asked a lot of questions to a lot of people and learned so much about others. It was fun while it lasted. This is not the last you will see of me. But this will likely be the last update post I make on this blog.
You know what they say, right? Better luck next time.
Kippy would have made their internal struggle known to their mother that they didn’t know whether to pick a boy name (Skipper after Amelia’s father) or a girl name (Pankaja which is a name related to soil though the language of origin escapes me). Kippy’s mother, Amelia, assured them that no matter what they ultimately decided, it was their choice to make and that she would be proud of her little kipper.
Kippy, who was born male, chose Pankaja as her official name but still likes Kippy as a nickname. She then takes on female pronouns and begins to make her way into the world at large. During this time, Jalon, a Honchkrow leader of the village Kippy lives in, has her put on a team prematurely because Jalon does not like that Baaba challenges his authority.
Baaba confronts the Grand Psion - a sort of gauge for an individual’s potential - and demands that he tell the truth about Kippy’s potential. The Grand Psion, who was most certainly lying about Kippy’s abilities at the request of Amelia, claims ignorance and Baaba doesn’t buy it, so he storms off with renewed vigor to get Kippy trained in the only way he knew how.
Amelia has the Grand Psion lie about Kippy’s potential because Kippy was born a Bad Egg because Amelia had a lot of trouble with having children. Amelia had a number of previous attempts with her mate, Armament - who was a Garchomp that died in the line of duty - but they all either miscarried or just did not hatch when they were supposed to. She begged the Grand Psion to lie about Kippy so Kippy wouldn’t get herself killed in a military life. Kippy never finds this out.
Kippy is paired with Pepin, a Buneary who failed to live up to his family’s astronomical expectations, and Pax, a Swablu who hates being a Priest and fulfilling the role of a “healer” despite having the ability to use Heal Pulse. The three of them are sent off on a mission that was not meant for them to complete, due to a mix up between assignments.
They end up delving into a cavern and finding evidence of humans existing as well as the Red and Blue Orbs and the Meteorite, which were placed in this deep cavern to keep Columbia, a radically violent and nihilistic Origin Jirachi, from continuing to hunt down and slaughter other Jirachi to gain their power.
Kippy releases Columbia, who very nearly kills the three of them on sight and disappears into the Realm of the Fairies, who have begun preparations to make an attempt at truce.
Bellatrix, who had saved Kippy and Arimus from the approaching Fairies in the beginning, ended up returning to face those approaching intruders head on with her partner, Ronnie. Ronnie is a Gardevoir who did not gain the Fairy typing when the original Blight swept the land. Nobody knows why this was, but that is the only reason she is accepted in the Valley of Darkness.
That Fairy party was a party sent by the highest order of fairy nobles to attempt a truce with the smaller neighboring land before a hopeful collaboration to unify with the Land of Dragons. The Prince of the Fairies was sent as a means of instilling an element of trust, but Bellatrix doesn’t believe that the instigators of this divisive conflict have any positive intentions in mind. She mega evolves, kills most of those present on both sides, and flees into the forest, where she succumbs to the dangerous power that mega evolution entails and falls into madness fueled only by fury and rage. Ronnie survives only because the Fairy Prince, Adelaide, stabilized her.
When Kippy and company return to the village, Jalon panics because he assumed they were going to do something simple, and instead came back with items that belong to the Land of Dragons. In order to maintain control of his people, he accuses Kippy and company of being insiders and mounts an attack using only his Murkrow flock. Pax’s trainer was an Eevee and she jumps in to protect her trainee, evolving into a Sylveon to have a better chance of fending Jalon’s lackeys off, though this solidifies the accusation that Kippy and co (and by extension, their families) are spies for the enemy.
Amelia immediately and instinctually uses her combined strength with Pax’s trainer, and Baaba, to give Kippy and co a chance to escape alive. It is never determined whether their families survived this attack because Kippy never ends up going back.
Baaba finds them in the hills outside of the village. Kippy is panicking, but Pax and Pepin are able to calm her down well enough for the four of them to figure out where they need to go. Baaba says that the Land of Dragons would be their best bet because he knows someone who has clout.
They are discovered by an adventuring party of Fairies, are captured, and taken back to the main hub where all the decisions are made. They are granted amnesty because the Fairies are attempting to make peace with the surrounding areas.
The Fairies are under the control of Xerneas, who is a fragmented and corrupted being that was created by The Bastard Palkia. Xerneas itself is an instinctual being, who has complete and total mind control over all Fairies on this world when it is awake. It only ever seeks to destroy anything that would oppose it, as well as anything that it deems a danger to it. Xerneas had been asleep for a while, but the damage already done had to be slowly undone, which proved to be almost impossible considering that the sight of a Fairy usually meant a fight was going to break out, so peace talks were rare and were hardly ever successful.
Kippy wants to help, naturally, but has no idea how to do so. She thinks that the Jirachi she released would be able to help, so she goes looking for it. Baaba stays close by for the longest time until he is attacked during another encounter with Columbia and is revealed to be a Zoroark. Kippy takes this rather well in the moment, but later confronts Baaba about it.
Baaba explains that pokemon in the area all live on a massive island created by the same Mewtwo who gave Bellatrix the ability to mega evolve. This area used to be a secluded safe haven in Kalos, so many pokemon who were harmed by experimentation make up the population, which is why there is a rather tumultuous civilization in the works. Columbia offers to spare this world if they can convince the slumbering native Jirachi to appear so Columbia can take it. It is assumed that Columbia’s attempts at seeking the native Jirachi failed, and he claimed that he was “helping” the mortals because he is a god.
Columbia is an elder god, but he is also a creation of The Bastard and is therefore, fundamentally broken on every single level of his existence. This doesn’t really matter, but Columbia spins it in a way to make himself look better, and to get Kippy and Baaba to call the native Jirachi. This works later on and that Jirachi is shredded and consumed by Columbia, who then departs to find more Jirachi to consume after flipping all his middle fingers up at the preps.
Baaba does not accept Columbia’s offer, but Kippy comes up with a plan to trick Columbia into a false sense of security. This plan fails miserably. Columbia kills the native Jirachi, and in retaliation for mortals even attempting to lie to him, wakes Xerneas up from its deep slumber. He naturally has a big villain speech explaining how Fairies are indeed evil by design because The Bastard doesn’t care about what it makes and leaves things to fester. Even humans have harnessed Fairy energy to create devastating weapons and this is no exception.
Xerneas arises and takes control of all the Fairies. At the same time, in human civilization, Magearna and the Ultimate Weapon designs are finished and deployed. The rise in harmful energy leads to a chain reaction where Xerneas’s instability directly contributes to the creation of a second, more unstable Yveltal constructed of corrupted energy.
Yveltal flees, spreading devastation and destruction everywhere. The world begins to end and there is a bright light in the sky.
Kippy and co try their best to help, but they are divided on what to do. Xerneas needs to be stopped, but there is chaos unfolding around them as they try to escape the Realm of Fairies and make their way to the Land of Dragons. Baaba has stayed with them, and no longer assumes the form of a Rattata. When they make it to the Land of Dragons, Baaba seeks out and finds the oldest dragon there, a Charizard named Basil.
Basil is upset at how these events have unfolded, but when the gods are involved, it never ends well. He promises that his attacks will be swift, but he is not optimistic. Kippy is worried, though by this time, she has evolved from a Mudkip/Gible into a Garchomp. There was a lot of tears shed and fear throughout this transitionary period, but she is determined.
Columbia has disappeared, but his presence alerted Marty, a Celebi who immediately arrives to survey the damage. It’s too much to bear. The end of the world is coming naturally, so he begins his job to tie up the loose ends and let the world collapse in itself. Despite Baaba begging that Marty not do this, Marty does not listen. Baaba lashes out because he wants Kippy to be okay. That’s his partner. His most trusted companion. And he is too smart to let her go so easily.
Marty explains that it’s better for all of existence if this world dies naturally instead of being ripped apart for no reason. Xerneas must be contained. Baaba asks Marty if Xerneas could be contained, would that allow the world to be left alone. Marty makes no promises, but does hint that their time would be extended, as everything dies eventually.
Baaba and Kippy convince Pepin and Pax to go back to the village to reiterate the information that they learned. They also convince Marty to go with them to confirm their story. Baaba and Kippy then go to Xerneas, who is deep within the forests, wandering and screaming.
Baaba has a special tool that he plans to use in order to get Xerneas under control. They fight, they win, Kippy mega evolves, and Baaba uses a Master Ball to seal Xerneas away.
It, at one point, would have been made known that Baaba is from human settlements in Kalos, where he was born before his mother made a deal with Mewtwo to create this supposed sanctuary. Humans had done a lot of fucked up shit prior to this and his mother was the result of experiments in testing pokemon’s potential. He carried with him a couple of tools from the human settlements because he inherited that human level of intelligence and planning.
Once Xerneas is sealed away in the Master Ball, Baaba explains to Kippy that there is a whole other world out there to explore and he remembers fondly traveling through Kalos a little bit before his mother whisked him away from humans as a whole. He says he wants Kippy to see the world for what it is, a wonderful place, but humans are also not to be messed with. Baaba explains that humans treat pokemon differently and sometimes badly and he wants to change that, but the only way he knows how is to show them. He offers Kippy the opportunity to go with him to Kalos. Kippy accepts.
Baaba also offer this opportunity to Pepin and Pax, both of whom have evolved fully. Pepin accepts. Pax does not.
It ends with Kippy and Pepin willingly being put into customized pokeballs and Baaba assuming the form of a human before it’s assumed that they go to Kalos and change the human world as well.
That’s all ey wrote. Hopefully the next time I do this, I do a better job.

Roleplay Server Log #203
"The Bad Trainer, The Mammoth Ride, Arden and Splender”
-The figure gets clearer and it's obviously a pokemon trainer, he has a garbage bag tied to his waist-
[Doc] What? Can't I play my part as a dragon to the hilt now and again? I have a fair and naked maiden and a baby to defend.
[Sweet Alex] Oh, it's someone helpful. Good job.
[gem] -swims over to her pokemon and start petting them and giving them berries-
-The trainer scowls at the group before noticing the vulpix in Lie's arms in his arms-
[Trainer] - Where did you get that vulpix?
[Herabrine] Why is it any of your business?
[Trainer] - Because that's my Vulpix... Give it back!
[AVulpix] Growls-
[gem] if it's your then how did she catch it
[Doc] Cranes hir head over near the human. - Nope. Push off. I remember you.
[trainer] Takes a step closer- Give me my pokemon!
[AVulpix] Opens their mouth and blasts off a burst of ice which creates a sheet between it and the trainer-
[Doc] Uses the tip of hir snout to give him a shove - Get lost.
[Trainer] Throws a punch at Doc-
[Doc] Is punched but doesn't move. - That's all you've got? I think you're out of your league buddy.
[Herabrine] That's a gentle puff of air compared to Cp I'm sure
[gem] -growls- if she was able to catch it that mean you let it go which mean it's not yours anymore now get lost before you do something you will regret
[Lie] - Leave, this pokemon was taken from you because you abandoned it!
[Sky] Can I eat him? -Bored tone of voice-
[gem] that's my job
[Alexsezia] You can do the huge mouth thing like the normal Enders Sky? That's kinda terrifying.
[Sky] If I want to, definitely. Feels a bit weird but probably looks weirder. Kinda like unhinging your jaw, but.. Excessively.
[gem] and I have a jaw that can break though any bones try me trainer or should I say former trainer
[Doc] I don't know how this game would handle someone actually dying....
[Alexis] - Go away kid, adults are having relaxing time
[Doc] But I'm still pissed at you for trying to cook your poor Feebus.
[Trainer] - It was a worthless fish!
[Doc] You're the one that's worthless.
[gem] no pokemon is useless
[Alexis] - My boyfriend rather likes it
[Sweet Alex] And he actually takes care of his pets. You're a meanie head.
[Herabrine] Rolls her eyes- you tell em Alex...
[Deer] - Leave or we'll call Officer Jenny
[Sky] Or I'll eat you, if she's not fast enough. -grin-
[gem] sky that's my job
[Sky] You're not the only one who eats people, Gem
[Alexsezia] Look kid, we're nobody you want to tangle with. Just walk away.
[Trainer] Growls but turns around and storms off-
[gem] true
[Doc] Jerk. Fuck people who are mean to animals, honestly.
[Lie] Gently cradles the vulpix-
[gem] I am more confused how he was so chill with a dragon in his face
[Sky] Probably dragon like animals here?
[Deer] - Well considering all the different types of creatures here...
[Doc] But they usually don't talk...
[Lie] - Who cares, at least he's gone now
[Sky] True, true.
[gem] exactly that and my looks well I have never seen any Pokémon that even closely looks like me
[Alexsezia] How is Feebas anyway Alexis? Learned any moves yet?
[Alexis] - It usually just swims around in it's little pond, sometimes it splashes
[Herabrine] Maybe they get visitors from other games rather frequently here? We're not the only digital entities in the multiverse.
[Doc] I thought the splash was a move? Or is it flail? Silver told me about a weird type of orange fish pokemon that evolves into a gigantic sea serpent. Just go's to show you never know what experince can turn someone into.
[Alexis] - True
[AVulpix] Is sliding around on the ice before it melts-
[gem] doc your thinking of magikarp
[Doc] That's it! I saw a picture online, it looks so silly. I would never have guessed.
[Deer] Sinks lower into the water again-
[Yaunfen] Yawns-
[Sweet Alex] So how are our creepypasta pokemon trainers faring?
[Doc] Honestly I think Deerheart talks to them more then I do. Since she's home more often. Aww, you getting itred little one?
[gem] they are hard to train and is mostly a mockery because they only know splash which does nothing but I have seen someone beat the whole game with just one
[Sweet Alex] That's really inspiring Gem!
[Deer] - They seem to be okay, but I still can't really get through to Strangled...
[Sweet Alex] Maybe I should hug him too?
[Doc] You're such a perfect cinnamon roll, never change. - Xe pats Alex's head lightly with one paw.
[gem] this is why I said no pokemon is useless if the battle is failing it's because of the trainer
[Doc] I agree absolutlely. They just need love and attention and tons of exercise.
[Herabrine] Is that why you're up at the asscrack of dawn jogging with yours lately?
[Doc] It's mostly the Goomy. Keeps it from trying to fight everything and everyone.
[Lie] - Sits back down with a sigh- Good Vulpix's
[Serperior] -gets closer to the regular vulpix-
[Doc] I don't know what to do with Strangled. But at least he isn't destroying the house. He just hates my guts.
[Herabrine] He hates the rest of you too.
[Doc] Gee, thanks.
[RVulpix] Hides away in Lie's arms-
[Serperior] -tries to nuzzle regular vulpix-
[RVulpix] Whines, it's very skittish and scared-
[Doc] Gem, I think the little fox is scared of your giant snake...
[gem] come here Serperior -serperior comes over and she pets them-
[Doc] Silver was having a similar problem, his Zweilus and his Sylveon don't get along at all.
[Lie] - I don't think that's the case, I think it's just scared of everything, especially after everything it's been through
[Doc] No I mean, it might be type difference too? Do grass types get along with fire types?
[Lie] - I don't know
[Doc] Lifts Yaunfen easily in hir paws and sits back on hir haunches to cradle them - This game is so complicated. I keep meaning to read up on this but never get more then one or two articles in.
[Glitchy] -Actually happens to be passing by, Shiny pokemon in tow.- Fire types have a type advantage, but if the pokemon in particular know eachother they can get along, but the grass type might be wary. -softly.-
[Deer] - Glitchy? What are you doing here?
[Doc] Hey Glitchy! Come to replenish some PP?
[Glitchy] Just passing through? This kind of is part of my series... No, not today Doc. Just looking for a gift, is all.
[Lie] - A gift? For who?
[Glitchy] One for Strangled, another for Purin. I already picked one up for Silver. -scuffs heel a bit- I was thinking of picking up a few eevees for shits and giggles too.
This message has been removed.
[Lie] - Purin?
[Doc] How many Eevee types are there Glitchy?
[aven] speaking of pokemon aven was looking to catch one
[Alexsezia] What was she wanting to catch?
[Herabrine] Something that isn't a water type!
[aven] bagon
[Glitchy] Another pokepasta. -pause- ... Not sure if she actually still counts, honestly....
[Glitchy] Well, currently there's about 8. Of course if you count glitched, you could have a lot more. I have a full set but really keep Flareon most.
[Glitchy] Why?
[Doc] Why would they not count as a pokepasta?
[Glitchy] Well she ended up taking the place of someone in the next generation and stopped their shit, I liked her. She was pretty cool. Gave me a Lopunny.
[Doc] Oh, so she's an NPC in one of the games?
[Glitchy] Takes the place of one, yeah.
[Glitchy] Hard to explain, really. But yeah. -Waves hand a bit- I'm here to hunt down gifts. Probably going to hop to a different gen after this.
[gem] like which one?
[Yaunfen] Tries to climb farther up on Doc
[Glitchy] Gen 4. Or, I could do any of the games just after this one like Emerald, Fire red or Leaf green...
[Doc] Yeah, I feel you... - Xe clambers out of the water and lays across a large stone. Xe puts Yaunfen up a bit so they can crawl all over their parent to their hearts content.
[Yaunfen] Crawls up into Doc's mane to settle down-
This message has been removed.
[Yaunfen] Flops closer-
[Glitchy] Been meaning to check out the Ranger games too...
[Sneasel] -Walks over to Doc to look at hir, head tilted-
[Alexsisezia] What's Ranger?
[gem] I use to have the first pokemon ranger game
[Doc] Looks back at the pokemon - You're an odd little one.
[Glitchy] A different version of the games but with different mechanics. No pokeballs, but there's this little device that lets you temporarily befriend a pokemon. Sounds very inefficient, honestly.
[Sneasel] Snee. -Pats Doc's face-
[Doc] Good pokemon. Anybody got a berry?
[Sweet Alex] I like befriending critters, sounds like fun
[gem] I do -holds one out for doc to take-
[Doc] Thanks- Xe slides a paw over to pinch it in hir claws and offers it to the sneasel, which has much smaller, but much sharper claws of it's own.
[Sneasel] -Scrutinizes the berry a bit before taking it and popping it into it's mouth- -Approving nod, turns and returns to Glitchy-
[Glitchy] If you want to try it, I could probably hunt down a catridge and a system. I like using those first so I don't find a messed up game.. -Shudders-
[Sweet Alex] Messed up?
[Herabrine] You mean like BEN's haunted copy of Majora's Mask, don't you?
[BEN] Shudders a little as he's feeding Hyrule-
[Glitchy] In a way, yeah. My game was pretty fucked up too. Really badly damaged games make me.. very sick. My own game was really glitchy. Really, really glitchy.
[Doc] A little bad code is fine, too much is nauseating, I agree. I once made the mistake of taking pixels from a deteriorated game. I was really sick. Scared the fuck out of me. I was homeless and friendless at the time.
[gem] -sink to the bottem on the spring and lays there before starting to make planet necklaces again while below the water-
[Glitchy] Honestly, considering the state of my game, I'm lucky I'm solid and wasn't any worse off than my eyes...
[Doc] Aww. I would have fixed it for you. You know I live to mend broken pieces.
[Deer] Notices that Yaunfen is fast asleep and giggles a little-
[gem] -the first one she makes looks to small to be worn but looks like its made of stars- hmm -puts it on her head like a flower crown it fits perfectly-
[Doc] Has been fanning hir tail tip to dry the hair and puts the warm fluff over hir baby. There's a bit of a rumble as xe purrs softly.
[Lie] - Do you think the guys are okay?
[gem] -starts to make crowns and make a one that looks the planets look like flowers and come up quickly to put it on lies head before going back down-
[Lie] Is surprised by the sudden weight on her head-
[gem] -is making more at the bottom of the spring-
[Herabrine] We'll come back to them all worn out from drinking and fighting and sprawled all over the damn spawn.
[Lie] - Hopefully CP doesn't try anything
[Alexsezia] I'd be just as concerned with Mb....
[Lie] - Good point
[gem] -makes another that looks like fish and water drops and puts it on hera's head quickly before going back-
[Sweet Alex] Thankfully Gk is usually too busy playing with Endrea's babies to make mischef...
[Herabrine] What the Nether?
[Deer] - He certainly does love them
[Doc] Who knew he'd make such a fantastic uncle?
[Herabrine] Snorts- Unclebrine
[Glitchy] well, if that's all you've got to ask I should be going now..
[Lie] - Oh come on Hera, I bet if they could swim you'd play with them just as much
[gem] -makes one that looks like a bow and arrows and puts it on alexsezia's head-
[Doc] Glitchy? What do you do when your pokemon get burned? Is there something special?
[Alexsezia] That's weird... um, thank you Gem.
[Glitchy] A brn heal should work. Do you need one? I keep some on hand because flareon likes to burn everything .
[Doc] Yes please. In fact, if you can get me examples of the different healing medicines I'll trade or make you whatever you want for them.
[gem] your welcome -makes one that looks like it's made leaves and vines and put's it on deer's head-
[Deer] Giggles a little-
[gem] -makes one that looks like cookies and hearts and put's it on sweet alex-
[Glitchy] I couldn't accept anything, strangled would probably lose it. I'm already a filthy packrat as is. The bags are bigger on the inside so you can put shit like bikes in here. -starts taking out different potions, status healing things, and revives, handing one of each over while saying what they are for-
[gem] -makes one that looks like lighting and doctor crosses and puts it on doc-
[Doc] Thank you Gem. And if you're sure Glitchy. I can just make copies so I'm not leaving you poor for the giving. - starts clicking around-
[Glitchy] If I think of anything i could need I'll be sure to ask.
[gem] your welcome -makes a candy base one and put's it on yaunfen-
[BEN] Is rocking Hyrule- There, all fed and changed
[hyrule] dada wa-er baff
[BEN] - No, how about a horsie ride?
[hyrule] wa-er baff
[BEN] - How about the horsies?- Starts heading outside
[hyrule] baff
[BEN] - Horsies- He heads for the horse pen, the sight of the animals making his heart ache a little for Epona
[hyrule] baff
-A horse trots over to them and sniffs at Hyrule-
[BEN] - See? Look, a horsie
[hyrule] baff
[Nia] Comes out- BEN, it has been a couple days... And babies really should be bathed every day...
[BEN] Groans- Nia, I'm not giving him a bath
[hyrule] baff
[BEN] - No Hyrule, come on, let's get on the horsie- He enters the pen and carefully climbs onto the horse so as not to jostle his child
[hyrule] dada baff
[BEN] - Shhhh, no, now come on, I know you like to go fast- He urges the horse into a gentle trot
[hyrule] -is pulling at bens shirt- baff
[BEN] - Hyrule, no- They end up riding out past Lie's house and towards the village
[hyrule] baff
-There's a bit of a commotion as a giantic mammoth charges past BEN, there's someone clinging desperately onto it's back-
[BEN] Moves quickly to keep the horse under control- The fuck!?
- The mammoth turns and gives a light buck, kicking up it's giant feet as nimbly as a pony-
[BEN] Looks to see who's on it's back-
[Steve] Looks elated and determined with a clump of hair in each fist-
[BEN] - THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING!?
-The mammoth stops suddenly and turns to BEN, it's eyes are bright as stars under the hair-
[BEN] - Don't you fucking dare I will not hesitate to drown you, you overgrown ball of fur!
[Steve] No! It's okay! He doesn't mean any harm!
[BEN] - Normally I'd be laughing my ass off over this, but you ALMOST RAN INTO US!
[hyrule] dada baff
[Steve] Sorry. We were just playing.
[Mammoth] Pats BEN's head with it's trunk tip-
[BEN] Growls at it-
[Steve] Just laughs - You want a turn?
[hyrule] -trys to reach up ad grab the trunk-
[BEN] - NO! I'm trying to take Hyrules mind off of things
[hyrule] baff
[Mammoth] Lets Hyrule play with the tip of it's trunk.
[Steve] Oh, is he stinky again?
[BEN] - No, he's not!
[Mammoth] Snuffles and draws back with a pained expression. - Chuff!
[hyrule] -takes the trunk and wiggles it back and forth-
[Mammoth] Eyes watering-
[BEN] - Come on Hyrule, let's keep riding
[Steve] Yeah.... that's stinky-
[hyrule] -lets go of the trunk- wa-er baff
[Mammoth] You really need to get used to the idea of bathing him...
[Steve] Agreed.
[BEN] Almost falls off of the horse- THE FUCK!?
[Mammoth] Big grin with huge square teeth. - Looks like I haven't lost my touch... Your face was priceless.
[BEN] - Fuck off
[Steve] You're just mad cause he suprised you.
[BEN] Glares-
[hyrule] dada
[BEN] Attention immediately on his son as he speaks more quietly- Yeah?
[hyrule] baff
[Steve] Okay.... we'll go. We just needed to blow off some steam. I'd stay out of the village for now.
[BEN] - What did you do?
[Mammoth] They need some space...
[BEN] - And no, Hyrule
[hyrule] baff baff
[Steve] We told them about what happened to our NOTCH, and that meant telling them about Markus...
[BEN] - And I wouldn't want to see this, why?
[Steve] There's not much to see. They kinda split up into quiet groups to discuss their feelings. It's pretty subdued.
[BEN] Grumbles- No fun there
[Mammoth] We're you expecting a full scale rebellion or something?
[BEN] - Something
[hyrule] -sees the pond aqua is in and points to it- wa-er
[Mammoth] They do trust me and Steve you know.
[BEN] - No Hyrule
[hyrule] wa-er
[BEN] - How about we try Lightning again?
[hyrule] -points again- wa-er
[Flicker] Wanders up, She has three tiny creepers in her arms- Lord? Father?
[BEN] - Light-ning
[hyrule] baff
[Mammoth] Oh... sure, hang on. - The mammoth curls down and reforms into TLOT with a bit of fog fading around his boots.
[Steve] Gets gingerly down from his shoulders.
[BEN] Watches with interest as he rocks Hyrule a little-
[Flicker] I can't speak for the others, but I'd like to meet this... Markus. And I could use a bit of a hand...
[Creepers] making lots of unhappy fizzing sounds.
[TLOT] Of course Flicker. On both counts. What's wrong with them?
[Flicker] Upset tummies. I think they snacked on something they shouldn't have but I don't know what it was.
[BEN] - Don't they only eat dirt?
[hyrule] baff
[Steve] I have one of Doc's basic healing potions... - Fumbles a bit for the bottle-
[TLOT] Well fertilizer... and dirt...
[BEN] Groans- Hyrule.... No.
[Steve] Helps Flicker tip a bit of the liquid into each of their tiny frowning faces.
[hyrule] baff
[Creepers] tis tis tis
[BEN] - Come on, let's keep riding Hyrule
[hyrule] baff baff
[BEN] - What can I give you that would make you stop saying that?
[hyrule] baff
[BEN] Facepalms-
[hyrule] wa-er baff dada
[BEN] - How about no?
[hyrule] baff baff
[Arden] Is pacing around the spawn with a small phone - Why are you telling me this now?! When I'm.... Out of town! And I can't do anything about it?
[Splender] Is taking Pinwheel on a walk and notices Arden and tilts his head at Arden-
[Arden] Yes I know, I'm sorry we haven't talked much apart from chat... my webcam has been.. broken.
[Splender] Steps closer quietly, keeping pinwheel out of striking distance of Arden-
[Arden] What do you mean I can't tell anyone... this is amazing! Yes, I'm aware you almost got killed....
[Arden] Oh... yeah, I guess that would be bad, but... okay... okay... dammit... You're killing me here Ever... No, I don't know when I'll be back.
[Splender] From behind Arden- Who are you talking to?
[Arden] Hang on... I'll... call you back... I need to think about this anyway... fucking hell... - clicks the phone shut and runs his fingers through his messy red hair. - Splender... he's just a friend. Someone I met online a few years ago...
[Splender] - What was he telling you? You're not as happy as usual...
[Arden] His.. girlfriend is into some really weird shit... fuck it, it can't hurt for you to know. She made some kind of monster and it burned their house down.
[Splender] - Oh dear, we should go help them then!
[Arden] There's nothing to help, they ran from it and left it in the dust. They're safely away but still... it's pretty horrible. Even though I know it was dangerous as hell... I almost wish I could have seen it...
[Splender] - Well... Would you like to see your friend?
[Arden] No, it's okay... we've never actually met in person. And I don't want to just pop out nearby. Somehow I don't think his girlfriend should know about all.. this... Especially if she's preforming exorcisims on herself.
[Pinwheel] Bites Splender's tendril-
[Splender] - Are you sure? It wouldn't be difficult at all...
[Arden] I think I'd be guilted into bringing them back here, and that would be bad...
[Splender] - Alright... You said one of them was performing exorcisms?
[Arden] Yeah... she had some kind of inhabiting spirits. She's been making shells and filling them with the unwanted visitors in her mind. I thought it was just a psychosis but.... Ever seemed so genuinely scared, and after everything I've seen....
[Splender] - What do these shells look like?
[Arden] Different things. Birds, human shapes, one's kind of like Lapras without the shell. They're like animal shaped bags.
[Splender] - Interesting... Can they talk?
[Arden] No. I think that was intentional...
[Splender] - Hmmm, oh well, either way, be happy. Sour emotions don't taste very good.
[Arden] I'm happy they're safe. Fuck, I'm happy I'm safe.
[Splender] Laughs a little- Zeke is always really happy when you're around, his happiness is thick and rich
[Arden] He is a really good friend. He's shown me such amazing things.
[Splender] - Stick with him and he could probably show you more, just, don't ever run from him,, promise?
[Arden] Run from him? Oh-okay...
[Splender] - Promise me Arden
[Arden] Is rather intimidated by Splenders earnestness - I-I promise...
[Splender] Gives off a burst of happy energy- Good! Now a promise is a promise so don't you dare go breaking it!
[Arden] Has a inadverdent flash of what Splender could do to him and swallows, - I wouldn't dare. Hey... um... I read something about your big brother and.. do you mind if I ask you a question about him?
[Splender] - Go right ahead!
[Arden] That old story about Slenderman taking peoples organs out and bagging them individually and then hanging the bags high in trees....? Was that actually him, or just a serial killer? And if it was him, why? Does Insanity get to him too sometimes?
[Splender] - Yes he does do that, either to scare any remaining victims or to act as a warning. You can only do the same thing for so long before you start trying to figure out ways to spice it up a bit. He doesn't do it as often anymore since he usually gives the organs to EJ now. Plus it made the humans super wary of the woods, wondering just what could do that
[Arden] Shivers- no shit... I thought it was partly to show how tall he is by putting something super out of reach without leaving ladder or tree climbing marks or broken branches.
[Splender] - What else would you like to know?
[Arden] Do I even want to know who Ej is and why he would want human organs?
[Splender] - EJ was originally human like you, he was a med student who was, as far as he can remember, sacrificed to some sort of cannibalistic god
[Arden] Oh... I have experience with paranormal stuff, not so much with creepypastas. What do you guys normally do when you encounter monsters? Is it just a live and let live thing?
[Splender] - Most will leave my brothers and I alone, and others learn that the other pasta's are under our protection and so will not mess with them, this includes the proxies as well
[Arden] Did you already know about the manwolves that attacked my group?
[Splender] - I believe Offender mentioned them, tore them apart and made sure none escaped... And then did his thing to them
[Arden] His thing...? Oh... No! I don't want to know! -shivers-
[Splender] - That's alright, I understand- He pats Arden on the head with a belled tendril
[Pinwheel] Bites at Slender twice in rapid succession-
[Pinwheel] Hisses at Arden-
[Splender] - Pinwheel no!

Well since you mentioned it... Hau, Gladion and the Sun/Moon's Mom reacting to Sun/Moon getting killed by a UB?
Ask and you shall receive, dear anon~ Ha, I may have dug my own hole by suggesting it but we all love some angst in our lives, don’t we?
Also, I should mention than instead of headcanons, I’m gonna do this in the style of a scenario. I feel like that’ll help me get the emotions across more clearly.
WARNING: Mentions of death, blood, depression, probably more things. Read at your own risk.
It happened so quickly.
One second they’re smiling, confident that they’ll be able to take care of this just like the previous Ultra Beasts, and the next they’re lying on the ground, blood pooling around their body and their pokemon making noises of distress and worry for their trainer, circling around them.
A few meters from them, stands an Ultra Beast, it’s mouth, which took up most of it’s body, growling dangerously at the small human lying on the ground. It stomps towards them, but the pokemon that were surrounding their trainer just seconds ago, turn around and glare at the approaching beast.
The Arcanine growls, standing between his trainer and the UB, paws firmly on the ground and teeth bared in a snarl. At the same time, Toucannon and Decidueye pick up their trainer and take up into the air, carrying them away from the danger, the Arcanine following suit after making sure that his trainer was at a safe enough distance from the beast.
The pokemon bring their trainer back to their home, but it’s clear that they are no longer with them. They look so…lifeless. The Arcanine nudges his trainer, but all he feels is the cold skin of their cheek. He tries again, poking their hand with his nose. They always petted him whenever he did it, but right now, they didn’t even move their hand an inch.
She comes out of the house because she heard howling, and as soon as she does, she wishes she hadn’t.
“Oh my god…!” There was so much blood everywhere..even the pokemon were covered in it…and their face was pale, their chest not moving…
She collapses on the stairs, sobs that could be heard up the hill escaping her lips. Her baby…the one thing that was keeping her going through everything…they were here just today morning, eating their breakfast and playing with Meowth…they had waved to her, telling her they’ll be back in time for dinner.
“M-my baby…m-my b-baby…” She cries, tears spilling out of her eyes and falling on the ground. Looking up at her child, she can’t help but cry harder.
This isn’t how she thought they’d come back.
The next day, Looker and Anabelle are there, asking where the champion is and if they had taken care of the Ultra Beast they had set out to battle. They looked so innocent, she couldn’t have guessed they were the ones responsible for her entire universe crumbling and turning into dust.
She slams the door in their face.
Hau comes later in the day, asking if he could talk to his friend about going to the malasada shop to try the new malasada flavor they were giving out…and the pure happiness on his face makes her break down into sobs again.
~
It’s like a tsunami crashes into him, soaking him through and making him lose his breath. He can’t believe it, but the state of utter sadness that the woman in front of him is in, and how it suddenly felt so very quiet…assures Hau that his friend, who he honestly considered to be his best friend, is in fact no longer with them anymore.
He wants to scream, and cry, and punch whoever was responsible for it. Who on earth could’ve done this? They were the champion, the toughest and strongest trainer in Alola…who would be able to overpower them so much, that they died in the process?
“Where…” he gulps, hands formed into fists, form shaking, “W-Where are t-they…?”
The woman starts sobbing harder, grasping her shirt where her heart is, “I-In…” she gasps for air, “In th-the hos…” she sniffles, trying to wipe her tears to no avail, “H-Hospital…” she covers her face with her hands, trying to hide her face from the young boy, “U-Until the…the funeral…” she sniffles.
Hau kneels before her, hugging her tightly, “I’m…I’m so sorry for your loss, Miss…” he hugs her tightly, “I’m so, so sorry…”
Later, when he’s back home, he tells his grandfather what happened, and informs him that he’ll be going to the Aether foundation for a bit.
“I need to tell Gladion about this.”
~
When he’s first notified of a Charizard arriving, Gladion assumes it was Sun/Moon. They often visited him for a chat or a battle, after all.
But when he sees who it really is, he realizes he couldn’t be more wrong.
He didn’t particularly hate Hau, not at all actually…but something about how hyper and smiley he always was, made Gladion tire easily. It was much easier to spend time with Sun/Moon, who were a calm and welcoming presence…
But something was really wrong with this picture. Hau wasn’t hyper or smiley. In fact, his frown could rival Gladion’s own. Concerned, Gladion exchanges a nervous glance with his companion, Sylvally, before hurrying up to meet with Hau.
“Hau? Did something happen at home?” Gladion narrows his eyes, “What’s up with you? You’re never this upset over anything.”
Hau bites his lip, “It’s…complicated.” he lowers his voice, “They…they’re not here…”
Gladion frowns, “Who? Sun/Moon? I can see that. So why are you so upset? They live closer to you than me, that’s for sure.”
Hau shakes his head, “Not…like that…” he looks up at Gladion, “They’re dead, Gladion. They’re not here as in they’re dead.”
Gladion blinks, “W-What….?” he shakes his head, ‘That’s ridiculous. Why would they-”
Hau glares, “Do I look like I’m joking here?! It’s true. They’re dead.”
Gladion growls, “There’s no way in hell that it can be true! They’re the champion! They beat my mother, of all people! Who could’ve-”
“It was an Ultra Beast.”
Gladion stares at Hau as if he had grown a second head. An ultra beast? How could that be? Sun/Moon had told him that they were capturing them, sure…but they said they had it under control. He grits his teeth. They promised that they had it all under control.
Gladion brings a hand to his face, running it through his hair, “How…what the hell happened?!”
Hau shakes his head, “I don’t know either…all I know is they went to catch the Ultra Beast…and then they didn’t.” he bites his lip, “Their mom said the funeral’s gonna be soon…I figured you’d want to attend.”
Gladion’s hands ball up into fists, “You’ll just quietly accept this?”
Hau frowns, “There’s nothing else to do, Gladion. They’re not coming back just because I want them to.” he looks down, “All we can do…is say goodbye. They’d want us to.”
Gladion scoffs, “I’ll find that damned Ultra Beast and kill it.” he starts walking away, but Hau grabs his arm with a surprisingly strong grip, keeping him from leaving, “That’s not what they wanted.” Hau looks at Gladion, “They wanted to help them, Gladion.”
“Yeah, well…look where they ended up because of it.” he huffs, “I’ve told them that they’re too trusting of everyone…stupid…”
Hau smiles weakly, “They really were, weren’t they?” he sighs, “Just…come to the funeral, okay?”
Gladion nods, his gaze falling to the ground, “Yeah…okay.”
~
The funeral just makes it worse.
Gladion stands silently, staring at the coffin as it’s lowered to the ground. He can feel his sleeve getting wet from all the crying Lilly was doing, her arms wrapped around his for support.
He could hear Sun/Moon’s mom crying not far from him, but he couldn’t for the life of him look away from his friend, or more exactly, what his friend was in. It really was surreal to him. How such a strong person could die so easily…it really put into perspective for him how no matter how strong you are, you’re going to end up dead, no matter how it is that you live your life.
He finally averts his gaze once they start putting the sand in the hole. He notices Sun/Moon’s pokemon, quietly standing in front of Sun/Moon’s mom, and in all the times that he’s seen them, he never saw them so…lifeless. It’s as if they died together with their trainer, and the sight was making him teary-eyed.
I promise, he thinks in his head, as he looks back at the hole in which his friend rested. I promise I’ll do whatever I can to catch that beast, just like you wanted to do.
Well, this was a…thing. I wanted to make it short, but there was no good point to end it. (That’s assuming any of this is good. Haha.) I do hope you guys liked it. I realize it’s not as angsty as you probably would imagine, (I imagined it much more angsty, trust me.) But this is how it is. I’m pretty proud, honestly. This is one long ass scenario.
Thank you for the request, anon, and I hope you enjoyed this!
