She had her eyes closed, just focusing on the unknown melody to soothe him and steel her nerves. Internally, she was a mess. Her heart pounded against her chest as a flood of emotions (love, anguish, regret, and guilt) washed over her. Oh, how the guilt weighed the heaviest in her heart. She was dreading this moment, their faithful moment back. There were too many unknown variables in the air. 

Despite the unknown, she knew one thing for certain, she could not leave Lucifer in this state. The moment she heard him speak, her eyes landed on him, she knew she had to do something. “Hey, stranger...” She whispers, trying to hide the wavier in her voice. She picked the corner of the blanket up and whipped away the tears from his cheeks. “You’re not doing so well, right?” 

Will she be able to mend this? Will she be able to soothe this mind? She doesn’t know, but she had to try. Just something. “Please tell me what’s going on in that head of yours…” The light surrounding her body dimmed into a soft nightlight glow.

O̴v̶e̸r̵l̸o̷a̸d̶e̸d̵- Open

Lucifer sighed as his baggy eyes roamed the darkened room, making sure he was alone. When he was satisfied of the solitude, he summoned one final thing from his reserve of strength.

His simple, yellow cotton swing, mounted on its vertical hammock stand. The King tucked his body securely into the fabric, and produced a small duck from one of his work chests. He fiddled with it..and mulled over the night.

It had been a wonderful night…but he’d pushed it. They’d renovated the dance studio, equipped it with more lights for the show Angel wanted to put on, displaying one of his routines. The bright LED lights and booming music had filled the establishment, along with laughter. He’d felt so integrated, so happy…so part of a family for the first time since he’d finally started reconnecting with his daughter.

The King had loved spending time with them, and so he’d ignored every warning sign. He pushed every throb and buzzing in his head with more snacks and conversation. Everyone was in the lobby now, still abuzz with excitement. He’d been invited to see more of his new friend’s dancing, and he was determined to. He was fine! He just…needed some time.

It didn’t bother him that he had to be in here, back where he could maintain an illusion of control. He was fine with the fact Niffty caught how bad he’d been stumbling on his words today and asked if he was still drunk. He was fine that Husk had trailed off in mid sentence and asked him if the bar lights were bothering him. He was fine that Charlie had to ask him the same question three fucking times before he heard it. And…he was fine that everything he’d planned today—his activities, his duties here, had been derailed again because of this.

He was fine.

He tinted his eyes beneath some dark glasses, and he was relieved they shielded the tears. “Eh….it’s…fine, Mortimer,” he managed out, smiling as he squeezed the rubber duck. “Sunglasses are…..what the cool kids are wearin’! It’s just you and me now, like old times. I guess.” He didn’t hear the door opening. “Just like, pssh, totally fine with that.”

I’ve been feelin really lost lately and I dont expect you to answer this but. I’ve been struggling to decide if this is just a sexual thing for me. I work in a masculine field so sometimes I just wanna fit in, and other times i just don’t know. I feel like as I go on i get more confused. I enjoy aspects of both genders i dont. Sorry just needed to get it off my chest feel free to ignore this.

I do get the feeling of wanting to not stand out, fall back in the crowd, but, to me it really really hurts to be seen as (-gosh even typing it out hurts too much-)- and that pain is subtle, if you're used to it

The uncertainty you feel, to me, seems like a sign that's there's definitely more gender going on then you might've accepted in yourself

Wanting to be a girl! (At least some of the time)

And not for kink reasons (though gender euphoria is incredibly sexually gratifying!!!) but just, to be a girl

To be cute, to be feminine, to be seen as, a truer version of yourself then you currently are?

Gosh if that makes sense

It's a hard thing to figure out, if you'd like a sweetspot between genders: that's possible!!! Nonbinary folks, gender fluidity, there's lots of cuties with labels that might line up to your experience

And regardless of where you inevitably end up, just confronting yourself with "I am not a cis-man, and that's okay"... Hurts

It's hard!!! But really it is okay

You're loved for it

And I'm proud you're still taking these steps!

Talking in depth with some other girls, maybe calling a transhelpline there's a lot you can do to move forward, and little things like trying different pronouns online or swapping to a pink pfp

Just, let yourself be feminine

Let yourself be cute

Even outside of kink

Since gosh for so so many girls they're into the kink because they are girls
