A small dcaXy/n idea I had

Premis: Y/N works part time in the daycare but doesn't really interact with the dca which doesn't mean the dca didn't notice them there.

Start of the story

Y/N gets messages from an unknown number and decides to answer

They start messaging thinking that they don't know each other at all

They notice that the tone and wording in the messages switches completely throughout the day but get used to it way too fast

Y/N's life is a complete mess right now so Unknown is a pleasant distraction

They never tell each other their real names but use nicknames instead

Both share how they feel often and text about life and just anything that they think of

Someday y/n just calls their unknown friend to share some great news because they have no one else they want to share it with

They don't pick up but call back later

A male voice they have never heard answers. A pleasant one. They talk for hours.

But the voice tells them to only call at night bc he can't talk on the phone while working. But texting is fine

Y/N falls in love over late night phone calls and long text convos

They ask if they could meet up and hang out

He doesn't answer

The connection goes silent

The last thing he sent is "I'm so sorry. But I can't" written only a few minutes after their question (in the middle of the day)

Hours go by and they get no answer from him anymore

Hurt and worried Y/N is in a daze of crying and starring at nothing for the rest of the week

This is when Y/N misses their break bc they stayed in the daycare closet to cry

As they step out the daycare is dark sth that Y/N was never there to see

Then they hear it. The voice of the person they love singing from where the kids are sleeping.

Y/N stumbles through the dark until they reach the kids and lock eyes with the daycare attendant

Moon goes quiet and his eyes betray him and show his shock

Y/N is stunned

"It's you?"

We can start by transferring over the "Cross is Catcoded" vibes, that takes care of a lot of qualities.

I've told this story on here before but when I realized I had a thing for Cross (WTF wtf I have a character crush tf it's been 20 years I thought I was rehabilitated) I told him while we were watching the show and his reaction was, and I quote:

"No, THAT GUY? He makes me feel so called out."

Which is husband speak for,

"I see me in this character, a lot, and I don't like it."...

And honestly explains where my attraction starts.

Now physically he doesn't resemble Crosshair, which honestly thank goodness. I DO find Cross unbelievably sexy but that's like, an effect of liking him as a person character, not a cause. (Demi)

My guy is 6'1" and broad. Swimmers build. When he's not sporting extra cushion he actually is built more like Hunter. Also not immediately intimidating. People think I wear the pants around here. I can not stress this enough, I DO NOT.

This man is aggro despite his outward stoicism. He finds it to be his life's mission to fuck with assholes. Usually by being the bigger asshole. He can and WILL (and has) call someone a cunt to their face.

One time while we were at a deli counter this uppity old lady started getting huffy about how long it was taking and began to disparage the workers. The other biddys in line started to fall in line with that Mob mentality until he pipes up, "Can you believe what a cunt this bitch is being?" Loud enough for even the people behind the counter could hear him. That shut her up. (And got us better service anytime that particular staff was working, so bonus.)

He wins fights just by agreeing to them ( in irl people who actually try to fight you in a parking lot are incredibly stupid cowards. They attempt to intimidate him cause they mistake his quietness for weakness. This is wrong. As soon as he stands up these idiots bolt.)

but i cant stand when i have literal fetish or porn roleplay blogs with stolen art posted all over their blog with horrendous writing that's there JUST for the sake of the feeling and not the joy of writing something fun PEEVES ME OFF. i enjoy a good smut thread, don't get me wrong! but that's with friends, not people i've only had a couple words to share with.

If you're taking suggestions, how about this one about Connie coercing Steven into seeing a cardiologist.

Synopsis: Young adult Steven and Connie living together, she gets to notice things about Steven more closely, even things he doesn't. Although Steven claims to feel fine, Connie notices the symptoms of chronic heart disease, regardless of how used to it he is. Likely due to Steven's lifetime of trauma, stress, overexertion, and poor dietary habits. After a serious discussion, Connie finally convinces Steven to go get his heart checked out. Afterwards, Connie insists Steven takes better care of his heart from now on, and she offers to help him with his heart health.

Oh lord, while I'd love to write something like this, I don't have nearly the required knowledge of the human body haha. I love how detailed this is, though! Hopefully someone will see this and feel inspired. I personally know of plenty of Connverse authors who could probably do wonders with this prompt.

That being said, I personally don't think Steven could canonically have heart disease (or any disease, for that matter) due to his healing powers. If he can insta-heal broken bones, the same very likely goes for other health issues.

Funny coincidence, though: I actually very recently had an idea for a short relating to Steven's biology; specifically his aging. The fact he's effectively immortal is never discussed in this fandom 💀

Felix blinks. How......... bold. He supposes its a better opener than stilted niceties, if nothing else. He's sure he could hazard a guess as to who this, and the two trailing behind him, is, but he frankly doesn't care that much? And in this sort of setting, he doesn't feel the need to.

ahem! i dont know if this possible but can u tell us a bit about the railways and trains station? perhaps a brief history of em? maybe even where they are located.. again this info is totally not for note-taking ahaha

<on a meta level, if this was a proper game the stations would have been hub levels where you can rest and prepare before adventures and the railways would have been the fast travel systems to locations>

<originally the stations were basically just the guilds from Pokemon Mystery Dungeon but i realised that that didnt make sense so they eventually became more like a mall? the stations are still heavily associated with adventurers but since theyre easy to get to by design, on a lore level theyre essentially just like. gathering areas where anyone can go anywhere. itd reflect that initial inspiration from pmd lorewise too, stations would have started as places where adventurers can do favours for non-adventurers but has since then become general gathering places for all>
