hi again! i stumbled (aka i was editing and reached) a paragraph i wanted to share with you because i feel like it fits canon tk and carlos too somehow :(

For a moment, he just lets himself be held. And sometimes he feels ridiculous for wanting this, for needing it, but Carlos’ presence, his arms around him, his warm breath on his neck, makes him feel more at ease than anything else in the world. What that means, he doesn’t know, but he loves it, loves Carlos, and he swears to himself he won’t let anyone take this feeling of safety away from him. He spent so long craving this, needing it, that he can’t. He won’t.

It's like 3:33am for me and I saw this when I got up to take a tea break and I...oh this is everything!!I feel like this is such a beautiful representation of tarlos. And you're right this fits canon too. Oh my god I had read this multiple times it's so perfect. Feeling safe in relationships is just so important and my heart feels so full reading this 🥺🥺. And TK who's been through so much finally finding this safe space I am going to cry 😭. This is absolutely perfect, thank you so much for thinking of me 💜

3️⃣What are three things you’re hoping to see in season 5? - Buttercup was one of them 😭 Otherwise, as much Tarlos intimacy as possible in both big and small ways, and a really well-written resolution to Carlos' feelings about fatherhood. I'm someone who is all for Tarlos becoming dads and I have been for a long time, but I'd like it to be handled in a really satisfying way. Also, because we're not getting Buttercup, my third thing is plenty of parallels with previous scenes that help things feel wrapped up in a neat bow. Another 'impressive guy' would send me to the moon.

🔫- Who murdered Gabriel? - At the moment my main suspect is Chief Bridges.

⚰️- Will anyone die this season? - I hadn't thought so before the convention, but Rafa answered yes to this question and Natacha was quick to confirm it wasn't going to happen to Marjan, TK or Carlos. Eeek! I don't know who it would be out of the mains and if they'd go there, so maybe he's referring to Enzo. Or is that too obvious? I just don't know. Maybe Carlos kills hs dad's killer and that's what Rafa is referring to!

Exactly we don't actually have a backstory for Carlos. Apart from 2 or 3 good Tarlos scenes and some great acting, nothing came from the first 4 episodes of season 4.

You know how we could’ve gotten some insight into Carlos? If what’s-her-name had teased Carlos about what he was like in HS at that meeting at the loft instead of being fully rude to TK. Instead the writers made A Choice™️.

Re: tarlos hs AUs, yes we absolutely could use more but I read a childhood friends-to-lovers one recently that was quite lovely! Well, the overall fic is pretty angsty, and it has a non-linear narrative, but the high school & younger parts of it are sweet (with just a touch of angst). It's a long one but worth it!

I gotta know about the Miraculous! Tarlos fic 👀

I'm so glad you asked, I've been binge-watching Miraculous (if any of you follow my main you may know that ksdjfgh) and I literally can't stop thinking about TK as Adrien/Chat Noir and Carlos as Marinette/LadyBug (may change the name but idk) which would make Owen Hawkmoth (the similarities are uncanny) And Marjan as Alya/Rina Rune and Paul as Nino I just don't know if I want it to be another hs fic or college (bc high school is too much pressure for superheroes imho)

I dunno if you take prompts, but if you could, bc i love your writing, maybe a tarlos piece where they get a call to do with bullying of a gay kid at a high school and it really gets to them? i hate bringing up the trauma of hs for a lgb person, but its such an intensely poignant bonding thing between lgb people-im an emt and i work with two lgb people and our passion for our work and team comes from wanting to make things better for others like us

Carlos sets his comb down again without having used it, then leans over TK. He rubs the tips of their noses together, taking TK’s wrist in his hand and pulling it away. “You really need to learn some self control, Tyler,” he murmurs. “Says you.” He laughs softly and pecks TK’s lips. “Come on, get dressed, we’re taking a walk.” “A walk,” TK repeats slowly.  “A walk,” he confirms. “Via the store.” “What for?” “You’ll see.” Rolling his eyes, TK pulls Carlos down on top of him far more easily than he expected. He wraps his arms around his boyfriend and presses a wet kiss to his cheek, his jaw, his lips, and Carlos lets him. “Five more minutes?” he asks with his best wide eyes and pleading pout. Carlos studies him for a moment. His eyes scan across his face, and he lets out a puff of air. “Fine. But then we’re going to the store, okay? TK hums, but he’s already planning how he can turn five minutes into an hour.

“Happy birthday to you,” TK starts singing the moment he kicks his bedroom door open. He finds Carlos sprawled out on his back, limbs starfished onto TK’s side of the bed, so he wanders over and sets the breakfast tray onto the nightstand before sitting on the edge of the mattress. He toys with a particularly tight curl drooping on Carlos’ forehead as he continues singing, “Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to Carlos ‘my-favorite-person-in-the-world’ Reyes. Happy birthday to you!” By the third line, Carlos has opened one eye and struggles to hold back his smile. By the end, he’s openly beaming at TK despite the sleepy look on his face, and TK leans down to kiss him. He means for it to be a peck, but Carlos brings his hand up to cup the back of his head, so they linger for a moment until they part for air, both of their smiles bright. “Good morning, birthday boy,” TK murmurs, and Carlos brings his hand around to cup his jaw. “Happy birthday. How did you sleep?” “Good. Always sleep good with you.”

“Yeah?” Carlos nods. “One day. One day you’ll be Reyes-Strand.” For a moment, TK presses his lips together to try to stop himself from laughing, but it doesn’t work, and he laughs right in Carlos’ face. Carlos laughs with him, though, cocking his head to the side as TK asks, “What’s wrong with Strand-Reyes?” “Nothing.” Carlos ducks down to press a kiss to his lips. “I don’t care so long as we share it.” “Me neither,” TK murmurs, and he captures Carlos’ lips again.

TK furrows his brows, Paul raises his, Carlos cocks his head to the side, and Nancy watches on with an unmoving smirk. Because of course she already knows.

Paul is the first—and only—person to ask: “Talk about what, Marj?”

“Well,” she rubs her hands together, “it’s a certain somebody’s birthday next week, and—”

“Oh, no, no,” TK interrupts. “No, we are not talking about that.”

“Uh, yeah, we are, dude,” Nancy says.

Groaning, he tosses his chips to the table and flops against Carlos’ side. Carlos lets out an oof noise, but after a beat, he wraps his arm around TK, massaging his arm.

“The big one-eight,” Marjan says. “It’s a life event, TK.”

Yeah that's it I wanted to let you know I'm always thinking of them. Now that we're on the topic, what drink would the boys pair with a hot chocolate? No because tell me why I can see them snuggled together in the booth here...I miss them :(

that sounds so cute though 🥹 i feel like they love a good hot chocolate and hiding under a load of blankets together (even if tk prefers tea, but carlos probably makes that for him instead/as well as)
