DT is Liraz's equally dead husband - so, in case you haven't noticed, yes, this is the goop-only MareNight of the two Nightmares (+Goose's Error and Ccino). if this bothers you, uhh. idk this is a pretty big part of the lore LMAO

DT doesn't usually do much from what I've been told and have witnessed other than watching Liraz bully the snot out of Corr and occasionally chiming in with his own eerie comments. He's the main reason Liraz does what he does - DT believed his death, along with the near-deaths of his and DD's own children (this is not Dreammare!! DT and DD did not have children with each other, I just can't word it properly), were planned by Corr himself after suggesting a trip to a random AU to visit the park. DT fed Liraz that belief and also partially blames Liraz for "not being there to help." Liraz believes everything he says wholeheartedly, and is basically just trying to satisfy DT with his actions.

so, in short, DT is a manipulative husband who has a soft spot likely smaller than Liraz's own. they're great

I don't know a lot about DD, but what I do know is pretty cool! Dream, in Goose's original AU of sorts, already has an injury from Terror in one of his eyesockets. This injury was abused in the attack in the park, as mentioned earlier, and festered up until his entire skull was simply gone. And then he was DD! He mostly clings to Liron, who I will talk about next!

Goose can probably tell you more about DT and DD, as I am a pathetic little worm and can't remember anything unless it's smushed into my face. Onto Liron!

Liron is a goofy little (very tall. this man has some Trevor Henderson proportions) guy (cryptid) who I absolutely love writing. He unintentionally scares the snot out of Corr by scuttling around in the edges of his vision at all times. He's weird, he's animalistic, and he loves cats and used to treat Archer (future Shattered!Dream) (also Goose's) like his own child. He was, unfortunately, killed by Liraz in a burst of unexpected violence after hearing news of DT and DD's deaths. He can't really remember anything before he died, so he still tries to hang out with this strange goop monster every now and again - getting a hard "no" every time. That's okay with him! He's very polite, but also determined, so he'll figure out a way to be friends one day. Probably.

imagine with me Danny ends up in Gotham some how and is a mad scientist that is hired to make cool shit and gets BANK but then the bats crack down on the shit and they see a 13 year old boy with big ass goggles with machinery all around him and looks up for a second before glancing up again as if confirming what he saw and then slowly turns around “Hi…? I swear if these are one of my delusions than I will be complaining to HR- wait am I… HR?”

Danny ends up in Gotham after Nasty Burger happened, but to not become Dark Danny, he buried himself in machine work, using some blueprints from his parents' lab as a baseline and then eventually creating his own.

Some guy in Gotham found him one day and decided that he had a talent for making stuff like this, and that he'll pay Danny handsomely if he made some things for him, and, well. Danny was pretty low on money from his parents' bank account after blowing most of it on machine parts.

So he accepted.

Then the guy started requesting some other things for some other people and he eventually became his middleman for the big hitters in Gotham who wanted his stuff. Well, not that he knew his stuff was being given out to the big hitters that also include villains, since he spent most of his time just building, then eating, then passing right the fuck out, and repeat.

Then the bats crack down on him, and Danny's been making some shit for more than 24 hours already with no rest time and just a little snack here and there, and then he questions if he accidently inhaled something he wasn't supposed to because the bats are literally in his workshop/house.

So he thinks he maybe high as shit right now and then just treats them like they weren't there and goes back to making his thing because that one guy said a person with a fuck ton of money wanted it. Then Batman pulls him away from the machine and he's like: "Huh."

Still thinking this is a massive hallucination because he's high as a kite, he tries to get Batman to let go, but his grip is pretty strong, then he pokes him and then goes: "Oh, maybe this isn't a hallucination."

Just doing read more because it's a bit long to list them all. All are SFW and fluffy. 💙

Price for sure is going to every. single. store. He's going to find this cake one way or another; he won't come home until he's got it. He loses count of how many places he tries. He makes store managers call other stores to see if they have it in stock, watching them from the counter with narrowed eyes. When he tracks down the last one, which is another hour away, he asks the store to set it aside and pays them double when he arrives for their effort (and to apologize for slightly threatening them if they sold it to someone else). Traditions are important to him and he'll be damned if he misses a year. "I know it's almost midnight dear, but it's still technically your birthday. Never mind where I've been all day, not important."

Soap is making a masterpiece. Baking may not be his forte per se but man is artistic. His creation is a variation of all the different caterpillar cakes; selecting only the best qualities from each. And yes, he looked and studied them all. He has pictures of them all over the kitchen counter with notes on each about what he likes and doesn't like. Then he sketches out his own picture and uses it as a blueprint for his design, proudly naming it Craig.

"Clyde's eyes are terrifying, bonnie. But I didn't like how Chris didn't have feet...they have to have feet or then it's a snake. And Morris was boring, not enough stripes."

Gaz is in the kitchen for hours baking. He's bought everything he needs in bulk because he knows it's going to be a learning curve. He ends up with multiple failures, that he'll take to the team to devour, before finally getting it right. By the time he finishes, the kitchen is a disaster—every pan, bowl, plate, and pot (yes pot, he ran out of clean bowls) is dirty by the time he finishes. And flour? It's everywhere, his hair, clothes, the cat. "Stay out of the kitchen. Just sit here and enjoy this...I'll be back in a bit. If you see the cat just brush him off for me, yeah?"

Ghost enlists Soap to help him. It ends up with a bunch of arguing about how to do it. They fight over where to put the milk chocolate decorative pieces, the proper spacing of the eyes, the size of the feet and every other little imperfection Ghost can find. Soap eventually leaves telling Ghost to do it himself...before coming back thirty minutes later to help him finish. It's a bit lumpy and there are little slashes where it had been pulled apart and resealed with chocolate icing like glue from Ghost's attempts to get it perfect. "It's a bit beat up, sorry love. Tried to make it perfect for you, now it looks like he's been to war with all the scars."

Bonus:

Alex, poor soul, had no idea this kind of cake was even a thing at first. He assumed a caterpillar cake was just a sheet cake with the Very Hungry Caterpillar on it until you explained. Once he knows what it is, you get a caterpillar cake every year; he doesn't care that shipping costs three times as much as the cake itself. But this year the shipment runs late and he has to call in backup...which involves Gaz going to the shops to sweet talk the little old lady bakers for their recipe while Alex frantically takes notes. He only has a few hours to get it together and while he does his best...it's the thought that counts right? At least it tastes like it's supposed to.

"I know it's not Colin but if you squint hard enough it's vaguely a caterpillar....really squint, maybe cover one eye, and stand back a few feet. I promise your real one is on its way, just had a bit of delay."

Rig technology was rediscovered from fabricator blueprints in the Teleths.

The most common type of rig manufacturing in Septentrias is generally shop manufacturing similar to a shipyard. Manufacturing a single rig generally takes a team of experts and laborers, similar to a medieval blacksmith shop forging suits of armor, or boatwrights making ships.

Maintaining a rig is much easier. Most rig blueprints were designed with mass produced, replaceable components in mind, which aids in repairability. A single worker can keep a rig maintained for quite a long time.

Basically, if a town is large enough to have a militia or state armed force, it's gonna have a local rig shop you can take your rig into for repairs.

New rigs are FAR less advanced than ancient tech rigs. If Kali's HR&R Pauldron is a steam locomotive, the EXO white is a modern Abrams tank.

This is partially because the technology is still highly advanced, and partially because old rig technology is built to resist types of weapons that flat out don't exist anymore. It would be like a medieval knight finding a kevlar tactical vest. Like nice plastic shirt asshole I have a zweihander. For example: The EXO White has a complex system for defending against directed gamma radiation weapons that is completely useless against getting run over by a steam locomotive.

it had been one of the hottest days in elritea. and yet your wife for the life of her wouldn’t listen to you when you told her to step out of her office and take a break with you. gods, you worried for her health at times.

you’d wanted to take her out, maybe have some stuff to eat and to just enjoy the weather and your time together. but she remained stubborn.

“just for a bit.” you attempted once again, only for her to grunt out in disagreement. hunched over schematics and blueprints.

“rishima.” you sighed, earning a little look from her.

“’m busy doll.” she’d mutter quietly, tracing the pencil across the paper in precise and fine lines. making sure there are no imperfections nor flaws.

“too busy for me?”

the room went quiet, you weren’t really sure if she even heard you as the pencil continued to draw around the paper. so shutting your eyes and hanging your head for a moment, giving it a little shake before straightening it and walking out the office.

“well i’ll be in the livingroom,” you whispered out. trudging out of the wide expanse and flopping down on the couch. facefirst into soft cushions and blankets.

you saw your step-son wander by with a plate of food in his hands, trying to balance it along with a few cups. alarmed at the sight you got off and ran over to him, picking some of the cups out of his hand and giving him a little glance.

“rishen you can go twice. i’m sure your boyfriends would survive it.” you huff softly, the soft joke rolling off your tongue.

he smiles sheepishly in response, shaking his head.

“knowing them, they would start whining more than they did when i went down to get our stuff.” hr laughed, looking at you with fond eyes. “Thank you for the help.”

“of course” you chuckle. helping him get the food and drink to the room and greeting his boyfriends before departing and going to your step-daughter’s room to assure she’s doing alright too.

gently knocking on the door, you hear Lucia’s voice chime in response: “yeah?”

“you doing okay in there?” you ask, earning a little chuckle. “I am, doing art project.”

with a small smile and a nod, despite her being unable to see you retreat from the door and call out once more before leaving: “well then i will leave you to it, you call if you need anything. okay?”

and after that you sighed a bit, turning around and walking down the stairs to get back to the livingroom and sit. but just as you reached the last step, you were snatched into the kitchen. your lungs squeezing a bit, leaving you to yelp.

“come here,” you’d hear the familiar voice of your husband murmur, Javier holding a test arepa up to your mouth for you to taste.

“Oh?” you chuckle, “you’re the one makin’ food today?” you hum out quietly, taking a bite and savoring the taste.

“Vendrán Neva, Gael y Lisse. Tengo que hacer tanta comida como sea posible. (Neva, Gael and lisse are coming. I have to make as much food as possible. )” He responds, lifting a brow at you. awaiting a reaction to your taste test.

with a click of your tongue, you tut a few times, trying to get the thing the arepa misses. “mm put some more vegetable oil in the batter.” you hum, “no more salt needed.”

with a nod, the man gets back to making the food, and you wander out the kitchen, seating yourself down on the couch and sighing. looking up at the ceiling aimlessly.

you don’t really know how long you sat like that, all you know is, that you felt a new weight on your lap, as rishima had laid her head down on it, computer propped on her tummy still as she continued to write. eyebrows furrowed.

with a curious look, you tilted your head in question at her sudden appearance.

“why aren’t you in the office.” you murmur, not with the intention of making her go back there, you wouldn’t allow it. but you still wondered what made her leave.

“you know i never mean anything bad when i tell you i’m busy, doll.” she mumbles, voice carrying the slightest bits of rasp.

“. . .” you stay quiet, looking away. but made to look back again as a hand finds your cheek, gently guiding your face to tilt down and look into magenta eyes. a pair of soft lips find yours, and her hand moves through your hair. keeping it at the scalp to massage at it a bit.

“i have time for you, even when i’m working. thank you for caring.” she sighs, as she leans back down on your lap to keep her head, fingers tapping away at the computer keyboard.

and with a smile at the sight, you lean your head against your arm on the couch lean, watching your wife work happily now that you get to have her close to you.

29, 35, and 42 for Harrisco, please?

29.) Who is more likely to jump in an elevator? Who freaks out?

Cisco is definitely more likely to jump in an elevator. It's just a fun little experiment in how jump distance changes when you're already moving up and the floor is higher when you land or when you're already moving down and the floor is lower when you land. It's fun, it's physics. And the elevators are probably the only they've kept up with the safety certifications for in that place, even if it's just Cisco testing and reinforcing everything himself so it's more 'unofficial' certifications. But he knows everything is safe and he's made sure the doors are easy to pry open if it ever gets stuck. So the elevator is a safe place to him.

But I could see Harry having some mild claustrophobia issues with elevators. The first time we see Harry in an elevator on the show, I think the main point of the scene is the lighting being brighter, you can easily see exactly who Harry is even if he is dressed in his CEO of STAR Labs outfit that's similar to Eobard's every day attire. It's meant as a contrast to when we first see Eobard reveal himself to part of Team Flash - Cisco's alt timeline death scene - where the elevator is poorly lit give Eobard that extra bit of drama he craves. Though admittedly, both Harry and Eobard are dramatic dorks in their own ways.

But I think Harry hates how poorly lit E1 elevators in STAR Labs are. It makes them feel smaller, more confined, more anxious to get out. On his earth, their brightly lit, they feel bigger than they actually are because they have light reflecting paint colors chosen for the inside, whereas the E2 elevators are darker in wall color, absorb the light more...

He doesn't freak out exactly, but he definitely gets that teeth-clenched 'stop doing that, Ramon' reaction when Cisco gets antsy and bouncy in an elevator, so Cisco does make an effort not to do that around him. He probably takes the stairs a lot though, which... Cisco's not gonna complain about the results of that. ;)

35.) Who's more artistic?

Everyone assumes it's Cisco. Because he makes the super suits, from design to manikin. And he quilts. (Everyone eventually acquires an assortment of quilted pot holders, place mats, table runners, and/or variously sized blankets from him.) And of course, Cisco expresses his sense of aesthetics in the tech he designs, which is art in and of itself as well. But Harry's got his artsy side too.

Harry writes poetry. He's extremely shy about sharing it - though he'd deny shy is a word that could ever apply to him. He's especially self conscious about it after reading HR's novels, since those were actually really well written.

He also paints, something he got into after the war that helped him as an outlet for some of the trauma he went through that he couldn't express other ways. He really got back into painting after his wife died and it's become his go to outlet when he struggles to find the right words to say how he feels.

When he doesn't have paints, he sketches a lot. (Such as the sketch of himself with Jesse he had in his room at STAR Labs in S2.) Sketching started as something he learned to do in college for hand drawn blueprints, but it's a skill he worked on over time and he learned to draw more than just schematics but people and nature scenes. Cisco can also sketch, of course, and it has the same sort of origins - he learned to hand sketch mechanical designs in high school/college and his skills evolved from there. Though he's focused more on using sketches as a starting point for the things he creates through other mediums - suit designs and quilt designs made via fabric and metalwork for his tech.

I'm not sure we could really quantify who is the most artsy here. Cisco's more open and vulnerable about his art, but Harry is no doubt just as creative. And he's probably sent a few paintings to people here and there who've yet to realize the indecipherable scrawl in the corner is H Wells. (Barry and Iris definitely have one that was a wedding present. Joe and Cecile have one too gifted at a baby shower. Cisco probably has a few that he's well aware Harry painted for him. Caitlin and Frost have received at least one as birthday gift.)

42.) What's their favorite type of weather to enjoy together? (getting snowed in together, watching thunderstorms, etc.)

Mild fall weather for leaf peeping. It started as a flippant joke on Harry's part, but Cisco wouldn't let it go. So the first autumn where they were dating, Cisco set things up so that they were sitting on a picnic blanket with a lovely picnic lunch surrounding by trees that were turning vibrant shades of red, orange, and yellow. Cisco couldn't resist playing in the leaves and Harry was utterly enchanted when Cisco returned to the picnic blanket with a particularly vivid yellow leaf in his hair.

They do have a fondness for snow days, though. Where they can stay in together, snuggled in blankets and/or curled up in front of a fireplace. Hot chocolate instead of coffee, the one time Harry won't complain about coffee substitutes. And if Jesse shows up they can have a free-for-all snowball fight.

(And of course they both secretly enjoy watching each other on particularly hot days, sweaty and stripped down to the minimum amount of clothing they're willing to wear in polite company and still be decent. The first time Cisco goes shirtless outside on a hot day, Harry's brain blue screens for a few minutes. Frost sticks an ice cube down the back of his shirt while Harry's not paying attention/too super focused on Cisco. He absolutely shrieked over the sudden cold.)

it's (somewhat) from a future AU of an rp @goosebutaustoo and I are in!! there isn't really a name for the rp itself but the AU is History Repeats (aka HR!AU)

everyone is either sad, dead, murderous, or just not in a good situation. Liraz (future NM/the NM referenced in the Springtrap image), Liron (future Sunny/my Dream), Dead Terror (Goose's future NM), and Dead Dream (Goose's future Dream, ofc) are a few members of the main "cast."

as you can probably guess, they're dead. HOWEVER, they are haunting (more like torturing, on Liraz's end) HR!AU's Blueprint – Corr! Corr is one of many in the "sad" and "bad situation" categories, both with how Goose has been referencing how his goop is extremely acidic and painful even to himself, and Liraz's continued existence.

Liraz is just a jerk to nearly everyone he sees, whether he's visible while doing so or not (Corr definitely gets the most shit, Liron and DD are some sort of grey area, and DT probably gets all the love he can muster) (which isn't a lot) (but he tries, at least)

in the rp they're jerked back to the past (that's not the main plot of the rp, it just kinda happened and I am certainly not complaining) because Corr got shoved into a snack cabinet. Blueprint and Nightmare are basically just Liraz's bullies now that he's been somewhat forced to stay out in the open and not scuttling around in the shadows or in Corr's broken mind

anyway there's a lot more to this AU but I'm gonna keep this how it is rn because I've put too much time into this singular post (/hj I love this AU and love to talk/write about it)

Sorry I got a lot of questions and sending it all in one ask seems smart

Buck and Dave are fully aware of High Roller! High Roller works as HR (CR? PR?) and is quite friendly with most of the other managers and employees in COGS.Inc

One day, Buck and Dave did something so absurd, that it got the both of them fired (Evils and I don't know what this incident could have been, but our guess is that Buck ended up becoming too powerful to an eldrich degree somehow, probably through contracts with Dave, and ended up using some kind of crazy power through his slot abilities?) Well, Brian decided why not use the scrap of Dave (Brian is fully aware that there is something going on with Dave,,) and Buck and see what happens, so he did.

Once his experiment was done, it finished itself; grew its own skin, more intricate wiring, and finishing touches, and its title appeared on its blueprint page: High Roller.

Brian has been fascinated with this strange occurrence ever since. Now he knew something had to be up with Dave; and besides, of course he built a new Buck, but he never built a new Dave,, and yet the next day Dave was walking around the office again, despite Brian having used his scrap to create High Roller

Dave and High Roller are very good friends! There's something going on between the two of them, omg xD Dave and High Roller keep jokingly flirt with each other and talk to each other in ways they wouldn't with others, and they also do things for each other that they wouldn't with others; but they treat it like a joke, so who knows what's going on between them other than it ain't gay to kiss your homie goodnight; such close friends that you can wake up hugging in the same bed; such close friends that you can joke about clacking keys and having long drinks over at each other's houses, etc

Dave likes to go to High Roller and pull little pranks on him, like keeping his chair cold; he and High Roller like to gift each other money (they're like two artists passing around the same 100 bucks); High Roller likes to gift everyone little rubber low ballers, but he especially likes to give silly little ones to Chip and Dave; Dave goes to High Roller's office every so often so he can clang in his corner; High Roller and Dave like to help each other out all the time, and other people they enjoy, and jokingly bicker with each other when it comes to money (they both get into quarrels about who will give who more money or who gets to chip in most when helping other's, etc; they're silly); Dave doesn't normally go to anyone for his thoughts or feelings, but he has been going to High Roller a bit more often for it,,

Buck is a new Buck, and doesn't remember the close bond he had with Dave; but Dave is still Dave and he remembers everything, mi compadre; High Roller is her own separate entity, they don't count themself as Buck or Dave or a mix of them, and Dave and Buck don't count High Roller as such either

So the FireFam learns of a charity gala ice show that’s happening in LA and needs skaters to agree to perform in the show. The 118 being who they are, immediately start telling Bobby he should enter.

He deflects by saying he was a pairs skater, so he wouldn’t know what to do as a soloist and that Heidi is unavailable.

Buck helpfully brings up that Maddie used to pairs skate, and Bobby is eventually annoyed into asking Maddie to be his partner.

She accepts and they end up having a lot of fun.

Against his better judgement, Bobby’s almost considering the show. But then again he’s also considering having one person fired.

“Eddie I was a pairs skater, and I can’t exactly call up Heidi Schatsky for a show in three months.”

“Maddie used to skate.”

Make that having two people fired.

“She did?” This gains Eddie’s interest, as he turns to where Buck is playing with Hen on the tv.

“Yeah, she was really good too-Hen give that back!”

i really need to actually fully re-listen to carlin's blueprint for armageddon. i listened to it ages ago and ended up buying it proper earlier this year to revisit, but didn't finish all the eps (in my defense it's like 23 hrs total). i'm not an avid listener of hardcore history, and carlin's politics do little to endear him to me, but his coverage of the great war is incredibly approachable and so achingly vivid. his descriptions of soldiers drowning in mud trying to save others during passchendaele made me feel sick and weepy. he's not offering any groundbreaking analysis on the conflict, but his storytelling chops are impressive as hell

I’ve been sticking to my gym routine! Recently hit 100 classes at my gym and even participated in hell week! Also thinking of doing what they call the 12 days of fitness but we’ll see. Progress is slow but it’s nice to see it when I do.

Trying to keep in person relationships healthy is a lot of work but I love my little friend group. The folks at the gym we all go to call us the girl gang cuz we’re always there together, almost none of us go alone.

I finished reading the Kings of Sin series and am currently reading the Chestnut Spring series and am in looove. Just started the fourth one yesterday and I’m very excited to get further into it. I’m really wanting to read the last one though I’m really interested in the character that’s been slowly getting set up for it.

I also had one of my sisters over for the first time 😌 we’ve never really hung out one on one since the time of me babysitting her when we were younger but it was fun! She’s coming out of her shell and I cooked us dinner and she hung out for about 2 hours 🩶

Anyways, life’s a lot and I’ve been feeling the itch to write again so hopefully I can whip something up soon cuz I have so many projects that I want to finish 🫶🏼
