Queerness is less like Dracula, where the monsters turn you into one of them, and more like The Shadow Over Innsmouth, where you realize you were one of them all along

Last year I prepared a portfolio to enter art school, and these are the illustrations I inserted in it.
1. OC: A character from a story I wrote, titled “Intrusion IV”, surrounded by the creatures he met in the woods.
2. Richard Upton Pickman staring at his failed works.
3. OC: The protagonist of “Dream I”, looking at and entering into her own reflection.
4. OC: The protagonist of “Dream VII”, who is a non-painter, lying at the feet of her last model.
5. OC: The skald who became king thanks to divine intervention.

note about the uses of “lovecraftian horror” and “cosmic/eldritch horror”: a lot of fans define the three genres (lovecraftian, cosmic, and eldritch) as having very slight differences. cosmic is big, eldritch is old, and lovecraftian is by lovecraft/inspired by lovecraft (+) but tbh all genres are incredibly subjective and a lot of people just use all three interchangeably.

When that search party was tracking Robert Olmstead through Innsmouth and speaking to each other in croaks, I have to assume that that croaking translated to an argument about whether they should tell Olmstead what he is or whether that would be violating the egg prime directive

Space.com: Sci-fi thriller 'Ash' gets terrifying 1st trailer that's dripping with Lovecraftian cosmic horror vibes
Please watch the trailer, it's rare that we get decent sounding movies in the Lovecraftian manner...
End.
