Oh the entire scene by lake shimmerstone was so so beautiful. the presence of a miracle kristen cannot see. the silhouettes of these two saved souls reflected in twilight waters. lucy and yolanda holding hands as they walk out of the dark as cassandra said she’d be there to do. such an incredible moment

nightmare viewing the murder time three as little toys but more in like a little spoiled kid kinda way. because it would be funny and if you take into the account that he was like 6 before getting corrupted and do some mental loopholes it would be even funnier. like these are his dolls (killer dust and horror) and this is their barbie dreamhouse (his castle). they all have to stay in one room because nightmare needs to keep his toys in a toy box. the toys only ever come out when he wants to play but oh damn it they keep on breaking out!! silly toys,,, and then he locks them into the room again.

nightmare serves them food with plastic tea cups and plastic plates and there is no food. there is no tea. they have to imagine the food because dolls can't literally eat. there are food containers and stuff in the house but its all just a bunch of empty boxes. horror starts tweaking out after he scavenges the kitchen and finds a cereal box and milk carton that have NOTHING in it (why keep empty boxes?????)

they have to go where he wants them to go. nightmare gets to dress them up in whatever he wants because theyre his dolls they can wear anything he wants. it gets incredibly embarrassing when the trio is forced to wear pink pretty dresses and fight like that. or they have to go around the castle doing stupid fucking roleplays and it gets weird because theyre being forced to reenact a bullying scene and nightmare's giving them the death stare if they don't get it right (is this projection. this must be some form of coping mechanism dust theorizes)

and then you know nightmare's not exactly the best toy owner so he loses a few of his dolls here and there. maybe they get destroyed when he was playing a bit too rough with them! (killer dies in battle for like the 29th time) but its okay because he can just go back on down to the store (something new) and buy. wait no. steal another doll and then put it back in his dreamhouse and BOOM he has a full set again!! so sweet so cute. his dolls don't have consciousness what are you talking about theyre begging to be let go?? that's all just your imagination. what do you mean you're asking about the several slowly dying bodies with removed arms or legs in his dungeon. oh that's just where the broken but not yet destroyed toys go dw theyre fine its humane

wait no but dad!bakugo finally coming home, and as soon as he pulls up to his house he see's his little girl waiting for him with her face pressed up against the window, all starry eyed and sleepy but so so so excited to see her daddy that she stayed up way past her bedtime just to be there when he walks through the door. 🥺 🥺 🥺 🥺 his heart probably melts at the sight of her, so he completely ignores the stuff he needs to unpack from the car, doesn't bother with anything else cuz all he wants is to hold her and press a million kisses to her chubby cheeks, tell her how much he missed her and how sorry he is that he was gone for so long 🥺 🥺 🥺 🥺

of course he missed you both, and of course he's excited to see you both, to finally come home. but there's something about sitting in the driveway, jet-lagged and overtired, running on fumes. he turns the car off and just. sits there, for a long while, mind numb. it's been an exhausting week and all he's gotta do is pull himself out of the vehicle and lug all his things inside; his baby is probably safely tucked into her blankets, fast asleep — and that does warm his heart quite a bit — and you. he can't wait to just crawl in bed beside you, content just to have the warmth of your body, your familiar smell.

and while he's gearing himself up to do all this, a flash of his curtains catches his attention, and when he looks, he's surprised to find his teeny tiny angel standing against the window, chupie in her mouth, slapping her hands against the glass way harder than she should be.

and maybe it's because he's exhausted and maybe it's because this was his first stint away since she's been born and maybe he is just still getting used to being loved so openly, so wholly — but his frown is so strong and his eyes sting so bad. and he feels like such a huge crybaby, but then he sees you peeking out the curtain, looking just as sleepy and safe, wearing the same smile you gave your daughter — and then he doesn't care about the stuff in the car, doesn't care about anything other than rubbing at his eyes before coming inside, to you both 🥺🩷✨️
