consider this? aces who like sex but don't like being touched themselves? aces liking and getting off on pain stimulation but not pleasure stimulation? Aces who don't like getting off but like sex? Anyway, I'll elaborate on this in the tags bc omg I'm going to yap your metaphorical ear off.

The first time we hear about the supernatural books (I believe) is season 4 where we learn that Chuck has published the books up to Dean going to hell. He has written up to that point but he has only published seasons 1-3. The next time we hear about the supernatural books is at the fan convention where Chuck announces he is releasing new books but Sam and Dean threaten to hunt him down and kill him if he ever releases new books. The next time we hear about the supernatural books is in season 8 when Charlie reveals that she read them and that they are now available online. She makes several references to the books including the infamous “Cas sounds dreamy” comment. Up to this point we only know of Chuck releasing books of seasons 1-3 so I’ve seen a lot of people interpret that as Charlie speaking off of Dean talking about Cas. But honestly this doesn’t make sense given that Dean hates talking about his feelings and talking about Cas (who is overall a very sore spot for him at this point) would be very OOC. Also, the whole episode Charlie makes references to things happening that she wasn’t there for in reference to the books. So we can assume that Chuck did indeed publish more books for at least season 4 and probably seasons 4-7. Charlie is definitely not referring to Cas as dreamy for herself since she’s very much gay. So we can presume that Charlie interpreting Cas as dreamy comes straight from the book aka Dean’s inner monologue! And Charlie (a queer woman who loves canonically loves fandom stuff and shipping) ships Destiel!
