the more this show goes on the more i just genuinely don't get how people hate kant, or at the very least have no empathy for him and his situation.
kant is a man literally built of sacrifice. in so many ways he sacrificed his own life for babe's. over and over and over again. his grief for babe's. his education for babe's. his happiness for babe's safety and security. his social life in order to stay at home taking care of babe. relationships with partners who didn't take any interest in babe, or didn't want the baggage of a man with a dependent. whatever dreams or aspirations he had for himself fell to the wayside, at least temporarily, in favour of supporting babe.
he sacrificed his own freedom every time he stepped out of their house to go and steal a car - something that he so clearly isn't proud of at all - just so babe can get the education he deserves. the fact that he wasn't caught doesn't matter, he went to altar every single time, willing to be caught and slaughtered like a lamb if it meant babe was good.
and then he was finally caught, and he sacrificed himself in brand new ways just so he could stay out of prison. never mind the fact that kant might not have even gone to prison if it was his first offence and he played the system right, and even if he did it wouldn't have been for long. but that wasn't a chance he could ever take, because who would look after babe if he was gone, even for a few months? who would pay for school and make sure he ate? and so he stayed willingly under christ's thumb for god only knows how many years, playing whatever new versions of big brother he had to be, ingratiating himself with drug dealers and thieves and whatever other kinds of dangerous people christ wanted him to, getting himself onto all these people's bad side knowing it would only take one to figure him out and turn on him and put him in hospital, or worse. but that was a sacrifice he willingly made the moment he pulled his grieving baby brother into his arms and said 'i'll take care of him'.
and here it is, the ultimate sacrifice: christ tells kant to jump into the lion's den, promising that if he makes it out alive, he can have his freedom back. and what choice does kant have? if he doesn't they'll be back to square one after he worked so fucking hard for his and babe's stability. and babe's old enough now that kant can start having a life again, and kant's business is doing well, and things are finally good for them, but now this. and if he doesn't do this it will have all been for nothing. so he does it. essentially puts his life up as collateral once again the moment he walks through the door of heart burger and tries to seduce an assassin, knowing it could be taken from him in an instant if he missteps.
except it doesn't go as he planned, because bison is beautiful and bison is bright, and he's sweet and he's dangerous and kant can't help but fall for him, no matter how he tries to dig his heels in and think about the end goal: his freedom, his brother's safety. he says as much to style - style says bison has you wrapped around his finger and kant says i know. that's why i'm trying to end things quickly. and in that moment bison becomes yet another sacrifice kant makes for babe. or at least he's trying so hard to make him one. because what kant wants, he cannot have. not when there's babe to think about.
but it's so unfair. and it's so sad. like yes we all know it's unfair for bison and it'll be such a betrayal, but what about kant? what about his heart in all of this? what about him giggling at his phone screen like a teenager texting bison, only for the grin to fall the moment he remembers who he is and what he must do? what about him acknowledging that he's working so hard to hold bison at arms length but he's failing and that's why he needs this over asap? what about him having to be on all the fucking time, spewing out lie after lie after lie, and what that does that him? what about him being so fucking scared every time a gun is shoved in his face that he's fucked up in a way he can't talk himself out of and that babe will be left all alone in the world?
what about kant having this beautiful boy in his bed, who's kissing him in places he's never been kissed before and telling him that he loves his fuck ups, and that he won't come over because doesn't want to be a bad influence on babe, and that him stealing cars was not only not a shameful thing, but an admirable thing to do for someone you love? this beautiful boy who notices his brother is hurting and follows him to defend him from the people that hurt him without question? this beautiful boy who has asked for nothing but the truth, the one thing kant can never give him? this beautiful boy that kant is falling for, and he knows he is, and he knows he can't, because that's not allowed, because bison isn't his, he doesn't get to keep him. he's just another sacrifice in a long line of sacrifices kant has made for love, and yet this one... this one has claws. this one will leave scars that he'll get to keep longer than he will ever get to keep bison.
kant has been living with an asterisk next to his name from the moment his parents died. from then on, at every opportunity kant sacrificed who he might've been for who babe still could be. he sacrificed kant the person for kant the big brother, and whatever that included. kant the protector. kant the provider. kant the thief, the scammer, the informant. kant the manipulator. never just kant, not anymore.
but then there's bison. beautiful, observant bison who always seems to be asking who are you whenever he looks at kant. and kant doesn't know what to tell him, he really doesn't, bc whatever mask he tries to put on, whatever facade he tries to hide behind, bison just sees right through him. and although kant does everything possible to avoid telling him anything, bison always seems to get his answers anyway, even when kant doesn't say a word. like bison is collecting every splintered version of kant and putting them together to make a whole person again. just kant. no asterisk.
and kant doesn't know what to do, because bison is beautiful and he's in his bed and he has kant wrapped around his finger despite his best efforts. and yet he knows it's only of time before he has to peel himself away and never look back. let bison sit in the prison cell that was always supposed to be kant's. and despite how he might try to convince himself otherwise, he knows the guilt will eat him alive. he knows he'll feel the place where he tore them apart just as acutely as bison will. he'll have to splinter apart into a thousand versions of himself all over again. kant with an asterisk. and he'll have no one to blame but himself.
and isn't that just so fucking unfair?
#the heart killers#kantbison#kant pattanawat#thk meta#genuinely might start crying. i love you kant they could never make me hate you.

"...We're two sides of the same coin, aren't we?"
The whispered confession falls clumsily out of Pure Vanilla's mouth, almost dragged out, bitterly sweet and strange on his tongue. The words are addressed to his own stained candy glass visage, spilling tendrils of bright blue light across the Solarium of Unity despite the almost suffocating darkness invading the rest of the space.
He knows this isn't really the Solarium of Unity, and he knows he isn't just speaking to a window. The lurking shadows, thick like molasses and blinking every once in a while, give that away. Even if it didn't, there is a haziness here that exists only in dreams, and a lack of the deep tiredness that has been plaguing him as of late.
"Oh, are you finally ready to admit that?" Sure enough, Shadow Milk Cookie's voice comes from all sides, far too cheerful. The candy glass melts and warps before him, the blues darkening until Shadow Milk stands in his place, far more detailed than the artisan silhouette he replaced. His grin is mocking as he looks down at Pure Vanilla, who cannot help but feel uncomfortable at the sight of their appearances blurring together like that, even though he had been expecting something along those lines. "Too bad though â you can't admit something that's wrong!"
"Huh?" It catches Pure Vanilla by surprise. It had been difficult emotionally, but logically straightforward to admit they were two sides of the same coin. He couldn't imagine how that could be wrong, and acting upon an old habit from his student days, he finds himself frantically unravelling that conclusion in his head again to figure out the issue.
Shadow Milk doesn't give him the chance, tutting as he shakes his head in mock disappointment. "You must have a brain in there, can't you use it?" He laments theatrically, contorting himself into an odd shape against the edge of the window pane. Then, again barreling on before Pure Vanilla can reply, "Look, think of it like this. To say we're two sides of the same coin means that we have similarities, even if we are otherwise opposites. That is true to an extent, but it makes our differences sound way more clear cut than they actually are. It may be easier for you to believe, but we aren't really opposites. That would imply I am not whole, and I can assure you, Soul Jam aside, I am just as I always was!"
Ah, so it's a matter of wording. Pure Vanilla isn't sure why he is entertaining this - no, it's because he doesn't want to give Shadow Milk the satisfaction of turning away from the truth. Even now, Shadow Milk's eyes squint cheekily at him, daring him to try and end the conversation.
"Then... we are made of the same components in a different composition." Pure Vanilla tries, a little frustrated with his own hesitance, but it is difficult to tell how Shadow Milk wants him to answer when he isn't making it blatantly obvious.
"So close!" Shadow Milk sighs dramatically as he snaps his head to the side so sharply it makes Pure Vanilla wince, imagining the cracks that would cause on any other Cookie. "But you're relying on technicalities. It's much simpler than that."
It dawns on Pure Vanilla, then, exactly what Shadow Milk is aiming for, the realisation making his insides crawl. He doesn't have to say it, not really, but he isn't sure what Shadow Milk will do if he doesn't, and he unfortunately doesn't have the ability to wake himself up on command.
So he takes a deep breath, fidgeting with his staff as he says, even less than a whisper yet twice as loud. "We're... We're the same. Is that what you wanted me to say?"
"Ding-ding-ding!" Shadow Milk trills, suddenly reaching through the candy glass to grip the window frame and lurching forward across the threshold, leaving a mess of shattered glass behind his head like a halo. It startles Pure Vanilla, who instinctively shifts his foot back, only to be instantly locked in place as the reaching shadows soldify around his legs, its eyes winking up at him playfully. His grip on his staff tightens, willing it to shed its light, the beginnings of panic stirring within him at the restraint. The staff does, but the shadows seem to eat the light without a problem.
Pure Vanilla is so distracted by the shadows that he doesn't notice Shadow Milk's hands until they grab his face. His heart jumps in alarm, and his eyes dart up to find half of Shadow Milk leaning down out of the window, far too close. He is grinning at him, wide and self-satisfied, and his hands are cold and harsh. "See, I knew you had a working brain! Yes, the right answer is that we are one and the same."
He pinches and pulls at his cheeks, and Pure Vanilla tries to cringe away, tries to manuver his staff between them. It doesn't work, if only because hands emerge from the darkness to anchor his staff too.
"But that isn't true." Pure Vanilla mumbles when he isn't able to wiggle his way out and Shadow Milk still shows no signs of stopping, hoping the argument will make him lose interest in his face. "I admit that there are similarities between us, but we aren't really the same."
Shadow Milk pauses, his grip tightening until it borders on pain, and for a moment, Pure Vanilla thinks he may have miscalculated.
But then Shadow Milk snickers to himself, releasing his face entirely and pulling back, his hands resting lightly over Pure Vanilla's shoulders. The brush of weight keeps Pure Vanilla from relaxing, but it is a bit of added distance, at least.
"Aren't we? Well, you are the biggest liar, so I should have expected you would lie to yourself too." Shadow Milk hums, almost sounding delighted at this turn in conversation. It unnerves Pure Vanilla, because he had assumed his disagreement would annoy him.
Instead, Shadow Milk smirks, his many eyes glinting gleefully at him. "Listen carefully, Vani, because here's the truth." He says, his voice dipping into a wicked purr that seems to shudder through Pure Vanilla's whole body. "All the things you hate that I have done, you have the capability of doing too. After all, you've already used people for your own gain, haven't you?" Shadow Milk leans closer with a condescending lilt to his words, shifting his hands so he can wrap his arms loosely over his shoulders, and Pure Vanilla freezes under the touch. "Oh, I know you think it was necessary, but you still sent those naive, tiny Cookies off to carry out your errands for you, regardless of the dangers. That's only a few steps behind what I've done, you know, making people dance to my tune. The only difference between us is severity and time."
The words sink heavily to Pure Vanilla's stomach, not quite true but not quite not true, and he feels a little lightheaded, fingers twitching against his staff. Maybe it's because of that, or maybe it's because of his discomfort from the close proximity, but he finds himself distracted by the way Shadow Milk is talking. He carries his usual air of showmanship, but it is nowhere near as exaggerated as during his brief takeover of the Faerie Kingdom. With his insistence of specificity, his mention of technicalities, his structured method of explaining things, he almost sounds like aâ
"We are the same," Shadow Milk repeats, tilting his head to the side, the glow of his eyes burning holes through Pure Vanilla, "and one day, you'll end up just like me."
A scholar.
That makes sense â at some point, his virtue had been Knowledge, and nobody seeks it out as fervently as a scholar â but it still feels like a surprise. Pure Vanilla had always known that Shadow Milk was different, once, but only in the sense that the fact existed in the back of his mind.
"No rebuttal, hmm? Are you ready to accept that?" Shadow Milk asks smugly, slightly impatient with Pure Vanilla's lack of response, but mostly watching him expectantly, as if waiting for a bomb to go off.
Pure Vanilla has never thought about what Shadow Milk might have been like, before he became like this. There was no reason to even consider it. But now, he can't help but wonder, because while he cannot imagine this chaotic, brutal Beast, this great unknown evil, as anything else â Shadow Milk still carries echoes from a past life that he doesn't seem to notice enough to hide with his lies.
"...If we are the same," Pure Vanilla finally scrapes his thoughts together enough to reply, carefully, "then doesn't that make the opposite possible too? That, one day, you will become like me and return to the light?"
Shadow Milk blinks once, his face falling blank. He blinks again, all of his eyes in quick succession.
And then he throws his head back and laughs, the movement jostling Pure Vanilla in the process with his arms still firmly around his shoulders. It sounds unhinged, ricocheting across the room, but it is openly amused. It makes Pure Vanilla antsy, especially with how it rings in his ears like an explosion from their closeness.
He wonders if Shadow Milk's laugh was different, before everything. It must have been. He wonders what it sounded like, and immediately realises that he's being ridiculous. The realisation that a before exists seems to have opened the floodgates in his mind, and now thoughts of hypotheticals can't help flitting in.
"You say such silly, silly things." Shadow Milk bites out offhandedly as his laughter winds down, the lingering remnants still dancing on his tongue. Without warning, he pulls Pure Vanilla even closer, the darkness that had been keeping him in place swirling and shoving him forward. Pure Vanilla gasps, the sound catching in his throat, and one of his hands fly off his staff to reach for something to steady himself on. It finds an edge of shattered candy glass, flinching back and falling down to scrabble against its smooth, intact surface.
Shadow Milk is giggling at him and Pure Vanilla is mortified, horribly so. They are far, far too close, Shadow Milk's face taking up the near entirety of his vision and their upper bodies almost pressed together. It feels claustrophobic, which should be impossible in such a wide, open space.
Shadow Milk makes matters worse by pressing their foreheads together, the gesture weirdly tender and doing nothing to make Pure Vanilla any calmer. His bright blue eyes look directly through him, dissecting him piece by piece.
"Why don't you cut down the Silver Tree and find out?" Shadow Milk coos, his voice overlapping with the Light of Truth's in a deeply unsettling way. His presence is overwhelming.
Pure Vanilla's eyes flicker downwards to escape his piercing gaze, and finds their chests so close that their Soul Jams are overlapping. Overlapping, and not touching, because Shadow Milk's Soul Jam seems to fizzle out of existence where the other makes contact with it, as if it were an illusion. Behind it is an empty space, black as the abyss. With the way they are lined up now, it is obvious that Pure Vanilla's Soul Jam would fit perfectly into the crevice with a little turning. He knew that already, but it still feels strange to see it.
Pure Vanilla sighs, a long, thin, shuddering sound. "...You didn't truly believe that would work, did you?"
In the edge of his vision, Shadow Milk smiles tauntingly, all teeth, but he doesn't say a word.
And Pure Vanilla wakes up, off kilter, exhausted and oddly cold.

"Wednesday's Acceptance"
A Brand New Wednesday Addams Tale
"You enjoying digging up all the fake dead bodies I hid around the yard for you?"

*Many Years Ago:
In the Addams Family mansion: a five year old Wednesday Addams was sitting in a black night gown next to her father Gomez, who was reading a book to her. As Gomez held the book in front of Wednesday, he had a big smile on his face as he said, "And then the wolf ate Little Red Riding Hood and her grandmother, and he lived happily ever after. The End! So... did you like that bed time story my little storm cloud?" A smiling Wednesday then said, "Oh yes father. It was such a wonderfully violent story. But... I still see there are more pages after the last one you read. Why is that?" Gomez looked a little nervous as he said, "Well... maybe we'll talk about what eventually happened to the poor hungry wolf when you're older."
Suddenly Wednesday's mother: Morticia walked into the bedroom and said, "Oh Wednesday. For your birthday party next week, are there any friends from school you want to invite over?" Then an excited Wednesday said, "Oh yes. I want to invite everyone from class here. I can't wait to show them around our house that's so nice and gloomy." Gomez however looked surprised as he said, "You want to invite your WHOLE class here my little death trap? Wouldn't you rather just spend your whole party throwing knives at me and your Uncle Fester, or try to poison your brother?" Then an excited Wednesday said, "Oh, no. I want to show all my classmates my guillotine, and my pet spider and scorpion." Before Gomez could say anything else, Morticia stepped forward as she happily said, "If that's what you want for your party Wednesday, that's what we'll do. Now good night my deadly daughter. Have sweet homicidal filled dreams tonight."
Gomez then stood up as he and Morticia stepped out of Wednesday's bedroom. Once they closed the door to the bedroom, a concerned Gomez said, "Tish, are you sure inviting all of Wednesday's classmates here is a good idea? I'm concerned they might be becoming a bad influence on her. They all wear clothes filled with so much... color. You know many people in my family have an allergic reaction when exposed to too many bright colors. What if Wednesday has inherited that gene?" Morticia however kept a calm demeanor as she said, "Nonsense Gomez. We live in a diverse world, and we must teach our children to be tolerant of other people, no matter how disturbingly bright their clothing is."
Gomez however still looked worried as he said, "You know I was never keen on sending our children to public school. They were doing so well in their voodoo doll making skills with Grandmama back when we only educated them here at home. I mean what's the point in having children if we're just supposed to send them away from us five days a week!? Plus, if little Wednesday starts spending too much with those unusual technicolor looking children at her school, pretty soon she'll be joining the girl scouts, adopting cute little puppies, or even worse... going to pop star music concerts!" Morticia chuckled a bit, and then calmly said, "Oh Gomez, you're just over-reacting. Like our little Wednesday would ever go to some pop star music concert filled with bright lights and loud noises..."
*The Future:
An adult Wednesday Addams stood with an angry glare as she was amongst many spectators at a crowded music concert. Standing next to Wednesday were her teenage daughters: Harmony and Ana as they excitedly and loudly sang, "Oh, I leave quite an impression! Five feet to be exact! You're wonderin' why half his clothes went missing! My body's where they're at!" Then Wednesday turned her head, and began to walk away as she angerly said, "I'm leaving." Then Ana suddenly grabbed Wednesday as she said, "Come on mother. The Sabrina Carpenter concert just got started!" Then an excited Harmony screamed, "Ooo! Here comes the chorus!" Then together with the singer on stage, both Harmony and Ana loudly screamed/sang: "Heard you're back together, and if that's true: you'll just have to taste me when he's kissin' you!" Wednesday meanwhile kept a straight face, as she angerly said, "When you both told me I was being brought to a place where there would be lots of screaming and shrieking, this isn't what I had in mind."
Ana then giggled, and said, "Come on mother. Everyone loves Sabrina Carpenter! She is my free pass!" Then a confused looking Harmony said, "Wait Ana. I thought you only preferred guys... and ghosts." Then Ana casually said, "Yeah, but... look at her! Even the straightest straight girl would go gay for Sabrina!" Then Wednesday reluctantly said, "She did indeed have quite the twisted sense of humor when we met during..." Then Harmony suddenly grabbed Wednesday out of excitement as she said, "Hold on mother! You met Sabrina Carpenter!? WHERE!? WHEN!?" Then Wednesday suddenly looked a bit nervous as she said, "I... well..." Then with a silly tone to her voice, Ana said, "Ooo. Are you gonna tell us that was you who kissed her in that Taste music video, and not Jenna Ortega?!"
Ana and Harmony laughed hard for a moment... but then the two noticed Wednesday was looking much more uncomfortable now, and starting to blush. Then with a very excited smile: Harmony said, "Oh my God! Was that actually you in that video!? Now the dark twisted tones of that music video make so much sense, and it explains where you disappeared off to last summer!" Then Ana began to clap her hands as she said, "Ha, ha! This is epic! Does mom know about this!?" Then Wednesday began to look very uncomfortable as she said, "Any special high paying tasks that I reluctantly agree to take on to pay for both of your college education expenses are made completely transparent with your mom... and also arranged by her... unfortunately. Now if you excuse me... I need a break from this hormonal driven insanity."
Then as Wednesday walked out of the concert, Ana turned her head and said, "Hold on. Where's Stormageddon the Conqueror? He was chilling right near me." Then Harmony pointed to the stage as she excitedly said, "Look!" Then on the concert stage: Sabrina Carpenter stopped singing as she said, "Oh, hey. Where did this cat come from?" Then Ana's cat appeared walking across the stage, and stopped right near Sabrina Carpenter's feet as he innocently said, "Rowr." Then Sabrina Carpenter picked up Ana's cat as she said, "Aww. You're a cute little guy. Wanna come back to my place tonight and have some fun?" Then Ana's cat looked very excited as he happily said, "Rowr!" Meanwhile, in the crowd: an impressed Ana said, "Dang Stormageddon the Conqueror, you are the ultimate playah!"
Meanwhile, Wednesday was walking out of the concert and slowly looking more relaxed as she distanced herself from the loud noises. However, just as Wednesday began to look more comfortable, her eyes caught a poster hanging on a nearby wall. The poster featured a blonde adult man in a suit smiling, with large words underneath his face that said: Vote Dalton Davis for Governor: The Man Who Will Cast Out the Outcasts. Horror and anger went across Wednesday's face as she took in the image of the poster. Then Wednesday quickly pulled the poster off the wall, tore it into many pieces, and then stormed away.
*Many Years Ago:
Young six year old Wednesday Addams was leading a group of children her age around her bedroom as she said, "And over here is my collection of Marie Antoinette dolls." Then one little girl in the group asked, "Why do all your dolls have no heads?" Then a smiling Wednesday said, "Because they all got their heads cut off in the French Revolution." Then suddenly a large pig walked into the bedroom. Many of the children looked surprised, as one boy asked, "What's that pig doing here!?" Then a sweet sounding Wednesday said, "Oh. That's me and my brother's 'Piggy Bank'. That little guy there eats up all our money, so we can use it later." Then one little girl in the group asked, "How do you get your coins back after feeding them to him?" Then little Wednesday, in a matter of fact way, simply said, "When Gradmama makes bacon sandwiches. Discovering coins as you're biting into them is so much fun."
Then one young blonde boy looked annoyed as he said, "Come on. You said there was gonna be a piñata with goodies in it at this party. Lets see it." Then Wednesday smiled as she said, "Don't worry Dalton. That's the next thing I was going to show you. Follow me." Wednesday then led the group of children into a dark empty room with only a spider shaped piñata hanging from the ceiling. The little boy Dalton looked excited as he said, "Now that's what I'm talking about! Bring on the goodies!" Wednesday then picked up a bat, as the living hand: Thing appeared. Thing quickly crawled up Wednesday's back as it held a blind fold between two of his fingers. Wednesday then put the blind fold over her eyes as Thing tied the blind fold behind her. Once she was completely blind folded, a smiling Wednesday said, "Thank you Thing."
Wednesday then began to use her bat to hit the piñata hard. As Wednesday kept whacking at the spider shaped piñata, all of the young children began to look excited as they yelled, "Candy! Candy! Candy!" However as Wednesday broke open the piñata, suddenly a swarm of spiders burst out of it. All of the children screamed as they began to run out of the room. However only Dalton stopped for a moment, as he angrily looked back at Wednesday while yelling, "You're a dirty rotten freak Wednesday! You and all you stinking outcasts should just go back to the mud-hole you belong in!" Then Dalton and the other kids ran out of the room, while a young Wednesday (who had spiders crawling all over her body) just stood looking very confused.
Morticia then walked into the room looking curious as she said, "I heard screaming, so I thought the party was going well. However... I don't see any of your friends. Where did they go?" Wednesday stood looking very confused as she said, "When I surprised them with spiders, they all ran away. Why is that mother?" A sympathetic Morticia then embraced Wednesday, hugging her closely as she said, "Oh, Wednesday... some people just don't appreciate a beautiful gift when it's given to them." Then as Wednesday looked at Morticia's face, she said, "Dalton said... I was a dirty rotten freak that belongs in a mud-hole. Is that true mother?" As Morticia looked at Wednesday with loving eyes, she warmly said, "Oh Wednesday. You're not a dirty rotten freak that belongs in a mud-hole... You're a dirty rotten gothic princess that rules all mud-holes." Wednesday began to smile as she hugged Morticia while saying, "Thank you mother."
*The Future:
An adult Wednesday sat next to Enid and other Nevermore Academy teachers at a staff meeting. As a female Nevermore Academy administrator stood before the teachers, she said, "And that concludes all our major talking points for this meeting. Oh, we have a group of new teachers starting this week. We're providing them large lunches every day around noon, so be sure to pop on by to the training room and introduce yourselves." A concerned and confused Wednesday then raised one eyebrow as she said, "Would you care to explain why we are giving brand new teachers extravagant meals every day during their week of training?" The school administrator looked a bit confused herself as she said, "It's just... a nice thing to do Mrs. Addams. It helps motivate our new staff to be their best."
Wednesday however began to look angry, and spoke in a harsh tone as she said, "How does rewarding teachers before they've done any real work make sense? New staff members shouldn't be given five star meals for just existing. They've gone from unemployment to getting a paycheck. That's the only reward they should be receiving, and nothing more. New staff members deserve the least ideal parking spaces, the smallest offices in the building to work from, being tasked with the most difficult to teach students, and should receive no perks whatsoever, which includes free meals. Staff members in any establishment should earn any type of special treatment or lavish benefits. If you create an environment where people are treated like they're special just for existing in the world, you're enabling them to do whatever they see fit; including harming whoever they see fit! Then the next thing you know, they'll be getting away with murder and be allowed to run for governor!"
Everyone in the room then began to look at Wednesday with confused looks on their faces. Wednesday then began to surprisingly look embarrassed and humiliated, as she stood up and said, "Excuse me." Wednesday then began to quickly walk out of the room, as Enid had a concerned look on her face.
*Many Years Ago:
Young six year old Wednesday Addams was walking down a sidewalk near an ice cream shop while holding a leash that was attached to her pet scorpion. As Wednesday walked, she looked down at her pet scorpion and smiled as she said, "Come on Nero. Just around the corner is a nice colony of ants you can subjugate over." Then suddenly Dalton and several other boys on bikes started to ride near Wednesday. As the boys looked at Wednesday, Dalton stopped on his bike as he said, "What kind of girl walks a scorpion?" The other boys snickered as they got off their bikes. Quickly, two of the boys grabbed Wednesday by the shoulders and arms and pushed her against a wall. As Wednesday was forced to let go of her leash, she said, "Oh no. Don't let Nero wander into the street. She's just a baby."
Dalton laughed as he said, "You call that scorpion a 'she'? That's an 'it'. Scorpions are just freaky little monsters; just like you Addams!" Then as the scorpion walked onto the road, a scared Wednesday said, "No. She's more than my pet. She's like a daughter to me. Don't let a car hit her." As Dalton and one of his friends got on their bikes, Dalton smirked while saying, "Oh, we'll make sure a 'car' doesn't hit it." Then Dalton and his friend rode their bikes towards the scorpion. Wednesday struggled to get free from the two boys that were pinning her against a wall, as she yelled, "NERO!" Then Dalton and his friend rode their bikes over the scorpion, instantly killing it.
The other two boys let go of Wednesday, as a horrified Wednesday fell to the ground with tears in her eyes. Dalton and his friends then rode off on their bikes laughing. Looking desperate, Wednesday jumped up and ran over to a nearby male police officer walking around the corner. Wednesday immediately pulled on the police officer's sleeve and said, "Officer! I need to report a murder!" The police officer looked puzzled as he said, "What? Who committed a murder!?" As her heart was racing, little Wednesday said, "It was Dalton Davis!" The police officer had a major look of disbelief go across his face as he said, "The governor's son? I doubt that. Who do you think he murdered?" Then Wednesday pointed to the remains of her pet scorpion on the road as she said, "My pet scorpion Nero!"
The police officer then chuckled as he said, "Oh, boys will be boys. Listen sweetie, you only cry 'murder' if a real person is killed. Also, don't be accusing the governor's son of wrong doing. You don't wanna get yourself in any trouble now." The police officer then smiled as he walked away. Little Wednesday meanwhile looked completely devastated as she walked towards the remains of her pet scorpion on the road. Wednesday then fell to her knees as tears were coming from her eyes. Wednesday closed her eyes, and then titled her head back as she shrieked in agony.
*The Future:
A crescent shaped moon shined in the early night sky, as an adult Wednesday walked into the back yard of her home looking frustrated. She then stepped into a partially dug up grave with a shovel. As Wednesday began to dig up the dirt from the grave using the shovel, she also began to slowly take deep breaths in and out. As time passed, the longer Wednesday digged, the calmer she started to become. As Wednesday's digging continued, Enid silently walked into the yard and moved towards Wednesday. As Wednesday continued to take deep breaths in and out while digging up the grave, Enid calmly sat on the grass near Wednesday and began to look at her phone for a moment. Then Enid slowly turned her head to look at Wednesday, while Wednesday slowly turned her head to look at Enid. With a warm sound to her voice, Enid said, "You enjoying digging up all the fake dead bodies I hid around the yard for you?" In the private setting of their yard, Wednesday showed her gratitude to her wife by presenting Enid a genuine small smile on her face as she said, "While the exhilaration of unearthing decaying flesh would have been more preferable... your birthday gift to me this year is indeed well appreciated."
As Wednesday went back to digging her hole, Enid put her phone away as she said, "You wanna talk about what's bothering you?" Wednesday then tilted her head down as she bitterly said, "Dalton Davis." Enid looked confused as she said, "The guy running for governor? What about him?" Then Wednesday began to dig deep into the dirt around her as she said, "The problem with him... is that he is the one that killed Nero when I was six years old." Enid's eyes widened with shock as she said, "Oh my God! Your pet scorpion? I... I had no idea you had history with him that far back." Then as Wednesday began to dig the dirt around her more quickly, she clenched the shovel tight as she said, "Indeed I did. Not only has he been bullying and spouting out hate speech towards outcasts my whole life, but he's been allowed to get away with murdering innocent pets and countless other crimes against the outcast community just because his father was a long time governor. Now that hateful bigot is about to become a governor himself, and get away with who knows how many more untold crimes. I just..."
Then suddenly Wednesday froze, as her hands began to shake, and a few tears began to come from her eyes. As the tears began to form in Wednesday's eyes, she kept her head turned away from Enid's gaze so that Enid couldn't see her tears. Enid then jumped into the hole Wednesday was digging in, stood behind Wednesday (without looking at her face), and then immediately hugged Wednesday from behind. Enid closed her eyes and hugged Wednesday lovingly, while Wednesday simply remained still as she closed her eyes as well. Then after a long moment, Wednesday wiped away her tears. Soon, Enid stepped away as Wednesday began to shovel at the ground again. However Wednesday quickly saw she had reached the coffin beneath her. As Wednesday opened up the coffin, a smirking Enid said, "So... wanna relieve some stress and make out in the coffin for awhile?" Wednesday then turned to look right into Enid's eyes as she said, "That... would be splendid."
*Many Years Ago:
Fifteen year old Wednesday Addams was being led into Nancy Reagan High School by her brother Pugsley. As Pugsley walked close to his sister, he made a little smile as he said, "It's so nice that you got transferred here Wednesday. We finally get to be at the same school again." Wednesday however kept a straight deadpan face as she said, "Considering I've tortured students at all of the other public schools in the county that you didn't already demolish with your explosives, it was inevitable." Then suddenly a teenage Dalton and his friends walked over to the two, as a smiling Dalton said, "Yo 'Pigsley'. Who's this? Is it your new girlfriend, or the owner of the farm you live on?" As Dalton's friends laughed, Pugsley looked annoyed but also scared as he said, "This is my sister." Suddenly Dalton's eyes widened with a smile on his face as he said, "Whoa! Yo guys! It's the freak girl! Remember her? Little Wednesday Addams is all grown up! Hey, you guys remember how this freak girl invited us to her crack house when we were kids, and how she used to have a pet scorpion? Man, that was so much fun when we ran over that thing back in the day."
Then Dalton and his friends began to laugh as they walked away. Wednesday suddenly looked very angry as she began to pull a concealed sword out of her umbrella while saying, "Excuse me Pugsley. This will only take two minutes." Then Pugsley looking scared, stopped Wednesday by grabbing her arm as he said, "Wait Wednesday. Dalton's dad is the governor. That means that anyone that messes with him or hurts him at school will get into super serious trouble, like going straight to jail, and I don't wanna see you go to jail Wednesday. No one else tortures me in the electric chair as good as you do." Wednesday looked very frustrated for a moment, but then relaxed slightly as she said, "Very well. Dalton shall be excused from my wrath... for now."
*The Future:
An adult Wednesday sat in her office at Nevermore Academy as she was looking at her laptop. On the laptop screen, a video was playing of adult Dalton who was standing in front of a crowd as he proclaimed, "Currently, we are having tax dollars being used to fund outcast healthcare. Tell me, do you want your tax dollars to be used to help sharpen a werewolf's claws or a vampire's teeth so they can attack your children? If elected, I will dismantle our state's Outcast Healthcare Act, and put control of the people's government back in the hands of true people!" Wednesday then angerly shut her laptop closed as rage filled her eyes.
Suddenly Enid stepped into the office as she said, "Guess what Wens-babe! I got a surprise for you. I just got the school administrators to approve for us to take a two week vacation starting right now!" Wednesday looked very surprised as she said, "You planned a vacation without telling me?" Enid then walked around the room, stood behind Wednesday, and then began to rub Wednesday's shoulders as she said, "I know we both agreed it's important for us to make plans like this together... but I really felt like you needed a break. I mean... you have been getting more stressed than usual." Wednesday then kept a serious deadpan look to her face as she said, "Enid, I have no need to go on an impromptu vacation right now. I am perfectly capable of dealing with the current level of stressful factors in my life."
Then suddenly both Wednesday and Enid heard the sound of an explosion. After a moment, Ana suddenly ran in the office covered in smoke. Ana coughed for a few seconds, and then said, "Sorry. That was my bad. Although you can't blame me for playing with active plutonium if the Mafia Mice from Minnesota are just gonna make it so easy to steal from." Then suddenly the loud sound of laser fire could be heard in the hallway. Ana glanced into the hallway, and then loudly yelled, "Aah! The Puppy Posse from Poland is trying to steal the secret formula we made! Quick Stormageddon the Conqueror, activate the candy canes!" Then Ana ran into the hallway, as the sound of loud puppies could be heard mixed with laser fire. Wednesday then immediately turned her head to look right at Enid as she said, "Now I'm ready to take a vacation."
*The Future:
Fifteen year old Wednesday Addams was walking through the main hallway of Nancy Reagan High School. Wednesday soon reached her locker, and upon opening it: she immediately saw Pugsley inside her locker tied up, with an apple stuffed in his mouth. Pugsley quickly fell to the ground. Wednesday then got down on her knees, pulled the apple out of Pugsley's mouth, and immediately said, "I want names." A scared looking Pugsley was on the verge of tears as he said, "I don't know who they were. Honest. It happened so fast." Wednesday then began to untie Pugsley as she said, "Pugsley, emotion equals weakness. Pull yourself together... now!"
However Wednesday's concentration stopped as she immediately had a vision from minutes ago featuring Dalton and his friends attacking Pugsley, and pushing him into the locker. As soon as Wednesday's vision finished, she saw a worried Pugsley looking up at her as he asked, "Are you okay?" Wednesday was silent for a moment... but then in a matter of fact tone said, "Leave this to me." A worried Pugsley then tried to sit up as he said, "Wednesday, what are you going to do?" Wednesday then looked straight at Pugsley, and with a calm deadpan face she said, "What I do best." Then Wednesday walked over to a nearby payphone that was still working in the school. Pugsley soon was able to stand up, and walked over near Wednesday so he could listen in on what she was about to say.
Wednesday immediately dialed a number, and soon heard a voice on the other line say, "Joe's Pet Store." With a deadly direct tone to her voice, Wednesday immediately said, "If you don't wish for your wife to find the pictures I took of you and your secret mistress at the Motel 6 last week, you will make a special delivery to the back door of the Nancy Reagan High School swimming pool within the next half hour." As Pugsley listened in on the conversation, he said, "Wednesday, are you sure you wanna do this?" Wednesday then glanced back at Pugsley, and with a practical tone to her voice she said, "Of course. The school swimming pool has the best acoustics in the building to enjoy the echoes of screaming." Then Wednesday focused back on her phone call as she said, "Now then Joe, here is what I want to see inside two bags that I'll be holding in less than 30 minutes..."
*The Future:
An adult Wednesday angerly walked into the lobby of an old hotel made mostly out of wood, where a young female adult was standing behind the counter. The young adult woman was looking at her phone, barely making eye contact with Wednesday as she said, "Are you checking out?" Then an angry looking Wednesday said, "Yes, with a refund; for this entire building is infested with insects all over the floors and walls." The young adult woman then took a good look at Wednesday as she said, "Why would you care? I thought outcasts like you enjoyed that kind of thing?" While Wednesday maintained a calm composure to most of her body, her face showed great frustration as she said, "That may be the case for me, but my wife has a great aversion towards them. Considering we have only been here for less than an hour, I demand a refund immediately."
The young adult woman turned her head away slightly, and went back to looking at her phone while saying, "You'll have to call the manager when she comes in tomorrow for that." Then Wednesday banged her hands on the counter as she said, "You introduced yourself as the manager when we first arrived. Now provide our refund now." The young adult woman still kept her eyes on her phone as she said, "Well, you gotta call Booking dot com for the refund." Then Wednesday leaned her face forward as she bitterly said, "You are the hotel manager. You are the only one that can provide a refund; not the booking agency!" The young adult woman still looked at her phone as she said, "Sorry. You have to call Booking dot com."
Wednesday began to breathe deeply as she held out her phone, and began to scroll through many photos showing insects all over the walls and floor of a hotel room. As Wednesday held the phone right near the young woman's face, she said, "Can you honestly say that these photos I took of the insect infested hotel room that me and my wife were assigned to are acceptable!?" The young adult woman was still looking at her phone as she simply said, "There are no insects in this hotel." Then Wednesday loudly pointed to her phone screen as she said, "They are literally in the pictures I took!" The young adult only barely looked at Wednesday for a second as she said, "There are no insects in this hotel."
Then Wednesday banged the counter with a fist, and then loudly said, "Give us the refund we deserve, or face the life threatening consequences of crossing one of the Addams lineage!" The young adult woman finally looked directly at Wednesday as she said, "Don't threaten me you freaking outcast! It's your kind that are taking all the good jobs from us hard working normal people! Once all the smart guys that wanna get rid of you outcasts win in the election, me and all us normal people will finally get to have good jobs and be rich! Also, I don't care if you attack me! If you do, you'll just be thrown in outcast jail where you belong!" Wednesday's breathing began to increase, as she angerly said, "If you believe putting people in power who unite their followers through hatred and fear of others shall make your life better: you are the one that is casting yourself out from reality! As for having you face life threatening consequences... I won't have to lift a finger..."
Suddenly the building began to shake. The young adult woman started to look scared as she said, "What's going on!?" Wednesday however stood very calmly as she said, "Perhaps if you weren't so busy looking at your phone, you would've already noticed." The young adult woman turned her head and saw millions of termites eating through the wooden walls of the hotel. The young adult woman screamed as she said, "Ahh! This place is infested!" Then Wednesday made a small smirk as she sarcastically said, "Well how can that be? You stated multiple times there are no insects in this hotel; which certainly means that a sanitary establishment of such high quality would've certainly used the proper types of insect repellents that ward off common bugs, carpenter ants, and mutant super powered termites that can eat through wood at one hundred thousand times the speed of their more common brethren."
As the room shook, the young adult woman dropped her phone as Wednesday began to casually walk out of the hotel. The young adult woman then turned her head as she said, "Where did my phone drop? Where is it? Where did it go!?" Then suddenly the wooden roof broke apart and began to fall down on the young adult woman. Then seconds after Wednesday left the building, the entire hotel came crashing down on the young adult woman as she screamed in pain.
Wednesday soon approached a black car that Enid was sitting in. Wednesday soon sat in the passenger's seat as she calmly said, "We will have to find sleeping accommodations elsewhere." Enid smirked as she said, "Well, I guess that lady had it coming considering the thousands of 1 star reviews that place had." Wednesday then turned to look directly at Enid as she said, "Wait. If you knew this hotel had such terrible ratings, then why did we come here?" Enid made a warm smile as she said, "Because you haven't been in the best mood lately, and I know torturing someone always livens your spirits." Wednesday then looked directly into Enid's eyes, and with gratitude she said, "Thank you Enid... although... sadly, torture hasn't always proven effective at improving my mood..."
*Many Years Ago:
Fifteen year old Wednesday Addams sat in a court room on the witness stand. She was sitting near an older male judge, while facing an older man who was standing near Dalton (who was sitting in a complete body cast). On the other side of the room watching her from afar was Gomez, Morticia, Pugsley, and Lurch. The older man then stepped up as he said, "Your honor, as this state's governor: I must make it clear why I am taking time out of my busy schedule to take a short term return to my old career as an attorney. It is to ensure that the individual who nearly murdered my son face justice. But rather than explain and spell out all of the details as to what happened... I believe the school's security camera footage will do that on it's own quite nicely."
On a nearby television screen: security camera footage began to play of Wednesday walking into the high school swimming pool room. As many male teenagers were practicing their water polo skills in the pool, Wednesday approached the waters' edge. One of Dalton's friends noticed Wednesday nearby and said, "Yo Dalton, look. Pigsley's sister." Dalton then turned to look at Wednesday as he said, "Hey freak. This is a closed practice." Then Wednesday with a straight deadpan face said, "The only person who gets to torture my brother is me."
Then Wednesday suddenly revealed what she had just been hiding behind her back... two bags full of very hungry looking piranhas. Fear suddenly entered the eyes of Dalton and his friends as they immediately began swimming to the edge of the pool. Wednesday then immediately dropped the bags into the pool, and the school of piranha instantly swam at top speed towards the teenage boys. The sound of panic, whistles blowing, and teenagers swimming at top speed filled the large room, while a small smirk began to appear on Wednesday's face. Then within seconds: the sound of Dalton screaming could be heard as blood began to fill the pool, while Wednesday's face quickly began to show a large smile filled with incredible joy.
Back in the court room: the video footage stopped playing. Dalton's father then turned to look at Wednesday as he said, "So Miss Addams... what do you have to say to the inhumane actions you did against my son!?" The older judge then turned to look at Wednesday as he said, "Miss Addams, I don't usually do this, but I will remind you that you have the right to not have to answer such vague and indirect questions that could further incriminate yourself." Then Wednesday calmly said, "No. I wish to answer." Then Wednesday looked directly at Dalton's father with angry glaring eyes as she said, "I did what I had to governor, because you and your son's legacy of hate filled bigotry has lasted far too long. Someone had to end the lineage at some point." Meanwhile in a corner of the room: Gomez and Morticia held hands as Morticia said, "Oh my. Wednesday is likely going to jail for attempted murder." Gomez began to shed a few tears as he said, "I know Tish... and I've never been so proud of her."
*The Future:
An adult Wednesday sat in the passenger's seat of Enid's car looking out the window silently, while Enid was driving. As she drove, Enid took a few quick silent glances at Wednesday. Eventually Enid opened her mouth and said, "You doing okay there?" Wednesday glanced at Enid as she said, "Indeed, I am. There are simply many matters dwelling in my mind that I am finding difficulty losing focus on." Enid made a little sigh, and then said, "Yeah, I hear ya. A lot has changed in our family recently. We're no longer running a company we invested years into, Harmony is already attending college with Megan, and Ana is now dating a ghost... and that fact alone wakes me up at times with so many questions on how that is supposed to even work." Then Wednesday calmly said, "On the contrary, I am quite pleased with Ana's choice of mate. She's found someone that will have the ability to haunt her through spectral manifestations and affect her through dark supernatural means for the rest of her life. It's actually the most romantic thing I've ever heard of." Enid made a little smile as she said, "Okay then. So... what is on your mind?"
As Wednesday began to look out the car window again, she simply said, "Well... as much as I have great confidence in how well our children will evolve for the better in time... I have little confidence in the rest of the world evolving for the better as that happens. Ever since Dalton led his moronic followers in killing Nero when I was a child, I am constantly reminded that I live in a world that rejects myself and my family, and wishes for none of us to exist in it. It's not that I mind that on a basic level... in fact, in many ways I enjoy it. However, it's the fact that cruelty towards innocents and unjust hatred never stops continuing to grow in the world at large that bothers me. Despite all we've done to improve the quality of life for those in our community, despite how much time I spend teaching by example to others how to be strong, despite the fact that we've literally saved the Earth multiple times now... the world at large still treats me with the same level of disrespect I received on that fateful day of my childhood when the world didn't care about the loss of my pet... or the loss of my innocence... and while I can cope with continuing to experience that myself... at times I cannot cope with the fact that my children and the innocent at large must reside in this decaying reality we are forced to endure." Wednesday then sat completely silent as Enid (who was also silent) had a uncertain look on her face.
However, after a long moment passed, Enid finally spoke up as she said, "Wednesday, the world does indeed have a problem with hatred spreading. The fact that more and more leaders, including more leaders in government now, are uniting people based on unjust hatred, lies, and fear towards others is unforgivable. I mean, I get that everyone has different dreams and goals in life, and sometimes those come in conflict with the dreams and goals of others. However using lies and hate in an attempt to build the foundation of a seemingly better world is only causing the foundation of the future to be built from rot. But with all that being said... the power of love and acceptance is also spreading as well. As much as it feels like the haters are winning at times, history has always shown that people who unite others towards the goals of peace and making a better life for all: always have the much more longer lasting impact. We just have to believe that with every act of love we show to people, ever act of compassion, and every time we show strength in how we defend others and fight for justice: we are making the world a better place." Wednesday looked at Enid for a moment... and then looked back out the car window as she said, "A noble sentiment... however, my own personal history has shown that those filled with deep unjust hatred always seem to prevail..."
*Many Years Ago:
Fifteen year old Wednesday Addams sat in a small conference room facing Dalton's father, while Dalton (who was wearing a full body cast that covered everything but his head) was sitting in a wheelchair nearby. Dalton's father was chuckling as he said, "So let me get this straight Miss Addams. Not only have you, a teenage girl, chosen to represent yourself in court... but now you think you can make a deal with me? I'll have you know young lady, back when I was a prosecutor: I made deals with no one!" Then Wednesday kept a calm deadpan face as she said, "There's a first time for everything." Then Wednesday snapped her fingers twice. Suddenly the living hand: Thing quickly came into the room, and tossed a folder into Wednesday's hands. Dalton's father looked surprised at the sight of Thing, while a very calm Wednesday said, "Thank you Thing."
Then Wednesday opened up the folder, and showed several photos of Dalton kicking and punching students at school, along with pictures of Dalton pushing Pugsley into a locker. The eyes of Dalton's father widened, as a deadpan Wednesday said, "You're not the only one who has access the school's security camera footage. I have on tape more than fifty examples of Dalton harassing students at school without facing any consequences throughout the last year. I also had my 'handy assistant' here get copies of every 'generous check' you sent to the school over the last six months; the date of each check timed right around each occasion Dalton was caught on camera harming other students. Now then, you may the keys to my future Mister Davis. However if all this information I have here was to be leaked to the media, I would find myself with the keys to ending your political career permanently. So the only question is... do you value the rule of law, or your desire to maintain power more?"
Dalton's father sat angerly for a long moment... and then he finally said, "I can have all the felonies dropped, but you'll have to at least go to court mandated therapy. I can't just let you go completely free after everything the judge saw. However the one thing I won't negotiate on is: you never attend another school within sixty miles of this town again. In fact, unless you're coming to and from your parents' home, it's probably best if you never show your face anywhere in this town ever again." Wednesday kept a simple composure as she said, "Believe me when I say, I don't wish to see anyone in this town if possible for the rest of my days either. Your terms are acceptable.
Suddenly the door to the room opened, and Gomez and Morticia stuck their faces into the room, while Gomez asked, "How is everything going my little death trap?" Wednesday then stood up as she said, "We have reached an appropriate settlement. However I will need to be transferred to a new school far away from this dreadful town." Morticia and Gomez glanced at one another, as a smiling Morticia said, "I think we have some ideas." Then Pugsley suddenly walked into the room carrying a fish bowl full of piranhas as he said, "Are you going to jail Wednesday!?" Upon seeing the bowl of piranhas, Dalton's father stepped back fearfully as he said, "What are you doing with those!?" Then Pugsley, in a matter of fact tone, simply said, "These are my new emotional support animals. My sister gave them to me."
Meanwhile Wednesday got her belongings together as she simply said, "Come on. Lets go back to the court room." However as everyone else began to leave, an angry Dalton looked at Wednesday as he said, "You may have gotten out of jail Wednesday, but I still got what I wanted. I got another freaking outcast out of this town. Just make sure you don't trip on your slimy self while heading on the road out of town... because if you do, maybe someone will be decent enough to run over YOU." Wednesday's eyes widened as she looked at Dalton with great hatred in her eyes... and then after a long moment of silence, Wednesday slowly left the room.
*The Future:
An adult Wednesday was sitting in the passenger seat of Enid's car as Enid was driving. However as Wednesday looked out the window, she began to look a bit confused as she said, "Hold on. End, where are we?" Enid smirked as she said, "You should start learning how to use Google Maps Wens-babe. Although I'm guessing you're starting to realize that we've just entered a pretty familiar area... Westfield, New Jersey!" Wednesday's eyes widened with surprise as she said, "You've taken me to my childhood hometown!? I told you I had no interest in visiting my parents during our vacation." As Enid kept driving, she smirked as she said, "We're not going to your parents' place. We're going to check out downtown Westfield. We never went down there during all the times we've visited your parents before." Wednesday began to looked annoyed as she said, "I... what... when did... errrr."
Enid looked at Wednesday with concern as she said, "What's wrong Wens?" Wednesday sighed, and then said, "It's just... I haven't been to downtown Westfield since... the day Nero died. While I did go to a community center on the outskirts of town every Halloween for years, and would often spend many days around the cemetery at the edge of town... I've completely avoided going downtown since I was six. Even when I would go to and from my parents' house, I always made sure I traveled on a route that avoided going through town. There are simply too many painful memories there... and too many hateful and bigoted people that would prefer I never return." As Enid continued to drive, she simply said, "Well, I think it would be nice if you confronted your past Wednesday. Okay now, lets see. We're going past your parents' place on Cemetery Lane, and now we're turning onto Elm Street and heading towards downtown Westfield."
As Enid continued driving, Wednesday looked out the car window and saw the familiar sights of a town she had almost forgotten. However Enid started to slow the car down as a heavy amount of traffic was ahead of her at an intersection. Enid then parked the car on the side of the road, as Wednesday said, "Do you know why such heavy traffic is ahead of us?" Enid made a little smile as she said, "Hmm. Lets go see what's going on." Enid then led Wednesday to a nearby blocked off street where a large crowd of people were gathered. Suddenly Wednesday's eyes widened as she stood surprised at the sight of a large sign ahead of her that said: Addams Fest.
Suddenly, both Wednesday and Enid saw standing in the midst of the crowd was Gomez, Morticia, Harmony, and Ana. Ana then waved as she said, "There they are! Hey mother! Hey mom! Over here!" As Wednesday and Enid approached the four, a happy Gomez said, "There's my little storm cloud and her horrific wife! I'm so glad you two got my letter about this event." Wednesday however looked confused as she said, "What letter? What's going on here?" Enid smirked as she said, "I may have known about a little event happening that I didn't share with you..."
Suddenly a tall slender man in a suit approached Wednesday as he said, "Mrs. Addams, what an honor it is to meet you. I'm Mayor Charles, and might I say: thank you so much for being here. You are certainly our most honored guest on this historic day." Wednesday continued to look confused as she said, "Why would that be?" Morticia stepped towards Wednesday as she said, "Well, didn't you know Wednesday? Thanks to the best selling books based on your life, and the television program it inspired: Westfield has become quite the tourist destination now, bringing much commerce to the community. Combined with the fact that your father has donated and invested in so many small businesses in town over the years: popular opinion demanded that the town create a special day designed to celebrate our family."
Mayor Charles smiled as he said, "Indeed. The cemetery you used to spend many days at, and even the school swimming pool that you unleashed piranhas into are historical landmarks now. We're also using this event to spotlight the history of all notable outcasts that have lived in this area at one time or another, most notably the many witches that have lived in Westfield over the centuries, thanks to our new Outcast Museum that has just recently finished construction."
As Wednesday continued to look confused she said, "I don't understand what's happening here. This is the very town that wanted nothing to do with me." Then Enid held Wednesday's hand, and smiled as she said, "Well, it would seem that your hometown has actually changed for the better Wednesday, and it looks like your actions actually helped make that happen." Then Harmony put a hand on Wednesday's shoulder as she said, "You never needed to torture anyone mother to take away unjust hate and bigotry from the world. You just had to be yourself."
Then Ana grabbed Wednesday by the arm, and said, "Come on mother. You need to check out the town lake. They have a model there of Grandpa and Grandma's house, and they also have this cool rose garden right near it. They even made sure that every rose in the garden has had its' petals cut off. The town decided to call it the Nero Memorial Flower Garden." Wednesday's eyes suddenly widened as it looked like just a small amount of emotion and tears were beginning to form on her face. Suddenly Enid pulled Wednesday away as she said, "Come on Wens-babe. We have a festival to check out!" Then Wednesday and her family walked off into the festival dedicated to them...
THE END
...
Epilogue:
An adult Dalton stood before a large crowd of people as he said, "As your newly elected governor, I promise you that this fine state will finally be made a wonderful safe place for all true people again. Thank you!" A smiling Dalton then walked away from the crowd and into a building. Dalton walked down a hallway by himself, as he approached his new office. Dalton then opened the door to his office... and suddenly stopped in his tracks, standing wide eyed as he saw Wednesday Addams sitting at his desk. Fury and anger entered Dalton's face as he said, "Wednesday Addams! What the hell are you doing in my office!?" Wednesday then raised one eyebrow as she said, "Is that any way to speak to your 2pm appointment?" Dalton looked confused as he said, "You're the person my secretary set me up with that claimed to have important outcast related issues to speak about?"
Wednesday then stood up as she said, "Indeed. I also wish to speak to you about the expectations of your beginning term in office." Dalton then stepped towards Wednesday as he said, "Listen to me you psychopath! The era of outcast loving propaganda is over. The grown ups have finally taken control of the government, and your days are numbered! Face it Wednesday. You lost, and no pool of piranhas are gonna stop me this time." Wednesday then stepped towards Dalton, and glared directly at his face while saying, "On the contrary, I know exactly how your term in office is going to affect me; because I spent my entire childhood experiencing it. You and your supporters will harass me, spread lies about me, treat me like I don't deserve to exist, and try to fill my soul with endless darkness. However... my soul has been filled with darkness nearly my entire life. I've mastered living in a dark cruel world. You however Dalton, have no idea of what one such as yourself is about to experience."
An angry Dalton then made a fist as he said, "I know what this office gives me. Power over you demonic outcasts." Wednesday then began to very slowly circle an angry Dalton like a predatory animal, and with a determined face: Wednesday said, "You think gaining public office will gain you real power and control? Having control over one single branch of the government does not give you full control of people's minds. You will spend the next four years in complete misery; due to the fact that nothing you do can change the beliefs of those who oppose you, no matter how much hate and lies you spread. In addition, your endless tirade of hatred will never leave you feeling fulfilled enough, and your endless stream of misinformation will forever put you at odds with countless people questioning how your claims don't match reality, which you unfortunately still have to live in. You see Dalton... I don't have to torture you anymore. You got into politics. You're just torturing yourself now." Then Wednesday turned her back on Dalton and left the room.
Dalton stood where he was angry for a moment... until his female secretary, a reporter, and a camera man walked into the room. The secretary smiled as she said, "Your first TV interview as governor is ready sir." Dalton smiled as he said, "Thank you. Finally, a conversation that will be pleasant." However before anyone could sit down, the reporter glanced at a fish tank sitting in the corner of the room as she said, "Ooo. What a fascinating fish tank you got here. What's in there?" Dalton looked confused as he said, "Hold on. That fish tank wasn't in this office this morning." The secretary smiled as she said, "Oh. Those were delivered an hour ago as a gift to the governor. They're a rare breed of piranha that are now an endangered species." Dalton suddenly looked scared as he said, "Wait a minute. I..." The reporter however interrupted Dalton with a smile as they said, "Good to see you care about endangered species governor. Most people aren't as kind and thoughtful as you." Dalton then began to looked very annoyed, but tried to keep a smile on as he said, "Well... I just saw those creatures... and begrudgingly had to accept they were here to stay..."
**************************
*THE NEXT NEW CHAPTER IS COMING IN TWO WEEKS! STAYED TUNED...
**************************
Trivia:
-Addams Fest is a real celebration held in Westfield, New Jersey every October. The town in actuality is the hometown where Addams Family creator: Charles Addams grew up. While "Cemetery Lane" is a fictional street name that does not exist in Westfield; the other street mentioned in this chapter: "Elm Street" is actually the real life street where Charles Addams' childhood home, elementary school, and high school were located. A road that intersects with that street is where much of the outdoor Addams Fest activities do occur. While the daytime festival is more of a generic Halloween festival with activities mostly aimed at children, the town does indeed have many Addams Family related decorations and art around town every October.
-The "photographs" near the end of the chapter feature AI created images of the Wenclair Family mixed with REAL photos from Addams Fest 2024. The characters are AI generated, but the backgrounds and art work are 100 percent real.
-Some of Gomez' dialogue early in this chapter is similar to some of his dialogue from the first episode of the original 1964 Addams Family TV series: "The Addams Family Goes to School".
-The Sabrina Carpenter music video that's mentioned in this story is a real music video that actually did feature actress Jenna Ortega in it.
-The family pig featured briefly in one of the flashbacks of this story was originally featured in two episodes of the original Addams Family TV show: "Fester's Punctured Romance", and "Morticia Joins the Ladies League".
-Several moments from the flashbacks in this chapter are lifted directly from Wednesday Episode 1: "Wednesday's Child is Full of Woe", and from Chapter 25 of this series: "Aftermath".
-The plot point of Wednesday getting her piranhas from a pet store owner that she blackmailed (and the reason why she chose to attack Dalton in the swimming pool) was lifted from the Wednesday Season 1 novelization.
-Wednesday, Enid, and Harmony all reference in this chapter Ana's new ghostly boyfriend: Gerard. The three women were first made aware of Ana's relationship with Gerard at the end of the previous story in this series - Chapter 70: "A Girl and a Ghost".
-The idea of Pugsley getting at least one of the piranhas Wednesday used on Dalton to keep as a pet was lifted from the "I Am Wednesday" children's book.
-And finally... while working on this story: famous YouTube sensation: "Fake Ortega" made a reaction video to the Wenclair Family of this series, that can be seen here.

A/N: I got a job- that I didnât plan on started until it just happened so my schedule has been taken over by that. Sorry for starting so late everyone!!
Had your body always been this sweaty? The bottoms of your palms were covered in slick of the sweat coming from your skin, the nerves you felt were unimaginable until now. No matter how many times you wipedïżŒ them on your clothing behind your dates eyes, it kept coming back. Butterflies swirled around in your stomach making it harder to keep a level head right now.
The sound of birds chirping, people in the crowds chatting and the smell of delicious foods of all sorts filled your senses. Yet the smell was sweet of the piers food, and it was a lovely sunshine day. Nothing could stop you from worrying about every single thing about yourself.
Luke was think the exact same, if not worse. You both always couldnât stop talking and laughing, never once shied away ïżŒfrom the others touch of attention. Until today, as you walk side by side as if youâd never met before.
This was uncharted territory for the both of you. Friends are all you ever were, even if feelings were mutual for years, only recently the other became aware of them. Luke was nervous of messing up something, could he push you away easily now? What if this date goes horribly and somehow â heâs never see you again?
âHowâs your candy apple?â Luke glanced over beside him, to find you in the middle of taking a small bite from the fruit you cleaned off the hard candy. He saw your eyes widen as if caught doing something wrong, this also made him embarrassed.
You cleaned your throat and whip your lips of the mess you had made. âWonderful, thanks,â you chirp. Silence creeped up once again as quickly as it ended, the pair of you looking anywhere but each other.
Soon, after finishing your apple and throw whatâs left in the bin you find yourself becoming comfortable by his side. He was perfect. His brown hair that twisted into curls to match his fathers, his pale skin made it easy to spot his flushed cheeks, and most of all the smile that rested on the side of his lips. Why must it be so hard too connect with him?
âI had dreamed of this moment forever,â his voice softened while his eyes trailed along the waves below. âused to think about how much youâd love to go out with me, never ended conversations, and endless laughter.â his tone laced with disappointment that made you second guess yourself.
âSorry about this, I know Iâm not what you expected.â your body covered itself in shame. You had ruined his night, this was the worst date ever and you blew it with your dream guy.
He rushed to deny everything, every doubt you had. âNo â No, nothing like that. I am just afraid to mess anything up and I wanted to apologize for this. Youâre everything I want, I promise.â his hand graced yours with a soft, golden touch that sent shivering through your skin.
âWe should be better at this?â you laugh softly, your eyes finally meeting his in comfort, âWeâve done this before. Itâs nothing new, just that I fancy you.â
âI fancy you too â as if that wasnât clear.â he stuttered out.
The sun was still shining down on you, so there happened to be a few hours still left in the day. You both decided to make the best out of it, you could be awkward dorks together.

( synopsis. ) You are a Maiar of Ulmo, Your his lover, and you've loved him for a long time, even after the troubles he had with his older brother. For a long while, after his exile, he couldn't even bear to face you. á
á
You are his lover, the river that helps carry away his pain, and the one he fears facing most after what he's doneâfollowing his half-brotherâs decision. á
á
á
He's terrified of the disappointment in your eyes. á
á
á
Yet, you reassure him once more with the warmth of your presence in this uncomfortable bed. á
á
á
You give him the peace to sleep soundly for the first time in years.
á
á
á
á
á
á
The snow-capped mountains have collapsed again, and the glaciers have cracked once more. Every day, he must face these trials, even as he prays to the gods, to the Valar. á
á
á
But his pleas have never been answered. Not even by you. It is as if the Valar have abandoned them, indifferent and uncaring. á
á
á
In truth, he doesn't even dare to pray to you. á
á
á
He fears that you might reject his pleas. á
á
á
Afraid that when he looks into your eyes, hears your voice, it will be filled with guilt and coldness. á
á
á
If that were the case, it would break his heart even more than being alive but dead inside. á
á
á
The streams running beneath the cold glaciers remind him of every word he speaks, making him hate himself even more. He knows how much he misses you, how the cold that does nothing to his body seeps into his mind. á
á
á
It penetrates to his very soul, which cries out for your name through the bond we share amidst all this suffering. á
á
á
You are Maiar, a servant of Ulmo, and he is Fingolfin, the exiled prince of the Noldor. á
á
á
His eyes are weary, yet he must endure to lead his Noldorin followers to survive the deadly cold of HelcaraxĂ«. á
á
á
The screams and laments of those he leads make it harder for him to sleep, though sleep is not even necessary. á
á
á
Eru, he prays with his life, no matter how much you despise himâhe just wants you to be here, to hold him, to whisper that everything will be alright. á
á
á
"Please... I need you, Y/N" á
á
á
á
á
á
Your lord, Ulmo, is assigning a task to you. He is aware of your relationship with that Noldorin prince. á
á
á
You are a loyal and faithful servant, and Ulmo understands this well. Therefore, he has granted you the power over the waters beneath the icy waters of HelcaraxĂ«, to help quell the fury of OssĂ«'s rage. á
á
á
You watch over and assist the drowning Noldorin elves time and again, saving them from loss. Yet sometimes, even the anger of the waters is beyond control. á
á
á
You immediately think of Fingolfin when you hear the mournful cries of the elves. In the end, due to the difficulty of your duties, you inadvertently closed off your fea (spirit). á
á
á
But tonight is different. Tonight, you hear a faint but deeply painful sob through your connection with him. á
á
á
"My NolofinwĂ«," you whisper softly, and decide to seek him out. á
á
á
á
á
á
á
á
á
Inside the brightly lit tent, Fingolfin sat frozen in shock as he saw your familiar figure slowly approach him. á
á
á
His legs, unsteady with longing, rushed to embrace you tightly, inhaling the warmth of your scent, as if it were sunlight in the summer. á
á
á
His face buried in your chest, his arms wrapped around you in a desperate embrace, as if afraid this moment might be a dream. á
á
á
"Eru, tell me this isn't a dream." á
á
á
His body held onto you with no regard for appearances, even though you were alone in the tent, with only the soft glow of a torch to warm the empty, wounded heart within him. á
á
á
"I'm here, my love. Iâm here now." á
á
á
You cupped his face in your hands before gently pressing a kiss to his forehead, your silver eyes gazing at him with affection. á
á
á
"I called for youâbut you didn't answer... I thought you were disappointed in me, angry with meâ" á
á
á
Your expression softened, and you carefully lifted the Noldorin prince into your arms, cradling him as you would a fragile maiden, treating him with the tenderness he so desperately needed. á
á
á
"It was my carelessness that blocked my spirit, preventing me from hearing your prayers." á
á
á
You pressed your forehead against his in a loving gesture, then kissed the crown of his head once more. á
á
á
"You donât hate me, trulyâdo you?" á
á
á
Fingolfin gazed at you with pleading eyes, searching for comfort and sincerity in your response. á
á
á
"I have never hated you, my love." á
á
á
Just those few words from you brought him a sense of relief, as if a mountain had been lifted from his aching chest. á
á
á
You gently laid him down on the bed, pressing a kiss to his forehead as a cold breeze swept through the tent's curtains. á
á
á
He clung to you, unwilling to let go, looking at you with eyes full of longing. á
á
á
"Donât go..." á
á
á
You canât refuse him, not when you loved him so deeply and were willing to give him everything. á
á
á
He pulled you down beside him, his back easily sinking into the soft fabric beneath him. á
á
á
Could you really turn him away? á
á
á
"Itâs so cold here. Come, warm my bed..." á
á
á
"Please..." á
á
á
There was no way you could ever refuse him. á
á
á
á
á
á
The flame in the torch flickered with the force of the snowstorm outside the tent, yet it did not extinguish our insatiable desire. á
á
á
á
á
á
Fingolfin's face flushed with heat, and his cheeks turned a charming shade of rosy red. á
á
á
á
á
á
His hair spread out on the bed amidst a pile of clothes on the portable bed, lacking the comfort of a palace. His white neck was adorned with red spots, like a brand. á
á
á
You sit between the legs of the holy prince, eagerly and passionately kissing to dispel the severe cold of HelcaraxĂ«. á
á
á
Who would have thought he could be so beautiful even when exiled far from the elven paradise? á
á
á
"Don'tâdon't lookâŠ" á
á
á
His hips tightened when they were thrust and penetrated by the giant cock of Maiarr, who became one with him to alleviate his psychological trauma. á
á
á
Fingolfin struggled hard to suppress his hoarse, lustful moans as he was repeatedly thrustâagain and again. á
á
á
His lower body was completely numb, yet he unconsciously lifted his hips to absorb your impact, as if his body was betraying him to satisfy his desires. á
á
á
"Hng-Hnggg! Ah!" á
á
á
"T-That's too much-!" á
á
á
"Just a little more, NolofinwĂ«," You murmured while nibbling the tip of his pointed ear. á
á
á
His cock twitched against his abs in rippling muscles when you did that. He almost came with every thrust of yours. It made him feel so goodâso good that he couldn't stop. á
á
á
His hands clawed and crumpled the poor bedspread until it was almost torn. Your back was covered with his scratches, seeking an outlet for this ecstatic feeling. á
á
á
"Ah-ah! Ah! Ah!" á
á
á
M-More! á
á
á
Fingolfin moaned. He no longer cared whether any elf with keen ears and curiosity passed by, for the happiness and warmth you gave him made this cold bed more inviting to lie down on than ever before. á
á
á
Every time his lips tenderly kissed and savored, drawing the breath from his lungs, it felt as if it stopped the functioning of his brain. á
á
á
The dizzying feeling made his legs weak, not unlike a first-time bride who just spent her wedding night. á
á
á
The scent of sweat and our moans intertwine. Your nose nuzzles, inhaling his sweat. The muscles in your legs tense and twitch, soft and limp in your hands. á
á
á
You are so strong, powerfulâand magnificentâthat he felt a knot in his lower stomach as if he were pinned down by hot nails, unable to move anywhere. á
á
á
It didn't take long for your expertise to make his cock twitch and release a pearly liquid that splattered across his chest and stomach. á
á
á
Fingolfin arched his hips up, his back lifting off the bed. His mouth opened, letting out a moan, and he yanked your collar down, pressing a passionate kiss that made a slurping sound with our tongues entwined. á
á
á
His eyes widened as he regained consciousness and felt the warmth within himâyour big cock was still hard and throbbing inside him, the sound caught between his legs. á
á
á
Huh? á
á
á
"Are you joking meâŠ? W-Why are you still hardâŠ" á
á
á
so warm- he's think. á
á
á
His lungs felt like they were burning, but he held his breath until he could speak. However, what he received from his curiosity was just the corner of your mouth smiling. á
á
á
Your battle-hardened palm gripped his pale thigh, pulling it apart even more. "I'm not done yet, my beloved. It's so cold tonight. How about I warm your bed instead?" á
á
á
Eru⊠á
á
á
Fingolfin's face turned red, his lips bit down before being helped by that insatiable Maiar to warm the bed once more.

a preview of the next chapter of To Think We Could Stay the Same (a flashback scene):
(next chapter will be out today!)
Ground OPs was one thing Tommy avoided when he could, it wasnât as freeing as being up in the air, doing one of the very few things man should never do. It amazed him how humanity worked hard to do the impossible, to chase dreams and become one with the sky above. Those were the times Tommy was able to forget his life, himself, and every minor to major concern that wrapped around Tommyâs mind. But today was not one of those days, Tommy and a few others were called in to deal with a raging fire engulfing a local distillery.Â
The work was grueling, taking longer than anyone had expected. With the fire now out, Tommy searched the charred building for any hotspots that needed to be dealt with before becoming a raging fire once more. Ash coated Tommyâs skin, stinging his eyes, and covered his tongue. All he could taste was the filthy ash, all he could smell was the smoke.Â
âWell, if it isn't Firefighter Kinard?â a familiar voice gleefully pierced the silence.Â
Tommy turned with a smile watching as the familiar man moved closer to him, his smile bright, his bright blue eyes gleaming.Â
âFirefighter Buckley, what a nice surprise,â Tommy giggled as Evan skipped closer ducking his head. Even under the helmet, Tommy could see the pink rising in Evan's cheeks. He loved the way Evan had his heart on his sleeve, how open and honest he really was. Evan lifted his head staring into Tommy's eyes, he could have sworn he saw starlight in Evan's big blues.
âHey, I-I was wondering if we could meet up at yours tonight after our shifts. We could get take out, watch a movie, do other thingsâŠâ Evan cooed.Â
âOr,â Tommy replied, âWe can head to yours, it is closer to both stations and we could get pizza from that place you love so much. More convenient that way.â
âY-Yeah sure, as long as we are together that is all that matters,â Evan smiles âBut we are not getting black olives on that pizza Tommy.âÂ
âOh come on, not even half?â Tommy chuckled.Â
âI will never understand how that is your favorite pizza topping, let alone how you can even stomach it.âÂ
âSays the man who likes to have weird fancy toppings on his pizza.â
âThat prosciutto arugula pizza is the best pizza you ever had and you know it,â Evan gasped, âThe saltiness from the prosciutto, the sweetness from the balsamic vinaigrette. The ricotta sauce underneath the mozzarella enhancing the flavor of the toppings. You wouldn't know good pizza if it hit you in the face.âÂ
Tommy laughed, with his laugh apparently being infectious, Evan followed suit, their laughs echoing throughout the building.Â
âBuckley, get your ass back out here now, you've taken too long in there, now move or we leave without you!â Gerrard barked from the radio ending their laughter.Â
âDuty calls,â Evan sighs.Â
âGuess it does. Thought you'd have to say his name three times in order for him to appear,â Tommy said.Â
Evan stares at him perplexed.Â
âOh come on,â Tommy says, âSay his name three times, like Beetlejuice?âÂ
Tommy must have grown another head with the way Evan looked at him.Â
âOk it's decided we are watching Beetlejuice tonight,â Tommy chuckled. âCan't believe my boyfriend hasn't seen Beetlejuice.âÂ
He watched as Evan's hands dropped to his side, his body growing tense.Â
Shit, he said the word boyfriend didn't he?Â
âS-Sorry,â Tommy mumbled, âI-It just slipped out I-âÂ
Evan goes in close, locking his lips against Tommy's.Â
âDon't be sorry,â Evan gasped once releasing Tommy, âNever say sorry, not for that.âÂ
âS-So that was ok then?âÂ
âYeah,â Evan smiled, âMore than ok.âÂ

FFXIV Write 2024 Day 3: Tempest
She watched as Varrus flitted between their companions, each strewn about the streets of the mysterious city in the depths of the Tempest, each mulling over their own troubles and turmoils. She watched as he clapped his hand upon their shoulders and offered them smiles, offered them embraces, offered them reassurance.Â
But, gods, how could he? In the state he was in, who was he to be comforting them? With the Light beating upon the cages of his chest, threatening to break free, to overwhelm him at any given moment?Â
Heâd tried to hide it, of course - the fear, the pain - but she knew. She knew all-too-well.Â
And it terrified her.Â
But she refused to acknowledge it. Starkly pushed down her emotions as sheâd followed him into the very depths themselves, as sheâd pledged to stand by his side until the very end.Â
It wouldnât end there. Not that day. It simplyâŠÂ
It simply couldnât.Â
She knew, as he finished speaking with Ryne, that it would be her turn next - that heâd exhausted all other allies to speak to. And, indeed, he glanced over to meet her eye - only for her to sharply avert her gaze.Â
Yet, still, he approached; his footsteps upon the stone struck as heavy as her heartbeat in her chest as she squeezed her eyes shut, willing herself to hold herself together.Â
âJess-â
âDonât,â she gasped, fighting back the lump she felt forming in her throat. âWhatever words you have, save them. You know you donât need to convince me. Iâm barely hanging on, as-is; I donât think I have it in me to hear what you have to say.âÂ
She knew it was folly; she knew he wasnât about to be deterred.Â
And, indeed, his voice reached her ears once more - his soft, sweet voice, the one sheâd grown accustomed to hearing every morning as she awoke, the one that whispered sweet nothings in her ear every night she fell asleep in his arms. The one that felt like home.
The one she couldnât bear to lose.
âDo you remember the night we met?â
âOf course I do,â she whispered - for how could she forget? It was the day her life had changed, the day destiny saw fit to set her upon her path, one that led her to that very moment, in a conjured city beneath the waves on a world entirely different from her own.Â
âWell, call me crazy, but I knew, then and there, that you were the one. The one who owned me, heart, body and soul. The one Iâd been waiting for all my life. The second our eyes locked, my life as I knew it was over. It hasnât been easy. It hasnât been without pain. And damn if there arenât times I regret ever dragging you into this mess - how I wished you were safe and sound on the Source right now, instead of here, preparing to look death in the eye at my side. But I know you; I know youâd never be happy in such a life. I only hope⊠I only hope your journey has been everything youâve ever dreamed of.â
âIt has.â Only then did she dare to open her eyes - nearly regretting it the instant she did, as she met his gaze, the warmth of his golden eyes rivaled only by the hot sting of her tears, threatening to spill over. âBeyond my wildest dreams. And,â she balled her fists by her sides, unable to stop the tears from flowing, âitâs not over yet.â
âNo.â Gently, he reached down, grasping her hands between his as he lowered his head to nuzzle her cheek. âYour journey is not over, my love. No matter what happens in there⊠you must live. Survive. Make your mark on history.â
She leaned forward to press her forehead against his. âNo,â she choked, ânot without you. My place is by your side, through life or death, and I donât intend to change that.â
âJessâŠâ
Whatever protest he had, she wouldnât hear it, instead tilting her chin to press her lips against his. His taste was a familiar comfort, his touch her home - and she was not about to lose him. Not so long as she stood and breathed, Ascian madman be damned.Â
âNow come on,â she murmured softly, just as soon as they broke apart, âWeâre getting through this, one way or another. Together. No matter what.â
âNo matter what.â
And with that, she summoned the last shreds of her resolve, her hands still firmly clamped in his as she turned her gaze on Amaurotâs Capitol building⊠where she would see their journey through to its end.Â

Finding Love Katakuri x Reader Part 3
"Eating with me? What is she thinking?!", Katakuri grumbled annoyed while taking some papers to have a look on it. The way she asked him with this sweet smile of hers let his heart flutter, but the next moment he felt cold. For him it was too good to be true that she really wanted to know him. A monster like him? There must be some kind of bad intention be the reason for this. Sighing he signed some orders, but still she was on his mind. Maybe she really wantedâŠ
"Big brother Katakuri."
Looking up, he was met with his sister and brothers. Slowly they entered his office and took a seat in front of him.
"(Y/N) wanted to get to know you better?", Brulee started seriously and took his brother by surprise. Raising an eyebrow, he gave her an annoyed look.
"None of your business.", Katakuri spoke shortly, but knew all too well that Brulee wouldn't stop.
"You should be happy that she makes a step and wanted to spend time with you. Why don't you give it a try and eat breakfast with her tomorrow?", Brulee asked, but was stopped by a growl from Katakuri.
"And then? What will happen next? Do you really think that showing my face to her would make things easier? Forget this dream of yours about a happy lovey dovey ending and leave it be. She just needs informations to maybe get out of here. That's all. Eating with her? What nonsense. ", he spoke in a mocking tone.
" I think she has a kind heart and won't be afraid of your face⊠Don't speak so low of yourself..", Brulee spoke but was interrupted by her brothers.
" Well I think it's none of our business. ", Daifuku spoke calmly and gave Katakuri an order list of their mother.
Sighing Brulee fell silent. She knew that he wouldn't give it a try.
" Well I think our brother is an idiot to have such a beauty as wife and doing nothing.",Oven joked and signed some papers.
"It's an arrangement nothing moreâŠ", Katakuri whispered more to himself, but clearly for everyone to hear. Seeing the sadness in his eyes they kept their mouths shut. Never did they see their brother so emotional. Brulee could see it that he had an inner conflict of what to do. He had feelings for this woman, for his wife, but the fear of being rejected was too much of a burden to try something. It broke her heart, but she couldn't do anything about it.
"Hopefully (Y/N) will make a step to see what beautiful man her husband is. With and without scars."
Xxxx
The following days (Y/N) realized how her life on this island would be.
Alone.
Waking up alone, getting lead by servants to her breakfast, eating alone, doing nothing alone and that was all.
Since the incident at the breakfast table, Katakuri went out for work early in the morning and came back late. If they see each other he just greeted her shortly and left quickly. (Y/N) felt isolated and sick of this life. This couldn't go on like that. Without any social contact she would go insane. Going for a walk seemed great, but (Y/N) felt too scared to discover the island alone. Once she tried and got completely lost. She needed hours to come back and feared to be scolded of coming too late.
Sighing she reached the dining hall and ate her breakfast in silence again. Hearing the cooks at the back, she could tell that they were kind of busy and on high alert.
"is something wrong?"
Interested she got up and looked inside the kitchen. People were baking like crazy. Scared and frustrated they were filling baskets with giant doughnuts. Amazed she entered to look at the sweet desserts.
"Miss⊠Miss (Y/N)! Please don't touch them⊠They are for Master Katakuri. Please don't be angry. We can't make you a dessert now..", a servant pleaded next to her. Stunned she gave him a friendly clap on his shoulder and smiled.
"Don't worry. I don't want a dessert. Why should I be angry about something like that?", she asked confused and could see how relieved everyone was.
"What's the matter here?"
"Thank you Miss (Y/N). You are too kind. You see Master's Merienda is very important. We have to deliver him his doughnuts like always or we are screwed. Today don't ask me why, some cooks made a mistake with the recipes and now we are short in time to get things ready.", he explained frustrated and counted the doughnuts in the basket.
" oh so that's why. Let me help you. ", (Y/N) announced happily and motivated she took an cooking apron to get things started.
" Miss (Y/N) we can't let you work!!!", shocked they watched the beautiful girl preparing her workplace for making dough.
"Don't worry. I want to help you and I know how to bake sweets from my grandmother. He is working really hard so he deserves his break like he had ordered. Let me help him and you.", she spoke happily and got big smiles of her words.
"Miss (Y/N)⊠You are so sweet"
"sweeter as these desserts."
"our Master is a lucky man to have you as his wife."
In a way it pained her heart to hear that. "I don't think he is happy at all..and i am so lonely⊠", she whispered saddened, but brushed it quickly off to go on, but one servant heard it. Quickly he took her hand to comfort her.
"Such a beautiful lady shouldn't be depressed. You can always talk to us, even if we seem busy or nervous. That's just because we are in a hurry..Master Katakuri has many things to doâŠhe always comes late at night. I am sorry if you can't speak to him often. But if you ask me, lately he is acting kind of nervous. Something we never were able to see. I think he is just unsure of how to act towards you."
Nodding relieved to finally speak to somebody after days of isolation, she concentrated on her work and relaxed. It felt great to be under people again and work. Back at her home she always helped out. She didn't care if she was a princess. It's just a title and not stopping her to help people and care for someone. And for her husband she decided to be herself and do things like she believed. And if he was lonely like she thought, she would try and comfort him. In a way she felt sorry for him like she felt sorry for herself about her fate, which had led her into this life, but like her grandmother always said.
"If life gets hard, don't give up. It could always be a new opportunity, a new chance to experience something new. "
If he would push her away, fine, but not without showing that she really was making a step to become friends and get along with each other. If he still hated her, she would accept that. Even if life would be like prison.
Amazed of her creations and tips she got from the others, she happily put her doughnuts into the basket. With her quick understanding of baking these special sweets, she could help Katakuri's servants to get everything ready.
Cheering happily the servants got the baskets and headed out to deliver it to their Master's special room.
"so he really eats always alone at a special place.", she asked stunned and helped to clean the table. "If you ask me, he didn't look like a man who loves sweets. He seems..", she added uneasy to tell them what was on her mind.
"strong? Amazing? Brave?", they asked curious.
"I would say calm, silent or maybe cold?", she asked carefully and got knowing smiles from the others.
"Don't be afraid of Master Katakuri. He is a tall and intimitating man, yes, but it's because he is one of the sweet commanders. He is strong and brave. Always working for the best of his mother and siblings. He puts his family before him. Always. And protects our home. For you this all seems very scary..because his behavior isn't easy to handle, but if you follow the rules everything is fine. ", one servant spoke kindly and looked into the smiling face of this beautiful girl. " and that you make him sweets is a sweet gesture to show your gratitude to be under his protection. As his wife nobody dares to even look at you. ", one added with a shudder.
"wow⊠He must be feared by many people..", she spoke nervously and the other nodded frightened. She already knew from her parents that she was living now with the Big mom pirates, but didn't know what this really meant. (Y/N) never met any pirates. And now she was married to the scariest one.
"he is known all over sea. With a high bounty"
She didn't know that this man was such a strong pirate. Yeah he looked like that and this title suited him, but that he was such a dangerous man and now her husband was beyond her imagination.
On the other side Katakuri already waited for his sweets. Kind of annoyed he watched the door, which was quickly pushed open and his servants put the baskets beside his seat.
" Took you long enough..", he grumbled and looked over the delicious doughnuts, but some of them were looking different like he used to eat.
"Master Katakuri, I am terribly sorry for being late. Hopefully these sweets will calm your nerves. Miss (Y/N) wanted to help too and made you some of these.", his butler took one of the special looking doughnuts and gave it to a surprised Katakuri. Stunned he watched the lovely decorated coating with fruits and chocolate.
" my.. My wife did that for me? ", he whispered in awe and forgot that he wasn't alone.
"hopefully you don't mind. She wanted to support you and made these. She worked really hard. Please forgive us and her if you didn't want that.", the servant stuttered and bowed.
"it's⊠It's okay. You can go.", the sweet commander spoke nervously and got up from his seat to give his sweets a closer look.
With a smile they left their master alone to let him taste a piece of heaven. "She didn't have to do that. She didn't have to do anything at all. Why?", he whispered and was surprised about the detailed decoration. There was also a little text which said "Have a nice day.."
Slowly he guided the doughnut to his mouth and took a bite. The cream and fruits mixed their taste and felt like a sweet explosion in his mouth. God he loved it. Every single bite he couldn't stop. Normally having his time with eating, he stuffed them down as quickly as he grabbed it. Sighing in delight Katakuri rubbed his stomach and felt his heart flutter. She was too good to be true. Could he really have such a luck? Was it really possible that she wanted to know him better? Feeling uneasy he thought about it to maybe make a step towards her, but felt helpless in thinking how he should do that. On top he acted like an asshole.
In the meantime (Y/N) was walking along the corridors with another book from the library. Reading was the only time killer she had and it helped with the loneliness. Concentrated on reading the plot of her new book, she accidently bumped into someone. Before she made contact with the floor, her savior grabbed her hand to lift her up. Embarrassed her look wandered to the serious one of Katakuri.
"You should look where you are going or you will hurt yourself.", he spoke shortly and helped her to her feet. Nodding she thanked him and made space for him to go on. Katakuri could see that she was uneasy and didn't know how to act towards him after he shouted at her. She stayed silent and waited for him to pass her. He felt bad that he was the cause of her distress.
" I⊠Thank you for the doughnuts.", he quickly spoke and hid his face in his scarf.
Surprised (Y/N) looked up to him and smiled from ear to ear that he spoke to her.
"Thank you that you accepted them. Hopefully they were good?", she tried to speak as normal as possible, but her excitement to finally speak to him was unbearable.
" they were AmazingâŠ", he blurted out and felt his cheeks burn of hearing her heartwarming laugher.
"Really?! I learned baking from my grandmother and often read about recipes in some books, plus i got many tips from your servants.. If I am allowed I can make you more tomorrow.", she spoke out of happiness that he liked it.
"You would?!", he asked shocked and let her smile grew while nodding happily.
Quickly calming down Katakuri avoid her beautiful face.
"What is she doing to meâŠ" He couldn't resist her and most of all he couldn't resist her desserts. Maybe just maybe he could try to open up a little.
"Sounds goodâŠ", he spoke shortly to keep his strong appearance and walked away quickly. (Y/N) looked after him and felt relieved. The way he spoke, nervous, shy and this little spark of happiness in his tone, let her hope that her husband really had a heart deep inside. Maybe just maybe they could be friends and support each other on their difficult fate.

" A Shade of Blue in Spring's View "
Summary: The memories of spring long lost forgotten starts to resurface, as you face the last person you least expected.
The drastic way of how fate plays its game full of twists and dreams that shattered along the way.
The endless nights filled with sleepless nights, wondering where I went wrong and the what ifs as the scenario plays again in my head, like a cascade on repeat.
Choosing a path as I gamble away what is right and what is wrong, follow the rules or break the rules, be selfish or self-righteous, be the hero or be the villain.
No one really knows, but maybe in this lifetime... I'll play the role as the antagonist.
And yet, that antagonist finally meets it doom.
Crimson red flowing like the river Nile, where death upon in me is near.
Before I meet the man of death, my life flashed before my eyes. Out of all memories, it had to be Spring. The spring that changed the course of my life. The memories of spring where I was at the peak of my youth.
The spring where I experienced being a young man enjoying life to the fullest. The spring that tainted my thoughts and changed my ideals of the world. The spring where I bloomed and discovered my reason and purpose. Lastly, the spring where I found love and crushed "him" like a withered daffodil. As cliche as it is, similar to a boring romcom where the main characters run into each other's arms, embracing themselves in joy and love. I, too, was faced by the man whom I swore to death.
"You're late, Satoru." Said I, in a tone lingering like honey as I have always been when interacting with the man. Even near death doors, I will forever be gentle with my words whenever I am near him. As I lean on the wall while facing the man for the last time. Those eyes as I can recall were full of love once, and now it's filled with nothingness, no, my eyes must be fooling me. Those blue eyes that many detest, but I found solace in it says otherwise: regret.
"Suguru." The albino haired man called my name in a tone that is thicker than ice. Satoru Gojo is his name, a special grade sorcerer for having the "Six-eyes," many envy him for inheriting such technique as well as being the strongest sorcerer. But for him, he finds it a curse.
People say Satoru is special for it, but... does a technique really matter to be special? Well, maybe in the world we are in. However, Satoru Gojo is special indeed, special to the point seeing him in so much pain that only I can see.
Finally, he dropped the question that I merely chuckle.
"Any last words?" Satoru Gojo asked me, before we part ways.
"No matter what anyone says, I hate those monkeys. But I never held any hatred for those in Jujutsu High." I tell him honestly, "I just couldn't wear a heartfelt smile in this world."
It is the truth, after seeing my peers die for the sake of others as they slowly line up in death's doors, I could not bare that thought.
"Suguru." Surprised by how soft his voice was in this situation, brings me back to the spring nights laying on the same bed, staring at the ceiling whispering sweet nothings.
I stare at him wide eyes at his confession, A weak smile appeared on my lips and with my last breath, "At least hit me with some curses at my end."
We finally bid farewell to one another.
At some moments, maybe I cursed myself for having regrets choosing this path for myself.
I admit, I was envy of him once.
But I set it aside and played my own cards to win instead.
Nevertheless, maybe this path of ours is different and fate is too cruel for us to be together.
Just maybe, just maybe... The situation is different and a sign that we are not meant to be together.
After all, love is the cruelest curse of them all.
Mori's notes: Hello! This is my first time writing fanfiction in a while and I hope everyone likes it at least.
The dialogues are replicated as it is in the movie to give it more detail and the feels.
But, the rest are all mine and please don't plagiarism nor steal my words.
I appreciate some feedbacks, likes, and reblogs (â âąâ  â âœâ  â âąâ ;â )
Lovely dividers from @fawndollie do check her out!

Hi! I'd like to know your opinion on one of my expectations for Kazuomi's next season. I have a question for you too âșïž
**Spoilers alert : I talk a little about Kei and Yuzu's past stories**
In the near future, Kazuomi will definitely reveal his true self to the MC, but I also want her to have some deductions about the truth he's hiding (his past and his real feelings). The MC has a really good intuition, and she likes to investigate. So I don't want her to only wait for him to share his feelings and do nothing. I want her to show Kazuomi and let him know that he can actually talk to her and be vulnerable around her. Because she will always be by his side and love him no matter what. Kazuomi has always been here when the MC was feeling down and lost. This time, it's Kazuomi who needs help, even though he thinks otherwise.
I want to see more sweet moments between these two lovers. More importantly, I don't want Kazuomi to still feel lonely and to not feel understood. It means the world to him that the MC respects his boundaries and understands him like no one else did. Therefore, I hope the MC won't be too passive in the next stories and that she will try to find the truth by herself, to help and truly understand Kazuomi. You know, similar to Kei and Yuzu's stories. I'm aware that Kazuomi has a different writer, but I want his story to be as well-written as Kei and Yuzu's stories. In fact, Kazuomi is a complex character who needs good development.
When it comes to the past, he is, among the 3S, the one who keeps chasing his past. **Spoilers : We know that Kei unconsciously erased his past in order to protect himself from his trauma. For Yuzu, he chose to abandon his little brother in order to have a better future, and he doesn't regret his choice. However, he feels guilty as he still cares for his brother.**
On the other hand, Kazuomi claims to not care about the past and says that the present is more important to him. We now know it's not the case. He wants to forget his past and so, he tries to be someone who lives in the present, but it's only a mask. Like I said in a previous comment, his past still haunts him today and he can't deny it. (I don't know if you read Jujutsu Kaisen, but Kazuomi's issue with his past kind of reminds me of Gojo Satoru's story)
Furthermore, if we analyse Kazuomi's character, we can see that most of the things he does are related to his past. For example, his dream to open a resort, the meaning of Christmas for him, his love for games and gambling (in addition to the anticipation and the mental thrill of not knowing the outcome because of all the different possibilities), his love for sweets and desserts, his feeling of loneliness and his struggle to really trust others (sometimes he can be emotionally detached), etc. That's why his upcoming stories must be well-written because Kazuomi is the character who needs to confront his past the most. I know you'll post a detailed analysis of the characters from MK, so I can't wait to read it!
Of course, all of the things I've written will happen depending on the plot for his upcoming season. Someone of Kazuomi's past life will most likely appear too (similar to Kei and Yuzu's stories). Who do you think it could be, and why?
I'm sorry I wrote a lot haha. Thanks for reading until the end! â€ïž
Heya đ„°
Kazuomi's Cryptic Past
As of now, we can only interpret how things will go since we don't know what happened to him other than his family basically betrayed him. He lost everything. He felt lonely and not loved. He became homeless. He hates his father more than anyone, too, it seems.
I totally agree that Kazuomi needs to rely on others, especially MC, about his past. We should be able to see that soon once his next season is released.
Maybe the MC will have her own deductions from his past and play an active role in discovering it for herself, or maybe she'll actually decide to keep those deductions to herself and let Kazuomi reveal it to her, out of consideration and love for him.
When it comes to Kazuomi, he knows that MC is there for him. He's already aware of that, deep down. As you said, he also appreciates that she doesn't push him for answers and revelations about his past.
In his mind, he already sees her as the woman of his life. The only one who could understand him that well, and not press him for answers. She's irreplaceable to him.
But Kazuomi is also someone who has been betrayed before. Especially by his father, and by women, especially his "mother". The story with his "mother" was vague but it seemed to have had a huge impact on him, and I don't know exactly what she did, but it's clear he was incredibly hurt by this woman. In the end, he didn't feel truly loved by her.
So it makes sense that he might not completely feel ready to be weak in front of someone again, even if it's the love of his life. He doesn't want to be weak in front of her and have her pity him, even if she's not like that.
Due to that, I assume, he often tests MC along his seasons to see how much of him she is willing to accept, and she always accepts him and loves him more, which in turn makes him love her even more, and it shows us how far their love can go (it's infinite, I'm telling you đ„°)
So this next step is, I think, going to be Kazuomi finally revealing his past in his next big MS and see how MC will react to the "real Kazuomi" and if she's still going to love him.
It's possible that the real Kazuomi is, at least according to him, pathetic, naive and weak. Or maybe it's a side of him more cruel than what he has shown her before.
Deep down, I think he's scared of what she'll think of him, and he hopes she'll accept him despite his many flaws. But he's also convinced "forever" doesn't exist, and that even their relationship might be a fleeting one.
He is currently in a philosophical conflict. He wants her by his side, wants her to know everything, but at what cost? Will she eventually leave once she knows? Will Kazuomi risk losing his life in a new gamble, and he'll have to say farewell to her?
I expect the MC to once again show him she loves him just as he is, because he is him, the man she loves, which will probably surprise and touch Kazuomi's heart way more than anyone ever could. And he'll realize and have the confirmation that he doesn't need anything but her.
MC's Personality & Love for Kazuomi
As for her, she is aware that he doesn't want to talk about his past, and she saw it when he became surprisingly silent when he was affected by memories of his past in the R&C event.
Despite her agent side, curiosity and love for investigation, we often overlook that the MC is a woman respectful enough to not poke her nose where she feels it doesn't belong.
She loves Kazuomi so much and is worried about him, rightfully so, but she doesn't want to cross a boundary without permission or consideration. She'd love for him to tell her about it someday, but she's waiting for him to be ready.
Him opening up on his own to her without her asking wouldn't be such a bad thing to me to be honest. I sure hope she plays a role in his story, and she will as always, but I think Kazuomi revealing his past to her would be a great depiction of his trust and love towards her.
Trust me, I love MC being badass and doing her job amazingly well and going beyond expectations. And if she does have a mission or a situation where she has to uncover his past in full detail, I hope it'll be done well too in a beautifully written story again.
The problem is: if she decides to uncover his past herself, how will he take it?
He treats his past like a highly confidential mission. It's possible that, if she gets involved into it too deeply in the end, they'll have to become foes again. And then Kazuomi will ultimately realize he wants her to know and won't stop her from knowing.
Or, if his past becomes dangerous for her, he'll feel guilty because she's now in danger because of him. We can't really know how things will turn out since we have no clues about what even happened to him before.
Possible outcomes in the next season?
I actually can see his next season going two different ways (at least):
She discovers the truth about his past through a mission (and the client could even be the antagonist). She'll have to put her feelings aside and fulfill her mission while having mixed feelings about discovering something he wanted to hide to the world and especially to her. Kazuomi might become distant as he decides to face his past alone and puts himself in danger against the antagonist, which will fuel the MC to save him
Another situation would be him opening up to her once the drama of his past (lui pĂšte Ă la gueule đ€Ł) happens and he has to face his past forcefully because the antagonist either shamelessly reveals his past publicly, or in front of MC, or he'd just put Kazu and MC in a situation where they have to talk about it. And then, MC, and maybe even Yuzu, Kei, and others? would decide to help him out against said antagonist
No matter how it goes, I'm sure it'll be well written. I have never been disappointed honestly. I always see the reasoning behind the characters' actions which is probably why I'm never mad or sad about developments?
At least in MK, I've never been bothered by how a season has been written (except the case about the way the Boss' last season was treated, which is more of an exception, since Voltage discontinued him abruptly and left him with plot holes and left me with my HEART BROKEN GAHH)
Kazuomi's manufactured personality
It's funny that you mention Jujutsu Kaisen and especially Gojo Satoru when you talk about Kazuomi, because JJK became one of my favorite animes and mangas, and Gojo has a special place in my heart. I have started reading the manga so nobody spoils me!!
I can see the similarity between Gojo and Kazu. Their bubbly, quirky and charismatic personality hides the scars they try to run away from. It's also a distraction for them (and it helps them distract others from their vulnerability, too)
It makes them overcome their sadness, loneliness and anger as well since putting on a different mask enables you to put distance between your present self and your past self.
Like you said, It's clear that Kazuomi chases his past. He's the one character from MK who's really secretive about what happened to him, even more than Kei who runs away from a past full of trauma, more than Yuzu who fights against his emotions, and more than the Boss who is KNOWN for not being straightforward and having his emotions be "inactive", if that makes sense.
And I'm so curious and also scared to know what he's really like. Because I love the way he is now personality-wise, but I hope I'll love him even more once his mask falls for good. I also hope he'll still be his witty and fun self, but I'm sure his story will be amazing.
Who's the antagonist?
When it comes to who they'll be up against next time, considering the revelations from the Revenge & Challenge event, the only people I assume could make an appearance are Kazuomi's father, or maybe his "mother".
I don't know if they'd be the potential antagonists. It's possible that they were more victims to Kazuomi's father's dangerous relationships and got screwed. But Kazuomi resents his father a lot. I can't know how bad his father is, but he's not the purest person on Earth. It could be him.
In the Japanese app, we're also getting another event about the guys' pasts currently, so it's not unlikely that his parents will be making an appearance if they're still alive.
If it's not the parents, it's likely someone who knows about his parents, and past (and is linked to it) that we don't know about yet. Like Nate from Kei's Eden's Love story, who is an antagonist we couldn't have predicted. It could be one of the guys his father had secret meetings with. They were bad, and probably belonged to a sort of mafia (I forgot and I'm too lazy to check again I'll admit)
Conclusion (...am I writing an essay again? đ€Ł)
No matter how the season happens, the important thing, to me, is that Kazuomi finally learns to believe in "forever" and stabilizes himself with MC in the end. I hope he'll be able to live freely with her and that he can move on after all these years of suffering.
We should all forget our expectations for his route and just enjoy the ride when the time comes, though. In my humble opinion, we shouldn't wish for too many things, because that'd just make us closer to the end of his route, and it makes room for disappointment if something doesn't happen the way we wanted it to.
We have one of the best titles Voltage has made, and one of the best LIs, the elite among the elites, so let's appreciate the hard work behind it and see what the next season has to offer again. Personally, I know I'll love it đ
(And thank you for your enthusiasm about the characters' analyses! They'll be separated into different posts for each character, and Yuzu will be the first to be out when the time comes I think. But I'm re reading every MS to do a good job, as well as reading Ikémen Prince and making art most of the time, so it's taking time haha)
Thank you for the ask!

Some thoughts about that John Foster excerpt from Chapter Three. Huge spoilers for The Blue Castle under the cut.
I've kind of mostly took the Foster excerpts sprinkled in the book as LMM flexing her prose a bit, but in the name of this slow read and taking the time to analyze, the first passage of Foster's that we read actually foreshadows Barney and his relationship with Valancy really well!
âThe woods are so human,â wrote John Foster, âthat to know them one must live with them. As Valancy goes to marry Barney and live with him, she comes to truly know him like Foster writes about the woods and the opposite is also true: he comes to know her when they marry and live together. An occasional saunter through them, keeping to the well-trodden paths, will never admit us to their intimacy. If we wish to be friends we must seek them out and win them by frequent, reverent visits at all hours; by morning, by noon, and by night; and at all seasons, in spring, in summer, in autumn, in winter. Otherwise we can never really know them and any pretence we may make to the contrary will never impose on them. This is exactly what happens with Valancy and Barney. They first begins to know one another once she moves in with Cecily and Abel, then they stay together through the other seasons. Others, like Barney's ex-fiance, sauntered through and he's learned to be on guard. It is Valancy taking the time and seeking him out that builds their relationship. Also, Valancy's family never bothered to truly get to know her and instead put their ideas of her into the "family tradition". They have their own effective way of keeping aliens at a distance and shutting their hearts to mere casual sightseers. Barney/Foster is clearly projecting himself onto the woods here after what he went through being Red Fern's heir; even Valancy was too afraid of letting herself be known to others because of her family. It is of no use to seek the woods from any motive except sheer love of them; they will find us out at once and hide all their sweet, old-world secrets from us. Again, Valancy seeks out Barney for her "sheer love" of him and he hides his secrets from her. But if they know we come to them because we love them they will be very kind to us and give us such treasures of beauty and delight as are not bought or sold in any market-place. For the woods, when they give at all, give unstintedly and hold nothing back from their true worshippers. Barney again being the woods here in his relationship to Valancy! The gifts and treasures he brings to her and even comes to the point where he will go to his father so he can get the best treatment he can when he thinks Valancy's life is still in danger. And her gifts to him are the complete acceptance of who he is and sacrificing her happiness to set him free when she realizes the error that was made regarding her heart. We must go to them lovingly, humbly, patiently, watchfully, and we shall learn what poignant loveliness lurks in the wild places and silent intervals, lying under starshine and sunset, what cadences of unearthly music are harped on aged pine boughs or crooned in copses of fir, what delicate savours exhale from mosses and ferns in sunny corners or on damp brooklands, what dreams and myths and legends of an older time haunt them. This part of the passage just so reminds me of how ethereal Valancy comes to be described as, and the time that it took for both of them to learn about one another in the wilds of Muskoka. Then the immortal heart of the woods will beat against ours and its subtle life will steal into our veins and make us its own forever, so that no matter where we go or how widely we wander we shall yet be drawn back to the forest to find our most enduring kinship. And this part wraps it all up! This is Valancy and Barney at the end, their hearts beating together, their brief separation and coming back together again when they realize that they're both in love with each other. And their journey out into the world, but that they will always come back to their Blue Castle.

I am seeing how they affirm that GrrM said "slavery can only end with fire and blood" is that true?
No. That's a classic from targies. They love to use this quote from GRRM's vampire novel 'Fevre Dream' to justify their fave's campaign in Slaver's Bay:
âYou know I never held much with slavery, even if I never done much against it neither. I would of, but those damned abolitionists were such Bible-thumpers. Only I been thinkinâ, and it seems to me maybe they was right after all.You canât just go . . . usinâ another kind of people, like they wasnât people at all. Know what I mean? Got to end, sooner or later. Better if it ends peaceful, but itâs got to end even if it has to be with fire and blood, you see? Maybe thatâs what them abolitionists been sayinâ all along. You try to be reasonable, thatâs only right, but if it donât work, you got to be ready. Some things is just wrong. They got to be ended.â
Toby was looking at him queerly, still absent-mindedly wiping his hands across the front of his apron, back and forth, back and forth. âCapân,â he said softly, âyou is talkinâ abolition. This here is slave country, Capân. You could git kilt foâ sech talk.â
âMaybe I could, Toby, but right is right, thatâs what I say.â
âYou done good by olâ Toby, Capân Marsh, givinâ me my freedom and all soâs I could cook foâ you. That you did.â
âFevre Dream
Abner Marsh, the Captain of the steamboat Fevre Dream, was a white man that: "never held much with slavery, even if he never done much against it neither." And Toby Lanyard, Marsh's cook, was basically still a slave: âYou done good by olâ Toby, Capân Marsh, givinâ me my freedom and all soâs I could cook foâ you. That you did.â
Let's read more about good old Toby Lanyard:
The cook was a free colored man named Toby Lanyard, who had been with Marsh fourteen years, ever since Marsh tasted his cooking down in Natchez, bought him, and gave him his freedom.
(...) "Jest Toby, Cap'n," came the soft whispered reply.
Marsh's fear suddenly melted away and seemed silly. Toby Lanyard was the gentlest old soul ever set foot on a steamboat, and one of the meekest as well, Marsh called out, "Comin'," and lit a lamp by his bedside before going to open the door.
(...) "You knowed me a long time, Cap'n, you knows I wouldn't lie to you."
"Course I do," said Marsh.
"I wouldn't run off neither. You done give me my freedom and all, jest fer cookin' fer you.
(...) The events of the summer of 1857 became even more dreamlike as, one by one, those who had shared some of Marsh's experiences began to drift out of his life. Old Toby Lanyard had gone east a month after they had returned to St. Louis. Being returned to slavery once had been enough for him, now he wanted to get as far from the slave states as possible. Marsh got a brief letter from him early in 1858, saying that he'd gotten a job cooking in a Boston hotel. After that he never heard from Toby again.
âFevre Dream
As you can see, Toby is always reminding us that Marsh gave him his freedom so Toby can cook for him . . . .
Toby reminds me a lot of little Missandei. Sweet souls.
And why was Abner Marsh talking that way about the end of slavery with Toby? Well, because he knew how the vampires treated human beings, no matter their skin color. He knew how the vampires treated human beings as slaves. Vampires called humans "The cattle." For Vampires, humans were prey.
That's why we read Abner Marsh, a white man that: "never held much with slavery, even if he never done much against it neither," then saying that "You canât just go . . . usinâ another kind of people, like they wasnât people at all."
Very telling, right?
But even Abner Marsh knew that fire and blood must be the last measure: Got to end, sooner or later.
I hope this helps.
Thanks for your message :)

Silly Nightmare, Sweet Ending (Josuke Higashikata X Reader, Giorno Giovanna X Reader)
Josuke Higashikata
'This is great!' Josuke thought to himself.
He was having the best day of his life! He aced a hard test, he got the shoes he always wanted, and he managed to acquire 1,000,000 yen, without his mother noticing! His thoughts of taking you out for a nice romantic dinner were halted when he saw his house's door wide open for some reason. Suspicious, suspicious.
"Hello," Josuke asked as he slowly walked in. "Anyone home? Mom?"
"Ah, Josuke," A deep voice greeted him. "Welcome. I'd thought you'd never make it."
Josuke bristled. He knew the owner of that voice anywhere. Readying Crazy Diamond, he looked around for the culprit and slowly moved to the living room.
"Alright, Yoshikage," He growled. "Where are you?! I've pummeled you once, I can pummel you again!"
When he entered the living room, Josuke's face paled. Kira Yoshikage was dressed in a turtle costume... along with Okuyasu, Koichi, Rohan, and [Y/N]. Along for the ride were his mother and Jotaro also dressed in turtle costumes. Josuke gulped as he took a step back.
"What's going on here...?" Josuke asked uneasily.
"It's too late to turn back, Josuke," Kira smiled menacingly. "We are now of the Turtle Coven. And you must join us!"
"Join us, Josuke-kun." [Y/N] purred, grabbing onto his arm.
"Join us," Everyone else chanted. "Join us. Join us. Join us. Join us."
Josuke closed his eyes, bracing himself in terror. For a few moments, nothing happened which confused him. He opened his eyes and gave a tentative look-around. When he realized he was in [Y/N]'s house, the confusion turned into relief.
"Josuke," [Y/N]'s voice whispered in his ears. "You alright? Why're you up right now?"
"Yeah, it was just a weird dream I had." Josuke smiled in reply.
"I told you that eating spicy sashimi before bed wasn't a good idea." [Y/N] tenderly scolded. "Want some cuddles to help you sleep?"
Josuke usually wouldn't do so especially in the wake of a silly dream like that, but for some reason, he decided to indulge in the cuddling. .
Giorno Giovanna
He was working in the office, going over some paperwork. As he was reading a document that concerned itself with the involvement of an infamous Capo, [Y/N] entered in softly, smiling sweetly. He looked up and gave a tender smile of his own, his tense shoulders relaxing a bit.
"Buon Giorno, my sweet prince!" [Y/N] purred, giving me a tender kiss on the cheek.
"Buon Giorno, mi tesoro," Giorno returned with a sweet kiss to [Y/N]'s cheek. "What seems to be the occasion for today?"
"We're hosting a little luncheon today for your parents!"
"My," Giorno's smile slipped a little. "My parents are coming over here today?"
"Yep!" [Y/N] chirped cheerfully. "They're waiting at the foyer now!"
'That's strange,' Giorno thought. 'My parents aren't really supposed to know where I am. This is supposed to be a secret from them.'
"Here they are!" [Y/N] said in a bubbly tone, gently hugging Giorno's arm.
Giorno looked over to where his parents were supposed to be and he swore that he felt his eye twitch in disbelief just a bit. His mother was normal or at least she looked like she did the last time Giorno saw her before he left.
His stepfather, on the other hand, was another matter entirely. It was not because of the clothes he was wearing (a dark-blue suit) nor was it because how his brown eyes twinkled in the chandelier's lights.
No, it was because his stepfather wasn't his stepfather at all. At least, not the stepfather he remembered.
No, the person who was playing his stepfather was a young man with bright brown eyes, freckles, and an impossibly big grin on his face. At seeing this man's face, Giorno felt an odd sense of deja vu.
"Ah, Giorno," The young man beamed. "Bellissimo! It's so good to see you again!" He wrapped Giorno in an extremely tight hug.
"Pardon me, signore," Giorno tried to ask. "But have we met before?"
"But of course," The young man said. His pink hair was suddenly long, reaching down to his waist. "I'm actually the previous Boss, Diavolo! I am also..." Suddenly, the Boss turned into a space creature. "A space creature going to boop you on the nose!"
"...Huh?" Giorno was confused.
"Boop!"
Giorno immediately awoke, finding himself cuddling [Y/N] in the dark of the night. He lay there, confused, wondering what just happened.
"GioGio," [Y/N] asked sleepily. "You okay?"
"I think so," Giorno gave a small smile. "I just had a weird dream is all."
"You regret eating chocolate pudding just before bed?" [Y/N] teased.
"Not really." Giorno teased back.
"Well, alright," [Y/N] purred. "I'll get rid of those awful dreams. Just go back to sleep."
As [Y/N] gently petted his hair, Giorno felt his eyes close softly, a soft smile gracing his face, nodding back to sleep.

Intro Post ~
[Looks cautiously to and fro]
Don't tell Kyra, but I miiiiiight have taken her "secret" phone when she wasn't looking...
Not for anything bad of course! Just wanted a means to properly introduce myself ;)
đ„ Alex, Daughter of Hestia; Unclaimed...
Name: Alexandra Calida Alavez Age: 12 Pronouns: She/Her Godly Parent: Hestia; At the moment, I'm unclaimed Mortal Family: Sol Alavez (Dad) Camp Half-Blood Cabin: #21, once the truth has been revealed; for now, I tend to chill in Cabin #11 (Hermes)
Fun Facts About Yours' Truly -
đŻFavorite Color: Various shades of red and orange, though yellow is also starting to really grow on me... đŻBirthday: November 24th (smack in the middle of Autumn; every four years, my birthday also falls on the day of family feasts)
đŻHobbies: - Sparring with my Spear - Cooking and Baking - Writing and Telling Stories - Just... being there for others I suppose
đŻFavorite Snack: Bread, both savory & sweet
đŻDemigod Powers: - Pyrokinesis (i can control fire?!) - Food Enhancement (purify food/sense if it is tampered) - Limited Healing (through the food I cook) - Warmth & Serenity Inducement (make you feel warm & at peace ~)
đŻBest Camp Half-Blood Skills: - Cooking (some say the food I touch feels blessed ~) - Spearmanship - Lighting a Flame - Generally the Camp's Peacekeeper (do you all have any idea how many fights I had to break up and negotiate through)
đŻDream Job (if I werenât a demigod): I tend to be very... low-key. If I had to choose, maybe a quiet desk job. However, I also find I have a passion in helping others, so with that in mind I wouldn't say no to being a therapist or counselor of some sort!
đŻBackground: I'm an only child. My dad never really felt the need to go out and settle down with someone else, so for the longest time it was just the two of us. Unfortunately, after I went through an unnatural accident two years ago my dad decided to start dating a nasty woman, Kathleen, and let's just say we haven't had the best relationship...
But now, after my dad has disappeared and I've been brought to camp Half-Blood, I have to deal with the challenges of being a demigod while also being unclaimed! Thank goodness for Kyra, otherwise I don't think I would have managed so well (she's fantastic)!
đŻPersonality: Optimistic, passionate, though relatively introverted and a bit too altruistic for her own good, it's not too far off to say Alex is the kind of person who puts her loved ones before herself. She is always willing to lend an ear and be a pillar of support to those who need it, especially if they are near and dear to her heart. Though she is a pacifist at heart, preferring to use her words in resolving conflict, Alex will use her actions to send a message if she must!
Though she has been left unclaimed, for the time being, she does not let this deter her away from the others at camp. While still a bit of an outcast, Alex has learned to hone her abnormalities and embrace her half-divine blood (even if she has found herself growing... resentful... of her godly mother); but above all else, she is determined to find out what happened to her father!
đŻFavorite Camp Memories: - Cooking a meal for her fellow demigods for the first time - Telling a beautiful story over the campfire, one with a happy ending - Meeting Kyra for the first time (girl quite literally was a beacon of light in all the chaos)
đŻLittle Extra Detail: I can't help but imagine and create little stories about the things I see, no matter how small the subject is about: - Those campers walking off to train in the woods, who knows the trial they are preparing for? - That fox carrying a stick in his mouth, or an adventurous spirit set out to complete his own little journey? - Two fireflies, illuminating the other even when they have the means to glow so beautifully on their own...
Where will their story go from here?
