It’s almost November! Time for a fresh round of OC questions. For two kiddos of your choice:

They’re invited to an ugly-sweater party. What sweater are they wearing?

Would they rather go to a pumpkin patch or pick apples? Are they the type to bake pies with what they collect?

They’re caught unexpectedly under the mistletoe… with their crush. What do they do?

Ahhh Thank you Cam! Think I'm just gonna do Conner and Alma since they've been on the mind.

They’re invited to an ugly-sweater party. What sweater are they wearing?

Conner: Now see here's the thing this is a man that is wearing vintage sweater vests unironically. Like he has plenty of sweaters that could work based on patterns alone. He also finds it cheating if you use the sweaters made to be "ugly" like it defeats the purpose in his eyes. So for him its all about getting the thing most opposite of himself and it would be something like below

Like on their own they are okay sweaters, he just is unable to pull them off therefore creating that "ugly" aspect.

Alma: Now this has to be like a modern au situation because its just not a thing in ff. So with that in mind Alma would see the name of the party and not think to go for the more commercial and stereotypical version of an ugly sweater. So she's showin up in sweaters like below while everyone else is in the funny ones (though I suspect Clive would also be in the same boat in having something simpler that he just doesn't like style wise, something with like a plain background a single train).

Like they very much fit the rules to her but not to everyone else, well maybe the second one, but she's not in tune with what people had in mind really and even still only picked one of these because she had help from Joshua. (She and Clive can be on the same wavelength in terms of ideas so if not for intervention she'd also be in a simple sweater with like a picture of a cat on it)

That's what I have to say Cam! Why can't they be at a combo pumpkin patch apple tree farm? For both Alma and Conner you'd have to make a trip to both, they can't pick. Alma loves to forage and is very particular about ingredients so she likes the idea that for once no one can get annoyed with her. Conner just likes the chill atmosphere and is also someone that is a gardener so he's off talking to the farmers and asking questions. Ingredients picked will be used for cooking and pies. Conner has the bigger sweet tooth but he's not the best at baking/cooking, but he's got others that can make them, he's also carving the pumpkins because why not. Alma is a much more savory cook and while capable of making pies, they aren't gonna look pretty in the slightest. But she is using every part of that pumpkin for soups, the roasted seeds, pies, and healing tonics and things like hiding the occasional carrots for joshua. The apples will be used for juice, ciders, general eating, and desserts. But yeah take them to both and they will be happy campers.

Conner: Okay in og verse this is 100% a thing that's happened with Tia when they were both with the Alchemists and given that he very much would blush and duck away to avoid kissing her. She'd joke to start off with the first few times it happened but as her feelings grew she would, if they were alone, try and go for the kiss. Conner though couldn't ever go through with it for multiple reasons and so yeah he'd have to come up with some excuse or act disgusted at the thought of being that close to her. So very sad times there. Now for the sake of argument let's say that it is a thing among the Ancients in ffxiv, it would vary on where the mistletoe is for the reaction. If its in the convocation building then its a laugh with Elidibus and a whole "Nah that's super unprofessional, in fact we should move that out of here.". If its outside of work then there's more inclination to try and kiss him if they haven't already, should there be no one around. Conner just doesn't kiss and tell, so he's not gonna make a move unless it feels safe enough to do so.

Alma: Again for sake of argument if this was a thing that's done then both she and Joshua are blushing and like awkwardly laughing and trying to hide the feelings that are so clearly there. It would take a few times of getting caught under it for the two to just humor the idea and get close before Joshua pulls away first, determining it to be a silly notion and there's other things going on and happening and all that jazz. But if this was a nice universe then it would be ending in a kiss and the two still avoiding one another for a few days after because both kind of have this idea that the other isn't into them in the same way kind of thing.

A little kid and his mother are trick or treating in another city, perhaps at some kind of event rather than knocking on doors, and the kid is dressed as Phantom. It’s very adorable, with his little ghost-shaped bucket and clearly homemade and already stained costume—listen, white only works if you can just fly over street grime or phase it out of your clothes—and his slightly I’ll fitting wig. The kid is SO happy to be out and about dressed as his favorite, and maybe even showed it off to Phantom back in Amity Park before his family left.

The hero, insert whoever you wish here, is probably in civvies and just enjoying the event. The kid, meanwhile, is so glad when people ask who he is so he can explain, and so- the hero gets to hear ALL ABOUT the local town hero who is probably pretty small time despite the kid’s clearly exaggerated stories. The hero certainly never heard of him, but the kid’s mom confirms that Phantom really was the town hero, despite some mixed reviews of the poor guy.

“Did you manage to show him your costume?” the hero asks.

“Yeah! We went down to the cemetery to leave flowers and I got to show him my costume.”

Wait. Cemetery? Maybe it was part of theme, because Phantom had to be named that for a reason, but… it sounded like…

The kid ignores the suddenly VERY still hero and instead turns to his mom. “Momma, do you think we should bring him candy? He doesn’t get to trick or treat like we do, and I can work super hard to get him a bunch!”

The kid’s mom just smiles. “We could, but maybe we should bring him something homemade. I bet he’d like something more filling, teen boys like him have a hollow leg.”

The kid wrinkles his nose. “Like Vernie with the pizza bagels?”

“Like your cousin, yes. We can make some cinnamon rolls and take them to his memorial, maybe bring some of the apples from your grandpa’s garden…”

The hero is pretty much forgotten as the two-part family wanders off, not quite intentionally forgetting the hero is there so much as the hero somewhat accidentally ended the conversation when they just froze and didn’t ask anything further.

Not that the hero didn’t want to. But they’d learn something very serious.

One—there was a small town hero they’d never heard of. Two—that hero was apparently a teen. Third—most pressingly, the teen hero was both beloved enough to have kids dressing up as him and dead enough to have a grave.

This… might require some phone calls.

please think about this for like 2 seconds.

under what circumstances do we think this non-canon couple might hold hands directly in front of their canon partners. and under what circumstances do we think the canon partners might be okay with this. do we Truly think this is a secret relationship. do we Truly think these guys would sneak around behind their canon partners' backs when all of them are extremely close friends with a high level of trust and commitment to each other.

would assuming that these extremely close friends have actually communicated with one another Exactly The Same Way They Do In The Canon Source Material perhaps cause less despair.....

Finally, a full video with subtitles of that time Fort accepted and failed the challenge to not touch Peat for a day.

God, I adore everything about this. The agony in Fort's face every time he has to hold back. The diabolical glee in Peat's as he unabashedly baits Fort (with, well, himself). The way Fort cannot stay stoic in the face of Peat's teasing. The baby voice Peat uses that makes Fort melt, with that bashful (badly hidden) smile. The way Fort tries to get around the whole challenge by feeding Peat with his mouth, so they're technically not touching (and the knowing, smug grin Peat has on). The tiniest point of contact with just the elbow (and how apt that Peat's wearing the red shirt when Sky does the same thing to Prapai). The way Fort unleashes the most violently affectionate hug at the end when it finally passes midnight.

Hiii First of, I looooove your Dragon Weiss AU and designs for her and he fam. So I was thinking, What would it look like if Whitley (wanting to be a protective baby brother that he is) wanted to intimidate the rest of RBY and showed them his full dragon form, but it doesn't quite work cuz he is fluffy and way smaller compared to his sisters so he looks huggable instead of menacing?

yeah! he is friend shaped! Both schneeblings are absolutely protective of weiss (she suffers a lot in my timeline) (favorite character curse) i think he would be a bit self-conscious of his dragon because he's fluffy. he lets winter do all the intimidating , he does all the verbal threats he wants!!
