There’s something horrifyingly beautiful about Tess’s final moments. In the midst of the most dire chaos, as she waits for her death to come rushing past so she can blow it sky high and give cordyceps a big fuck you one last time, one of the infected stops. It looks at her, really looks. Her own mortality is personified in this infected. It’s death that’s looking at her, and it sees her. She looks her own death in the eye, and the suspense is so high as it approaches. But then, it doesn’t bite her throat out like we all expect it to.

It kisses her. What’s more, it kisses her gently. And I think it was a brilliant choice on the writers part, because it reminded me that the infected aren’t supposed to be evil. Sure, they’re scary as hell, but really, they’re just trying to survive. They’re connected to one another, they can feel each other from miles away. They seek out and want to be close to their own kind, just like the human survivors do. And when they do find each other, they kiss hello.

And after so long apart from a loved one, someone you know and trust with every instinct in your body, wouldn’t you want to kiss them too?

The second part! There's a panel missing here where I was going to show Rachel playing the same piece she played at the wedding for them to dance to in the background, but I wasn't sure what kind of device she'd have?

I'm not sure if smartphones are a thing or if she'd use something like a record player, so I just decided to omit it altogether. Just pretend they have music playing in the background I promise they're not dancing in silence :')

yes absolutely, i imagine that too! conversely, i think mihawk would have a little bit of trouble adjusting his balance and reach with a body missing one arm, as well. it's interesting to think about how they both would be forced to change their fighting style, and whether or not they would exchange swords.

mihawk's been seen using yoru with just one hand so he could probably pull it off with shanks's body. also interesting to think about shanks tripping up on having two arms until he naturally slips into his old fighting style again--or would he? because there's also the question of muscle memory, right? would mihawk's body automatically do things that shanks isn't predisposed to doing, and vice versa?

the other thing i find intriguing about body swapping in one piece is the question of whether or not your haki powers would switch as well. they say haki is spiritual presence, so presumably your haki switches if your spirits switch, but if it's the kind of spirit that's tethered to the presence of the body? then consider mihawk having the strongest conqueror's haki out on the blues, or shanks being able to use observation haki at mihawk's level, practically being able to predict the future--or mihawk, able to counter with shanks's haki-kill technique. food for thought!

Why does everyone to feel the need to prove Their Girl is the canon ship in ffvii. I think the narrative is a lot richer if you acknowledge cloud has deep feelings for both Aerith and Tifa, just like they have for him and each other.

having the hc that minato is ace is incredibly funny sometimes when you think about how ryoji is oh so very bi because it's like. "ah. death stole my ability to be attracted to people," in the same way that ryoji stole minato's eye color and energy level. like wow, thanks ryoji, you just keep finding things to steal from minato!

I would start on my knees, looking up through my lashes with fuck me eyes, softly kissing his fingertips and knuckles, nuzzling the back of his hand affectiontely as I slowly kiss my way to his wrist. I lick his radial pulse before kissing it passionately, sucking and nibbling, feeling it thrum against my tongue. I caress his forearm before giving it the same attention as I did his hand, rubbing my cheeks against it like a needy cat, feeling the rough, coarse hair against my face before I start mouthing along straining muscles. I trace the bulging veins with the tip of my tongue, gliding all the way up until they disappear beneath the inside of his elbow. Then I kiss his brachial pulse, sucking and nipping at the thin skin until I leave my mark before working my way down to his wrist again. I start to suck hungrily at his fingers, starting with his thumb, batting my lashes at him as I clean the salt off his skin, finger after finger, moaning softly until he takes my cue, hoping he'll force at least two digits down my throat so micro tears could wet my lashes as I fight against my gag reflex.

Imagine how I'd worship his hand when he's on the bed. :)
