We love conversions and this one in Kriebsensgatan 16A, Sweden, is a townhouse in the former 1929 building that was built for activities of The Knights Templar. Now, that's unique, and several of the original features are still intact. It has 3bds, 2ba, SEK 8,975,000 / $871,958.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lovely original entrance hall to the unit. Note the original doors.
Tumblr media
Inside you will find a large living room.
Tumblr media
And, look at the pocket doors revealing a mural of the Knights Templar symbol.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bedroom #1 has some funky art.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There's quite a large dining room.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And, a nice kitchen with an original cabinet.
Tumblr media
Up a few stairs is a pantry.
Tumblr media
Stairs to the 2nd & 3rd bedrooms.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The room has a lovely alcove.
Tumblr media
The 3rd bedroom is a little smaller, but it's nice and makes a good guest room.
Tumblr media
And, look at this- the meeting hall is still intact, with the built-in benches, and balcony.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And, at the other end is a stage with the symbol.
Tumblr media
Here's one of the baths.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Huge light and bright basement has a kitchenette and lots of potential.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The unit also has access to a lovely gated courtyard and parking.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Some original plans.

So I haven't thought of a way to end the Lucanis arc with House Dellamorte still in tact and in power BUT I do think that with the combined brain power and sheer determination of Caterina Illario and Rook they will be able to find a way to sort that shit out. It might involve tons of murder, maybe manipulation bribery and/or blood magic but by the maker they've got to keep the two idiot cousins alive somehow

It evolves a lot of squinting in pics, wearing tinted glasses, even indoors (not to mention they look cool ❄️)

That's also why his house (new Mexico) is mostly lit by soft and yellow lights, scones💡 and candles 🕯️even the chandelier.

Man it really just hit me that if the Shadow Dragons existed in a modern our world city just how fast the magisterium and mass media would be out there propagandizing and pushing the narrative that the Shadows are dangerous terrorists who want to overthrow the state (and probably speculate that they intend to implement all kinds of terrible reforms that threaten only the powerful should they succeed). The plight of the resistance.
No doubt the Magisterium on the whole and the Venatori ARE pushing a narrative like that across Tevinter. Probably what your Average Antivan or Nevarran knows about the Shadows IS the propaganda. (Dangerous, Looking to impose their own views on the People of Tevinter by force).
Part of the struggle for Resistance Fighters IS how consolidated and interconnected systems of power are and what that means for how people understand them. Even the Shadows Allies like Dorian or Legatus Mercar aren't doing so openly. The Shadows are dangerous to be affiliated with. The heat Rook takes on the Nesus job probably got them branded the lore appropriate equivalent of domestic terrorist. There is undoubtedly a price on Rook's head in Minrathous. The stakes for any Shadow in getting identified are Very High.
I think if we really saw much of Minrathous outside Dock Town the reaction to the Shadow Dragons would be very different. Rook would probably be very on edge about being recognized.
Rook is infact probably very politically inconvenient for the Mercar family, even if the Mercar's agree with them entirely because of how much resisting oppression from within a system of power is a game of optics.

replaying dragon age inquisition is just an exercise in “the rebel mages would not fucking do that”
#da#my posts#specifically the hostile ones hanging out in the hinterlands for no good reason.#at least they gave the crazy hostile templars a motivation. a really weak one but still. At least they have a goal.#‘kill at mages. don’t gaf about anyone else’ ok. fine.#‘kill everyone you see for some reason. we need to steal their belongings I guess????’ insane. what the hell.#the could have at least done some blood magic about it. it would have been a boring repeat of da2 themes but at least there would be themes?#it’s just so STUPID. especially coming off of a fresh da2 playthrough.#like there’s some dumb stuff in da2 to give you an excuse to fight both mages and templars as generic npcs don’t get me wrong.#but not this much. and unlike da2 you and your companions comment on it as if it makes any sort of sense lol#also I hate that they decided that the chantry explosion killed a bunch of people (which is not supported at all by either the environments#or dialogue of da2 btw. the game is mainly concerned about anders murdering elthina not randos lol)#but that will come in later.#anyway. every note I find in the game from the mages is so insane. just found the area where the templars burned down a house with mages#locked inside. but because both sides have to be bad for dai plot reasons#the mages killed the peasants that lived in the house for damn reason lmao. AFTER robbing them on the road earlier.#insane choices from the writing team on this one.#what were you trying to SAYYYY#like I’m ok with the mages being a bit brutal. that happens in war. but there’s like. reasons? usually?#like as much as orsino turning himself into a flesh beast is insane and weird both-sides-ism plot device.#at least they tried to give him a reason (even if it didn’t make sense in the context of hawke and co absolutely destroying the templars he#was so convinced were going to kill them all)#the hinterlands mages genuinely have no reason to attack random passersby.#ESPECIALLY SINCE IM PLAYING A MAGE.#like?????? hello I am one of you. how the hell do you even know I’m not one of the rebels.#sorry anyway I’m upsetti spaghetti.

rotating the thought of the chantry explosion backfiring on everyone who was affiliated with anders like kinloch hold or fereldan grey wardens. no way the chantry or its most initiative individuals wouldn't put the blame on anyone who was even slightly associated with the cause of the most defiant insult that had ever been inflicted on it. oh they would never leave one of the most lenient circles and the neutral™ organisation that accepts mages in their ranks alone after that

3 and 12 for de riva
3. What was Rook’s life before their faction?
not great! she has some fond memories of growing up with her vashoth parents in rialto, but she was taken away by templars very young (6-7). being one of only two qunari kids in an incredibly andrastian circle didn't make for an amazing upbringing
she tried to track her parents down during the mage-templar war, but their old house had new tenants and no one really had any answers for her except that they'd left not long after she was taken away. she was about 14 at this point with no one to really rely on except the occasional charity of her old neighbours
(un)fortunately some crow guildmasters saw an opportunity in the conflict and started to 'offer shelter' to the younger mages that were left adrift during the rebellion. the ones that seemed like more trouble than they were worth were sold off to tevinter, but ones they saw potential in were brought to crow houses for training
dinara has been with house de riva ever since, and by the time the circles are reinstated by divine victoria (cass) there are dozens of others like her who have been 'recruited' by various crow houses
12. Does Rook have any family? Do they keep in touch?
her parents are alive, and doing well enough! they left for rivain about a year after she was taken to a circle as her mother was pregnant, and they worried another child might be taken away if they stayed
it was probably the right call as her younger brother, meraad, did turn out to be a mage, and he's doing much better than he would've been in antiva. he's about 15 now and informally apprenticed to a seer in the village his parents have settled in
they do get a chance reconnect while dinara's trying to shore up her agreements with the lords of fortune in rivain. it's not quite the warm welcome she'd imagined though, as her parents aren't well pleased that their daughter is unapologetically working as an antivan crow
on the flipside she resents their judgement, given that it was their absence from antiva that left her with nowhere to turn to. the crows were the ones who took her in after all!
