-everyone knows kyotani for his anger and how he doesn’t suck up to people so when they found out he was dating someone they had to assume this someone had the ability to put him in his place and right now that’s just what they needed

“ mad dog-chan you can’t do this not right now“ oikawas voice rang through in annoyance

“ yeah we need you to go in “ iwazumis voice sounded tired as if he was exhausted by trying to convince the boy for the past 5 minutes during their halftime (long timeout)

kyotani grunted as he turned from both of his teammates looking to the wall as he sat on the bench

“ coach seriously — we need him and he’s just on the bench doing nothing “

“ he said he’s tired of you guys only calling him in for 5 minutes and then sitting him back out like an animal— that you use to show off and then send outside when company’s gone “

“ well he’s our secret weapon “ oikawa screamed “ that’s literally what you do “

kyotani grumbled as he rolled his eyes at oikawa who huffed as he moved to turn to the bleachers “ oh forget this he’s not even listening to iwa-chan “

“ well you know what to do flatty-kawa “

“ duh you see i’m doing it iwa-chan”

oikawas hand came up in a wave as he moved to the referee whispering to them as they spoke on the speaker their voices crisp sending a chill through kyotani’s spine

you stood up smiling widely as you jumped your way through the crowd voice heaven sent as you screamed “ that’s me “

moving through people talking sweetly “ oops — sorry — sorry have to go take care of a loose hothead—whoops—you should really watch where you place that drink “

you hopped down the stairs waving at the team and the referee as you came to a stop in front of kyotani who was even more mad than he was initially

“ babe whats up why are they calling me down here again “ you sighed “ it’s only happened five other times and I thought we got past it “

“ they say that like it’s nothing “ kindaichis voice came out small as he rubbed the back of his head

“ kyotani “ you called confused usually he would answer you by now and comply and go play for a little while just to make you happy so you could go sit down on the bench to watch his game closely

“ uh somethings wrong iwa-chan “

“ yeah somethings off he’s not responding to her this time “

“ if anything he looks like he’s gonna snap “

oikawa laughed at his comment “ yeah right y/n ‘ s too nice he’d feel horrible if he snapped at ‘em —they’d probably cry he wouldn’t do it “

oikawas face dropped as he heard the loud voice ring out inside the gym “ GET THE FUCK AWAY FROM ME“

you shuddered at his voice “ your even more fucking annoying than that dumbass over there “

your mouth dropped “ all you do is come down here and bother me everytime and I only go in for you — i’m not doing it this time i’m gonna stand my ground”

he screamed “ they use me for those 5 minutes and then toss me out i’m not doing it — like I said i’m sitting right here on this bench and standing my fucking ground “

your face went up in shock as you felt your body flinch at his voice kyotani and the rest of his team immediately feeling bad at what the whole gym just witnessed everyone listening closely feeling sorry for you

Oikawa moved to glare at kyotani as he walked over to wrap his arms around you “ aw y/n-chan it’s ok to cr— “

“ YOU SCREAM AT ME ONE MORE TIME LIKE THAT AND IM GONNA KNOCK YOUR FUCKING HEAD OFF WITH THE BAT MY DAD WACKS INTRUDERS AT HIS STORE WITH “ your screams came out louder than his as you stared down at the boy in front of you

“ I don’t care if you go out there and wipe the floor down with fucking towels or scrape it clean with a toothbrush but your going out on that court kentaro“

your voice was stern “ you better be glad they even give you 2 seconds on that court you love so much with your shitty attitude —if it was me i’d make you a bench rider the whole season while you watch shittykawa smirk at you everytime he goes up for a set that you won’t get “ your screams catching the whole gym off gaurd

Kyotani’s body shaking at your tone “ kentaro “ you spoke his name like a curse as he jolted and race to stand in his position on the court head never turning back to look at you again as you continued

“ You will score everytime you go up for that ball — everytime you hit something or come in contact with it— I want a point on that board do you hear me“

you moved to fix your clothes as you stared at everyone in the crowd “ everytime my boyfriends feet leave that ground you better clap your asses off do you hear me “

everyone shook their heads in a yes motion afraid of you and how such a big yell could come from such a small person

You smiled at the team before you took your seat on the bench near the coach who read off all his plans for kyotani that hed never listened to

“ oh trust me we’ll do that plan “ you said as you shook your head ignoring all the whispers from the males around you

“ do they know the game doesn’t start back up again until 5 minutes from now “ mattsukawas voice came out in concern

“ I —uh I don’t think they care “

“ oikawa what’s wrong with you “ iwazumi turned to see oikawas face made up in a frown as he sulked

-oikawa never liked losing especially when it was to someone younger than him someone he didn’t like so you can imagine his anger when he lost to Karasuno

-no one expected the hallway to erupt in his screams so soon

he took a deep breath as he shook his head in annoyance moving to walk off you standing in front of him stopping his exit

his voice sounded bloody by his screams that sounded throughout the hallway his team coming in to check and see if everything was ok receiving their answer when they turned the corner to you taking over

“ the only thing that made you lose this game was you asshole “

your voice was laced with venom as you shot at him screaming constantly “ you and your shitty need to keep working endlessly maybe if you didn’t have a hurt knee — oh wait howd you get that “

When I Was Your Man || A Ralbert One Shot

a/n - hello! so basically this one shot is a College Newsies AU where Racetrack and Albert broke up and Race started dating Spot :'). it's about ralbert though?? so it's like- okay its from alberts POV and it's based on When I Was Your Man so yeah :D (all lyrics from the song will be in bold and italicized),, i'll only be writing the chorus once <3

same bed but it feels just a little bit bigger now

Albert didn't sleep well at night, if he even slept at all. His bed was empty. The same bed that he had slept in since the beginning of college. But it wasn't his bed, it was their bed. At least, it used to be theirs. Now, it was just his, but he couldn't accept that it was only his.

But at one point, it was theirs. Him and Racetrack, it was once their bed. Even if it was only his, Albert could swear that Race's body was still outlined in the cushion of his bed.

The bed used to be so small, too small for the two of them. They cuddled together to keep each other from falling off. But now it was huge. He had no-one to roll over to in the morning, he was alone.

He couldn't even sleep on the right side of the bed. That was Race's side. Even if Race hadn't slept on the bed for a long time, even if he would never sleep on the bed again. That was his side, not Alberts.

And often times he would lay awake in bed, staring at the ceiling. He would reach over to the right for his boyfriends- ex-boyfriends hand. But it wasn't there. He reached over and was met with sheets and pillows.

So he didn't sleep, because he had no-one to sleep with and his bed was too big to sleep in. And he stayed awake until the next morning when he got into his car and drove from his apartment to the school.

Not even in his car did he get peace. It wasn't his car, it was Race's car. Race had picked it out, he liked the color. And it smelled like Race's cologne and it held memories of Race in each dent of the leather seats.

So he sold the car. He got a new car, his own car. But even with the smell of Race gone, with his memories in the seats gone. The radio in the new car betrayed Albert.

our song on the radio but it don't sound the same

The car radio had one station, and Albert could swear that the station only had one playlist they played each day. Because every day, and it never missed one day, it would play their song. The song they first danced to. So Albert turned off the radio, and he never turned it on. Even when friends begged him to play music, the radio staid off and he played music from his quiet phone.

Every day, Albert showed up to school exhausted. He nearly passed out in class. Lunch was the only time he ever slept. Everyone assumed he didn't get sleep due to his hard classes, which couldn't be farther from the truth. He didn't do his work. He couldn't pay attention in class, not with Race there.

when our friends talk about you, all it does is just tear me down

"You really lucked out being with him, Al," Jack said.

Romeo agreed and added onto the comment, "Kelly's right. He's gorgeous. And a genius too. Too smart for his own good."

Albert raised his head from his arms with a desperately sad look. He sighed and shook his head, "I told you guys. I know we broke up a while ago, but it still hurts, okay?" He rested his head back into his arms and closed his eyes tightly. His heart ached with every comment. He knew Race was gorgeous. He knew Race was a genius. He knew so much about him, yet he didn't know him enough to keep him happy.

"Sorry, man. Forgot," Jack mumbled. Romeo muttered something of an apology and scratched at his neck.

"I know you hate school activities," Romeo started, "But you should come to the party tonight. Dance a little, I think it'll cheer you up."

Albert sighed and tried not to think about why dancing would be hard for him. He looked up and pushed his hair out of his face, "I'll come."

'cause my heart breaks a little when i hear your name

"Race!" Spot called from the couch. The music boomed and Spots voice was quiet, but Albert heard the name anyways. He immediately turned to the boy.

Spot grinned as Race made his way over to him. Race plopped into his lap and smiled back as he hugged the boy. Alberts eyes widened and his chest ached.

Even just hearing Race's name hurt Albert, brought back a wave of memories. Each yell of Race's name when he did something dumb, each fond laugh of the name when he complimented him, each whine of Racetrack's name when he bugged Albert too much. He missed it all.

it all just sounds like ooh, ooh, hoo

Jack and Romeo were definitely talking to Albert, but he couldn't hear anything they were saying. The music sounded like gibberish and he couldn't think. All he could do was stare at the couple on the couch and ache at the sight.

mm, too young, too dumb to realize, that i should have bought you flowers

Albert watched as Race giggled at the flower Spot offered him. Spot smiled and put the small yellow flower behind Race's ear. The stem stuck between his ear and his head whilst the bud pointed outwards.

The years that they dated, Albert and Race were young and naive. He didn't know how to be romantic or how to make Race happy. No matter how hard he tried.

"I should've bought him flowers," He sighed. Jack and Romeo shared a knowing glance before pushing Albert to sit down on the couch.

and held your hand

"I mean," Albert continued, "I was too insecure to do anything with him." They didn't even hold hands in public, because Albert was scared. Scared of what society would think.

should have gave you all my hours, when i had the chance

Albert and Race had started dating their first year of college. Albert was constantly busy with classes. He was always doing work and stressing about class.

Anytime Race would make an attempt to spend time with him, he shut it down.

"I'm doing work," He would say, "You should be doing work, too."

He wanted to do well, get a good job, find a good home, start a family. But all of that was dumb. It was pointless. To hell with it all if we didn't get to come back from his job to see Race. Because Race was his home and he didn't want to start a family with anyone else.

take you to every party 'cause all you wanted to do was dance

"Al!" Race would whine and grab at his arm, "Dance with me, please. Just for a little bit."

Albert never did dance with him. No matter how much he asked, he refused to do so. He couldn't, he needed to get good grades. He needed to provide.

"We can dance later," He would say.

The usual response he would get was, "Promise?" But one day, he received a different answer, "There isn't going to be a later. Not for us, Albert."

now my baby's dancing, but he's dancing with another man

Race pulled Spot up from the couch. They smiled as they moved together to the middle of the room. The music vibrated around them as the two danced.

Albert watched from the camp as he shook his leg. He took in a deep and quaking breath before stumbling out of the house. He threw his cup to the side and gulped in a large breath.

my pride, my ego, my needs, and my selfish ways, caused a good strong man like you to walk out my life

"What do you mean their won't be a later for us, Racer?" Albert had asked, finally looking up from his studies.

Race had scoffed, "Oh, of course! That's what gets you to look me in the eye, huh?" He had rolled his eyes, "We're done, Al. I can't do this anymore, can't do us. Okay? You're so god damn selfish. You only do what's best for you. Ever think about what's best for us, huh? Do you ever even think about me?"

"Of course I think about you, Race. You're all I ever think about," Al had stuttered out.

"Sure," Race had laughed sourly, "I just wanted to fucking dance, Albert. You wouldn't even do that with me. I'm leaving." With that, Race had grabbed all of his stuff and walked out of the apartment.

now i never, never get to clean up the mess i made, oh. and that haunts me every time i close my eyes

Albert closed his eyes when he left the house. Their breakup flashed behind his eyelids and he choked out a sob. He fell to his knees on the grass.

"God damnit," He weakly hit the grass beneath him, "I could've fixed it. I could- Could've. But- Spot. I can't fix it anymore."

although it hurts, i'll be the first to say that i was wrong

He shook his head, "Race was right. I never thought about him." And his stomach twisted with that realization.

Albert has thought he was thinking about Race, about their future together. But it was never about Race, it was about him. He needed to good grades, Racer didn't. Everything that happened was his fault, and he knew that.

oh, i know i'm probably much too late, to try and apologize for my mistakes

He took a deep breath before falling back to sit down on the grass. The door opened and a boy with curly blonde hair sat down next to him.

Race gave Albert a sad smile.

"I'm not going to say sorry," Albert started, "Because that won't make up for anything. I was wrong, about everything." Race nodded.

"Al," Race said quietly.

Albert shook his head with a small grin, "Don't. Go get, Spot. Be happy. Go love the boy who you want to see when you get home from long work days, okay? Love him the way I love you." He paused, "Not the way I treated you, but the way I feel about you. I know it didn't seem like it. But I love you."

Race smiled and gave Albert a pat on the cheek, "I loved you too."

That was the sad tragedy of their relationship.

Albert was in love with Race. Race had been in love with Albert.

They loved each other at different times. But Albert could accept the pain of being in love with a boy would didn't love him back, because even though Race was in love with someone else, he was happy. And that's all Albert wanted, because Race deserved to be happy.

General

Oh my godddddddddd

They had to stop doing movie nights because there was too much fighting

They tried to set it up such that everyone got a turn to pick a movie but there were still complaints

Now, movies are viewed at random and the policy is that

1. The TV is first come first serve

2. You have to announce when you’re using it

3. Anyone is allowed to join you

This has stemmed into multiple people shouting “IM WATCHING _____” at random times

And yes, people will try to hide the remote (mostly Sean)

If they can find it, that is

The lines between public and private property have been blurred. Everything must be labeled or there is a chance someone will take it

You can risk it, but it’s not recommended since they’re all dudes and will most likely eat anything

And even with your name on a box of graham crackers, there’s still a chance someone will stick their hand it in and steal a few

All the dudes walk around in their Long Johns like it’s not awkward

They have to do their own laundry so everyone is missing socks

Or they have extras

And wet laundry is constantly being left on the ground if it’s unattended and someone needs the washer

Arthur

This dude double dips

He licks the spoon and puts it back in, too

Gets yelled at a lot for this, but never remembers to stop

Everybody is afraid to touch all of the dips now because of this

And Hosea has to start buying separate ones just for Arthur

He’s the one who takes 3 hour baths

I imagine that there’s multiple bathrooms in the house but not enough for everyone so there are definitely times when people are like “WTF, Arthur you’re still in there?” or “Where’s Arthur?”

Usually it’s Charles or John because they don’t mind sharing a bathroom with each other

Cue Arthur having accidentally fallen asleep in the tub

But yea he’s just chilling in there, otherwise

Started the quarantine off by trying to fix up the house… But immediately got lazy

There’s probably a number of things he keeps saying that he’ll “get to, eventually”

The only reason Dutch hasn’t called someone is because it’s a PANDEMIC

Technologically challenged

Barely knows how to turn on the TV and still uses an iPhone 5 that has pretty much stopped working

John has given up trying to explain how to make things fullscreen on YouTube

Because of this, probably spends most of his time wandering around the yard and reading or journaling

Tilly even bought him some scrapbooking supplies, which he’s been trying to use

Little washi tapes and highlighters because she knows it can’t get too complicated too fast

She also makes him an Instagram account so he can take photos or post art

But figuring out how it works is a losing battle, and he never remembers to use it, anyway

“I think we should get a pet”

Everyone: “Arthur... Do we look like we take care of ourselves?

If anyone tries to talk about how annoying the quarantine is, starts ranting about people who refuse to take it seriously

And the conversation ends up spiraling into him blaming capitalism for everything

John

Every other meal he eats is a peanut butter and jelly sandwich or Doritos

He does that thing where he wraps a bowl or plate in plastic wrap so he doesn’t have to wash it

Doesn’t clean up after himself

Leaves used tissues, slimy butter knives with PB on them, and crusty socks laying around

Unluckiest of them all

His snacks get taken the most, the bathroom is always occupied when he needs it, never gets to use the TV, his laundry is always moved, etc.

Always ends up using the bathroom when there’s no toilet paper

Texts Arthur for help and then makes an announcement in the group chat about “common courtesy”

Nobody replies

His texts are full of messages to Abigail that all say the same thing

“Help.” + “Please come get me” + “I hate it here”

They’re all left on read except for the occasional response asking if he needs anything from Target

The list he sends back is like four paragraphs long and it’s all dumb stuff

He’s like “FaceTime me when you get there, I wanna go shopping too”

Doesn’t even really want to leave the house for necessities, so he has to do stuff like water down his soaps or steal other people’s toiletries just to prolong how often he needs to go shopping for himself

He’s the one using Irish Spring from the dollar store mixed with water or a block of orange Dial soap that hasn’t been touched in five years

Charles tries to throw away an empty hand soap and John is like “THERE’S STILL SOAP IN THERE LOOK” *mixes water with it*

Steals razors and Shampoo

Thinks conditioner is “unnecessary” and “doesn’t do anything”

Complains about being bored but doesn’t bother to do the things people that people offer

Charles

Voluntarily becomes a recluse

Not because he wants to but because everyone else is too annoying to deal with

He’s forced to start using the internet and when he’s not on the computer he’s trying to block out the noise of the 8 other men he lives with just living

Going on walks is his other hobby

Also probably buys one of those adult coloring books to color

Like Athur, Charles hogs the bathroom

It’s not as bad as Arthur since he’s not in the tub for the whole time but he really will spend an hour getting ready in the morning for absolutely no reason

If anyone asks about it he just tells them that since they’re in quarantine there’s no reason to rush

But he does get yelled at if there’s no other bathrooms available

Becomes a self-care connoisseur

Walks around in a bathrobe and face mask just to try and achieve some sort of zen

Literally the only one who doesn’t walk around half naked

Besides Hosea, the one of the only guys who tries to wake up on time and eat three healthy meals a day

The house is entirely dark and he’s eating toast while Hosea makes coffee

It’s awkward, not because they’re weird about each other but because no one else is awake and it’s quiet for once

Dutch is the third person up and Charles leaves the kitchen by the time he’s around

Gave up trying to do the dishes and only cleans what he uses

Sometimes if he feels like being nice he’ll do Arthur’s dishes, too

But only if he gets something back in return, like Arthur doing his laundry or something

The only one who changes his bedsheets on the regular

Him and Kieran are the only ones trusted by Hosea to leave the house safely

Micah

Everyone is surprised Micah isn’t dead yet

Everyone is constantly fed up with him for something or for just being irritating

And try to ignore him for the most part, which is hard

Tries to defends himself with “Well, you don’t have to bother me if you don’t want to��

Doesn’t clean up after himself, either

John leaves more mess, but Micah does worse stuff

While John just leaves his dirty peanut butter knives around, Micah does stuff like forget to put the mayo back in the fridge, leave the bread bag out and open, forgets to bring his used dishes to the dishwasher, throws his trash in other people’s trash cans, leaves his wet laundry in the dryer, etc.

If it’s annoying and gross, he does it

And tries to eat food that other people have made for themselves or don’t want to share with him

Dutch is the only one who shares with him willingly

Does not pick up his hair from the bottom of the shower

And doesn’t clean the sink after he shaves

Honestly, I doubt any of the drains in the house work properly because so much shaving goes on

It’s honestly surprising to everyone that he takes the quarantine seriously

Accuses people of being sick even though all of them have barely left the house…

Wears a mask inside when he’s feeling salty

He doesn’t even care about the mask, it’s just to make people feel gross and bad about themselves

Besides Sean, he’s always trying to hog the TV

And everything he watches is annoying, pretentious, or both

Complains about there being “nothing to watch” despite always having something on and refusing to stop

Tries to smoke inside and literally always get busted for it

Even if other people are doing it too, he’s the one who doesn’t even bother to be by a window when he does it

His room is always off limits

If you need something from him you need to knock and wait in the doorway

Also does the “You’re too close… Step back, please” thing

And if anyone gets mad, says it’s a pandemic and he’s just trying to be SAFE

Mostly does this to feel powerful

Turns in to Uncle Jr. with all the complaining and berating he does

Uncle is honestly offended

Hosea

The only person allowed to do the shopping

He gave up trying to give people lists because the groceries they came back with were never right

Either too few, too many, not the right stuff... You name it

That’s why, despite being the oldest, he’s the one who goes grocery shopping for meals twice a week

Refuses to buy alcohol because of incidents that they’ve had

Can’t stop people from sneaking it, though

Similar to Dutch in that he gets annoyed when people oversleep, but because its quarantine, he tries to not mention it, and at the worst, gets passive aggressive

Tries to make a chore chart for people to follow but it gets ignored

He ends up having to force people to do things by reminding them constantly

He’s the one who starts opening people’s doors in the morning and turning on the lights

Makes everybody start eating on paper plates with plastic silverware because he’s tired of trying to make people use the dishwasher

Arthur doesn’t know how, John doesn’t put his plates in the right place, Charles refuses to since no one else contributes to keeping it neat, Micah doesn’t even know they have one, Kieran also can’t fill it correctly...

Basically, it’s too much for Hosea to handle

His dinners are all Costco pre-made meals that can be made quickly

Frozen lasagna and prepackaged salad type stuff

He’s the guy who falls asleep on the couch sitting up while watching TV and if you try to talk to him he says “I’m awake” without opening his eyes

And if he’s using it, don’t even think about suggesting to change the channel

The answer is and always will be no

Even when he’s not really paying attention

And it’s either on the History Channel or Discovery Channel

Always complaining about how cold his feet are

Doesn’t let anyone touch the thermostat

He’s an in real life Elf on the Shelf

Dutch

If anyone, and I mean anyone starts sleeping in, he gets in a really pissy mood

“While I’m up, doing work for you, you’re sitting in bed being lazy!!!” and “What do you mean you don’t understand why! Why should I have to tell you why wasting the day is annoying to all those who are working!”

Even despite this, he can’t actually change the fact that no one wakes up on time

And it’s not like the work he’s doing for them is very important

He’s the one who thinks that a pandemic is the perfect time to be or do something useful

Eat healthy, write a book, pump iron… Anything

And when people complain about being useless he’s like “You have all this free time!!!1! Stop complaining!!! You can do anything!!!”

And if he’s doing something he considers useful, yells at people who try to bother him

Arthur: “Hosea wanted to know-”

Dutch: *doing sit ups* “CAN’T YOU SEE I’M BUSY?”

When it’s his turn to cook dinner, he’s making 8 boxes of Trader Joe’s mac and cheese in a huge pot and calling a meal

Literally the only meal no one complains about

He won’t clean the pot when it’s finished, though

Literally just cooks and leaves it out for someone else to deal with

Another self-care aficionado

Also walks around in a bathrobe and face mask

He’s worse than Charles though, because while Charles wears pants... Dutch will be booty ass naked under his

Also keeps trying to make homemade masks and scrubs and walks around in those, too

He’s like “This is a good one, I can tell already”

Everyone: “Dutch... is that... mayo... in your hair?”

Annoyingly good at monopoly

Does not invite Molly over and gets yelled at over FaceTime

Cue everyone eavesdropping on their arguments

Goes on power walks

Yells at people when they listen to loud music with swear words

Honestly, always yelling at people

“Can somebody get me my slippers? Arthur? John? Hosea? AnYoNe!!!”

Spends the least time in the bathroom because he’s afraid of getting yelled at

Does everything in five minute increments

Except for showers, when he allows himself ten minutes

Most of what he eats is just microwave popcorn and shredded cheese

He’s the one asking people if they want to go on “family walks” with him

Literally no one joins him

Also tries to play board games with everyone

This goes a little better at least because Hosea will sometimes play and if he’s there, a few people will definitely join

Very bad at monopoly

The most conscious about wearing a mask

The others wear them but Kieran is the one who wears double masks, gloves, and carries around Febreeze

Also will get mad if anyone forgets their “safety equipment”

Or if they’re within six feet of him in public

Props to him though for staying healthy

I’ve mentioned this before, but... Spends most of his time playing games on a big tablet wearing headphones

Candy Crush and FarmVille and Words with Friends and stuff like that

Though all of his internet friends are weird old ladies he doesn’t know

Everyone is mad at him for sending non-stop game notifications, too

Hosea is the only one who responds to any of them

He’ll never admit this, though

Also tries to start doing arts and crafts

Mary-Beth started telling him about the various crafts she’s been doing, so he’s started trying to follow along, too

Things like crocheting or popsicle stick art

His stuff all looks bad, but he’s just happy to be doing it

And to be FaceTiming Mary-Beth

When he gets to choose a movie, he’s picking a “family-friendly” movie like Inside Out or Lilo and Stitch

Everyone starts out being mad but they all end up watching the whole thing without complaining

Heated debates ensue, too

For example, like about whether Flynn should’ve cut Repunzel’s hair in Tangled

“YOU’RE GONNA LOOK AT ME AND TELL ME THAT I’M WRONG?”

Charles + Arthur vs. Dutch + Bill

Makes meatloaf or Hamburger Helper like once a week

They’re basically the only thing he knows how to make

Sides with Arthur when he suggests getting a pet

Wears a Snuggie

Doesn’t change his socks

Javier

Plays his own music very loudly and won’t turn it off or down if you ask

Either that or he’s practicing guitar

It’s not really that bad but when you can’t escape it.... People get mad

The only saving grace is that the singing is usually in Spanish so it’s not as bothersome

The door to his room is always closed

Refuses to open it

To talk to him, you have to knock and then he’ll exit

Dutch is the only one allowed in and he thinks Javier’s rules about entering are creepy so never does it

Javier cooks his own food and won’t share

Only makes enough for exactly one person so even if he wanted to, there’s not enough

Eats dinner in his room to prevent people from bothering him or asking for some

However, he has the biggest stash of quarantine snacks…

No one knows where he gets them

And getting him to share is like trying to do a drug deal, but he’s not against it as long as he gets something in return

He didn’t personally cook all these snacks so the rules are different

His room is full of scented candles to make it smell better since the whole house kinda smells like Boy

Buys a gamer chair at the start of quarantine

Claims it’s more comfortable than the office chair that Dutch and Hosea chose for everyone

Everyone is jealous

Wears fuzzy pajama pants only

Sean

Sean is the one sleeping in

Never sleeps in his bed and just falls asleep wherever, basically

Usually the couch

Because he’s always snoozing, he’s the one who watches the most TV

Micah claims this isn’t “fair,” despite doing the same thing

And even if he’s not watching TV, he’s just using the couch to watch Tik Toks full volume

Tries to make his own Tik Toks, but they either stink or no one wants to participate

Constantly having people get mad at him for recording them

Stopped wearing clothes the moment quarantine started

Always in a tank top and his underpants

It’s kinda weird

People cared at first but by now they can’t be bothered to complain since they’re

1. Used to it

2. Probably start doing the same thing

Leaves his laundry laying around

Also won’t share anything he’s eating

Gets mad when people steal food

Doesn’t address anyone in particular though, just walks around yelling about how “nobody has the common decency not to steal”

Has food delivered almost every other day

No one knows where he’s getting the money from, either

Everyone think it’s a waste

Mostly because he doesn’t share, but also because all hell broke loose when Hosea found out about an expense called “delivery fees”

Also has a stick up his ass about wasting food

Started yelling about this randomly, too

If he can’t force someone else to finish leftovers, he forces himself to finish them

Probably gets caught watching a certain type of nasty video a lot

Lowkey it probably happens to everybody at least once

Yells at anti-maskers

Tries to wrestle the other boys and gets his ass handed to him

Bill

Possessive of everything

Usually he’s not this bad but being cooped up with a bunch of thieves and liars doesn’t make him confident that his Circus Animal cookies will last very long

Doesn’t share anything and very adamant about making sure there’s labels on things so nothing gets mixed up

Also makes his own space in the fridge with tape

BILL’S SPACE DO NOT TOUCH

And will start yelling in anything is moved

Not as bad as Sean though because he only cares about his own stuff

The whole thing is super hypocritical though, because he definitely steals other people’s stuff

If he gets caught, claims “it’s only fair”

Hosea has to buy him soap because he won’t buy it himself

Definitely the one who learns how to make prison hooch with cranberry juice and yeast

And the one who eats all of the ice cream

Even the nasty flavors

Wears the same clothes everyday because since he’s not working, “they’re not dirty”

They start getting holes in them, though

If anyone tries to suggest something for him to do, he gets mad and claims he “knows how to entertain himself”

Also constantly accusing people of being in his space or business

Ends up starting a ton of fights over this and then complaining about how mean everyone is to him

He’s not doing it on purpose, though

Ends up buying some kind of gaming console to pass the time

If he buys an Xbox, he shares with the rest of the boys

If he buys a nintendo switch, he starts playing Animal Crossing and doesn’t put it down for weeks

Out of everyone… He’s the one who takes the pandemic the least serious

He follows the rules because he doesn’t want to be eaten alive by any of the boys, but he probably thought the virus was a hoax at first

He learned his lesson the first time he tried to go out without a mask and got locked in the car, though

Forgets to flush the toilet

His room is dirty

Ashton’s eyes light up as he watches you walk in the room. It was a big night for him and he was so happy to have you and the guys be apart of it. He was accepting his 5 years sober chip.

It hadn’t been easy, he didn’t come home and everything was fixed. There were more slip ups.

You guys fought. A lot. Especially in the beginning, with the counselor, and you’d had to find a new one. They’d encouraged you to give him a kid when you didn’t feel it was right because they thought it’d help his recovery.

He went on a four day bender with alcohol when you’d adamantly said no, and he almost got himself moved back into Calum’s. But he came home and told you all about it, took a shower and then an Uber to a meeting.

He was going daily for a while. It was hard to be sober when most parts of your career are drinking or have drinks involved.

But at the end of most days, even the hardest ones, you two talked it out and went to bed together, he’d wrap you in his arms and tell you he loved you. He never wanted you to feel otherwise.

And you were pretty much always on tour with him now, the one he could depend on to keep him straight.

You didn’t mind. As long as he was healthy and happy and not using, you could deal. And he’d let you off the hook a lot too, spending the night playing games with Mikey so you, Luke, and Cal could go have a few drinks.

“Mike?” Ash asked, on one of those nights. “Do you think, while we were separated, that she ever saw anyone else?”

“Uh… guess I never really thought about it. She like disappeared for 3 months though.” He shrugged. “I dunno, Crys and I were so busy with the baby, that I don’t think either of us ever even texted her back after she congratulated us.” He bit his lip, “Cal would probably be the one to know.”

“Yeah… but I’m also afraid it might have been Cal… so would he really tell me?”

“I don’t think you should sell Cal short. He loves you so much, otherwise he wouldn’t have put up with all your bullshit. I really truly believe them when they say they’ve never done anything. I think you should too, and I think you should stop trying to accuse them of that.” Mike defended you, because he was sick of hearing it.

“I know you’re right.” Ash nodded.

“Besides… what good does it do you now to know that? If she did, it might upset you, even though you did too, and if she didn’t it also might upset you because you feel guilty or something. I just don’t see this as serving a purpose.” He shrugged.

“Yeah I get it. I just… sometimes feel like she’s keeping something from me.”

“Even if she is, I promise you there’s a reason for it, and I’d bet she doesn’t want to hurt you or it won’t affect you at all.”

“Mike… was I ever bad to her in front of you?” He asked.

“Only at the baby shower. You’d been off with her, like you’d been with us… but you never gave any indication of doing the things I know you did.” He shrugged.

“Hmm… I think I’m gonna go to bed, just in a weird headspace.”

“You gonna be alright dude?” Mike asked.

“Yeah. Just gonna get some sleep. You’re right.” He nodded.

You found him freshly showered and in bed with your laptop when you got back. “Hey babe,” you’d greeted.

“Hey… sorry,” he noticed you looking at your laptop, “mines dead and I wanted to watch something on Netflix.”

“That’s ok babe.”

Ash watched you for a minute before going back to the laptop. “D’you have fun?” He asked.

“Yeah. You?” You asked, disappearing to brush your teeth.

“Not really.” He admitted.

You came back out when your face was clean and teeth brushed, “what’s wrong?”

“I just… weird headspace.” He shrugged.

“Wanna talk about it babe?” You got on the bed next to him.

“Did you ever see anyone else?” He asked, not able to look you in the eye.

“When we were separated?” You clarified. He nodded and you took a minute to think back. “Not really. I mean I had drinks with one guy but it was never more than that. I was just… focused on you, and me and figuring out what us not together meant. It was a really tough time for me Ash. I barely saw the guys and I honestly didn’t want to. I wanted to figure out what it’d be like to lose all of you.”

“You never would have lost all of us.” He disagrees.

“Ash, after everything. I’d have needed a clean break. Because Cal or Luke would have always talked about you and how you’re doing, and I couldn’t bring myself to stop caring.” You sigh, “it would have been too much.” You admit.

It’s the first time in a long time Ash saw how truly vulnerable you were.

“I really almost fucked up the best thing that ever happened to me because I was so fucking selfish, all I could think about was me.” He gently touched your face.

You sighed, and kissed his palm, and then turned the lamp off next to the bed and tried to go to sleep.

But you barely did. Ash had no problem.

You were up and out of bed early, packing your stuff to get back on the bus. Ash was up an hour later than you and he looked at you, moving quietly around the room, getting dressed. He slipped out of bed and wrapped his arms around you from behind, kissing your cheek.

“I’m gonna meet Cal for breakfast, do you want me to bring you anything?” You asked.

“Um, am I not invited?” He checked.

“I’m meeting him in about 5 minutes. So unless you can get showered and packed in five minutes… don’t think you’re going to make it.” You shrug.

“You coulda woke me up.” Is all he said, getting in the shower.

But honestly, you didn’t want to, you wanted to talk to Cal alone, you needed to get out of the bad headspace Ash put you in before bed or it was going to be a long day.

You met Cal and his security on the elevator, they ask if Ash is joining because they’d want to get his guys, but you let them know that he wasn’t joining you. You dropped your bags at the bus, and then headed to the cafe around the corner.

“Talked to Mike last night,” Cal started, “said Ash asked him if he thought you and I saw each other while you were separated. And honestly baby, I’m so fucking tired of that question.” He groaned.

“Yeah, tell me about it.” You sighed. “I’m tired of constantly defending myself to him… I feel like he still looks for reasons to do this. He did it all the time when he was using.”

And that sparked a huge fight among the band.

Cal climbed in the bus after breakfast, you were right behind him, Luke let you know they were waiting on Ashton.

“Did you enjoy breakfast with my wife?” Ash asked, passing by you guys, to his bunk.

“What? No. We’re not doing this anymore.” Cal says. He follows Ash and pushes him into the back lounge, kicking Mike out, pushing him back toward where you and Luke are standing. “Fuck you Ash.” You all can hear him, and you’ve honestly never seen Cal this way before. “You’re wife loves you, I fucking love you, you’re my brother and I’d never do anything like that to you and neither would she. And I’m fucking sick of this. We don’t fucking deserve this Ash. Do you realize you put all of us through hell? Every single one of us has had to put up with something stupid, or idiotic with you and you just keep coming back to the same fucking thing with me and your wife and guess the fuck what? We don’t want anything from each other except friendship, the friendship we already are very happily involved in. I’m so fucking tired of this. She’s tired of this. Why the fuck do you think she needs a fucking friend, someone close that knows what’s going on? I’m just… im fucking done.” Cal says, storming out of the back without ever letting Ash say a word.

The friendship remained strained for awhile. Cal and Ash really didn’t speak for at least a few weeks. And then Ashton takes you both out to dinner to talk.

He starts with an apology and Cal just rolls his eyes, he doesn’t want to hear it.

“Cal. Seriously, just hear me out man. I know. I’ve been ridiculous with this. I just… I think I needed to find to a reason to deserve you two. Because I don’t feel like I do right now, and if you guys had been less than amazing then maybe I would…”

“Don’t do that. Don’t blame us. You fucked up Ash. We just did what we could to support you. This is a you problem. Me, and you’re amazing, patient wife, who has given up her life to help you, have done nothing but support you Ash, literally changed our fucking lives, and to pay us back you constantly accuse us of hooking up behind your back and you come here with the audacity to insinuate that we have something to do with it.”

Cal folds his arms over his chest and you let out a sigh. You frown at Ash and push away from the table, you briefly look at Cal, “I want to go home. Like LA home. I don’t wanna do this anymore.”

“Baby?” Ash asked.

“I can’t anymore. I’m exhausted Ash. I’m going home.” You left, walked out and got in a cab.

You were gone and so was your stuff when he got back to the hotel.

You only texted to let him know when you made it back to the states. You made it a point to answer at least 1 phone call a week and 2 texts a day. But you knew things needed to wait, and you needed a break. And Ash respected that. You’d been cooped up together for months on end, and you needed the space.

“Hey.” He drops his bag in the laundry room and comes to the kitchen where you were making dinner when he got home.

“Hi.” You greet.

He came around the counter and pulled you into a hug, “missed you on the end of the tour, I know Calum did too.” He kissed your cheek and then pulled away, and you pull him back in for a kiss. “I was honestly expecting divorce papers.” He explains.

“Well it crossed my mind the first few days. I won’t lie.” You turn back to dinner, “I was really mad when I left and tired and frustrated. Touring is your lifestyle, not mine and I was… just done. But after I got home and spent time around the house I realized that was rash.” You sigh, “but I never want that accusation to cross your lips again. I swear to god Ash, I will divorce you.”

“You know that’s the first time you’ve ever verbalized that threat? I mean, I’ve always known it was a possibility, but you’ve never said it.”

“Do you ever think, like, I could have chosen Cal if I wanted Cal, you know that? I had my opportunities. But it’s you Ash, it’s always been you. But I can’t make you see that. Cal can’t make you see it… I’m at my wits end with this.”

“I hear you, baby, I do.” Ash nods. “I’m… it’s off the table. Cal kinda read me the riot act about it too.”

“Good.” You’re quiet a moment, “you guys good?”

“Yeah, we are.” He nods, “so… are we? I mean I know we aren’t right now, but will we be?” He checks.

“Yes. I think we will be.” You nod. And then you’re quiet for a while. “Made your favorite.”

“I know. You always do.” He smiles.

And that brought you to year three sober. Year 4 was relatively unremarkable. You were proud of Ashton, absolutely, but you could tell he was getting antsy.

Luke and his girlfriend had a one year old, Mike and Crystal went everywhere with two toddlers, and Calum and his girlfriend had just gotten another dog, rounding their herd out to 4.

Luckily, you had a surprise for him tonight, after getting his five year chip.

The speech his sponsor gave the group was nothing short of inspired, and it made you even more proud.

Cal approaches you about half way through the party, “have you said anything?” He asks.

“No, I’m letting him do his thing. I’ll tell him in a bit.” You shrug.

“You look proud.” He smiles softly at you.

“I’m very proud. He’s worked so hard.” You agree.

“He has, he has. But don’t discount yourself here baby. You’ve also worked hard.” Cal reminds you. He wraps his arm around your shoulder and kisses the side of your head.

Ash finally makes his way to you and shows you his chip with a big grin on his face. “I’m so proud of you Ash.” You grin, pulling him into a hug.

“Thanks baby.” He pulls out of the hug and grins at you. “I love you.”

“I love you.” You smile, “and I need to tell you something.” You see worry flash in his eyes and you gently squeeze his hand. “It’s ok baby. I’m pregnant.” You say quietly.

“Wait what?!” He asks, completely shocked. “I’m gonna… we’re… baby?”

“You’re gonna be a dad. I’m 14 weeks.” He holds his hand over his mouth like he might cry, and you just lean up and kiss his cheek. “Tell everyone when you want, this is obviously a very important milestone, but I know you’ve wanted this and it seemed like the right time.”

He nods and turns to face the most people, and very loudly announces, “I’m gonna be a dad!” He turns back to you and pulls you in for another hug.

Blog #4~ cut my finger o3o

I woke up multiple times throughout the morning, it being Friday I woke up at 9am because of the gardener so I usually rush to the back door to see if its locked to make sure the dogs aren’t going to rush outside since he usually leaves the gate wide open as he works. Even though they are normally good dogs, they don’t like the noise, just like me, they can hear the high pitch tones in the equipment, it’s another reason I hate vacuums and stuff like that too. High pitch tones like that can trigger my seizures. But I just closed the door and went back into my room and tried to go back to sleep, even though my dogs were being very talkative today and lily decided she wanted to climb on me like a jungle gym. I woke up a few more times trying to change positions not being comfortable, still feeling tired, because depression just eats away at your energy and same with my nightmares. At least the nightmares aren’t as bad as when I first started the medication. So that’s nice. I eventually woke up at 3pm giving up on sleep. Making my usual coffee and grabbing something small to eat since I knew later on we were going out to eat with my grandparents. We were going to see about taking my grandpa out to dinner, the one in the Alzheimer’s retirement home, they luckily were okay with us taking him out to eat, and then we brought him back. I was so happy to go there because they have a dog there and it’s like a lab/mastiff mix and his name is Cody and he gets so happy when he sees me. I literally get on the floor to pet him and everything. He usually is around elderly people and people who need to work so he usually gets most love from visitors and his owner which is the manager of the place who has been a big help to us on taking care of my grandpa. But back to Cody, we had to call to let them know we were there and they had Cody out front waiting too and oh my gosh it was like the movies how two people would like run to each other, it was like that, but instead I got a face wash and he got pet and scratched where ever, he seems to like getting his but scratched he’s only really rolled over I think like twice for me. I think he doesn’t like lying on the floor for long because he’s used to people walking around or the elderlies in the wheelchairs trying to get by, I’m not sure. But he’s such a sweet dog. I wish my dad would let me get a big dog as a service response dog because my sister has a lab/mastiff mix as well and his name is jax and he’s also a sweetie pie and I feel like they would just be a great service dog, but with how small lily is, I don’t know how that would work, I feel like one swat to the neck and that mastiff would kill lily. I don’t even know. Well enough about dogs and such. We took my grandpa to see the burned house today because the last few times we have gone to see him in the home he keeps asking when he can go home, mainly because we had told him he is just going to be in there till the house is fix which could be up to six months, but by that time he would probably adapt to the retirement home we would hope and not remember his old home or anything like that as sad as it may sound. But for the fact he’s the reason the house burned down, we need him to be safe. My grandma isn’t able to take care of him anymore.

While my grandma was showing my grandpa the house and stuff, my dad, brother and I went into the garage since they started cleaning it out so we were able to getting to the car. During the night of the fire my grandma had been in the hospital and no one got hurt, but my grandma had her wallet in the glove box, and I wanted to try and pry it open to see if I can find it or if it had melted. So I spent a good like 20 minutes working on it reaching through the passenger window and there it was. The wallet. Right next to a giant shard of glass. I was going to gently remove the glass like an idiot with no protective gloves or anything and ended up slicing my finger open. I don’t think I need stiches but I still haven’t been able to fully clean out all the ash out of the cut I have tried soap and water constantly. Alcohol burning like a mother f***er. It was so bad that I was literally screaming in pain I still want to get it checked out I might go to the doctor Monday or something to see if its okay cause im legit worried about it being infected since I cant clean it fully. I did go to the store and get like Neosporin and stuff like that and im keeping it closed tightly to stop the excessive bleeding that it was doing. But still was a hectic day. Spending the weekend with my grandma, she needs me to help her find a new car tomorrow and then I’m not sure what else needs to get done but I guess you will find out in tomorrow’s blog!

I think Iv'e finally hit my breaking point because I just cried for the past 20 minutes. I haven't had a good cry in forever. Im tired of being yelled at daily and told I'm a piece of human garbage. And then when I talk badly about myself my parents are like why do you talk so bad about yourself. Im tired of living in a messy house. Every time I clean my parents don't care and suddenly I can't walk across the room. I hate my life. I looked around after trying to fix the mess and cried.

crying and finding an emotional release is a good thing -- it might not feel happy and rosy and positive at the time, but it’s good for the soul to cry sometimes.

it sounds like your parents have a lot of cognitive dissonance when it comes to how they perceive you and how they act -- it’s not fair at all for them to say constantly yell at you and call you “human garbage” and to then wonder why you might talk badly about yourself \: like how can they not see that the two are connected?! if you’re constantly being told negative things about yourself and these words are coming from your parents and people who are supposed to protect you, then it makes sense that those words start to flow into your subconscious and that you’ll believe them.

what your parents are saying is. not. true. repeat after me ok: it’s. not true. I really do mean that! we are not 100% good or 100% bad, the world is not as black and white as that. you’ll have your faults like anyone does, but you’ll have so many good qualities to you as well. garbage is something that has no use or value anymore, and that is not you.

I’d look at the possibility of moving out and finding somewhere else to live, it’s not worth living there when it’s become a negative and toxic environment. if you’re not yet 18 yrs of age? then you could try talking to your parents yourself, or getting a family member to talk to them with you too. if you’re currently at school then it could also help to chat to a member of staff that you get on with and let them know what’s going on at home? or alternatively, you could make an appointment to see the guidance counsellor at school as well. let us know how things go for you friend, be kind to yourself xxx

I’m manic

I don’t want this to happen anymore. I’m On new meds and I’m nauseous or puking all day yet if I stop I have flu like symptoms. So I’m not eating and drinking and sleeping and smoking so fucking much. I want to scream and yell and run around and absolutely just outwardly explode. I want self destructiveness. But I’m supposed to be a responsible adult right? I’m supposed to seek help when I experience this right? Yet I cannot let people see this because the entirety of what I’m feeling is scary. Im shaky and so fucking hungry. I’m starving myself but I don’t know why. God I’m tired and so anxious with people around me. I’m scared to be touched and I’m scared to be seen. I just want to sleep. I just want to hide and push this away but a part me just wants this to roll over me and just stop trying so fucking hard all of the time to be the best. I can’t achieve that and it’s killing me to go through this. I don’t want to be bipolar. I thought about it a few years before the diagnosis but then I had people tell me they thought so too. I ruined my adolescence destroying myself at every turn and I wish things would have been different. Addiction beat the shit out of me and left me with heavy trauma and such a fucking fear and a reason to truly hate myself. I worked hard to be sober for a year and a half but yet it’s only a year and a half. I can’t keep up with my age group. Brandon did a lot of confidence damage. I know my feelings are long gone already about it, honestly, since I saw him MAYBE twice a month. He made me feel so fucking small. And it just reminded me of peter. My trauma catches up with me a lot. This whole fucking blog is to get this goddamn SHIT out of me. I want to crawl out my skin constantly and just run. Just run without having to think about money or responsibilities or making anyone else happy. Just making sure I’m happy. I hate perfectionism. I hate it I fucking hate how it’s such a large part of me that I feel like it’s digging at me under my skin and peeling through me. Deep breaths. Deep breaths can solve this right? Right?? Some fucking essential oils? Some fucking walks? Maybe an ice cream? I can’t fucking eat! I need control over myself in some form and I’m latching on to one that I know I shouldn’t. I’m latching on to my first instinct and my most comfortable one. I fell flat on my ass into this shit and I’m not quite sure what to do this time. Delete the saved thinspo? Don’t have any. Don’t look at it anymore. Have food in the house? Already do! Plenty! Stop throwing up? Haven’t on purpose! Throw away the measuring tapes and the scale? Don’t have them! Stop exercising? Can’tfucking have the energy to! I cannot take care of myself right now and it is the most terrifying thing to acknowledge! I need to take some time to get my shit in order! But here’s the thing! I cannot! I have work! And rent! And pets! And a roommate who works a lot so I do a lot of the house stuff! I have friends to socialize with! I am absolutely terrified! Mental health issues is fucking terrifying! I’ll be okay right? I’m always okay eventually. Im resilient as I’ve been told! Maybe I need to try harder! But I’m giving it all I’ve got! And it’s not enough! I’m so fucking burnt out and mentally drained but my mind is going at 10000000 miles an hour. God I just want this to fucking change. I want it gone. I want nothing to do with bipolar and nothing to do with all of this bullshit. I can never fully function and meds are a goddamn personal hell. I go to therapy every week. I TALK. I listen. I try. I try so hard and I’m so fucking tired. I’m so goddamn miserable. I need something to fix this but nothing can right now. And I just cannot ever think about going back to hard shit. Ever. That shattered me. I want to feel loved right now. Despite what’s going on with me. And I’m not even talking about a romantic relationship. I’m talking about feeling worthy and deserving of food and sleep and opinions and interests. I want to feel no need to be worthy or to fight for someone to listen. Just listen to what I say. Like I deserve to be alive and happy. I want to feel like I can be deserving of basic human love. I want to matter. I want to feel like I matter. That I am wanted to exist. By anyone. I know my friends tell me all that but do they mean it? My head tells me absolutely not but god does my heart want to believe it. I want to soften these feelings right now. Not stop or numb them, but soften them. I want clarity. I want to see past the haziness of my thoughts and the self hatred. I need to change something but I don’t know what. I’ve change lots. I got my degree. I got out of a broken relationship. A toxic friendship of years. I got an appointment with just one roommate! I got an office job and got steady hours even though they have a max of hours for me. I’m a year and a half sober! I’m cleaning like mad! I do so much at work! I’m so stressed! This is so long of a rant! But here’s my plan! 1) eat sour gummy worms and peach rings. 2) drink something. 3) get stoned. 4) take off makeup and get in some comfy clothes. 5) go to bed about 11 and wash my face before and meditate. 6) drink some tea and maybe tarot reading? Fall asleep watching adventure time. 7) make tomorrow full of reading and a full 3 meals and no extra cleaning. 8)Take a day to myself. 9)Meditate and do some deep breathing. 10) maybe call A friend and talk about it

Going camping this weekend, getting out in nature is very therapeutic for me

What is the most important thing that matters to you at the moment?

Thinking alot more about self-care lately and balancing that with work

Do you work?

Educator, freelance designer, artist, serving on committees for the school

More work done at home, not a big coffee shop worker, mostly have home

What are some things you like to do on the weekends?

Camp, Walk, visit breweries, go to art shows, see friends, maintain a somewhat robust or dynamic social life.a lot of things that get my mind off work, allow me to relax , have fun in life

Is there something you do on the weekend that you don't do during the week?

Not really, depending on working schedule, go to the gym or do yoga

What is your living situation like?

Have a wonderful house, pretty good size, been there for 12 years, live there with wife and 2 cats and enough space to have an office for working and make art, basement if working with wet mediums. Guest bedroom for visiting people, like to host. Live in a somewhat urban area, close enough to walk to a number of things. Fun to have a house to do some of the projects and fixing self.

is your living space organized to help you accomplish your tasks or goals, whatever they may be?

No. not really organized or really tidy, very tactile, has piles and shifting stuff around in workspace. Once a year does major cleaning in the working/making area so can be productive during summer

Wish it was neater and tidier, not have stacks alway but kinda learned that the kind of person I am

What are some of your goals for your daily life?

Manage stress and scatterbrain. Take one day at a time. Try to keep on top of things, staying on track takes a toll on mental state a bit but want to go to bed feeling like everything that needed to get done that day was done. Attack things that need to get done so they aren't on the mind. Make lists to keep track. If stuff is written down then voices tell me things I had to do are kinda hushed.

What are some of your goals in general?

Career goals - full professor in the Fall will be really rewarding.

Creatively, been submitted stuff to galleries a lot more

Trying to nurture the artist aspect

Household goals “honey-do list”

Keep place that i am proud of.

What kinds of chores did you do during childhood/teenage years?

A lot, did a lot of typical chores. Had a chart that had chores were for each work and if didn't do it, didn't get paid. Had to be part of keeping the house hold

Would really like to say yes, but not super adventurous. More room for being adventerous. Dont gravitate toward new things or put myself in scary situations. Not so much wish it was more.

Have been getting more art into arts more than ever

Hi: My 1996 toyota corolla was hit by another car in the rear on the passenger side. My car was in excellent condition, everything worked, nothing broken, no rust (paint in excellent condition as it is always in my garage at home or in a covered parking lot at my workplace), low mileage (130K), never had a problem and I am the original, sole owner and driver of the car. I was planning to keep driving it for years to come. Now the insurance company wants to total my car and what they are offering for my car /their initial proposed settlement of $3500is not nearly enough to buy another car in the same excellent, safe and reliable condition, that is not riddled with hidden problems. This presents a big problem for me as, if I cannot have my car fixed and restored to the same condition as before the crash, I would have to come up with at least $12K to $15K to buy another new safe, reliable economy car. This is an expense that was not in my plans. Also, the insurance company is pushing me to make a hasty decision and is threatening me with not paying for the car rental I needed to get (since my car cannot be driven as the tail light is broken and and rain would get in the car). THAT WAS THE LAST TIME I SAW MY CAR. Because the size of my excess (800) and the amount of damage matched the value of the car (800) I was advised it would be pointless to claim on the insurance and it was written off. The accident was my fault and I held my hands up and admitted it and the other party walked away with everything sorted. No suggestion of fraud and certainly nothing fraudulent on my part. Towards the end of 2008 my insurance company started falling off the radar, not returning my calls or my emails, letters etc. I repeatedly asked what I was supposed to do next (I'd never had an accident before and the whole process confused me because they kept giving me conflicting info) and where my car was. I was ignored (or given incorrect info). In the end I declared a SORN on the car and had so much going on in my personal life, I forgot about it, knowing the car was off the road. Anyway, I'm now trying to track the car down as the SORN is about to run out. Insurance company are still off the radar and refusing to answer. Now they're saying they have no record of me, my policy OR my car. So I've lost my car, I don't know who's got it and yet I'm still liable for it. What can I do? Can I get the police involved? Trading standards? ANYTHING? I don't care about the car, whoever has it can keep it! I just don't want to be liable for it! Dream 1

Theres a small building and its in tokyo Its night and theres two children who come out to leave me and theres a boy I look down my arms are covered in tattoos and im wearing a leather jacket its a cool summer night The boy is also wearing a leather jacket But his expression is light as he says goodbye to the children I go back in my memory Sort of in a daze thinking about what happened throughout the last few days I got there pretty late in the evening it was about 21:00 everyone was a bit startled to see me i had a backpack with the few clothes i would need for the next week I was supposed to volunteer i think was some sort of orphanage the ladies were very kind and welcoming even though i looked like this i was a dress at the time Tattoos fully exposed They were beautiful But i cant remember the exact designs there was red and green and black and gray and yellow and purple and every color i could imagine Two kids came up to me as it was dinner time and gave me a silver bowl to get food i accompanied them to their small wooden table as the other children chatted the night away They were very helpful and respectful the little boy was about 12 the little girl about 10 They werent related but it was as if they could have been He took great care of her They asked so many questions about my life they began to jumble all together in my head I was very drowzy they mustve given me warm tea and send me off to bed Soon everything went black The next thing I knew it was morning, a warm inviting morning unlike anything id ever experienced, i head the children laughing and playing outside I got ready and walked out It was like a decent sized alleyway behind and around the building only to be surrounded by many many other buildings I remember people looking out and smiling at the children It was like a market beautifully decorated and the kids played as the ladies sold the fruits and vegetables It radiated warmth throughout my body I played with the kids tried to answer their questions yet it all felt so surreal like i was constantly dazing off into space Like there was more to me being there than just to be there Like I had been running from something From someone And i could feel heartbreak as i thought about it but i didnt understand why I just know the boy with the cute frizzy brown hair With the dazzling smile bun i couldnt quite recall who it was or why he was looking for me It was dinner time by the time we finished bringing in everything that was left and making dinner I was wearing a sun dress my hair put up in a ponytail Long brown wavy hair My piercings showing through I felt radiant with the warmth in my heart and smiling and laughing along with them the lights were warm the air fresh as it began to rain I felt so alive in that moment Until the front door opened and I could hear his voice My face seemingly dropped and the little boy took my hand and asked what was wrong except i couldnt say anything And i could only offer a sad smile My heart began racing and i excused myself to the bathroom as one of the ladies went over to speak with him Im not sure what he asked i could only hear muffled sounds as i washed my face in the bathroom and tried to recollect why he was so familiar and why i didnt want him to find me I could hear the children offering him a place to sit next to them He did have a way with people, old and young A way to capture their hearts.. As he had captured my own. I took a deep breath, ready to face him and whatever it was he brought with him. I stepped out with a smile, hoping and praying it was enough to tuck away the sadness I knew very well reflected in my eyes because I couldn't run away from him forever and if I had learned anything by now after all these centuries, it was that no matter where we went, we'd always find each other. And in this life, he'd always find me. I felt my breath hitch as I saw his face stop in the middle of a bite, eyes widen and then fall into recognition, taking in the moment as he looked me up and down. I tried to avoid him but I realized that was no use as he sat at the table I shared with the little girl and boy I took my time heading back to the table and as I sat down, the little boy scooted over to me as he took my hand, the sight almost making me burst into tears. The boy cleared his throat as plead for me to look at him, the mistress of the house interrupting as she welcomed him and I silently thanked her. Why was I so damn afraid? What could he do to me? I felt no threat from him, just pain.. A lot of pain. Enough to keep me from looking at his eyes, the same ones that I knew held promises neither of us could keep. I gathered up all the strength I could as the mistress walked away and I looked up at him for the very first time. The bags under his eyes were prominent giving away the endless night he looked for me. He was wearing his favorite leather jacket, matching my own tucked away in my room. His eyes looked sad. Really sad actually. Like he'd almost given up hope for the hundredth time, crying endlessly and just composing himself enough to keep going. I felt the urge to touch him then. An urge that had become all too familiar. His eyes reflected my own. And though i couldnt quite remember how we ended up here in the first place, I know he had been with someone else. He had broken my heart but the boy in front of me looked so small and fragile as if my voice could break him into pieces we couldnt quite put back together again. He smiled. A tiny smile that I wouldve missed if I hadnt been so focused on his face. I turned to the children and began eating, trying to distract myself from everything. ur character got drunk after being dumped in high school and decided to win over the love of their life by throwing rocks at their window at 3 in the morning .. only they completely missed the street n it was parkers .. she opens the window, they feel bad, apologize and leave .. next day they got seated together at math. they will do anything to pass the time.. (yea .. probably making origami and telling everyone in class to pass their rubbers so they can stack them on top of each other . ) ended up going to lunch detention more times than going to lunch but they didnt mind .. they got to see what the janitor’s storage looks like and wear those yellow cleaning gloves for the rest of the day n when someone asked them why ? they smile. no reply. they ended up going completely different ways .. while parker went to a community college for journalism .. they were probably doing much bigger things but they always kept in touch whether it was through phone calls or texts . now that they are on the show, they take every opportunity to mess w people the way they did back in the good ol days (they are old! just kidding. im barely alive)

they worked at an indoor go karting speedway together at one point .. probably got drunk at 18 after closing hours and talked about fitting in, n broken hearts .. maybe at one point even kissed but laughed it off .. “see NOW i know why u dont have a girlfriend” . probably pranked each other at any given opportunity ( still do)
