Patience
Billy Butcher x fem!reader
i hope you enjoy, idk how good this is lmao✨
CW: Daddy kink, some spanking and aftercare, unprotected sex, bit of fluff at the end✨
The clock on the wall ticked away the day, your patience was wearing thin as you waited for Butcher.
He had been working longer hours for the past two weeks, his mission with the Boys vs. Vought and The Seven had taken up a lot of his time which in return made you feel neglected by him.
you’d wait up through the late hours of the night; hoping for some loving from Billy- only for him to stumble home at god knows what time and go straight to bed; only to be up again a few hours later and back out the door, leaving you with a quick kiss and a “have a good day”.
His authoritative nature drew you to him like a moth to flame- the countless nights of him absolutely railing you till you came hard on his cock, moaning his favourite word ‘Daddy’ into his ear brought a throb to your heat- but lately that buzz had mixed in with loneliness and it ate away at you. it made you act out, become brattier than ever.
The door to the apartment flung open, the familiar sound of heavy boots echoed on the wooden panels.
“hello love… Daddy’s home.”
Butcher had come back early for the first time in weeks and was met with you, sitting on the couch, pouting. He raised an eyebrow in suspicion as you said nothing, which is unusual as you’d be jumping right into his arms- but you sat still with your arms crossed, leering at him.
Billy walked over to you- standing in front of your seated frame with his arms crossed. His face showed a glimmer of concern and frustration as he studied your demeanour. “what’s goin’ on with ya?” he questioned, you shrugged your shoulders.
“i don’t know… oh wait! i know! maybe it’s the fact that you have given me nothing these past 14 days!” you remarked sarcastically, venom cursing through your words.
Billy stared at you- he knew that it had been a long time since you both spent quality time together. there wasn’t a day in the office that went by that he didn’t think about you, needing you like oxygen.
“i know that you’re busy and the Boys are important to you, but what about me? why aren’t i getting attention too?” your face grew hot in frustration.
Billy’s eyes widened and he smirked. “oh lovey…” his nonchalant voice stirred anger within you. you huffed and went to stand up to leave the room, only to be stopped by your boyfriend who had a grip on your forearm. “nup… you’re staying right here.” his tone was a lot more stern this time, turning you to face him.
“i know it’s been hard these few weeks… believe me sweetheart, i wish for nothin’ more than to be here with you instead of doin’ the shit that i’m doin’ with the Boys...” you resisted looking at him, but not before he raised your chin to face him with his index and thumb.
“i just missed you… that’s all. jus’ needed you and you were gone all day and night and im sick of it!” You wanted to protest some more, but before you could speak he places a finger on your lips as to shush you.
“but- don’t give me that bratty attitude. ya know what happens when ya give me that, baby…”he knew which buttons to push, wanting to shift the tension in the air to something a bit more intimate.
“well… what’re you gonna do about it, Daddy?” He saw the cheeky glint in your eye as a small smirk spread across your face, you cocked your head to the side and batted your lashes at him.
in a swift movement, billy had you by the waist, sitting down on the couch and draping you along his lap. your body shivered with anticipation feeling Butchers hands run up your thighs up to your ass, his fingers running agonisingly slow against your skin. “i think a lil’ punishment is in order love, set ya brattiness straight…”
A rough hand smooths over the globes of your short covered buttocks. “10 spanks. and you’re gonna count them down f’me yeah?” you nodded and giggled- shaking your ass for him. a deep groan erupted from Butchers throat as his pulled your shorts off you and felt your warm skin on his palm, eyes fixated on your ass.
his hand struck down on your left ass cheek, sending a ripple through your skin. you gasped loudly, it stung but it felt so good at the same time. “one…” you muttered breathlessly, earning a chuckle from Butcher. Another slap to your rear rang through the apartment living room. “t-two…”
….
“good baby… just a two more f’ me…” Billy’s hand smoothed over your red raw skin. your breathing had become jagged, breathless from his cruel yet exhilarating actions.
You were jolted back to reality as his hand came down sharply on your cheek once more. "N-nine..." Tears welled in your eyes, a mix of desperation for the punishment to end and a conflicting part of you that didn’t want it to stop. Billy smirked before place the last smack on you, hearing you cry out “ten!” slumping over his lap and panting.
“that’s a good girl… such a good girl f’me.” billy gently rubbed your sensitive skin with his hands, leaning down to give soft kisses to your ass cheeks.
“sit up f’ me.” you obeyed and got up from his lap, seeing him get up to the bathroom to find lotion to sooth your sore backside- he returned and gestured you to lay back on his lap to rub the cool gel on your skin. a shiver went up your back you whimpered softly as he took care of you, but your desire for more was still stirring in your stomach.
you sat up carefully to look into butchers eyes after he taken care of the aftermath of your punishment, seeing desire still glinting in his dark pupils, your hands snaked up to his face, bringing him in for a deep kiss.
he licked you bottom lip, wanting to invade your mouth with his tongue which you gladly granted him. he grabbed at you, pulling you back onto his lap straddling him. you pulled away from his lips, looking into his eyes. “i want you Daddy…” you whispered, witnessing a sly smirk appear on his face.
“alright then love… lead the way.” he whispered, placing a quick kiss to your lips. you smirked and got up from his lap, walking through the lounge to the bedroom. Butcher soon followed suit; removing his clothing and scattered it along the floor, leaving a trail behind him.
standing at the foot of the bed, you waited for butcher- not for long as his frame comes into view. his naked body stands in front of you, his hard cock on display.
Billy’s eyes bore into the sight before him, his dark gaze filled with insatiable hunger for you sent shivers down your spine. “get on the bed pet…” he growled, his accent sent tingles through you. “on your hands an’ knees for Daddy.” his order rang through you, immediately obeying him and crawling onto the mattress.
you arched your back as you positioned yourself on all fours, presenting yourself to him like prey. Butcher approached your body, watching it tremble in anticipation. his hands smooth over your still red arse, making sure to be gentle.
Pushing your underwear to the side, Butcher started hungrily at your glistening pussy.
“look at ya… so fuckin’ wet f’me…” his fingers traced along your slit, collecting your slick on his digits, making you moan. using the excess slick from you, he pumps his cock slowly to lubricate it. bringing his cock to your entrance, he drags his tip along your slit, teasing your hole and clit.
“f-fuck Daddy… please, please fuck me…” you begged, looking over your shoulder at him. Billy smirks at you, loving the desperation in your voice. “who am i do deny my baby huh?” his voice is low and drenched in desire as he plunged into you, his thick cock filling you deliciously.
the sound of his hips slapping against your filled the room, mixed with the cries of pleasure coming from your lips. “oh… Daddy you feel so fucking good…” Butcher relished in your wails, his powerful grip on your hips as his quickened his thrusts. your body rocked against his perfectly. "Fuck, you feel so good, pet. " Billy grunted, his voice strained with desire.
your senses were overstimulated by his agressive thrusts and the strong sent of sex that filled the room, creating an intoxicating atmosphere. Your body was stumbling to the edge of your high, ecstasy was just around the corner.
Like a tidal wave, pleasure fell over you and your loud cries filled the room once more- “fuck! Daddy yes!”
your knees shook, nearly bucking beneath yourself as Butcher kept thrusting, relentlessly pounding into your pussy until he too reached his peak. With a deep groan, he spilled his seed into you. his cock pulsing as he filled you deeply.
The grip on your hips lightened, feeling him pull out of you with a sigh. “you’re so fuckin’ good f’Daddy darlin’…” he grinned as you turned around, laying on your back in exhaustion. his eyes raked over your body, in awe of your glowing complexion as your breathing slowed to a steady rhythm.
Butcher crawled over on top of you to shower you with kisses and praises. “that was worth the wait..” you smiled at him, giggling softly. “ good things come to those who wait love…” he whispered to you, placing another kiss upon your lips.
“how’s about… we grab some grub, curl up in ‘ere and watch a movie? your pick babe…” he winked, making you blush. you nodded, smiling up at him. “i love you, Daddy.” you looked at him, batting your lashes at him as he smiled at you.
“i love you too baby…”

As per your request! I just copied and pasted it from my comment!!
Also. Love your stories. Love it when you post them. They’re just always so short!! I’m so greedy! I always want more!! I’m always full of ideas so if you need any just ask. (I feel like you don’t need them though you do so well writing!) I’m far to ADHD to actually write any of them so happy for you to create the magic lol
They randomly meet a few weeks/months later in a coffee shop and sit down and chat… or she just happens to Bert her bestie Ava at the school hoping to get a glimpse of her!!
I dunno. You’re the artist! As long as it’s happy and smooshy!! 🥰
Thank you for your sweet, sweet words! As requested, here is part 2! I definitely didn't follow the prompt at all, but this is what I came up with, and I hope it's okay!
Enchanted- pt 2
Part 1
WC: ~2.4k
You went to text Ava the next day after meeting Melissa, but you just couldn’t find the courage. So here you are, still just sitting at your desk job, thinking about her. Your mind is filled with what she could be doing right now- actually you know what she’s doing: it’s 11 am on a Monday morning. She’s at school, probably teaching her second graders. You sit there for another half an hour before it’s finally time for your lunch break, and you take the walk down to the Wawa around the corner like you usually do.
Melissa opens up her Tupperware container, only to let out a loud groan at the odor that comes out of it.
“What the hell is that smell?” Ava scrunches her nose up as she walks in.
“I knew it was a risk bringing this today,” the redhead grumbles as she dumps the contents out into the trash can. “But I thought I could get another day out of it.”
“Damn, girl,” the principal laughs. “That sucks. Wawa lunch for you, I guess.”
“Anyone want anything?” the second grade teacher asks as she slings her bag over her shoulder. Jacob goes to say something, but he’s cut off by Melissa loudly announcing, “Alright, if no one wants anything, I’ll be back in twenty minutes.”
She storms her way down to the convenience store- the same convenience store that you’re currently standing in. She sees you as soon as she walks in.
You’re not nearly as dressed up as you were the other night when she saw you, and you look to be in deep concentration as you decide what you want for lunch that day. She chuckles as she watches your furrow your brows deeper than she ever thought possible. She’s absolutely enamored.
“For Christ’s sake, Y/N,” you chastise yourself quietly. “Just pick something.”
She stands behind you and laughs softly. “You know, you can’t go wrong with their quesadillas.”
You nearly jump three feet in the air. You weren’t expecting anybody to come up behind you, and you certainly weren’t ready for the woman that has been occupying your thoughts to be there.
“Oh my…” you take a deep breath as you look at her. She looks… wow. Your cheeks instantly heat up. “Hey, Melissa.”
“Hey, hun,” she chuckles. “You forget lunch today too?”
You don’t really want to admit this, but you aren’t about to lie. “I usually take a walk down here everyday for lunch.”
“Everyday?”
“Like clock work,” you tell her, as you still mull over what to get for lunch. “It’s so bad most of the employees here know me by name.”
As if on cue, one of the workers there looks up and gives you a grin. “Hey, Y/N! The usual today?”
“Usual?” Melissa smirks.
“Aw, yeah!” the employee grins. “Homegirl comes in everyday!”
“Damn, you weren’t kidding’,” the redhead mutters, smirk still written on her face. She hip checks you lightly, effectively making you move over. She hits a few buttons, and then looks at you expectantly. You just stand there, not quite sure what you’re supposed to do.
“Oi,” the woman rolls her eyes. “Put in your order before I order for you.”
“Oh, no,” you stumble out. “I- I couldn’t ask you to pay for my-”
“You didn’t ask, I’m just doin’ it. And I ain’t gonna hear any arguments,” she tells you sternly.
“Melissa, I-”
“Hey, kid!” the teacher calls to the employee that greeted you. “What’s her order?”
He rattles it off as Melissa taps through the different screens, and you give him a look of betrayal. She prints off the ticket, wanders over to the drinks and grabs a raspberry tea before heading for the register.
“Melissa, you really don’t have to,” you try again.
She’s already handing the ticket over to the man behind the counter and pulling her card out of her wallet though.
“At least let me give you cash… or Venmo?”
“Absolutely not,” she rolls her eyes. The two of you stand and wait for them to make your meals, and when she hands in the printed paper and gets your food, she hands it to you with a smile. “Enchanted.”
With a hair toss, she makes her way out. The entire walk back to your office, you grin. She bought you lunch. She said, ‘enchanted’ again. Then, you mentally kick yourself because you didn’t ask her out, you didn’t ask for her number, you didn’t tell her you would get the next meal, you didn’t even reply with that one word that seems to be your thing now.
You eat your usual order from Wawa, and there’s something about it… it just tastes so much better.
As Melissa struts back into the school, she has that confident smile on her face.
“Damn, what happened to you in that Wawa, girl?” Ava laughs as she watches the redhead settle back into her seat and take a bite of her hoagie.
“Oh, nothin’,” the redhead shrugs. “Just saw a friend there.”
The next day, Melissa doesn’t come into school with a container full of her own cooking like she usually does. She doesn’t even enter the staff room when lunchtime rolls around. Instead, she grabs her bag and heads down the street to hopefully run into you again at the Wawa.
You’re standing there again, ordering your meal, although you look a little frustrated today. She doesn’t know that your frustration is because you had been standing there for ten minutes, hoping she would come in. You had just admitted defeat and decided to order when she waltzed in.
“Rough day?” the redhead saunters over and asks you.
Your eyes go wide, and the mental fog is lifted when you hear her voice and smell her perfume. “Hey.”
“Rough day?” she repeats.
You shake your head. “Just a little tired,” you tell her as you move to the side so she can put in her order. “I can’t focus on anything at work.”
She taps away on the screen, ordering hers and then also yours.
You swallow hard. “You remember my order?”
“Course I do,” she shrugs. She hits the button to print the ticket, but as she goes to grab it, you take it first. You make your way over to the drink stations, grab a diet coke, and gesture for her to get her own drink. She grabs a raspberry tea again and then follows you to the register. As you go to hand your card over, a gentle hand slaps your card out of your hand and to the ground. She’s standing there with a smirk as she goes to hand her own card over.
“Aye, Schemmenti,” you playfully growl as you bend over to pick your card up. “It’s my turn to buy.”
“Nah, I got this one,” she chuckles. She also goes to hand her card over, but you smack it out of her hand and throw your card at the employee- a man who is used to seeing you come in and actually checked the two of you out yesterday.
“It’s her turn,” the man shrugs with a cheeky smile as he takes your card, although he does slightly cower at Melissa’s glare. Then the redhead turns to you and immediately turns softer.
“Thank you,” she places a gentle hand on your shoulder. “But I got next one.”
“Alright, alright,” you laugh as the two of you head over to the counter to wait for your meals.
“So, you forgot your lunch again?” you ask her.
“Yeah,” she sighs. “Had it out on the counter and left it.” It’s a complete and total lie. She knew she had to test fate to see you again.
The two of you chat while they get your order together, and once again, she’s bidding you a goodbye with a gentle, ‘enchanted’. This time, you get to say it back, and your smiles and blushes are quite similar to each other.
This continues for the next few weeks, until one day she doesn’t show up at the Wawa like she usually does. Your day sucks. And you’re supposed to meet with Ava after the school day to go get your nails done. You know she’s going to be onto you when you show up in a bad mood.
“Damn girl,” she rolls her eyes and raises a brow. “What’s got your panties in a twist?”
“Nothin’,” you roll your eyes back. “Let’s just get our nails done and gossip.”
“You know I’m always down for that shit,” she laughs.
The two of you talk for a while as the ladies do your nails before it the conversation turns to your love life.
“Well, who is it this week?” your best friend asks you.
“No one,” you sigh.
“Well no wonder you’re in a bitch mood- you need to get some!”
“Girl, you make me sound like I’m with someone new every weekend, and you know for a fact that I am very much not like that,” you roll your eyes.
“You have to have your eye on someone,” the principal says. “Otherwise you would be out at the bar looking for someone!”
You mull over telling her, and before you know it, the words are spilling out of your mouth, “Well, I do have my eye on one person, but it’ll never happen, so…”
“Ooh, girl! You got tea! Spill it!”
“It’s really not a big deal,” you tell her, hoping she doesn’t pry. Of course she does, it’s Ava, so you have to go about describing Melissa without Ava being able to catch on.
“She’s a little older than us, she’s tough on the outside but has a soft spot for me,” you tell her. “Easy on the eyes, smart as a whip.”
“Girl, why didn’t you tell me you were practically dating someone?! If I didn’t know any better, I’d say you’re describing Schemmenti."
“I’m not,” you roll your eyes. “I really just see M- this woman when we run into each other at Wawa.”
“What’s her name?” the principal wiggles her eyebrows, all too interested in your love life.
“Enough about my love life,” you shut her down. “Anything interesting happen at school today?”
“I had to cover Schemmenti’s classes today,” Ava tells you. “Woman sounded awful today when she was calling out.”
It clicks in your head that that’s why she wasn’t there to meet you at the Wawa like she usually did, and it isn’t like she has your number to let you know she wasn’t going to meet you. You instantly feel a bit of relief that she didn’t just decide not to come- but you feel bad that she isn’t feeling well.
“Oh?” you try to hide how you actually feel about it. “Is she alright?”
“Nasty cough,” your best friend tells you. “But she assured me she’d be back tomorrow… Red never calls out, so I knew she was feeling pretty shitty.”
“That sucks,” you sigh softly. “Hopefully she’s back tomorrow.”
“So you can ‘run into her at Wawa’?” your best friend blind sides you with her casual remark.
“What? I don’t know what you’re talking about,” you say quickly, hoping to cover yourself.
“Oh, please,” she waves the hand that isn’t being painted right now. “I saw the eyes the two of you were giving each other at the fundraiser, and Melissa has been going to Wawa everyday since the one day her lunch went bad. I know she’s going to the same Wawa you go to everyday, and she always comes back in a better mood. I put it together about a week in. And you just confirmed it.”
“I did not.”
“Girl, remember, I’ve known you since we were five. I know when you’re lying. Listen, she’s your type, your hers. I say go for it.”
“Maybe I will… if she’s feeling better and at school tomorrow.”
“If I know Schemmenti, she will be,” Ava rolls her eyes. “She might be half asleep, and an absolute bitch tomorrow, but she’ll be there.”
Melissa looks like hell as she drags herself into the Wawa, but to you she still looks gorgeous as ever. When she spots you, her eyes light up.
“The usual?” she asks you as the two of you head to the ordering stations. Her voice is barely there.
“Mel, you should be home resting,” you tell her pointedly.
“I’m fine,” she grumbles. “Besides, I can’t miss. The kids have important tests coming up, and-” she interrupts herself to cough. It sounds awful.
You lay a gentle hand on her shoulder and rub it soothingly. Once she’s finished coughing, she sighs.
“Soup instead of your usual hoagie?” you ask her, already pressing buttons to order her a chicken noodle soup.
She looks defeated but nods. “Yeah, that sounds good.”
You insist on paying, telling her to let herself be taken care of. She begrudgingly listens, mumbling about how she’s a Philly girl and she can handle herself. You roll your eyes, but you assure her that she’s still a tough Philly girl- that it’s okay to lean on someone else. As the two of you are standing there, she coughs a few times. Again, you lay a gentle hand on her shoulder. When she’s finally done coughing, she quite literally leans into your body just slightly.
“Sorry I ditched ya yesterday,” she wheezes out. “I couldn’t drag myself out of bed.”
“No need to apologize,” you assure her. “I’m glad you were home getting some rest.”
“I just kept wishing I had a way to tell you,” she mutters.
“Well, why don’t I just give you my number, so if that happens again… or you want to get something besides Wawa with me, we can text?” you shoot your shot with the woman.
“That sounds… enchanting,” she smiles softly. “When I’m feeling better, I’ll make us dinner? I’m one hell of a cook.”
“I’d be enchanted,” you tell her warmly.
As the two of you separate, you get a text from her. Enchanted.
By the time the end of the work day is over, Ava has texted you too. Bitchhh! I’m assuming you shot your shot. Red came back into the school practically dancing.
Yeah. You’re just starting this chapter of life- that one night was truly enchanting, and it really was the very first page.

Seventh (Stan x fem!Reader) 18+
Summary: Stan reveals he has less experience than his confident demeanor lets on
Warnings: Smut/NSFW/18+ soft, slow, and sweet this time :)
This is 2 chapters but both are included here. The real smut starts in chapter 2.
Minors do not interact
Chapter 1
You were more nervous than you should have been. You'd been on plenty of dates with Stanley Pines, but as you waited for him to pick up the phone, you could feel your heart fluttering in your chest.
"You've reached the Mystery Shack."
"Hey, sailor."
"Oh hey, toots! How're ya doin?"
"Good, Stan. Hey, I was wondering -- I got this new movie, and thought maybe you'd want to watch it with me? Are you free tonight?"
"Yeah, I'm not doin' anything. What time?"
"I can be over at 8 if that works for you?"
"Oh, you're comin to the shack? Well, see I only got the one chair, and--"
"It sounds like I'll have to sit on your lap then, big guy."
"Oh! Yeah, sounds like it. I'll, uh, I'll see you at 8 then."
"See you then! Oh wait!"
"Yeah?"
"Would it be weird if I wore pajamas?"
"I don't see why it would be."
"Well if you're gonna be in slacks, I'll feel pretty underdressed, you know."
"Ha, I promise I'll wear somethin comfy, okay?"
"Perfect, see you later Stan!"
"I can't wait, doll."
---
As the clock ticked closer to 8, you pulled out the outfit - the perfect 2 piece pajama set - silky shorts and a button up top, with matching bra and panties to complete it. If this didn't get him in bed with you, you might consider giving up altogether.
His reaction when he opened the door was exactly what you wanted, "Wow, ya look gorgeous, babe." He pulled you in by the waist and gave you a passionate kiss.
"Not too bad yourself, Stan." He was in a white undershirt and red plaid pajama pants - a pretty big contrast to the multitude of layers he usually wore. The tank top showed off his broad shoulders and thick stomach perfectly and he looked very snuggle-able. The thought of sitting on his lap for the next two hours gave you butterflies.
"Why don't ya put the movie in, I'll get some snacks." Stan headed toward the kitchen.
As you fiddled with the remote, trying to get the subtitles on, you heard him settle into the chair behind you. When you turned around, he had a blanket over his lap, which he opened up with a big grin and said, "Ya ready to climb aboard the Stan-o-War?"
You couldn't help but laugh at his joke, and you gladly joined him in the chair. You threw your legs over one armrest and laid your head on his shoulder. He wrapped the blanket around you, and as you relaxed further into his lap, he stirred a little. You lifted yourself back up a bit, "Everything okay?"
"Yeah, I just, uh," he tugged at the front of his pants, "there." He chuckled a little as you settled down, and you felt his erection pressing into your hip.
"Sorry 'bout that, doll, I can't help it when you're around."
"Oh, so you DO like me," you teased him, "I was starting to think maybe all these dates were out of pity or something."
"What are you talkin' about? Course I like you."
You fiddled with the gold chain poking out of the neck of his tank top. "C'mon Stan, everytime we go out, you flirt shamelessly, talk a big game, play footsies under the table, and then you take me home and all I ever get is a kiss goodnight. Don't you want anything more?" You made a very obvious glance downward.
"No, I do! I just," he sighed, "I dunno. Maybe I'm nervous."
"Stan Pines is nervous?" You teased him, "I didn't think that was possible."
You continued, more serious this time, "What are you nervous about?"
"I just, didn't want to disappoint ya, I guess."
"Why would you disappoint me?"
Stan scratched at his stubble and avoided eye contact. "Well, I hate to admit it but, I don't exactly have the most," he waved his hand in a circle, looking for the right phrase, "notches in the bedpost, I guess."
You couldn't help but raise your eyebrows in genuine surprise, "Really, Stan? I'm shocked."
He shrugged.
"Wait, weren't you married once?" You asked.
"Yeah, for like a day. We uh, consumated the marriage, I fell asleep, and she stole my car."
You laughed, and he continued, "You know, it's actually a pretty good story, see--"
You cut him off, "Hey! Don't try to change the subject on me!"
"Alright, you got me."
"So, just how little experience are we talking here? Like, you can count on one hand, or?"
"Gee, let's see," he ran a hand through his hair before chuckling nervously, "maybe one of Stanford's hands."
"Six? Ah, so that's what?" You teased him, "Once or twice per decade since you turned 18?"
He rubbed his nose under his glasses, "God, when you put it that way..."
You took his hand in yours, "Hey, it's alright, I'm just teasing you." You planted a kiss on his cheek, "It's no big deal, I promise."
He didn't seem very soothed by your words.
"Well, it aint just that." The movie, completely ignored, continued to play in the background. "See, I've never actually made a woman... finish before."
"Ah," you nodded.
He continued, "At least, I feel like I know when I'm gettin' lied to, y'know?"
You chuckled, before asking, "Well, do you know how to?"
Stan rubbed the back of his neck, "I have... a vague idea."
"Well," you placed a hand on his cheek and leaned in to whisper, "would you like me to show you?"
Even in the dim light, you could tell he was blushing. He nodded, "Yeah, I'd like that."
Chapter 2
His bedroom was cast in a soft red light from the stained glass window. It was cozy, simply decorated, and a little messy -- not too different from what you'd imagined in your head 100 times over. In those fantasies, however, you always stumbled in, pulling each other's clothes off halfhazardly.
In reality, he slowly led you in by the hand and sat you on the edge of the bed next to him. He cupped your jaw with both of his large hands and began to kiss you, softly and intentionally.
Your hands wandered over each other's bodies, and over time, the clothes piled up on the bedroom floor.
His touch was light, and almost timid as he ran his fingertips over your breasts, continuing to kiss you. Your hand found it's way up his thigh and onto his dick, a bead of precum already forming at the tip. At the contact, he sighed into your neck. You gave it just a few strokes and a squeeze before asking, "Are you ready, Stan?"
"Oh yeah, baby."
"Okay, it's probably easiest if you sit behind me."
He propped himself up against his pillow and the headboard, and you seated yourself between his legs and layed back against his broad chest. His hands wandered over your waist, stomach, and breasts, this time with more confidence, all while his arousal pressed into your lower back.
You directed his hand downward and as his middle finger divided your folds, he breathlessly exclaimed, "Ah shit, babe, you're soaked."
"Mmhmm, all for you, Stan."
His finger teased your entrance, "Show me what to do, doll."
You placed your hand on top of his and guided him to your clit. "Do you feel that? Right there, that's it."
He nodded in response and began to massage in little circles, "How's that?"
"That's great, Stan." You couldn't help but move your hips, grinding against his touch.
"Wow," he sighed, "ya look real pretty doin' that."
The heat was building, and your breathing turned into soft moans while Stan's free arm supported you and kept you securely in front of him.
After a few moments, he asked, "What else can I do? I wanna help you cum, sweetie."
"Just keep talking, talk me through it, please."
"Alright babe, just keep makin' your pretty sounds. I've got ya, don't hold back. You're so good for lettin' me do this."
"Oh, Stan..."
"I never thought I'd get so lucky, doll. I can't wait to be inside ya. I don't know if I'll even make it that far, with your sexy body rubbin' up against me."
His fingers kept a steady pace the whole time, but it was his words that did you in. He seemed completely enamored by you. As the orgasm came over you, he fell silent, just taking it all in, still diligently massaging you and holding you steady through it.
At the end of it all, you placed your hand on his to still his movements, and he wrapped his arms around you, giving you a light squeeze from behind.
"Did I do okay?"
"That was fantastic, Stan, thank you. What did you think?"
"Hottest thing I've ever seen." He laughed lightly, "And a whole lot simpler than I thought."
"Yeah?" You turned around and gave him a kiss on the forehead. "It's your turn, sailor. Lay down for me, I want to ride you."
He did as he was told. "I ain't gonna last too long..."
"That's okay," you positioned yourself over him, "That's the beauty of letting me go first."
He let out a deep groan as you slid onto him, "Oh, baby, you feel so good. I-- I don't deserve this."
"You deserve to feel good, Stan. You made me feel so good."
You increased your pace slowly, grinding on him and drawing out more groans and sighs.
"You like that, Stan? Is there anything else you want me to do?"
"Just keep movin' those hips, doll, I'm real close. Some of those pretty sounds of yours would help, too."
You obeyed, moaning softly in rhythm with the motions. The look in his eyes was one of absolute awe and infatuation, even as he furrowed his brow and swore, "Fuck, babe, can I cum inside ya?"
You nodded, "Fill me up, Stan."
He gripped both of your hips firmly and pressed his own up a little further into you.
"Oh, shit, I--" his voice trailed off and was replaced by another series of groans as spurts of semen filled you and began to slowly leak out.
As he caught his breath, you leaned down and kissed him on the nose before dismounting and cuddling up next to him.
---
The two of you began to dress yourselves. This time, Stan left the pants behind and stuck with just his boxers.
"Hey, uh, I got a question," He pulled his undershirt on, "If I'd lasted longer, could you have finished again just from that?"
You explained that while some women don't orgasm at all from penetration, it is possible for you in certain positions. "But," you said, buttoning up your pajama top, "that's something we can work on next time."
"Next time?" He smiled.
"Of course. You didn't think I'd let you stop at seven, did you?"

Nick’s Birthday Surprise
[Just found out Jason’s birthday was yesterday, July 22! Happy birthday, jarhead!]
Nick had insisted on taking Jason out for birthday drinks. The bar Nick chose was a lot more bright and open than the ones Jason usually frequented, but after all they went through in that temple, he was no longer a fan of dark places. Jason took his time with the beer, talking about maybe catching a game later.
“Oh, I got you a present,” Nick mentioned.
“Yeah?” Jason turned his head. “You bring it with you?”
“No, I'm having it delivered.” Nick checked his watch. “Should be here any minute.” Jason was intrigued and a little excited. Wanting to get the full effect of a surprise, Jason turned back to drinking. He waited, expecting a delivery guy to come in announcing he had a package for Jason Kolchek.
Someone tapped him on the shoulder. Jason turned and nearly fell over when he saw the person standing before him. The man was wearing a striped button shirt and jeans and his face was no longer dirty, but there was no mistaking him.
“Salim.” He reached out and touched the man just to make sure he was real. Then his arms were around Salim, hugging him tight. He felt Salim embrace him and pressed a little closer. “Holy shit, I can't believe it.”
“Good to see you too, Jason.” Jason pulled back enough to get a good look at Salim's face. He couldn't even put into words how good it was to see the other man again. Salim had been on Jason's mind ever since they parted ways at the shepherd's hut: wondering if Salim made it back to his son safely, how he was coming after all they went through at the temple, if he managed to escape the war.
“You're a sight for sore eyes,” Jason smiled. “The fuck are you doin' here?”
“Nick contacted me and told me it was your birthday.”
“Yeah?” Jason turned to his friend and it was only then he realized he and Salim were still holding each other. He slipped out of the embrace to clasp an arm around Nick's shoulder. “Good call, brother.”
“Thought you might like it.” There was something about those words that made Jason blush. Nick looked at his watch again and cursed. “I'm sorry, Jason, I forgot I have this thing I need to do. I don't wanna rush out on your birthday, but it's urgent.”
“You don't say...” Jason gave him a suspicious look.
“Salim, you mind taking the birthday boy out?” Nick asked, ignoring the look. He fished something out of his pocket and handed it over to Salim. “Happy birthday, man,” he waved to Jason. Jason followed him out, catching him at the elbow before he could walk out of the bar.
“What the fuck are you doin', man?”
“It's my present to you. You put up with my whining about Rachel and Eric, and I wanted to do something for you in return.” Nick's eyes darted significantly over to where Salim was standing. “Go for it, man.”
“Go for... I don't know what you're talkin' about.”
“Then you have all day and night to figure it out,” Nick replied with a smile. “See ya.” He waved and was gone. Jason knew he was blushing and tugged down on the brim of his cap so Salim wouldn't notice when Jason made his way back.
“So what did Nick give you?” he asked Salim.
“Tickets to a sporting event.” Salim consulted the tickets. “I think it's baseball.”
“Figures,” Jason huffed. At Salim's questioning look, he explained: “Those don't got clocks like most other sports. The inning lasts until the team gets three outs. They can go for fuckin' hours. Hope you don't got plans,” he added with a little smile.
“My plan was to see you on your birthday,” Salim told him. “Oh, before I forget.” He held out a wrapped parcel. With the shock of seeing him, Jason hadn't noticed it before. He unwrapped it, revealing a blue shemagh with a black star pattern on the fabric. “I didn't know what you would like,” Salim explained, “but I remembered you wearing one of these.”
“Thanks.” Jason ran his fingers over it and, before he could second-guess, asked: “You wanna tie it on for me?”
“Certainly.” Salim looped it around Jason's neck and tied it in a knot. Jason held still, his heart pounding the whole time. “Looks good on you,” Salim judged. He smoothed out the shemagh; Jason wished the lighting in this damn bar was worse so his blush would be better hidden. “Ready?” Salim asked.
“Yeah, better get to the stadium now and get a good seat.” The two of them headed out the door.
Maybe this would be one of the longer games, Jason thought. Hours sitting next to Salim. In that time, he might even get enough courage to hold Salim's hand.

"Hey, how you doin'?" Chan casually says as he enters the kitchen, trying not to grin and start giggling right away. He even places his hands over the table and tilts his head a little in an attempt to look confident. Felix takes his attention away from the food he is cooking and turns on his feet to look at him with an eyebrow raised.
"Good?" He answers with an air of suspicion. "Why?"
Chan finally lets out a small giggle, "Oh nothing, I was just thinking that... I am not a photographer, but I can picture me and you together."
And Felix thinks it's a creative pickup line, funny even, but what ends up making him laugh is the way his best friend bends over to start laughing louder and the way his cheeks turn reddish at the embarrassment he's probably feeling.
"That was a good one, I must say," He chuckles. "Not as great as the Optimus Fine one, though. Even if it made you laugh for ten minutes after you said it."
And Chan can only laugh harder at the remembrance, placing his hands over his slightly aching abdomen and gasp for air when he can't handle it anymore. Felix giggles as well and denies with his head, going back to stir what's on the pot.
"Stays keep getting creative when it comes to flirting with you," He speaks again as the laughter finally dies down. "They probably think you might use it on someone you like, and you're here almost crying because you use them on us."
Chan hums, "Well, I don't really like anyone right now."
Felix turns off the stove and makes a -dramatic- pause, turning again to face Chan as he gets closer and squints his eyes. "I don't believe it."
"What?" Chan laughs. "Why would I lie?"
"I don't know, but I don't buy it. Maybe it's the love songs you have as drafts in your laptop."
"Ah, that doesn't mean I'm in love," He explains and takes a seat in front of him, nervously scratching the back of his neck. "That's why they're still drafts, though. They don't convey the feeling of being in love because I am not in love, you know?"
"Good point, but it still doesn't convince me."
"Why?" He asks again with a chuckle, a little embarrassed by the sudden interest in his - nonexistent - love life. "You know our activities barely give us time for ourselves, so it's almost impossible to have a relationship with someone. At least a formal one."
"You can still like someone and not be with them." Felix shrugs. "So spill it. Who is it?"
And Chan knows he's just messing around with him, but he can't help but feel flustered. "No one! I think so." He almost says it in a whisper; however, Felix doesn't comment on it.
"I still want to listen to those drafts," He stands up and smiles. "Why don't you show me?"
This was not the way Chan expected the conversation to go, so he hesitates a bit about his friend's request. Well, it wasn't unusual anyway, at least Changbin had heard a couple and also helped in the composition of the songs, so having someone else hear them wouldn't hurt. He might even listen to ideas on his part to improve them.
"Okay, I can do that. Next week Y/N will come to the studio and work on something, why don't you pop-up at some point and I can show you?"
Felix nods, "Sounds good! Y/N asked for help for his new album?"
"Yeah, he wants me to listen to some tracks he has been working on." He casually comments, taking his phone from his pocket and leading his attention to the device, so now Felix can't see the slight blush on his cheeks.
"Hm, I haven't seen him in a while. Why hasn't he come to the dorm lately? We should invite him."
"He has been busy with his album, that's why. If you think I leave late from the studio, that's nothing compared to him, he truly spends an ungodly amount of time there."
"So you see him often?" Felix asks with sudden interest, now being aware of how Chan's ears are tinted pink.
"You could say that, yeah. He also spends time on my studio whenever he has the chance. And vice-versa." He shrugs, not finding it odd. You two were really good friends, so it was a normal thing for you to do. "Why?"
"Nothing, I was just curious." He mischievously laughs. "So, next week, you said?"
After a quick glance at the time on your phone, you decide to stand up and stretch your body. It's been a long time since you started working, and you still have a lot to do; and on top of it all, the progress you've made tonight doesn't totally convince you, and that just meant you'd be spending more time in the studio.
As you take your phone again to read your notes, a notification pops up on the top. You weren't supposed to meet up with Chan until later, but in the new message you just received, he tells you that he's free from working on his stuff and you could go earlier if you wanted.
You decide to go; after all, it was nearly impossible for you to concentrate again, and you truly needed to know what does he think about the tracks you sent him a few days ago to finally make an advance. So you grab your laptop after making sure you've saved the changes and the cup of half-drunk coffee, walking out to the long hall and taking the elevator to an upper floor.
The soles of your shoes are dragged across the floor all the way to the studio's door, where you softly knock a couple of times before remembering you already know the password to enter. Your fingers press the buttons, entering code you know by heart at this point, and the door quickly unlocks, making Chan to look your way and greet you with a smile.
"Hey, how have you been?" He sweetly says, seeing you entering the room and placing your belongings on top of the big desk in front of you and taking a seat on the couch behind him.
"Busy. And tired." You murmur and let out a sigh. Chan immediately plays a song at a low volume and takes seat next to you.
"You're still struggling with the track you told me about?"
You nod as an answer and pout, "I am desperate. It's like, no matter how many times I rewrite the lyrics or change the beats, it still doesn't convince me at all and I hate it."
"I get it," He sighs. "But don't worry about it, I'm here to help you out."
And Chan isn't someone who breaks his promises, so the following hours are spent listening to your music, carefully reading everything you've written so far, listening to your ideas and giving you advice.
In between work, he tells you every other joke to make you laugh and feel at least a bit less stressed; and it works wonderfully since he has a long list of dad jokes that take you off guard, plus his laughter is contagious, so not laughing with him is impossible.
It's no surprise that his advice and opinions are so accurate to the point of clearing your mind and helping you out of your creative block. Chan has always been hard-working and so good with words that every time you engage him in conversations, you feel more relaxed and less burdened. No matter what situation you had a problem with, Chan would always help you find the best solution for it. Maybe that's why you admire him so much, maybe it was one of the many reasons why you didn't hesitate for a second to go to him and find security in his presence and words... Maybe it was one of the thousands of reasons why you had romantic feelings towards him...
"Is it better now?" His voice takes you out of your thoughts. He's sweetly smiling at you; he probably realized you got lost on the way his lips were moving as he told you his thoughts on the recent draft of your song.
"Yeah, yes, honestly, you've helped me so much. I don't know what I'd do without you." You smile and go for a quick hug, taking the opportunity to ruffle his hair. Your fingers sliding between his soft and messy curls and making him fondly smile in the process. "You're my hero. I mean it."
Chan chuckles and can't keep his eyes off you as you type something on your laptop and hum. He recalls the conversation he had last week with Felix, and that ambiguous feeling settling on his chest makes him wonder if, after all, his friend was right. He doesn't remember when was the last time he felt the urge to hold someone in between his arms and dearly appreciate, and he wants to know why he smiles and feels his stomach tickling when he sees you.
Maybe it's because you spend a lot of time with him, a voice inside his head says. But he doesn't feel this way with any other friend.
Maybe it's because you have known him for a long time and you just appreciate him a lot, the voice tries again. Maybe. He finally gives in at the last thought. He'd have to figure it out.
His phone buzzes inside the pocket of his jeans and he takes it, knowing for sure it's a message from Felix.
"Felix is arriving in a few minutes." He murmurs, making you take your eyes off the screen. "He wants to listen to some songs I have, is that okay?"
"Of course, it's your studio, silly." You giggle. "I am almost done with this, so if you're gonna be busy I can go back to m-"
"You can stay, if you want to." He quickly adds. "Plus, he says he wants to see you, you know... He misses you." Chan laughs. He wasn't lying, but that wasn't the only reason he wanted you to stay.
"Okay! Sure, I haven't heard from him in a while, either." You nod and keep making changes on the file you have open.
Just as he said, Felix enters the room just a few minutes later, smiling brightly and immediately running to give you a big hug once he sees you.
Soon, the room was filled with laughter and long conversations to catch up on everything around your lives. Felix tells you about the new pastries he baked last week and that he was waiting for you to come around and bake with him, the new video game Jeongin bought and has been playing with Hyunjin, the new songs Changbin and Jisung have been working on and how Seungmin was learning to play piano, playing songs at night for everyone at the dorm.
"And you know? Chan hyung has gotten better at flirting." He laughs as the latter gives him a threatening glare. "He can't stop saying pickup lines whenever he has the chance."
"Ah, really?" You chortle. "You haven't said one in all the time we've been here."
"Well, we've been working, and I've told you many other jokes... Besides, it's not like I come up with them out of nowhere."
"Yes, you do!" Felix says. "You do that all the time, what are you talking about?"
You glance at Chan, who's currently blushing and at the loss of words. Felix, on the other hand, seems to be happy to see what he just provoked. And he'd definitely enjoy every part of it.
"I want to hear one! C'mooon!" You laugh. "Please?"
Chan rolls his eyes and tries to look confident as he would normally do. He clears his throat and thinks of a good pickup line he hasn't used yet.
"Alright," He says and smiles, he even thinks it's gonna start laughing before even opening his mouth, but the very moment he looks into your eyes, it's like he forgot every single word on his vocabulary. "Uhm, are you, no. Did you-? Wait! I forgot what I was gonna say-"
Felix can't help but burst into laughter, and you only look at him, as if you couldn't believe it. Was he nervous or was it because of the fact that Felix was in the same room? Would it have been any different if he weren't there?
You end up laughing at Felix's loud laughter, as well as seeing Chan blushing up to his ears and hiding his face behind his hands, probably also in an attempt to cover the huge grin he now has.
"Wow, that was an epic failure. And I thought you were the biggest flirt on earth." Felix teases him, to which Chan ends up groaning.
He continues talking about other stuff while Chan stops feeling embarrassed, even though he's not able to look in your eyes for the entire time until you have to go back to work.
You close your laptop and stand up, throwing the now empty cup of coffee on the trash bin. After thanking Chan for his help and promising Felix you'd drop by their dorm soon, you walk out of the studio with a smile and feeling your heart beating fast. There was no way you didn't have feelings for him.
"Oh my god, so I was right!" Felix says a few seconds after you left. Chan's first instinct is to cover his face again. "Look who got nervous so suddenly."
"Stop, I- I don't even want to talk about it." He murmurs, feeling flustered and avoiding Felix's gaze. He types something on his laptop and presses the play button, hoping that this way, his friend would forget about what just happened and could focus solely on the music.
And Felix doesn't talk about it anymore. The next few minutes are set by the music coming out of the speakers; the room filling with Chan's voice, singing the love songs that probably no one else would listen to. Felix seems to be concentrating on the lyrics, but Chan's thoughts are solely about you. As he listens to the songs, he is aware of how his skin bristles every time his hands accidentally touch you, the times when your eyes connect with his and you give him smiles every time it happens, all those times when his heart would race when he hugged you.... It's as if all those songs that professed a love he said he didn't feel, started to make sense.
He feels overwhelmed. Maybe if he was aware of it before, maybe if he listened to his heart instead of his head, this wouldn't be a big revelation to him.
Chan pauses the music, and before Felix can ask what's going on, he speaks up: "Why- why did I do that?"
"Did... what, exactly?" Felix asks, confused.
"The pickup line thing!" He blurts out. "I mean, I do that all the time, right? Why did I just forget how to even talk?"
Felix giggles, "Well, have you considered it's because when you use those pickup lines on us you just do it for laughing? To joke around with us, and with Y/N it's because... I don't know, you have feelings for him and it gets real? Like you're flirting with him."
Makes sense, he thinks. He remains in silence for a moment, processing everything that just happened and finally connecting the dots.
"Wait, you just had your epiphany?" Felix jokes. "It took you too, too long."
"I can barely fall asleep, how was I supposed to know I was falling in love?"
"Fair enough." He says, comprehensive. "Are you telling him?"
"Should I?" Chan's eyes sparkle, but he still feels confused. Should he even try? It's been so long since he last felt this way about someone, and given the circumstances of his life as an idol, he felt more reluctant to take the next step. Even more, considering he had just taken the first one by accepting his feelings a few minutes ago.
"I was right all this time by you being in love," He says. "And I am also sure that it's mutual. I've seen you two for a while, you know? I am surprised you didn't come the realization way earlier than this."
Chan giggles. "Alright, I get it."
"But it's up to you now, I guess. All I know is that you deserve to be happy, and you deserve good things... And Y/N is a great person. You should give yourself an opportunity on love."
Chan feels chills as he hears those words. Tonight's even have been too much for him to process, so he'll think deeply about it later.
"Okay," He nods. "Thanks, Lix. You've been really helpful."
"I know, what would you do without me?" Felix laughs. "Now let's keep listening to the songs, I am loving all of them."
Fortunately, the help Chan gave you really made it possible for you to finish the songs in no time. You are just now walking out of a meeting with your managers and the people in charge of the release of the album to set the final details, and you quickly send a message to Chan to let him know the news.
In the meantime, you drop by your studio to clean up a little and maybe write down some ideas for new songs that have been in your mind for a while. After a few minutes, you hear a knock on the door, snapping you out of your thoughts and then feeling confused. You weren't expecting anyone to come. So you slowly open the door, and a smile spreads across your face the moment you realize it's Chan.
"Oh, hi!" You greet him with a hug, immediately letting him in afterwards. He shyly gets inside, taking a seat on a chair and placing a bag on the small table behind him. "What brings you here? I thought you were still busy with you guys upcoming album."
"It's okay, Changbin is working on his stuff now at the studio, so I took the chance to come here and celebrate with you!" He grins. "Congratulations on making your first self-produced album!"
He starts clapping, making you smile; he truly was the sweetest person you've ever met.
As soon as he read your message he went to the nearby cafeteria and bought your favorite drink and pastries, claiming that it was a special occasion and should be celebrated.
"For all your hard work and the success of this album!" He makes a toast as he raises his cup of tea.
Soon you find yourselves immersed in a long conversation about everything that went into creating this album; from when you had the first idea for the concept, to those sleepless nights when he helped you without hesitation. Chan was definitely an essential part of this whole process, so to be celebrating with him right now felt right. It was how it should be.
"You know," Chan clears his throat as another song starts playing. "These past days I've had this thought in my head, and after talking it out with Felix... I am certain about it. And I want to tell you about it. I know I have to."
You frown, feeling curiosity, especially since his semblance has changed to be a bit more serious. He still has a small smile that gives you some kind of tranquility, but another part of you can't help but feel nervous as he gets a little bit closer.
"Of course, what is it?"
"So, uhm" He starts. "Some weeks ago, when Felix came to the studio and we were talking with you... Well, the reason he came was because he wanted to listen to some love songs I've worked on. And, after listening to all of them I figured out why I didn’t like them. I was sure I wasn't in love. That's why, to me, they all sounded plain and didn’t convey the feeling of love... But then..."
He makes a pause, catching his breath as he feels more and more nervous. He knows for sure his ears and cheeks are red right now, and it's impossible that you haven't noticed it. His hands slightly shake behind the table, anxiously looking for yours, but refraining from doing it because he doesn't know how this was going to end. You don't want to interrupt him, so you give him his time to clear his head and talk again.
"While listening to those songs, the only thought I had in mind was you." He finally confesses, with his gaze now fixed on his lap. "I guess that for a while I didn’t realise that I started to, uhm, catch feelings for you. And, it's okay if you don't feel the same way about me. I just really wanted to let you know because the thought has been on my mind for so long and I needed to let it out."
For a moment, the only thing that can be heard in the room is your voice coming from the speakers along with a sigh from Chan, who still didn’t dare to look up and face you.
"So... what you're saying is..." You speak up, feeling incredibly shy, trying to process the words addressed to you.
"What I am trying to say is that I am in love with you."
And you swear you could start screaming to the top of your lungs right now, but you try your very best to stay calm and finally grab Chan's hands. With that, he looks at you again.
"Channie," You softly say, looking at him in his precious eyes and dearly smiling. You don't even know where to begin, but a voice inside you begs for you to give him a hug. So you open your arms and embrace him tightly, feeling instant comfort and love. "I am so glad you feel this way too. I love you too."
Chan sighs in relief, placing his hands on your waist and pulling you closer; his nose pressed against the crook of your neck and closes his eyes, melting between your arms and enjoying every single second of that gesture.
"Wait a minute," You say out of nowhere, so he separates a bit from you and tilts his head. "That's why you couldn't even say a sentence when you tried to say a pickup line?"
You laugh when his expression changes to look ashamed, his lips frowned in a pout and his gaze avoiding your eyes again.
"Try again, I'm sure you're good at this." And Chan's head only comes up with the dozens of lines he has read, but seeing you smiling right in front of him and your arms over his shoulders, he can only think how lucky he is. He can't possibly say anything to you. "Alright, let me try instead."
You hum and recall all the pickup lines you've read and have been told before, "Hm, can I borrow a kiss? I promise I'll return it."
And you expected Chan to start laughing out loud, instead he starts blushing again and giggling, covering his face as he feels nervous.
"C'mon! Seriously?" You laugh and wait for him to stop being shy.
"You make me nervous, give me time." He excuses himself and laughs some more. "That was a good one, and you know what? You can borrow all the kisses you want, as long as you keep your word and return them."
"See? That's what I'm talking about!"
Chan fondly smiles at you, placing his hand on your head to pet your hair for a moment. You close your eyes as he does it, feeling his soft touch traveling all the way down to your chin. He rests his thumb on your cheek and after a few seconds you decide to open your eyes.
"Can I?" He murmurs as his gaze shifts from your eyes to your lips.
"You don't even have to ask."
And just as you give him permission, he breaks the distance between you two. He starts carefully, placing his lips against yours in a tender, chaste way, barely there pressure that makes you exhale through your nose as if you had been holding your breath all along. One of his hands still holds you by the waist, so he takes the opportunity to slide it to your lower back, carefully holding you and sending you shivers to your entire body.
You lean forward barely a few millimeters, but it's enough to feel more pressure over your lips. Chan angles his head and traps your bottom lip, tongue trying to dart out of his mouth to taste more of the sweetness of yours. He, however, contains himself and smiles in between the kiss, instead. He was probably gonna be the death of you.
The deep kiss loses intensity as a minute passes by, so you two end up giving smaller kisses and share smiles, your noses constantly touching in skimo kisses. And you think it's perfect; it's way better than what you one day imagined.
Chan can't miss the chance to make you sit on his lap, so now your head rests over his chest. Your fingers fidgeting the hem of his hoodie and shyly longing to intertwine your hands.
"Hey, Y/N?" He grabs your attention and smiles. "Are you a parking ticket?"
You raise an eyebrow, "Why?"
"Because you've got fine written all over you." He ends up with a muffled laughter.
"Oh no, what did I just get myself into?" You joke around, this time finally making him burst into a louder laughter. "You just declared war on me about pickup lines, you know?"
"Oh, so you got some lines, too? Can't wait to hear all of them, then."
And for the rest of the day you let yourself be held in between the arms of the person you loved the most. Later you'd find the way to flirt with him and make him feel flustered when he least expects it.

Well, here is the stupid thing I was alluding to. It’s mostly a filler chapter, but yeah.
Harley’s Plea for Help, Chapter 3
“Well, that took a while,” a relatively deep female voice smoothly drawled. The plants placed right next to the window pulled away, no longer blocking the pathway inside. The two figures who were perched right outside the windowsill took the invitation and climbed inside, the shorter of the two looking at the woman who had spoken and smiling widely.
“Auntie Ivy!” Marinette happily exclaimed, making the redhead across from her grin back.
“That’s me. It sure is nice to actually see you in person, little Marigold,” she held out her arms for a hug, which Marinette instantly ran in to accept. “Video calls are never quite enough, are they? You’re so tiny! Are you sure you eat alright?”
“Auntie Ivyyyyyy,” Marinette whined, knowing full well that Ivy was just teasing her.
“So, what took you all so long?” Ivy asked Red Hood, even as she kept her arms wrapped around her soon-to-be daughter in law. “Usually you bats are all about getting back on the streets to punch people, we didn’t think you’d be bringing her in at almost one in the morning.”
Hood shrugged, thumbs hooked in his pockets. “Your little garden fairy nearly gave us the slip. Went straight out the back exit instead of doin’ anything showy like we half expected and we almost missed her.”
“I stopped as soon as I noticed who they were, I swear!” Marinette pulled away from Ivy, holding her hands up in mock surrender. “I didn’t expect Momma to send them to babysit me before our first full day being in Gotham. In hindsight, though, I really should have.”
“Yeah, you should’ve,” Ivy agreed with a smirk, ruffling Marinette’s hair and making her pigtails go a little crooked. “And I know for a fact that you’ve done some stunts off your balcony back in Paris, so at least I know you can be responsible and hold yourself back from doing the same here. Must get that from me, because we both know it doesn’t come from Harley.”
Marinette and Hood both had to laugh at that. Being responsible was definitely not a trait that Marinette could have inherited from anybody in her family tree, that was for sure.
“Are ya makin’ fun of me in front of my daughter?” the comically scandalized voice announced the arrival of one Harley Quinn, who walked into the room in white onesie pajamas with a poker print on them. All of the “joker” cards were crossed out heavily with red sharpie, and a few of them had black-sharpie devil horns and handlebar mustaches vandalizing them. Marinette even caught one such card with a googly eye on it, the matching eye having fallen off and leaving only a small circle of since-dried hot glue where it used to be. “If you guys are gonna be that way, fine! Ivy dyes her hair!”
“No she doesn’t,” Marinette deadpanned, clearly fighting against a giant grin. The corners of her lips gave her away, they never stopped twitching with repressed mirth. “But you do. I got the pictures to prove—- aah!” Harley tackled her daughter to the ground, attacking her with tickles immediately.
“Take it back! My hair is naturally blond!”
“Yeah, naturally— hahahahaha! Sandy blonde! You— hahaha! Have just as much brown— stop I can’t breathe! hahahaha!— as yellow!”
“Hmph,” Harley finally backed off, crossing her eyes and looking away from Marinette with an exaggerated pout. “How dare you reveal my darkest secret?”
“I was a natural redhead even before I got my powers,” was all Ivy had to say, looking all too amused at this turn of events. “Your original costume completely covered your hair.”
“Don’t worry, Harley,” Red Hood butted in, reminding the three girls that he was still here. His tone suggested that he was definitely smiling under his helmet. “We found out about your hair dye years ago.”
“I just cover up the brown parts! It’s not like I’m changin’ much,” she argued before standing up again. “Thanks for gettin’ my cupcake back safely, little birdie. Oh, that's right! I made cupcakes! Hang on, lemme grab one for your trip back!” with that, she span on her heels and ran back further into the apartment. Marinette dashed over to Hood, immediately shoving him to the window.
“Quick, save yourself! Momma can’t bake for her life!” she whispered urgently. “I’ll say you were called away for an emergency, just hurry!”
“It’s not even a lie, getting away from Harley’s baking is an emergency,” Ivy agreed, waving as the vigilante took their advice and fled. It was only three seconds later that Harley slid back into the room, nearly falling due to the feet of her onesie having pretty much zero friction. Her face immediately fell when she saw that her victim was gone, leaving her standing there with a cupcake that was about twice as much frosting as actual cake, covered in sprinkles like a kid’s craft project that was smothered in glitter. The frosting was also shapeless, just heaped on the cake like a half-melted scoop of ice cream. She sighed in despair.
“There goes my chance of giving a bat diabetes. You guys warned him, didn’t ya?”
They both nodded shamelessly. “We’re not that cruel, Harley,” Ivy defended, getting up from her spot on her cushioned armchair and wrapping an arm around her fiance’s waist before she kissed the top of her head gently. “Hood got our little Marigold back safe and sound, and he’s even started a garden at his apartment. He doesn’t deserve to be poisoned by you.”
“I thought you said he got a single cactus at the flea market last month,” Harley deadpanned, making Ivy shrug.
“Might as well be a garden for him, and it’s something he’s not likely to kill so that’s a plus to me. He’s actually taking really good care of the little baby.”
“Speaking of garden!” Marinette gently took the sad excuse of a pastry away from her mom and sat it down on a side table before ushering both of them over to the living room and onto the sofa. “My garden back home is growing so big, I don’t think I can keep everything much longer. I barely have room to walk on the terrace, with all the vines and leaves and branches. Got any ideas of what I can do?”
“Of course! Do you have pictures, Marigold?”
—*—*—*—*—*
Slipping back through her hotel window at six in the morning was risky, since it involved climbing the wall and hoping nobody saw, but her classmates were so unpredictable that it was the only way she could be sure nobody would find out that she had violated curfew and snuck out. Of course, having Red Robin waiting outside her mom’s apartment’s terrace to escort her back helped. At least she knew that no street cams would record her comings or goings, and his grappling hook made the whole scale-the-hotel-wall business much more efficient.
Once she was inside, she sighed happily. “Thanks, now—“ her apology was cut off as Red Robin held up a finger to tell her to wait.
“Hold that thought, be right back. Don’t move.”
Thinking, rightfully, that something was wrong, Marinette obeyed. She watched Red Robin leap off of her hotel balcony and disappear into the streets. Immediately, she began a search to make sure her room had been left untampered— everything important had been packed in the backpack that she had taken to her mom’s place, but still. Could never be too careful. By the time she finished checking for bugs or any signs of snooping, Red Robin landed back on her balcony.
“Here we go.”
Turning to face him, Marinette opened her mouth to ask what the problem had been— only to tear up a little and walk over to the vigilante.
“Oh, my hero. Truly, my one and only savior. Knight in shining red Kevlar. I’m running on two hours of sleep and you have read my mind!” The pigtailed drama queen eagerly took the coffee that he offered her, and he sipped from a larger cup that looked like he had grabbed it from the same place. Marinette almost instantly sighed in gratitude when the hot drink lightly scalded her tongue. This. This was the elixir of life.
To his credit, Red Robin was able to restrain himself to merely an amused smirk. Probably because he was running on just as little sleep as she was. “Sorry it’s only a small, I figured it was best to have something you could finish quickly and easily hide the evidence for. If you need more caffeine, I happen to know that Wayne Enterprises has a very good coffee shop in their main hall. You’ll be touring there today, right?” He asked, taking another sip as he waited for the answer that he already knew.
Marinette nodded absently, drinking in the euphoria of her coffee as she tried to both savor it yet finish it as quickly as safely possible. When she came up for air, she said; “Yeah, that’s right. We’re touring Wayne Enterprises for most of the day, having lunch there, and leaving for dinner after the tour. Then we have a visit to the Gotham Museum of Fine Art, and we’ll stay there until about eight-thirty before heading back to the hotel.”
Red Robin nodded, then turned and looked out the window at the slowly rising sun. Sunrise was always a bit later in Gotham, partly because of the abundance of high-rises and partly because of the thick cloud cover and ever-present fog on the edges of the city making everything seem darker than it should have been. He had to be at work soon himself, which is why he had been chosen to escort her to the hotel in the first place, but that meant that he had to be heading off.
“Alright. We arranged for a bodyguard we trust to keep an eye on your class during the WE tour, but he doesn't know who you are or that we’re the ones who asked. We’re still in the process of arranging someone to shadow you after the tour, but we’ll tell you about that once it’s solidified. Until then, follow the usual self-defense procedures if you suspect anyone of following you. You have the panic button we gave you?”
Marinette nodded, gulping down the last of her coffee and carefully putting it in her room’s tiny trash can. “Got it. Thanks, again. Seriously,” she met his eyes— or, probably did since they were hidden behind that weird white film that the whole Batfam had covering the eyeholes of their masks. “I mean it. For listening to me, for listening to Mom. It means a lot. I’ll keep the panic button on me, and I’ll use it if I think I can’t handle a situation on my own. I’ll cooperate with the people you get to watch over the class, and I’ll do my best to not get into any trouble. No promises, but I’ll do my best,” she maintained eye contact until Red Robin nodded, hiding his expression behind his coffee cup. After a second, he cleared his throat.
“Well then. We’ll contact you once we have anything to say about your intel. Until then, I gotta go. And by the way?”
Marinette tilted her head curiously as Red Robin paused for just a moment on her balcony railing, aiming a smirk back at her. “Yeah?”
“Welcome to Gotham.”
And if she couldn’t help but smile widely as he grappled off into the fog-veiled sunrise? Well, only she had to know. She wasted no time closing and locking the glass balcony door, and pulling the curtains over it completely. Once that was done, she couldn’t help but do a little shimmy of Joy. She was caffeinated, she met Auntie Ivy in person for the first time, she got to sleep next to her momma— and she was in Gotham! Technically her hometown— or town she was conceived in? Didn’t matter. Point was, even with the chaos and dark energy clouding the very air, she couldn’t help but feel like she belonged in that city. Like that was where she was always meant to end up, where she could thrive and the environment that she was made to thrive in. The environment that she was born to start fixing.
She beamed at herself in her bathroom mirror as she gave herself one more once-over. Yeah, so far her visit to Gotham was going much better than she could have hoped. Now, she just had to make sure it stayed that way.
Three businesslike raps sounded against the door to her room, just in time for Marinette to feed Tikki one more cookie and straighten her purse on her shoulder. Madame Mendelieve’s voice called out from the other side of the door in her usual no-nonsense bark;
“Dupain-Cheng! Room check! It’s time to get up, we’re meeting down in the lobby in ten minutes.”
Marinette ran up to the door, not quite able to contain her energy, and swung it open with her trademark large, beaming smile.
“Way ahead of you, Madame Mendelieve!”
Her science teacher blinked, adjusting her glasses on her nose as if she couldn’t quite believe what she was seeing.
“Ah. You’re already awake and ready?”
Marinette giggled and nodded. “Yup! I was so excited for the tour that I could barely sleep! Does the hotel breakfast include free coffee?”
—*—*—*—*—*
The hotel breakfast did, in fact, include coffee. What it did not include, however, was free coffee that Marinette could reasonably stomach. Especially after the heaven in a cup that Red Robin had gotten for her earlier, the watered down motor oil in the hotel lobby had been unbearable. She had barely managed two sips before regretfully throwing the rest away. Which is what brought her to stand in line at the very same coffee shop that Red Robin had mentioned was in the main hall of Wayne Enterprises, as the rest of her class mingled and waited for their teachers to check their tour group in and their tour guide to arrive.
“Hmm. Sorry, this is my first time ordering here,” she apologized when she reached the counter, gaining a slight lopsided grin from the barista at the register. “Um, I usually like strong coffee, with a lot of caffeine, but I also like something sweet. I don’t need anything too complicated though, do you have any recommendations?”
The barista gave her a customer service smile that seemed just a tad softer at the edges than usual. “Sure! So, we can add an extra shot or two of espresso to any of our drinks, to make it stronger and give it an extra kick. If you’re looking for good sweet flavors, the classics are our white chocolate or caramel. But we also have a seasonal syrup right now that I personally love, which is our cinnamon butterscotch. Did you wanna try that?”
Marinette smiled widely. “That sounds delicious! Then, if I could have your largest size café latte, hot, with… two extra shots and that syrup? Does that sound good?”
The barista actually let loose a soft laugh, already keying in the order. “If you’re a coffee lover and a sweet tooth at the same time, then you’ll love it. If not, come back during your tour’s lunch break and I’ll make you something else.”
Marinette made a little more small talk as she handed over the proper cash for the order, and grabbed her drink after just another minute’s wait. She turned around, taking a sip of the unsurprisingly heavenly coffee and started off to join her class.
Only to realize none of them were where she had left them. She sighed, starting to reach into her purse to see if anyone had texted her about where they were going, but a heavy presence stopped her. She could feel him approaching from in front of her, slightly to her right, but she couldn’t hear him at all. On guard, she straightened up and turned to observe the potential threat.
A security guard. Marinette blinked, running over what she had been told earlier that morning. Was he..?
He seemed to notice her instinctually defensive posture because he raised his hands to show he meant no harm. “Sorry, didn’t mean to catch you off guard,” he apologized. “I’m the guard that was assigned to your tour group. I offered to stay behind until you got your coffee while the rest of your group went ahead and got the run-down on all the boring rules and whatnot of the tour. Figured you’d already know everything they had to say anyway, you’re the class president right?”
Marinette relaxed her posture, nodding and sending the man a relieved smile. “Yeah, that’s right. Well, that explains why they left without me then. Usually Madame Mendelieve is strict about following rules though, how’d you convince her to go on without me?”
The man chuckled, jerking his head to show that she should follow him as he began to lead the way to a side door. Marinette kept her guard up just in case, but wasn’t too worried. If nothing else, she was still in the middle of a super crowded building and the other security guards around didn’t seem concerned. She could easily yell for help if she needed to.
“Well, can’t you tell it was my devilish charm?” He teased, grinning. He waited until she rolled her eyes to continue; “but really, I’m like a second tour guide. She made me show a lotta proof that I’m actually assigned to you guys and not just faking it, not that I can blame her. Eventually she saw the logic in my suggestion and agreed. See, there they are,” he pointed casually ahead of them in the large side hallway they had entered. Sure enough, near the end of the hallway was her class at what looked to be the tail-end of a standard rules-and-guidelines speech from the tour guide. “By the way,” the guard spoke up again, holding his hand out. “My name’s Jason. You’ll be seeing me more often, since I’m supposed to guard you guys for all of your visits to the Tower. Call me if you need help with anything, ‘kay kid?”
Marinette grinned, now positive that this guy really was the guard that Red Robin had said was assigned to her class. She switched the hand she was holding her coffee in so that she could properly grab Jason’s hand for a shake.
“Got it, Monsieur Jason. Let’s both hope I don’t end up needing your help though, I think that would be easier on both of us,” she joked, earning a chuckle from the large man. And— yeah, now that she was relaxed, he really was big, wasn’t he? Then again, Marinette didn’t always realize when people were a bit larger or more buff than they should be. Living with her dad had seriously skewed her perception of the normal size of an adult male (which, she learned when she was seven, most definitely was not almost seven feet tall and muscled enough to make a pro wrestler jealous). But she would like to think she had gotten better in that aspect, and Jason was definitely a big guy. A little over six feet tall, she thought, and though the guard outfit hid a good portion of his physique, she could tell he carried enough muscle to do serious damage if he wanted to.
With a wave, she left him to join her class and sipped at her latte. She had figured that the Bat Clan’s criteria for civilians that they would put to guard her class had to be high, but now she had to wonder just how high. Most police officers or security guards were fit, sure, but not like Jason. Casting a quick glance back at him, she confirmed that he had quite a few faded but visible scars. Again, more than your average officer even for Gotham. Who had they tasked with her class’ safety, exactly?
An elbow in her side distracted her from her thoughts, forcing her to blink and stop her cup from going back to her lips. The grin of none other than Adrien Agreste greeted her when she snapped out of her own head long enough to pay attention to her surroundings. He jerked his head to indicate that the class was already starting to move off.
“Come on, Mari or you’ll get left behind again,” he teased. She grinned back at him, rolling her eyes but falling into step beside him as they followed at the back of their class. “If I didn’t know any better, I’d think you were gonna marry that coffee. You haven’t zoned out that badly in years,” his tone was light and cheery, but Marinette didn’t miss the concern in his emerald eyes. She sighed, gently bumping her shoulders against his in silent reassurance.
“I’m fine. Just didn’t get much sleep last night, that’s all. But this really is good coffee. Elixir of the gods,” then, just to provoke him, she took a giant gulp of the still steaming hot drink. Adrien grimaced in pained sympathy even though Marinette didn’t seem affected at all.
“Oww, Marineeeeeeeeeette,” he whined. “Don’t do that, my throat hurts just watching you guzzle hot coffee like that,” he complained, rubbing at his neck to make his point clear.
“Wimp,” she teased, unrepentant. Adrien just groaned dramatically.
“I’m not a wimp, you’re just concerningly used to burning your throat from the inside out,” he accused. “Anyway, how’d it go?” He was being deliberately vague, but it was obvious to her what he meant. He was only one she had told about visiting her mom, after all, just in case she needed a quick getaway.
In fact, he was the only one of her friends that she had even told about her biological parents. Alix knew too, but only because of time shenanigans. Marinette was fine with it now, but still.
“It went great,” she smiled widely at him, keeping her voice low but casual. “If I have a chance, I’ll introduce you sometime during the trip. I have a feeling you’ll love Auntie Selina, but I have to meet her first. All I have so far are stories.”
“Fair enough,” Adrien agreed easily. “But you don’t have to, you know that right? I’d love to meet your family, but I’m also fine just being your pseudo-brother like I have been up until now. I know it might be a bit… uncomfortable, for you.”
“Nah,” Marinette shrugged. “Nerve wracking, maybe. But that’s also about half the things that I do in my life period, anxiety is no joke. I’ll catastrophize for a while, but I know you’ll love them and they’ll love you.”
“Sounds like they have paw-some taste,” he didn’t even miss a beat with his puns, earning a playful glare for his efforts.
“Never mind. You’re a heathen. Disowned. Who are you?”
“Mariiiiii,” he whined, causing them both to laugh for a while before focusing on the tour.
So far, so good, Marinette thought.

hiya! Could u write a Peter Parker X Fem!Reader (who are both Avengers, and a new couple) prank Nat and Tony (Their individual parental figures)? Mainly fluff! Thanks
oh thats so cute! i'm trash at pranks so we're going for a classic alexa/siri/generic ai prank
-------------------------------
You wouldn't think my boyfriend (my boyfriend! Still felt kinda weird to say) could sneak up on an enemy soundlessly in seconds, not when he's stuffing socks in his mouth to keep from laughing.
"Give me the damn thing, you're gonna trip it before they're here!" I whispered, reaching out for the remote held tightly in Peter's hand. He let me take it, trying to take deep breaths through the socks. I clapped my hand over my mouth to keep from laughing too.
Okay, perhaps we hadn't exactly gone for finesse, but in our defense it had taken two hours to hack past Tony's firewalls built into FRIDAY. and we were running out of time before he and Natasha were gonna come back with pizza.
I tugged the socks out of Peter's mouth, immediately putting a finger to my lips. He copied me, shifting closer so our shoulders were touching. Leaning in, he turned his head so his lips touched my ear. "We're not about to get murdered by a trained assassin and... Mr. Stark, right?"
"I mean..." I paused, contemplating how possibly srupid we were for trying to prank two Avengers. "...they love us, we'll be fine."
Peter's head snapped to the doorway. "Oh my god they're here oh my god I'm so exci-"
I slapped my hand across his mouth. "If they're here then shut up!"
His eyes sparkled with excitement and very briefly kissed my palm. I could hear footsteps now- a little later than Peter but in enough time to make sure we were fully concealed behind the sofa and gave Peter the remote to let his reflexes control the pressing of the button.
Tony and Nat's voices got closer and closer and I waited impatiently for the change in foot pattern that indicated they'd just stepped onto the wood of the living room.
A single tap.
Leather shoe meets hardwood floor.
My eyes met Peter's for a split second, and he pressed the button.
"WHAT. ARE YA DOIN. IN MY SWAMP."
Shrek's voice on the highest setting screamed into the room with a harmony of confused yelling from our two victims.
All the lights in the room were a vivid green, and the chorus of 'All Star' by Smashmouth echoed off the walls.
From under the chaos, there came the faint desperation of Tony yelling for FRIDAY to turn it off, for god's sake turn it off-
The green light dimmed, the music stopped and all you could hear was Peter and me laughing hysterically from behind the sofa. We were clutching each other tight, tears in our eyes and faces red.
I could hardly breathe I was laughing so hard, and it didn't seem that Peter was faring much better. We tumbled out from behind the sofa at the feet of Tony and Nat. I was trying my best to take in shaky breaths before I passed out.
"Kid, what the fu- what the hell was that?" Tony asked, hands on hips in faux anger. Peter coughed, attempting to calm down- an attempt that was foiled as soon as he looked at me and we burst into laughter again.
Nat poked at me with her boot. "Hey, why were we assulted with that horrendous greeting?"
I wriggled into an upright position, legs crossed. Refusing to look at Peter, I looked up at Nat's amused face and arranged my features into a blank expression. "Well, what are you doing in my swamp?"
That got another peal of laughter from Peter, and I felt my heart warm at the idea that I could make him laugh.
Nat rolled her eyes, gesturing to the boxes in her hand. "Bringing you ungrateful brats pizza, but I guess Tony and I will just go eat it by ourselves."
Tony offered her his arm, and they began to walk away.
Peter and I scrambled up, tailing them like kids. "Nuuuu we want pizza!" I whined. "We're really sorry, aren't we Parker?" Peter nodded frantically, eyes fixed on the pizza boxes as his hand slipped into mine.
Nat paused. "Well I suppose if you're reeaalllly sorry..."
"We are, Ms. Romanoff, we're so sorry!" Peter begged.
She hummed. "Mm, okay, come on kids." We'd made it to the kitchen, and she put the cardboard down. "But remember-"
Peter and I paused as we went to open the boxes.
"Tony and I make a formidable team when we want to. You don't want to mess with us..."
Peter and I looked at each other wide eyed. "Prank war?" I breathed.
Tony slid us plates. "Prank war."

Love is Complicated
gifs by hqtchner & ncis-season-
Pairing: Hotch x reader, Gibbs x reader
Warnings!: angst, pining, kissing, fluff
Request: "well i was thinking about a criminal minds x ncis crossover, where the reader has a big crush on gibbs but then she meets hotch and she is really confused 😿" @wolviesbabes
--------
Your hand scribbled yet another word on the endless stack of paperwork that littered your desk. It really did never end. You set your pen down. You needed a break. You looked up and your eyes instantly found him. He was hunched over his desk, probably doing the same thing you were doing.
But God, did he look good doing it. Although in your opinion he looked good doing just about everything.
You noticed that about him over the past couple months on the NCIS team. You had been transfered from another similar unit in New Orleans on the recommendation of Dwayne Pride himself. Gibbs was quick to accept you to the unit, but he remained cold to you for the first couple of weeks. It wasn't until you saved him from a, for lack of better words, crazy gunman did he warm up to you.
After that, you two had gotten extremely close. So close that you developed a small crush on the man. Although, you hid it rather well. No one, atleast not to your knowledge, knew about your crush. And you intended on keeping it that way, but it was so hard when he was just sitting right in front of you, looking all handsome and just... him.
You wanted to tell him. You really did. But he was way out of your league, and you weren't even his type. But a girl could dream.
Vance suddenly came out of his office and called Gibbs up. He stood slowly and walked away. You prayed this wasn't a case. You really did not feel like dealing with a case right now.
He came back out a few moments later, a scowl on his face.
"What is it Gibbs?" You asked, he jerked his head towards Vance's office.
"He wants the team to attend an interagency gala on Saturday night." You scoffed. Of course he did. "FBI, CIA, and NCIS teams are all expected to attend. Including us." His scowled deepened at the thought of having to deal with other agencies.
"Great, just great." And you were so looking forward to a quiet weekened.
* * *
The night of the gala had arrived much quicker than expected. And of course Abby had insisted on going shopping for dresses. She herself had gotten a long black dress, with a slit. She said she would add a few things to make it more like her, and you couldn't wait to see it. You had gone with a more subtle dress. A long emerald green dress, with spaghetti straps and an open back. The front dipped slightly.
You had brought it with you to the office so you could get ready with Abby and as you were heading to the elevator to go to her floor, you heard Gibbs on the phone. Now you weren't one to eavesdrop, but you really couldn't stop yourself.
"I know, I know, it won't take long. I promise. Bye." Was he with someone else? You stood there frozen as he emerged from the room he was in.
"Hey y/n. Whatchtya doin?" He asked suspiciously.
"Oh, um nothing Gibbs, thought I heard you and wanted to say bye before we left, I didnt think you would actually go to the gala tonight, so I thought I could just stop in and-" he cut you off.
"Slow down, you're rambling. You okay?" You needed to get out of there.
"Yup, just been a long day. Alright well bye." You rushed off to Abby office. Once you got there, she instantly asked what was wrong. You explained everything. Your feelings, the conversation you heard, just everything.
"Awe, y/n/n. I'm so sorry. He's stupid if he doesn't see whats right in front of him." That made you smile.
"We should get ready." You stated standing up to grab your dress.
2 hours later, you and Abby walked up stairs looking amazing if you did say so yourself. Wolf whistles were heard coming from Tony as you two walked towards the group. You rolled your eyes, catching Gibbs smirk.
His eyes dragged up and down your body, which had confused you greatly. He had never showed any interest in you before, why now? Maybe he had and was just better at hiding it.
"Well, we should get going." You nodded, you all walked out to the SUVs ready for the night ahead of you.
* * *
The gala was interesting to say the least. Each agency decided to stay away from eachother, like elementary students. Each group taking up their own circle around the room.
You had spotted a rather handsome man who you had recognized as Aaron Hotchner sitting at the FBI tables and couldn't seem to take your eyes off of him. You new you had feelings for Gibbs,, but something about this man just drew you in. You had previously met him on a conjoined case with your old team, and you had developed the smallest of crushes on the man. You never expected anything to happen, and he was only in New Orleans for about a week.
Suddenly Gibbs popped back into your head, and you huffed slightly, turning to search for him. Finding him at a table nearby, talking with a woman. You scoffed and he looked over at you.
In a moment of impulse, you tunred away and walked across the empty dance floor straight to Agent Hotchner. He looked up from his conversation as you neared his table.
"Hi, NCIS Agent Y/l/n. We worked together on the Williams case about a year back." He nodded in recognition.
"Of course. Its great to see you again agent y/l/n." He paused looking you up and down in a way you welcomed. "Can I help you with something." He asked, not unkindly at all, but rather friendly.
"I was wondering if you would like to dance." He raised an eyebrow at you. "Someone's got to break the chill in this room." He nodded and stood up slowly, his team staring on in awe. You figured he didn't do this very often.
"I would love to." He took your hand bringing you to the dance floor as another song began. You two danced for about 10 minutes before more couples began to join you. You smiled in triumph and Hotchner laughed at your face.
"What? It worked didn't it?" He smiled shaking his head.
"I suppose it did." You two began talking and laughing and just getting to know each other. You soon found yourself at a table as you continued with your conversation.
"Okay but, im just saying if Strauss is anything like Vance, they would be perfect together." He laughed at this rather loudly, catching the eyes of a few people near by.
"That would never happen. If Vance is anything like Strauss they would drive each other crazy." You giggled softly. Soon it was time to leave, and Agent Hotchner, or Aaron as he had asked you to call him, offered to walk you to your SUV where the rest of your team was waiting. They all eyed you as this strange man walked you over, handing you a card and pressing a soft kiss to your cheek. You had blushed profusely and walked over, getting in the car.
"So y/n, whos the hottie?" Abby began interrogating you as soon as you shut your door.
"Thats Agent Hotchner. He's the Unit Chief of the FBI's BAU." You smiled to yourself.
"Must be an ass if he's from the FBI." Gibbs remarked, another scowl gracing his face.
"He was actually quite the gentlman." Was your only response before turning to look out the window. Gibbs was the one being an ass. You had just spent the night with a wonderful man and Gibbs just had to ruin it by spouting some snarky comment that only confused you more. The rest of the ride was spent in silence.
* * *
Once back at the office, Gibbs had called you to the elevator, not giving you a chance to respond. You had of course listened, and as soon as the doors shut, he had pulled the emergency button.
"What is it Gibbs?" You asked softly. He just walked closer to you, cupping your face. "What are you doing?" He leaned in slowly bringing his lips to yours.
And you had expected it to be perfect and explosive and passionate. But... it wasn't. He pulled away after only a moment.
"Hang on, let me try that again." And he leaned in once more, pressing his lips to yours. But once again, there was nothing. He pulled away.
"That was ... strange?" He asked, more to himslef than anything.
"I uh, that-that was-"
"Not what I was expecting." He finished for you.
"You know Gibbs, I've been pining over you for months, and I'm guessing you felt the same. But I think we both met someone else tonight that changed our minds." You recalled him spending the whole night side by side with the woman you had seen earlier. You smiled shyly at him. "Call that woman you were with tonight. Tell her you want to go out on a date." He smiled looking into your eyes.
"Only if you call Agent Hochie, or whatever his name was, and tell him the same." You laughed at not only his comment, but the absurdity of the situation. For the past 5 months you had been yearning for a man who ended up not being what you wanted at all. It made you think that maybe what you really wanted, what you both really wanted, was someone to love. So you latched on to the person who had become closest to you.
"I love ya y/n." He whispered as he pressed a kiss to your forehead.
"I love you too Gibbs. Now go get her." He stepped out of the elevator, pulling out his phone. You did the same, pulling out Aaron's card. It rang once. Twice.
"Hotchner." You giggled at his formal greeting. Taking a deep breath before going for it.
"Hey Aaron, I was just wondering if you were up for dinner?" He smiled.
"Of course. You know, I'm really glad you called."
"Me too." And you walked out of your office that night, a date with a man you had never expected, and a smile on your face.

The Invitation
Friday is here, and I’m actually being dragged in office today. What a waste of a lovely Friday the 13th.
As always, thank you so much for reading along and sticking with me on this journey. I have had so much fun with these characters, and I love seeing that others are enjoying them, too!! All of your comments, reblogs, and various interactions have been so appreciated. These keep your local writer writer-ing.
It had taken a few weeks, but things with the club had settled down. At least, that’s what everyone wanted to believe. There were plenty of things bubbling in the background, but most of the Mayans were looking for a quick reprieve from the constant stress.
Kat’s mobile buzzed on her desk, and she grinned as she glanced at Coco’s name on the screen. It felt strange to have his contact information saved in her phone, but she really liked it. She’d even been bold enough to use a photo of them as her background.
“Hello there,” she answered, tucking her pencil behind her ear.
“Hey, dulce,” he replied, his voice a little hesitant.
“That’s your cancelling our plans voice,” she said, her smile slipping. Coco chuckled.
“I’m not cancelling, just wondering if we can change them,” he continued. “Letti is moving in with me full time, so I think it’s probably time you met her.”
“Oh, um… that’s fine,” Katarina agreed, wishing she’d sounded more excited. She’d heard many stories about Coco’s daughter, most filled with hijinks, and she was thrilled to meet her. Kat knew it was a big thing to meet Letti, and while she was ready for that step, she was terrified that the girl wouldn’t like her.
“Is it too soon?” he asked. “I mean, we been doin’ this for a while. I figured three months was serious enough,” Coco added, wondering why Kat seemed hesitant.
“No, it’s not. I’d love to meet her. Should I come to yours tonight?” she questioned, trying harder to make sure Coco knew she appreciated being incorporated into his life.
“Yeah. Can you come by around six? I told her it was casual, but Letti’s makin’ this whole thing. I know you ain’t usually off by then, but you try tellin’ her,” he laughed. Kat heard his lighter click on the other end, and she could imagine him nervously shifting his weight as he smoked.
“I can make that work,” she answered, looking at her calendar. She had a meeting at five, but she’d just have to try and reschedule. Kat wasn’t going to meet Letti for the first time dressed in her boring work suit. “Three months, huh? What are you measuring that by, exactly?”
Coco chuckled again. Kat smiled, enjoying how uncomfortable he seemed about all of this. He loved her, and he was open about that, but Coco still wasn’t used to all of the couple things.
“Get back to work, slacker,” he snickered, hanging up the phone. Kat looked at the now-black screen, grinning at his avoidance. She put her cell phone down, swapping it for the headset on her work phone.
A few hours later, Katarina found herself running late. She hadn’t been able to reschedule her meetings for the afternoon, and one of them had gone over by thirty minutes. Despite the new time crunch, she’d still rushed home, swapping her pantsuit for her favourite jeans and the first sweatshirt she’d seen.
As she jogged down the stairs to her car, Kat briefly wondered if a cropped black sweater was appropriate. She hadn’t met anyone’s kids before, and she wasn’t sure if she needed to be more buttoned up.
One look at her watch and Katarina decided she didn’t have time to change or worry about her outfit. She started up her car and headed for Coco’s, internally cursing her tardiness.
Coco’s street was packed with cars, and she had to park a few blocks away. It was normally a busy area, most houses having more cars than could fit in the driveway. Katarina hated running, but she hated the idea of making a bad first impression more.
The front door swung open before Kat even knocked. Coco stood in the doorway, chuckling at her as she tried to catch her breath.
“For someone who works out a lot, you’re sure winded,” he commented, pressing a kiss to her temple as he invited her in. “And really sweaty,” he grimaced, wiping his mouth.
“I ran for you. The least you can do is appreciate it and embrace my sweatiness.”
“Well, how ‘bout I make you this sweaty again later, and then I’ll appreciate the hell out of it,” he offered, giving her a look that didn’t leave any question as to how he’d make her sweaty.
From the other room, Kat heard a loud fake gag. A beautiful girl with long, dark hair appeared from the living room, making a face at Coco. She was a lot older than Katarina had imagined.
“Are you trying to scar me?” she asked. Coco’s eyes went wide, clearly having plenty of things to say about that, but the girl interrupted him. “Don’t add on to that.” She turned her full attention to Katarina, pressing a bottle of beer into her hand. “I really thought Coco had to be exaggerating, but you really are that hot,” she commented, looking Kat over.
Kat felt her cheeks heat up, unprepared for that specific type of compliment. Letti’s neutral expression made it clear that she wasn’t trying to butter her up; she was genuinely surprised at Katarina’s appearance.
“Coco said you’ll eat anything so I made waffles,” Letti continued, turning to walk back to the kitchen. Kat stood frozen for a moment.
“She ain’t shy,” Coco muttered, shaking his head at Letti’s whirlwind entrance.
“When you said kid, you meant…”
“She’s sixteen,” he said, knowing what Kat was trying to ask. He looked a little embarrassed, realising he should have told her that before now. “She’s my youngest. I ain’t got contact with the others, though,” Coco explained, putting his hand on Kat’s back.
“Hey, Kat, how many waffles do you want?” Letti shouted from the kitchen. “Also, can I call you Kat? I know Coco does, but I didn’t know if that was like a thing or what,” Letti kept going, firing off more questions and comments as she moved around.
Katarina looked a little bit overwhelmed, not prepared for the inundation of chatter. She took a quick breath, giving Coco a brief eyebrow raise to let him know they’d have to talk more later. Knowing he had three kids over the age of sixteen made Kat realise she had no idea how old Coco actually was.
“Just one is great,” she grinned, pulling plates out of the cabinet above the stove. “Please call me Kat, too. Katarina feels so formal.”
“Katarina,” Letti repeated, trying to imitate Kat’s accent. “It sounds fancy when you say it. Hey, how do you say Leticia?” she asked, turning back to the waffle maker for a second. It was starting to smoke just slightly, and Kat jumped in, helping her to remove the waffle before it was totally singed. “Thanks, I’m shit at cooking.”
Kat laughed, shaking her head. “You’re not that bad. Trust me, I was way worse when I first started cooking.” Katarina grinned back at Letti, glad that their evening seemed to be starting off so well. “And, to be honest, I’m scared to pronounce your name. I’m so sure I’ll butcher it,” she admitted.
“C’mon, try it,” she encouraged, stepping back as Kat started making another waffle.
“Leticia,” Kat tried, her c sounding more like a z. Her pronunciation wasn’t very similar to Coco’s, but Letti didn’t look unhappy.
Coco watched them from the doorway, a fond smile on his face. He’d never really seen Kat cook. He also knew Letti was sneakily letting Kat finish making dinner, but Coco loved seeing them laughing together. It felt like a family, and he’d never had that. Instead of being scared, he felt hopeful.
Kat pointed to the pile of bacon Letti had already cooked, the two of them talking about something Coco couldn’t hear. As she crumbled up some bacon and added a dash of cheese to the batter, Coco realised Kat actually knew how to cook. Like really cook.
“You told me you couldn’t cook,” he commented, coming to stand behind Kat. He rested his chin on her shoulder, watching as she turned the waffle maker.
“No, I told you I didn’t cook,” Kat replied, leaning back against his chest. She tensed up a bit as she remembered Letti was his daughter. The girl honestly felt more like a friend or sister. “Is this weird?” Kat questioned, gesturing between her and Coco.
Letti shrugged. “Not really? Is it supposed to be?”
“I don’t know. I never even saw my dad smile, so I’m not the person to ask,” Kat replied, holding her hands up.
“I found out Coco was my dad like six months ago.”
Katarina bit back the ‘you what?’ she wanted to say, turning her head to try and look at Coco. He was too close for her to see his expression, but she could see his cheeks were dusted red.
“We should eat before it gets cold,” he said, changing the subject. Coco let go of Kat, grabbing two plates and carrying them to the table.
“Hey, Kat,” Letti began, reaching for the woman’s arm. Kat paused, staying behind as Coco sat down. “I know it’s not a… regular situation, but Coco’s a really good guy.”
“He really is,” Kat agreed, nodding. She waited a little longer, sensing Letti wanted to say something else.
“I think you’re really good for him, too. He’s definitely a lot happier,” she continued, toying with the ends of her hair. In a way, her nervousness about emotional things reminded Kat of Coco. “And don’t worry about staying over. I’ve got headphones, and I’ll sleep on the couch so I’m even further from Coco’s room,” Letti added, shrugging like it was a totally natural thing to say.
“Good to know,” Kat replied, having no idea what else to say.
“I also used to do porn, so I’m pretty sure you won’t actually scar me with anything,” she mentioned, walking in to join Coco at the table.
Kat slowly nodded her head. It wasn’t something she’d expected a minor to say, but she really wasn’t going to examine it too closely. Letti seemed like the kind of girl who made her own way in the world, not letting anyone hold her back or tell her what to do. She might go about it differently, but Kat saw some similarities in their personalities.
It seemed like they were going to be friends in no time, and Kat wondered why she’d ever been nervous to meet Letti. While she wasn’t a copy of Coco, Letti definitely had his same way of accepting her into her life. It wasn’t going to be a hard transition to becoming part of their family.

Tired Feet and Nimble Fingers
Sooo.....
I wrote more Ravio fics. This is one of two, the second one still needs to be reread and checked for errors, but rest assured to whomever requested a fic for Ravio getting some fussing, I nearly killed the kid for you :)
Mr. Hero had nice hands.
Oh sure, they were rather thin, and a bit knobby at the knuckles, aged in a way most people their age would not understand for decades yet, but they were nimble, quick, and forever flitting from one thing to another with the easy grace of a person who’s done everything with their life except sit still and rest.
Mr. Hero’s hands were worn and aged but feather light in their touch and still impossibly firm when he’d grab Ravio by the scarf and pull him down the one inch that was between the two of them so he could glare at him for one thing or another. Honestly, he rarely really did anything questionable, but the ever irritated “Why?” that Mr. Hero always shot at him when he raised the price of an item or tacked on another fee, be it emotional repercussions charges for tending his wounds, or a petty increase when he’d been made to actually worry for someone else, or even in the rare instance when Mr. Hero managed to actually make him angry. Either way, soft or firm, Mr. Hero had nice hands, and on the rare instance Ravio had actually seen him remove his rings (Mr. Hero had complained of swelling, and had nearly had to pry them off) he always smiled at the sight of them.
Was that weird? Probably. But there was a lot you could tell about a person by their hands, and Mr. Hero’s told the story of someone who gave and fought for others since he’d been able, and even if the caring person hid behind the shadows of his bangs or the icy pain in his eyes, Ravio knew that person was still in there.
And at times like this, he got to actually see it.
“What are you doing?” The merchant shifted uncomfortably, glancing down at the other end of the couch where Mr. Hero had been sitting since he’d stumbled through the door with a tired groan. He’d collapsed onto the couch not long after, drenched and covered in mud, and it had been all Ravio could do to convince him to shed his extra layers and change into something clean, at least. Sure, he’d had to actually dig through the scant wardrobe in the bedroom to find something, but once the over-sized tunic had been shoved in the veteran hero’s face, he’d agreed to strip off his wet things, and Ravio had given him the space to do so while he’d made some warm cocoa for the two of them.
He would have preferred cider, but Mr. Hero still refused to share the recipe with him.
Now, however, he’d flopped onto the couch himself, uncaring for the fact that he’d had to settle his legs in the lap of his friend. After all, if Mr. Hero minded, he would have pushed him off. As was though, the pink-haired teen was staring at his feet with no small amount of displeasure, and Ravio was half considering pulling them back to himself and resigning himself to just curling up on the couch into one corner so he could give the other boy his space.
Firm hands latched around his boot, tugging with a small grunt and surprising the merchant greatly. “Mr. Hero, I just-”
“No shoes.” The pink-haired hero huffed. “Not on the couch.”
“Says the one who trudges dirt all over my freshly cleaned floors!” Ravio huffed, trying not to wiggle too much as Mr. Hero not only pulled off his shoes but, after making a disgusted face at the smell of his feet, had also yanked his socks off, throwing them over to the pile of sopping laundry on the floor. Ravio made a note to pick that up and help wash it later.
“My floors.” Mr. Hero corrected him, tugging the towel Ravio had given him earlier off of his shoulders and wiping its wet ends over the merchant’s feet, making him stiffen. “It’s my house I’ll have you know.”
“Mr. Hero, are you- are you cleaning my feet?”
“It’s not like you ever do it, when’s the last time you bathed, you filthy bunny?”
“Two days ago.” Ravio huffed into his cocoa, savoring the taste and the thrum of warmth that bloomed in his chest both at the drink and the sensation of Mr. Hero’s nimble fingers helping to clean the grime from his, admittedly, filthy feet. “More recently than you, I daresay, Mr. Hero.”
“I just showered.” Violet eyes flitted up to meet his as Mr. Hero motioned to the door ad likely the stormy weather outside.
“That doesn’t count!”
“It does for me.”
“When did you last bathe? With soap?”
Mr. Hero didn’t answer, instead continuing to rub the dirt and dust off the bottoms of his house-mate's feet with the wet towel. Ravio hmphed. A fight for another day then, it isn’t as if he had the energy to draw a bath and push his friend into it anyways.
A delightful, rough sensation rubbed over the base of his foot, firm and still somehow incredibly relaxing, and the bunny merchant found himself torn between sinking into the cushions with a sigh as some of the pain in his limbs faded and staring down at Mr. Hero to see what had been done. In the end, he’d sunk into the cushions of the couch, lids fluttering as a heavy sigh pulled itself from his lungs. “What-”
“You’re as tight-string as my gran’s horses.” Mr. Hero drawled, and the sensation repeated itself, warm pressure sliding across the ridge of his foot. “This used to work on my uncle, relax.”
It took longer than necessary to actually realize that his friend was rubbing his feet, but Ravio was too warm and comfortable to really care, especially with how sore the appendages in question had been with scurrying here and there over the last few days tending to the shop.
Mr. Hero’s hands were miracle workers, and Ravio was hardly even awake when the veteran hero had finally stopped with his self-assigned task, pushing himself up and leaving Ravio to stretch out over the length of the couch. All the merchant could register was the increase of weight on top of him, the clinking of two empty mugs being placed in the kitchen sink, and the door creaking open.
He never felt the draft when Mr. Hero left back into the outside world to continue his quest, but when he woke the next morning, it was to find the hero’s favorite blanket spread out over the top of him and a fresh pair of fuzzy socks slipped over his clean and no longer painfully tense feet.
“Ravio, sit.” Mr. Hero groaned, leaning back on the couch and pinned in place by the sailor using his legs as a back rest. “If you don’t, I swear I’m going to have Twilight throw you at the couch!”
The merchant in question pouted, he’d been trying his best to tidy the living room, after all, Mr. Hero and his family had been quite unexpected that evening and the place was, unfortunately, a mess. One had to take inventory now and again, and the sad fact of it was that that required pulling everything off the shelves and out of storage and from around the house to count it up and figure out if he should risk attempting to return to Lorule or attempting to work Mr. Hero’s small smithy out back in order to restock his items.
He’d only counted up everything and had been working on cleaning and polishing his various items when the heroes had come knocking at the front door, and then he’d been so busy helping them warm up from the chill (they were all wearing the scarves he’d given them and it pleased him to no end) and making a meal with Mr. Hero that he’d been left unable to finish gathering the things that had been scattered across the floor. Of course, after dinner was finished, he’d set right to it, but now that everyone was settled around the fire with warm mugs in hand and fluffy scarves around their necks, Mr. Hero seemed to only be agitated by his puttering about and moving everything again.
To be fair, he hadn’t stopped moving for the last thirty minutes since the others had helped gather his things back up so they could sit, but there was so much to put away!
“Mr. Hero, I still-”
“Sit.” Mr. Hero squeaked grouchily, earning a few giggles as Mr. Rancher and Mr. Chosen Hero exchanged glances, smiles wide. “My feet hurt just from looking at you.”
Like it or not, Ravio’s ears were already pricking up at those words.
Since that first time, Mr. Hero had done him the favor of massaging his feet after a hard day many times, and as much as Ravio didn’t want to expect it of him, it was incredibly nice to have someone fuss over him, if only for a little bit, and if there was even a chance that it would happen again, well...
It was entirely intentional that he flopped onto the couch, feet resting easily in Mr. Hero’s lap as he stretched out. He could have sat down, he really could, but the fact of it was that he simply didn’t want to. Fortunately, Mr. Hero didn’t seem to mind, and too the merchants delight his friend immediately started pulling off his shoes with the same old familiar huff and wrinkling of his button nose, tossing the shoes as far away as possible to avoid having to remain in contact with them for long.
It was a practiced and much appreciated ritual that was Mr. Hero helping him relax after a long day. Just as cocoa or cider was prepared when either was having a particularly long or difficult day, or how Ravio always made sure Mr. Hero ate three meals a day and slept for at least four hours, taking care that his friend wasn’t positioned too uncomfortably wherever it was that he finally passed out. Mr. Hero touching his feet was normal, just like him playing with Mr. Hero’s hair once the other boy had settled down at last.
Perhaps though, it wasn’t all that common for the others.
“Vet?”
Mr. Hero blinked up from his work, violet eyes meeting the midnight blue of Mr. Rancher impassively.
“What in Ordonia are ya doin’?”
The veteran hero cocked a brow. “Foot massage, he won’t relax otherwise, and foot pains a-” Captain Hero Sir Jr. shot a look their way and Mr. Hero quickly amended what he’d been about to say. “Foot pain sucks.”
“You are touching feet.” Mr. Rancher wrinkled his nose. “Isn’t that a bit... gross?”
“Says the man who eats bee larva.” Came the quipped reply. “I wash them first, pities sakes.”
“By my head!?!?!?” Tune started jumping up and away and shooting Mr. Hero a hurt look. “Like, yeah, sure, I help Granny on bad days too, but warn a fellow if you’re gonna be having feet by his head.”
“Don’t sit on my legs.”
Ravio chuckled, letting the noise and chatter wash over him.
Mr. Hero’s hands never failed to sooth the pains of the day.
The heroes had stumbled in time and again over the months, and Ravio had grown quite used to their presence. Time passed differently on both ends of things, but he’d since learned when abouts to expect that they'd appear, and the house was, thankfully, stocked fully for each visit.
Autumn had brought about harvest, and the heroes had darted in and out, occasionally offering help and other times only crashing wearily in the living room and Mr. Hero’s bedroom for the night before they had to return to chasing the monsters. Today was one of the longer stays, especially if how Mr. Captain Hero Sir was moving so stiffly was any indication.
“Do you need me to step on you again?” Mr. Smithy asked worriedly as Mr. Captain Hero Sir eased his way down onto the couch, earning a few looks both from the merchant and the other heroes while Sheerow flitted about the man's head, chirruping worriedly and earning a gentle word or so from the captain.
Mr. Captain Hero Sir was in quite the state, stiff as a board and moving as poorly as the old pump in the village. It made him worried, and try as he might, he couldn’t think of any of his items that would help.
Mr. Hero appeared to already have an answer though. “Tunic off, Cap, and on the couch.”
Sharp blue blinked over in confusion to where Mr. Hero was already shedding his boots and rolling up his sleeves with a purpose. “I’m sorry, what?”
“Massage. Works wonders for back pain. Hop to it or I’m rescinding my offer.”
It was one thing to be on the receiving end of matters, but another entirely to be one of those who watched. Mr. Hero put his full weight into his hands as he worked, kneading out the knots in his friend's muscles while Mr. Captain Hero Sir melted into the couch with little relieved noises.
Maybe it took the others realizing that the vet didn’t just help him, but after that it wasn’t at all uncommon for him to carry in his attempts at cider or his wonderful cocoa and see Mr. Hero standing over one of the others and putting his clever hands to work in soothing tensed muscles back into place, the heroes under his hands melting under his touch.
The first time he heard Mr. Hero humming under his breath while he worked, the other heroes had all looked incredibly surprised, but not upset in the slightest. It was a lovely tune after all, and Tune himself started playing with his baton in time the gentle music, swaying in his seat and waving the instrument while the others continued working on repairing and tending their various items and clothing articles.
There was a pattern. For Mr. Captain Hero Sir it was his back, although rather rarely, and the same went for Mr. Chosen Hero.
For Captain Hero Sir Jr. It was his neck and shoulders.
Mr. Smithy got stress headaches that seemed to ease when someone helped message his temples.
Mr. Rancher had problems with his left wrist specifically.
Ravio of course had poor feet, and while Tune and Wild seemed to be mostly left unscathed from the repetitive pains that the others did, they took every opportunity to cling to Mr. Hero with their whole bodies when they felt that they wanted pets or attention when their mentor’s/brothers were too busy.
He’d attempted to return the favor all of one time. The black eye and bloody nose he got out of it weren’t even made better with the nearly tearful apologies of his best friend as Mr. Hero had jumped to his feet and dashed outside to get some ice for the injury.
Once the blood was cleaned up, the vet had sat in shame as Ravio had joined the others in teasing him for his “killer reflexes”.
“I can’t help it! People touching my feet- It-” Mr. Hero tugged at his hair frustratedly, eyes turning to the sky hopelessly. “I’m sorry, Ravio. It was an accident, I swear.”
“I know, Mr. Hero, I know.” He’d giggled out the reassurance, but from that day on he avoided touching Mr. Hero’s feet in any way possible.
(Oddly enough though, that didn’t stop a few of the others from trying, and Mr. Hero’s sleep was interrupted many times by heroes that had been kicked in the nose or even the mouth because they’d dared each other to touch the teen’s feet while he slept. Mr. Captain Hero Sir had complained for days until his own black eye healed, and Mr. Hero hadn’t even bother apologizing, stating that the others shouldn’t have tempted fat so foolishly.)
He felt a bit guilty for not returning the favor, but he knew better than to try again where so many others had failed.
And then winter had sprung up. Winter with its harsh gales that blew in half frozen heroes that tracked ice and snow across the floor as they bundled in front of the fire, wrapped head to toe for the weather. Winter when he’d brew hot cocoa to warm them all up, letting Mr. Hero tug down blankets to wrap around their on-and-off house-mates (guests no longer applied at this point). The mugs offered were warm, and Ravio smiled as each hero offered him a word of thanks as his tray grew lighter and lighter until he only had the two mugs left.
Mr. Hero had pulled together his usual nest before the fire. His huge blanket and a few spare pillows all bundled together into a comfortable place to sit for the younger heroes in order to make up for the lack of a second couch, and the vet sat in its center, still working to arrange the cushions with stiff fingers and chattering teeth until Ravio had pulled on his friend’s tunic and urged him to sit down.
When he offered the mug though, Mr. Hero had fumbled it and nearly dropped it, a hiss of irritation whishing from between his teeth and he glared down at his stiff digits. “Blast! Din’s sake, why does the freaking cold always freaking-”
Warm hands, worn from housekeeping and smithy work, wrapped around the vet’s as Ravio gently rubbed some warmth back into the stiff fingers. Mr. Hero started slightly at the touch, but didn’t complain as the merchant continued to press his into the rises and against the bones of his friend’s gnarled hands, offering warmth and relief against the pain and the cold both for a few short minutes, and Mr. Hero melted into the touch, as he always inevitably did, letting Ravio have his way for the moment and leaning to sit back-to-back with Wild while the merchant worked.
When he’d released his housemate, it’d only been to press a mug into the vet’s hands, but then he’d been settling across from him on the blanket nest, stockinged feet coming to rest in his friend’s lap as he’d pulled his own mug close for a sip. Violet eyes offered a begrudging smile that was returned in rupee green, but no words were spoken between the two as they enjoyed their cocoa.
Mr. Captain Hero Sir however wasn’t about to let it pass. “So, hand holding now, uh? Should I be talking to Fable about a wedding day?”
Ravio was certain that the only thing keeping some very rude signs from being exchanged as the fact that Mr. Hero wasn’t willing to stress his hands further or release the warmth that he held in them. The pink-haired hero did shoot a very disappointed look towards the captain though.

Missing (Loki/Jade/Reader)
Jade runs away, you and Loki panic, and she immediately misses her home.
Warning: attempted sexual assault scene.
Read the first part here!
Read the Mischievous Life series here!
"She's not here," Loki voice, filled with fear, calls out from Jade's bedroom. You immediately stand up from the couch and follow your lover out the front door to see what the two of you can find. "Jade!" Loki yells, his voice panicking.
"Jade!" you call out after Loki's loud voice.
The two of you are only met with the silence of winter air and the sound of snow crunching under your feet.
"Where the hell did she go?!" you try to figure out.
Loki scoffs. "She ran away."
"I'm calling the cops," you announce, quickly running back inside for your phone while Loki continues to scour the neighborhood.
Half an hour later, blue and red lights illuminate the streets as the police search every road in the neighborhood for the missing teenager – calling her name over and over through the loudspeakers and approaching neighbors' doors to ask if they know where the teenager is.
"Loki," you cry into the god's chest. "Where did she go?"
The God of Mischief gently rubs your back in an attempt to keep you calm. "I've no clue, my love," he says softly – his own terror starting to overwhelm him. "We'll find her."
As you stand with Loki, an officer slowly approaches the two of you – being cautious when he realizes that he's going to have to deal with the god that tried to take over New York years ago.
"Excuse me," the officer politely approaches you and Loki.
You desperately turn to the uniformed officer. "Where is she?! Did you find her?!" Loki places a hand on your shoulder and gives you a slight squeeze.
"No, ma'am," the officer solemnly admits. "We're looking all over the city."
"She can't be that far," Loki scoffs as you turn back around and hold him tightly.
The officer gives the two of you a quick smile. "We're doing everything we can possibly do. When we find her, you'll be contacted."
"What're we supposed to do?" you ask – desperation in your voice.
The cop takes a deep breath in – knowing that you aren't going to like his suggestion. "Stay home."
You scoff and cock your head at the officer. "I'm sorry...what?"
"If she comes home, she needs to know that she won't be alone," he explains.
"He's right," Loki backs up the police officer. "We'll stay here, and if she comes home by herself, we'll call."
The officer gives Loki a nod and shakes his hand. "Sounds good...and if we find her, you'll be contacted, and she'll be brought back home."
Finally, you understand the logic behind the actions and nod your head. "Thank you."
You turn away from the police officer and Loki to go back inside the house – trying to keep your tears under control.
"Here's my card," the officer offers to Loki, who immediately accepts. "Keep calling around – call her friends, boyfriend, girlfriend, whatever...we'll find her, sir."
Jade's anger had taken over her – driving her away from the home she shares with you and Loki. Rather than admit she was wrong, she would rather tough it out on the streets of New York City – alone and cold. She knew there was no way they would even notice her being gone – they'd probably be relieved that she's out of their hair. As Jade walks down a sidewalk through a rough part of town, she feels her arm be grabbed and roughly yanked – forcing her down an alleyway. When she looks up, her eyes meet the crazy ones of some older man, and when she tries to get away and push him off, he only laughs and pins her closer to the brick wall, but when Jade spits in his face, she's met with a fist to her face.
"Was a purty lil thing like you doin' out here?" the man, clearly drunk, asks the teen as she tries to get her jaw to stop hurting.
"Kidnapping and murdering old creeps," Jade spits, refusing to show her fear.
The man didn't entertain her attitude, and he wobbly spread her knees apart with his own, and Jade's tough façade quickly disappeared when she felt his hands go to her jeans – unbuttoning the single button with a perverted grin on his face.
"Be a good girl, and I won' be long." The man's filthy, smelly hands roughly rub Jade's cheeks, and he moans at the sight of her tears. "Have you taken a big 'un before?"
"Is that really any of your business?" a heavenly voice calls out from a few feet away.
The man laughs and turns to whoever has interrupted his fun. "Come on, man," he sighs, "you can have your fun when I's done."
"I don't think you understand," the voice calls out again. "You're going to let go of my niece before I take you to her father."
Finally, the man lets Jade go, and Thor quickly catches her before she falls to the ground.
"Uncle Thor," she cries in his arms. "Please, I wanna go home...Please take me home...I want my dad."
Thor picks her up and carries her back towards the road. "It's okay, JJ," Thor soothes the terrified teenager. "We're going home."
When Thor finally gets the traumatized fourteen-year-old back home, you and Loki come running out of the house, and Jade immediately runs into your and Loki's arms.
"Oh my God," you breathe out, taking in the scent of your little girl. "Jade...,"
Jade cries uncontrollably, and Loki shoots his brother a nod. "I'm so sorry," she sobs. "I'll never do that again...I'm so sorry."
"You're okay," Loki calms her as he rubs her back. "You're home...you're home...you're safe now."
Loki pulls Jade closer to his chest and rests his cheek on the top of her head – looking to you with teary eyes. While Thor was bringing Jade back, he had called and told you and Loki what he had stumbled upon – making sure the two of you knew that Jade would be in an extremely vulnerable and shaken state. Thor completely expected Loki to hunt down the piece of trash that attempted to assault his daughter and murder him slowly; however, he couldn't help but beam with pride when the only words that came from his little brother's mouth were words of concern and relief, and instead of making it his mission to hunt down the rat, Loki was more concerned with having his little girl in his arms again – everything else would have to come second. Thor offers to take the twins and your son for the weekend – giving the two of you time to get Jade settled back down, but the last thing you and Loki want is to have any more of your children out of your sight, so Loki asks his brother to stay on the couch to help to tend to the younger ones. Happily, the God of Thunder agrees and makes himself at home once the three of you go back inside – Jade refusing to let go of her dad.
"Sissy!" Ivy squeals when she sees Jade come back into the house. Jade gives her a weak smile and clutches to Loki even more. "I colored this for you!"
Ivy hands a drawing over to Jade, and she carefully takes it. It's a drawing of Jade dressed as a princess with a sparkly pink dress and a tiara.
"Thank you, Ivy," Jade sniffs while looking at the photo. "I love it."
Emmy chuckles from the kitchen where they had been sitting. "I guess I was wrong, Ivy," she confesses and then turns to Jade. "I didn't think you would like it."
"Alright, enough," you intervene. "Uncle Thor is going to be staying for a couple of nights, so he's in charge, alright?"
"Dor," your two-year-old son giggles and points to his uncle.
Before you, Loki, and Jade head to a more private room, the two of you kiss the twins and son goodnight – making sure to tell them how much you love them and letting Thor know the important things to keep them under control. As the three of you head to your and Loki's bedroom, the house quiets down, and Jade throws herself on the bed – clutching a pillow to her face and screaming into it. With a wave of his hand, Loki has the three of you changed into comfortable sleep clothes, and the two of you quietly join your daughter on the bed – rubbing her back as she sobs and waiting for the other to say something.

just for you, honeybee (1/?)
pairing: bucky barnes x female!reader, steve rogers x reader (platonic!)
word count: 3,172
warnings: a few curse words, bucky being cute, steve being awkward but also a great friend
authors note: hello! this is my first ever post on this account and the first chapter to a new series! im not sure how many chapters this is going to be as i got inspiration to write it a few days ago but im hoping to keep up with it. also, once TFATWS ends, i intend to do a series based on that as well! anywho, i hope you enjoy this and please leave feedback/lmk what i can do to improve! thank u :)
summary: dating back to 1943, you, james barnes, and steve rogers were best friends, including bucky being your boyfriend. when you get a notice that bucky died in the war, you make it your mission to find closure for yourself and protect steve as he is the only remaining piece of bucky you have left. once you are offered the super soldier serum, you and steve must make your way through world war 2 - and the unknown future hardships to come.
James Buchanan “Bucky” Barnes laid across from you on your bed, eyes softly glancing over your features as your hand grazed over his cheek and jawline. You chuckled to yourself, “looking a bit scruffy, Buck.”
He hummed, eyes now fluttering closed at your touch, “thought you liked it, doll.”
With a quick kiss to his lips, you nodded, “oh I do, don’t worry – no reason not to, really.”
Bucky let out a soft laugh before he ran a hand over your cheek, “I gotta get goin’ soon, doll. ‘Uniforms at Becca’s.”
With a sigh, you rolled onto your back and stretched, “she’s a saint, you know, washing and steaming your uniform for you.”
Bucky nodded in agreement with you, “that I do know, honeybee. I’ll meet you at Stevie’s, yeah?”
As you got out of your shared bed, you looked back at Bucky, “of course! Gotta see you off before you go put your life on the line, no big deal.” Bucky quickly dropped the conversation immediately after, understanding how you're feeling.
You weren’t mad at Bucky for joining the army – you couldn’t be, it wasn’t his fault. He was drafted and you knew that if he could stay, he would; and you knew you were being slightly immature about him leaving. You just wanted more time with him. So many people you knew had received letters that their loved ones hadn’t come back, that they had died in battle. It wasn’t fair, but when was life perfectly balanced?
By the time you got changed and got yourself cleaned up, Bucky was straightening out his shirt before he turned towards you, eyes hesitant. You walked to him, buttoning up his final buttons before you ran your hands over his shirt, “I’ll see you soon, Buck, okay?”
Bucky ran his tongue over his lips, “I know, honeybee. Try to keep Steve out of trouble for the time being, okay?”
You laughed, “I’ll certainly try my best – now get outta here!” With a smack to his ass, Bucky gave you one last kiss before he headed out the door to see his sister, Rebecca. You had asked her to iron Bucky’s uniform before he got sent off to war, wanting him to look his best – but you were sure he would look handsome in anything.
Looking in the mirror, you straightened out your favorite belted Peter Pan collar dress, fit with a pair of white heels; only the best for your Buck. You had begged him multiple times to let you register to become a nurse, in the slight chance of being close to him, but he always responded with the same answer: “I want to make sure I have someone to come home to, doll.”
You’d never tell him, but your heart warmed every time he said that.
Doing one more look-over, you smiled to yourself, grabbing your purse as you headed out the door. Steve’s apartment was only a few blocks away from your own, and honestly, you wanted to spend more time with him before Bucky left. The two were inseparable, and you knew Steve was going to struggle with Bucky being gone – that, and the unknowing if he’ll come back.
With sharp and prideful steps, you made your way across the street, saying hello to familiar faces and grabbing a newspaper from Grover, a vendor along the streets of Brooklyn. He stopped you before you headed off, “heard your boy’s goin’ off to war, y/n. How ya doin’?”
With a soft chuckle, you glanced down at the newspapers in your hands – one for you, Steve, and Bucky while he was on the train. You looked back at Grover, “I could be better, if I’m being honest. But I know he’s doing a good thing, so my silly feelings shouldn’t hold him back, Grove.”
Grover grumbled with a roll of his eyes, “you and your selflessness, just like ya ma. I’m telling yous, y/n, that boy loves you to the moon and back. Ain’t nothing he wouldn’t do for ya; if you asked him to stay, he’d go and fake his death to make sure you two go runnin’ off into the sunset together.”
With a laugh, you pushed the tears back, “and I love him too, Grove – but I can’t ask him to just not go. That just isn’t how it is, you know?”
Grover nodded, “yeah, kid, I know. . .Now get lost, I got customers to deliver these too.”
You glanced down at the stack of newspapers, “I’m headed over to Steve’s, anyone near his you gotta drop them off to?”
The vendor let out a hum and rested his head in his palm, “hmm, I think just Richie and Betty Davis right next to Rogers’ place. They get two, you good carryin’ an extra bundle?”
You gave Grover a look as he held up his hands, “just as fierce as ya mama, too – and being Barnes’ girl, probably the wrong question to ask.”
With a laugh, you held out your stack of papers, “pile them on, Gro. I’ll see you later, alright?” The vendor nodded and shoo’ed you away as you continued your journey to Steve’s apartment. Once you arrived, you left two newspapers on his neighbor’s doorstep, knocking once as you crossed back over to Steve’s.
As the Davis’ door opened, you knocked on Steve’s, already hearing rustling inside. Betty was at her door, “y/n? That you, sweetheart?”
With a turn, you greeted Mrs. Davis with a smile, “hi Mrs. Davis, how are you? How are the kids?”
The woman smiled back, “’mm, they’re good – always askin’ when the next batch of those delicious brownies are coming!”
You laughed and noticed Steve had opened the door, small statute waiting until you were done talking with Betty, “I’ll drop them by the next time I get to bakin’, Mrs. Davis. I’ll see you!” You waved to her, as did Steve, as he stepped aside to let you in.
Steve looked at the newspapers, then back at you, “you look great, y/n. . . Looks like I’ll be tellin’ Buck to shut his mouth when he sees you.”
You chuckled, “’cus he’ll catch flies or the obscenities he’ll be sayin’?”
Steve let out a laugh, “both, definitely both.”
Now that you both were in the safehouse of his apartment, you finally got a good look at your little army-hopper. He spotted a new black eye and a small cut on his cheek, yet he still looked as if he could go again if he wanted to. You nodded towards him, “where’d you get into a scuffle at this time?”
He shifted his feet until he let out a sigh, “behind a theatre. They were showin’ commercials for the army and some guy just started saying stuff.”
With a bite of your cheek, you sat down on one of his chairs, “so you had to fight him?”
“Just gotta be one of the good guys in the neighborhood, y/n.”
“I know, Stevie.”
An hour had passed and, in the meantime, you and Steve enjoyed some tea and tried to complete your own crossword puzzles. A small conversation had taken place between the two of you, talking about plans once Bucky was off fighting the war. You had talked about Steve moving in with you, but he was always so stubborn, wanting to prove that he could live on his own. You never thought that he couldn’t, but it could be a money saver.
One more glance at the clock, you figured it would be almost time for Bucky to show up. And, just like that, a knock was heard from the door and you smiled, getting up to answer it as Steve stayed back, grumbling at the pieces of paper in his hands. Opening the door, you saw your James Buchanan Barnes standing tall and proud in his new uniform.
Bucky whistled, glancing over your outfit as you did the same to him, “you look gorgeous, honeybee – even though I told you to not dress up.”
He stepped inside the apartment as you crossed your arms, “I mean, Steve agrees that this is kind of a big deal, so I think a nice dress will suffice.”
Steve and Bucky clasped hands and Bucky nudged his shoulder, “thought you were supposed to be a good influence on my girl, Steve.”
The smaller man shrugged, “kind of is a big deal.”
Bucky shuffled his feet, “yeah, well, I don’t want it to be. Let’s just go to the future and then see me off, alright?” The three of you stood in silence, light tension hanging in the air. With a sigh, you grabbed your purse, “well, off we go! C’mon now, boys.”
Bucky, you, and Steve headed to New York World’s Fair, hooked arms leading towards Howard Stark’s Expo. With bright lights, fireworks, and amazing technology surrounding you, your eyes failed to see Bucky staring at you with so much adoration. He never wanted to leave you – he’d stay if he could – but he had been drafted. All he wanted to do was stay in Brooklyn with you and Steve, and just never leave your arms. Hell, really, wherever you went, he went.
But that wasn’t the case in this scenario.
With a hand on your waist, Bucky looked up at Stark’s presentation of his repulsor technology with a flying car, head shaking in disbelief. While his car may have only hovered for a few seconds, the idea of not even needing to touch the ground to drive absolutely boggled your mind. During the presentation, Steve glanced up at you two and silently snuck off, hoping you didn’t notice his absence for too long. But he knew you and how observant and protective you were.
However, once you glanced around after a few minutes and found Steve in front of an army poster within the United States Armed Services Recruitment center. Squeezing Bucky’s hand, you slightly pulled him towards where Steve was, trying his best to fit his head within the frame.
With a slight push of his shoulder, Bucky nodded his head towards the Expo, “come on, we’re goin’ dancing – and hopefully find yourself a girl.”
Steve shook his head, “you – uh – you go ahead, I’ll catch up later.” He looked around, trying to divert the conversation between him and his best friend.
“Steve,” you started, “please? Just this one night?”
Bucky held your hand as he looked back at Steve, “you’re really gonna do this again?”
“I just – guys, it’s a fair, I’ll try my luck,” he started, looking between you both.
Beside you, you felt Bucky grow agitated, “that’s who, Steve from Ohio?”
“Bucky,” you said, squeezing his hand once more, “let him try one more, okay? We can go dancing and Steve will catch up later. If he doesn’t, I’ll hang his head on my wall like a prize.”
The boys let out a chuckle as Steve continued, “one last time, alright? I promise I’ll come later on – Mac’s, right?”
You nodded your head as Bucky sighed beside you, “don’t think you got to prove anything, Steve.” A small pause came over the three of you as Bucky continued, “don’t do anything stupid until I get back.”
You started to walk back with Bucky, letting go of his hand as he continued his conversation with Steve as he let out a small laugh, “how can I? You’re taking all the stupid with you.” You held up a finger at Steve, “you better mean that about himself, Rogers.”
Steve held up his hands, “yes ma’am! And Bucky –“
Bucky turned around once more to his best friend, “don’t win the war until I get there.” With a mock salute, Bucky dragged you back towards the Expo as you waved back at Steve, making sure he’d meet you at the bar before your boyfriend was shipped off.
With a sigh, Bucky wrapped an arm around your shoulders, pulling you close as he kissed your head, “that punk is gonna get himself in all loads of trouble, honeybee.”
You held his hand that was around your shoulder, “I’ll keep Stevie in his place. Seriously, Buck, try not to worry about him.”
“I just,” Bucky gripped your hand, “I don’t wanna come back to nothing, you know? Steve’s my best friend and if he somehow gets himself killed here or in the war, I don’t know what I’d do.”
You pulled Bucky to a stop, putting your hands on his cheeks, “James, look at me, please.” With soft eyes, Bucky looked into yours, “I promise you, Steve is going to be okay – he won’t do anything stupid, at least without me. We’re going to be okay, and you will, too. . .’cus if you aren’t, I may go and kill Hitler myself.”
Bucky chuckled, “I don’t doubt that for a minute, sweetheart. I love you, you know that, right?”
You leaned up, kissing Bucky softly before pulling back, hands tight on your waist, “I love you too. Now C’mon, I wanna go to Mac’s and celebrate my newfound freedom.”
Bucky groaned and pulled you even closer, “maybe I should tell Steve to keep an eye on you.”
With a mock salute of your own, you giggled at your boyfriend, “aye, sir, my new mission is to protect Steven Grant Rogers from being an idiot!”
Bucky couldn’t help but laugh, “toughest job in this whole war, honeybee.”
As the night continued on, Steve actually showed up to Mac’s and had a new look in his eyes.
‘Hmm,’ you thought to yourself, ‘looks like I gotta ask him about something later.’
Steve, you, and Bucky didn’t drink, but instead enjoyed each other’s company before Buck was shipped off; this really only included Bucky and Steve making fun of each other and you keeping the boys in line. Laughs and a few smacks on the head filled the atmosphere, but you knew it wouldn't last long.
By the time it was nearing close to Bucky’s train departure, the three of you took to the streets and headed to the train station, silence enveloping you. Bucky’s hand was wrapped tightly around yours as you dreaded this goodbye, even if you had high hopes he’d return to you and Steve.
At the sight of the train and fellow troops heading into their cabins, Bucky turned to Steve, “you take care of yourself, alright punk? I don’t want any letters from my girl telling me that you’ve been actin’ out.”
Steve shoved his shoulder, “you’re acting like I’m 12 years old again. I’ll be fine, Buck.”
Bucky nodded, but looked to his best friend, “and Steve?”
Steve held his breath but let go, “yeah, Bucky?”
“Please take care of her.”
Steve glanced back at where you stood, picking your nails as your anxiety was pricking at your skin. He nodded, “I will.”
Bucky let out a sigh of relief, “thank you, pal. I love her, so make sure she doesn’t do anything stupid either, okay?” Steve nodded in response.
Bucky then headed over to where you were standing, his eyes raking over your beautiful dress, your heels, and most importantly, your face. He did not want to forget a single thing about you or your features – he wanted them committed to memory. With a gentle hand, Bucky tilted your chin up towards him, “you alright, honeybee?”
You nodded, too afraid to use your voice as tears flooded your eyes. Trying to dry them up anyway, you nodded once more, unable to look at Bucky. He sighed, “c’mere, sweet girl, I got you.”
With no hesitation, you fell into Bucky’s arms, tears threatening to fall as you felt his hands rest upon your back and your head. You sniffled, “I’m going – I’m going to miss you so much, Jamie – so, so much.”
Bucky kissed your head, “I’m gonna miss you too, sweetheart. Don’t you dare think that I won’t for a second. You’ll be the first thing on my mind every second of the day.”
You breathed, “can living through this war be the first thing on your mind? And maybe completing a crossword puzzle?"
Bucky let out a small laugh but held you tighter, “just for you, honeybee.” Pulling back, he wiped away stray tears that threatened to fall from your eyes, a soft smile on his face. “You’re gonna be alright, and I’ll be comin’ home to you in no time.”
You nodded, a few tears slipping free from your eyes as you looked up at Bucky, thumbs rubbing over his cheeks and light stubble. You slowly traced over his lips, his nose, and his eyebrows, committing everything about him to memory. With a small smile, you leaned up, catching him in a kiss once more, “stay safe, you hear me? And take this damn thing with you - maybe you'll complete it." With gentle hands, you handed him the newspaper you had gotten today.
He carefully took the newspaper from you, already hoping the crossword puzzle would be easy this time around. Then, Bucky pecked your lips before he headed towards the train, “gotta come back for my best girl. I love you!”
As he stepped onto the train and hung out the window of a cabin, he continued yelling, “I love you, y/n l/n! I love you!”
You cried, a bright smile on his face, “I love you too, James Buchanan Barnes!” Blowing kisses towards him, both you and Steve watched as the train slowly started to pull away, seeing him mindlessly hand his ticket to the worker, not bothering to tear his eyes away from you or his best friend.
“I love you!” he shouted once more, all before his train sped up, leaving you and Steve behind on the platform.
Wiping your eyes and your nose with a cloth, you cleared your throat and turned to Steve, “gah, sorry. Let’s uhm – do you want to head back to my place?”
Steve nodded towards you, “yeah, yeah that sounds good. You alright?” He hooked your arm with his as you headed out of the station, continuing to wipe your eyes. “Yeah,” you started, “I’m okay. I knew this was coming. . . I guess I just hated the whole ‘saying goodbye,’ you know?”
Your best friend rubbed the back of his neck, “I get it, y/n, but he’ll come back – he has a reason to, and that’s you.”
Your heart fluttered, and tears welled up in your eyes once more. With a quick sniffle, you reached into your purse and grabbed your key, unlocking your door to your apartment. Once inside, you quickly got to making tea for you and Steve, something to get your minds off of your missing puzzle piece.
Once tea was made and you both were sitting in your living room, you turned to him, “tell me, Stevie. Please.”
Steve looked at you, a confused look etched upon his face, “tell you what?”
You leaned back into your chair, picking at your nails once more, “what happened at the recruitment office? I’ve known you long enough to see that there’s something you’re not telling me, there’s something in your eyes, Stevie, so please, just tell me.”
Steve seemed shocked that you were able to read him like that, but was defeated. With a sigh, he turned and reached into his handbag, pulling out a file, “there was this Doctor there, Doctor Erskine, who uh – he approved me for the army, y/n. But it’s for an experiment, something they call a super-soldier experiment, I’m not sure. But, I’m going – I leave in a couple days.”
How is your world falling apart this quickly?

Anon with the arts v stem bs for you, could you write a thing where Peter is in your position trying to write an essay when his brain Just Won't Work Right To Do The Words and he asks Tony for help and Tony's like *cracks knuckles* "get on your knees, baby boy, I'm writing this whole thing for you and you're gonna have your mouth stuffed with my cock until I'm done"
my god i saw this at like 7 am and went “shit, yes. i have to write this” before passing the fuck back out until 10. also sorry it’s late, i got carried away
we say thank you, we say please.
you can also read on ao3!
“Ugh!”
Tony glanced over at yet another one of Peter’s noises of complaint. They had grown in severity and loudness over the past few minutes, and the angry crinkle in Peter’s forehead told him just how frustrated the younger boy was.
“Fuck!”
Tony sniffed a smile, amused. “You doin’ okay, baby?”
“No,” Peter bit back, slamming his forehead onto the desk. “This stupid essay isn’t working out. Why am I even writing an essay? Isn’t the whole point of science to experiment?”
“And reflect on your findings,” Tony corrected with a roll of his eyes. He got up from his seat and came over, placing a hand on Peter’s shoulder to peer at the laptop screen. “Lemme see what you have.”
“Be my guest.” Peter tried to get up, but stilled when Tony shoved him back down.
Humming, Tony read over the introduction Peter had managed to craft, then wordlessly reached out and highlighted the whole thing before deleting it.
“Hey!”
“Hm?” Tony smiled at him sweetly.
“Why’d you do that?” Peter seethed with a pout.
“Because it was trash,” Tony replied. “And I know you know that it was.” He held Peter’s gaze until the fire in it died down a bit, and waited until Peter dropped his gaze.
Miserably, the younger boy picked at his nails. “I’m gonna fail this course. I’m not smart enough.”
“Don’t say that.” Tony’s voice was sharp. “I don’t ever want to hear you say that again; you hear me?”
Silence, then a petulant look.
Something Tony clicked. He reached out, slid a hand through Peter’s soft curls, and tightened his hand into a fist, pulling hard enough for Peter to hiss through his teeth. “I said, you hear me?”
“Yes,” Peter muttered. “Ow! You’re gonna pull my hair out if you don’t—ow, yes! Yes, Daddy.”
“Yeah, that’s what I thought you said.” Tony eyed Peter for a few more seconds, then let go. “You should start off with the basics. Think of a good hook, but don’t you dare try and make a statement about society or some shit like that. Profs hate it.”
“I can’tttt,” Peter whined. “It just doesn’t work.” He turned to look at Tony with his best puppy eyes. “Maybe you could write it for me.”
Tony rolled his eyes. “Yeah, honey, hilarious. Now you want to commit an academic offense.”
Peter glared. “This entire essay is an offense! To me! And if you don’t help me, I’m going to fail, Tony. Okay? I’m gonna get a big, fat, ugly zero—”
“You sure you want me to help?” Tony interrupted, a wicked, filthy plan suddenly forming in his mind. He nudged Peter out of his seat and sat down, appraising him, mouth already watering in anticipation. “Because you know I don’t do things for free, sweetheart. You’ll need to pay me back somehow, show me how grateful you are.”
Peter rolled his eyes. “Yeah, okay, I’ll give you that massage you’ve been asking for—”
Tony barked out a laugh that silenced him. He let his hands drop to the buttons on his jeans, enjoying the way Peter’s eyes immediately followed the movement. “Oh, no, no, no, baby. That’s not what I’m asking for.” He pressed the palm of his hand to his dick, and looked at Peter with a raised eyebrow.
“Yes,” Peter immediately said. Tony didn’t miss the way he sounded a little more strained now, eyes still fixed on the tent in Tony’s boxers. “I’ll pay you back.”
Tony smirked, then snapped his fingers and pointed to the floor. “Get on your knees, baby boy. I’m writing this whole thing for you and you’re gonna have your mouth stuffed with my cock until I’m done.”
Peter dropped to the floor like a puppet whose strings had been cut, and looked up at Tony expectantly, licking his lips.
“You know what I love about you, honey?” Tony drawled, sprawling his legs wide open, enjoying the way Peter immediately leaned closer. He pushed a hand through his hair again and leaned close so that they were nose-to-nose.
Peter tried to kiss him, almost instinctively, and Tony laughed before gently pushing him away. “You’re always so”—Tony yanked his head back harshly with the grip on his hair, eliciting a gasp—“fucking”—A sharp slap to his face, making Peter moan—“grateful.” A caress now, to counter the heat blooming in Peter’s cheek. “Isn’t that right?” He ran the pad of his thumb across Peter’s bottom lip.
Peter stared up at him adoringly in response, eyes wide.
The boy was already completely out of it, Tony noted with amusement. So responsive. Beautiful. He let his thumb brush against his flushed cheeks before sitting back and gesturing to the zipper on his pants.
“Go on, then,” he murmured, watching Peter’s eyes flash eagerly. “I undid the button for you, didn’t I? I think you can do the rest by yourself.” He stopped Peter with a hum when the boy reached out with his hands, and he shook his head. “No, baby. With your teeth.”
Peter swallowed, then obediently wriggled forwards and mouthed at the zipper, trying to get a good grip on it with his mouth.
Tony watched him for a few moments before reaching out to pet his hair as silent encouragement. It took Peter a few more seconds before he managed to pull it down, and Tony grinned when the boy immediately nuzzled closer, mouthing at his cock almost hungrily.
Tony pulled him back a bit before holding a hand out in front of Peter. “Spit.” Once Peter obeyed, he took himself in his hand and stroked in long, lazy motions, not taking his eyes off of the boy for a single moment. After a few minutes, Peter began to make impatient little noises at the back of his throat, just as Tony had expected him to.
“Needy thing,” Tony crooned, then smacked Peter’s face with his dick, making the sub jolt. Peter looked up, eyes glazed over, practically whacked into submission now. “Open up. I wanna see you gagging on it, you hear me? Don’t you dare try and slack off.”
Peter nodded in quick little jerks of his head, mouth falling open immediately at the order.
Tony fed his cock into Peter’s mouth inch by inch, wet and warm and ready for him, until Peter had taken him into his mouth nearly completely. He ran a hand through the sub’s curls, then shifted, feeling his cock hit the back of Peter’s throat, and pulled the laptop closer to him. He felt Peter’s cheeks hollow as he tried to swallow in vain around his cock, and Tony cursed quietly under his breath at the spasm of Peter’s throat.
Right. The essay.
He sucked the inside of his cheek, thinking, before beginning to type.
Biophysics is critical to our understanding of the mechanics of the molecules in our lives, and how complex systems and beings function, which, according to—
Tony stopped when Peter’s cheeks hollowed yet again and he looked down, raising an eyebrow. “You need something?”
Peter’s eyes widened and he shook his head as best as he could, then pulled back to wipe the drool on his chin with the back of his hand. “Just—was just tryin’ to swallow, Daddy.” God, he already sounded wrecked, voice rough and throaty.
“What, embarrassed that you were making a mess of yourself?” Tony chuckled, then shoved his hand into Peter’s hair before yanking him back onto his dick. “Stay. There. Your job is to be the filthy, needy thing you are while being grateful for what I’m giving you. Remember what I said about wanting your mouth to be stuffed with it until I’m done? You think I was joking about that?”
A small whine; Tony gave him the benefit of the doubt because he was feeling generous today and assumed it was a ‘no.’
He went back to work after that, and for the next half hour, the only sounds that filled up the room was his typing and the occasional little noise Peter made, whether it be a small exhale from his nose or an attempted swallow of his throat.
He took the time to finish, then ran through it three times to edit it. After the last run, he finally—finally—looked down at Peter, whose eyes were closed, eyelashes occasionally fluttering with each shallow inhale he took through his nose.
Tony rested his hand on Peter’s head, watching him, then murmured, “Good boy. Get me off now, sweetheart. Show Daddy how good you can be.”
Peter was more than eager to obey, and in less than five minutes, Tony was swearing under his breath, hips canting without his permission, and he could barely stutter out a warning before he came down Peter’s throat.
Peter took it like a champ, swallowing every drop and only pulling off when Tony made him. Panting, he looked up at Tony, eyes wide and teary.
Tony brushed a thumb over his cheek for a few moments, then murmured, “Good boy.”
When Peter reached for his leaking, red cock, Tony snapped sharply, “Ah-ah! What’re you doing? You think you deserve to get off by yourself? No, baby, you have to earn that.”
Peter looked up at him through wet eyelashes. “But I—” He gestured vaguely to Tony.
“What, made me come?” Tony rolled his eyes. “No, sweetheart. That was just you thanking me for writing your essay. All you had to do was drool all over my cock and show me how grateful you were for my generosity. Not exactly a hard feat like, say, writing an essay, is it? Not for a greedy little thing like you, at least.”
Peter stared at him, jaw slack and hanging open.
Tony grinned, and it was mean. “This, though...” He reached down and formed a loose ‘o’ with his hand, stroking Peter’s cock from the base to the head in one easy, smooth motion. “We’ll see about this. Get on the bed.”
Peter immediately scrambled to obey, and Tony’s grin grew.
Oh, he was going to make Peter beg, and enjoy every single moment of it.
__________
A few weeks later, Peter came marching up to Tony’s desk, then slapped down a package of paper.
Tony raised an eyebrow.
Peter jabbed his index finger at the 98%, written and circled in red, at the top of the first page. “My essay,” he said, proudly, making Tony bite back a laugh.
“A ninety-eight,” Tony mused, picking it up and leafing through it. “Not bad, huh?”
“It’s perfect.” Peter maneuvered himself onto his lap, straddling him and mouthing along his neck.
“Two percent away from perfect.” Tony tossed the paper back onto the desk and let his hands drift down to squeeze Peter’s ass, hard enough for his nails to dig in even through the sweatpants. “Should’ve been a hundred. Must’ve lost a mark or two ‘cause your mouth distracted me.”
“Not my fault I’m so good,” Peter chirped.
Tony rolled his eyes. “Uh-huh, good at being a filthy slut.”
Peter ignored him. “Besides, maybe next time you’ll get that hundred for me.”
Grinning, Tony pulled back to look at Peter’s face, then kissed him, wet and hard and sloppy. Peter’s chest was heaving by the time they pulled apart, and he pushed his thumb through his lips and into his mouth, watching him suck languidly for a few moments before saying, “Yeah, baby boy. You’re right. There’s always next time.”
Because they both knew this wouldn’t be the last time.

Regained Passion - Harry Hook x Reader - Part 3 - Bonding
=
Welp…there he was…in an intermediate dance class, thankfully Bert taught the class (he actually taught a good handful, he was just the main beginner class teacher) so Harry wouldn’t be thrown into a whole new class with no familiar faces. Harry held down a smile as he remembered the jealous faces of his ex-dance classmates as Bert told him about his ‘level up’ the day before. He had only been at the studio for a month before he was leveled up, his schedule had changed a bit as well, before he was only going to the studio three days a week, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Now he would be going Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. His hour-long classes turning to two as Bert led Harry’s fellow dancers through new and much more complicated steps.
The only good thing that had come out of this was that his classes now ended at the same time as (y/n)’s, and now he would be able to go across the hall to pick her up instead of going from the back of the school to the front as he did when he was still in beginner.
Harry sat on the floor as he slid on his ballet shoes, strapping them to his feet and tossing his bag against the wall, standing with a sigh and walking over to where Bert was talking to the dancers.
“Any of ya hear of the ol’ bamboo?” Bert asked, taking a step back and grabbing a long stick, twirling it in his hands. The whole class shook their heads, well minus Harry, who just rose his brow. “well, this is what ya gonna be learning for the end of spring performance next year, the beginners are doin’ Step in time, ya will be doing ol’ bamboo, and the expert class is doing ballet, with miss charming as their star” Harry perked up at that, so that was the performance Esmerelda was talking to (y/n) about huh?
“So!” Bert clapped his hands, grinning at his students “let's start with the lyrics, shall we?! It is a musical performance after all”
-
By the end of the two hours, Harry was kinda exhausted, less exhausted than the rest of his classmate's thanks to his isle-bred stamina but still…very tired and very sweaty. Harry wiped down his face and neck with a cool towel and changed out his shoes.
“Hi~” Harry looked up, unable to keep the smile off his face as (y/n) looked down at him, hanging her head upside down while doing so “How was class?”
“Like usual” Harry simply replied, looking back at his shoes “Wha’ are yeh doin’ here? I thought yer class ended a bit after mine?” (y/n) just hummed, grabbing Harry’s bag and holding it open for Harry to toss his dance shoes in, then handing it to him as he stood.
“Ended early, Esméralda had an appointment…do you want to go get ice cream?” Harry rose his brow as he looked to (y/n), who gave an unsure smile.
“Ice cream?” Harry hummed, stuffing his hands in his pockets as he looked to the ceiling “Do I-Harry Hook-want ice cream?” (y/n) rolled her eyes and punched his shoulder gently. “Ice cream sounds good” Harry chuckled, patting (y/n)’s head and offering his arm again, once again ignoring the spark running through his skin as (y/n) hands wrapped around his arm.
“Yay! There's this new place I've been wanting to try! But no one will go with me! I'll drive us there!” Harry smiled at (y/n)’s rambling, leading her to pull him along to the parking lot where her car was.
-
“No-no no no no, the egg travels back in time and it creates a new timeline, and then later it's revealed that there's another egg that was corrupted that ALSO traveled back in time, but that one’s helping the yiga clan.” Harry licked his lips free of his chocolate ice cream, narrowing his eyes as (y/n) finished her mini-rant about one of her favorite games lore.
“So,” Harry started, setting down his spoon and tilting his head “the egg? Is-a time-traveling mini guardian?? And-the princess, Link or whatever-“ (y/n) looked at him with puffed cheeks.
“Zelda! Link is the knight! Zelda is the princess!” Harry made a face.
“But if the stories mostly follow Link, why is it called Legend of Zelda!?” Harry gave a smug smirk as (y/n) huffed and wiped the corner of her lips free of her ice cream.
“Becauseeeee oh! I remember! Well don’t quote me on it, but the first game was originally going to be about Zelda exclusively, then they made Link and they found the new story worked better, they just kept the original title.” Harry hid his smile behind another mouthful of ice cream, (y/n) was pretty cute when she went on her video game rants, Legend of Zelda being one of her favorites. “Okay, at some point you have to play one of the games, especially breath of the wild, you can barrow my switch” Harry chuckled, setting down his now empty cup of ice cream.
“Alright then” Harry started, grabbing a napkin and wiping his mouth “sounds fun?” (y/n) beamed in excitement, dancing in her seat a bit.
“Yes!...I can’t wait to see your ass kicked by a lynel” (y/n) cackled, laughing louder as Harry gave her an odd look.
“From how yer laughing, that tells me it's not a fun thing ta fight?” Harry guessed, smiling as (y/n) nodded through her laughter.
“Lynels are harder to beat than the final boss, which is bullshit but I digress” Harry turned to see Audrey, who was smiling at (y/n)s giggling self “side note; it’s a little odd to see you two hanging out” she waved off Harry’s slightly offended look “not in a mean way, more; you're both from a different crowd and Chad likes to say shit about you to (y/n)…though she” she gestured to (y/n) who was coming down from her giggle fit. “doesn’t like listening to Chad, so I should have expected this.”
“Damn right, hell will freeze over before I actually listen to his dumbass” (y/n) chuckled, finishing off her ice cream and looking up at Audrey, who was picking up her shopping bags again and going to leave “What are you doing here by the way?”
“Oh just some shopping, trying out a new style and all that, good day you two!” Audrey sauntered off, leaving (y/n) and Harry alone once more.
Harry looked back at (y/n) at the same time she did, they both smiled and (y/n) nodded back towards the parking lot of the mall they were at “Wanna get started on breath of the wild?”
Harry smiled, turning to toss his empty ice cream cup in the trash can behind him “Sounds fun”
-
“No! Dodge to the side! YES! Okay, mash the Y button!” Gil and Uma stepped into (y/n)s dorm room, having been looking for Harry for the past two hours after he didn’t return from dance class, and Gil had suggested looking for Harry in (y/n)s room.
Uma had thought it was a stupid idea but humored Gil, only to be surprised to see Harry and (y/n) in bean bags as Harry button mashed the controller he held in his hand, sticking his tongue out slightly in concentration. “Uhhhh Harry?” Uma called out, leaning back a bit as Harry shushed her.
“I’m fighting a lynel and am about to die I need silence!” Harry yelled, leaning forward into his controller, tossing his hands up in shock as the red-maned lynel finally died “FUCKING FINALLY!” (y/n) cheered along with Harry, laughing as he pulled her into his side.
Uma and Gil gave each other a look, Uma smirking before walking towards the two and pulling Harry up to his feet “Awesome, you beat a video game mini-boss, I've been looking for you for two hours” Harry seemed to come down from his victory high and gave a sheepish smile.
“Oh uh…sorry?” Uma hummed and nodded, grabbing his arm and waving to (y/n).
“Say bye to (y/n) Harry” Harry waved (y/n) goodbye as she giggled and saved Harry's game, switching the profile to her game.
“Bye (y/n)” (y/n) beamed at him, waving at him as he was pulled backward by Uma towards the door.
“Bye Harry!”
Uma pulled Harry out of the room, rolling her eyes a bit as Harry continued to wave until he was out of (y/n)s sight. Gil followed them out and closed the door behind him. “You are so smitten” Gil laughed, very much enjoying the way Harry’s face lit up.
“No-no I’m nae” Harry stuttered, pulling out of Uma’s grasp and stomping ahead of them “Yer out a yer mind Gil” Uma and Gil shared another look.
“He’ll realize it at some point, I give it another month or two” Uma mumbled, smirking as Gil patted his pocket where his wallet was.
“Three, twenty bucks” Uma nodded and the two shook hands to seal their bet, jogging forward to catch up with their flustered friend.

Jane sat against the wall of mirrors, watching you move about the almost empty room as you practiced your part from the duet Esméralda had assigned you. Jane wasn’t all that knowledgeable in the world of dance but it wasn’t hard to see you were struggling, not in the way of movement but in the way of conveying emotion in your dance.
It almost seemed….stale, if anything, the dance was supposed to convey two people falling in love, but Jane; as far as she knew, knew you had never fallen in love so it would be hard to convey that exact emotion. You had really only known platonic and familial love.
You stopped, collapsing to your knees as you heaved for breath, sweat dripping off your brow. Jane furrowed her brows in concern and stood, grabbing your water bottle and walking over to you, she kneeled beside you and handed you the bottle, staring at you as you greedily downed the water. “Are you okay?” Jane asked, mentally wincing as it was obvious that you weren’t.
You gasped as you finally took the bottle away from your lips, shaking your head “I just-I just can't seem to get this right, Esméralda says if I can't find the emotions I need to convey in this duet then she’ll replace me and-and” you sighed, letting your head fall between your shoulders. “I can't let them down” Jane furrowed her brows.
“Let who down?” Jane asked, unsure of who you were talking about, as far as she knew your parents didn’t really pressure you about your dancing, they were wholly supportive and understanding through every bit of your journey through dance.
“…I don’t know” you whispered, curling up and resting your chin on your knees. “My parents? Me? Grandpa? Esméralda? I’m not sure…but I feel like if I don’t get this right, I’ll be letting someone down” Jane rubbed your back, unsure of how to comfort you. You stood after a few moments and walked over to the stereo. “One last time, okay? Then I’ll be done for the day”
“Okay,” Jane mumbled, going to sit back down against the wall, starting up the camera on your phone to record you one last time at your request so you could see any mistakes you made.
You stood in the middle of the room, closing your eyes and taking a deep breath as the music began.
And you danced.
