Hot Take Time!

Another signifier of That 70s Show's degrading quality in the later seasons is the names of minor characters. Like Brooke, Danielle, Samantha, etc. Those are, for the most part, millennial names.

In the earlier seasons, there were lots of Boomer names. Janice, Mary, Patty, Pam, etc. Because they cared more about the setting in the earlier seasons, which is one of the many reasons the earlier seasons were better.

Notes:

1. Female names definitely tend to be more generational than male ones. Jake and Casey are definitely millennial names, though.

2. There were a few exceptions, here and there. Like Randy, Suzy, and Angie. But the last two were just because those were the names from The Who's and The Stones' songs, respectively.

3. It started a bit in season 4, but really ramped up from late season 5 onwards.

i feel like the tvs have gotten so much worse like fearless was actually a pretty high bar as compared to the others. 1989 was really disappointing. the production vocals etc weren't up to what i expected from her and generally it feels like shes doing it for the money.

oh fr, atp I feel like she's gotten a bit tired of the rerecording process and just wants them done. it's like she saw that people will eat up even a rerecorded album and just started putting less effort into them because she knows it'll sell well anyway

It’s kind of upsetting how people are just accepting Curseforge. I really wish this community had a better sense of cohesion.

While I don’t expect millions of people to feel the exact same on something, it is possible for large and vocal groups of fandoms to come together and put their foot down. 

As it is, the resistence to Curseforge feels more like a minority, and that’s why I’m griping here.
