Using vampirism as an allegory for experiencing trauma and moving forward forever changed really makes writing far more fulfilling for me. This is why I love playing in horror! ✨️

it's easy to forget due to the amount of fluff produced as a result that the original tma was that good of a horror story you are like huh did we all have a collective hallucination in 2020. but no it was just genuinely good.

I'm gonna be on a Podcast!
Tumblr media
I’m going to be interviewed a lead writer for Eureka: Investigative Urban Fantasy on the Storyteller Conclave podcast!
We didn’t set it up like this on purpose, but it’s actually going to air live on the same day the Eureka: Investigative Urban Fantasy Kickstarter campaign is launching, starting on Wednesday, April 10th, 2024 at 7:00 PM EST!
You’ll get to hear us talk all about Eureka, A.N.I.M., and maybe some other stuff, but the really cool thing will be that the Eureka Kickstarter will be launch only a few hours before. (We are planning for that to launch at 3:00 PM EST.)

Eureka: Investigative Urban Fantasy is going to launch on Kickstarter on April 10th and we need all the help we can get. Set a reminder from the Kickstarter page through this link.
If you’re interested in a more updated and improved version of Eureka: Investigative Urban Fantasy than the free demo you got from our website, there’s plenty of ways to get one!
Subscribe to our Patreon where we frequently roll our new updates for the prerelease version!
Donate to our ko-fi and send us an email with proof that you did, and we’ll email you back with the full Eureka prerelease package with the most updated version at the time of responding! (The email address can be found if you scroll down to the bottom of our website.)
Or, if you can’t afford any of that, join our TTRPG Book Club and then just ask. At the time of writng this, Eureka: Investigative Urban Fantasy is the current game being played in the book club, and anyone who wants to participate in discussion, but can’t afford to make a contribution, will be given the most updated prerelease version for free! Plus it’s just a great place to discuss and play new TTRPGs you might not be able to otherwise!

I'm just sitting here, beginning to watch Markiplier's playthrough of Slay the Princess, and the narrator's voice seemed REALLY familiar. It was when the Hero's voice started getting anxious and unsure that it clicked that the voice actor was Jonathan Sims XD

me saying to myself “oh, harlan guthrie uploaded a seven part horror series all at once. I can surely sit back and wait a while, absorb this later” is the most hilarious lie i’ve told myself in a while. “yeah I won’t binge this immediately” i thought to myself. absolute clown behavior.

Sometimes our hosts fall down research rabbit holes, and that’s how episodes like this one get made. Get ready to learn about Slavic folklore, paganism, and the Kikimora.

This week's topic is... Distractions! Whether the benign or the sinister, distractions are a major part of our everyday lives. Some might say this podcast is a distraction! I hope it's a bit more than that, but if you're enjoying it I'll take what I can get.
-
The tale for this week is:
Ep 02 of Into the Mire: The Flame That Burns Bright - A dancer has the opportunity of a lifetime: replacing the lead of a daring, theatrical performance. The act? A musical, headed by her and her massive, beetle costar. Will she shine under the spotlight? Or will its heat burn away her aspirations? Or, maybe, even more?
