I always loved the towns and settlements in Horizon, so it shouldn't be a surprise that I took some time to photograph merchant stalls around the HZD. This is not a complete set, I'll take some more as I progress on the game :3

I love the detail and variety of the stalls - all the food and craftsmanship of each tribe is just 👌🏻

One of the first things a player interacts with when it comes to a Tallneck is the large rectangular playing sticking out from their necks. These plates are bright yellow, like most climbing spots, as a means of telling players that they can actually get onto the machine this way. While playing the Zero Dawn Remaster, I noticed one thing- they changed how these plates look.

Here we see two shots of a Tallneck from Forbidden West, specifically the plating that the player can stand on. It’s a rather industrial, matte yellow, which is bright and easy to see. It’s more akin to paint than metal plating, but it serves its job perfectly fine.

And here we have two shots showing the same parts on a Tallneck from the Zero Dawn Remaster. The plating is now a vibrant gold, not unlike what players see on Apex Machines. The reflectivity is the main giveaway from these photos, especially in the second shot.

(BTW, while the spoiler embargo I set for myself is over, I plan to wait until I’ve cleared it in order to post actual story related stuff about Horizon Zero Dawn’s Remaster. This just means I’ll occasionally be talking about the world/machines we can find)
