This is probably a good time to mention everyone’s jobs since I keep forgetting to mention it JDHDGDH

Wally: Da Boss (yeah no shid) he isn’t that merciful of a boss- can be very brutal with how relentless he can be and is a bit of a (non sus) sadistic a s s sometimes. Usually is playfully humorous initially, but can quickly go sour if he feels ever so slightly ticked. Preferred weapon: his eyes and his arms.

Barnaby: Body guard, boss’s left hand man, usually the one who talks for the boss. Sometimes he’s even seen as the “unofficial” boss of the whole group (which he likes to humor sometimes) but in the end he is possibly the most loyal out of everyone to Wally (man’s best friend after all). Preferred weapon is “da biggest gun we got!!!”

Howdy: Butler, bartender, boss’s right hand man. Will do basically everything anyone says (who’s part of the family) without question, however he will always take the Boss’s requests as main priority over the others. This will often keep him awake and exhausted, and a few new stitches to add to his collection. He has the lowest ability to think freely. Preferred weapon: Ice pick

Julie: Hitman A, interrogator, mad scientist really. Killing isn’t really too much of her thing, she prefers methodical planning and slow suffering with the use of chemicals and even random substances she can get her lil paws on. She’s not afraid to use anyone as a test subject, even if it’s her own members. preferred weapon: tranquilizers

Sally: Hitman B, intimidator, c h a o s. Almost the complete opposite to Julie. Absolutely chaotic and adores violent bloodshed to a point it’s theatrical. Usually is called if they don’t really need a clean kill. Can often be seen dancing and listening to music while on the job, often says it helps her focus (nobody really argues with it). Preferred weapon: anything blunt and/or violently loud (tasers, rocket launchers, fireworks) (sally is banned from using rocket launchers)

Poppy: Medic, crime scene cleanup, voice of reason, sometimes chef. She does ok when it comes to clean ups and stuff, however she has panic attacks and gets terrified when ever she hears screams of pain/torture, and freezes. Typically Howdy is there to help her snap out of it and help her complete her work, if not do her work for her. Everyone, even including the boss, is there to support her when she’s distressed (everyone would hug her except Wally. He does not like being touched unless it’s Howdy or Barnaby). Preferred weapon: n/a

Eddie: Messenger, delivery pick up/drop off, handler of the goods. He usually goes by himself, however after an incident where he lost his arm from a deal gone wrong, he is now required to leave with at least one of the hitmen (typically Sally). Very often does he get hurt in these trips and is usually always saved by Sally. Absolutely adores Frank for always trying to find the safest routes for him and wishes they had time together alone. Preferred weapon: a simple revolver

Frank: In charge of ordering goods, making contacts, being a voice of reason, basically just a manager. The most stressed member of the group. Rarely is he seen outside of the headquarters unless it’s to talk to well known individuals. He doesn’t usually talk to anyone besides Howdy (ranting at the bar about people), Eddie (telling him what he needs to get next), and Julie (normal convos and her asking him to order new chemicals for her next project). Every time Frank thinks he has an intimate moment together alone with Eddie, out of the blue Eddie would just randomly talk about how much he loves the family and how Wally is so amazing. The next day Frank asks him about it, it seems Eddie doesn’t remember what happened yesterday. Frank has the highest ability to think freely. Preferred weapon: a simple glock.

sometimes i get the sense that reid is more attached to gideon than gideon is to reid. obviously they both serve as surrogates for the family member each is estranged from (gideon is estranged from his son and reid is estranged from his dad) but.

you know. reid clings to gideon, not physically but emotionally, and i think a lot of his wellbeing at the start of the series relies on gideon's presence. gideon almost certainly knows the most about reid out of anyone on the team—i don't think canon ever says that reid has told gideon about diana, but i would imagine he has—and i think reid feels understood by him in a way he doesn't by other people, even compared to the rest of the team who (mostly) try their best. i think he also tends to try to be as good and deserving as possible of gideon's presence, since he definitely at least partially feels like his father left because he wasn't good enough.

on the flipside, while gideon definitely sees reid as a son, he's...not the best dad. i think we see him repeating a lot of the mistakes that drove a wedge between him and stephen with reid, and i think that had mandy patinkin stayed on, we would have gotten a larger parallel there. he holds him at arms length, trying not to get too close, although he definitely cares about him more than he lets on and the mask slips sometimes, like this moment and on the plane after ldsk.

Anyways, to those who have been wondering what we've been doing during our impromptu Tumblr Vacation or whatever we're calling it, we've been trying to find a playthrough of Baldur's Gate 3 that is made by someone who doesn't annoy the shit out of us, and also tormenting Karlach Cliffgate (as you do)

Am I the only one who genuinely sees Hetty caring more about Trevor each day? She seems so excited for his happiness lately! And...also...hurt when he is upset with her. Even though she kind of ignored him when he "broke up" with her, she was worried about him when he first brought her into the room. Maybe it is just wishful thinking, but I am seeing a deeper meaning in their relationship. I hope it is true.

No I agree! They're definitely still orbiting around each other. I think Hetty does care, she just doesn't know how to care- Hetty's very, very fickle and not great with her emotions, she's constantly being a hypocrite and flipflopping around with where her empathy gets placed which is a very fun character flaw of hers, you never really know how she's going to react to things because while we see often that she does care about her friends she's very selfish. You can see that while she starts and ends the break up scene being shitty, in the middle she does start to look contrite and guilty- until he leans into the Alberta-knows-about-your-plan thing and she pivots back into being Fixated on her scheme to get sucked off, which to her is the most important thing in the world (they have different goals- Trevor wants to be alive again/pretend he's still alive, and Hetty just is fed up with being a ghost and wants to get sucked off no matter what it takes). I think if that hadn't happened they might have made up there instead of breaking up, and you're right that she did initially care/seem concerned when he said they needed to talk. The fun thing about them is they really struggle to communicate with each other and they both goofed that conversation up, though to different degrees- Hetty can't handle criticism or the implication she's done something wrong, because she always has to be right/have the upper hand (and she also genuinely doesn't think she has done anything wrong but instead of hearing him out she instantly tries to shift the blame), so she immediately switches into trying to manipulate him, and then Trevor responds to her manipulation by bringing the fact that other people (Alberta) think she's being awful, but this backfires on him, lol. It was very cute how in the new episode she gets all excited about the Tara Reid thing with him, the way she elbows him with that genuine scrunchy happy face was adorable. It was very cute seeing her happy for him even if she switched to team get-rid-of-Jeremy because she's always gonna be on the side of Business. I really don't think they're done with each other because the nature of their relationship within the show-canon is that they love to hate each other, they're combustible and they butt heads but in a way that makes them- well- horny, LOL, and the way they bicker is definitely a part of that. The very bratty way Trevor tells her that "you can't make me (do what you want)" in the new episode felt very charged in a way that their dynamic building up to the initial kiss had been, so I'm remaining hopeful we'll see some more from them, since we know Asher and Rebecca are both wanting to do more :]
