I really hope the hermits and victims are okay right now, I'm glad they have each other at least though all this
Thankfully they're all adults with support. I trust their judgement as a group and will continue to do so.
If anyone on here needs support or to vent my ask box and dms are open. If you do not wish me to publish an ask (if you're just venting for example) please put that at the top.
P.s please do not send hate to anyone. Hate is never necessary.
#nix speaks#hermitcraft#iskall85#oh boy#i do not support iskall#or stress for supporting him#if I didnt support him before (I didnt) I certainly dont now#no decent person acts like he is doing. it isnt okay.#i hope he is able to get help and heal and become a better person. stress too.#the hermits are all older than me though some not by much so i absolutely trust and support their decisions when it comes to this#I've been through enough in my own life to pass my own judgement. In my opinion this is extremely disturbing#my judgement and opinion is that even if none of the allegations are true (which I first and foremost support the victims)#that the video is enough to tell me that iskall is not a good person and is not worthy of my support#i hope he is able to move on and heal and do it away from the internet. stress too#I am incredibly disappointed and will hopefully find an archive page to put my fics about him as I dont want them anymore

Hermits as Songs from the Mario Kart Wii OST
(yes specifically Wii, not mariokart 8. Their rendition of moo moo meadows is bad)
Bdubs- Maple Treeway (pretty song for the man with pretty builds. who am I kidding, all their builds are pretty lol. still think this one is vibey and suits him)
Beef- Moo Moo Meadows (yes, I think the chill vibes fit him, it's not just because there are cows. It's maybe a little bit just because there are cows)
Cleo- Luigi Circuit and Mario Circuit (first off, can't believe they used the same song for two courses. second off, nice song with interesting stuff going on throughout. she can have two courses, as a treat)
Cub- GBA Battle Course 3 (funky beat with higher energy and also just plain fun)
Doc- Grumble Volcano (spooky ominous song for the man who insists on playing a villain lol, but there's still more to it to make the song interesting)
Etho- N64 DK's Jungle Parkway (can't believe this man always builds in a jungle. same tune all the way through reflects his consistency in content [I mean this in a good way lol, his videos are great])
False- Rainbow Road (pretty song, gives me the sort of grand feeling that reminds me of her s9 base)
Grian- Chain Chomp Roulette (I don't know how to explain it but half the tune sounds like it's a satire of the funky chicken dance. Kinda baffling but still a good time)
Gem- Coconut Mall (a lot of fun but not overwhelmingly chaotic, iconic)
Hypno- SNES Battle Course 4 (look man idk, it's literally past midnight and this is what I'm doing. it fits his vibe I think)
Impulse- DS Delphino Square (good song with a lot going on, but balances it all very well)
Iskall- GCN Mario Circuit (great song with just the right amount of funk to it to keep things interesting)
Jevin- GBA Shy Guy Beach (got me boppin my head man, very pleasant tunes)
Joe- SNES Ghost Valley 2 (less a song and more like two minutes of spooky noises being strung together, which sounds like the kind of bit he'd commit to. Beetlejhost)
Joel- Moonview Highway (high energy, kinda crazy, lots of fun and great vibes)
Keralis- GCN Peach Beach (matches his tropical vibe this season)
Mumbo- Koopa Cape (kinda weird. kinda funky. half of it sounds like it's underwater, who comes up with this stuff)
Pearl- Mushroom Gorge (bouncy, lots of personality, lots of layers to the music and lots of layers to the detailing in her builds)
Ren- Aqua Resort (a banger, keeps things insteresting all the way through, a lot of fun)
Scar- GCN Cookie Land (not just because of the cookie shop lol. bouncy tune, a good time for Mr. Goodtimes)
Skizz- Finished Race [First Place] Results (not a course related song but still a banger, giving it to him because he deserves first place, and because I've only got good memories associated with it)
Stress- Daisy Circuit (pretty song, fairly chill with just a bit of a kick to it, reminds me of her brand of chaos)
Tango- Toads Factory (very industrial, fits his base this season. I was tempted to give it to Doc though)
TFC- Wario's Gold Mine (while a chiller track would probably fit him better, we're settling for the Mine One. Still a good song though)
Wels- N64 Mario Raceway (a bit calmer as far as some of these songs go, but no less interesting and fun for it)
xB- DK Snowboard Cross (calm. vibey. could have half his house blown up in demise and still be cool about it)
Xisuma- Block Plaza (fun, and the blocky noise reminds me of tech-related kinda stuff. not exactly reflective of his more naturey build style, but does relate a bit to his minecraft update videos or redstone work)
Zed- Dry Dry Ruins (much like this song randomly switching to a completely different song halfway through, I never know what he'll be doing next)
Playlist of the songs if anyone cares enough to listen to it and tell me why I'm wrong lol, but given I spent several hours on this and most people don't listen to the mario kart wii soundtrack for fun, I'm willing to assume I'm in safe waters

The secret was to not be interested at all in the empires crossover haha ^^' I tried watching one video and it was overwhelming so I just stuck to whatever other thing I was obsessed with at that time :P I think it was vault hunters??? I don't remember when the crossover happened, just that it made me go "I don't actually need to be subscribed to 18 hermits". Plus Beef kept working in his map-area instead of joining the crossover so I was still getting the hermitcraft content I was most interested in!
I did watch one HHH from the empires server but the only non-hermit I remember from that is fhwhip? something like that? There was someone else too but it's like a year ago and my memory just barely stretches 10 seconds back :P
I am really good at not learning stuff if I'm honest. All my life people have tried to tell me about Zlatan and I'm so uninterested in sportsball I've only really learned that he's probably a football player, possible an ice hockey player? It's pretty much the same thing. This is from a country where Zlatan is everyfuckingwhere. I blame the autism making me uninterested in celibr... cileb... famous people.
so uh... managing to not learn about one person out of fifty billions on the internet is actually surprisingly easy when compared to that xD
I don't think I've seen Scott on the VHSMP-server??? But I also haven't seen Ryan much so maybe he is there and I'm just not watching the right streamer to see him. It's very possible! I don't have interest in following all these streamers, Cleo, Brry and Iskall (and occassionally one of the Tangos) are more than enough. Did you know there are TWO Tango? It confused me so much at first and I thought Tango of the Tek-variety was gonna start working on vault hunters xD (would like to see TekTango try VH but I'm not gonna bug him about it, he's busy)
#YOU HAVE NOT SEEN THE JOE HILLS DEFENDER OF THE GAYS CLIP??? BLASPHEMY /j
I mean.... I've heard OF it because everyone in the hermitcraft-tag was talking about it, but not one single person actually shared it so I actually haven't seen it :$ (or if they did share it they also tagged it as MCC because Scott and I have that tag blocked just to I wouldn't get MCC-content when I was looking for Hermitcraft-stuff) I have seen it illustrated a bunch though, but uh... that only taught me Joe murdered someone for talking shit about the gays and not that the one getting murdered was named Scott x3
#ACTUALLY HOW AM I EVEN NOT TALKING ABOUT THE OBVIOUS: THE FUCKING LIFE SERIES
I uh... skipped that one too. I watched the very first episode and Grian went "In this series we're all working together to stay alive as long as possible" which I thought sounded really nice and wholesome and interesting (because I was interested in how to best stay alive in a hardcore world), but then in the very same episode he murdered Scar, they commited arson, and it was instantly every man for himself so I rewatched Team Canada play Sky Factory for the third time instead :P I've avoided the life-series since then ^^'
Listen if something is advertised one way and then actually is the complete opposit way I consider that False Advertising and will avoid it :P
(nowadays I know it's a deathgame which I'm also not interested in so like, it's good to see them have fun but I'm not gonna watch it when there's so much content I'm actually interested in out there x3)
As a community can we stop bugging the hermits that has expressed disinterest in MCC about participating in it and start bugging MCC about letting the hermits that has expressed interest in participating finally join in?
#windy wrambles#reblog#mcyt#we're updating the minecraft-tag on this now because this has moved away from just two mcyt-things to 50#mcc#the mcc-tag can stay for archivation purposes for my blog#I've learned more about mcc from this post than I did when the hermitcraft-tag was constantly spammed with it#task failed successfully?#I am kinda watching the new life-series though so if Scott is in that one maybe I'll learn who he is one of these days!#or if he and Iskall runs a vault together on the VHSMP I guess#whichever happens first#actually now I'm looking forward to when Iskall and Scott runs a vault together so if that doesn't happen I'll be disappointed#mostly at hermitblr for tricking me that scott is on the vhsmp-server#also this reminds me of when my kindaboss got surprised I didn't know about minecraftplayer tommy-something#innit I think???#he appeared in swedish television and since I watched some minecraft I was apparently supposed to know about him#there's thousands of miners and crafters out there how am I supposed to have energy to memorise them all#it's like when I say I watch digimon and people go 'oh then you know all the 1000 pokemons'#no that's a different series smh my head#but hey at least I've learned that Scott is/was on the Empires-server now!#progress!#honestly it takes me way too long to get used enough to new players that I get interested in them#I started with iskall because redstone and it still took me 3 weeks before I really watched (Iskall's) hermitcraft#and then another 2 weeks to get used to and start watching mumbo#and another 2 weeks for grian and like 2 months to start watching gtws#and from there some slow trickling into Impulse and Tango and Zed and X (also for the redstone)#if the empires thing only lasted 2 weeks there was no chance at all for me to develop interest in it

By this point, Grum was awake, and everything hurt. He didn’t know what was going on. Just about everything was being used for processing, so he didn’t even have the available memory to tell what was happening. An attempt to open his task manager just left the program not responding. With little else to do, Grum just started crying.
It was agony. No one was visiting anytime soon, and there was no way this feedback loop was ending on its own. It also didn’t help that Grum was currently connected to the charger, so it wasn’t like he would run out of battery soon.
Grum was vaguely aware of a percentage ticking up. The rate was speeding up over time and he was waiting for it to hit 100%. Maybe that would stop things. The percentage doubled every three total score increases, so Grum was sure that it would get past 16% at once.
The total went up. 73.5, 81.5, 89.5. Grum kept watching, ready to hit 100%. And it did and didn’t at the same time. 105.5%. That was more than 100, but maybe it would stop there? But it didn’t. It kept going further. In a moment of panic, Grum was able to gain just enough control to yank his cord out. He was losing power now, but it kept going up and up and up. He was still crying. It hurt so much. At the very least crying also used up battery, but Grum wished he didn’t have to. He just wanted to stop hurting.
He mostly stopped watching the percentage. At the very least the percentage added each time stopped at a max of 64, but it kept adding on.
Finally, Grum felt it all stop. The program stopped functioning due to extreme low power and he got a moment of relief. He glanced at the final total. 873.5%. Grum didn’t want to know how much further it could have gone. He also didn’t know what it was for, but that was okay. Right now he just. Wanted. To sleep.
Dream was upset. Everyone was freaking out and now he needed to deal with it. Fundy had been shot by a skeleton and died. Something like that was normal. What wasn’t normal, however, were the following 31 pairs of messages sent to everyone of Fundy leaving and then joining the world.
Chat had been filled with questions during it all happening, everyone seemingly holing themselves up wherever they were, scared that if they died, they would be in the same situation.
Finally it stopped, and a message from Fundy came in.
<Itsfundy> he was almost dead too.
Immediately, chat was filled with questions for Fundy as well as Dream. And the worst part was neither of them knew what was going on. But hopefully they would soon.
Dream sent a message to Fundy. Another offer. He could make up what he did before by coming with Dream to investigate the problem. At first, he refused, but then Dream gave the hybrid a little reminder on where exactly the problem may lie, and that seemed to get through to him.
Dream frowned ever so slightly behind his mask when Fundy’s final reply came in. This Iskall person had worked well before. It was someone Fundy had communicated with before. These robots, on the other hand, were new and unfamiliar. There was no reason for the hybrid to prioritize them over the communication to his ‘friend’.
Dream then closed the chat log with Fundy and swapped over to the one he had for the first robot. There was only one message in there. A video file. He played it and watched the recording. It started with the second robot introducing itself to Fundy, but then it immediately turned to static, Dream not able to see or hear what had been going on. When it came back, the two of them were discussing Fundy’s friend and he gave the robot the special comm for a moment. Dream laughed as the robot suggested that Fundy leave the SMP with him. It was just so outrageous of a thought every time. A little during that suggestion and more before it, there was more static. And then Fundy started to turn to the camera and the recording ended.
Dream wasn’t sure what the connection was, but it seemed like there had to be some connection between this video and what just happened. Both involved the robot and Fundy and some sort of error. And seeing as how Fundy would know what exactly had been blocked by static, he would be able to give Dream some… insight into the situation.
It didn’t take long for the admin to arrive at what the robot had built for shelter. Inside it was laying on a bed and turned off. The cord that let it charge was unplugged, so likely everything had stopped due to a low battery. Dream walked over and plugged the robot back in, surprised to see it was still sitting at 21% battery.
Before he could try to figure out why that was, the door opened behind him. Dream turned and was glad to see it was Fundy and not the other robot. “I expected you to take longer.”
Fundy responded with some weak panting, letting the admin know he had run most of the way there. “Well, I’m here now. What exactly do you need?”
“You died and then proceeded to be continually disconnected and reconnected to the world.”
“Yeah, that’s what everyone was saying. What does it have to do with him?” Fundy gestured to Grum.
“Well, a while earlier, you were talking with the other robot. You talked about that offworld friend of yours and it offered to take you to it’s old world.”
Fundy winced, remembering that Dream had somehow been spying on them. “Yeah, still not making the connection.”
“There was a third thing you talked about. What was it?”
That made Fundy pause. Dream didn’t know what else they had talked about, possibly he arrived later and heard the tail end of the conversation, but somehow that seemed unlikely. “We… just talked about the stuff relating to Iskall.”
“Oh I don’t think you did. I think you talked about something else. I suppose I could see if taking apart the robot will give me any answers… but-”
“No leave him alone!” Fundy said so protectively, it even surprised himself.
“See, what’s what I’m after. Why do you care so much about it?” Fundy didn’t respond. He tried to stay calm and look calm, but his instincts made that hard, causing his fur to puff up. “Well? What are you hiding?”
Fundy still didn’t respond, and after a few seconds, Dream tried moving towards Grum again. “Okay okay fine! Apparently he and his brother are my cousins!”
Dream froze completely. They were what?! That made no sense. Fundy’s dad? Dead. Fundy’s uncles? They had been living here. Well Tommy had gone missing, but him making something like this? Impossible. For a moment Dream contemplated the other side of Fundy’s family, but he felt that was unlikely.
“Do you want to elaborate on your own? Or do you want me to find out my way?”
Again, Fundy hesitated, but another threat got him talking. “One of their dads is my uncle apparently. Apparently my dad had another sibling.”
That was interesting. Phil had had another child? It never came up when looking into the hardcore player, but with how long he had been alive, it wasn’t impossible.
But then Dream frowned. That had been the issue. The blacklist had been set up so that one one in this robot’s supposed family or previous world could come looking for them. If it considered Fundy family, that would lead to what just happened. It was attempting to block Fundy from entering, but since the hybrid was only living there and had only been living there, it got stuck.
This also explained why the other missing people hadn’t returned. The three of them likely also had the same issue. At least with Tubbo, it was easy enough to say he had lost his last life, but while the other two had been living alone, far away from the rest of everything, it was only a matter of time before their absence was noticed. And there was no easy way to explain them being gone for good.
“Well then, I think that helps explain the problem. We’re just going to adjust some files and make sure it ignores you as a family member.”
“And the others?”
Dream tilted his head slightly. “What others? Techno and Phil? They’re not going to have any issues with respawning in the first place.”
“No. I mean Tommy.”
“Tommy’s dead. He’s been dead.”
“I’m pretty sure you know that isn’t true.”
Dream frowned. How could Fundy have any idea that Tommy wasn’t really dead. No one could have known. No one was around to see and he had disabled most of Tommy’s messages. And when he learned about the teen’s disappearance, he created a message that looked like a death message, fooling everyone.
“I know you saw the death message. Everyone did. Tommy is dead.”
“You are currently using this kid to fuck with the world! Who says you couldn’t fake that too?!”
“That’s not how it works.”
“And what proof do you have of that?”
“Tommy is gone. He’s not on any list for this world. His lives are at zero. You can go over to where he was exiled and see the tower he built to jump off of.”
Fundy wanted to yell back, but it was obvious they would just go in circles. “You know what. Fine. I’ll mess with the files, but I’m also letting Tommy in. If he’s really dead, it won’t be an issue, right?”
The hybrid couldn’t help but smile just a little when Dream couldn’t refuse it. He then started messing with Grum, trying to do as little to the bot’s files as possible. Fortunately getting to the blacklist files was easy enough. He saw the short list of roles that were being blocked, and Fundy attempted to open the ‘Family Member’ list to edit it. But he couldn’t, the file being password protected. “Dream, what’s the password?”
“There isn’t one. I didn’t give it any.”
Fundy raised a brow. “Look Dream, I can’t do what you want if I don’t know the password. If you’re really serious about me not knowing, I can leave the room for you to-”
“I. Did not. Use any password.” Dream spoke again, speaking the words out slowly. “There shouldn’t be one.”
Fundy looked back at Grum. Dream had known about the talk he had with Jrum that mentioned Iskall, but he didn’t hear anything about the relation to the bots. When he first got Fundy’s help, they had trouble accessing some files that were supposed to be information on Grum himself. Now they were trying to open a file with a list of the kid’s family and it was being blocked. Fundy was sure that the blacklist was supposed to keep people from coming in and rescuing the two brothers, but now Grum was using it to try and keep his family safe.
“Well, I guess since we can’t edit that, we’ll just have to make exceptions.” The fox hybrid said before making a new category and list, putting his name on the list.
“Not putting Tommy’s?” Dream asked, and Fundy nodded. If Grum was trying to keep people out, he wasn’t going to change it. Sure the hybrid wanted to put other names on the list, but that would need to be done when Dream wasn’t breathing down his neck.
“Nah, you’re right. No way for him to come back, so why bother.”
The hesitation from Dream made Fundy worry the admin was onto him, but then he left and Fundy was able to slump to the ground with a sigh. “Ugh, when did family become this much of a chore?”
Jrum happily kicked his legs as he sat at the table in Bad’s house. The demon served the bot a bowl of redstone which Jrum happily started eating. “Thank you very much!”
“Oh, it’s no problem. I have plenty strewn about in my chests and don’t use it much, so I’m glad someone can use it.”
“Yeah! And I’ve already finished gathering up everything I need for my charger! Now all I need is to figure out where I’m going to build everything.”
“Well, I know it’s not much space, but I’m sure we could fit you in nearby if you connect up to this place.” Bad suggested, making Jrum pause.
“What do you mean? Isn’t this your house?”
“Well it is,” Bad started. “But you saw the plants covering the place. Those are connected to the egg in the cave you found. It really likes this place and you definitely seem to like it just as much as me and Ant. What better place to stay than right here?”
Jrum thought about it. It did seem like a nice place. And He doubted Bad would be the kind of person to get upset at any sprouts he tried to grow. And… he was really nice… and kind… and was helping him. Sure, Jrum wanted to prove he could do things on his own, but he didn’t want to be completely alone. “You’d really let me?”
“Of course!”
“Then… yeah! I’d like that! Where should I connect to? What’s the best place for my charger?”
“Here, once you’re done eating, I can show you where you can start.”
Jrum nodded and then began to shovel the redstone from his bowl, eating it as fast as he could. The moment the bowl was empty, he was up out of his chair and ready to go looking with Bad. They found an area which Jrum could use, but they needed to move a few vines.
The two of them started carefully pushing the vines around, just making a large enough area for Jrum to start building in. There were a few times Bad tried to help the little robot, but being a robot, Jrum was much stronger than he looked and didn’t have much trouble.
But then Jrum got to a particularly large part of the vines and tried to move it a bit, lifting it up so it wouldn’t get caught. He almost got it to where he wanted when his center of balance was shifted too far and he tripped, falling to the ground with the large vine pinning him there. Jrum struggled a bit, but couldn’t move much and also wasn’t at an angle to easily pick it up again.
“H-Help! Daddy, I’m stuck!” Jrum cried out on instinct. He had often gotten stuck when they were doing a redstone project together, Jrum fitting where most people couldn’t, and then overestimating how small a space he could fit into and getting pinned.
Jrum wriggled a bit more before the vine was moved off his back and he was picked up. “Thank you.” Jrum automatically said, then realized what he had shouted before. “Oh… I-I’m sorry for… before.”
“What do you mean?” The demon asked. “You were doing well before, I just didn’t realize how strong you were.”
“N-No. I mean… I… said the wrong name.”
Bad paused. “Huh, I guess you did. Eh, it’s fine. Honestly I sort of miss hearing that instead of just Dadboyhalo.”
Jrum giggled. “Who calls you that?”
“I have a kid named Sapnap. I’m not sure if you’ve met him, but he’s somewhere on this world.”
Jrum shook his head. “No, so far I’ve met uhhhhh… You and Ghostbur and Puffy and Dream and Mister Sam and Fundy and uhhhhh I think that’s it. Oh no wait! I also met Michael and his dad Boo!”
“Oh, I’ve heard about Michael. I know technically you’re a robot, and robots don’t age, but you seem young enough the two of you could be friends.”
“Yeah, he seemed really nice. Though his… parent? Boo seems protective of him.”
“Yeah, well after what happened to his friends I can see why.”
That concerned Jrum. “Oh no! What happened?”
“Well, both of them lost their last lives. They’ve both been on one for a while, and with how reckless they can be, it’s a little-”
“What do you mean, last lives?” Jrum tilted his head.
“Well, you know when something important causes you to die, it takes one of your three lives?”
“No. How does that work?”
“Huh… well I think we might want to wait on that conversation until we’ve built what you need, because that could lead to a long conversation.”
Jrum was a little upset he couldn’t know now, but he saw the reasoning. His charger was much more important right now. “Okay, later works!”

Mumbo or Iskall are the only possible Demise winners because it’s the only outcome that will sedate the shreeking pre-teens.
In many ways Hermitcraft is like professional TV wrestling: it’s real because the stunts are real, and most of the drama is unplanned improvisatory brilliance. But let’s not beat around the bush: the Hermitcraft members are not idiots, at least not since the Sheep Head incident of Season 5.
In this essay I will sketch out reasons and evidence as to why the winner for the Demise is planned and why it is going to be one of the three remaining Dragon Bros, with Mumbo being the most likely one.
The thesis of this piece basically comes down to this: Hermitcraft is aware of the destructive qualities of its fanbase and will plan Mumbo (or to a lesser degree Iskall, or to a lesser degree Bdubs) to be the winner of the piece.
This requires us to prove that first and foremost Hermitcraft is aware of the destructive qualiies of their fanbase. Luckily, season 5 provided us with just the thing: the Sheep Head incident. Long story short, for a skit BdoubleO pretended that StressMonster stole several somewhat hard to get sheep heads from one of his chests. He later revealed that she didn’t and that he was just being forgetfull and left them in a different chest - part of the whole “going insane” shtick he was doing for the whole season. Naturally, his fanbase of thousands never made it to the “oh wait, I’m just an idiot” part of the joke, and Stressmonster’s comment section was overrun with harassment and reportedly even death threats (and I have to specify that I never seen death threats exactly myself, but only because they cleaned it up with a nice swoop of a banhammer. I personally know about this because I was told by one of her more hardcore fans). Bdubs actually had to have an intervention with his fanbase in a hermitcraft episode telling them to tone it down, but in my opinion, it was too little too late, wouldn’t work on the people at fault, and frankly what did they think would happen if you pit a 10K subs channel against an over-a-million one?! (probably that it would bring a new bigger audience to Stress, but that’s just me backseat youtubing)
The Sheep Head incident was a grim reminder that the internet is the internet and the internet is also horrible. The whole NHO storyline got real soft right after it letting way for ConCorp shenanigans, which I personally found more fun anyway, but that’s neither here nor there. The message was clear tho: Hermitcraft needs to thread lightly with their bigger channels, a lesson they will not forget.
And we know that forget they didn’t, as the fanbase was swift to remind them of it. Ever wonder why we never found out the identity of the Jingler and the storyline was left to go cold? Well, it might have something to do with the Architect infinity room being Jingled. The butthurt of Grian’s sizeable fanbase was massive at the time, as pre-teens were pisssed that the reveal of it to Mumbo was “ruined”. Therefore HC just swept the Jingler identity under the rug as to not give all that pure Kyle energy a target.
Which is fine and actually pretty smart, given the circumstances. But this made the Hermitcraft storylines a very easy to spot weak point: now people with larger channels would become untouchable within the storylines.
A very simple example there is that aside from the Demise, this season so far GRIAN HAS NOT BEEN A LOSER IN ANYTHING. Every Grian-centirc storyline - and let’s face it, they’re all Grian-centric - has resulted in Grian winning or a least losing to himself. The Hermitville Build off? it’s a tie. The Area77 raid? Grian successfully accomplishes everything he’s setup to do. The Civil War? Grian’s team gets to win and Grian personally heroically delivers the last flag at the last moment!
The Jangler v Sherlock Grian storyline is specifically all about how Grian is smarter than everyone and runs laps around the rest’s deductive reasoning.
It gets to a ridiculous level, when Grian starts putting curse of binding dragon heads on people during demise - a move which on anyone else would result in SO MANY PRANKBACKS -and gets away with it! People he robbed of a helmet slot in the times when armor is crucial for some reason all react friendly and happily join his fanclub poorly disguised as a cult.
But now - a full year into the season - they finally feel safe enough to let him die in the Demise (and even then it’s probably just so he can deliver the final supertrap at the last survivors to the rooting of the toddlers in the audience).
AND HIS FANBASE IS ALREADY FARTING UP A STORM ABOUT THE TRAP THAT KILLED HIM BEING GRIEFING. They’re not upset about griefing, guys, they’re just looking for an excuse to whine about their favorite hermit not getting to win something for the first time in a year.
In this situation any actual Demise winner for Hermitcraft will just result in this fanbase lashing out at them, hence the swift dispatchment of ZombieCleo and TFC - the two remaining participants with the least following.
The only way for HC to now “handle” Grian’s juvenile fanbase is to give them someone they already like: the archi-bois frienderoos, Iskall or Mumbo. And if I had to guess, they’re going to go with Mumbo, just to make it seem like a twist: the one guy with the least aggressive tactics suddenly coming through and winning this.
A charitable expectation would be to say that JoeHills is an option, as his popularity in the fanbase has been on the rise, he’s super good at dealing with children harassing him by now, and also his channel needs some help growing, but really, that’s too much to ask from this group.
Also of note is that played genuinely on a server like Hermitcraft, Demise will last a week if that, leaving but a nice crator where once was the shopping district.
So, there’s my lenghty and unnecessarily aggressive diatribe on the nature of Hemitcraft fandom and how that bends the stories they tell with their gameplay. Hope you had fun, I know I did. And if Demise ends, and Docm is the winner, please forget you ever saw this post and pretend that I stil have some credibility left in me.
Next time on “SHUT UP ZLOY” we’ll talk about how every minigame Grian introduced was actively preventing people from playing on the server which is a bit annoying when their livelihoods depend on making videos from said server.

End of Act 1
But far from over
First | Previous | Next
Something was very wrong, that much was apparent. Without checking his comms, Tango knew, as he had with Cub and Xisuma, that Iskall was dead. That's not what was so troubling, though. The flash of blue and the sudden horribly alien glee rippling through him freaked him out.
Now, more than ever, Tango needed to focus. Never mind that every hermit who came to watch was also dead, but Iskall dying was critical and Tango didn't have time to find out why.
He could hear TFC–or Earth, rather–directing Stress and Grian to stay in position, and for that he was grateful; he could focus on what he needed to do.
Which was–he now realized–to facilitate a little chat.
~~~
He never felt himself hit the ground. One instant he was falling in incredible pain, the next he was standing in front of a massive pillar of fire.
Iskall expected to be afraid, but he wasn't. He was furious; part of him realizing the fury wasn't entirely his own.
As the pillar of flame walked closer to him, a voice rang through the thick air:
How dare you.
The pillar stopped. Again, the voice rang out:
How dare you.
The pillar looked as if it would speak, but it never got the chance; it disappeared in a flash of smoke. Behind the clearing smoke, however–
Was Xisuma.
~
Xisuma's base was a whirling inferno. The only thing keeping the four avatars from burning was Tango's sheer will; a will he directed at the inferno itself.
"Fire! As I am bound to you, so you are bound to me! Answer!"
I need not answer you!
Tango looked at Fire grimly. "You already have." He layed his hand on the altar's southern point, the other avatars mirroring him.
Do you even know what that does?
"I do," said Earth, calm and unfazed. "It calls forth the wronged, and you have just committed a grave mistake without considering the consequences."
Another flash of brilliant blue light and Fire was thrown into the wall, a sparkling diamond figure where he had stood.
How dare you! You thought I wouldn't interfere!?
Wh–I don't understand–
Because you don't think! You never think! Now your avatar has to do it for you!?
~
"X?" Iskall, still in shock, was trying to process everything. "I thought you were dead. Or am I dead?"
"We're both dead. Though, I'm wondering who the diamond-blue person behind you was; he seemed furious," said X, looking past him.
"Diamond? Huh." Maybe that would explain a few things. "What have you been doing this whole time?"
X looked amused. "Saving you and Python from mobs of pigmen for one."
"Ah, that was...quite nice. Thank you."
A pause.
"So now what do we do?"
~
What have you done with him!?
Nothing yet! Why would you even care!?
Why would I care!? WHY WOULD I CARE!? Surely you can't be this blind. Release him!
As if I'd listen to the likes of you.
Don't make me force you.
Oh, you're threatening me? Is this how you want to handle this!?
YOU WRONGED ME.
...
RETURN HIM.
For a moment nothing moved but sparks and embers. The internal conversation that took place must have made an impression; Fire's flames dampened. He seemed almost afraid.
...alright geez. Calm down.
A flash of light.
~
Joe was kind of glad he hadn't gone. When he'd asked Cleo if she wanted to watch the spectacle, she'd reminded him about Cub, and about how he might wake up alone and utterly confused. And even though Joe was ready to go outside and safely die from a creeper-induced heart attack, she was right. He thrived on confusion, but that would be just tacky.
They had been conversing quietly—Cleo was telling him of a weird dream she had earlier—when an explosion went off, in the distance, from the direction of X's base. Joe could think of a few reasons why that would happen, but none of them were good. Evidently, Cleo came to a similar conclusion and started to head outside.
But before they could make it far, a noise could be heard from the Ministry.
Cub was waking up.
~
Whatever panic Python had when Iskall passed out in the tunnel now returned tenfold. As he laid Iskall's body next to X's, he tried his best not to think about his situation. He already disliked the Nether; hours and hours of quartz mining had seen to that. Now, alone with no foreseeable way out, Python knew he would never go back in if he could help it.
But all that dread soon turned to relief as two of his friends, one just recently taken, started to stir.
~~~
Several days had passed since Cub found himself in the Ministry and X, Iskall, and Python walked out of the Nether. Outwardly, things returned to a normal rhythm. But know everyone knew they weren't alone. Besides the Four Cardinal Directions–as they were now known–no other avatars were revealed. Some hermits, however, had their suspicions.
X had been in his base for the past day or so, sifting through world data. He had suspicions on a few counts, and both had finally borne fruit.
First, he'd confirmed his (suspicions) about the shadowy being who approached him years ago. They had been an Element from the End, yet his encounter with them left him scarred and definitely not an avatar. He hadn't yet found why.
His second findings were on the diamond-blue person and his connection–if any–to Iskall. And hoo boy, was there a connection. There was the same connection between the two of them as there was between Tango and Fire, or Stress and Water. Iskall was Diamond's avatar.
Curious, X had searched the other hermits for a similar connection, and found two. Doc and Ren. Doc had been fairly easy to figure out; his scary ability to mold redstone to his liking, his eerily accurate diagnostics on whatever was wrong with a circuit, his strange cybernetics. Doc was Redstone's avatar.
But Ren. Ren was a mystery. The only reason X had figured out Iskall and Doc's Elements was because he already had had an idea of who it could be; but with Ren, he had no such idea.
All X could do now was wait.
~~~
"I don't know why I wasn't killed by the magic blast, Tango. I was kind of hoping you would know."
"But you were killed when you hit the wall..."
"Are you trying to figure out why?"
Tango looked at Zed, amused. "And you don't want to know?"
Zed laughed, saying, "I just thought it was my wonderful personality."
"To save you from a incredibly powerful magic blast?" Joking as they were, Tango was deep in thought. And in a situation like this, there was only one thing to do, experiment!
~~~
As he approached the entrance to the Stock Exchange station, Mumbo was pleasantly surprised to not hear angry yelling. Entering the station proper, he couldn't immediately see Doc, but he knew he was here.
Sure enough, Doc was working on the departure/arrival area of track, fine-tuning the minecart dispensing and re-uptake system.
"Doc? You here, mate?"
A head poked up from behind the platform. "Yeah, man. What's up? Checking in on me?"
Mumbo looked a little sheepish. "Yeah, kind of. You all right? Redstone no longer going haywire?"
Doc climbed out of the rail pit and looked at the vending machine. "No, it's weird. After this whole 'Element' dealio, everything's gone back to normal. I'm not sure how to explain it, but I don't really want to know, either."
"Yep, I can understand that. don't want to mess with anything."
"Yes, that."
They both stood in companionable silence for a few moments before Mumbo asked, "So, you want any help with this one?"
Doc looked at him, amused. "If you're up for it, then I won't turn you down."
As they worked, Mumbo was constantly amazed by how intimately Doc knew his redstone circuits, able to pinpoint exactly where a change needed to take place without needing visual contact with it. Between the two of them, redstone powerhouses in their own ways, the minecart circulation system was one of the most beautifully constructed machines either of them had seen.
~~~
"They really aren't leaving you alone, are they?"
"I feel like they think I've been away too long."
Stress laughed as one of the huskies tugged on Iskall's sleeve as he tried to leave the lab. "And what makes you think that?"
"Hercules! Honestly! I'm not going very far! Sit!" Hercules obediently, if a bit reluctantly, let go of Iskall's sleeve and sat. "I'll be twenty minutes, and I'll be back, ok?" Iskall scratched Hercules' ears and said, "Good boy. I'll be back soon, I promise." Hercules whined, but stayed put.
Finally able to take off, Iskall went after Stress, who was already in the air, waiting for him. When she'd contacted him about the ice farm (of doom), he welcomed something fresh to do.
"From how he acts, you'd think it's been weeks since he last saw you," said Stress as they flew side by side.
"Well, he's always been more attached to me that Venus is. Besides, I think he could feel what I went through. You ever had that feeling? That your dogs know what you go through?"
"That hadn't really occurred to me, but now that you mention it, I could believe a few of them do." Stress paused for a moment, before continuing, "The rest, I'm not to sure about."
The rest of the way to the ice farm, they chatted; mostly about their animal companions and future plans for the lab.
~~~
It was dark. The sun was far overhead, but under the dense jungle canopy, it was dark. A shape edged through the shadows, careful to not disturb whatever might be lurking beyond them. A parrot, intrigued by this movement, perched nearby and started chattering.
"Where did—? Shush! Not now, dude!" Ren was desperately trying to quiet his stubborn new friend, who was quite happy to argue back.
"Of course I can handle myself, I'd just rather not tangle with anything if I can help it! Don't you have someone else you can bother?" Ren listened to the bird. "Fine. Come along if you must, but please. Be quiet!" The bird settled herself on his shoulder, quite pleased.
Now thoroughly distracted, Ren had to get back on track. He was looking for an ocelot, though why he wasn't quite sure. Even if he did find one, he wasn't sure he could get very close. He wasn't stealthy like Python, or fast like Grian; and ocelots were notoriously difficult to negotiate with. Negotiating was still his best bet.
It took the better part of an hour for him to glimpse a flash of yellow in the dense foliage. Crouching down, he once more impressed the importance of silence to his parrot passenger; he didn't want to spend more time than he had to out here. She ruffled her feathers and stayed quiet.
When he moved closer, Ren heard a small mew. Tentative, inquisitive.
"No, I'm not going to hurt you." He listened to the ocelot meowing, answering, "No, nothing like that. I just want to talk."
As the ocelot slowly crept from it's hiding place, Ren became aware of a gentle green glow from behind him. Turning around, a figure seemed to emerge from the trunk of the nearest tree. If that wasn't enough to make him faint, she spoke.
Welcome. The forest has accepted you, you are finally ready. Come, walk with me.
Utterly shocked, Ren fainted dead away. Maybe it was a bit to much.

here we go
Gem = Semi
Kiwen Utala (Fighting Gem) I ended Gem's name with an I sound because of her full username, gemini. Utala describes her pvp ability and Kiwen describes her resolve, as well as relating to gems and jewels, like her name.
Grian = Ijen
Suno Loje (Red Sun) There is no GR sound in toki pona, so I figured it was close enough to just remove it. I don't have a super good reason for calling Grian "Red Sun"; he always wears red, so Loje, and he often is given a sun motif, so Suno.
Mumbo = Manpo
Ilo Pakala (Broken Machine) When I told this one to a friend they got mad at me, because Ilo Pakala literally translates to Broken Machine. I think it's funny, especially because Pakala is also used as a curse word in toki pona.
Skizz = Kisi
Kalama Olin (Sound of Love) I'm ending Kisi with an I because I legally have to and also it sounds like "kissy" and I think he'd like that. Skizz is always yellin his affection for others, so I think this fits him pretty well.
Scar = Ka
Wawa Esun (Selling Confidence) Scar's name was one of the easiest to translate. His sitelen pona, however, was very difficult. I ended up with Wawa (strength/confidence) Esun (business/deals) because of his completely warranted confidence when scamming people.
Impulse = Enpu
Tomo Jelo (Home of Gold) Yellow for branding! I also think Impulse is the kind of person that is home to his friends, and "home of gold" can extrapolate to "heart of gold."
Joel = Jole
Pali Nasa (Unhinged Building) This one is pretty self explanatory, but it's also pretty basic. If you can do better, tell me your idea!
Bdubs = Pita
Musi Tenpo (Art of Time) You have no idea how long it took to figure out Bdubs's name. I promise this is the best we could do. I chose Musi (art) because everything he touches becomes beautiful and Tenpo (time) because of his whole sleeping-time king thing.
Keralis = Ketale
Oko Mani (Eye for Profit) This one I chose because Keralis has his classic huge and wide eyes (oko) and also is commonly one of the richest hermits (mani), but also because their combined meaning of Eye for Profit could describe his gambling addiction enjoyment.
Etho - Ito
Mama Seli (Creator of Explosions) I wanted to include Mama (creator/origionator) because of Etho's status as THE minecraft youtuber. I wanted to include Seli (explosion/fire) because of his proficiency in TNT. Together, they mean Creator of Explosions, and I think that's pretty fitting lol.
Tango = Tenko
Seli Musi (Artistic Chaos) Do I have to say anything other than Decked Out/j? Tango is quite chaotic and cartoonish (musi) and has a whole theme of fire (seli) so I think this one's pretty easy.
Xisuma = Esuma
Lawa Suwi (Soft Authority) Somehow the hardest name to pronounce in english is the easiest name to translate to toki pona X is a wet cat admin, and so I tried to translate that as best I could.
Wels = Weli
Nasin Utala (Fighting with Honor) This one I'm pretty proud of. It goes with his medieval knight theming and also describes how his southern rage is only being contained by his southern politeness.
Stress = Teso
Suwi Monsuta (Sweet Monster) Teso ends in O because the next part of Stress's name is mOnster. I called her Suwi Monsuta because although she's sweet (suwi) she's also terrifying (monsuta).
Iskall = Ikale
Lon Alasa (Hunter of Truth) This one I'm pretty proud of. Hunter (alasa) is a reference to his Vault Hunters modpack. But together with Lon (truth/reality), it describes his more recent approach to video making.
Rendog = Wenpa (or Ren = Wen)
Musi Soweli (Dog of Theature) Self explanatory. Soweli means Land Animal, the closest we've got to Dog, and Musi means art/theature/etc. Dog of Threature!
Pearl = Pelu
Ante Anpa (Upside-Down Alien) This translation is a bit of a stretch, but it's the closest I could get afaik. It more directly translates to different/odd/strange (ante) dowm/below/under (anpa).
Jevin = Jewen
Ko Poka (Slime Neighbor) Ko describes a formless mass/shape, like powder or in this case slime. Poka means next to, which I'm using to mean neighbor. Jevin is always getting involved with and pranking his neighbors, so I figured it fit. It also just sounds nice.
Cleo = Lijo
Ko Moli (Sculptor of Death) Ko also refers to clay, so I'm using it to mean sculpting here. Moli means death and dying. A friend pointed out that Ko also means shifting and formless, and could be used as a modifer to Moli to mean Undead, which is think is perfect.
Joe = Jo
Ijo Kulupu (Phenomenon of Community) I know I wanted Joe to have Kulupu (community) as one of his words because a large portion of what he does is for the hermitcraft community as a whole. Ijo can mean thing/something/phenomenon, and I couldn't think of a better descriptor for the enigma that is Joe Hills.
Xb = Epi
Kala Suwi (Sweet Fish) He just does fish things all the time, what can I say. Suwi here means soft or sweet, Soft to describe his voice and vibe and Sweet because that's what Keralis is always sayin to him lol.
Beef = Pisi
Musi Lipu (Art of Cards) You have no idea how hard it was to translate the name Beef into toki pona. I tried bro.
Docm = Taken
Ilo Nasa (Crazy Machines) The EN at the end of Taken is from trying to mimic the M at the end of DocM. Self explanatory words.
Hypno = Enjo
Kon Esun (Trader of Souls) I like this one, it's specifically referring to horsehead farms from season 8 where they'd take payment in IOUs (souls. to me). I also think it describes Hypno's fae-like qualities as well. Don't ask me to elaborate.
TFC = KiJenSi
Ma Ale (Homeland of All)
False = Pase
Alasa Sewi (Queen of Hunting) This one had me stumped for a while until I put these two words together. Sewi means above/sky/higher up, and in this case I'm using it to mean Queen, or someone higher in rank, as a reference to her Hermitgang verse.
Cub = Kapa
Soko Esun (Fungal Businessman) This one seems out there but I swear I have reasonings. Soko means fungus/mushrooms, and in this case I'm referring to Sculk. Esun is because of Cub's Convex hijinks with Scar.
Zedaph = Seta
Sono Nasa (Knowledge of Insanity) Last but not least, we have Zedaph. I have no way to describe Zedaph other than "he's doing whatever you didn't expect him to do." So I feel like this fits pretty well.
And that's it! I posted a version of this a couple days ago on Reddit to get advice on the tokiponaification of their names, and learned the phonics of toki pona are a lot more strict than I first realized. The users jan Elije and ClearGraces-Despair were very helpful, and I used their names for Mumbo, Bdubs, Tango, Xb, Cub, Zedaph (elije) and Pearl (CG-D). I've linked the post here.
so i tried to tokipona-fy the names of the hermits
⚠️I am still a beginner in toki pona, so if anything here violates the language/phonics rules, IM SORRY I tried⚠️
Under the cut is a brief explanation of toki pona and how the words and letters are pronounced, and reblogged after it is a list I've made (with some credited help) of each hermit, their tokipona-fied name, their combined sign, and an explanation of why I chose what I chose.
For those of you who don't know what toki pona is, it's a minimalist language with only 120 official words and ~135 widespread words. It's got only 14 letters and 14 phonemes (sounds). For comparison, the english language has roughly 1 million words, 26 letters, and 44 phonemes.
Toki pona does not have the english letters b, c, d, f, g, h, q, r, v, x, y, or z. You may now be realizing how difficult (impossible) it would be to mimic a name like Bdubs in this language. Not only do B and D not exist in toki pona, but the U here makes the "uh" sound, a sound that ALSO isnt in toki pona.
Each letter in toki pona makes one, and only one, sound. J is pronounced like english Y as in "yikes". A is pronounced like "fAr", E is pronounced like "bEt", I sounds like "whEEE!" (or according to some like "bIt"), O is pronounced like "Or", and U is pronounced like "mOOn".
In addition, there's several specific phonics rules for toki pona. You can't end any syllable with a consonant other than N (although vowels are allowed) and the phonomes Wu, Wo, Ji, and Ti are illegal.
Toki pona uses 14 latin letters (a,e,i,j,k,l,m,n,o,p,s,t,u,w), but it also has a separate glyphic form called sitelen pona.
For each hermit, I'm going to give their tokipona-fied name, a combined glyph, the name of the words in the glyph, a meaning for those words, and then an explanation for Everything.

THIS! ALL OF THIS!
So I’ve been noticing this since I started watching other perspectives of hermitcraft this season, about how Grian cuts out things or doesn’t mention them in his videos. Stuff like messing with people in streams, helping people with their bases, everything like that.
Now I’m about to go in a little different of a direction than OP, but bear with me.
Grian cannot, for the life of him, take a compliment directly.
(putting this under a read more cause dang it longer than i thought it would be)
Now I do not know Grian’s personal life enough to be able to know if this is like some deep-rooted insecurity or if it’s just him being easily flustered or if he is one of those people who is like “I don’t need praise because I do good things cause I want to.”
But I will say that he has absolutely no issue with attention.
He wants attention to be drawn to him for ridiculous, nuisance based things. The gremlin type persona that he has created for himself. Increasing the invitations slowly but surely, setting up a mayor campaign for Mumbo without his knowledge, the mycelium menace, the countless pranks.
I’m pretty sure the only time Grian has actively searched out positive attention on camera (to my knowledge) is with the messaging system. And I think that was more of just wanting Mumbo’s attention, as is his usual agenda.
But Grian will almost always deflect compliments or direct positivity (like the SOS Africa stream) or simply refuse to acknowledge they happened to his audience (like we see in the Bdubs collab). He’ll compliment himself sometimes by stating how proud he is of himself, and will openly compliment others.
We know Grian helps out tons, as according to Scar how Grian has given him tons of ideas and inspiration, how Grian helped Ren with his calculations and terraforming, helped Iskall out with his leaf placing, helping Scar retrieve his stuff when he dies, and probably so much more that I don’t know about. That’s not mentioning the endless server-wide events he has made for everyone to get content out of.
And people know this! And repay him! And he can accept gifts pretty well! It’s verbal compliments or acknowledgements that he can’t deal with well.
I can also kind of tell from the slight tone of voice switch when he goes from solo-recording to collabing when he suddenly becomes more guarded of what he says. It’s less obvious with the people he’s closer with (Mumbo, Iskall, and Scar) but around people like Bdubs it’s a lot more. When he is solo-recording he is a lot more loose with what he’ll say (dare I also say a Lot more British too), he’ll get distracted far easier, put himself down but also build himself up, and all that normal jazz. When he is recording with others he is definitely a lot more focused, and a lot more intentional with his words.
I noticed this the most when Grian was inviting Bdubs to help him with interiors and Grian was kind of tripping over what he was trying to say. He is a very eloquent person, and I 100% agree that he could make a great politician because of it. So hearing Grian stumble with his wordings and repeat himself when he usually doesn’t when talking to Bdubs, and then having his pitch go 3 octaves higher when he tells Bdubs that he knows he likes interior, is endlessly fascinating to me. Because it’s one of the more unusual scenes from a Grian collab (or video for that matter).
Furthermore, regarding the types of things Grian will cut, he tends to cut out things that are maybe considered more “slow-paced” or “less entertaining,” while Bdubs will cut out repetitive stuff. Bdubs didn’t show every time Grian and him died, but did include the core interaction and thought process in the trap. Grian didn’t show as much banter, but did show the process of trapping the hoglins and a little time lapse of them waiting. Bdubs included himself being “double-initiated” as he put it but not Grian excitedly telling Scar about the impeccable timing he had with his death, while Grian did the opposite.
I don’t know, these are things that I’ve noticed regarding Grian’s personality and video style that I think are just really interesting. This is super long, and is mostly me rambling but it’s just... fascinating and super interesting to me.
As a person, Grian is just a genuinely nice guy who wants to help out wherever he can. And I think that’s really cool.
Ok, this is going to be one of the weirdest, stream of consciousness style analysis post but let’s go.
Warning! This is a character analysis of a real, living person!
I am not going to be talking about a fandom’s interpretation of a character named Grian. (that’s a head case all on its own.) No. I am analyzing the person who is currently living on this earth right now, Grian, and his presentation online. Why? Because I’m a storyteller at heart and the best way to make realistic characters is to pull from real people. (Also, because none of my friends are into hermitcraft so I have to dump my weird psychology analysis here)
***I’m on mobile, I don’t remember if you can make breaks here***
In Bdubs most recent Hermitcraft episode: #26 - The Loop Prank!, (very good episode, I highly recomend) Bdubs says something along the lines of,
‘Grian have you ever considered joining Sidecraft? Because your really smart!’
At first this cought me off guard because Sidecraft is really know for being more focused on the technical aspects of Minecraft with Redstone machines and manipulating I game mechanics to produce results. Giran presents himself to be more of an entertainer and artist like Bdubs him self.
But as the episode progressed I noticed Bdubs left in pieces of clips that Grian took out of his own episode—for what reason, I have no idea and will probably be forever a mystery only Grian himself will know—but in those clips they showed a different side of Grian that isn’t immediately noticeable if your not looking for it.
Grian is observent, analyticly inclined, is an incredibly quick thinker and desisive.
Ok... writing it like that kinda makes me want to go, “DUH” there are tons of examples like that,
Grian’s naturally draw to making his build more geometic: his season 6 base was literally cylinders stacked on top of each other and his season 7 mansion is just a series of rectangles on different angles, big deal. Well if watch Ren’s episodes you might remember back when he was building the hanger bay, Ren said it was Grian who layed out a guiding line for Ren to rebuild the pit in order to make it a perfect circle.
Grian is constantly coming up with server wide events: the Original Tag game, the Hot Potato game, the Demise event where all planed events Grain started in season 6, and so far in season 7 (as of 27th of August 2020) Tag 2: electric boogaloo and the Mayor Election event.
All of Grian’s shops have been attempts to capitalise off of holes in the market: the Lazy Merchents Travelling Cart (that never moved), Sahara, and now the Bardge.
Grian is the flyer of the server: while everyone does fly on the server, every hermit—including Grian himself—have openly admitted to us, the audience, that Grian is the best flyer. This is important because flying in any game requires sharp reflexes, both physically and mentally, due to the exelorated speed and sensitive manoeuvre-ability in order to doge obsicals as well as land safely. You can see that at the end of Bdubs video when he originally moved into the upside down, where Grian is teaching Bdubs how to land a the one block wide doorway. (A display of skill that Grian pulls off flawlessly)
What’s your point?
There is no argumentative point being made, I just find it interesting that Grian has one of the most caulated minds on the Hermitcraft server but doesn’t actively draw attention to that part of himself. Rather, his feats of calculation and cleverness is presented to us, the viewers—& most likely to Grian himself, since, it’s incrediblely had to perform a character annalysis on your own presentation—as bref moment of cunningness, simple dumb luck or is outright hidden in plain sight.
Give him time (and willingness to put in the effort) and I could see him genuinely become a redstone master akin to Etho, Doc, Tango or Zed. (I would also say Impulse but I think Grain has made a vow against villagers for now).
Actually, if he ever wanted to change his career Grian would make for an excellent politician—he has the anilitical mind that can easily break down complexities, a sharp-wit matched with a silver tongue and likeable personality, is desisive and is a natural leader, plus his energy is infectious to thoughs around him. Hmm... it would explain why Doc and Grian make such great foiles from a narrative perspective.
