"Do you even own anything?" you asked, looking around Bradley's beige apartment. There was a stack of about ten moving boxes, two tubs of baseball cards, and some laundry baskets of clothing. "This is alarming. I'm marrying a man who doesn't own anything."
Bradley rolled his eyes at you. "I tried to tell you we didn't need Molly and Bob to come help. I could have done this with Everett." He had explained to you that his apartment came fully furnished and he had claimed that he didn't own much. But this was next level.
"Listen, Kitten," he added, wrapping his arms around you while Everett tossed Bradley's baseball caps into one of the laundry baskets. "I haven't really had a home since I was in high school. Barracks and fully furnished apartments were it." Your heart melted as he added, "Thanks for inviting me to live in your home."
"It's about to become yours, too. You can do whatever will make you happy and comfortable."
Just then Molly and Bob showed up, and Bradley's eyes lit up. "Everett!" he shouted. "We're getting a Phillies room!"
"What?" you sputtered, laughing at his excitement. "I didn't say-"
"A Phillies room!" Ev chanted, pumping his fists in the air.
"Shit," you whispered as Molly came up behind you and gave you a hug.
"This is it?" Bob asked, looking around at Bradley's stuff. "You needed my truck for five boxes?"
Bradley shrugged. "I tried to tell her not to bother calling you. Actually," he said, turning toward the refrigerator, "can you help me finish these beers?" He opened four bottles and handed two of them to Bob.
"Ladies?" Bob asked, but you both shook your heads.
You and Molly dropped down onto the couch together while the three boys messed around in the kitchen, talking about this theoretical Phillies room. She looked a little worried, and you didn't like the way she had been chewing on her fingernails. "What's wrong?" you asked her softly.
"Nothing," she replied immediately with a smile so fake, you were shocked she even tried it on you.
"Maybe Bob still believes that smile is genuine, but I know better. Tell me what's up."
She sighed and stretched out on your lap. "I'm so tired from work. I don't like the one douchebag doctor who works day shifts. He keeps giving me a hard time."
Your skin started to prickle. "What did he do? Did you tell Bob?"
"Yeah," she groaned, closing her eyes as you rubbed her shoulder. "I told Bob. The doctor just hates me and acts like I'm incompetent. No biggie. I know I do a good job."
It was a fight to calm your breathing down. "You actually save people's lives before the doctor even shows up in the room."
"See? You get it," she mumbled, and then she fell asleep while the guys loaded the Bronco and Bob's truck with Bradley's meager belongings.
She slept until it was time for Bradley to lock his door one last time, and then she stood to use the bathroom. You popped up and pulled Bob into the completely empty bedroom, but before you could say anything, he was talking.
"Is Molly mad at me?" he asked softly, his eyes sad and searching yours.
"Oh, Bob," you gasped, reaching for his hand. "I don't think so. But she seems a little stressed out, doesn't she?"
He shrugged helplessly. "She keeps telling me it's because of work, but... I'm afraid she's been so quiet because she's tired of me."
You gasped. "No!" you whispered in a harsh voice. "She loves you!"
But he just looked at the floor and held tight to your hand until Bradley walked in and asked, "Ready to go?" If Bradley thought it was strange that you and Bob were holding hands and that you hugged him so tight he groaned, he didn't say anything.
"You'll tell me if she says anything to you?" Bob asked quietly as you and he followed Bradley out to the living room.
"Of course," you replied. But when Molly came out of the bathroom, she went right for Bob's arms, and they both looked immediately happier. They were fine. They had to be fine.
"Mommy? Can I ride in Bob's truck?" Everett asked, and Bradley looked scandalized.
"I thought you liked the Bronco!" he said, tossing his hands in the air in exasperation.
"I do, Dad! But I wanted to see the truck, too!" You pressed your lips together as Bradley scooped Everett into his arms and kissed him.
"Okay, but you can't end up liking it as much as the Bronco, alright?" he asked, ushering everyone out of the apartment.
"I won't," Everett promised, and Bradley carried him down the stairs and out to the parking lot. Then he switched Everett's booster seat to the second row of Bob's pickup truck and helped him get buckled.
When you and he were finally alone in the Bronco, you asked, "Going for dad of the year?"
He looked smug as he kissed you and said, "I'm already Coach of the year and fiancé of the year. I'm going for broke. Plus Bob drives like an elderly person. Ev will be so bored."
You laughed as he pulled out onto the main road and headed toward your house. His house too, now. "I was thinking about... changing my last name when we get married," you told him as he changed lanes.
"Yeah?" he asked, glancing at you with eager eyes as he drove. "Really?"
You groaned. "I still have Danny's last name, so I think I'd like to change it to Bradshaw if that's okay with you."
He reached for your hand immediately. "Hell yes! It's more than okay with me, Kitten! I just didn't want you to think I'd be upset if you didn't."
You wanted to say something about Everett. You really wanted to tell him about Danny and the child support and the fact that the papers had been served. But you just couldn't. Not right now. Because he was parking a little crookedly in the driveway and reaching for you, and you were in his arms and his lips were on yours.
You were moaning with his hand up your shirt and underneath your bra when you heard Bob's truck.
"Told you he drives slow," Bradley grunted. "Could have fucked you real quick before they got here."
You burst into laughter as you climbed out of the Bronco and went to get Everett. When he bounded toward Bradley, you heard him whisper, "It was fun, but not as fun as the Bronco."
Bradley tousled his hair and said, "I knew you wouldn't let me down."
Then you and Molly sat on the porch steps with some cookies while the guys did all the work.
---------------------------
A few days later, Bradley was waiting next to Bob in their matching Navy Waves uniforms. The first game of their season was about to start, but none of their promised spectators were there yet. "Did Molly get hung up at work?" Bradley asked him, checking the time again on his phone.
Bob sighed and tipped his head back. "I don't know, Rooster." He looked miserable. "I guess. Maybe."
"Well, did you text her?"
"Yeah. She didn't respond."
Bradley paused for a moment. "Is everything okay?"
"I don't know," Bob sighed, running his hand over his mouth. But then Bradley saw you and Molly running from the parking lot with Everett leading the way.
"There they are!" Bradley said, lightly hitting Bob's arm before he headed toward Everett.
"Bradley! We got stuck in traffic!" Everett said, running into his hug. Bradley, Coach, Dad... he liked it when Everett called him any of those things.
"We were missing you," Bradley replied, kissing the top of his head as you hustled up next.
"Good luck!" you told him, kissing him softly as you were out of breath. Then Bradley realized that all three of you were wearing matching white and navy blue shirts. He looked at the back of Molly's as she headed toward Bob, and he noticed that it said Floyd along with the number 30 on it.
When he spun Everett around in his arms, he laughed. "Bradshaw shirts? I love it!" Then you turned for him as well, and he got such a lovely view of your ass in your denim shorts along with his name on your back. He'd be taking all of that clothing off you later.
"Go," you told him, turning back around and pushing him toward the dugout. "The game is about to start!"
Bradley collected Bob from Molly and dragged him down to the field for the game against the Army Rockets. Bob seemed to have perked up a bit, and after the national anthem was played, Bradley took to the pitcher's mound.
After he struck out the first three batters in a row, he stood there, shocked. "Hell yeah, Bradshaw!" the left fielder said, as they switched to offense. Bradley batted fifth, and the Navy Waves managed to score one run.
And the whole time, Bradley could hear Everett shouting for him. When he looked up into the stands, you waved to him. Every single time. He could even see the light catch your ring. "Fuck," he groaned, trying to stay focused on the game. But he was so in love with you now. He loved living at your house and using all your cool body washes in the shower. He loved the way you woke him up with kisses in the morning. He loved tucking Everett in at night. He loved making pancakes in your kitchen.
You were the best kind of distraction. As the game progressed, he kept pitching pretty well. By the last inning, The Waves were up by five runs, and even though Bradley was tired, he told the coaches he'd be able to finish the game.
When he struck out the last batter in the ninth inning, Bradley heard Everett screaming over the rest of the fans. And he made sure to collect one of the game balls to take home.
"Good game!" Bob told him, gathering up his gear as he kept glancing over his shoulder at Molly like he was afraid she was going to vanish.
"You too. Nice double play," Bradley replied, following him up into the bleachers.
"I've never felt more patriotic than I do right now," Molly said with a laugh. "A military themed baseball game. Americana at its finest."
"I don't know what you're talking about," Bradley replied with a laugh as he handed the baseball to Everertt.
Molly rolled her eyes so hard, Bradley feared for her vision. "Really, Bradley? You're the most patriotic thing here." Then she cleared her throat and puffed out her chest and tried to imitate Bradley in a deeper voice. "Hi, I'm Bradley Bradshaw. And I'm in the Navy. And my dad was in the Navy, too." Bradley couldn't contain his laughter, and neither could you and Bob as she continued. "And my mom was red, white and blue striped. And I'm so patriotic, I could only propose on Independence Day. And I'm going to rename my son Everett the Bald Eagle."
Bradley was doubled over in laughter. "You're obnoxious," he told Molly, but she just smirked at him.
"Where's the lie?" she asked, snuggled up against Bob as he laughed too.
Bradley sighed and shook his head. "I'm not going to change Everett's name. At least not to that," he mumbled, following everyone as they made their way to the parking lot. When you wrapped your arm around Bradley's waist, he groaned. "I'm so sore."
"Poor thing," you crooned. "You want a backrub when we get home?"
Home. Bradley was going to drive home. Where he lived with his family.
"Are you offering?" he asked with a grin, but all he got in response was a sassy shrug. He loaded Everett and all of his gear into the Bronco and followed your car home.
And it's not like he ever meant to take over your job of parenting your son, but Bradley absolutely loved helping with Everett's bedtime routine. So he told you to go relax while he got the bathtub ready. Bradley sat on the bathroom floor against the wall, chatting with Everett about baseball and summer camp. He let Everett ask him a million questions and promised to teach him how to keep baseball statistics.
"You should teach my mom, too," he said. "Since she's really good at math."
"We should get her a stats binder for her birthday."
"We should get her a lot more baseball stuff, because she doesn't really have any."
"Yeah," Bradley agreed. "We wouldn't want her to look ridiculous when we're all decked out in Phillies gear and she's not."
Everett started to drain the tub while Bradley handed him a towel. "Do you think she'll let us paint the extra bedroom red when we make it a Phillies room?"
Bradley winced. "I don't know, kiddo. Let me discuss that one with her."
Bradley followed him into his room and got out some pajamas, but once Everett was changed and tucked in bed, he gasped. "Dad! I left the baseball from your game in my booster seat!"
"I'll go get it," Bradley replied, heart swelling.
"Can you autograph it for me, too?"
A strange emotion took over Bradley's entire body, just like it always did in these moments. He felt like laughing and crying at the same time. "Sure, Ev."
By the time Bradley retrieved the baseball, signed it and came back upstairs, Everett was sound asleep. So he left the ball on the dresser and kissed his forehead.
And then he walked into your bedroom. Well, the one that he shared with you now. And you were sitting in the middle of the bed wearing one of his oversized tee shirts. You had removed your makeup, but you still looked beautiful as you reached for him.
"Pulled out a big win today, Coach. Let me rub your back."
"Somehow I keep winning," he muttered, quickly undressing and tossing his baseball uniform into the hamper. You coaxed him into bed, on his stomach, and Bradley groaned softly as you straddled his lower back and sat on his butt. "Feels good, Kitten."
Your soft laughter filled the room. "I didn't even do anything yet." But your lips met the back of his neck as your hands worked at his stiff right shoulder, and Bradley was melting into the soft bedding.
"Fuck," he grunted as you worked at a knot with your elbow.
"Does it hurt?" you whispered, taking a break and kissing that spot.
"No," he replied. "Keep going." But you kept going with your kisses instead of your massage. You gently grabbed his biceps and kissed along his spine and back up again until he was panting. "Kitten."
"Hmm?" you hummed against his shoulder blade. Then you licked his salty skin, and Bradley let you pin his wrists in place on either side of his head. You whispered something filthy in his ear. "You're getting me worked up, and you're not even the one doing the touching, Coach. I'm gonna need you to fuck me."
But when he tried to move, you were firm with your hands, so he stayed put, feeling the throb of his erection against the mattress. You licked along his neck and behind his ear, and Bradley had to keep from bucking for relief. He was gritting his teeth against the sensation of your mouth brushing the shell of his ear as you said, "Your back is sexy. How is your back sexy?"
"Baby, please let me fuck you," he begged before you climbed off of him and stayed on all fours. Bradley slipped himself inside you with one quick thrust that had you moaning, and he slipped his fingers around your necklace chain. Very gently, he pulled you closer to him, careful not to harm your little paw print charm. Your back was arched deliciously, and he pushed the tee shirt up to your neck and caressed your tits.
"Bradley," you whined, but he didn't go any faster. Just languid thrusts, his cock brushing every sensitive spot inside you. He watched your pretty pussy take him as he yanked a little more on your necklace. With one hand on your ass, he guided you through a slow buildup to an orgasm that had you moaning his name for a solid two minutes.
"Oh hell," he growled, spilling himself inside you, eyes closed and head tipped back. He released your necklace, and let you collapse onto your belly. You squealed as he pressed himself on top of you and kissed your upper back. "You're sexy here too, Kitten."
You giggled as he ended up giving you a back massage instead. "Ugh...your hands are so big."
"I pitched a full game, and I only got a two minute massage," he complained.
"Your fault for getting a boner," you replied, clearly enjoying the way he was touching you.
Eventually Bradley took a shower and pulled on some clean underwear. You were nearly asleep when he climbed into bed, but you said, "I've been thinking about our wedding."
"Go on," he replied, kissing your scrunched up nose. "I'd love to hear more."
You yawned and whispered, "I think you'll like my idea." And then you told Bradley what you wanted to do. And then you said you wanted to do it in the next month or two. And he had you on your back, smothering your face in kisses while you giggled.
"Wait," he said, pausing his kisses to look at you. "Is that even possible? Can we actually do that?"
You nodded. "I think so. If you know the right people. You wanna do it?"
"Yes, Baby. One hundred percent."
--------------------------
Thunderstorms had rolled in overnight, and you woke up to find Everett in your bed with you and Bradley. It had been quite a while since a storm had sent him into your room, but this one was particularly loud. Everett was curled up in the middle of the bed with Bradley's arm wrapped around him and his head on Bradley's shoulder. They were both sound asleep.
You gasped at how sweet they looked and grabbed your phone to take a picture. And then you checked under the covers to make sure Bradley was wearing underwear. Okay, great. You'd have to remind him to keep doing that.
As you swiped through a bunch of texts from Molly, you cringed. She had sent them at three in the morning. She wasn't getting enough sleep, trying to transition from overnights to daytime shifts. You knew she needed to take better care of herself. "Oh, Molly," you sighed, climbing out of bed, leaving the boys to sleep a little longer.
Bob and I are going to that Navy bar tonight. You and my future turd-in-law wanna come?
You snorted as you turned on the coffee maker. Maybe Everett could hang out with Maverick tonight? You'd have to see if that would work. You also needed to make a ton of phone calls at work today. When Bradley and Everett never surfaced, you had to go back upstairs and wake them up for work and summer camp respectively. And then you had to listen to them both bug you about turning the extra bedroom into a Phillies room.
You just shook your head until they were both starting to whine. "I don't care!" you finally said with a laugh. "Do what you want, but you need to keep the spare bed in there."
Then they rushed out to the Bronco together with just enough time for Bradley to drop Everett off and still make it to North Island on time. You were being outnumbered. You were being overruled. They were teaming up against you. But honestly, you didn't even mind. They could have a Phillies room. Because now that Bradley was living with you, your life already felt less hectic. You felt like you could breathe with the way he did things like take control of bedtime and breakfasts.
You practically floated into work. You even waved to Frank, with your left hand so hopefully he'd see your ring. Then you got settled at your desk and made a few phone calls. And it turns out, you can have the wedding you want if you just drop the right names. And it was a good thing you saved Jake Seresin's number in your phone.
While you were desperately trying to finish up one of your projects that was precariously close to becoming overdue, Molly started texting you again.
ARE YOU GOING TO ANSWER ME?! Bar tonight?
"Chill," you whispered, texting Bradley instead to try to find out if Ev could play with Maverick for a little bit at his hangar. When you left work that afternoon with the reassurance that Bradley would take Everett to hang out with Mav, you went home to get ready to go to the bar.
It was amazing how you had the time to do your makeup and hair. You even tried on several outfits before settling on your black bodysuit and some denim shorts with sandals. Bradley was definitely going to like this. You just had to make sure he enjoyed it later and not right now, because you could hear his key in the door as you ran down the stairs.
"I told Molly we'd meet them at the bar in twenty minutes. There's a plate of leftovers in the fridge for you. And I planned our wedding."
Bradley was in his flight suit, frozen just inside the front door with his keys hanging from his hand. "You planned our wedding? And you're wearing your kitten bodysuit?" he asked with a small smile.
"Mmhmm," you hummed, kissing his cheek and unzipping his flight suit as you pulled him toward the kitchen. "We have a wedding date."
His smile grew. "You gonna tell me when that might be, Kitten?"
"September third."
"Sounds perfect. And you gonna let me play with you and your kitten costume?"
You bit your lip. "You're really just going to be okay with getting married in a few weeks?"
"Of course," he rasped, kissing your neck. "I'm ready."
"Okay, Coach. And if you're really good, I'll put on my ears and whiskers after we get home later. Now eat your dinner."
---------------------------
Bradley had seen you drink before. But he had never seen you drunk before. It was highly entertaining. You and Molly were truly a sight to behold, both wearing skin tight tops and giggling. Even Bob looked like he was enjoying himself more than he had the past couple days as Molly clung to his side and kept tucking her hand up the hem of his shirt.
"Those sailors keep buying me drinks," you whispered so loudly, Bradley had to laugh. Sure enough, there were some guys at the bar who were buying drinks for all the women, hoping one of them would stick. "I've had like four whiskey sours," you said, holding up three fingers.
"You're so fucking good at math, Kitten," he replied, placing a kiss on the swell of your breast as you wrapped your arms around his neck.
When you giggled next to his ear, Bradley briefly considered taking you to the bathroom for a quickie. But to his dismay, he saw that Molly and Bob seemed to be on their way back there already.
"Well scratch that idea," Bradley murmured as you tangled your fingers in his hair.
"Rooster! Come play pool!" Nat called, and you started to push him toward the pool table.
"Go play with your friends," you insisted. "I'm going to get another drink and then look for Molly."
"Yeah, I wouldn't do that just yet," Bradley said with a grimace that he was sure just went right over your head. "And don't flirt with too many sailors, Kitten."
"I'm not, Coach," you insisted, patting his abs through his shirt. "But they are just so friendly. They won't let me pay for anything."
Bradley shook his head as you weaved your way back to the bar. He kept an eye on you as Penny served you another whiskey sour, and then he saw Molly and Bob stumbling back as he took a shot at the pool table. Bob's cheeks were flushed, and his hair and glasses were a mess. Bradley had never seen him look happier. Molly kissed Bob and then made a beeline for you, and Bob definitely wasn't the only one watching her walk away.
Bradley was laughing as Bob made his way to the pool table. "They're okay over there with those guys, right?" Bob asked, jerking his finger over his shoulder.
"You afraid Molly's going to ditch you or something?"
"I mean..." he started, adjusting his glasses and fixing his hair. "I didn't give her a ring yet. You're a step ahead of me. So honestly, I'm always a little afraid something like that's gonna happen."
"Bob. Get real, man," Bradley said, chuckling as he watched Nat obliterate him at pool. "She just rocked your world in the bathroom."
He stuttered for quite a while before he managed to say, "Yeah, but look at her. She's gorgeous."
"Give it up, Bob. You're stuck with her now."
"Hi," you said, wrapping your arms around Bradley's waist from behind. You managed to make that one word sound like it had about seven syllables while you laughed.
"You having fun?" he asked. "Not getting into trouble?"
You were swaying on your feet and laughing. Even Molly wasn't this bad, nursing her glass of wine and whispering something to Bob that was making him blush again.
"I'm being so good," you promised. "Jake bought me a drink."
"Of course he did," Bradley replied when Jake handed you a beer. "I'm going to have to keep a close eye on you whenever I bring you here. And you might not be allowed to wear this next time." He ran his knuckles along your bodysuit that fit you like a second skin, and you sighed. "The sailors can look, and they can spend their money on you, but they can't touch my Kitten."
"That feels good," you gasped, and Bradley kissed your nose.
"You'll feel even better when I get you home later."
You handed your beer to Bradley and sunk your fingers into his hair, leaving him standing awkwardly with the bottle in one hand and his pool cue in the other.
"I wish you were Ev's dad," you whispered against his lips.
He set the cue against a stool and wrapped his arm around you. "Me too, Kitten." Truly, he would love that. But he didn't need it. He already had the two of you which was more than enough. More family than he ever thought he'd get.
"You'd never force my hand like Danny is," you added softly, looking up at him with unfocused eyes and a soft smile. "Never."
He could feel the goosebumps on his arms as he asked, "What do you mean, Baby?"
"You know," you sighed, rubbing yourself against him. "I'm paying for a lawyer, and what good is it going to do? I can't get Danny's name off Everett's birth certificate. I can't get full custody and parental rights. I can't have anything except child support, which I don't even want, because he's going to be a complete jerk and contest it until I'm ready to scream. And I'll have wasted
thousands of dollars on nothing when we could have taken a vacation or something."
Bradley was stunned. This was way more information than you'd given him about what was going on. "Kitten, if you want to go on vacation, I'll take you and Ev anywhere you want to go. Or I can pay for your lawyer."
"You sound just like Molly!" you complained, booping him on the nose and squishing his lips together.
Bradley tried not to laugh as Molly looked up from kissing Bob. "Did you call me?" she asked, and you started laughing hysterically.
Bradley checked the time and shook his head. As the designated driver, he should probably round the three of you up and get everyone home and pick up Everett on the way. But now you and Molly were both over by the jukebox, dancing with Bob to whatever song was playing, and Bradley just didn't have the heart to break it up yet.
But thirty minutes later, he was carrying you out to the parking lot while Bob and Molly stumbled along as well. And now he was mentally planning a family vacation. Maybe to the mountains over Everett's winter break? Disney World in the spring? He didn't know what the two of you would want to do, but he'd make it happen. Hell, he could even take you and Everett up to Los Angeles for a weekend. Whatever it ended up being, it would be perfect.
And Bradley would let you know when you were sober that you were by no means finished with the conversation about Danny.

Falling in Love
Type- One-Shoty Blurb
Verse- Singer!Harry x Ceo!Y/n
Word Count- 1.3k
Warnings- Just sweet, sweet fluff and a very light description of the anxiety that comes with falling in love.
A/N- This one, y'all, is a special one.
This fic celebrates more than one occasion. I published my first ever fic on this site on July 20, 2021. And this is also a goodbye to The Love On Tour which ends today, July 22. I chose (Singer!Harry x Ceo!Y/n) for this, because it is the first universe I ever created, and Harry is a singer in this au, so that kind of fit as well. Also, you people never failed to show your favouritism when it came to any fic I posted in this 'verse -- I love you, and thank you so much for that. I'll be honest, this isn't the original the fic I wanted to post today, but I had to because somehow, I wasn't able to finish it in time. Maybe by the next weekend I'll have it finished, don't mark my words on that though.
So, I really hope you enjoy this fic, which depicts a scene from (Singer!Harry x Ceo!Y/n)'s early stages of relationship, when they'd just started falling in love.
I love you and thank you, a LOT ;) -A.
A little out of breadth Y/n climbed in her car, immediately turning on the AC on full. It was a melting hot day in New York, and she couldn't be more frustrated.
Sitting in the car, she switched on her mobile data for her playlist to start singing. But just as she hit play, a text from Harry popped up on her screen, a smile stretching out on her mouth just in time. She scrolled down her notification bar to see what it was, and it made her sad, the fact that she couldn't smile any wider.
Obviously, he was trying to make her insides churn -- why else would he ask her: 'would you like some croissant, mon chouchou?' Her nose scrunched up as she let her head hit the headrest of the seat, trying to swallow down her screech of giddiness.
With fists clenched tight because there was no other way she could express her ecstasy right now, she allowed herself to open her hand and loosen-up her jaw. 'I'd very much love some! Where are you right now?' She texted back, hoping she could pick him up.
Driving out and straight onto the main lane, she stopped about mid-way through, the street packed with cars and bikes.
Y/n looked up once again, to make sure the traffic light really was red, and right as she was about to look back down, they turned green -- and this is the first time she's been mad about that. Tossing her phone on the passenger seat as she turned her car on the left, she hoped that Harry would reply before she reached the U-Cut.
And while her full attention was on the road, she couldn't help but look at her phone screen from the corner of her eyes. Should she just call him? She slowed down her speed, waiting and waiting and immediately stopping on the side of the lane when he finally texted back: 'Cornelia Street, why?'
Her whole face scrunched up in confusion, as she quickly typed: 'what the hell?' She hit send too quickly, but still kept on typing. 'it's like an hour away! how are you gonna make it? the metro-station will shut down soon!' She texted him again, starting her car again to start driving.
The quicker she reached him, the better. She just hoped that she wouldn't have to stop at a red light again.
'I dunno... maybe get an Uber?' Her screen lit up with his text. 'Anyways, which one do you want?' He texted again, this time attaching 2 photos.
Y/n lightly shook her head, not able to believe that she's going to be driving for an hour to pick up this weird man she seems to have developed a huge crush on, when all she wanted to do leaving the office was to pass out on the lovely forest green sofa in her living room. And she only gets more confused when she sees her phone light up from the corner of her eyes again.
'Pick up whichever one you're eating, H' she sent him a voice message, not careless enough to text him that while driving at this speed. But just as she turns on the next road, a groan rumbles from the back of her throat when she sees another traffic-jam. It sure isn't as hideous as the previous one, but it's making her late, nevertheless.
Rien Que Toi et Moi started playing on low volume in the car as she picked her phone again, going straight to the text Harry had sent her.
'okay, you're clearly too busy to type 'gruyere croissant'. So, I will buy it for you even though I'm taking a chocolate one' was the first text, and the next one made her grin quite wide in slight embarassment. It said, 'Cause someone needs to be sweet to keep your salty ass sane'
'Don't get all grumpy with me now, we both know you can't live for even a day without salt' she texted back, chuckling already. 'And don't book any taxi, I'm on my way to pick you up!' She wrote again, now suddenly embarrassed.
This time, she threw her phone on the seat for once and for all, determined to stop only when she's on Cornelia Steet.
And as she drove, her mind was still on Harry. It hadn't escaped her, the fact that he remembered her favourite croissant, and knew she wanted that one only, even when she didn't say so. She knows that he too knows he'll be eating half of hers and then offer her a half of his'. Staying with her, he'd grown to like a lot of her favourites.
But what he's surely got to notice, is that a lot of his favourites, are now Y/n's as well. It's more than often that she's caught doing things that he loves to do, learning about things that he always talks to her about. And she remembered something flashing in his eyes when she told him that she's only doing it so that she can chat a little more about it with him.
Driving with her window rolled down, Y/n slowly and slowly felt herself calming down and little by little, falling for Harry -- with his little quirks and habits that make him who he is. But still there was a slight tightness in the midst of her chest that frightened her, a little alarm that always went off blaring every time her eyes landed on Harry, screaming at her to turn around, that she still had time, and her heartrate would go impossibly high.
But she knew, she had nothing to lose. The most that could happen was that he'd break her heart and people will stop murmuring about how she's got some colour in her face and a small smile on her mouth every time she walked by. And the gossips about her being cold-hearted would return. She didn't have anything more to lose and for some weird reason whenever she saw Harry, something inside her, maybe her heart, pointed at him and whispered without a pause in her ears, 'that's the one, that's the one.'
It's when she passes the board-sign with 'Cornelia Street' written across it that she parks on the side of the lane again. Picking up her phone, she texts Harry 'I'm in front of the 'Books and Lattes' cafe. Where are you?'
And it was like Harry was already on his phone because he responded right away. 'Should be visible on the first zebra-crossing you stop at!' his text said, and all of a sudden, a hint of giddiness bubbled inside her at the realization that finally she'll be seeing him.
And Y/n did see him, just as she slowed down as she neared the crossing. She looked to her left fist, out the passenger side window and in a split second her eyes found the pair of forest-green eyes that she longed to take a walk in all the damn time.
His Cheshire-cat grin so charming, it felt as though he had aimed it straight at heart, as he walked towards her. And just to poke fun at him, she didn't unlock the door -- rolling down the window instead. He waved at her with a dimpled smile, just a few steps away and as he went to open the door, "hey there, beau" she teased.
Harry rested his elbows on the sill, looking at her with a mockingly intense gaze. "Lose your croissant or unlock the door," he said quickly and laughed at her groan as he went to sit beside her. "I'm hurt that you'd choose a croissant over me!"
"I'm surprised that you're surprised," Y/n said, while backing up just a bit to turn into the other lane.
She heard him sigh and then saw him dramatically rub his forehead. "Disappointed, but not surprised," he said.
"Oh, c'mon darling-"
"I'm not your darling when 'm pissed at you!"
Letting out an amused laugh, she intertwined their hands in the heat of the moment, and that same old alarm went off blaring. "Now look who's being salty," she stated as a matter of fact, shaking her head when Harry muttered, 'you're never going to let that go, are you?'
And somewhere on the inside, a little voice in her head mumbled, "uh oh, I'm falling in love."

When the World Went to Shit (Chapter 1)
Joel Miller x FEM! Reader
A/N: this is a SPOILER WARNING, this contains spoliers from the first episode (and more to come). Also I did NOT bother editing, so if there are a few mistakes my bad.
WARNINGS: Canon level of violence, swears, reader is ready to fight a goddamn child, Joel is sad, talks of grief, PTSD, brief mentions of gore, Eventual Smut, pining (on both ends), grumpy idiots in love, reader is in her late 30's to early to mid 40's.
Summary: 20 years later after the world went to shit you, Joel, and Tess have to take 14 year old Ellie to the Firefly base outside of Boston QZ. What was supposed to be a simple plan turned into something much more complicated.
**************************************************
You were visiting your family and friends in Texas when everything went to shit. One minute you were on your way to a movie with your mom and the next you were driving frantically to Travis County with your mom, and your old friend Tommy (who you hadn’t seen in years) and his brother Joel and Joel’s daughter Sarah. Your car had overturned at some point, your mother and Tommy on one side and you, Joel, and Sarah on the other. You had agreed to meet at the lake, you tried to ignore the fires and screams of people around you and focused on surviving. But the pleas of help and the inhuman clicking etched itself into your brain, you could transport yourself there if you closed your eyes long enough. You could feel the heat from the various fires as you passed them, the metallic stench of blood permeating the air and turning your stomach sour, you could feel the burning in your lungs as you ran from the infected person as it chased you animalistically. You could still feel the hope you had as you looked at the soldier crumble as he fired at you and the sharp stab of grief that almost consumed you as you watched Joel mourn Sarah and as Tommy told you that your mother didn’t make it.
You took in a sharp breath when you woke up, the morning light burnt your eyes until you closed them again. Your back ached from the outdated springs on the old bed. You felt like you had been run over by a bus quite honestly, and despite what you had assumed to be a decent amount of rest, there was a tiredness deep in your bones that had settled there for the past 20 years. Begrudgingly you sat up, a low groan escaping you as you stretched, your bones popping and cracking throughout your body like some sick symphony.
You slowly open your eyes as they adjust to the dull brightness that day provided and look around the unit that the Boston QZ provided you and your roommate Tess, though you guess she’s more like a ghost nowadays since she spent most nights with Joel.
Joel.
You, Joel, and Tommy arrived at the Boston QZ together, during what you would easily call the worst few years of your life. During which time both you and Joel bonded over your loss. With every year you got better at handling your loss, and started to move on. You were a nurse before everything had ended, so you helped out where you could medically and on the side you accepted some other jobs. You helped smuggle a few things here and there, even sent some reliable customers Joel and Tess’s way. You used to just shoot the shit with Tommy, talking about what the world was like before it ended. But that was before he went ahead and joined those goddamn Firefly’s. When you found out you were so mad you could’ve screamed and hit him, but you left that to Joel instead. You admired the way Tommy still held onto hope, despite all that he’s seen and went through, but joining the Firefly’s was going against FEDRA, and going against FEDRA never went well.
You were so lost in thought that it wasn’t until you heard a silent ‘shit’ coming from the kitchen and the sound of glass shattering across the floor that you realized you weren’t alone. Instinctively you reached for your gun, You were often alone in the unit and just because the world went to shit didn’t mean things didn’t happen. It wouldn’t be the first time you’ve had to defend yourself in your unit. You walked silently as you walked toward the kitchenette, gun raised and your thumb hovering over the safety. It wasn’t until you saw the familiar long light brown hair that you lowered your gun.
“Fuck Tess,” You cussed as you took a deep breathe attempting to calm the nerves you had gotten, “I thought you were-what the fuck happened to you?” You asked as she turned around, one half of her face was swollen and littered with scars, her clothes had droplets of dried blood dotted across. Not enough to notice from afar, but up close you could spot a large droplet or two. You rushed over to her where you motioned her to sit on the rickety chair next to the table. The floorboards creaked as you walked over to the floorboards in front of your radio. Uncovering it to reveal one dusty bottle of rum and a first aid kit filled with things you had snuck out of the clinic over the years. Tess was silent as you set the first aid kit and the rum on the table before grabbing two mismatching glasses filling up both, before passing one to her. She downed hers as you poured yourself one and dabbed a bit on a piece of clean cloth.
You dabbed the cloth onto her cuts and bruises before applying just the smallest amount of antibacterial onto your fingers and just dabbing it on the deeper cuts. Once you had put the antibacterial back in the first aid and the cloth was set aside, you downed the rest of whatever you had poured on your glass.
“So,” you broke the silence, “gonna tell me what happened or am I going to have to ask Joel?” You see Tess take a deep breath before sighing, pouring herself another glass and taking a swig of it before responding.
“It was Robert,” She revealed, “I found out he was going to fuck us over with the car battery,” your nails dug into the palms of your hands. You never did like Robert, based on his personality you assumed no one else did either, “So I got jumped by a few of the teenagers in his rank and next thing you know I’m tied to a goddamn chair and he’s pacing around paranoid about Joel.”
“I would too,” you interjected, Joel had become increasingly violent over the years, earning himself a fearsome reputation. And while you would never admit it, you were both scared and intrigued about what his rage could do. What he was willing to do while in that state. You took another sip of the rum, hoping the liquor would hide that particular thought away. Forcing it down with the rest of your more complex emotions.
“Yeah, well if it weren’t for the Firefly’s I would probably either still be in that chair or dead by now. They blasted through the damned wall and a full blown shootout ensued. I tried to leave but FEDRA caught me, thinking I was Firefly. When they let me go after some intense interrogation I came here and you wanna know what really just fucks me off,” You nodded, “Robert fucking weasled his way out, fucking scot free.”
“FEDRA didn’t catch Robert, but they caught you?” You asked, when she nodded you rolled your eyes in annoyance. Of course FEDRA would focus more on capturing a (at the time) defenseless woman and feeding their ego by reinforcing their superiority before actually capturing someone guilty of something. You finish off your glass before setting it back down on the table.
“Well,” you started, “did they hurt you anywhere else? Any cuts or bruises that need tending to before I put this shit away?”
“Are you asking for a strip tease Doc?” Tess teased as she sent you a wink, you rolled your eyes before closing your kit and the bottle to the rum before grabbing it.
“You wish, Detroit.” You winked back as you placed the kit and bottle back to its place beneath the floorboard next to the radio. You looked at it for a second, thinking briefly that you hadn’t heard from Bill and Frank a while and hoped that they were doing fine. Maybe you would stay longer than you did last time, Bill was getting older and Frank’s condition was worsening. They could use the extra help, but you were sure Bill would refuse, just like last time.
You turned back to Tess who was still sitting at the kitchen table.
“Tess,” You put one hand on your hip as you leaned against the wall, “we’ve got to tell Joel.”
“I know,” She sighed, “he’s not going to like it.”
“He’s most likely going to fly off the handle, yes.” you agree, “but still, Robert’s not going to get away with holding you captive and fucking you two over.” You grab your shoes, pull them on and lacing them before making your way to the front door. You opened the door for Tess and locked the door behind you.
///////////
“Joel.”
“Yeah.”
“Who the fuck is this?” you ask, motioning towards the petite 14 year old brunette staring out the
window. After informing Joel on what happened you left for your shift in the clinic, after the shift ended and you saw the sun was about to set, you rushed home to grab your first aid kit and stuffed it discreetly in your bag and made your way back to Joel’s where you were sure him and Tess would be there ready to be patched up. Instead what you found was Joel lying on the couch and an unfamiliar girl staring out the window with a far off look in her dark eyes.
“The Queen of England,” The girl sarcastically replied, “and who are you, off brand GI Jane?”
“Can you even point to England on a map, aren't you like five?”
“I’m 14”
“Tell that to your height.”
“Alright,” Joel groaned, getting up from the coach rubbing his eyes slightly before getting up fully, “enough.” you kept eye contact with the girl as Joel makes his way to you, a calloused hand on your shoulder. “At ease Doc, this is Ellie, we’re taking her to the Firefly base outside of the QZ.” You missed the warmth of his hand as soon as it was removed.
“By us do you mean-”
“We’re going to need you Doc,” Joel said gruffly, almost like he didn’t want to say it, “if we give Ellie to them with so much as a scratch on her the deal's off.” You walked over to where he was by the sink, leaning close to talk quietly.
“What deal?” You asked, eyes searching his dark ones, they shone with a tiredness you’re sure yours portrayed as well.
“We take her there, and they give us what we need.”
“A car battery.”
“And weapons,” Joel added, you had to admit weapons and a car battery that worked sounded nice. But
you looked over to where Ellie sat, fiddling with the book in her lap.
“Why?” you asked, eyes still trained on her, not seeing how his eyes lingered on you for longer than they should, “Why go through all this trouble? Who is she?”
“I’m thinking she’s some higher ups daughter,” he explained, “they didn’t give us a clear answer on that.” Despite your suspicions you decided to leave it for now. You continued to watch her for a second. It was strange to think that Ellie and kids her age would never know what the world was. Sometimes you liked to wonder what kids her age would’ve been like had this life not been forced upon them. But you would shake those thoughts away, it was useless wondering what could’ve been when you needed to survive.
You walked over to her, sitting cautiously beside her.
“So,” you started, “You’re Ellie.”
“Yeah,” she responded, looking at you cautiously. You couldn’t blame her, so young and affiliated with the Firefly’s already, You don’t know what kind of people she’s been exposed to.
“It’s a cool name,” you said, extending a hand, “people call me Doc.” Warily she accepts it.
“Like Doctor?” Ellie asks.
“Yeah.”
“Are you a doctor?”
“Closest thing to one at the moment,” you said removing her hand from your own, you see her tugging at her sleeve but pay it no mind.
Tess entered not long after, it was time. And so far everything had gone smoothly, well, as smoothly as it possibly could be with Ellie being distracted over the outside world a few times, almost getting caught in the process. Until you eventually got caught. Even through the blur of the flashlight you could feel Joel tense, you wanted to reach out to him and calm him down. For a minute though before the soldier had you on your knees with your hands behind your head, you were sure he was going to let you go. He was testing you all, ‘doing this by the book’, he said. The uncomfortable tingling of the handheld device was over nearly as it began, you were clean.
Then came Ellie.
As soon as he touched her neck she stabbed him with a knife you didn’t notice she had before. That’s when all hell broke loose, you don’t know what did it for Joel, if it was the flashlight or the fact that this officer was going to shoot a little girl, but you saw Joel break. Without caring about getting shot he disarmed the soldier, but he didn’t stop there. You’ve seen him get violent a few occasions before, but this, this was something he was holding back. He kept pounding on him, blood decorating the stones, he would’ve kept going had you not pulled him off of him. You held onto Joel, riding out this PTSD driven rage, coaching his breathing. Until finally he ceased, you let go and distanced yourself from him before seeing Tess. The handheld device in her hand as her eyes widened.
“GUYS!” She shouts, showing the screen on the device, a bright shining red.
Fuck

Album Reviews #78 - World Coming Down by Type O Negative
People always comment about how this album was a lot more serious and bleak than the previous ones, so I was wary about it. I mean, it is bolded on RYM, so I wasn't THAT wary, but still. I think that October Rust is a masterpiece in the execution of its emotions, and I called it the album that managed to turn cynicism into romanticism back again. "I might be a sarcastic motherfucker, but to be honest, I love you with all my fucking heart, even if I'm a fucking clown." That's the kind of feeling I get from October Rust.
Now, it is true, World Coming Down takes away most of the humor elements of the lyrics and also part of the music. It is true that the emotional palette in this album is not as expansive or has as many layers as October Rust has. However, this is still a good album. I feel that Type O Negative doesn't fit as most Doom Metal bands. While it is true that they take most of their sound from Black Sabbath, they do not have that affinity for the macabre or that heart for the satanic. Peter Steele is mostly a romantic with incel problems, and the sound of the band is focused more on pop ballads and Alternative Metal than any other Doom Metal band. Any religious connotations are made in a tongue-in-cheek fashion, or they focus on feelings of sadness and sex rather than horror. This is a Gothic Metal band that can appeal to the most mainstream crowd, not subversive pyros against the church.
Without most of the humor, the band gets the closest to Black Sabbath than ever before. The music is not as multifaceted or surreal as before. The songs can also feel very on the nose—the pipe organs, the chants—they make you feel like, "Fine, fine, I get it, you are gothic." Because when the songs are more serious rather than tongue-in-cheek, it makes you feel more self-conscious. So because of that, I feel that the music is inferior to the one before. Yes, people called them clowns and this album more serious, but I just can't help but feel how the chimeric and prismatic nature of October Rust is an incredible love letter to life and romance in itself. I am not blaming Peter for exploring more serious themes this time, I just feel that this collection of songs feels more naked and transparent in their purpose.
With all that said, this is still a fantastic album. The slow riffs are as powerful as ever. The melodic sensibilities, while presenting 60% of the pie for what, to me, Type O Negative is about, are still fantastic. The songs are incredible—they are the kind of songs that could make you feel like walking up a mountain in a death march for your sins. Before you ask, yes, I have done walked up Monserrate twice already with this baby, with no shoes. There are lots of moments of sardonic bitterness which complement the hole in your heart. While October Rust was 20% sadness, 20% sarcasm, 20% romance, 20% hope, 20% apathy, World Coming Down is a bit of 60% sadness and 40% sarcasm caused by bitter resignation. It is not quite the colorful package, but this being a very slow heavy metal band, it sometimes reaches those points of being almost Slow Motion Power Metal—a blend I always wanted to listen to, and only two other songs (Earth Day by Devin Townsend and You Can't Keep a Man Down by Oceansize) have managed to show me.
While most songs here are practically perfect, there are some weak moments too, like Pyretta Blaze, which has a chorus that, to me, sounds as sincere as a plastic rose and as fulfilling as a wet fart. The more Type O Negative gets closer to The Beatles, the worse their music gets.
The medley cover is also a head-scratcher to me. Are you telling me that the guy who said that rock that didn't upset you isn't really Rock was a fan of The Beatles? The most common denominator, inoffensive rock band on the planet? It might have been a way to make the metalheads mad and subvert the idea he was just a macho man or a jock, I don't know. Besides, making your label pay 75k bucks for a song sounds like a story you could tell afterwards. The joke wouldn't be worth it for me, but well, I have been told he genuinely enjoyed the music and he even noodled their riffs at concerts. So, well, let's just leave it at that.
While Pyretta Blaze and Day Tripper aren't particularly fulfilling for me, we are in luck because there are three songs from these sessions that aren't included in the album but still saw the light in The Least Worst Of. First is 12 Black Rainbows. It is alright, just one of the most straightforward songs emotionally that feels more like a simple Black Sabbath song but more upbeat and pop, kinda fun. The other two, damn, let me tell you, damn. It's Never Enough is a fantastic whirlwind of religious connotations that spirals between anger and a feeling of expiation. It reminds me a bit of the closer songs of Demanufacture. And finally, Stay Out of My Dreams, a hell of a closer that goes in full speed and with a maniacal laugh in its face. While the closer of October Rust felt like Peter taking you by the hand and swearing you loyalty beyond the end of space and time after the dream, this song feels also like the end of the dream. But he is not staying with you; he is running away and leaving you deep down in a pit of despair he pushed you toward through the whole album! It is absolutely fantastic, I tell you.
Overall, yes, the music is a bit more on the nose, a little less emotionally kaleidoscopic, but it feels as harrowing as ever, fun as ever, anthemic as ever, and big and melodramatic as ever. This is yet another album of Slow Motion Pop Metal perfection in the hands of a disillusioned, a bit of a loser soul. If you are both of these, just like me, just like that absolute moron of Peter, you will probably find a lot to love in this album. I think that you have the right to cry both the pains you cause yourself as a fool and the pains the world brings on you. I think Kenny sings more in this album and I don't like that because his register is different to mine so it is harder to sing his parts lmao, but when Peter is on, you bet your ass I used my deep male voice, and sang with all my lungs. What a blast.
Custom Tracklist: 1. Skip It 2. White Slavery 3. Sinus 4. Everyone I Love Is Dead 5. Creepy Green Light 6. 12 Black Rainbows 7. Who Will Save the Sane? 8. Liver 9. World Coming Down 10. Everything Dies 11. Lung 12. All Hallows Eve 13. It's Never Enough 14. Stay Out of My Dreams Running Time: 1h 21m.

why have i been thinking about him again so much these last couple days? Why is he making me sad again? it'd be 6 months on the 18th. I gotta give up, move on. I mean, I have been moving on regardless. But i haven't been able to leave him behind. I keep taking him with me as I make my progress.
I know I fucked up. But so did he. it's so hard, so fucking hard. I've dealt with lots of loss before. I actually let myself *feel* this loss, though. I needed to. I needed to so I could grow, not make the same mistakes and cause the same hurt (for myself and others) next time.
I want to be silly again. In the same way he made me silly. I haven't quite gotten that back yet. I almost feel like, because we aren't friends anymore, I don't deserve that back. And that hurts. deeply. Because I don't truly believe I don't deserve it, but it's still not back.
Fuck, man, I wish you left me some avenue to actually reach you. I get you were mad but you burnt all the bridges. I really wanted you to have someone to blame for this so you wouldn't turn on yourself again, but I was fucking manic and I overshot. Like normal. fucked myself up the ass and came out of thar stupor without one of my closest friends. Did I deserve it? I don't know.
He probably thinks I did. I don't think he thinks of me anymore. why am I wasting my sadness?
It's just so confusing. No direction. Moving forward regardless.
One must remember Sisyphus happy. Whenever I start thinking about him, that line pops into my head. I hope he's happy. I hope his kid is born healthy. I hope he thinks fondly of me sometimes. I hope he doesn't hate me, or has forgotten about me. I hope he knows I'm doing ok, despite everything. Because I am. Or i'm trying to.
But I'm still sad. Still holding on to a dwindling hope that'll hear from him again. I'm trying to direct that energy towards meeting new people, but my motivation isn't quite there.
I'm just sad. Fucking sad.
#sorry i just took a clonazepam and needed to get this out#i do know. truly. that i won't hear from him again.#but i convince myself that imagining him reaching out‚ how that'll happen and how it'll happen‚ brings me comfort#i don't think it does#i think it just became a baf habit i can't shake#i'm scared of leaving him behind

I've noticed the game of go update post on Tumblr not long after it came out, put a pin on it in my brain to read it when I got the opportunity... only to find I can't see any of it anymore because I don't have an account :( (I'm not a writer, only a reader, and I feel bad about taking up space on the charity-run servers when I provide nothing of value.)
If you only want registered people to see it, you do you, I ain't here to convince you otherwise, I'm just saying maybe the lowered accessibility is at least part of the reason behind less engagement? You've lost me at least, much to my own chagrin, so :(
(... Please excuse the anon message, I'm a shy bastard, another reason I don't have an ao3, tho I'm trying to get a bit better by commenting on there as a guest)
That would make sense, thank you Anon. I've just been going through a lot in my personal life so when I finally mustered enough energy to finish writing (an actual monumental task recently, I'm trying to find a doctor because it's gotten so bad) the chapter and posting it only to be met by near silence I did have a few "what's the point?" Moments. Because I can always write for myself alone and just keep it on my computer, that's a lot less fun than sharing it on average... But I also don't have energy enough to cook for myself 95 percent of the time anymore (even pasta or setting up rice in my rice cooker can be too much sometimes) let alone go out and do things or write or anything at all other than sleeping so... Idk
And I've also been struggling a lot with feeling lonely, I moved completely across the country and while as a general rule of thumb I am doing better in that I don't have to deal with a dead end job or my parents, it's been hard making new friends... And it's been harder realizing that yes, I do actually care a lot more about 99% of my irl than they do about me, and kind of just confirming those fears and that if I didn't message them first they really never would reach out again... And in some cases still don't.... Even on holidays.... (One of my 'best' friends told me that if I expected him to respond that he would just grow to resent me and tbh I've kind of felt like even worse shit since then. Also realizing that essentially none of the irl friends I had come to know and love have of their own volition asked me how I'm settling in or what have you (even if I ask how they're doing...)) so I guess I was hoping that posting it would make me feel better? It didn't... And I understand that putting my works as only being viewable by users does put a small access barrier up
But there have been a lot of bad actors popping up more and more frequently. Whether they're bots who send upsetting things or people scraping works for ai, or straight up stealing them to post on other sites to take credit and/or sell.... It's been a nightmare landscape for the creative community and I know I'm not alone
Idk ..
Sorry for venting anon... I originally wanted to be inspirational about not being afraid to take up space and I ended up thinking about why I've been off and getting very sad.... But I can tell you I did meet an amazing friend by commenting on a fic and we still talk a decent amount like 3 years later. Probably the most consistently?
So uhhhh??? Sorry I woke up early and it's still very dark out and I'm mad because I could still be sleeping and if I'm gonna wake up early the least the universe could do was make it light out lol
I guess???
#dalish mail#sorry again for venting anon#I'm at a weird point in my life and I'm not handling it well i think#but also health issues on top of that#i wanted to take a walk this morning which is why i got up early#but it's still dark on top of being rainy so i don't think that's happening

Thursday, March 7: nothing calendared. probably just worked from home. helena from work kind of spoke harshly from me and it was all i could do not cry until the moment we hung up. Friday, March 8: i thought this was my massage/lunch day with lana, but i guess it was actually for two weeks from today? or it was pushed out? probably i mis-calendared it. but i did check on grace y since she had an appointment regarding some health issues. Saturday, March 9: i though i had lana's birthday dinner thing but that was miscalendared as well so instead went on a little nature walk/hike near jpl with my mom and had lunch at fish king afterward. Sunday, March 10: lana's birthday, so i texted a bit. i think i went to church. Monday, March 11: i think i started to feel a little sad. either the day prior or today i went to my mom's for lunch/dinner and just cried. i could feel myself being irrationally sad and angry and realized it was PMS so tried not to take it too personally. in part of my sadness i reached out to amir about happy hour on tuesday but he didn't really get back to me or share in my enthusiasm and just "liked" my comment and i felt bad and stupid and angry and alone. Tuesday, March 12: i felt the annoyance and anger and irritability full force. when amir texted back to say he'd be at work and i should come down i was too upset and said too bad, the moment had passed. i could just feel my emotions raging. something else had happened with lorena i think monday-tuesday, so i was peeved at her as well, just peeved at everyone and everything. in my noon walk i thought of jadai, as i often do, and i thought of how she would reach out to me, and how i should actually be the last person in the world she should reach out to. with all of her friends and family, her fiance, and now without cooper, so much extra money, that she really shouldn't have come to me for covid tests, to borrow my cooler (and never give back my yeti ice), to ask to borrow my bowflex weights. how she would be the last person in the world i'd ask, how i'd rather buy it myself or just go without, but i wouldn't reach out and drive the distance.
soon after i got home, pissy with these thoughts, jadai, almost telepathically it seemed, reached out, for the first time since she learned about xio, so about four months: "idk your feelings on it, but i feel like it's been way too long!!! i was trying not to reach out for a while, so just wanted to see if it's ok that i do. i'm always hoping you're doing more than well, and all the good things." 1:34 p.m.
this sent me into a true meltdown, full-on sobbing, and anger. it seemed like she was trying to touch base with an old pal she had fallen out of touch with, a summercamp friend, or just someone whose birthday it was and she had temporarily forgotten about them and was like now, omg how are ya? and that made me so sad and mad. she had been on the forefront of my mind for so long, been the center of so much suffering, and for her to just pop up so nonchalantly, so flippantly, and just say hey as if the lack of communication was inadvertent on my part, which of course it wasn't. i had decided not to message her back after her birthday, and was even more assured of it after xio's passing. i texted several people and came to the conclusion, some hours later, to write back "i'd prefer we not communicate," to which she responded: "ah ok. like not communicate at all, ever?" which threw me into another fit of distraughtness because it was so hard to formulate that first message, and i thought it was it, but to have to answer again with some sort of parameters? it's like the suffering just would not cease. after additional hours of tumult, i decided not to respond, because in a sense, i already had, and i didn't know if it was going to be temporary or last until the day i died, but i could not speak as to when i might be able and just didn't want to keep the dialogue going.
the next day was wednesday, and i could feel the emotions just getting worse. i worked, and at some point joyce whispered me into her office and i jokingly whispered if it was a secret, and we jokingly whispered the issue about one of my forms being wrong, and right before i left, i continued the joke for just a bit longer and said, "is there anything else?" to which she responded that she had started a lunch walking group that would be 40 minutes total, 20 minutes out and 20 minutes back, and welcomed me to join. i asked if i'd have enough time for lunch and she said, "just take a longer lunch!" to which i was like oh heck yhea! and at noon she, two others, and i started walking to, through, and around little tokyo, mostly led by her, as i didn't know what path to go to and we chatted a bit, and i pointed out some of my favorite restaurants, etc. as we re-approached the office, it was noted that it had been only 35 minutes and we still had another 5 minutes to walk, so joyce recommended we take one more round around the block, down the street of the building jadai works in, and .... of all the gin joints in the world, as we walked down, me first, i saw her and a friend walking her up, her hair perfectly coiffed, her sunglasses on, smiling, talking, wearing a perfect baby blue suit with a white flowy top, looking loose on her languid figure and instantly we recognized each other, and i saw her pause in her step, and i nodded and waved, said a small "hi", and kept walking, and she smiled and waved and said hi but had that momentary stop as if to talk to me but must've kept walking when i did. almost as soon as she passed, the tears welled up, and at some point i also realized that it was 3/13, our anniversary, that 5 years ago to the day we had met at tony's and decided that that was it, and now here we were, two strangers walking down the sidewalk, almost brushing shoulders, and all i could feel was so much pain. the tears started almost immediately and i was in the office weeping, tears trickling down, and at some point, went to the bathroom to sob in the handicapped stall. how could the universe be so cruel. what were the chances of all of this happening, on that day of all days in the year.
she messaged me again: "hey such crazy timing seeing you just now! Sorry i would've stopped, but didn't know if i should cuz of your text. would you be down to meet up outside real quick or grab a coffee?"
to which i didn't reply but just cried and cried. i had last corresponded that we shouldn't communicate, and here she was, thinking we should, asking me to, in person, no less.
the cruelty was beginning to just be unimaginable and i seriously considered asking to go home for the day because i just felt so terrible and could not stop crying and i had been so proud of myself for not yet openly crying at work and yet here i was.
that was wednesday and today is saturday. i slept for 13 hours yesterday and have been crying on and off since then. it feels like regression. it feels like the first few months of her leaving. it feels so raw and new all over again, and everything has become so triggering. i'm realizing that when i take my walks, i rarely turn left at kenneth anymore and have been turning right, because left was how i walked with jadai. i still get her mail sometimes, but mostly junk mail. the mail man asked about her last week, asking if all jadai mail should be returned to sender and i said it should. whenever i walk by her building or even down that street, i wonder if she's in one of the cars, or in her office and can see me, and how stupid and fat and ugly and lonely i look, and whether she sees me with a mix of pity and regret. i think of her constantly. she has become a recurring dream, and in the last one, even there, i knew we were not together. i am not at rest, even in my sleep.
i need to go as today is lana's birthday dinner and i need to try and not cry for the first time this week. i've been trying to stay away from alcohol because it might induce more crying and then more subsequent regrettable behavior, but i don't know about tonight. i don't know how much longer this can continue. i thought i was out of the storm, but then the storm came back from me. how cruel.

adding my two (actually more) cents to the second eu tour announcement bc i see some people being upset:
i’m 100% sure the eu tour is neither gonna be the first nor the only one next year.
we’ve had talk and rumours about a world tour (from trusted sources, including tobias himself implying). an actual world tour, mind you.
when in chapter 11 they said copia is gonna do 200-something shows i don’t think they were doing a bit or over-exaggerating, that’s a realistic number, combining era 4 and 5 tours, and there’s still more than enough room for the implied world tour next year.
speaking of next year, it’s gonna be a tight tour schedule (likely) but if the original plan of keeping copia around for 2 album cycles didn’t change, well… my theory is he’ll go out with a bang at the end of the huge tour next year
summer is still a long way to go, there’s more than enough time to announce ticket sales and tour dates for shows in spring, let alone autumn or winter
what i’m saying is, i have no way of knowing why the ones responsible decided to tease the eu tour first, but i have full faith that there are more announcements on the way very very soon
(have you been listening to mr. sultarian/saltarian/salty boy at all today the man Knows Things and there’s so much more going on we’re just getting crumbs currently please stay calm)
#i am once again unapologetically overanalysing#eu and us are just getting special treatment as usual#which. i have no right to complain. just stating the facts here#what i’m thinking is the imperatour is gonna be two legs us and eu respectively; australia; south america; asia#so we’ll have one more eu leg (the one mentioned in the chapter) and then the other continents#(not necessarily in that order)#also#possibly africa?? if so i will pay all my respects because that’s an ACTUAL ACTUAL world tour (NOT CLICKBAIT!!)#i can’t think of a single band off the top of my head that would’ve taken a world tour that literal#hope this reaches some of the mad and sad people that have been popping up on my twitter feed#the band ghost#ghost bc#imperatour#chapter 13#ghost

Friends Forever 🏳️🌈
This is a very special prequel to Pop’s Place. I had planned to orignally post this during Pride Month, and honestly got side tracked. I did have good intentions. I’m not writing about something I’ve personally been through here by any means, but I truly believe, this is how anyone who has went through this, deserves to be treated, by their family and loved ones. And just so we’re clear, Family is not always the people you are related to by blood, but also those that come to your aide when you truly need them, and that is okay, because you are not bound to them by genetics. They. Chose. You. That’s a powerful thing.
This also has a prompt for @choicesficwriterscreations nice event: Here, let’s share a blanket.
The Series: Pre Pop’s Place The Pairings: None, but we have some adorable soulmates known as Mia and Daniel Word Count: 1775 Warnings and Ratings: Anxiety over coming out to friends or family, Profanity; Teen Summary: Daniel decides its time come out to his “family.”
Original Post: 10/10/22 at 11:40PM EST.
A/N: Special thanks to @angelasscribbles that preread this for me, and offered some advice on some parts, and then I turned around and wrote 500+ more words. LOL. Thank you for pre-reading this one. I really wanted to hope you all enjoy this.
A/N2: I know that the acutal coming out conversation that the story tells is Daniel coming out to Mia’s family, but this is an situation I know well. Friends can feel like family and you can worry what they think and how they will perceive you, and in this situation Daniel really cares about how the Jones family will now see him. Pops in particular. My character Pops has a gruff exterior, but underneath that, he is genuinely a big teddy bear.
Mia as a child before she met him was a shy and quiet girl. Her Pops was her best friend. She followed Pops around everywhere he went. A few weeks before school was starting, new neighbors were moving next door. Tell me you’re nosy without telling you we’re nosy? Pops decided that was the perfect time to be out in the yard watering the plants, while trying to be incognito watching the new family move in and Mia was out on the swing set curious big brown eyes watching the new family. Mia’s interest was piqued when a little boy with dark brown hair jumped out of the car cradling a white teddy bear in his arms and that little boy looked incredibly sad.
Mia in that moment decided to smile and wave at the little boy.
His expression completely changed as he smiled and waved back. Pops decided to take Mia over to the neighbor’s house and introduce themselves.
“I’m Kelvin Jones, but everyone calls me Pops, this is Mia, Gloria my wife is in the house making some sweet tea. We’ll be grilling a little bit later, y’all are welcome to come by, sit a spell and eat with us.”
Pops reached out to shake hands with them.
“Well Pops, I’m Richard everyone calls me Rich, and this is my wife Kathy, and this one here looking mad with the world is Daniel. Yes, we’d love to have dinner with y’all. We haven’t made it to the grocery yet, and probably won’t until tomorrow sometime. We really appreciate your kindness.”
And that’s how the Stephenson’s and the Jones’s became friends. Mia and Daniel were inseparable from day one.
After dinner both families wound up inside the Jones’s home. Pops liked to keep the house cool because South Carolina in the summer could be a scorcher. So Gloria had many little throw blankets around to cuddle up under.
Mia could tell that Daniel was cold.
“Here, let’s share a blanket.”
“Yes please!” Daniel exclaimed. Both children curled up under the blanket watching the movie on television.
“Our Daniel is so quiet, we were worried he wouldn’t make any friends.” Kathy Stephenson told Gloria. “So he spends a lot of time with me.”
“That’s Mia too. She’s Pop’s little shadow. Look at them, they look like the best of friends already. It looks like somehow in a day, both our prayers were answered.”
Kathy nodded, looking towards the couch where both were whispering secrets to each other and laughing.
“It’s like they’ve known each other their entire lives.”
“That’s how any good friendship begins. Thank you for your hospitality to us.”
“I second that, and Pops, you are quite the chef! You saved us from having to go out to eat somewhere. You should have your own restaurant.” Rich Stephenson remarked.
“That’s my dream, it just hasn’t happened for me yet.”
“It will.”
Rich Stephenson was right.
“Uh oh, do you see their faces?
This one wants something. What is it Mia?”
“Oh yes, and look who’s trailing behind her, they are already thick as thieves.”
“Can Daniel sleep over tonight? They don’t have cable yet, and there’s a Harry Potter Movie marathon on tonight, and he hasn’t seen all the movies yet.”
“We just moved in, Daniel. You haven’t even slept in your own bed yet?”
“It will still be there tomorrow.” Daniel confirmed.
Pops laughed out loud.
“He’s welcome to stay, if you all don’t mind, I'll fall asleep during those movies anyway. Gives Mia someone to watch them with. And y’all come over for breakfast in the morning since you’ve not had a chance to go to the grocery store yet.”
“We can’t thank you enough for your hospitality, and I promise we plan to have you all over for dinner when we’re settled in.”
“We’ll definitely take you up on that.”
Daniel slept over at the Jones’s house the first night they moved into their new house. Over the coming years, there were endless sleepovers, between the houses, and endless dinners between the families. Both families were even on the pickup lists for each other’s kids, and Mia and Daniel were best friends, and stayed that way up through their teen years.
Eleven Years Later
Mia paced nervously in the living room while she constantly checked her cell phone.
“Mia, would you get somewhere and sit down! Why are you fidgety?”
She wanted to answer. She really did, but she couldn’t. It was because it wasn’t her news to tell. Her best friend Daniel had come out to her, to which she honestly was not surprised, it was a huge step for him on his journey of self acceptance, and tonight, he was telling his parents.
The Stephenson’s seemed like very open minded people. But you just never know, and that little bit of doubt had her nervous for her friend, but in that moment when speaking to him as he made up his mind, she reassured him. What if she had done the wrong thing? She had essentially known them since she was five. She knew them like she knew her own parents, at least she thought she did.
Pops glanced up from the television.
“Mia. SIT DOWN.”
Mia sat down on the couch. She nervously picked at the pink glitter polish on her nails. When her phone rang she jumped. It was Daniel; she ran quickly to her bedroom.
“Daniel, is everything okay?”
All she heard from Daniel was sobbing on the other end.
“Daniel… say something please. You can stay with us if you need to. It’s alright. Fuck them!!! It’s going to be okay! I promise.”
Daniel finally composed himself a little more to finally be able to speak.
“Mia, it’s alright. I’m alright. What I know now is that I have the best parents in the world Mia. My mom said she has known for years, and my Dad said he was proud of me for having the courage to tell them who I am. They told me they love me, and they would be there for me always. They even want us to go participate in the Pride to be Alive 5k in a few weeks.”
“How do you feel about that?”
“It’s embarrassing, but it’s great that they want to be here for me, that they want to be a part of this journey with me. They just want me to be happy with me. Finally I can be."
“That’s so great Daniel.”
“I know you were worried, sorry I scared you there for a few moments. But thanks for offering me a place to stay without even batting an eye.”
“We’re family Daniel. We look out for each other.”
“That being said, I want to talk to Pops next. Do you think he’ll be okay right?”
“Pops loves you. You’re my best friend. Pops will be fine.”
“Pops is like a man’s man. My dad is nothing like Pops. Honestly, what do you think? Please be totally honest with me Mia.”
Mia thought for a few moments. Pops, her Pops, loved everyone and he was social with everybody. Black, white, green, or purple, it didn’t matter, Pops could get along with anyone and loved everyone, and Everyone loved Pops.
“He’ll be okay, Daniel. Pops loves you. You’re my best friend. Our families are close.”
“Can I come over for dinner tomorrow?”
“Um yes, is it because you want to talk to him, or is this because it’s fried chicken night?”
“A little bit of both. Everyone’s in a good mood when Pops makes his special fried chicken.”
The next night Daniel was over to dinner with the family.
Pops smiled. “Good thing I made extra, since you are having Daniel over.”
“Pops now you know, you always make extra because that’s how you do. Nobody is walking away from this house starving. Ever!”
Pops let out a deep belly laugh. “Exactly. Help yourselves. There’s plenty for seconds and thirds if you want it.”
Dinner was going well, but Daniel had fallen silent. Mia tried to keep the conversation lighthearted and going, but she was worried about Daniel. He looked nervous and incredibly uncomfortable.
“You don’t have to do this tonight if you’re not ready, Daniel.” She whispered to him.
Pops seemed to have picked up on Daniel’s mood and offered a kind ear to listen.
“Now Daniel, I’m used to you being more talkative than this. Is something bothering you Son?”
Daniel still was silent.
“You can talk to us.”
Daniel looked up from his plate to Pop’s concerned face.
“We’re family. We might not look like it. The oven just happened to break when it was cooking you.”
Daniel laughed. “Hey now I get a pretty impressive tan in the summer.” Daniel held out his arm showing his barely tanned skin.
Gloria laughed. “Mmmmhum, you keep telling yourself that, baby.”
Everyone laughed at the table, before the laughter stopped Daniel said the words as if he couldn’t contain them anymore.
“I’m gay.”
“Can you pass the mashed potatoes?” Pops asked simply.
Surprised, Daniel complied, there was silence for a few more moments.
“Did ....you hear what I said?” Daniel inquired, his voice sounding afraid, almost insecure and stammering.
Pops swallowed the mouthful of green beans he was chewing on.
“Yes, and I think I speak for the table when I say that doesn’t matter to me one bit. I call you Son, because that is who you are to me, and I love you just as you are. You never have to be afraid of who you are, or that I’m going to love you less because of who you love.”
Mia took Daniel’s hand.
“Exactly Pops.”
“And the feeling I get is that you were most worried about how I would respond. And for that I’m sorry. I have never wanted to make you feel that you couldn’t tell me something important about your life, about yourself. I want you to know, you’re my son. And nothing you could say could make me love you less.”
Pops got up from the head of the table to stand beside Daniel; Daniel also stood. The two hugged.
“It’s alright.” Pops gently consoled Daniel. “I’m so very proud of you Daniel.”
“Thank you Pops.”
“No, don’t thank me for this. This is how a parent should react when their child tells them something very important about themselves. They should respond with unconditional love. And you, Daniel Eugene Stephenson, are loved.”
“Than…..”
“Nuh uh uh uh!!!! What did I just say Son?!?! Let’s finish eating! The food’s gonna get cold.”
“Okay Pops.”
From that moment on for the rest of dinner, Daniel was his happy, joking, talkative self. His real self and he was glowing with sheer joy.

serial lover
chapter one(?)
pairing: billy x f!reader
wc: 2.8k
summary: billy wants to kill you, but you change his mind last minute.
warnings: angst, murder, swearing, fluff(?)
a/n: i used both their point of views so i hope it came out alright. i definitely want to write another chapter. hope you enjoy! <3
He looked at you from afar. Lurking in the bushes, watching your every move. It was pretty much turning into a daily routine. He wanted you, bad. Billy was heavily debating when to break in one of these nights to kill you. Lucky for him, tonight might be the night, your parents weren't home and your siblings were nowhere to be seen. Just you, sitting pretty on your bed and staring at the ceiling.
You were the perfect victim. It had been a few years since the first killing spree in Woodsboro. Everything for the most part had gone back to normal. They thought about it for a while, and considering they had succeeded the first time, Billy and Stu decided to give it another go. Only for this job was Billy on his own, Stu being with his girlfriend.
A kind, innocent girl like you? That would be fun. Though you had never wronged the pair, you were somewhat of a loner. Quiet but willing to help when needed. Might've been a distasteful move, but damn was Billy eager to hear what your screams sounded like.
And now that you were alone, it was the perfect time to play a game.
Only you weren't.
Your brother in law, Ian, was in the living room, watching a hockey game.
Billy got into a stance when he saw you getting up from the bed, figuring you would leave the room. Instead, you paced in circles. He looked down at your hands, you were flicking your index finger against your thumb, as if it was out of anxiety. You seemed to be contemplating something.
You looked at yourself in the mirror. Billy having to duck down so you wouldn't spot him. It would be a different story if he was dressed up as himself, you two were acquainted after all, having one or two classes together. But he wasn't exactly 'himself' right now, he was Ghostface. Though he and Ghostface were one in the same, you didn't know that. You would only see a masked psycho hiding in your bushes.
He was about to pick up his cellphone to call your house phone, but something stopped him. His hand was frozen in place. When he looked back to you, he noticed a change in your expression.
You were crying in the mirror.
Billy cocked his head. What the fuck was this? One minute you're fine and seemingly calm. Then the next minute you're crying as if something traumatic happened.
He raised his brows, surprised when you stopped crying immediately, as if on cue. Your eyes had been glossy but were now completely dry.
Holy shit. Where did you learn that? He thought.
You didn't look sad anymore. In fact there was no emotion at all and for some reason, Billy loved it.
—
You wiped the tears off your face and stared at yourself in the mirror. Taking a deep breath.
Was that believable? I think so.
A part of you wished you had someone here to let you know, but this was something you needed to do by yourself. You didn't even know if you were gonna go through with it, but the urge wouldn’t leave your mind.
Hearing a loud cheer from the other room, you groaned in disgust. You had a hard time believing your family would leave Ian here with you. Especially after all the shit you've taken from him.
You could confidently say that you hated your brother in law. Your sister disappointed you, putting up with trash like him and you resented your family for tolerating it for as long as they have. For over a year, he had lived in your house. Being nothing but a bum. Always being a fucking asshole to you and your family, then making you feel like shit when you call him out.
He could get away with it too. The fact your father was rarely in town made it easy and you hated it. You hated him. You wanted him gone, for good.
You knew there was only one way. No matter how many fights, he wouldn't leave. Refused to.
If he was gone, everything would be fine. It'd take time for some people to heal, but this was for the best.
Thinking about it put a smile on your face. Even though the inhuman thoughts ashamed you, you couldn't help but let them excite you at the same time. Never in your life had you wanted to do something like this, but you craved to see that piece of shit suffer. This would be the only time, and hopefully you wouldn't get caught.
You opened up your drawer, pulling out some scissors, studying them for a few seconds before putting them back.
You weren't ready to get blood on your hands. You looked around your room, trying to find something easy and simple. You looked down at your rack of shoes. Suddenly, an idea popped into your head.
You pulled the lace from one of your old sneakers, you'd have to dump them afterwards but you wouldn't miss them. While you wrapped the string around both your hands, something came over you. You didn't even realize you were walking to the living room, until you were standing right behind him while he watched his game. At that point, your body was doing the talking. Fuck what was actually right. Fuck morals.
Billy watched all this, following your every move. He cursed himself for not noticing the other obvious person in the house. How stupid. If he decided to pursue you there was a greater chance he wouldn't get away. Stu would've had to come. You kind of saved him there.
Seeing the single shoelace in your grip and standing so close behind Ian, he was actually anticipating your next move. Which surprised him, you had him on the edge of his seat. You had opened his eyes in those last few minutes. You had him so confused.
He had been watching you for days, basically knew your day and night routine. So, where did this come from? You put on an act, even for yourself?
He couldn't deny he thought you were, somewhat, adorable. Many victims had been adorable, but being adorable doesn't mean shit to Billy. If he wanted to gut you, he would.
There were times where you would just sit and stare into a void, but he didn't really think anything of it. He didn't realize how fucked up in the head you really were.
He couldn't kill you now, definitely not. You were turning out to be just as insane as he was. Billy felt drawn to you. He was rooting for you.
You stood there long enough for Ian to notice your presence behind him. Not even turning around, he opened his mouth.
"What the fuck do you wa-" He didn't even get to finish his sentence before you wrapped the shoelace around his neck, attempting to strangle him.
Hearing him speak irritated the fuck out of you. You'd rather cut your own ears off, but why do that? He should just simply stop talking.
He was strong, but you gave yourself props for not wearing socks, your feet were planted firmly on the ground, and they weren't going anywhere. His arms were violently swinging, voice coming out in gargles. How long did I need to do this for? Maybe a plastic bag would've been easier.
It felt like forever until he quit moving. Eventually, his arms fell limp and his breathing stopped. You stood there for a moment, the lace still wrapped around him. Had you killed him?
You decided you wanted to be sure, jerking the shoelace against his neck just one more time.
Suddenly his arm flew up, grabbing the shoelace and trying to jerk your body forward. You begin to struggle against him, pulling the lace as tight as you could so he couldn't grip it, but he was able to overpower you within seconds. Yanking you over the sofa he had been sitting on, you groaned in pain as your back hit the floor. The air being knocked out of you.
Where did that adrenaline come from?
Watching you flip like that, for some reason, worried Billy. Even he thought you had him. He couldn't let this happen, he felt the strong urge to come to your rescue. Sure, some random guy dying by the hands of ghostface didn't fit the route they were trying to take, but Billy was going to protect you tonight. He needed to.
He quickly got up from where he was crouched, beginning to creep his way towards the house. He figured he needed to move fast considering how much smaller you were compared to the man you were trying to murder.
"You little fucking bitch!" Ian managed to seethe, voice extremely hoarse. He got up from where he was standing and grabbed you by the hair, making you cry out pain. Billy heard the commotion from outside, and the sound he'd been wanting to hear. He didn't like it. Why?
Why did it make him angry to hear you in pain?
You wanted to avoid eye contact with Ian, but he yanked your hair again, making you face him. The look in his eyes seemed hungry, and not in a good way.
He gave you a vile smile, before slapping you across the face, making you tumble to the floor once again. You slowly reached up, touching your cheek. A single tear threatened to fall but you quickly blinked it away. It burned, almost vibrating from the impact. You knew the slap was hard enough for blood to come through.
Fuck.
You figured you were screwed, if you knew he was gonna grab you like that you would've just duct taped him to the coach. You really did not think this one through, even though you had been thinking about it for months on end.
You felt his body heat centimeters away from you. Looking up at him, he hovered over you.
"Thank you for finally giving me a reason to do that." He said, his tone spilling venom. "I'm gonna enjoy this."
You just stared at him, you weren't scared or upset. You couldn't even be mad, you just attempted to strangle your sisters husband. What could've been expected? You probably didn't have a great chance of succeeding anyway, but you couldn't fight your urges anymore.
People like him deserved death.
You didn't have time to process another thought before Ian picked you up, throwing you against the wall. You yelped as your side impacted harshly against the wood floor. You didn't even want to look at him anymore, you had failed and were probably gonna die, or get beat into a coma.
You didn't feel him grab you again. You didn't feel him pin you against the wall. You didn't feel the corner of the table next you digging into your side. You didn't feel anything. Not even the tears falling from your eyes.
"Don't cry now darling," He whispered in your ear, you shuddered in disgust. "This is what you wanted."
His voice made you want to vomit. Cigarettes and cheap beer leaking off his tongue. Even with him up to your ear, you could smell it. He was so fucking close. Everything about this man made you sick. You couldn't understand how your sister slept beside this thing at night.
He held your body against his while he shifted his hands. They wrapped around your throat and squeezed, very hard. You couldn't breathe. You wanted to just let it happen but your body was thinking ahead of you, once again. You grabbed his hands, trying to pry him off.
You actually couldn't fucking breathe. You were going to die, staring into this mans lifeless eyes, hearing his heaving breathing...his body pressed against yours. You would rather get stabbed to death. Or burned alive. You just didn't want him to be the last thing you saw before you died. You didn't want to die.
I fucked up.
Maybe you were selfish too. You were better off just hurting yourself to ease the pain. You couldn't get him off you and it was painful. Your vision was starting to blur.
You used your feet to try and push him off you, but your attempts failed.
Unexpectedly, you fell to the floor with a thud. You quickly inhaled a large breath of air, a small coughing spell following. You couldn't hear or see anything in that moment, just trying to get up, desperately trying to regain your strength.
Breathing had never felt so good.
Weak and in pain, you used one hand to guide your way up the wall, while the other one held your throat. As you regained your vision and started to focus on your surroundings, you began to hear struggling. Lots of struggling. You were confused, you thought it was just the both of you. As you looked up, you noticed a cloaked figure on top of Ian.
Billy had gotten into the house from your laundry room window, finding the entrance a few days ago when he was planning how he would kill you. He crept in, being as quiet as a ghost. When he turned the corner, he saw Ian pressing you deep against the wall. He watched you struggle and fight, a few tears falling from your eyes.
He tackled your brother in law to the floor, making him lose his grip on you. Billy managed to gain the upper hand quickly, getting on top of him and wrapping his hands around his throat. Ian kicked his legs, but it did no good. Billy was too far up on his chest, sinking all his body weight onto him.
You stood there and watched. You were confused and shocked on what was happening, on where this guy came from. You looked down, noticing a knife next to the person in the black cloak. You begin to panic a little inside, wondering whether this person was saving your life or here to take you both out.
It only then hit you that the knife and the black costume seemed way too familiar.
Oh shit...It can't be.
Was this, The Ghostface?
From what you and the rest of Woodsboro knew, that killer who committed all those murders years ago was supposed to be dead. So what was he doing here?
You snapped back into reality when you heard Ian trying to speak. Looking at the both of them, you saw Ian's arms swing violently once again. Billy had managed to dodge most the swings, his arms steadily pressing down on Ian's throat. He did take a few hits to the face though, but he had been through worse.
It wasn't until he started reaching for the mask.
Billy could only lean back so far, if he tried anymore Ian would gain the upper hand in a matter of seconds. He usually didn’t care, since they were going to be dead anyway, but he wasn’t going to kill you.
You noticed what was happening, even with Ghostface's back turned to you. You slowly crept your way towards them, until you could see Ian's face again.
His eyes were wide as plates and his skin looked tight as the killer pushed down on his throat. Ian's eyes snapped to you, making Billy turn his head a little to see you in his peripheral vision. You could tell by the look in Ian's eyes that he wanted your help.
Tough shit.
You slowly walked around the two, Ian was convinced you were gonna help him, beginning to reach for the mask again, fingers brushing the mouth, trying to find a grip. You kneeled, grabbing Ian's arms, pinning him down. Your gazed flickered towards the mask killer, to find he was already looking in your direction.
You decided to flash him a smile. Though you couldn't see behind that mask, Billy had the same expression.
You lowered your body down, until your mouth was leveled with Ian's ear. He was trying to fight against you, but he had no more strength. He was done for.
"See you in hell, fat shit." You spoke into his ear.
Gargles could only be heard, and the hockey game playing on the tv was basically non existent. The life Ian once had, was now gone. You slowly stood up, ghostface doing the same. You both looked at his lifeless body.
“I don’t know whether I should say thank you, or start running.” You said, letting out a laugh. It hurt like hell to speak. Your eyes moved to the masked killer and once again, he was already looking at you.
You both stared at each other for a few seconds, before he took a step closer to you. You didn’t back up, and for some reason you didn’t feel afraid. Billy reached out his hand, lightly touching your throat.
You weirdly didn’t mind the feeling, you weren’t scared of his touch, in fact, it was very gentle.
His hand trailed up, cupping the cheek that had been slapped. His thumb lightly rubbed your cheek and you couldn’t help but sigh.
“Thank you.” You told him, but he didn’t say anything. You knew he couldn’t speak, he wasn’t gonna let you find out who he was. If you recognized the voice or didn’t there was still a chance.
A car pulling up into the driveway made you and Billy snap your attention to the front of the house. He looked at you once again, seeing the fear in your eyes. He had to help you out some more, and you couldn’t be awake for it to work.
“I’m sorry.” Billy lowly mumbled, before knocking you unconscious.

in another arms. h.shoyo angst
REQUEST: Hinata walks on Tsukishima and you in a position that looks like you’re cheating, but it’s a misunderstanding and you even have a video. But he ignores you, and gives you threats to the point Tsukishima has to push him. people in school get to know and start bullying you, so you have to move schools, and when Hinata realizes his mistake because Yams shows the video, it’s too late, you’re in Suna’s arms. -anon
ANSWER: HAHAHAH THANK YOU SO MUCH YOURE SO ORIGINAL—
Warnings: Gn!Reader, jealousy, trust issues, bullying and swearing. contains other (boys) x reader,
You were on the gym, where Tsukishima was listening to music and Yamaguchi was recording you while you simply walked, to grab a ball and toss to your 8month boyfriend, Hinata. You were walking right next to the small box with balls, that was right next to the boys, but in the way, you tripped with someone’s bag that was in the way. But instead of feeling the cold floor on your back, like you were expecting, you feel someone’s arms embracing you. You look up to see Tsukishima mildly smiling at you holding you “You’re clumsy, aren’t you?” But before you can say a word, Hinata enters the gym opening the door with a loud noise, and suddenly running next to you. You quickly get out of Tsukishima’s arms, thanking him with your look, about to turn around, but you feel Hinata’s grip on your arm. “Y/N??” He looks mad, but also devastated, as if something had happened to him. “What the hell?” He asks again. “What’s wrong Sho-?” you ask in confusion. “What do you mean “what’s wrong”!? You were literally…” he pauses for a second before continuing.”cheating on me?? In the middle of the gym!?” “Shoyo, what the hell? Why would you think that? I literally tripped.” “Yeah of course. Typical excuse, y/n.” “Hinata! Even, Yams!” An idea pops in your head “Yamaguchi was literally recording me!” “I don’t wanna know anything about you y/n.” He looks at you in a serious manner. “We’re done, and I hope you’re happy.” “You know, maybe, when the people in the school know this, you’re gonna get fucked. Everyone will know how you’re truly, just a disgusting cheater. “You feel your own face tremble in fear “shoyo, please, believe! just look at the v-“ “Shut up, you’re nothing but cheating tra-“ but before he can continue Tsukishima pushes him away from you “Hinata, the hell?” Shoyo gets up, now away from you “Bye y/n.” He says, before giving you a one last forced smile, and walking out of the gym, leaving you devastated. “How could he believe that-?” You whisper, eyes forming tears in them. Yamaguchi slowly walks to you, hugging you lightly “hey, y/n, we will just show him the video, don’t worry.” That’s what should’ve happened, a happy ending with Shoyo like he promised you, but it was all ruined because of his trust issues.
Next day at school, you tried to localize him, but instead you ended up getting filthy words from most of your classmates “cheater” “really? She did that to shoyo?” “She’s the one who made Hinata, yes , HINATA, sad.” “Cmon let’s go, I don’t wanna be near a cheater” You tried to keep your composure, but there was a moment where the words got to you and you started crying. The words kept coming “What a crybaby” “imagine cheating and then crying” “I hope she’s having a hard time to be honest.”
The next day wasn’t a lot better, you reached Hinata, phone in hand whispering “please, just , look at the video!” but instead of him looking at it, you got pushed by some of his classmates, while he just ignored you. And that went on the whole month. Ignored by everyone, only getting horrible words, insults and even hate letters. You knew you didn’t deserve this. You didn’t do anything. It was time to move on. You blocked Hinata in everything and threw away everything related to him, and after explaining to your parents the situation, they decided to sign you up in a different school, the Inarizaki High.
You’ve been there for 4 months now, feeling finally happy, and met amazing people, like Suna. He always listened to you, cared about you and made you happy. Meanwhile, on the other hand, Hinata missed you. He talked to Yamaguchi, “how can I fix this? Maybe if I had given her another chance.” “Another chance?” Yamaguchi asks. “Don’t act like an idiot and look at this.”
He takes out the phone, showing the video. You were laughing at some joke he made, and when you bent down to pick up a ball you tripped. Hinata’s eyes widen. “Oh no, no. Please this can’t be real.” “Well it is, you owe her an apology.” Hinata tries to contact you everywhere, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, iMessages, FaceTime, Facebook. But you blocked him everywhere. There was no possibility for him to talk to you anymore.
Or at least that’s what you both thought, until Karasuno had to go to Inarizaki to play a volleyball game. You aren’t the manager, but wanted to be there, to support your now boyfriend Suna. You would try to avoid Hinata, you were tired of him anyways.
It’s finally the day of the match, and you’re with your boyfriend before it starts. You’re sitting on his lap, while he caresses your cheek adoringly, whispering sweet “I love you”s in your ear. But, then you feel a hand on your waist, thing he wasn’t used to do. With your eyes closed, you smile at the sudden attention, but open them flush when you hear your boyfriend shout “What the hell dude? Leave my girlfriend alone!” Hinata was next to you, trying to hug you while you had your eyes closed. Standing up, you cling on Suna’s arms, Hinata still standing in front of you. before whispering “sorry for this.” “it’s not your fault, don’t be sorry!” “Well, last time my ex-boyfriend told me it was my fault, I’m sorry.” “Well, last time, your boyfriend was an idiot.” And finally Hinata hears the words he was deserving, for making you suffer. At least you where in someone else’s arms now. :)

Your Filthy Addiction
Five more minutes, you’re going to give that arrogant son of a bitch five more minutes before you toss the food you’d made earlier. You’ve spent all dam day slaving away in that kitchen of yours to make sure Ransom had a decent home cooked meal to come back to after a long day working with Harlan, and what does he do? He doesn’t even show up.
You might love him but if you didn’t get annoyed at least once a day with him then life wouldn’t be right. He’s always doing something to mess you around.
And today is testament to that, it’s testament to the fact that no matter how hard he tries, he just can’t help but let you down. Maybe now you’ve had enough of sitting idly by and letting him walk all over you.
So when he eventually stumbles into the house, his tipsy state as clear as day, your cage is well and truly rattled.
“Where the hell have you been?” you snap, standing in front of him with your hands placed firmly on your hips as you take in his flustered cheeks. He’s very drunk indeed, probably due to the bottomless Jameson supply at the bar across town.
You’ve tried your hardest for years ever since the night you first met Ransom to help him with his obvious drinking problem but to no avail. And now you see why your solutions to his problems never worked, it was because despite his constant complaining about said problems, he loves having just a tiny bit of conflict in his life. Mostly with his good for nothing family who only treat him like dirt. But he gives as good as he gets, always has and always will.
“I was just out with Harvey” the way his shoulders move up as he shrugs only seems to bother you all the more. His lack of care for his actions have always created issues for your relationship but this takes the cake.
To some, your pouty and bratty behaviour may seem pathetic and unnecessary, but to you it’s more than him missing dinner. It’s about the fact that he always seems to let you down, over and over.
“Oh so you prefer his company over mine then? Because i made us a lovely meal so that we could eat together after a week of not being able to and this is the thanks i get? For my so called boyfriend to be swanning off with the master of one night stands” your voice is low, your stare dark and angry, your stance even more so and he can definitely see how badly he’s fucked up.
However, if you know Ransom well enough, then you can certainly see his change in attitude coming a mile off.
“You’d better watch your fucking mouth” he barks, his finger pointed directly in your face as he stalks closer to you. You find yourself stepping back, intimidation controlling you.
“Or what? You gonna make me? Judging by the way you’ve been acting you don’t have a leg to stand on” you say matter of factly as you shake your head in disgust at his nerve. How dare he boss you around when he’s the one who’s been out of line all this time.
“Maybe i will” he pokes his chin out as he stands tall, hands by his sides. He looks awfully confident as he inches closer. His index finger slips underneath your chin as he forces you to look directly into his menacing eyes.
You feel your breath catch in this moment. The knowledge of him doing whatever he wants to do to you just because he can is causing your entire body to shiver with anticipation. Despite how he makes you feel sometimes, you’re a sucker for him and everything he does.
He says jump, you say how high.
“What?” you murmur, wanting him to use his words just like he always makes you do.
“I said, maybe i will make you. Bet you’d love that, slut” you wince at the horrid nickname. It’s moments like these when you always try your hardest to avoid thinking about how his degradation of you makes you feel, your mind is objecting but your body is giving him the green light.
How is that?
How does he always manage to do that?
Must be some kind of mind control as you absentmindedly follow him through to the kitchen, his hand barely holding onto your own.
Before you can even make sense of things, he pushes you over the kitchen counter forcefully.
His hands splay across your ass cheeks as he lifts your dress up, bunching it at your waist before yanking your ruined panties down your bare legs. Next thing you know his fingers are toying at your dripping wet hole.
“Would ya look at this...you can try all you like to act up sweetheart, but you and i both know why this cunt of yours is soaked”
There he goes again, spewing filth to get you to give up the jig. You know you have to remain strong and stable but it’s so hard to do that when he....wait! Is he inserting his fingers? Fuck, they are so thick inside of you and two already? He must be a mind reader to know how this makes you feel, he must know what gets you keening because now here you are pushing back on them like a needy little brat.
“Pushing back on my fingers already? How pathetic” he tuts, his tone mocking as he chuckles a little. Still, his fingers remain as they twist and turn inside of you, scissoring you open before he adds a third.
Fuck, this is delicious torture. The man you’re supposed to be mad at but you can’t bring yourself to be when he makes your body feel so good.
The undeniable and powerful pleasure that he provides is just too good to quit. You could never let him go even if you actively tried to which by the way, you’ve attempted it a hundred times at least.
But every time you try he just lures you back in with his sexual prowess, his high libido and those dashing good looks. His sweet talk isn’t too bad either.
When will you ever learn to strengthen yourself up and walk away? Because he’s never going to change but oh shit, the way he’s pumping his fingers in and out rapidly is enough to cause the coil in your stomach to tighten one last time.
You move to meet his fingers, hips gyrating in circular motions slowly as you reach your hand between your legs.
Of course he pushes you hand away, insisting on using his own. His thumb presses down on your pulsating clit and the breathy groans that are escaping him let you know that he can sense your impending orgasm.
“Come on, baby. Cum for daddy” he urges, rubbing firm circles on you clit as his fingers curl inside of you, pushing against that spongy spot deep within. The one that will have you seeing stars in, 3...2...1.
“FUCK RANSOM” you scream out, hands gripping the kitchen counter so hard that it turns your knuckles white, his fingers continue to drive into you over and over as he rides you through your intense high.
“That’s my girl, just like that. Let go, baby” you can hear the smirk in his voice, the smugness he feels knowing that yet again he’s prevented you from walking away.
He’s convinced you to stay just by pleasuring you with his filthy touch, his sinful thick digits.
You may be weak, but with a man this good, a man capable of making your pretty little pussy cum over and over, why would you want to be anything else?
As soon as you come down from the high, you stand up, straightening your posture as you turn around to face him. The proud look covering his face lets you know that it’s all a game to him.
You pull your dress back down so that it’s covering up your modesty before pulling your panties up.
“What’s wrong, sad eyes?” he pokes, his hands resting either side of the counter, caging you in.
“You know what. You can’t just keep using sex to keep me around, Ransom” you huff in defeat, bothered by your lack of strong will.
“Sure i can, and what’s more, you’re gonna enjoy it too” he raises his eyebrows as he spins you back around, keeping your back arched by yanking your head backwards.
Every inch of your skin turns to gooseflesh as he trails his finger down the curve of your back before reaching your tail bone and pushing your dress up. He undoes the belt around his slacks before popping open the button and slipping them down along with his boxers, freeing his erection from its tight confines.
He slips your arousal covered panties to the side before smothering his eager red tip in your mouth watering pussy juices. Once he catches on your entrance he slams inside of you, but before you can jerk forward he hooks his arm into both of yours as he holds them behind you firmly.
You can never leave him, even if you truly wanted to, you’re stuck in an ongoing loop of orgasms and rough sex.
A frantic whimper slips off your tongue as his pace now renders on animalistic, hard and fast, just the way you both like it.
Of course the real pleasure comes from the slow and hard thrusts, the ones where he gently pokes at your g spot as he lays on top of you. Your legs wrapped around him, his face in the crook of your neck. But now is not the time for gentle and slow, now is the time for rushed and needy.
He’s desperate to achieve that orgasm just as much as he is to provide one for you. To feel your legs shaking as your head lulls back to rest on his chest, eyes rolling to the back of your head, it’s something he can never and will never get enough of. The way your walls are clamping down on him right now should be illegal as he can feel his balls tighten with the impending release.
“Fuck. Keep tightening those walls baby, let yourself go. Just. One. Last. Time” his voice desperate as his breathing turns ragged, matching yours. Your chest starts to rise and fall before your head falls back to rest on his chest just like he loves. He can feel your entire body tremble in his hold as he loosens his grip and pushes you over the counter.
“Gonna fucking cum, deep inside of this pussy. Gonna fill you up with my cum, baby” he growls, his voice deeper than before. He’s so painfully close, as are you.
And as you flutter around him one last time, he spills his load inside of you, causing you to stand up onto your tip toes with your head pressed into the marble counter.
He paints your walls with thick white ropes before twitching as he slows down his thrusts, then he stills his hips.
All that can be heard in this kitchen is heavy panting before the sound of your pussy squelching as he pulls out distracts you. He pulls his slacks back up, making quick work of his zip, button and belt whilst you toss your panties into the hamper by the laundry room and pull your dress back down before heading up to your bedroom.
New panties are a must.
“Now do you get it?” he asks, leaning on the open doorway to your room and causing you to turn and face him once your fresh panties are on.
“Get what?”
“Your mine and you always will be, until i say otherwise” he states, shocking you.
“I’m not your property, Ransom”
“Oh but you are, those soaked panties in that hamper prove it. So get used to it, because you’re never leaving me, especially not now”
You’re well and truly fucked... held captive by his intoxicating smell, intimidating demeanour and his undeniable skills in the bedroom.
Guess you should have known from the day you first met Hugh Ransom Drysdale that you’d never make it out alive if you were to run.
But the real question is, do you even want to leave him? He’s everything you detest but still you stay and continue to crave more of him.
And the answer to that question would be no, no you wouldn't want to leave.
He may be a prick, an arrogant asshole and a cocky son of a bitch but he is an addiction...your filthy addiction, and you wouldn’t have it or him any other way.

Keigo Takami (Hawks) yandere, how he kidnaps you
so i love this mans, he is mwah mwah mwah delicious so here is some juicy content for my yandere & hawks lovers and he is (in my personal opinion) one of the scariest mha yanderes
The bar opens at 5pm and closes at 330 am. Usually you work a 9-closing shift. So you get to see lots of interesting people and hear lots of interesting things. The main reason you continue to work here is because you love the gossip. You never miss a detail, you never miss a rumor, you know everything that goes on in this city. But because it is one of the busiest parts of the city, it's a hot spot for crime. You've dealt with more than your fare share of robberies and attacks. You even have all of the best escape routes memorized. And every now and then you get to see someone famous, whether it be a pop star or a hero.
You glance up at the clock on the wall, it's only 1:21 am. Damn, every minute you count seems to last an hour. But luckily it's not incredibly busy. It's a rainy Thursday night (Friday morning), and the only people hanging around are drunks and sad people. Speaking of...
Someone taps on the bar and you whip your head towards them. The very tired woman displays the number one with her hand, indicating for a refill. You smile and take her glass. Another straight whiskey for her it is. You turn your back towards the bar and reach for the bottle of whiskey on the wall. Your fingers brush the neck of the bottle, so you stand on your toes to grab it, and then a finger taps gently on your back.
You're startled, and the bottle slips right through your fingers. It plummets towards the ground and with quick thinking you reach your foot out. You supply a soft landing, resulting in no broken glass or wasted whiskey. Before looking to see who tapped you, you lean down and pick the bottle up from your foot, releasing a shaky breath. You stand up and face the perpetrator.
A man is leaning far over the bar, one hand hanging off of your side of the bar, and his head is in his other hand. You grimace at him as he stands up straight.
"You've got some nerve trying to touch me." You spit.
He puts his hands up and makes an innocent looking face, "No that's not it at all! I was just hoping to get a beer."
You give him a quick onceover. He has blonde scruffy hair and stubble lining his chin and jaw. he's wearing a tight white shirt and a pair of jeans. But two things stand out to you, his yellow eyes, and his red wings. It begins garnering the attention of other patrons as well, it seems as if everyone has figured out his identity in a matter of seconds.
"Fine, sit down and keep your hands to yourself." You mumble and return to pouring this lady her glass of whiskey. She smiles at you and glances over to her new bar sitting mate. She's too drunk to recognize him though.
You lean against the shelf behind you, trying to step as far away as possible from his hands. "And what is our number two hero doing at my bar today?"
He chuckles and shakes his head, "You flatter me." He props his arm up on the bar and rests his head on his hand once again. "Like I said, I'm just looking for a beer." He peers at beer selection and smiles, "A Fly High beer please."
You roll your eyes, how predictable. You pour him a glass and set it in front of him. "Thanks little bird."
Despite being angry at him, what everyone says is true. He is undeniably handsome and charismatic, and you don't stay mad for long. Soon the bar begins to empty out and the two of you are the only people left. You end up talking about what pro hero work is like and then what being a bartender is like; swapping stories.
"And then this man who had been passed out the whole time." You take a sip of your water, "He sits up and yells 'It wasn't me!'" The both of you chuckle and Hawks shakes his head.
"Hey, why don't you come over to my place. You don't have work tomorrow right?" He asks with his famous smile.
"I suppose I could. But how did you know that I don't have work tomorrow?" You ask with a hint of suspicion.
"One of the regulars said he would see you on Saturday, so I made a guess." Before giving you time to respond he leans over the bar and pats your shoulder. "It's 3:33, why don't you close up? I'll wait outside."
Doing as he said, you begin closing up. Since all of your co workers already left, all you have to do is clean the bar and lock up. You spray the bar with disinfectant and grab a rag to start wiping it down.
Why did you agree to go to his place so easily? Not only do you not know if this is a hookup, you don't know this man! While usually that last argument would snap you into shape and make you decline his offer... He's a hero, you can trust him. Has a hero ever failed you? They always come to save the day. It would be weird if you didn't trust Hawks.
You throw the rag into a bin under the bar and rush outside, not wanting to be at work for a second longer. You lock the doors and turn around, Hawks is leaning against a car in the parking lot and waves you over. Your first question is why does he have a car if he can fly around? But you decide to keep that to yourself.
He opens the passenger door for you and you take a seat in his nice car. The seats are leather and there's holograms projected against the wind shield. He flips a switch and they turn off before you can really read them. He turns the car on with a button push and backs out of the parking spot without a word.
"So Hawks, wh-" He cuts you off swiftly.
"Call me Keigo."
You clear your throat and nod, "Alright Keigo." You look out of the window as he steadily picks up speed. "Was there any reason you came to our bar? Or was it just by chance?"
You paw at your damp hair, you got a little wet since it was still drizzling when you left the bar. You stroke your hands through your hair and then wipe them off on your pants. For some reason you start to feel uneasy and you glance towards Haw- Keigo.
He chuckles but it's not the same as before. It's not the chuckle that makes you want to laugh alongside him. It gives you a sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach. Before you can follow that train of thought any further, a hand on your thigh snaps you out of it.
He looks at you and squeezes at your flesh, "Must have been by chance little bird."
His hand massages your thigh and slowly trails upwards, making where he touches tingle. His hands are rough, certainly brushing your flesh.
Your face begins burning up with embarrassment and you quickly grab his hand, stopping him from continuing his flirtatious actions. "Uh, Keigo could you-"
You’re cut short when something sharp stabs at your neck, causing you to freeze up. It takes you a moment to process what has just happened. You bring a shaky hand up to your neck and grab hold of what's piercing your skin. You pull it out slowly and feel blood begin to trickle down your neck. You hold the item in front of your face with wide eyes, a long red feather dripping with a small amount of your blood.
You slowly turn your head towards Keigo and your heart begins to pound, but your eyes begin to droop. It suddenly becomes hard to control your movements, and you find yourself slumping in your seat, arms and legs going numb. You try willing your legs to move, your arms, something in your body to move or even twitch but it’s useless.
As your eyes begin to shut, you see a knowing smirk on Keigo’s face. The last thing you can register before you fall victim to sleep is,
“Sleep well my little birdy.”

Hiii! Can I request no.9 from the cliché prompts and fake dating au?
Making Amends
Abby Anderson x Reader
Prompts: 9. “There’s only one bed and we sleep as far away as possible from each other but wake up cuddling” 18. Fake dating au
Warnings: swearing, fluff, hint of angst, Owen and Mel slander (sry I had to)
No pronouns are mentioned for the reader
Link to the prompt list here
A/N: Both tropes are literally my favourite things ever and it was so fun to write so ty for requesting it. It ended up way longer than I intended so uhhh yeah hope you enjoy LOL (esp if you requested it)!!
“What the hell Abby?! Have you been telling people that we’re dating?” You had cornered Abby into a secluded hallway, trapping her against the wall with your finger on her chest accusingly.
There was a flicker of fear in Abby’s eyes as she chewed on her lip nervously. Abby was considerably stronger than you and you probably looked like a mouse trying to intimidate a lion, but you didn’t care.
Abby couldn’t meet your burning gaze, all she replied with was a prolonged “Uhhhhhh”.
“Abigail Anderson, answer me right now or I swear to God-” It was rare for you to whip out her full name. And maybe it was kind of a cheap move, but it was a cheap move that almost always worked.
“Fine!” Abby interrupted, letting out a short sigh and preparing herself for the worst. “I kind of told Owen we were dating and I'm pretty sure he’s been telling other people.”
She said the words as quickly as possible, closing her eyes like a bomb was about to go off. Your reaction wasn't far off to say the least.
“You what? Why the fuck would you tell him we’re dating?” There was venom in your words and Abby flinched just slightly.
You were angry, incredibly so. You and Abby have always been close friends, or more so you had been until she started dating Owen. At first it was small things; cancelling plans or leaving early because she was busy and you completely understood. It’s not like you didn’t want her to hang out with him, and obviously you wanted her to be happy, but eventually it got to a point where she hardly ever spoke to you. Aside from the occasional greetings in the busy stadium, it was like you guys had never even been friends.
Now, after completely ignoring you for the past months, she decided it was a good idea to tell people that you guys were dating? It only seemed right for you to be pissed off.
“I just... Everyone kept looking at me like some sad puppy dog because I broke up with Owen, which normally I can handle. But every single day I kept getting the same sad fucking looks and I couldn’t take it anymore, so I told them I was seeing someone. I never mentioned your name but they kept prying, and prying and you were the first person that popped into my mind. I’m really sorry Y/N.”
You didn’t say anything at first, instead you looked at Abby without a hint of emotion on your face, and even less in your tone when you did finally speak. “Why didn’t you tell me you guys broke up?”
Abby paused, she didn’t know what response she was expecting but it definitely wasn’t that. “I um, I figured you knew. Pretty much everyone in the stadium knows.”
“Yeah well… I didn’t.” You were quiet. A part of you was angry and annoyed, but another part of you pitied Abby. She had never been one to lie, especially about something as petty as this.
Before you could think of something to say, Abby broke the silence. “Listen, I know you probably hate me right now, but I need to ask you a small favour.”
“Seriously?” You nudged Abby’s chest, pushing her into the wall again. The pity quickly dissipated to nothing, leaving you once again with a seething rage.
“Look, I know things between us haven’t been ideal but-“
“Haven’t been ideal?!” You interrupted, the absolute ignorance in her words tipping you off the edge. “Abby, you threw me away like I was trash! We were friends and you left me to hang out with Owen. I didn’t even know you guys broke up because you don’t tell me shit anymore!”
“I’ll do anything Y/N, okay? I’ll do your laundry, clean your room, I’ll even take your shifts for patrols.” Abby’s hands were on your forearms as she spoke. “Please just do this one thing for me and I’ll spend the rest of my life paying you back.” There was sincerity in Abby’s face, a hint of desperation too.
You paused. What could Abby possibly want so badly that she’d be willing to do all this for you? Even though you were angry at her, you’d be lying if you said you weren’t just a little bit intrigued.
“I’ll do anything Y/N, please. There must be something that you want.” Abby pleaded, absolute seriousness in her eyes.
“What I want is to never see you again.” Your finger was pointed at her chest again, poking her lightly.
Immediately you could see the hurt on Abby’s face. Okay, maybe that was a little bit harsh (and kind of petty) but you weren’t just gonna let Abby off that easily. Not after everything she’s done.
“Fine…” Abby paused to contemplate her next words, wiping the sadness from her face. “Fine, after tonight if you do this thing for me, we’ll never have to see each other again, I promise. I just need you to come to this party with me. We don’t have to talk or hold hands or anything and you can spend the whole night hating me, but I just need you there.”
“I-“ You couldn't do that. You couldn’t just pretend and lie to all of Abby’s friends for a whole night… Could you?
“Please Y/N. It’s embarrassing, okay? When we broke up, Mel immediately jumped in to fill my space. Everyone knew it and I had to pretend like I didn’t care so people would stop treating me like a wounded animal. If they find out I lied about you? I don’t think they’ll ever stop seeing me that way.”
You looked at Abby and felt a tinge of sympathy, she looked so sad and desperate, and for a second you even considered it. One night couldn’t hurt, right? Wait, no.
You mentally slapped yourself, trying to snap yourself out of it. You were not going to give in that easily. Nope. This was Abby, the same girl who threw away your friendship like it was nothing, and you were not going to let her use you like this. Not even while she’s looking at you with those sad, blue eyes. Nope, you’re mad, you’re angry, you’re-
“Fine.” Fuck.
“Yes! Thank you, thank you, thank you.” Abby’s eyes lit up as she wrapped her arms around you, lifting you into the air while she let out a breath of relief.
What did you just get yourself into?
—
“I can sleep on the floor, it's really no problem.” Abby offered, there was a slight nervousness in her tone as she stood in front of you shifting her weight on the balls of her feet.
“Abby, that’s stupid. It’s not like I’m infected or something.” You huffed, reaching for the box of matches to light the candle next to you.
Sometime after the party there had been a power outage and the entire WLF base went lights out. Meaning there was no heat and most annoyingly, no lights.
After a night of uncomfortable looks and even more uncomfortable conversations in which you spent most of the party trying to avoid Abby’s friends, she was walking you back to your room when everything suddenly went dark.
The both of you practically crawled to your room before you could locate a light source of some kind. It had been an hour since the power went out and you insisted that Abby sleep in your room, for… safety purposes.
You shook the match till it was out, suddenly you were thankful for impulse buying those candles last week.
“It’s fine, I’ll just crawl halfway across the stadium until I find my room. No biggie.” You couldn’t tell if she was joking, but something in you felt like she would actually do it if you didn’t insist she stay here.
You sighed. “Just sleep here Abs, it’s easier and I’m offering. Plus, I don’t need you army crawling across the entire WLF base. It’s hard on the arms, even for someone as strong as you.”
“You think I’m strong?” Abby smiled teasingly and you couldn’t help but roll your eyes, looking away as you tried to hide the small grin on your face. God, it was hard to stay mad at Abby.
“Shut up and take the bed.” You could tell Abby was reluctant but she still plopped herself onto your bed. She sat awkwardly on the edge, unsure of how this was going to work.
You tried to ignore Abby’s weird energy as you buried yourself beneath the covers. It took a minute for her to actually lay down in the bed but when she did, she was careful to keep her distance. It was pretty funny (and pretty cute) how unsure she was.
After a few minutes of silence you heard Abby whisper your name softly, almost like she wasn’t sure if you could hear her.
Nuzzling your nose into your pillow you whispered back a small “Yeah?”.
“Thank you.” You could hear the genuity in Abby’s voice, how grateful she was for such a simple act and suddenly it hit you, you didn’t want her to leave you alone. You missed this—missed Abby.
Instead of responding you nudged her foot lightly with yours. It was something you guys had done as kids, like a silent way of saying “I’m here.”. Under the dinner table with the Fireflies or during training when you first joined the WLF; it was an unspoken thing between the both of you. An action that spoke much louder than words possibly could.
The both of you laid on opposite ends of the bed, your backs turned to each other. You shifted under the sheets before finally finding a comfortable position, you fell asleep that night to the steady sound of Abby’s breathing.
—
You were first to wake up, confusion washing over you when you felt your head rising and falling. Why the hell was your pillow moving? Then it hit you; it wasn’t the bed moving, it was Abby. Your head lay resting on Abby’s chest, her arm over your back while your limbs were wrapped around her like a giant stuffed animal. The sound of her beating heart was soft in your ears and you could feel her breath coming out in steady increments, blowing lightly against your head.
You weren’t sure what to do about your compromising position. It was already too late for you to leap out of her arms and a large part of you didn’t want to move anyways. So you decided to pretend to sleep until she woke up. That way you wouldn’t have to decide what to do, she would.
Abby woke up shortly after you, you could tell she was awake by the way her breath hitched in her throat upon noticing how you guys were situated. However, instead of jumping out of the bed in a panic, Abby didn’t move either, and it took everything in you to not open your eyes.
After a few moments of stillness, you almost thought she had fallen back asleep. It wasn’t until you felt a light touch on your temple that you realized she was awake. The touch so light you nearly missed it when Abby brushed a small strand of hair away from your face.
Then slowly, Abby pried you off of her and you nearly let a small groan slip from your lips when you felt the absence of her warmth. She gently rolled you over, covering you with the blanket before walking into the bathroom.
That’s when it happened: the ache. A sharp, jarring ache in your heart that you only felt with her— that you haven’t felt since the two of you were best friends. It had left you when you and Abby stopped talking, but it returned just the same when you witnessed the tenderness of her actions. You never thought to put a name to this feeling (and maybe a part of you didn’t want to), but it was near impossible to ignore it.
You couldn’t possibly be harbouring secret feelings for Abby, right? You tried to distract yourself from these thoughts, it was way too early to be worrying about these things.
Feigning tiredness you rolled off the bed and headed towards the bathroom. You knocked on the door and when Abby opened it you noticed she was in the process of redoing her braid.
You leaned against the doorway as you watched her skilled fingers work. “Abs?”
“Hm?” She replied as she tied off the end of her braid.
“I didn’t really mean what I said to you last night… about never wanting to see you again. I’m sorry.” You picked at your thumb anxiously, eyes wandering around the room, looking anywhere but at Abby.
Abby turned to face you, letting the braid fall to her side. “You don’t have to apologize Y/N, I deserve it. I didn’t even hesitate to leave you when Owen and I started dating, and I was-“
“Stupid?” You finished for her, looking up from the floor to meet Abby’s gaze.
“Stupid. And for what it's worth, I’ve really missed hanging out with you Y/N, even if it is under these circumstances.”
You know… I think I know a way you can make it up to me, if you’re still up for it?” Abby looked at you with a raised eyebrow and you noticed the corner of her mouth curling into a small smile.
“Oh yeah? What would that be?”
“You see, there’s this guy thats been trying to ask me out for weeks even though I keep rejecting him.” You gave Abby a tiny grin as you continued. “Well, maybe if he found out I was dating a certain soldier who could pound his ass into the ground, then he’d leave me alone.”
Abby nodded her head nonchalantly as she took a small step towards you, crossing her arms across her chest. “You know what’s crazy? I think I have just the person for you.”

HOW THE VINSMOKE BROTHERS REACT TO LOSING THEIR S/O BECAUSE OF THEIR FATHER!
Warning: Mad Angst, Lowkey long I got kinda a little to into these scenarios, mentions of death and torture, I cried and lowkey need to make a part two for fluff TT-TT
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ichiji Vinsmoke
You were missing from bed this morning, of course Ichiji was curious of it since you were practically 8 months pregnant but he thought you were just back in the kitchen cooking with Cosette again. You were a chef for the Germa Kingdom, the only reason he had met you was because Niji had thrown a plate of food at Cosette and you shielded her from it before striking Niji in a nerve and knocking him unconscious for over 36 hours. Since that day Ichiji had claimed you as his, his cute firecracker, and yet for some reason you were never enough for his father. You made his son human, which in turn made him weak, sooner or later you would’ve had to be dealt with. Judge had summoned him to the throne room to speak with him alone, with his shadow casting over the young red haired man he spoke with a cold heartless tone, “(Y/n) has been executed. She was taken down to the dungeons before daybreak, so you won’t find her.”, he turned to his son to make sure he emphasized his point, “She wasn’t good enough for you anyways.”
Ichiji felt his heart shatter, something he once never had, and felt his lips quiver at the news. Nothing held him back, so why?! Why didn’t he just kill his father where he stood! Judge had sent you to the dungeons to be executed, all because he deemed you unworthy of the Vinsmoke name. Ichiji’s fist ignited into flames as his rage boiled in his blood. He was always cold and collected but right at this moment he was afraid! Afraid and enraged, Ichiji left his father alone and stormed down to the dungeons. Memories of his days tormenting Sanji replayed in his mind causing his stomach to churn. The dungeons were for the weak, only the strong could laugh from the other side of the bars and unfortunately you were just a weak powerless human compared to the monsters that lived right by your side.
“(Y/n)! (Y/n) answer me! Answer me right now!”, Ichiji’s voice roared through the cold dark cells of the dungeon.
Soldiers in charge of the chambers emerged attempting to calm their leader but their skulls simply met the hard brick walls as he punched them. Flames flickered from his fists and feet with each of his movements, even without his raid suit Ichiji was a force to be reckoned with.
“(Y/n)!”, his screams were desperate at this point, his emotional heart couldn’t handle the stress of the situation anymore.
Then he saw it, in pure disbelief he threw his glasses to the side taking in the pale lifeless battered body that laid before his eyes. Everything stopped, y-you were gone. He was to late. Ichiji didn’t want to believe it not now, not ever, he raced to your side scooping your cold form into his arm and holding you tight almost mistaking his own body heat as yours in broken hope that you were still alive. He was heartbroken, as he stared down at your beautiful sleeping face his vision became blurry. He had lost it, he lost you, tears and screams of agony poured out of Ichiji’s body. He couldn’t handle this, not (Y/n), not you of all people. His wails became louder so much so that his siblings could hear him, even Judge who stared out over the sea with no regret to his decision could hear the heartbroken wails of his precious son. Ichiji’s raw emotions triggered his powers, his tears evaporated from the intense heat his body produced and like an inferno eating at a dry field his flames engulfed the dungeons setting fire to half of the Germa Kingdom. Even as your body seared to ash in his arms he held onto you desperately his wails becoming noiseless gasps until his brothers pulled him out of the flames and away from your ashes.
“(Y/n)! (Y/n)! (Y/n)!!!!!”, He screamed fighting against his brothers strength as soldiers rushed in to put out the flames.
Even if he showed weakness because of his heart Ichiji mourned your death, he couldn’t handle it anymore because every little thing reminded him of you. For a whole week he had locked himself in your old quarters and he wouldn’t budge...not until Reiju appeared with the only thing that would pull him out of mourning. She kicked the door open holding something small in her arms and sighed seeing her brother collapsed by your bedside.
“She’s gone Ichiji, get over it.”, Reiju growled.
“How do you expect me to do that? Tell me Reiju! Every woman I’ve ever seen was merely a toy of amusement for me until I met her! She reminded me what it meant to be human, how do you expect me to get over her!”, the red haired male growled grabbing his sister by the fabric collar until a soft cry caught his attention.
The sudden rough movement had awaken the slumbering (h/c) haired baby that rested in Reiju’s arms. Ichiji’s body trembled from shock and he once again collapsed to his knees. Reiju smiled and kneeled down in front of her younger brother carefully placing his child in his arms, “(Y/n) fought till the very end, I noticed them take her down to the dungeon and the stress from them beating her drove her body into labor. Father’s word was absolute to kill her but nothing was said about the baby. All she asked was that I took her.”, Reiju sighed tears of regret falling from her blue eyes.
This little baby girl, with Ichiji’s curly little eyebrows, and your sweet eyes, was all he had left of you and he wouldn’t let his father take her from him like he took you!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Niji Vinsmoke
That night you hadn’t returned to bed, after a heated argument about his cruel behavior towards the staff of the ship you had left Niji alone in his quarters. The young prince waited impatiently for you to return but after midnight struck the clock he decided that it would be best to go find you instead. It wasn’t your first fight but truly he let himself go, he said things that he regretted and sucking it up and apologizing to you only seemed fair. He called your name loudly, not caring about the others and their sleep since he needed to find you quickly.
“(Y/n)? Hey little brat come on, it’s late we can continue this argument tomorrow just come to bed.”, he sighed running his fingers through his blue hair in frustration.
He noticed several guards talking amongst themselves and decided to question them on your whereabouts. All the soldiers froze up once they felt the intense anger radiating off of their general, they quickly stood at attention greeting Niji as he glared down at all of them. He noticed your necklace hanging out of one of their pockets and quickly snatched it back as he began to interrogate the soldier.
“Where the hell did you get this? A piece of gravel like you shouldn’t have been able to get this close to (Y/n) in order to take it. Where did you get this?”, Niji growled electricity discharged from his body with each passing second.
The soldier stumbled over his words trembling in fear as he looked death in the face, “I-I’m sorry sir! I-I found it in the dungeons it’s from the most recent kill. I-I didn’t know this b-belonged to Ms. (L/n)!”, the soldier squeaked in fear as Niji’s electricity made all the lights in the hall pop, his body glowed a dim blue in the dark corridor as he stormed down to the dungeons. Something didn’t feel right, for once an unsettling itch was making Niji nervous. Why would you be in the dungeons of all places? His steps echoed the farther down he went, but the eerie silence of the dungeons made his stomach ache. Something wasn’t right.
“(Y/n)? Hey brat, where are you? Come on this is enough, it’s not funny, (Y/n)!”, Niji yelled, his voice broke as he called your name, “(Y/n), come on I’m sorry! I don’t hate you, I love you so come back.”
For the first time ever fear was coursing through his blood and he didn’t know what to do. Every call of your name drove him crazy, you didn’t respond no matter how loud he got. He searched every sell desperately for you but he couldn’t find a thing, he was clueless on your whereabouts until one of the many prisoners in the dungeons spoke up.
“Niji?”, the old man called quickly grabbing the young prince’s attention.
“Who the hell do you think your calli-“
“That’s the name the young lady was calling when they were beating her. Niji, at the top of her lungs, it was painful to have to hear her.”, the old man sighed tears falling from his eyes.
Niji’s arms reached for his tattered clothes slamming him against the bars as he demanded answers, “What girl? Where did they take her?”
“T-this young lady with short (h/c) hair. They took her to the torture chamber just down the hall!”
“Her hair wasn’t short! Liar!”, Niji growled.
“I-It was! Lord Judge cut her hair with his spear to show her how little she meant to the family. Then ordered her execution, I haven’t heard her voice for the last three hours.”, the man admitted crying in fear of being punished.
Niji released the man and ran as quickly as he could to the chambers, but the pool of blood was enough for him to understand your fate. He stared down at the pool in defeat and fell to his knees as his vision became blurry. Bloodied whips and clubs littered the floor but Niji couldn’t see a thing, he screamed in anguish to the situation. His heart couldn’t take this, his head was splitting to the very thought of your death. His sadness quickly turned into rage, it’s was his fault, his father was the cause of all of this! Using his powers he appeared in his father’s room in a mere matter of seconds, his electricity burning hotter then ever before.
“WHERE IS MY (Y/N)?!”, Niji roared ripping his goggles off so he could see his father properly.
Judge, completely unamused by his favorite son’s outburst, simply scoffed and returned to his paperwork. Having been ignore Niji slammed his fist into Judge’s desk scattering and burning the papers throughout the room. He glared up at his father and repeated his question, “Where is my (Y/n)?”
“Tossed out to sea, it’s not like she was alive anymore. By now she’s being digested by some stray seaking that found her battered corpse.”, Judge sighed in frustration, “It’s not like I would’ve considered someone like her eligible to be your wife. A prince shouldn’t bother with a mere nameless slave.”
Niji was heartbroken, tears that had been ready to fall from his eyes from the past 20 years had finally started to fall. He couldn’t see, not even an inch in front of him as he grieved your death. He was to late, he fought with you and made you leave and when you needed him most he wasn’t there for you.
“It was pathetic how desperately she called your name, she was to reliant on you, it made the torture so much easier when she finally gave up. Hopefully the next woman you fall in love with is more suitable to be a Vinsmoke.”, Judge sighed lifting his son by his collar and throwing him out of his room.
Niji was forced to stumble back to his room, no matter how much he called you you never returned to his side. You were gone, all because he was to late.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sanji Vinsmoke
“What happened to her? (Y/n)!”, Sanji yelled caressing your face as you slept.
Your body was covered in bruises and cuts from your recent fight with Niji, you had snuck onto the Germa ships to find Sanji and drag him back but unfortunately you had ran into one of his monster brothers. Reiju had stopped her beastly brother from killing you but you presence on the ship didn’t go unnoticed, Judge was now aware of you and he wasn’t happy. Reiju allowed you to stay in her room with Sanji but Judge had other plans for you.
“(Y/n) you idiot. You should’ve stayed with the others back on the Sunny.”, Sanji sighed holding your hand in his, you woke up seeing him softly kiss your knuckles.
“Takes an idiot to know one. Come back stupid, I miss you.”, you sighed turning to him.
Sanji frowned at you but he couldn’t help but smile seeing you awake. You were such a handful, always had been and always would be but that’s what he loved about you. He pressed a kiss to your forehead making you smile but once again you both forgot that you were prisoners to the family. Sanji carried you back to his room and kept you there by his side, you both softly whispered to each other declaring your love like children. Having you in his arms again made Sanji forget about his worries, all he needed was you and that’s all he wanted. Eventually sleep claimed you both but you both slept comfortably together sharing dreams that a promising future would hold. The next day Sanji was forced to meet Big Mom. He hoped that you’d be left alone in his quarters but hope was for fools, while he was gone one of the soldier’s had slipped a sleeping drug into your food and dragged you down to the dungeons.
“(Y/n), I’m back. Have you eaten I’ll make yo-(Y/n)? (Y/n)?!”, Sanji’s blood ran cold seeing you missing, you couldn’t move around with your injuries which meant someone had taken you. He raced through the halls of the ship searching for you desperately, not one soldier told him where you were but a feeling in his chest told him exactly where you were. His legs carried him to the dungeon chambers but he found himself unable to even open the door. Memories of the caged abuse he went through drove a cold sweat through his body, but he had to save you. He swallowed his fears and opened the door but his fears were realized when he heard your voice scream his name. He hurried, he rushed, as quickly as he could but he was seconds to late. With his father looming over your battered body Sanji was forced to watch the spear pierce through your back,
“S-sanji.”, you cried as the injury killed you instantly, your outstretched hand fell to the ground as you passed away.
“Why failures stick together I will never know, but at least there’s one less of you vermin.”, Judge growled pulling his spear from your corpse as he turned around to see his mortified son, “It’ll teach you better then to let fools get in the way of my goals.”
He simply scoffed at him and walked back up the stairs while Sanji fell to his knees just inches away from your body. “(Y-y/n)...(y/n).”, Sanji croaked holding the hand that you had been reaching for him with.
“(Y/n)!”, he screamed to no one in the cold depressing dungeon as he pulled your body towards his chest to hold you.
He sobbed into your hair, crying until his voice ran dry. Sanji couldn’t accept this, “Not like this, p-please not like this. Not her!”, he begged staring down at your bruised face that still looked like a beautiful Angel in his eyes.
“(Y/n) please don’t leave me. Not like this my dear.”, he whimpered pressing his forehead against yours.
This dungeon had caused him so much pain and now it was the place that had taken you from him. Why did life have to hate him so much? To be married off to a stranger, to be taken from his crew, and worst of all to lose the only woman he had wanted to marry. His family brought him nothing but agony, he cried until exhaustion forced him to sleep. Reiju was ordered to fetch him for dinner but the sight of her younger brother asleep against the wall while holding your dead corpse was enough to move her to tears. He truly did love you but now you were gone.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yonji Vinsmoke
From the start Yonji knew that his father hated your existence, but Yonji just couldn’t help it. He had fallen for you, the way his name rolled of your tongue and past your sweet soft lips made him crave your presence. The way you reached your small hands up to him to hold his face in your hands made his heart face, but your eyes, your beautiful passionate shimmering eyes made him fall head over heels for you. Even when he was disrespectful towards others Yonji would always keep an eye on you smiling when he saw you doing the simplest of tasks. The prince that loved a peasant what a cliche love story. Even if he was a genetically modified human in your eyes he was just him, and you were just the perfect normal little human girl.
“Prince Yonji I made cookies today. Would you lik-oh heehee.”, you giggled watching Yonji eat the cookie from your fingers.
His crumb covered lips pressed against your cheek making you smile, but your soft moment together was spoiled by the all to familiar scoff of Lord Judge. The tall giant glared down at you while you sheepishly smiled up and greeted him, Yonji scowled at his Father’s glare and wrapped his arm around your waist protectively.
“Keep moving old man.”, he growled much to Judge’s disgust.
Cosette called you back to the kitchen, you excused yourself hesitating to give Yonji a kiss in front of his father but the green haired man wouldn’t let you leave without a proper kiss. As soon as he got his kiss he let you go, your face flushed red and smiling as you returned to your duties.
“Why you bother with a failure like her irritates me, you deserve a princess not a dirty servant Yonji.”, Judge growled down to his youngest son.
Yonji scoffed in annoyance to his father and simply walked away leaving his father to his own complaints. Judge decided that if you were the one his son wanted then he’d modify you so that you were actually useful to the family. Every night you would come to find Yonji and kiss him goodnight, it was a ritual that he became dependent on but tonight you didn’t show up. Far past midnight sleep was finally beginning to take over his body but he tried to stay awake hoping that you’d just been busy with chores. He woke up angry the next day because of your absence and went to search for you to give you a piece of his mind but no one had seen you. You always presented yourself to work even if you were exhausted or sick meaning something had happened to you. Yonji growled under his breath knowing that his father had something to do with it. One of the doctors appeared before him asking for his presence in the dungeon chambers, Yonji didn’t want to bother with it but his father was waiting for him. Just entering the room he could hear torturous screams resonating from down below, his father must’ve been furious.
“What do you want old man?”
His father simply pointed into one of the screaming cages and smiled, “Now she’s worthy of you. A soldier ready to give her life for you.”, he chuckled.
That’s when Yonji saw it, his eyes widened in shock seeing your blood stained body killing a prisoner. You held the knife above your head ready to kill them but Yonji’s hand caught your wrist as he called your name. You responded but the look in your eyes was enough to tell him what had happened. Cold, lifeless, dead (e/c) eyes, looked into his there was no spark in them anymore.
“What did you do to her!?”, Yonji growled sending his mechanical arm right to his fathers face.
Judge was unimpressed by his son’s rage and pushed his hand away, “Simply made her worthy of you. An annoying woman like her wasn’t fit to be a love interest for one of my precious sons but with her genetic enhancements now she is. Surprisingly she was able to stay sane for about 7 hours before the electrical charges finally fried what little brain cells she had. The only sacrifice was her mental sanity, her emotions, and her heart. She’s the perfect little puppet now.”
Yonji’s face dropped to the news of your torture, he turned to your frozen form and kiss your lips hoping that you’d react, hoping that it wasn’t true but nothing happened. Your cheeks didn’t heat up, your eyes didn’t sparkle with love, you didn’t call his name sweetly, he lost you.
“REVERSE IT! REVERSE THE EFFECTS RIGHT NOW!”, Yonji ordered holding your head softly in his hands.
“She’d really die this time, if we bothered trying. This is how she stays if you want her by your side, once you’re tired of her dispose of her. She’s no longer human she’s just an empty shell.”
Yonji couldn’t believe it, he held you calling your name over and over until you responded but you never did. You never made a noise you were just silent. “N-no...(Y/n)...n-not like this. Please not like this come back to me.”, Yonji pleaded through his tears but from then on it would never be the same.

Being a part of the madness that adapted the name ‘Britpop’ was truly an experience. Paparazzi at every corner you turn, equipped with the brightest, flashiest cameras, also having the most annoying click noises to the point that after one image you’ve earned yourself a migraine that would last the entirety of the day; parties that would last entire nights, bearing millions of different kinds of drugs - some that hadn’t even been given a name yet, but you’d still give a try anyways, since you’re so high and drunk that you simply lose the intellectual capability to construct decisions, you say fuck it, and get so high to the point that you’ve blacked out in a booth in a bar, with the owner asking you to get out since you’ve been inside for one too many hours after closing time; as well as constant press coverage. With your name plastered over literally every newspaper and music magazine known to man, as well as having your entire life consistently dictated for the entire nation to read about every Sunday morning and indulge themselves into as a form of entertainment, it was what being famous delivered, right on your doorstep at 7 in the morning. Any earlier and you’d feel rude not to give them a cup of tea as a form of dignity and respect towards their sublime dedication to the job. Although it was fun being associated with it all, my band in particular gaining a different form of calidity due to it being a female fronted band, by the time that the entire nation was hooked on this ‘Blur vs. Oasis’ rivalry, it was as if every other britpop band had been washed away from existence, due to eight boys arguing as to whom had the better music. And the better looks, according to Liam Gallagher.
Tonight was the night of the Brit awards, perhaps the most prestigious awards ceremony for music. To be awarded a Brit was probably the largest achievement possible in British music in the form of an award, and it was definitely either going tonight to either Blur or Oasis. The chances that another band, say Pulp, were to get the award, would not only be extremely amusing to see the reactions of the two biggest names in the Britpop game, but would also cause the largest uproar in the nation. It’s either Blur or Oasis. “Their drama is so silly,” laughed Emily, the guitarist in our band whilst flicking through the latest edition of the Sun, the cover of the newspaper being, of course, Liam Gallagher. “They’re literally bickering about who looks the best. How do people find this interesting?”
“Because of how silly it is, people never leave their secondary-school-like selves. Just a bit of fun I guess.” I replied, fixing up my hair in the mirror in front of me. We were currently getting ready to go to the award show, and needing to look your best was an expectation. Though I wasn’t dressed in anything that would result in jaw’s dropping, it was important that I at least appeared somewhat admirable - the entire nation always had their eyes on us, but tonight they were going to see us all, live. Perhaps the reason why bands like Oasis and Blur are so obsessed over nowadays, since all they’ll do is turn up in some flimsy Adidas t-shirt and call that fashion. I suppose scruffy was the new elegant.
“Who do you think they’ll give the award to?” she questioned, still aimlessly flicking through the recycled pages of the magazine. “I think Oasis. Their music is so much better than Blurs.”
“Really? I’d say Blur. They won on top of the pops, so the likelihood of them winning the Brit award is highly likely,” I answered, shuffling away from the strong reflection of myself towards Emily, my eyes quickly scanning the page that she had her eye on currently. “Gosh Liam’s so full of himself.”
“He’s got his eye on you, you know,” She said, shoving the paragraph she had just read in my face of Liam boasting about his little crush he had supposedly gained from watching our latest performance on top of the pops. “Thinks you’re ‘well fit’.”
Scoffing in response, I mumbled back to Emily. “If he thinks that he’s sleeping with me, he’s very deluded.”
By the time we had arrived at the venue, you weren’t able to walk into the entrance without at least 50 cameras blinding your eyes and the shouts of so many begging for you to quickly turn your head and grin - the price for the photo would reach the many thousands. Once walking in, it was less crowded, only having select people by the ground floor, dedicated for musicians and bands, with the occasional interviewer walking past to every circled table, adorned with white cloth and champagne glasses, asking questions about how they’re feeling, who they think may win, and what they thought of the music throughout the past year. What was nice was that people didn’t have that much interaction with one another, just with their groups. It created a sense of formality in the space, which made me feel a bit at ease from the idea of some random row happening in the middle of the floor, most likely between Liam and Damon. The past year in music was truly something. Britpop was at its peak the entirety of the year, with songs like Parklife and Supersonic pouring out of every radio station in Britain that by the end of the year, you had ditched casual radio music and began blasting the classical station. It was a nightmare. Since the fall of grunge subsequent to Cobain’s death the previous year, the talk of any other genre in Britain apart from Britpop didn’t occur. It was as if we were living on this mystical island, miles away from any other music and culture, whilst adorning and obsessing over our own. What was nice about Britpop was that it was a pure celebration of English culture, whether it be a simple Sunday roast, or going to school, they all carried the same ambience of nostalgia and pride - also disregarding whichever band wrote what song.
“Free champagne… Yes please,” said Madeline, the secondary guitarist of the band, whilst heading to the first seat she could sit on, then quickly indulging herself with the first taste of the rich drink. “Oh my gosh it’s heavenly!”
Laughing at her reaction, the rest of the band took a seat around the table and took their first sips of the champagne, which we would all come to find to be indeed heavenly. Small talk was shared here and there with the rest of the group, but overall I stayed silent. In all honesty I found attending award shows was quite boring because if you didn’t end up getting an award, you would essentially be sitting there for two hours doing nothing. Even if you did win an award, it’s simply a minute of glory with the speakers blasting your music, and another minute of all eyes piercing into your soul as you make sentences about your gratitude towards those who had helped you along the way to earn such an achievement. I doubt anybody genuinely liked attending shows like these.
“The champagne is good, yet we don’t get enough for our table,” I complained, grasping my now empty champagne glass and waving it around in the air. “I’m gonna head to the bar to get a refill, anybody want anything?”
After receiving a handful of nos from the rest of the band, I took myself out of my seat and wandered over to the bar, which was empty, perhaps due to the venue not yet being completely filled with all the artists that were set to attend the night. “Just a refill of the champagne, please.” I asked politely, handing the bartender the used glass I had kept in my hand. Whilst waiting, I noticed that Damon was on the other side of the bar, who also didn’t notice me there, until he caught eyes with me.
A grin broke out on his face as I walked over to him. “You alright?” He asked me, quickly thanking the bartender for his drink and turning back to look at me. The height difference between us was evident, but it wasn’t the case of something so dramatic that he was the height of the empire state building and me, just a measly common tower in the city. He looked quite content, his hair scruffy yet neat, along with his outfit being just as I had assumed: a white shirt with jeans, a used pair of Adidas for shoes.
I smiled back at him and nodded. “Suppose you have high hopes for the award tonight.” I said, simultaneously receiving my refill of the beverage I had ordered, followed by my thanks. We stood adjacent, although there was enough distance between us to establish our relationship - mutual acquaintances whom had met every now and again, since they’ve both been dragged into this wormhole of madness. He was quite the opposite in comparison to his rivals, though he himself could be quite bothersome occasionally, he still had a grasp to what those may call sensibility.
“Oh well we’re better than them, aren’t we love?'' He chirped, his head now cocked to the side in a teasing manner. “I’ve heard that you’re rooting for us this year.” He added, a little smirk pasted on his face.
“Do you read every paper you see?” I questioned, my face turning away from him in slight embarrassment. Between us, there was no shared intention for a relationship to stem, though there was definitely a flirtatious tension that followed between us wherever we had met. Whether it be a random photoshoot for a magazine double-spread, or backstage at top of the pops, we always managed to share a chat with one another, and nothing else followed on from then. It was quite sad, because once you’ve established a connection between something you either both disagree or agree with in terms of societal views, something in the press, or life in general, you’re instantaneously cut off and asked to hop onto stage to record a meaningless three-minute performance with fake, plastic instruments which practically mean nothing.
“Well it was nice seeing someone else's face on the papers for once.” He replied, downing his drink, then ushering at the bartender for another. A thing that we both realised was that, between our conversations, we indirectly indicated that we were both there for each other, because we both had a complete understanding towards what may be happening to the other person. It was stressful being in the limelight constantly, and for someone who was the frontman of a band so large, with his face plastered on every magazine cover imaginable, things were bound to be stressful.
Sighing, I turned to face him again. Despite the fact that before I had the ability to respond, our conversation was cut short from a voice shouting my name from behind. “Well if it isn’t bloody Y/N.” the voice said, and from then I instantly knew it was Liam’s. Turning my face away from Damon’s, I locked eyes with Liam. As always, he was dressed in the usual: a parka, with casual jeans. Oh, and don’t forget the Adidas shoes. Even though he and Damon practically hated each other’s guts, they always seemed to have similar fashion senses, but I could never picture Damon in a parka. And I don’t think I even want to.
“How’ve you been love?” He asked, swinging his arm around my shoulder in a warm, but nonchalant manner. Me and Liam had a similar relationship to that of mine and Damons, simply just minusing the sentimentality of it. We were friends, and had come across each other at random parties, which opened the gateway for us to drink and get high together many a time. While he was quite the idiot, he was also a very fun guy to be around, but I knew Damon would never understand that. “And why’re you letting this twat chat to you?”
A laugh escaped Damon’s throat. “I think you’re the only twat here, Liam,” he began, a sigh leaving my mouth as I was trapped in a situation that I could only pray didn’t gain much traction from the rest of the attendees. “Me and Y/N are friends, don’t suppose we’re getting jealous are we?”
Liam’s grip on my shoulder tightened as I stared at his reaction to Damon. I felt quite small in this situation, due to me needing to tilt my head a good amount to properly look at Liam, and knowing if I left it would just erupt chaos and make it worse. “No need for me to be jealous when I know that she wouldn’t want to spend a minute with you in bed you bastard.”
“And you’re so sure about that are you?” Damon replied, amusement laced in his words. “Because you’ve totally spent a minute with her haven’t you?”
“Well I’ve got my arm around her haven’t I? And she’s not stopping me,” Liam argued back, a smirk entwined on his lips. Reaching for my hand, Liam grasped it lightly, then then brought it to his lips, kissing it, before holding it gently. Method of intimidation, perhaps, and though it was sweet, there was a time and place. And this was definitely neither the time, or place. “Who’s the jealous one now, eh?”
“The last I recall, she had hoped that we were winning this year, not you,” He boasted, moving the contents of his drink around whilst grasping it firmly. Whilst it would be something that would offend Liam, he was simply the type of person to not take criticism regardless of whomever it was coming from. I respected him for that. “So much so for a healthy relationship.” Damon mocked, staring into my eyes as a small laugh escaped my lips.
Granted that I had found the argument shared between the pair of them to be extremely silly, it was good entertainment as the time passed before the award show would begin. Watching them both, attempting to throw insults at one another, each one trying to cut a little deeper than the one previous, made me almost laugh at the both of them right there. “You know, it’s so silly that you both think you know me so well to think which one I’d pick from the both of you,” I said, detaching myself from Liam’s embrace and snatching my half-empty glass of champagne. “At this point, it’s neither of you.”
Walking back to my band’s designated table, I quietly took my seat as the show began. “Saw you chatting to Damon,” Emily whispered, raising her eyebrows. “Also saw you grinning like a madwoman.”
“Oh shut up you,” I replied, looking back at the bar to notice that both parties had left, assuming back to their places. “There’s nothing going on between me and Damon- Liam too in fact.”
~~~
As the ceremony went on, the boredom got to us. Even the amount of drinks I had didn’t entertain me, but what could we do, we were stuck in the middle of an award show celebrating music, even though I had largely doubted that the majority of those attending were enjoying themselves. I had no clue who the awards were going to be handed out to, and whether that somebody may be us in a category, but we all knew Blur were going to win something. Yes, Oasis had gained a lot of fame and had become one of the most famous bands in the music scene at the minute, but by the way things had gone for Blur after the release of Parklife, things only seemed to go further up from there. And that was only proven to be truthful, after Blur had left with four different awards.
After Blur had received their fourth award for best British group, we all knew that there was nothing left for Oasis. “They’ll get it all next year, they only debuted this year you know.” I said to the table, who were staring at the four smiley boys on stage as they trotted up to receive their award. I admired Damon as he said his speech, then also turning to look over at Liam, who looked quite evidently pissed off. He was practically drooling in anger from the sight brought to him at that particular moment, and I couldn’t blame him - their band hadn't gone home with one award that night, but neither had ours. “They’ve taken four awards home, isn’t that like, the most anybody has ever taken?”
“Indeed it is,” Madeline replied, taking a sip from her drink. “Must be a good year for them then, eh?”
As I watched the band leave the stage in absolute glee, I stared at Damon as he walked back to his designated seat for the short remainder of the evening. Despite the fact that my band had been sat in our seats the entire evening in complete boredom, just like Oasis and so many other acts that had been nominated for pointless awards, it would be a lie to say that I wasn’t proud of how far Blur as a whole had come and evolved through their music, and especially Damon. From beginning as young, bowl-cut boys only charting so far on top of the pops, to creating songs and melodies that could unite our entire nation, it was impressive.
Damon was the face of Britain at this very moment, and a very good looking one. Once I watched him sit down, he scanned the room for a while until he was able to find where I was sitting, which was parallel to his seat, merely a couple metres away. He connected eyes with me as soon as he found me, also accompanied with a small smirk painted on his expression as he raised his eyebrows and sent me a wink. I simply smiled back at him in response before turning away abruptly, disrupting the little moment we seemingly shared, and though I felt my heart flutter a little, he’s definitely not winning me that easily.
