"I am fine." Fenris is quick to say before she can fuss over him. He realizes he doesn't seem fine but he has far worse before and he'd been just fine.

Granted, they should probably stop to take care of this injury at some point. However, he wants to keep going and ignore the injury until he has no other choice. It's not the right place to stop. They can stop when it's safe.

How to get into F1, like where to watch it does it need a subscription service (I am a victim of Instagram racing reels) 😴

Hi, so I’m really outing myself here, I got into F1 because of a Charles Leclerc edit about a year and a few months ago. I spent maybe two-ish months only caring about edits but then I actually started watching the races and learning about it.

I’m not sure where you’re from but I’m in the U.S., so everything for me is on ESPN or ESPN2.

I really learned a lot about the sport from just watching the Free Practice Sessions and Qualifying instead of just the races because the commentators cover a lot. There’s also a lot of different accounts on IG that aren’t just edit accounts, or some that do both. I’m most definitely still a “victim” of the Max Verstappen and Charles Leclerc edit doom scrolling though.

Darkness was the only thing dominating the basement of the abandoned Manor. Monsters of various forms had slowly begun infesting the catacombs and rendering the place uninhabitable. Uninhabitable, at least, for mortals... The once luxurious mansion had now become known for its haunting noises and the fodder-house of every horrific folklore around Gaia. Only two individuals had been permitted to enter it since it had been shut down-- namely the esteemed Sephiroth and his SOLDIER companion. However, something had gone wrong. Sephiroth had locked himself away in the manor for several days, pouring over countless books to discover the truth behind his past. The turmoil and confusion was slowly turning into madness, and no one but Sephiroth was present to witness it this gradual yet deadly transformation. Or so it was assumed.... Locked within the confines of an old storage room, another individual was fighting his own mental battle. Tormented by nightmares and the inability to truly find rest, a young man sat up within an open casket; a veil of raven locks obscuring the down-turned expression. The room was pitch-black, yet the gunslinger cared little for illuminating the room. Try as he might, the feeling in his chest did not subside. Instead, it was getting stronger. Was it the nightmare? No... it was coming from somewhere outside the chamber. A darkness that was concentrating within an entity... a person. Shifting from his place and slowly stepping out of the coffin, Vincent unlatched the door of the room, allowing a faint cold glow to pour through the room. Someone was close by. And it was no ordinary mortal. It had the aura of a monster. But this wasn't the same dark aura that came from the various pests that roamed the area, such as the Dranabarga or Yin and Yang. This monster was different. As if being called, Vincent made his way towards the lab where he could see a flicker of light bouncing off of some adjacent furniture, indicating someone was inside the library. As he drew closer, the dark aura grew stronger. Someone was laughing... a low sinister laughter. A tall man with long silver-hair stood bent over the mahogany table. The candle-lights seemed to tremble whenever the man moved. His very voice caused a chilling echo to travel down the hall-way, traveling in the direction of his looming shadow. Vincent's eyes widened, his single glowing eye seemingly becoming more intense. He knew him.

Gatherings such as this are always amusing to Mr Loki Laufeyson – more so if they are among people unknown to him. The man is undeniably striking; tall, raven-haired, lithe, strong – there is always admiration of his natural assets, and he soaks it up like a sponge. Even when word inevitably gets around that he is but a second (adopted) son, and therefore does not stand to inherit the vast Odinson fortune, strangers still curry his favour as if he were some sort of god.

Tonight is no different; dressed immaculately in expensive green silk, Loki holds court with a small group of admirers who hang on his every word. The gentlemen clasp his hand, and offer him cigars, and the ladies silently eye his figure and finger their dance cards meaningfully. He charms with smooth smiles, entertains with small sleight of hand tricks, and regales with tales of his home country. Everyone is playing their part to perfection.

The band strikes a chord, signalling to guests that the dancing will commence soon, and Loki remains in his seat, cruelly watching the light of hope diminish in ladies’ eyes as they conclude he does not intend to dance. The other young men leap at the opportunity to accompany them instead, and there is a brief clamour as those intending to dance pair off and make their way across to the adjoining room. 

It’s laughably easy for Loki to slip away in the chaos. He skirts the edges of the room, heading for the far wall and the pretty little thing beside the window who caught his eye. Dressed tastefully in cerulean blue, the young woman has been observing the room's occupants since he first spotted her, making the gentleman undeniably curious. They haven’t been formally introduced, but that kind of minor scandal has never bothered Loki, so he approaches with his hand held out towards her, and an offer on his lips: “Would you care to dance?”

Persephone had been thinking a lot lately. About her birth parents. She always does, of course. She misses them. Of course she would. They were her parents and she loved them. As much as she loves and appreciates her adoptive parents, she still does miss her birth parents. And sometimes she wonders what they would've done or said about her life now. But maybe that's okay. "Looking backwards might be the only way to move forward." She muses, out loud. Really just verbalizing her thoughts.

Then she notices the stranger. "Oh, sorry. Just thinking out loud. I do that sometimes." She apologizes, a small smile crossing her face.

[ HOLD ]: as soon as the receiver opens the door and realizes the sender is there, sender wordlessly opens their arms out, and gives the receiver a warm, sorely needed hug.

The door slammed shut before Seto had an opportunity to say anything more. It was rare for the brothers to fight, and even rarer for them to end this way. They usually stopped being angry halfway through, apologizing and making up. This time, however, the fight had been particularly bad: Mokuba had struggled to contain his anger, and Seto had refused to hear anything that he said since he 'wasn't being reasonable'.

Mokuba didn't care if he was being reasonable or not. He was just angry, and Seto was making it feel like his feelings didn't matter at all.

The first thing Mokuba does when he gets to his bedroom is cry into his pillows. He stays like this for a while before covering himself with a blanket, depressed and sad. It takes two hours for the anger to subside, only to leave regret in Mokuba's heart. He'd gone too far, said too much. Maybe that was true of Seto as well, but the younger Kaiba had also refused to admit to it, had he not?

That's when finally Mokuba leaves his room, although only after cleaning himself up so he didn't look as affected as he had actually been. He walks to Seto's room, ready to apologize and make up, but doesn't find his brother there. Moving to the study, he finds he's not there either.

After a thorough search of the whole mansion, Mokuba realizes Seto left the mansion, and his heart drops in his chest. His sadness comes back full force, only reinforced by the fact Seto hadn't called or even sent a single message during his time away, however long it was.

Tugging on the housekeeper's sleeve, he asks, "Have you seen Seto?" and she shakes her head, looking both confused and sorry for Mokuba.

Ugh, his eyes are probably still red.

Mokuba paces back and forth in the main hall of the mansion for almost half an hour, staring at his phone, worried and concerned for his brother. Seto wasn't the type to just up and leave without a word like that— although it could also be argued that they rarely ever had fights this intense in the first place. But if only he knew where his brother went, where he decided to sulk or if he went back to the KaibaCorp tower or if he decided to take it out on arcade games, he wouldn't have to worry so damn much!

Knock, knock.

Mokuba stops instantly, eyes wide and heart full of hope. He rushes to the door, quickly unlocking it and forcing it open without even considering the fact Seto would not even have to knock if he were to ever come home. He had the keys, after all. By the time the thought is conjured in Mokuba's mind, he's already opened the door.

He drops his phone and a horrified gasp leaves his throat.

It's not Seto standing in front of him— it's a boy. A boy his age, a boy he knows so very well!

A boy that should not be there!

"Y...You..."

Mokuba barely gets a chance to register what's happening before the boy opens his arms, wrapping them securely around him, pulling him into an unnaturally tight hug. The younger Kaiba's far too confused to react, and doesn't return the gesture just yet, eyes wide and heart racing in confusion, panic, fear. From the corner of his eye, he can make out a strand of familiar teal hair.

What's going on? Is this some kind of cruel hallucination his mind's somehow conjured because he felt lonely? It had to be, right?
