Buck allowing Tommy to address him as Evan is a gesture of trust and intimacy, displaying his desire to build a personal relationship with Tommy. I feel like a lot of those who advocate for that other ship knows this and fear such an idea. That’s why they’re constantly pushing the narrative that calling Buck "Evan" is disrespectful or that no one should use his given name. Ever. In an attempt to erase whatever intimacy the two of them share with one another. I can dive into how I think this plays heavily into the willful ignorance that group has as a unit while also bringing attention to the overall Infantilization of Buck as a character, but I don’t really see the point. Anyways, this might shake a few of you to your core, but Buck is still Evan, and Evan is still Buck; he simply doesn't allow others to address him as the former.

The Untamed doesn't have all that many of the chengxian book moments because it was focused alot more on getting around the wangxian censorship (by giving the teen chengxian relationship to wangxian) but it did make its own, and for that i am grateful. Most of my love for The Untamed lies in the fact that it was the first adaptation I saw and I like their faces.

If [f/o]s gentle encourgement isn't enough to get you to tackle the task on your own, they're glad to help as much as you need them to- they'll turn on the water to your preferred temperature, help you undress, hold your hand to keep you steady when you step over the lip of the tub, wash your hair for you, gently scrub down wherever you're comfortable with them touching, make sure all the soap is rinsed off, gently dry you off with a fresh, soft towel, and help you get dressed in clean, sensory-friendly clothes....

Some people don't get the dark part in "dark fantasy", I don't condone the nasty things my characters did or might do just because I write about them.

I think it's strange that people can read something and feel like the author is okay with it when in no instance in the story do characters go "yeah this is definitely the morally and ethically correct thing to do."

I like that my characters make people question things or make them feel emotions. Nowhere did I ever advertise them as being saints and perfect and normal. I call them crazy and lunatics all the time, I have enough self-awareness to understand they're not well-adjusted humans.

People need to look around at literature and see that not everyone writes nice normal things, and if that isn't your cup of tea then you are completely valid and do not have to read them or engage with them.

Simply don't come into my inbox and call me names for writing some nasty idiots.

The other officer next to her doesn’t seem to know where to look; Buck sees him desperately pretend to be interested in the one solitary picture Eddie has hanging on his wall, like their family trip to the zoo is pertinent to the matter at hand. “I don’t suppose anyone knows about this,” Athena says.

It’s not a question, but Buck is also currently wang-out in front of his boss’s wife, so he has enough self-preservation not to get caught on semantics, now. “Uh, no ma’am.”

The other officer is now almost nose-to-nose to the picture with the force of his feigned ignorance. Athena just looks grieved. “Why, then,” she says, “did you get military-grade handcuffs? Were the pink fuzzy ones not macho enough for you?”

Her tone drips with derision. She’s absolutely going home to tell Bobby all about this. “We kept, uh, breaking the pink fuzzy ones,” Eddie admits, and then, “Buck, don’t preen.”

“I’m not preening,” Buck says, probably definitely preening, but like it’s his fault, okay? It’s good to know the bicep curls are working. “Look, we’re two big firefighters. Those flimsy sex store handcuffs weren’t gonna hold us.”
