First things first, in general, I believe that they would understand that you aren’t the same person from their Universe, however, this wouldn’t excuse the fact that every time they see your face they are thrown back to your relationship back in their world, which to say the least is not the best.

⋆⋅☆Riddle

There would be no doubt that he would dislike you intensely. Moreover, the fact that this Riddle would be even worse than the pre-overblot Riddle in the NV would put you in a difficult position.

The first time he spots you, he would be blinded by rage and probably try to behead you. Fortunately, Trey and Cater quickly save you, taking you as far away as possible from Tyrant Riddle.

He will do anything to find you, and he will have no tolerance for your actions. At the slightest inconvenience you cause, he will be right behind you, ready to tell you how much of an annoyance you are.

But you catch on to his game pretty quickly, so you counter him by being the very definition of perfection. You make sure not to break a single rule and set an example for everyone around you, and by the Sevens, that only makes him even angrier.

But is he really angry? He can’t deny that he feels slightly impressed. Among everyone else at this strange college, you are the only one who comes close to reaching the level of perfection he demands.

Slowly, he finds himself growing fonder of you. He starts thinking about bringing you back with him once he finds a way to return to his universe. You’d fit perfectly in the castle with him, and he’s certain his mother would have approved of you.

⋆⋅☆Leona

When it comes to Leona, he is more annoyed with the NV version of you than anything else. After all, you were always pestering him about being lazy and irresponsible. He had been plotting to have you exiled once he took the throne by killing his brother.

So, the first time he spots you, he's ready to turn around and leave, not wanting to hear your nagging. But that doesn’t happen. You speak to him as if he were a normal person, with no harsh words, and even smile at him when you finish talking.

Is he seeing things? Why are you so different in this universe? And why is he enjoying this new kind of attention so much?

Yet, he remains rude, constantly sending glares your way. He firmly believes you're trying to trick him into something malicious.

Still, you bring him lunch and talk about your day. You are strangely kind, something he never thought he would experience, especially from you. You are the first person ever to treat him like this.

Slowly, something starts to shift inside him. Your attention becomes something he craves, and he starts becoming obsessed, to the point where he checks if you give the same treatment to others.

And if you do, he makes sure they are out of the picture the next time you look for them. He will ensure that you have only him to turn to, to talk about your day, and to give your full attention.

⋆⋅☆Azul

OH NO! He’s had enough of your antics ruining his business! Azul puts up a sign with your face and a red cross over it in front of the Monster Lounge. YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED IN!

Floyd and Jade find this absolutely hilarious and watch as you stroll into the Monster Lounge without a care in the world. (You’re literally that meme: "This sign won’t stop me, because I can’t read.") They don’t even try to stop you, they’re far too entertained by the thought of seeing how this new Azul will react to the chaos.

Let’s just say that Azul quickly learns the hard way that you aren’t here to ruin his business. Instead, you seem determined to ruin his reputation by being overly affectionate and making him squirm with your sweet words in front of all his clients, no less.

He tries to distance himself, avoiding your gaze and setting boundaries, but you keep coming back. In that, you remind him of the version of you from his own universe.

And for some reason, he finds that persistence very attractive. He can’t deny that, before you decided to ruin his business, he used to have a slight crush on you back then.

But now, you aren’t trying to ruin his business. Quite the contrary, you’re a magnet for attention, constantly drawing more customers to the Mostro Lounge.

Slowly, Azul starts losing himself in this fantasy: you and him, together, expanding his business. But at a certain point, he realizes he’s thinking more about you than the money the two of you could make.

He becomes determined to keep you by his side, even if his business suffers because of it. If all it takes to have you is tarnishing a bit of his reputation, then he’s willing to do it.

⋆⋅☆Jamil

By the Seven, he was already annoyed that Kalim was here, but you too? This was about to be the worst day of his life, two incredibly annoying people threatening to ruin his plans.

He keeps his distance, but when you spot him, he’s about to tell you to go find someone else to bother. Then, you say something completely unexpected: you’re actually annoyed by Kalim’s antics.

You? Annoyed? At Kalim?

He’s taken aback. In his universe, you and Kalim were inseparable friends, always together. But the you from this place is actually bothered by him? He doesn’t even need to know why you’re annoyed. Just the fact that someone finally agrees with him about Kalim makes him incredibly happy.

He enjoys it when you come to him with your frustrations. Whether you’re irritated by Kalim’s constant gifts or his endless parties in your honor, because you feel overwhelmed, Jamil is always there to listen. He savors your complaints, and he’s quick to add his own criticisms about Kalim, which only deepens your dislike for him.

As time goes on, you start finding comfort in Jamil’s presence. His understanding and validation make him seem like a refuge from the chaos that Kalim brings. You begin to rely on him more, and Jamil can’t help but enjoy how your dislike for Kalim boosts his own ego.

Jamil starts subtly shaping your view of Kalim. By reinforcing your negative feelings and positioning himself as your only true ally, he ensures that you depend on him more. He carefully creates situations where he appears better compared to Kalim, making himself seem like the perfect match for you.

Jamil feeds off your growing dislike for Kalim. Your negative feelings towards Kalim seem to boost his ego, and he finds himself loving your voice even more.

You deserve someone who truly understands you, and Jamil believes he’s that person. He’s confident that he’d be the perfect match for you.

There you are, Neige’s number one fan. He doesn’t even look in your direction, you aren’t worth it. Shouldn’t you be with him, guarding him like the lapdog you are?

Vil has to admit that at least you seem more elegant here. You look more relaxed and gentle, but maybe you were always like that back then. Perhaps he was just too focused on Neige to notice you.

Or maybe this version of you from this universe is simply sweeter and kinder. Perhaps here, you don’t make Neige your whole identity and actually treat Vil like a person rather than just competition for Neige.

Vil is intrigued, he finds you interesting, even. There’s a charm to you that brings him comfort. When he learns that you’re not that close to Neige here, he finds himself feeling pleased. And when you tell him that you find him “oh so much more beautiful,” he realizes that you might not be so bad after all.

Then he becomes attentive to your habits, your likes and dislikes, he memorizes every time you express any small detail about yourself only to use these as a way to create more opportunities to be closer to you. He brings up things you’ve mentioned in passing, showing how attentive he is to your likes and dislikes. His compliments become more personal, always tied to something he knows you value.

He loves especially when you talk so sweetly about him, or when he overhears you telling others how beautiful you think he is.

So whenever you mention Neige in a good way he becomes jealous, you should be exclusively devoted to him, he should be the only thing that crosses your mind and he was to make sure you only see him as your number one option.

He’s determined to make you see him as your everything, and he’ll stop at nothing to ensure that you’re his, completely and utterly.

Howver the idea of you laughing, scheming, or enjoying yourself with anyone else starts to eat away at him. He starts sabotaging your interactions with others, asking for Ortho’s help to keep Ace busy with other things, making sure you spend more time with him.

He starts sending Ortho on missions to monitor your every move, always keeping tabs on who you’re with and what you’re doing. If anyone tries to get too close to you, they mysteriously vanish from the scene, often without you even noticing.

Everything feels so perfect when the two of you are together, you don’t need anyone else just like he doesn’t need anyone else.

Poor Malleus had been treated badly by his crush back in his universe. You never answered the letters he sent, and he had heard that all the little trinkets and flowers were returned because you didn’t want any of them.

So when this version of you from this strange new place treats him with such devotion, such kindness, and accepts his small gifts, even inviting him to spend time with you, he can hardly believe what’s happening.

This was essentially a dream come true for him. He wonders if it had been you he sent all those letters to, whether you would have written him back with the same excitement.

Why, then, hadn’t this lovely and perfect version of you been the one in his universe? Why was he the one left unloved in his world?

He wants to take you with him. Surely, you love him, you wouldn’t be angry if he took you back to his castle. The two of you could finally do all the things he had dreamed about while gazing lovingly at the flowers he once sent you.

After all, why else would you shower him with such kindness? Why else would you invite him to spend time with you? You must love him too.

You notice she tends to get owl-themed ones, especially when they're made of similar material to her comfier clothes

Looking at them becomes almost as soothing as meditating

Ideally somewhere out of Inanna's reach. You both know she probably doesn't care that much but neither of you wants to find out how quickly she could rip one to shreds if she felt like playing

He does find that they're very soothing to hold and squeeze sometimes, especially after a taxing day

He'll come inside and carefully wash his hands before sitting by the fire with one, idly smoothing his massive fingers over it if he accidentally squeezes too hard

If you charge one full of your cuddles and hand it to him to keep him company while you're gone, he'll turn bright red and sweat

No, I haven't seen that Reddit post--I don't have a Reddit account (anymore) and even when I do visit it's not the fandom side of Reddit. But from what you're saying (and what I've seen from other Chisaki fans' reactions) it's probably a good thing that I haven't seen it, because it sounds like the sort of thing that would make me incredibly pissed off for far too long. Anger issues kinda suck sometimes, especially when you can't find a good outlet.

Real. Some people are so fucking quick to thirst over torturing and dehumanizing people when they've done something to "deserve" it. Like--I really shouldn't use this to judge what their stance is on things like prison abolition IRL, but the way they react to this--the way they judge this--does not give me any hope for them. Folks, we are not making it out of the punitive-justice prison-industrial complex or ableism with this.

what do u think wld have been a better ending for him?

That's hard, especially since I haven't read the manga or watched the anime past like halfway through Gentle Criminal's arc, but I think probably a better ending--that would have fit better with BnHA's professed theme of "saving everyone"--would have been to show him clean-shaven, somewhat more mentally stable, with a sympathetic doctor or parole officer or pro hero there with him to talk about options for the next step in his life. Maybe mention something about how Pops is doing well, but Chisaki doesn't want to see him anymore now that he's awake. Something that shows Chisaki not as just the narrative's punching bag or as a tragedy but as someone who, yes, hit rock bottom, but is now committed to the long path of healing. Especially if we see him smile in the end.

Rivers is a Vampire- Sonic would dance fight Shadow to this song (like in the original puss in boots, look up the scene I swear it's great).

Loose Cannon- it's both so Shadow and Sonic coded but it's funnier if it's Shadow realizing he likes Sonic. More likely it's supposed to be Sonic @ Shadow and it really fits. 10/10 putting it on my personal playlists.

Genius - this is Sonic having a jam sesh in his bedroom. 7.5/10 very in character, you're going to make me start liking rock music.

Assassin- 9/10 Shadow in his emo boy bag. The verses feel like Shadow in his head thinking he's hot shit (he's right), but the chorus feels like Rouge trying to talk him down. Overall big fan.

Lost- Honestly really love the vibes of this one. It sounds like Sonic and Hoax fighting/ talking or just Sonic debating with himself. Love the jaunty music with the sinister undertones.Fading World- 7/10(<- could be higher depending on personal taste) A nice interplay between Sonic's cheery friendliness and Shadow's.... everything. A nice world building song if that makes sense. If vamp au! were a level in a game this would play.

Moon Trance- A vampire nobility song if that makes sense. Kinda gives off Blaze if Sonic were dropping in with EDM beats. World building song.

Phantom of the Opera Overture- Shadow once again in his emo bag. Listening to this I imagine him dramatically posed as Ophelia in the river as Rouge looks on utterly unimpressed. Another world building song.

Dear Wormwood- 10/10 Devastating. This feels like when Shadow discovers Rogue is a vampire (if that's still canon?) and could work for the Sonic/Hoax reveal but to a much lesser extent.

Galacta Knight Theme- 5/10. Not bad but I'm not entirely sure how it fits. Feels like a world building song but lacks the rock and goth roots of its predecessors. I wanna say it feels like an Eggman song?

Trouble- Rouge song very fun (Shadow if you get a microscope). Good for a chase scene or playful fight.

Look What You Made Me Do Remix- Shadow after Sonic sneaks an extra sip of blood. 8/10 Shadow wouldn't be a Swiftie but he would bop to a song or two.

Bodies- GODDDDD 10/10. Shadow tracking a vampire to a party in his vulture outfit and having to maneuver his way to stealthily kill them (can't remember clearly if Shadow's actively a vampire hunter in the au rn but you get the vibe /pos).

Vampire Culture- like I said before Shadow being a hater /pos. Somebody get this boy a weighted blanket he needs to chill 8/10. I imagine he plays this as he puts on each vampire repellent stud and piercing.

The Magic 8- A very Sonic song in message but also Amy with the talk of magic. Funky duet? They'd probably sing this at Shadow 9/10.

Who's in Control- 10/10 Another Sonic/ Hoax talking song (I interpret their dynamic to be that Hoax has less inhibitions than Sonic and is overall allowed to be looser. hopefully that's close).

Why Do I- Sonic after Shadow realizes he's Hoax and they have a falling out. It feels do very Teen Beach Movie /pos. He'd get a whole musical number with backup dancers and rad sad choreography.

Blood Red Moon- World building song. Funnily enough I think you'd introduce Shadow with it. Dark foggy night, random vamp running away/ person being attacked by one, cut to Shadow standing ominously with a lightning strike for good measure. Lowkey has cowboy vibes.

Born of a Star- Feels like a happy future. The type of track that would play towards the end of a boss fight.

Drumming Song- 8/10. Very much an Amy song I like it a lot plenty of witchy vibes. Feels like it would play when she performs a powerful spell/ ritual (not sure exactly how her magic works). The chorus especially also sounds like Shadow describing the effect Hoax has on him :).

You've Created a Monster- Shadow. That's the review. This plays during a hunt or just during his morning routine. Just goofy enough to hide the emotional turmoil but serious enough to show his issues 8/10.

This is Why- Shadow whenever he sees Hoax. He's his biggest hater. Also Shadow at his job with Knuckles (he's about to punch someone's teeth in).

Figure 8- Sad Shadow hours. Probably around the time he just met Hoax and made the deal. Sounds like he's questioning his whole identity :(.

Shoot to Kill- 6/10 World building song. It's giving gathering of elders in the vampire kingdom.

Punching Bag- I've been associating the Set it Off songs with Sonic so far so at first I was thrown for a loop, but honestly? I can see him singing this after someone (Shadow) tries to kill him. It can also be a Shadow song but I find the Sonic angle very interesting.

Vampire- 9/10. ROUGE SONG. She's about to rob a man, GOOD FOR WOMEN.

Sirens- Not sure exactly this would apply to but very fun. Sounds like Shadow falling in love in a very overdramatic way but could also be Sonic. 8/10

Hi 👋🏼 so I heard the rest of the album and wanted to share my opinion.

So I have listened to it one time but so far I have loved most of the songs.

There are songs that started great but ended up being disappointing and others that I think should have been kept in a drawer. But I can say that my favourite is fortnight. I don’t know why but it actually stuck with me for some reason and fresh out of the slammer.

Now, I am going to share my insight into this album and you can agree to disagree but I hope we can all be civil when discussing because we are all mature adults here. And again this is my impression. And if I am not making sense please say so and I’ll try and explain myself better. English is not my first language and so I can sometimes say stuff that don’t translate well into words.

The first thing I noticed about the album is that there were no love songs on it but it was also not a breakup album.

I think the biggest theme of the album was “ I am lost”

Taylors entire life has always been mapped out. And even when she ventures off and did things differently that was also planned because everything was a theme. When people say she changes her self to fit her “boyfriends” image they are not wrong but they are also not completely right. I think a part of it comes down to finding herself which she probably never had the chance to considering how she consumes her self with the music and the industry.

My theory is that when she met Joe she found the escape she needed and a new place to explore far away from the media. But that didn’t satisfy her, because deep down she doesn’t know who she is away from the light. And thats the insecurity we see in lover. The. Locked down happened and again she was lost musically and romantically but with songwriting she thought she can fill in the wholes in the relationship but I don’t think that satisfied him and so he didn’t want to continue. Which made a bigger gap

With midnights, for me at least, it sounded like she was going back through her life to try and figure out who she was and how did she get there. I think there was a lot of questions about herself she was trying to answer. So when she and Joe broke up it added to doubt she had about herself and that why we got TTPD.

The reason we didn’t get alot of Joe songs is not because she loved Matty more or she wanted him more but because she her self was struggling, it was not just a rebound but it was an experiment. From what I heard in the swings no one in her circle understood the appeal but were playing along because of what she was going through. And it was not just the break up but being back in the spot light like that.

To me it felt like she was not saying fuck you all the fans and people around her with the relationship but more of “ I need this so let me be”. Like she was trying to prove something to herself.

The most interesting song to me was So High school, because it does seem to be about Travis, but it sounded like he is just convenient more than a love affair. She also doesnt understand him or finds him interesting and sees his world as juvenile but it’s safe to stay in for a little while

The song I Can Do It With A Broken Heart is not about heart break but about struggling with fame. I can’t explain why but that’s how the lyrics played to me.

I don’t think she is happy in her life outside her music and songwriting. Again I think she is lost and she is trying to cop with a lot of sad emotions.

Anyway, I just wanted share my thoughts because I have no where to put these thought😂

It’s both relieving and heart-breaking to see a child star grow up to realise that they have been moulded to be who they are by their elders and the industry. Her anger and confusion at this is so understandable and well over due.

I agree with you when you say, “deep down she doesn’t know who she is away from the light”.

I also agree with your interpretation of So High School. From The relationship being portrayed in this song sounds quite superficial/surface level. Especially when you compare it to the way she writes about her other muses.

At the end of the day, Taylor Swift is midnight rain; she is ever changing. I can imagine this would leave her in a state of constant confusion.

Spoilers ahead:

So, the main novel is 551 chapters long. It has a Really painful final arc (which is called "epilogue" but dont be fooled, it's not an epilogue by normal standards. It's the crucial final arc of the story).

Then, the ending is hopeful, i want to say positive, but the thing is that the authors don't really show you the happy ending, they take you right at the door of it, let the characters have a glimpse of it, and the reader is left to imagine it themselves. This is very deliberate on the authors' part, as it's a story about a Reader, and by the end it directly involves it's own readers in the conclusion.

So like, if you want to stop there, and imagine a full happy ending, you can, and the authors encourage it. You have all the elements to believe it, it's not subtle or anything, but you never get to see the characters have a relaxing, happy epilogue. It is action and pain all to the very end, and the rest is up to you.

I will say, in this happy ending you Almost see, all the main group of characters are together, they Want to be together forever and live as a family, so that is the starting point where you're left to imagine from.

But!!!

ORV also has a long Side Story, that continues with chapter 553 (552 is another short, self contained side-story). And a bit like the epilogue isn't quite a normal epilogue, this isn't a normal Side Story.

Basically, if you want to find out More about what happens at the end of orv, after that open ending, you get a chance! At first it appears to be a separate story set in the same world building, but that's just a trick, it's basically a sequel and the characters you came to know appear a bit later and you learn what they've been up to.

But it means suffering more for a while, and delaying their happy ending.

And i mean, i hope it's just a delay, but i don't know, because the side story is not over yet! So i cannot tell you if it will end happily or not.

So basically. If you want to read it, i can promise you that a happy end exist, tho you dont get to see it on page, and you can chose to stop it there, and it's a perfectly acceptable way to end the story.

You can come back in 6-8 months and ask if the side story is over yet and it ended well xD

Personally, i think ORV is worth it. And i this as someone who suffered a lot reading the epilogue. The "vagueness" of the ending didnt bother me because it fits with the themes of the novel, which is all about What the agency of a reader reading a novel is.

But it's a choice you have to make for yourself!

sometimes ill get inspo from others, like a certain theme they incorporated into their edit, and i get inspo from that and decide who would fit the theme best!! its honestly hard to explain but for me, with all my current interests, its easy to incorporate who would fit a theme, audio, gif, color, etc!!

Replying to you Nat, the reason I changed my mind is because the og lyrics of the first verse which I atributted to Joe. And then reading the og ones, I thought it sounded like it could have easily been about Matty.

And then I went to re-read the full lyrics and the thing about him running seems consistent to what happened with her and Matty more than once. Both the Joe and the Matty interpretations make sense and tbh like it fits for other situations she’s been in and to me is just… a feeling one gets when one is very, very sad about how things are going/how things ended. That’s my takeaway. Again, for me it applies to multiple situations I’ve been in personally. That line about “but you should’ve seen him when he first got me” also really… gets me lol. Because I’ve been in multiple situations where I’ve been like “imagine if you still saw me/thought of me the way you did when you first met/got with me instead of now when I’m a very real and very annoying person in your life” tbh. That’s another theme that Taylor covers that I personally really relate to because I firmly believe I’m a lot better in theory than I am in practice. Like in theory I’m relatively pretty, I’m fuck funny, I’m smart, I always have a job and am always accomplishing things in that to one degree or another, I’m competent with like life things right I don’t really need help with anything, I’m fairly interesting, I’m super adventurous, etc. In practice like there are (too many to be normal) days I don’t want to get out of bed, I’ve spent time inpatient, I’m chronically online, the adventurous vibes are indicative of a lack of impulse control, I’m crazy fucking argumentative, I change my mind a lot, I get bored really easily, I don’t enjoy being responsible for anything other than my own continued survival (and my cats’ but like they’re generally self-sufficient too so all I really need to do is feed them) etc. Like the idea of me is way better than the reality of me and I’m well fucking aware of that and pretty much every person I’ve ever been with at some point I’ve felt like “but you should’ve seen [them] when [they] first got me” 🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️

You've asked a couple of really great questions here, so forgive me while I ramble a bit, haha.

My two biggest inspirations for writing are a combination of music and my favourite tv/movie/game characters.

I often write fic based on lyrics or the theme that I feel they fit into. Sometimes, the song doesn't even have to have lyrics, but if it makes me feel a certain way, I'll write a story based on that feeling! It's a pretty odd process, but it works well for me and provides much inspiration. When the song fits the vibe of a certain character well, too, that's a massive bonus.

Sometimes, looking at art inspires me to come up with a baseline plot, too. Imagery is an important thing to me, even though I'm still a little rusty at writing to set the atmosphere.

As for what genres I enjoy writing/reading the most... hmm. I've gotta go with romance being my top go-to for both, but angst is also up there, too. Nothing beats a sad ending or a tragedy, in my opinion.
