The Honolulu Roast sign appears in the middle of a scene?! AND the lamp moves?!
Ok, I've been internally screaming about this since yesterday so I'm making a separate post to share more widely:
Tumblr media
@snek-eyes has a lovely post about the use of an instrumental of Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody playing in the coffeeshop, you should definitely read it here. And then @kayleefansposts pointed out that this sign just ... appears?
I thought maybe it was a weird change in camera angle or focal depth or something, so I went back and got some of my own screenshots. As far as I can see, the sign just MATERIALIZES while the camera is on Aziraphale.
AND I realized shortly after posting this that it ALSO looks like the lamp moves further away from the menus and Crowley!
Go back and watch this scene and let me know what you think! And here it is, one more time, with marks to help clarify what I'm seeing with both the sign AND the lamp's position on the wall:
Tumblr media
Edit: @indigovigilance tracked down a possible symbolic meaning behind "Honolulu" and "Queen", here.
Interested in diving further into all the Good Omens mysteries? I have lots more of my own posts plus Clues and metas from all over the fandom, here.

The Golden Lions of Heaven
S2 has several prominent lion symbols in it, and at first watch they don’t appear to have anything to do with the main story line. But there are lions in both seasons, and they are all connected.
Lions are intrinsically linked with royalty, and are often called King of the Beasts or King of the Jungle. They also symbolize courage, nobility and strength.
Whenever lions appear in GO they are always coloured gold, which is associated with Heaven. Nearly all the angels have some bit of gold on them somewhere - unless they have just discorporated.
In Christian iconography Jesus is represented as a lion upon his return. When he was crucified he was a sacrificial lamb, but the Second Coming is a time when he returns to reign again. As a descendant of the royal house of David, it therefore seems quite logical to assign this symbol to the king of kings.
There is also this paragraph from the Medieval Bestiary:
“In Christian allegory, the three main natures of the lion each have a meaning. The lion erasing its tracks with its tail represents the way Jesus concealed his divinity, only revealing himself to his followers. The lion sleeping with its eyes open represents Jesus, physically dead after crucifixion, but still spiritually alive in his divine nature. The lion roaring over his dead cubs to bring them to life represents how God the father woke Jesus after three days in his tomb.”
There is also an often misquoted line “when the lion shall lie down with the lamb,” but it’s not that at all. The full verse is:
“The wolf shall live with the lamb, the leopard shall lie down with the kid, the calf and the lion and the fatling together, and a little child shall lead them.” [Isiah 11:6]
It is referring to a time of peace that should come once Jesus returns. Somehow I don't think we are going to get that in S3.
The Two Lions in the Dirty Donkey
Tumblr media
There are two large golden lions sitting on the ends of the bar in the Dirty Donkey. Because one of the underlying themes in S2 is about the Second Coming, even if its not obvious until the end, its fairly easy then to interpret these two as being connected to this event. The Dirty Donkey itself can be seen in several ways: a simple donkey that needs a wash, or a black horse. Both are relevant to referencing Jesus. In the former, Jesus rode a donkey into Jerusalem the first time to signify he came in peace, but the second time he arrives will be like on the back of the black horse of a conqueror come to rule. One lion for each occurrence.
Tumblr media
The Lion under the lamp in Jimbriel’s room
Tumblr media
While there is some argument for Jim’s character in S2 re-creating parts of the life of Jesus from two thousand years ago, such as the cleansing of the temple and facing temptation from demons. I think we shouldn’t also forget that this is also Gabriel the Herald, and he was doing some ominous heralding of doom at various points in S2 that in hindsight we can see were warning us about the Second Coming. So this lion at the base of the lamp Jimbriel is playing with has to alert us to Jimbriel’s connection with Jesus. (I will probably revisit and add/rewrite this one in the future, I think there is a bit more to it)
The Lion Rampant on Aziraphale’s Ring
Tumblr media
At the end of S2 we learn that Aziraphale has been manipulated into going back to Heaven to run the Second Coming by the Metatron. In hindsight, its hard to see how he wouldn't be involved, somehow. What is surprising, however, is that this expert in prophecy didn't see it coming - but then he didn't expect to see Jimbriel arriving either!
Usually the first thing we notice about Aziraphale's ring is the stylized lion rampant on the shield. We know it's definitely a lion because it upright - if it was down on all four paws it would be referred to as a leopard. The upright tail tells us its on guard.
There are more elements to the ring that also add to the story here, it's a much more complex ring than Michael's. The crown on the top is a symbol of victory and sovereignty, and also a connection to God, who considered the "King of all." On either side of the shield are two stylized sprigs of laurel, reinforcing a picture of triumph and fame.
Then there are a fringe of feathers, banded in sharp triangular spikes. Feathers signify willing obedience and serenity of mind in heraldry, so I would tend to lean towards the former. The triangles represent celestial rays, so they reinforce his obedience to the will of Heaven.
You might think, "well this makes sense, Aziraphale is a Principality, he's a protector, that's why there is a lion," but I think it more complicated than that. It tells us something about both the past and the future at the same time. The purpose of the rings remain a mystery to us at the moment, in that we don't know why some angels have them and others don't, or if they have any function. Aziraphale has a tendency to touch his when he is feeling troubled or worried (its easy to miss if you aren't paying attention,) so perhaps it helps to strengthen his connection to Heaven somehow, or is a reminder of his duties.
There is another connection Aziraphale has to a lion, and that is through his past status as a cherubim in the Job minisode in S2E2.
Tumblr media
As pointed out in this post, the pattern is stylized to represent the four wings that Cherubim are said to have, with a pearl in the center for an eye. These Cherubim also have four faces: an ox, an eagle, a lion and a man. Well, we sort of get all of those with Aziraphale at some point in the wider story. And the angel set at the eastern gate of Eden with the flaming sword was supposed to be a Cherubim, too. Yes, Aziraphale changed rank from Cherubim to Principality, we just don't technically know whether it was a step up or down...

The Honolulu Roast Lion
Tumblr media Tumblr media
There is a lion you don’t see in S2 – the lion logo for the Honolulu roast coffee, mentioned briefly on a blackboard in the background of a shot inside the coffee shop.
The islands of Hawaii were a kingdom up until 1893, when a commercial coup took them over and allowed them to be annexed by the US. You can read more about it here. While the op in that post relates it the Eldritch Ball in S2E5, it still connects a lion to royalty.
The lion at the beginning of S1E1
Tumblr media
Right at the beginning we have a lion as well – a real live lion! After Adam and Eve leave the Garden of Eden they meet a big lion out on the dunes. As Aziraphale and Crowley watch and talk atop the walls of the Garden, Adam confronts the lion with the flaming sword Aziraphale gave him and eventually kills the lion before he walks away with Eve.
What are we to think of this? I've see one op suggest that it was Aziraphale "throwing them to the lions" as his first act. To me it seems more like Adam has just slain God instead to gain their freedom.
The Lions on Crowley’s “throne”
Tumblr media
There are two lion heads on the arm rest of Crowley’s “throne” (I don’t know what else to call it, really) in his Mayfair flat in S1. If I understand correctly, this should first be viewed as a homage to the US show Supernatural, as this chair is the exact copy of the one the demon Crowley in that show sits in, only his one is black. But if I’m to look at it in terms of GO symbology, my brain keeps going [error 503: Server cannot process the request due to a system overload; should be a temporary condition...] because I can’t quite believe what its telling me. And I should, because I’m the one running around touting a list that is now 22 items long for why Crowley was once a very powerful archangel and written a batshit-crazy meta on King Arthur themes presenting in GO. So I’ll just present my quandary this way: There are lions, they are golden, of course, so they are connected to Heaven, and a symbol of royalty – but they are being used by a demon in a residence paid for by Hell…(too.much.gold...! what were they thinking?)

Remember When The Pleasure Cruiser Morbillo Was Headed for Hawaii? The "Error" Fixed With Overdubbing.
Remember when, in Season One Episode Four, Captain Vincent, of the Pleasure Cruiser Morbillo is recording an audio log and his lips are saying, "Hawaii" but is overdubbed with "Havana"?
Tumblr media
Portraying Captain Vincent is David Morrissey, and to me it sounds like he had overdubbed his entire part.
That seems a lot of work just to mask one out-of-place word, though perhaps it would have been obvious otherwise?
Sigourney Weaver's "well screw that!" in the film Galaxy Quest went completely unnoticed by me until recently, re-watching as an adult! Her mouth shape is very obvious (and you can guess what word she actually said without having to go watch it).
However, the difference from what was originally spoken in this case, is more subtle.
Dear Diary - ahem, Captain's Log
The dictaphone microphone held close, he is speaking gently, "on the breath" or at half voice, "sotto voce"; his diction all focused at the front - "the tip of the tongue, the teeth, the lips". Mmm, great for ASMR. Would Shakespeare have praised him for speaking the lines trippingly?
Here's the line, "We were sailing south-southwest on course for Havana when we realised-" up close and slowed:
Tumblr media
There's no mistaking "Hawaii" with it's three - no, four - open vowel sounds ah-oo-ah-ee; there's no top teeth meeting the inner bottom lip for the "v" of Havana, nor the subtle jaw movements that would have accompanied the syllables.
Sailing SSW for Hawaii or Havana/Habana
If the original line is, "We were sailing south-southwest on course for Hawaii ..." then firstly, the Morbillo may have been travelling down the west coast of the USA, then eventually correcting to south-southwest. Makes sense, especially being in the North Pacific Ocean!!!
In S1E4, Saturday Morning Funtime, Atlantis rose from the sea floor, in the South Atlantic Ocean. Diagonally, A. Whole. Ocean. Away.
Tumblr media
That's a great big whopping error to make! Too big.
So, overdubbing with "Havana" changes things ever so slightly, but doesn't completely fix the situation.
Which Havana?
Travelling down the East coast of the USA now, makes sense for changing course south-southwest, headed for Havana CUBA, since Havana in eleven of the United States of America, can all be ruled out, being inland. So can Havana, Turkey.
A total of thirteen places in the world named Havana, and all of them are still too far north for Atlantis.
Just in case, all places spelled Habana are also too far north, or in the case of Habana Philippines or Habana Queensland Australia, are back in the Pacific Ocean.
Nowhere near Atlantis.
How to Draw Attention to Something: Make It Look Like An Error
Why make this particular "error" ? Well if it doesn't have anything to do with the Daily Specials Honolulu Roast sign, I'll eat my ... don't have a hat, not a hat person. I'll have a heaped teaspoon of Vegemite when the time comes.
Why insert errors at all? We humans loooove pointing out errors!
Ingrained from children's television, the Playschool song (whoops I mis-remembered, it was actually Sesame Street!: One of These Things is Not Like the Others then got sidetracked on youtube for a while: Classic Sesame Street 01 | Classic Sesame Street 02 | audio | Grouch Jazz | "Three of These Things Belong Together" | Barbershop parody.)
That's the point, to draw our attention. In Season Two especially there are plenty of errors to find, in the mis-spelling of words, names, the odd writing style of certain letters and numbers...
But here in season one is a potentially placed error, where the audio doesn't quite match the lip-flaps, and to discover this "error" opens up the possibility of there being another overdubbing mis-match to find.
Thanking @kimberleyjean for checking the Season One Script Book and the TV Companion for any mention of this error. There was none. Nothing at all in the TV Companion about the captain, the ship or Atlantis.
For anyone who owns the Season One DVD: is there anything said in the audio commentaries? Was there a trivia visual overlay?
[EDIT, Saturday 7th September 2024: this image shows that the original scripted line was indeed "Hawaii" -
Tumblr media
So, this means that for Miranda Richardson, her scripted line in The Ball really was, "Surrender the anctle."]

What if the miracle that set off alarm bells wasn't hiding Gabriel but reversing time because the first time they tried, it ended badly? What if a failed attempt resulted in the deaths of 25 people on Whickber st and they decided to try rewinding time to fix it?

Good Omens S2 Discontinuity Roundup
Tumblr media
Hello Good Omens fans! Did you know the Good Omens team has put a lot of work into making “errors'' in the second season? Whether you were already aware, or just catching up, please take a look at the links below. Clicking any link will take you to one of the original posts that mentioned the discontinuity.
This post will continue to be updated and extended as new meta are published. Is there anything missing that you'd like to add? Reblogs, comments or messages are welcome!
Why are there so many discontinuities? Well, existing theories include different perspectives being shown, time-loops, separate timelines, a story told “out of order” and more! What's your opinion?
Discontinuities across multiple episodes:
Crowley’s sideburns.
Crowleys’ sunglasses.
The bookshop clock is frequently showing the “wrong” time (and other time inconsistencies).
The bookshop porch pillars/columns are sometimes clean, sometimes marked.
Randomly dusty streets (on a closed set no less!).
Street signage (Maggie’s and 1001 nights).
Almost every scene with visible extras, see here, here and here for examples.
Episode 1
There's TWO scrolls in Before the Beginning?
Gabriel’s/Jim’s entrance happens twice.
Crowley's conversation with Shax in the park shows him putting down the newspaper twice, and Shax's bag is all over the place.
Honolulu Roast sign.
Moving lamps inside GMCoGMD.
Disappearing eccles cakes.
Crowley's watch is set an hour ahead of his phone.
Episode 2
The lane where Crowley parks his Bentley varies between being wet and dry as well as the position it’s parked in, the colour grading, and the amount of dust on the Bentley windscreen! Also - the backdrop of the lane where Crowley parks the Bentley is impossible.
The amount of dust on Jim’s book changes in between cuts.
Job Minisode - varying wigs used for Bildad.
Episode 3
Muriel's arrival continues from a much earlier scene in E2 - see here and here.
Aziraphale parks in an unexplained location before going to the Resurrectionist pub, and also mysteriously loses his suitcase.
Resurrectionist Pub’s outdoor sign has two versions (no I don’t just mean the Jesus side!).
Bentley now 4-door (may be explained by the transformation sequence).
Awning of a new age, extras are discontinuous and standins for Nina and Maggie are visible.
Edinburgh Flashback - Crowley’s muttonchops change in size during the mausoleum scene.
Episode 4
Each time they are at the Windmill theatre, items in the background keep disappearing.
The polaroids (yes, two!) on screen are different sizes.
The polaroid itself is very confusing with Crowley’s weird arm.
The morse code in Hell is saying something slightly different to the loud speaker...
Episode 5
Nina and Maggie switch places? (Who knew they could teleport like that lol?)
High ranking demons are bottom of the barrel?
The “Surrender the angle” sign is thrown in twice?
A child randomly appears upon exit from the ball (approx 32:36).
Episode 6
Gabriel’s statue sometimes has a cross, sometimes not.
Crowley/David's stand-in is visible as Nina and Maggie leave.
French restaurant Fairy lights.
Final 15 clock shenanigans - why does the clock change from 9:25 to 9:40?
Are there two suns at the end of the episode?
These are the one's I've seen published so far and I'll keep adding to the list as more are published. In the meantime, if you spot anything missing from my list, please share the post about it :)

A Grand(ish) Theory of What the Heck
I love the utterly unhinged, super detailed theories about what's going on in Good Omens, especially in season 2. I hope one or more of them turn out to be true, as some kind of glorious puzzle-box-hidden-code monstrosity. And also I think that there has to be a simpler explanation for things, for the people who are at least Somewhat Normal (tm) about this show. (... I assume such people do exist somewhere...) This is what I have been pondering recently.
The thing that started me thinking about this was this post, containing some promotional materials for season 2 that feature main characters with scenes in their heads. Like this:
Tumblr media
Seeing this created a very similar situation in my own head, but with a nice shiny lightbulb.
All the weirdness: the car, the sideburns, the clock, the behavior of the folks of Soho, the vanishing storefront signs. The absence of God. I think this is all because everything we see is in their heads.
I don't mean it's made up. At least not entirely. Memory is already a plot point. Why not explore it on a deeper level? I've read theories emphasizing the minisodes' stories being retold by Aziraphale and Crowley. I think the whole season is like that.
You know that sort of conventional-wisdom-fact-concept that you can only dream faces of people you've seen before (or variations therein), because your brain can't make new faces up? So it just fills in what it thinks is close enough? I think that idea, applied to remembering or recollecting things, could explain so many things that are wonky in this show.
Wonky Things
Crowley parking in an impossible London location? He definitely remembers it was in London, so his brain just stuck some obvious London landmarks in there.
Awkward clattering happening when Crowley throws the stacks of books he's inexplicably carrying around the bookshop? He wouldn't actually throw Aziraphale's books! But he'd like to think he's cool and nonchalant enough to do that, and if he did it would definitely make Some Kind of Noise.
Jim walking toward the bookshop from somewhere mysterious? Maggie and Nina saw him first, and he came from that direction, so he must've walked all that way. They don't know about the elevator in the Donkey.
Aziraphale remembers tartan hills and the Loch Ness monster because he was having a jolly time driving through Scotland, so obviously the scenery must've been whimsical Scottish things.
Nina put the Honolulu roast sign up, so she remembers its presence, but perhaps the occult/ethereal visitors to her shop do not.
Maggie really did text Aziraphale about the rent, but a note through the mail slot is a much more dignified way for a scholarly angel to imagine he received a message.
On the Fallibility of Recall
This season is loaded with unrealistic inclusions. The colors are turned up to 11. Some of the scenes are more caricature than believable interaction. Remembering things never copies or reproduces them with what one might call high fidelity.
Scenes recalled by separate memories will inherently vary. One person's hefty jigger might be another person's dash. Who knows for sure where the sun was that day? You and I might recall an event having different lighting or a different color palette, sort of like viewing something with different lens filters.
According to Neil, Crowley is an unreliable narrator of the story of his Fall. He labels the variations in clock times as a continuity error in a show where Everything Is Meant, but he doesn't say whose continuity error it is. He insists that the Bentley is the same through the whole season; maybe it was the same, but remembered differently. Maybe this is part of why there's more CGI but it's harder to spot.
So What?
Is this all there is to it? I sure hope not. I like my Good Omens with enough layers to put to shame an onion wrapped in a cake and covered in a parfait.
Is this possibly the fancy footwork that's distracting from the real magic trick? I wouldn't put it past Our Gaiman. There are a lot of things one could hide in the narrative of unreliable memory.
Is this going to stop me from rewatching and repondering and remaking theories for the next couple years? Not even at gunpoint.

Whose POV is it Anyway?
"Your 'Something's Wrong' voice."
DO NOT ASK NEIL ABOUT FAN THEORY
Hallo assorted ethereal and occult beings! I'm back to break down the POV of different scenes in detail! Starting with episode 1, and notably, the coffee shop scene when Crowley comes to meet Aziraphale for the first time in present day & the argument about Gabriel!
For reference & context, I recommend reading these posts:
Whose POV is it Anyway? - Introduction
Lens Filters
Let's jump straight in!
Tumblr media
We open Season one's present day with Crowley and Shax on the bench in the park, and in this scene the Black Diffusion FX filter is in Full Effect, and Crowley's sideburns are short.
Tumblr media
The color is well saturated, but still cool-toned and bright, indicative of Crowley's POV.
Then when Aziraphale visits Maggie, listens to his music, and Gabriel arrives to Aziraphale, the Bronze Glimmer Glass filter is used.
Tumblr media
The lighting is warm, golden, soft & hazy. Aziraphale's POV.
This brings us to the coffee shop scene.
Tumblr media
I've stolen this photo from @embracing-the-ineffable 's post about The Appearing Honolulu Roast Sign which you should go check out if you haven't yet. But I'd like to draw your attention to something subtler here, the tone of the top two images and the bottom two. Pull up the episode and watch it if you'd like as well.
When Crowley walks into the coffee shop and sits down, the lighting is warm and hazy, because Aziraphale had been there alone so far. There is then a cut, Crowley's sideburns are short, the Honolulu Roast sign notably appears, but the scene is also noticeably (if you're looking for it) clearer and more vibrant, the warm haze is gone. I think we've switched from Aziraphale's POV to Crowley's POV here, and I think that's then confirmed by Crowley immediately beginning to give Aziraphale a bit of a a read about his "somethings wrong voice". We're broken out of Aziraphale's fairytale filter POV into Crowley's which is a bit colder and more realistic.
They then head back to the bookshop where Crowley discovers Jimbriel.
As soon as they're in the door of the bookshop the warm hazy Bronze Glimmer Glass filter is back and Crowley's sideburns are long. He removes his glasses, he's relaxed, and then he's jumpscared out of his boots by Jimbriel. Aziraphale's POV.
Crowley drags Aziraphale to the backroom and despite the warm yellow paint on the walls, the hazy warm tone is gone and I believe we've returned to the Black Diffusion FX filter, or Crowley's POV. Additionally, his sideburns are short again. Crowley is angry, terrified, and stressed now. He's not the kindest with his words and refuses to help Aziraphale.
Tumblr media
When Crowley storms out, his walk back through the bookshop is marked by another POV change with longer sideburns, in the warm hazy tones of the BGG Aziraphale filter, and a notable shot of him retrieving his glasses beside the plate of eccles cakes. Two details that I believe would stand out in Aziraphale's imagination and mind. He would notice Crowley's eyes, and remember the eccles cakes.
Tumblr media
Outside in the street, Crowley's sideburns are once again short, and the filter is cool toned again, indicating we've switched to BDFX or Crowley's POV again. He's angry, he's struck by lightning, and gets in the Bentley to angrily drive off.

My murder board
Updated 4/22/24
I'll add links as I can, but here's what I've got so far on the Good Omens season 2 puzzle/game. I feel it's important to note that I think we've been given all the puzzle pieces and a bunch of helpful hints besides.
The continuity errors:
Crowley's hair (POV thing)
Crowley's sideburns (POV)
The Bentley, "our car" but then it is Our Car in 1941 also -- WTF (There is a line in the book about someone being powerful enough to make something change and then make it so the change always was that way, but damned if I can recall the line or context now. Need to re-read AND re-watch! Found it! It's when Crowley first meets Adam after he's come into his powers -- he reads Crowley's mind and history like it's a book and this is the impression it leaves Crowley with. Adam's power is very similar to how the Book of Life is described in the show. Curiouser and curiouser!) (POV!)
Eccles cakes when Crowley leaves the shop, it's still morning, the continuity of time is messing with me. When they get the eccles cakes, it's light out. When Crowley leaves, it's dark out. He throws a lightning temper tantrum. He comes back after 9 by the clock in the shop. I still think it's not unreasonable to assume Aziraphale simply tidied away the eccles cakes in that time. Nina would have liked her plate back, after all. But all of this begs another question: 4a. Why is it around 11:30 when Aziraphale leaves Maggie's shop with the record and says he knows what he'll be doing for 21 minutes, but after 4 pm when Gabriel shows up? What happened for those 4+ hours? See 6. Clocks are wrong. Time is wrong!! (4.b the eccles cakes are prominent in at least one promo poster. Even if they don't disappear, do they mean something else??)
Portal rug it's a faded rug right up until the ball, when it becomes a thick red rug, then it's back to faded once the ball is tidied away. It just got made pretty for the ball, then changed back. The change is a nothingburger.
Clocks are wrong -- all over the damn place!!
Cross on Gabriel's statue -- appears to disappear. (POV)
Honolulu roast sign -- appears out of nowhere. (POV)
Title/location cards -- but there are some spots where the S1 title cards are used, what's going on there? (POV clues? -- this needs a closer look)
Drawing of Gabriel -- the one Aziraphale draws in the shop is NOT the one he shows the pub owner in Edinburgh. Why? (POV)
Wet roads/series poster -- what is up with all the rain??
Lights at Marguerites -- on again, off again. (POV? Or is it just when she's closed and open? It's a cafe, after all, they won't be open in the morning.)
Aziraphale's chair position in the Final Fifteen
1941 photo, Crowely's hand
Repeating extras -- not just repeating, but acting oddly -- walking back and forth, touching things, not eating, dressed the same every single day, etc. Do the people on the street in Edinburgh behave the same way?? (POV?)
Resurrectionist sign at the pub -- one with a scalpel, one with a butcher's knife. And it makes me think -- was Mr. Dalrymple a surgeon and a scientist with a scalpel, or a butcher with a cleaver? (POV. Wait, Aziraphale is the only MC there -- whose POVs would we be seeing?? Crowley's. He calls to tell Crowley what he found, what we're seeing is Crowley's idea of what happened.)
Store front signs -- appear and disappear. (POV)
Whickber street as seen from Heaven vs. on location -- the one Saraqael looks at in Heaven is the Google Maps picture of SoHo from 2019 with the book shop added in. It's not even from 2023! There is a building being torn down in it. In person on the show, it's different -- and the building is long gone in actual Google Maps 2023. (I think Saraqael is trying to hide the big miracle. She's showing the arc angels the book shop when it got reset by Adam in 2019.)
When Shax talks to Crowley and he takes off driving. When she appears, he is parked further up the street than when he leaves. Noticeably so. (POV? Or scenes out of order and this is a different time than it looks like?)
Edinburgh castle -- when Aziraphale arrives in Edinburgh, the castle is behind him. When the camera switches angles to behind him, Edinburgh castle is in front of him. The street he is on (streets, actually) are real streets. The castle was put in the first shot deliberately, but exists for real in the second shot. (POV)
Edinburgh streets -- when Aziraphale arrives in Edinburgh, the street he parks on is cobblestone. When the camera switches to behind him, the street is paved. (POV)
Weird sounds of all kinds?? (POV? Some of them yes.)
Crowley's sunglasses. Could this be explained by POV switches? If so, why do they change halfway through and then stay that way?
Questions about things the characters do:
Where did Crowley go during the Job flashback? And why was he wearing his spy turtleneck? (To meet up with Saraqael, perhaps? Seeing as Shax interrupted their meeting earlier that day?)
Where else did Aziraphale go in Edinburgh? And why did he go to the graveyard?
What did Gabriel need to bring to Aziraphale? What happened to it? (God's voice? A message from god? The Book of Life?)
Why does Micheal do the magician's "nothing in the box" display with the matchbox? It's a very specific action. Something's in that up with that damn matchbox. We're being asked to look at it, while something else happens that we're missing. And someone noticed that her nails are in terrible shape when she does it, but our eyes are on the matchbox.
What else did the Metatron say to Aziraphale? (Anything? Are we getting the whole, accurate story? Most of it? Any of it?)
How long was Crowley in Heaven, and what happened while he was there? (Did he sneak around and steal something? Did they harm him? He's acting a bit weird when he comes back.)
What happened to Aziraphale's briefcase? The one he took to Edinburgh. Where he did who knows what. (Is that a POV thing??)
What, if anything, is wrong with Crowley's memory? (Or is he just dissing Furfur and Saraqael?) (OR! Given the Gabriel removed HIS OWN MEMORY AND PUT IT IN THE FLY, so apparently angels ((AND demons??)) can affect their own memories, did Crowley deliberately do something to himself to get rid of unwanted memories??? He seems pretty untroubled by not remembering Furfur or Saraqael or why they made gravity -- almost as if he doesn't care the memories are gone. Okay, maybe he's gotten rid of some memories himself, but then WHY??) This could be a big old nothingburger. Or is he dissing Furfur and offering plausible deniability that he's met with Saraqael before -- like, when he was wearing his spy turtle neck??
What is Shax's mission? She says she's Crowley's replacement, but then she asks for "what she needs" from Crowley on the bench. Huh? What does she need?
How does Crowley know about hand washing in the Resurrectionists minisode? (This strikes different than the "lead ballon" remark on the wall. It's hard to say if Crowley knows about lead balloons, or if they're speaking an angelic language and it's being translated for us and the translator has a sense of humor or is trying to convey Crowley's sense of humor. The hand washing is actual, concrete, specific knowledge of the future.) Ah, I just re-read the book, where he mentions helicopters to DaVinci, and also Neil said this. It's something Crowley can do. He's a demon, he knows things.
What is going on with Maggie? I don't think she's a demon, but there is something up with her. (Also, one of the men in the graveyard in Edinburgh has a tattoo that says "no regerts." That's a real tattoo that circulates around the internet every once in a while -- I think it's a subtle reminder that humans aren't necessarily great at spelling, either.) But she has a Mason symbol on her necklace, and I still think the Masons are significant somehow; Aziraphale can't miracle-influence her; Aziraphale expects her to feel the arc angels arriving.
Why does Gabriel speak with god's voice? (Was that what he needed to bring? That message? But he says he needs to give Aziraphale something, and both times he speaks in god's voice, it's to Crowley. Hmm. IS that God's voice? It's a woman, but who is it?)
How did the pub owner recognize Gabriel's picture so fast? He says himself, "Look pal, I see a lot of people -- oh, yeah, I remember him!" ?? Was it just because Gabriel was weird at him?
Why is Crowley throwing books? It gives us a laugh, but is there a reason for it? He even seems confused as to why he's carrying them right before he does. (This is a POV thing -- the lens is "Aziraphale's" lens, so I think we're seeing Crowley tell Aziraphale what happened while Aziraphale was gone, and how Aziraphale imagines it would go.)
Why is Saraqael the only angel to react with fear before anyone else recognizes the Metatron? (Is it because she's been working WITH Gabriel, Beelzebub, AND Crowley and Aziraphale to thwart the second attempt at ending the world? Neil says he had some secret things for Sandalphon to do, but the actor wasn't available, so Saraqael does some of those things instead . . .)
Aziraphale gently laughs at Muriel's Inspector Constable persona, but then IMMEDIATELY adopts a just as over-the-top reporter persona. Is he doing it deliberately, or is he that un-self-aware? If he's doing it deliberately, why? Who's he trying to convince he's not that savvy? The pub owner? Anyone who might be spying? US?? Is that a POV thing? And if so, whose?? (AHA! I think this is Aziraphale telling Crowley what happened, and Crowley picturing Aziraphale being adorable in his disguise. Aziraphale is not that silly actually, but probably not as slick as he wants to think.)
Why the heck did Maggie and Nina go talk to Crowley while the Metatron was talking to Aziraphale? What they had to say wasn't important enough to leave Nina's shop during a rush, and I definitely don't think they derailed Crowley from what he needed to say to Aziraphale, though it might look at first as if they did. So what was that about?
When Shax stops Aziraphale for a ride, he says, "Oh, I really need to get to --" and then is cut off. He really needs to get to where? It's an easy assumption to think he means the book shop, or London. But is that all he means? Or was he on his way somewhere else? And if it was just the book shop, what does he mean he's late? Late for what? And that lens is still Crowley's lens -- Aziraphale is relating the story to Crowley. Crowley also knows where Aziraphale was going besides Edinburgh.
Crowley can tell something is wrong. Something. What?
Good God, this questions list just keeps getting longer. Why would the Metatron allow Beelzebub and Gabriel to leave, after trying to stop Armageddon 2.0, but come after Crowley and Aziraphale like that? Just because of the big miracle? (Which I'm not sure they did.)
Why does Crowley say "Oh, God," right before his confession in the final fifteen? To let Aziraphale know that he understands what Aziraphale is saying? That God (or the Voice) is there? Seems possible.
Why didn't Gabriel come down the lift in the Dirty Donkey? He also says he had to carry that box for sooo long. Where was he wandering around?
When Crowley leaves Heaven, he tells Saraqael and Muriel to come, too. But in the elevator, Michael and Uriel are there! When the fuck did they show up??
The whole time Aziraphale is in Maggie's shop asking about Every Day, he is looking out the windows and is VERY nervous. Is he just concerned about leaving Gabriel on his own, or is he nervous about something specific? He does react to the car horn outside as others have noted, but he is already jumpy and checking the windows repeatedly, the car horn isn't anything particular, he's just already fixated on the windows.
Why does Beelzebub tell Shax to attack the bookstore? Aren't they worried about Gabriel being harmed? And they know Hell is understaffed. Maybe that's why they command it? Because they know Shax won't be able to get the demons?
Questions about the world:
What about the Masons? It's such a specific thing for the pub owner to bring up, what is the meaning of it? And Maggie has a Mason symbol on her necklace. Did the Masons carve the statue of Gabriel? When did they see him?
The only narration we hear in the entire season is Aziraphale in the Resurrectionist flashback. Why? (Maybe to throw us off? I think we have multiple POV characters in season 2, not just Aziraphale, but we only hear Aziraphale so we assume he's the POV for the entire season. But still, why do we only hear him narrate 1 flashback? Argh, is he reading the diary to himself in the present day? That would explain the end, "And that was the last I was to see of Crowley for some time." If he is reading it in the present day, why? What made him think to go back to THAT entry?? Oh, duh! He JUST heard the story of the jukebox from Maggie. And Gabriel appearing -- same city that statue is in. Of course he thought of something important from that diary entry! Now, what did he notice?)
Is the Book of Life a real threat? We hear two stories about it, that it's real and that its ability to erase beings was something to scare the cherubs with, this is inconclusive. Crowley gets nervous after Beelzebub talks to him, but he could just be upset that their little break is interrupted, and now Heaven and Hell have taken an interest in them again.
Is reality fucked up? How? Whickber street bubble, Aziraphale's power turned up (how?), etc.? A LOT of it is POV shifts!
Job 41:19 on the matchbox: 1941?? YES. Bullet catch/kiss scene!
Where TF is God? "There was nothing for Her to do" my ass. She narrates. That's it. So there was nothing for her to narrate? Hm. (Because there was a host of other narrators? Are the Crowley/Aziraphale through the ages flashbacks in S1 narrated by God? I don't think they are, but I need to rewatch. They are not! And they aren't narrated by God because Crowely and Aziraphale are the POV characters in them.)
So many promo posters show Aziraphale, Crowley, and Jimbriel together, or symbols of them. Three feathers: two white, one black. Tea cup, cocoa mug, wine glass. The three of them. Not with Beelzebub, not with Muriel, the three of them. And all three of them have been Jesus-coded in some small way. No one else. Those three. What. Why. Are they the sacrifice required to bring about the new world? Why not Beez, then?
Wait. Two Crowleys?? WTF. There are two Crowley puppets in the magic shop, and Crowley doesn't remember Saraqael or Furfur. Is he dissing them, or is that the second Crowley that never did meet either of them? Am I insane? I have no theory here, just some wild speculation that needs a lot more time to simmer. Two actual Crowleys, or two ideas of Crowley? Or something to hurt my head?
Why are they in a cave in the opening sequence? The guy who made the opening sequence says they are in the fly that Gabriel stores his memory in. Okay, why? And Crowley lights a match to see. Hm. What else was in that fly that Gabriel didn't take when he got his memory out?
An album on the wall in Maggie's shop says "Rat Keith." This seems to me to be an allusion to The Amazing Maurice and His Educated Rodents, by Terry Pratchett. In the book, some men have tied several rats' tails together to create a rat king that keeps the wild rats under control -- except that the rat king has too much power and is doing way more than just that. People die. So who's been given too much power and is now running the show instead of being a puppet? The Metatron, perhaps? Hm . . . Also, Keith is the young boy who plays the part of the Pied Piper for Maurice's scam. He leads all the rats out of town, never mind that the rats can talk and are in on the scam.
Things I think I know:
NEIL GAIMAN IS A LYING LIAR WHO LIES. Except when he's dropping hints or answering straight out. All of his answers to anything anyone asks about GO are suspect at best. (I cannot blame him or anyone else on the cast or crew -- they spent A LOT of time and energy building this very meticulous puzzle game for us -- why would ANY of them give ANY of it away? That would ruin all the fun!)
God has been removed/has vacated. Where did she go? I wonder if anyone knows. Is She just standing back and watching? In the book, Crowley says that anyone who can create a whole universe in six days doesn't let a war of rebellion happen unless they want it to. But that he and Aziraphale wouldn't understand, because if they understood, they wouldn't be them. It's INEFFABLE. He also then FORGETS what he was talking about a minute later.
God doesn't narrate because She's busy being Maggie. Aha!
The Metatron is working for himself. The dice on his tie seem to imply that while God does not play dice with the universe, this jerk surely does. Also, see the rat king observation above, #10.
Gabriel was bringing Aziraphale a message, the box is a red herring. But that brings me to another thing I suspect -- there was something else in the box, and the box is deeply important. Ah, damn -- is that what Crowley gave to Aziraphale in the kiss? Whatever was in the box? Was that what he found out while he was in Heaven? What Gabriel took? Did Gabriel put it in the fly with his memory?
Heaven did something bad to Crowley while he was there. That coffee is a red herring to draw our eye away from him. But that brings me to something else I suspect -- Crowley's knackered and a bit off when he returns from his TEN HOUR JAUNT in Heaven not because they did anything bad to him, but because he stole something very important. Maybe the thing he gives to Aziraphale during the break up?
Crowley and Aziraphale did NOT perform a huge miracle. I don't know what happened, but it wasn't them working together. (Or did they? Are angels and demons more powerful together? Did the Fall create a schism between them that weakened them all? Or are they and Saraqael hiding who did do the big miracle?)
This is a 2 man con. Of course it's a 2 man con. I read American Gods. Crowely and Aziraphale have a plan. This might be version B or C, they might be springing it sooner than they hoped, but that break up was a ruse. A hard, painful ruse, but a ruse. They knew their respite would be short-lived, they've been putting something together for years now.
Crowley put something in Aziraphale's mouth during the kiss. I don't know what, but something he had to swallow. obligateweirdo pointed out that he seems to palm something out of his mouth when he touches his lips the second time, and that Houdini's wife used to slip him the keys to his cuffs with a kiss before his shows. Whatever Crowley gave Aziraphale, it's physical. And Michael Sheen has said he doesn't want to share what's in Aziraphale's pockets -- because Aziraphale put whatever Crowley gave him into a pocket?? Was it the fly? (But didn't that go into Gabriel's eye and stay there?) And if it was the fly, what was inside it?
Gabriel went somewhere else before he went to the book shop. He didn't come down the elevator at the Dirty Donkey. Did he go to Edinburgh? Is that why the pub owner recognized that picture so fast? "Oi! That's that naked bloke was in here last week!" (Or was him walking down the street because we first see him from Nina or Maggie's perspective?? POV muckery?)
SECRET SONGS??? Why are the songs secret?? I'm losing my mind, what is happening??
Several narrators. I'm not even sure how many, but we're seeing the world through the eyes of characters, not God or a faceless narrator. This is part of why things are weird. I don't think that's the full explanation for the whole season, but I think it's a big part of the weirdness. A book that comes up often in the show is The Crow Road by Ian Banks. A brief description of the book says that it is written from the point of view of several characters and the story is told out of order and in no particular fashion, with changes from character to character POV coming at no particular interval and with no warning. AHA! (I did come up with the idea before I saw this post, but @highlandwhackamole beat me to writing it. Well done!) NOW I'm wondering if we aren't also seeing the story as told by the characters we see, but as heard but an as-yet unknown character . . .
The scenes are out of order. The DAMN SCENES ARE OUT OF ORDER! I don't know their correct order, but they are out of order. The Crow Road, again, is told out of order, forcing the reader to piece the scenes together (from a brief description, I'm thinking more and more I need to read this book rather than try to skim it). Is it as simple as watching the scenes in chronological order??
Our angel and demon have hidden something in the book shop. Something important. I have no current guesses as to what. Crowley still has his crank from starting up the nebula. What else might he have taken with him? Is that it? Or something else? HOLY SHIT ARE THEY HIDING JESUS??? Is THAT who did the miracle??
When Aziraphale tells Crowley that their Gabriel miracle set off alarms in Heaven, he sort of raises his eyebrows and says it in the same way he says other things he doesn't mean -- the same tone he says "I forgive you" after the Kiss, or how he says "He says he's Bildad the Shuite," in the Job minisode. It wasn't the Gabriel miracle that set off alarms in Heaven, it was whatever Saraqael was doing, or whoever Saraqael is hiding, and Crowley is well aware of it and whatever Saraqael is up to. Aziraphale just told Crowley that they have to take responsibility for whatever Saraqael did to allay Heaven's suspicions. They are talking in code through more of this season than we first think.
The rainbow lens flairs sure look like eyes. Like a pupil and iris. Is this a subtle hint that we are seeing through someone else's eyes?
When Crowley and Aziraphale argue about what to do with Jimbriel, behind Aziraphale is a privacy screen, and behind Crowley is an open door. Does this reflect how each of them feels, that Aziraphale believes they are speaking in private and Crowley believes they are being listened in on?
Repeating themes:
Beverages of all kinds -- tea for Aziraphale, wine or whiskey for Crowley, cocoa for Jim.
Time -- lots of clocks/mentions of time
Love/partnership/togetherness being stronger than separateness
Queer couples -- is literally everyone in season 2 in a non-cis-het relationship?? Even the guy in the graveyard says he uses his phone for Grindr -- a gay men's dating hook-up app. Nothing wrong with it, but it's an interesting writing choice. Why? Equality and representation -- or a Clue? (I think it's a POV Clue!)
Memories/forgetting/remembering
Payment -- money comes up in both the Resurrectionists minisode and the Flesh Eating Nazi Zombies minisode, but no one pays for anything in present. There is bartering, but no money.
Rising from the dead -- Job's kids (even though they weren't actually dead), bodies used for science, Nazi zombies, the Second Coming.
Unreliable narrators
Death in general -- but 9a., I'm a dirty pagan, why didn't I make this connection sooner, death always leads to REBIRTH, change, something totally new and 9b. there are tarot cards in the magic shop, and even if you're not a dirty pagan, the Death tarot card means transition, something must die before a new thing can be born. Hmmmm.
Morality and what is "good" and what is right
Recognition and identity
Repeating words and phrases OMG the list goes on:
Technically
Properly
Isn't it just?
Too late
Funny old world
Not as such
Made for each other
EVERYWHERE
Obviously
Hints:
Powell and Pressburg films
The Crow Road
Catch 22
The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents, Terry Pratchett in general
Jane Austin
Book Good Omens
The titles of episodes, minisodes, places, etc. 7a. The Arrival: a book and a movie, though the book seems far more relevant. And lovely. The Clue: a movie. Companion to Owls: a line from a Bible story. I Know Where I'm Going: a movie. The Resurrectionists: two novels, each called The Resurrectionist, singular. Both look unhinged. The Hitchhiker: a Twilight Zone episode. Nazi Zombie Flesheaters: Literally no other reference. ?? Nazi Zombies do appear in a LOT of movies, comics, and video games, usually as a dark joke. The Ball: a video game. Irrelevant? It's a puzzle-based game, so maybe not. Every Day: a song AND a movie. Some themes repeat here: Puzzle games, being re-directed from one's path to find true love, death and being brought back to life in a gruesome and unpleasant way.
That's what I have so far. I'll try to update with new ideas and information, as well as links to things that support my theories as I find them.

What's the angle?
@embracing-the-ineffable, @thebluestgreen and I were talking recently and came to the conclusion that there's a lot of handwriting hi jinx going on in this season. One of the first things we see is this note by Maggie.
Tumblr media
Seems pretty normal honestly. Lowercase unless there's a sentence or a proper noun to start. Everything looks like the same hand wrote it. So we know what Maggie's handwriting looks like.
Now I'm going to show you Maggie's and Nina's help signs.
Tumblr media
They're both written in all uppercase. Seemingly we're meant to understand their content is emphasized, or to be read from far away. Notice how on Nina's, all the As are written normally, with the crossbar going left to right, like you would write a normal uppercase A? And the M has that loopy quality that we see in Maggie's note? Okay now look at the sign Maggie is holding.
Tumblr media
There's an EXTREMELY odd uppercase A with a long descender on the right hand side, and the crossbar of the A is actually going the other way, right to left. No one writes like that unless maybe they are left handed AND ALSO starting the symbol at bottom right to top left, like someone who doesn’t use a latin alphabet all that often?
Which makes sense when you consider that the girls actually crossed each other in the frame from earlier when they were waiting. So Maggie wrote Nina’s sign, and Nina wrote Maggie’s sign. Now we know what Nina’s writing looks like.
I say symbol because check out where we’ve seen this exact writing before :
Tumblr media
There's something else odd about the Honolulu Roast board, not just that it appeared in the middle of the scene. It's 100% Nina who wrote it, and there's a character that looks like an A hidden in there the same way it was in the help sign, and also there's a hidden character in the top righthand corner which is definitely not an English letter. Which got us thinking, maybe it's not a letter?
Tumblr media
If you draw an angle symbol on it's side, like you're supposed to, the crossbar would be drawn top to bottom, making it perfect for the "As" we see in previous examples, with the same long descender on the right. Want to see something really wild?
Tumblr media
Different handwriting, but the same right hand descender and backwards crossbar. So the question is: what angle are Nina and the demons trying to communicate, and why keep it so hidden from everyone?

The Ineffable Detective Agency presents more Ineffable Discontinuity and Suspicious Moments: Hawaiian Shirt / Pub Table Guy
Introducing... the extra/background character who makes Aziraphale do THIS, and then immediately has his table at the pub miracled away:
Tumblr media
Jon Dan Duncan's imdb profile doesn't list Good Omens, not even as "uncredited" - which seems strange, because his profile does include the above photo of him. Since the actor isn't credited in GO, we don't have a character name or know anything more than what we can see onscreen. So, what DO we see?
First of all, when Aziraphale sees this person, he definitely has A Reaction. We were probably all too distracted by Azi stroking the thin dark duke to notice (as an aside, IS Crowley a Duke? Of what? Hell? Something else??), but after the 90th rewatch, it gets a bit easier to focus on these background details that are probably critically important to the story in ways we just don't understand yet. Look at this:
Tumblr media
Did he mouth "stop" when he's supposed to be saying "sherry"? Maybe. These LOOKS, though:
Tumblr media
We all know that Michael Sheen's expressions, no matter how tiny or fleeting, are very intentional. Who IS this mystery person??! Immediately after taking his table:
Tumblr media
After whoever-he-is loses his pub table, he lingers nearby, and there's an interesting "ineffable discontinuity" - what he's holding in his right hand abruptly changes twice between camera cuts (sound on, if you want context for this small zoomed-in part of the screen, and try watching from your browser if the Tumblr app is cutting off the right edge of the image):
So far, our best explanation for the "ineffable discontinuities" - things that inexplicably and improbably change, like which hand is holding his drink or (coming up next) when he's behind Gabriel and then suddenly in front of him - is that we're seeing multiple timelines that are being knitted together in production to make them look seamless - but who knows? We'd love to hear your ideas! (Also, see the appearing Honolulu Roast sign in the coffeeshop, or Crowley's tattoo and sideburns, or the fandom's newest discovery (from @kimberleyjean and @bbbitchvibbbez) about Gabriel visiting his statue with "both" s1 and s2 Beelzebubs, plus the way the statue's cross is sometimes missing - just to name a few!)
Was the point in this scene with Hawaiian shirt/pub guy's right hand to draw our attention to this page of his newspaper?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"Unearthed mysteries of sealed library basement" - when Crowley told Shax that Aziraphale was "stock taking in the basement", was it true that there IS a basement in the bookshop? Basements apparently aren't that common in most of the UK, but London is famous for having "iceberg" buildings (where the basements are actually bigger than what's above-ground).
"Government approves funding for citywide charging stations" - We don't know, but it makes us think of all the electric cars used in s2 (it was an indoor set) and of Crowley throwing lightning in the street.
And the smaller headline on the right ... Hmmm. Can you read it? 😅 Maybe "Neighbor says New ------ park gate is ' too --- ' "
And it's not just the pub during episode 2! This mystery character is everywhere!
E1: He somehow starts out behind Gabriel, and then ends up in front of Gabriel with another extra on his arm:
Tumblr media
E2: In addition to his appearance in the pub, he's also watching when Saraqael, Uriel, and Michael arrive:
Tumblr media
E3: Our mystery character is there again when Crowley makes it rain, wearing his e1 shirt:
Tumblr media
E4: We didn't spot him in this episode, but there are only a few minutes of present-day SoHo. Did anyone else see him?
E5: He has a doppelganger in a different Hawaiian print shirt! (Notice the different facial hair, among other things.)
Tumblr media
Later in e5 he does actually make an appearance in the bookshop window for a quarter of a second (!!), wearing his e2 pub outfit, and maybe it's his presence that elicits this similar-to-the-pub reaction from Aziraphale?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
E6: And back again to his black e1 and e3 shirt with the red flowers, while in line behind The Metatron, and then sitting at a table on the sidewalk, where he remains with the person in the turban who was in line behind him (and who also shows up quite a lot during s2) right up until Crowley drives away:
Tumblr media
So, why have him wear such a noticable black shirt with red flowers on what are supposed to be three different days? Is he connected, with his Hawaiian print shirt, to the appearing Honolulu Roast sign? Why does he get a doppelganger in e5 - to distract us from his presence outside the bookshop before the ball? Why does Aziraphale react like this - TWICE - upon seeing this person?? (Much to Crowley's great confusion!)
Tumblr media
And why does it seem that Aziraphale is keeping this person's presence/ identity/ importance a secret from Crowley?
As always, we'd love to hear your ideas!
Also, here's an earlier post from @theastrophysicistnextdoor about him, with gratitude for the inspiration to write all this up.
With appreciation for contributions from @noneorother, @thebluestgreen, and @embracing-the-ineffable at the @ineffable-detective-agency

Hey there! In an attempt to spread some Writer Positivity, I'd like you to share five (or more, if you'd like to!) memorable quotes by your characters, across your fics!
They can be fun, silly, romantic, anything that exemplifies your writing! Thanks for sharing <3
Hii Mads 💚
OH MY GOD I LOVE THIS QUESTION SO SO MUCH 😻 (and sorry for answering so late life’s been super busy lately 😅)
Bryce Lahela from Cake by the Ocean
”Nice fruit loop on your face. Newest fashion trend?“ he teases.
Bryce Lahela from ”How were we ever strangers.“
“I said yes people. That’s right. Luna is finally making an honest man out of me,“ he continues to say it over and over again doing a victory dance.
Ethan Ramsey from I do
”From where I‘m standing you were just trying to ruin a wonderful day. What’s even worse you were insulting not just me, which I can live with, since I don’t care about your opinion of me. But you insulted my wife and our dear friend. Something I won’t tolerate. So if you don’t want to be here then kindly fuck off,“ he says and his words warm my heart.
Skyler Auclair from A Pinch of Pink and Blue…This one’s for you
”Are you sure you put more than one slice in there aunt G? Cause I think poor Bryce might starve. Since Lunes here will probably eat at least one slice of apple pie on the way home,“ Sky shakes his head at me and winks.
Maxine Moore from Cinnamon Sugar
”Oh my god. So my dad taught chemistry at a middle school right here in Honolulu. So this one time we wanted to try out this experiment what would happen to ketchup if we put baking soda in it,“ I say and take a sip from my coffee.
Bryce Lahela from Always & Forever
“Baby, don’t apologize, there’s no need, and if you need a hug or anything, you can always tell me. You know that,“ he catches a tear with his thumb, while I didn’t even realize that I was crying.
Luna Auclair from Paint Wars
”You are. Saying how you’re exhausted. All you did was sit on that couch and look pretty,“ I wipe tears from my eyes.
Bryce Lahela from Summer‘s Kiss
”It was our bodies who created the magic, the bed was just a side piece.“
Nik from my Nigthbound AU vs. Hänsel & Gretel - Chapter 2 - Strange Encounters
“Pie-boy is getting roasted. I knew something was missing,“ Nik says grinning.
Trystan Thorne from Moja Ruža
”I love it when you boss me around.“ I gave her a kiss on her cheek.
Thank you so much for thinking of me and sending this ask my way 🩷🩷🩷🩷 Hope you have a wonderful day ahead 🩷🥰🌸😍

The Sideburns Scheme Post #6 v2
Tumblr media
(For reference: The Sideburns Scheme)
Crowley, Good Omens 2, Episode 1, The Arrival, being in coffee shop
Sideburns Check
Tumblr media
The sideburns are still short. The driving time shortened them, and Crowley entered a human space. He may have tricked this location's threshold on the way in, but since that threshold is not bigger than Crowley, he keeps the short sideburns.
Due to the lighting in general, the right sideburn looks darker. It also looks more painted in texture than the left sideburn.
...
Brighter Red Streak Check
Tumblr media
For looking for the brighter, more saturated red streak, it's really hard to tell, but I think it moved slightly. Before, it was coming out at the part and on top of that area. Here, it's close to doing that but closer to the center of his left eye and more easily seen from the front.
...
Hairstyle Changes
Tumblr media
Comparing to before Crowley entered the coffee shop, the hairstyle shape looks mostly the same. The lighting is mainly what makes it look different. As already stated, it's really hard to tell that the streak moved slightly.

Earthly Objects
(For reference: Earthly Objects)
With Aziraphale's invisible chair and him making sure to not touch the table as well, Crowley takes over as the one to make sure touches are visibly handled whenever necessary. He has his back to the chair with his arm on top of that back to the chair up until Nina leaves. His right hand is shown at different cuts with some variance to the touch itself on the table.
Nina arrives with a Hello and a question. The next cut makes sure to show Crowley touching the table and chair.
When the coffee arrives, Crowley picks up the cup by the handle with two visible fingers from the front and some of the thumb known to be picking it up from the other side but not as easily seen. This method, I suspect, is Crowley preferring credit for drinking the coffee as his earthly object touch instead of physically touching the cup. Since I don't know if I'll truly stay committed to this project to get all the way to episode 6, I will even point out now that when Aziraphale drinks the infamous coffee of that episode, it is shown from the back, not the front. So, he, theoretically, is not going to get credit for that drinking touch in Earthly Objects at least. Crowley is showing us how it's done properly here.
Aziraphale's main physical earthly object touch is the Eccles cakes plate when he and Crowley get up to leave.

Story Commentary
Crowley's right side is notably cast in shadow for this scene when we see him from the front. The lighting very much favors his left.
He is also more shadowy and blurry compared to Aziraphale for cuts where he is not given focus and shown from the back or the side before he eventually leans forward. When looking more shadowy and blurry, there is one part where it looks like he's mouthing something to the unseen Aziraphale as Nina's miming his order to someone else.
A sign appears early on into the scene after Crowley sits down that says, "Today's Specials Honolulu Roast". The sign itself is in Nina's handwriting even though we haven't seen Nina yet. I only know that because of a Tumblr post I read ages ago that pointed out her handwriting in the signs she and Maggie use later when locked in the coffee shop. Presumably, the sign's appearance is one of the story's cues that's something is off with chronology and reality.
The blocking in this scene is staged such that during the actual ordering of the coffee, when Nina has focus, she will be in the shot with a blurred version of Crowley or Aziraphale. In the cuts where one of them receives focus, they will be looking at the space where she is presumed to be, but she will not be in the actual shot with them, not even blurred.
After Aziraphale gives Nina Crowley's name, Crowley smiles an adorably proud little smile and says, "Charmed".
I used to theorize that meant she was a witch and didn't know it. Later, I thought maybe it meant she got something special from getting his name because she's the only human given this type of introduction for Crowley. Other humans hear it amidst the tension at the ball, but it's still not the same as an actual introduction as done here. Nina never calls Crowley by his name though. Besides that other human in the park when Crowley was being still and expecting to meet Shax, Nina is the only one to approach and talk to Crowley. Maggie even makes a point of taking Nina with her to approach Crowley in episode 6. By the end of the season, Nina is the closest thing Crowley has to a known human friend, in my opinion.
Like Maggie, she has no known last name despite being one of the more prominently featured human characters over the story.
Back to being more focused on this scene itself, I think Nina was checking Crowley out when leaving the table the first time.
Aziraphale is actually really cute in this scene. Both he and Crowley have their lovely chemistry together here.
Checking in with the timeline run down post I've been referencing, this scene is theoretically in the late afternoon around 4:40PM.
That post does not refer to the days, but based on my understanding of how the story eventually unfolds, the implied day at this point is Monday. Nina will call this idea into question in episode 6 by referring to a power outage "last week."

That's it for this post. Way back when I started to track these things, I did have a tendency to update even these posts, so that could happen again, just FYI.

Note
S2 had so many disappearing and appearing objects (like the eccles cakes, the honolulu roast sign) and seemingly missing story elements because Aziraphale and Crowley are the ones telling the plot and they remember some things slightly differently.

amazing race au pleaseeeeee (i live for andreil being chaotic trailblazers)
"It's a Detour!" Phil Keoghan's voice cuts in over the visuals. "Teams must pick one of two Detour options. First is Iron Stomach where the team must work together to first prepare a traditional Kalua pig." Phil Keoghan says over the image of an earthen oven with Kiawe wood, and hot lava rocks, a pig having some of the white hot volcanic rock put inside, the fire being covered by banana stumps, and then the pig being placed on top of those banana stumps before being covered by banana leaf, having some water sprayed onto it and then a sheet placed over it all before it was buried in the dirt. "Next they will head to a different earthen oven to uncover a pig that has been roasting in the traditional way and take it over to the chefs who will then shred the Kalua Pork. Teams will then have to clean their entire plate before they are given their clue." Phil explains the challenge.
"The other option is Iron Man." Phil Keoghan continues as the camera cuts to crystal clear water, 7 bicycles, and finally a beautiful running track. "The 1st Iron Man event was held in 1978 in Honolulu Hawaii before it moved here to the Big Island in 1981. We won't be asking contestants to swim 2.4 miles, bike 122 miles, and then run a 26.2 mile marathon but we will be asking one member from each team that chooses this to swim at least half a mile, bike for 2 miles and run for 1." Phil Keoghan explains. "Their partner will be driven to the finish line where they will need to wait for their partner to finish to receive their clue."
"Contestants can start on the Iron Man Challenge immediately as the start of the swimming portion is right behind me while contestants who choose Iron Stomach will need to make their way to the cooking location 3 miles from the clue box." Phil finishes as the camera cuts to Neil and Andrew.
Neil's eyes widen, "Andrew, can-"
"Give me your bag." Andrew sighs as Neil smiles brightly before handing him his bag and then his shirt before running straight into the water. "He acts like he hasn't run once this entire race." Andrew sighs as he climbs onto the golf cart. "You should hurry, he might beat us there." he says sinking back into the seat as he pulled out dry clothes from Neil's bag.

Under A Blue Hawaiian Moon (Miles Miller x Reader)
Tumblr media
Summary: You and Miles are excited to be going on your honeymoon and can't wait for all the things that await you
Warnings: SMUT 18+ rules apply, breeding kink, etc.
Tagging: @floydsmuse @attapullman @delopsia @callmemana
You and Miles were both nervous and excited as ever to be going on your honeymoon, the memories of your wedding from the night before still fresh in your minds.
You were waiting at the gate for your plane, his father having gone off to grab some food for you, Miles, Kathy and himself before seeing you off. Miles gave your hand a reassuring and excited squeeze, eager to get on the plane and head for Hawaii.
"You excited (y/n)?" he asked.
"More than I've ever been," you chuckled.
Miles pressed a soft, lingering kiss to your lips, his leg twitching with anticipation. Finally, Otis came back with food from one of the restaurants, much to your relief.
"Well, it's not much," he said. "It's the least your mom and I can do for you two."
"Not a problem Dad," Miles answered. "I remember the days back at the hotel when I hardly had a meal."
"And your grandmother would've been horrified had she found out," Otis said, laughing a little. "She'd have you back at the house with a plate full of pot roast, mashed potatoes and her baked carrots waiting for you."
You and Miles both laughed at the thought. Though you had never met Grandma Essie, you still heard all about her crazy stories from Kathy and Otis, wishing with all hope you had been able to meet her.
The four of you ate your mini meals together, watching the planes take off and land. Occasionally you saw a man in uniform stepping off the plane to meet his family, sometimes by himself, other times with a young woman he had met and married overseas. Miles readily recognized an old friend from his army unit coming through the terminal accompanied by his wife, a young Vietnamese girl, and their newborn baby daughter. Miles introduced you and his parents, the young couple staying to talk for a while until their cab came.
"Attention passengers, Pan-Am Flight Eight-Eighty-One to Honolulu Hawaii will now be boarding," the woman at the desk announced.
"That's us," Miles said.
"Alright kiddo, you take care," Otis said, pulling his son in for a hug.
"You too, Dad," Miles replied. "Don't work too hard."
"Hey, telling your father to not work hard is wishful thinking Miles," Kathy chuckled.
"And he's telling that to the idiot who can't sit still for more than five minutes," Otis laughed.
Miles laughed and gave his mother a hug before leading you to the doors to catch the bus to the plane. You both waved goodbye to Otis and Kathy, the anticipation of getting off the ground filling you both from head to toe.
You followed the other passengers up the stairway and into the plane, taking your seats after stowing your suitcases in the overhead. You and Miles closed your eyes and held tightly onto each other's hands as the plane took off down the runway, only leveling out a few minutes later.
“'I thought that Elves were all for moon and stars: but this is more elvish than anything I ever heard tell of. I feel as if I was inside a song, if you take my meaning.' said Samwise” Miles read.
You could've listened to his voice for hours, but you were far too tired. Miles laughed softly as he pulled the blanket over you and tucked you in alongside him. "Get some sleep my sweet pea," he whispered, kissing your temple. "We'll be there in the morning."
You smiled sweetly, taking his hand in yours as you both fell asleep to the hum of the plane. Morning came soon enough with one of the stewardesses waking you and Miles just as the sun was coming up.
"Miles," you whispered. "Miles look!"
Miles peered out the window next to your seats to see a small sliver of land coming into view from below. You both excitedly gasped when you recognized what it was......Hawaii.
**************************
You and Miles could hardly believe how beautiful Hawaii really was until you started exploring the island. You and Miles found all sorts of secluded little beaches and hideaway restaurants in places you wouldn't have expected. You thought you would be staying in the honeymoon suite at a nice hotel, but Miles had other ideas.
The beach cottage was absolute heaven, something you would have seen in a Home And Garden magazine at the grocery store with its big wrap-round lanai and huge banyan trees that gave plenty of shade. Flowers bloomed everywhere in huge bursts of color and in the distance you could see and hear the ocean.
"Oh Miles, this place is beautiful," you gasped.
"Wait till later sweetheart," he said, placing a kiss on your cheek.
You and Miles entered the cool, airy house with its sweeping views of the garden and the beach nearby, the teakwood and rattan furniture giving the place an air of relaxation, something you both desperately needed.
You and Miles stowed your luggage away in the master bedroom and decided to go for a swim in the ocean. You, yourself could hardly take your eyes off of Miles in his tight dark-grey shorts and the gentle swells of his muscles that had come again with the hard work of helping his father run the ranch back in Montana.
You two didn't hesitate to run into the surf, the two of you feeling like children again as the waves rose and fell, carrying you with it, just a little further from the shore. You and Miles bodysurfed your way in and out of the shore, the cool ocean washing the heat from the both of you.
A few of the locals joined you, teaching you both how to surf. You and Miles both fell at least a thousand times before you got back up again, riding the waves until you both grew tired and hungry.
You and Miles went for dinner at a place right on the ocean, your dinner having been caught that morning, grilled with blackening spices and served fresh with a side of steaming white rice and mango and pineapple salsa. When you had both had enough, you and Miles went back to the cottage.
"Mmmm so tired," he hummed.
"C'mere my sweet," you purred.
You kissed him with Miles happily returning the gesture, your hands roaming all over each other and grabbing at the loose little pieces of each other's clothing. Miles deepened it, the salty taste of dinner still on his lips and his tongue as you elicited a moan from his throat.
"Baby," he mumbled under his breath. "My sweet, sweet baby I love you."
You smiled into the kiss, your hand roaming to his neck as your fingertips gently ran down his skin to the buttons on the front of his white shirt. One by one, your nimble fingers undid them, breaking away from the kiss to notice that Miles wasn't wearing a white t-shirt underneath.
Your kissing trailed from his mouth to his neck and all down his chest, parting the white fabric of his shirt just slightly so that you could kiss the little indents in Miles's chest. His moaning was starting to gather that familiar wetness between your legs, even as you pushed his shirt off him.
"Bed....." Miles mumbled. "Bed.....please.....baby.....please lemme lay down......wanna feel you."
You gladly obliged, laying on your back when you were suddenly met with a look from Miles. "No no baby," he said, kissing your cheek. "Want you to ride me."
He rolled over and shifted you so that you were on top of him. He helped you off with your dress and anything else that might have concealed the parts of you that he loved. The last thing to come off were his pants and his shorts, the two of you fully naked in front of each other.
"C'mon sweetheart," Miles said, guiding you down onto his cock. "Don't be scared, you're alright......there we go......good......good girl.....oh look at you.....easy......easy now......"
You gasped a little when you felt him entering you, He was so warm.....and big.....God he was big.
"Miles.....Miles I......"
"Shhhh, it's ok," he said. "You need some help?"
You nodded.
Miles's hands gently gripped your hips, guiding you to make yourself feel more comfortable. "There we go sweetpea......" he said. "That's it.....back and forth.....back and forth......"
A pleasureable moan fell from your lips as he guided you, moving and shifting with your own movements. You both picked up the pace as Miles sat up, your kissing becoming heated, needy and wanting, your hips rocking against each other, desperate for each other's warm friction.
"C'mon baby, harder," Miles panted. "Harder......wanna fill you up so much......give you a honeymoon baby......c'mon baby....."
The filthy things Miles whispered into your ears drove you over the edge, your whimpers, moans and noises growing louder until you both came with each other. Your head came to rest against his shoulder, the explosion of warmth rising into your belly as your heavy breathing had become one.
"You did so good sweetpea," Miles panted. "M'so proud of you."
You giggled as he kissed you. Miles went into the bathroom and turned on the water before he helped you in, filling it with a sweet smelling grapefruit bubble soap.
"Feel better sweetheart?" he asked.
"So much better," you sighed.
The two of you washed each other off in the steaming hot water before crawling back into bed. You both went to sleep with the windows open, listening to the peepers and the ocean waves in the distance, snuggled close together until the morning sun rose again and you awoke side by side with the man you loved.
