Ep9 Queen of tears short review
Again writenim never failed to remind us that hae in is still dying and her sickness is not getting better
The aunt really keep her mouth tied up👍 she keep having the tick tock moment after meeting the kid..I wonder if that the trigger.
Omg ..new man found out about the sickness plus hae in whereabout..I love that he does not share the same goal as his mother.👍 And willing to have hae in her position even mad about chasing the family away👍 like how do they make plan together???
on sung cheol part..man was stupid that he forget the girl..I offended as well
I can feel the girl pain rather than him🤣🤣
But he still love her nonetheless as he said she forgot to bring him as well😅
Gosh when they texting together I was feeling the awkwardness as well ..why they talk more after divorce😫😫
And hae in said to make sure that hyun woo will not feel worried after the matter settled and they could be like a real divorcee..Hurt me as well .
Even hyun woo acknowledge he's divorce.
New man love for hae in stronger than I thought but sadly hae in dying and he does not stand a chance .I wonder how he make himself as hae in legal guardian ..hmm.
Tomorrow ep preview look messed up..

I know I need to calm the fuck down first but one word to describe episode 6: STRESS!!
📍I love seeing Hyun-woo and Hae-in having a...sort of second honeymoon in Germany but I couldn't really enjoy every scene because I'm stressing out at how fucking OBLIVIOUS the Hong family is like bitch y'all are surrounded by snakes and they're so complacent 😭😭😭 I mean it's not really their fault that there are opportunists who'd earn their trust first then slither their way to bite them in the ass, but I just find it ironic at how protective they are at their family business and wealth but they can't see through the REAL people who has every intention to bring them down.
📍Speaking of which, I have read a fan theory somewhere that Mo Seul-hee is the mom of Eun-seong and Da-hye. Could be, OR Grace could be Da-hye's mom considering how Grace acted towards her. But why are they so keen at bringing the Hong family down?
📍Maybe it's just me but I don't think Da-hye is that bad, I have a feeling that she'll eventually come to her senses and take Hyun-woo's side and expose Eun-seong and co.
📍My overthinker/delulu self thinks that Soo-cheol and Da-hye's baby is actually Hyun-woo and Hae-in's kid. I mean, it wasn't shown how they lost their baby...yet. So Hae-in either miscarried, or she gave birth to a still born child? But what if the child is actually alive and one of those evil bitches cooked up some shit to make it seem like Hyun-woo and Hae-in's baby died, and then that baby was registered as Soo-cheol and Da-hye's kid? I know it sounds insane, but we're only on episode 6 so more crazy shit could happen in the future episodes, you'll never know. But my normal self says I've watched too many Filipino dramas growing up (and yes, that shit happens a lot in Filo-dramas).
📍Speaking of that kid, another theory is...what if that kid is actually Eun-seong and Da-hye's? Soo-cheol is a dumbass, and again, those bitches could have manipulated that baby's DNA test result or something. Again, that's just me being an overthinker, also I hate my Filo-drama mindset.
📍Aunt Beom-ja being so concerned about Hae-in and her dad but I also appreciate the fact that she respected her niece's request to not tell anyone about her illness. I also hope that she'll be able to help Hyun-woo clear his name and uncover Seul-hee and gang's dirty little secret.
📍BUT Y'ALL KNOW WHO STRESSED THE SHIT OUT OF ME THIS EPISODE? BAEK FUCKING HYUN-WOO!!! I am so freaking annoyed that he didn't tell Hae-in about the divorce when he had the chance. He was probably worried at how Hae-in would react plus the latter was going through medical treatments so he probably didn't want to put too much stress on her, but Hae-in was bound to find out either way so...yeah I do get why he chose to keep the divorce to himself but he could have just told the truth and suck it up, and perhaps they could communicate better when it comes to issues like this.
📍One thing I noticed about Hyun-woo is that he's brave in so many ways but also a coward on one thing. I mean he talks with Hae-in about nice things and all, and he is his wife's confidante, but I don't think I've ever heard him talk the way Hae-in does, meaning he never had the balls to talk to his wife about the..."unpleasant" side of their marriage. Hae-in was able to talk to him about her illness, the last will and testament that her mom pressured her to write, and Hyun-woo didn't even think about bringing up the divorce papers.
Prior to episode 5, I really thought that Hae-in was the one who shut him out but it was actually the other way around. Wifey may seem cold and nonchalant but if there's one person she'd listen to, it's him. Perhaps he doesn't want to say something that would upset Hae-in but the point is...she's his wife, she's supposed to know what he thinks, how he feels about certain things, even the not-so-pleasant side of their relationship. I really hope that in the next episode or the episode after that he'll be able to communicate better.
📍Hae-in's mom is terrible af. Imagine blaming your own daughter for the death of your son. I mean she didn't deserve to lose a child, but it's unfair to put all the blame on Hae-in (like why?). It's not like she endangered herself on purpose, and she had the audacity to be upset when Hae-in did something nice to her in-laws? Like what is wrong with this woman? Why can't see realize her own mistakes?
📍I kind of teared up when Hae-in was telling Hyun-woo about the things the latter should do when she dies. She could die, and this show might give us a bittersweet ending but when that time comes I'd be really, really hurt. Also, Hae-in confessing that the only reason she wrote her will about Hyun-woo not getting anything should they divorce was so that she'll be allowed to marry him 😭 (just shows she fought hard for him and she'll do absolutely anything to be with him). God I hate her mom! And yes the epilogue was so cute, now we know that they have always been in-love with each other. But I guess...they need a time-out 🤷.
📍Hae-in called Hyun-woo "yeobo" 🥹🥹🥹

Hellbound (Season 2)
TV Shows/Dramas watched in 2024
Hellbound (Season 2, 2024, South Korea)
Director: Yeon Sang Ho
Writer: Yeon Sang Ho & Choi Gyu Seok (based on their own webtoon)
Mini-review:
I feel like I'm one of the few people who loved the first season of Hellbound. It used an original and terrifying concept to showcase a fascinating exploration of themes like religious fanaticism, sectarianism and media manipulation. And this second (and final?) season delivers the goods once again. Yeon Sang Ho continues to be a master director of action scenes, plus the performances he gets from this cast are simply superb. On top of that, the CGI is much better than it was in the first one; I'm glad they made an effort to improve on that. I'm sure many people will stay mad at the show for refusing to give clear answers until the very end, but I think that makes the viewer feel the same chaos as the characters. If this is really the end, I have to say I really enjoyed what this dark fantasy had to offer.

Queen of Tears: KieLo Discussion Post
‼️ Potential Spoilers Below ‼️
Anyone who is watching the show is welcome to join in the discussion🫰🏼
1. Why is Kwan always the annoying little brother 😂 I need to see this man play main love interest or second lead that works his butt off to get the girl.
2. Them having all the son in laws prepare the memorial food was wild...but also amusing. His "What a waste of talent." 😅
3. That blue suit of hers is everything.
I am dying over the hunting episode. Her fan girling over her own husband. Him being afraid to go upstairs. Two idiots.
Colorblind Daddy is even more sinister in this 👀 the dog scene had me so nervous.
NOOO IT WAS THEIR BABY 😭
Nvm her brother also died?
I am caught up 🧍🏻♀️
Just kidding I forgot to post this so Pt. 2:
Her brother AND her baby died, I think. I really truly do not like her mom. I hate the whole boy mom culture.
Omg. Auntie found out. BOYYY. The auntie isn’t going to make it, she's going to slip up.
I cannot stop thinking about how much I love Haein's makeup, it's so minimal in this way that gives off royalty vibes. All the props to the makeup artist and stylists.
DUDE (gn) every time they show us another person who is in on the plot I gasp. My brain has been so fuzzy from the new meds that I am not figuring things out before like I usually do. and I am kinda enjoying it tbh.
Ok so I do have a theory though, stepmom is bad. Colorblind daddy is her child she gave up for adoption...the apple does not fall from in fiction stories typically.

Drama Gossip: Queen of Tears
Source: Google Images
The queen of department stores and her small-town husband weather a marital crisis —until love miraculously begins to bloom again.
Source: Netflix (2024)
This Did Not Go As Plan
What I meant by that, every time I thought the show was going to go a certain way, it does not. This may sound like a complain but it cannot be further than that. Queen of Tears kept surprising me by proving me wrong and that made me like this drama even more than I initially thought I would. I haven't enjoyed a romantic k-drama in so long yet because of how different the romance aspect was in Queen of Tears, it is definitely one of the better romantic k-dramas I've watched in recent years.
I originally watched this drama because of that drunk scene. I wondered what kind of romance this show has to film a scene like that. Imagine my surprise when Queen of Tears began with a severely unhappy marriage. Although the first few episodes were nothing fantastic apart from those comedic scenes, courtesy of Baek Hyun Woo, it was different enough to keep me watching. The romance constantly broke my heart, the drama might have been unoriginal but the way it played out kept me on the edge of my seat all the time. Last but not least, needless to say, the acting was perfection. Honestly, the acting was probably one of the reasons I was captivated by this drama.
All that being said, I simply cannot end my thoughts without a brief discussion on Yoon Eun Sung. I may be in the minority here but I never hated this man. He was annoying most of the time, frustrating some of the time, but he never made me hate him. If I wasn't annoyed or frustrated, I was pitying him. This man is really collateral damage from his mother's schemes. If for once, his mother placed her wants and needs after his, Eunsung could have been in a better place mentally, even if it was for a short while. Unfortunately, he never had the chance with the way he was brought up. Comparing him to his mother, this poor man was not evil, he just...misconstrued his own intentions and act on them in some of the worst ways. I wasn't glad he was killed because he's the villain, I was glad because he finally gets to rest.
To end this off, during the earlier days of Queen of Tears's broadcast, I do believe the show deserves all that hype. Unfortunately, the storyline did fall off near the end. It became a rushed event that we've seen happened in multiple other Korean dramas. The only redeeming factor was the emotions portrayed by the cast. I've never cried so much throughout a 16-episode drama before.
Rating: ★★★★☆
P.S.: Lets be real, Grace was the actual MVP in Queen of Tears.

HELLBOUND 2
GENRES: Drama, Supernatural
SUMMARY: What does it mean to be a sinner? What does it mean to be forgiven? Is it possible to survive Hell?
THIS SHOW HAS EVERYTHING: Cults, hanboks, live-streaming, scheming governments, adorable orphans, solar trains, redemption, nightclubs, hiking, prophecies, and overdue reunions.
HOT TAKE: I tell ya, I'm so grateful that both seasons of this show are so short--these episodes are intense, emotional, and full of action that I'm not sure I would be able to handle the normal 16 ep run.
The stakes are so much higher, our organizations have had time to improve their craftiness and deceit, and the citizens of the world are that much more wary that their time for demonstration is nigh.
Although we are not graced with the acting prowess of Yoo Ah In, I will give credit where credit is due--Kim Sung Cheol did an outstanding job and really made his character his own.

you are my answer— h.js (teaser)
hong jisoo x afab!reader, will be smut, part of the Don’t Listen in Secret series! can be read alone or w/ the other members’ (as of 04/15, cheol, han, & jihoon)
synopsis joshua tries, he really does try to be the calm and composed member, but his patience is just too short. when it runs out, he knows exactly where to go to cool down, or, technically, heat up.
notes fiction. this is fiction. i don’t think shua acts like this. i don’t know him. only a tiny tiny bit of my personal subconscious analysis as a fan and psychology major. i’m not s jihancheol shipper :3 that part is just for laughs ! i love shua and don’t think of him in any strange way… it’s just to build character bc this is fiction. even the parts of him thst i do think are somewhat accurate are more endearing then annoying. if u have a problem lmk. also jeonghan!! dlis!! jeonghan!! ok thanks. 800-ish wordcount. idk when this will be out i’m like 1.6k in so far...
➤ title is from “lean on me” by the one and only seventeen hiphop team.
part of the don’t listen in secret series.

“are you serious right now?”
the voice immediately had you and dokyeom’s eyes enlarge as they made contact with one another. you had been watching seokmin respond to a few fans on weverse, the boy having been recording a cute video of himself before leaving, when a group seemed to enter the hybe hallway.
“calm down-” could be heard in the echo, but you interrupted the voice before the rest of the sentence could be heard.
“can’t use that take,” you made sure dokyeom very carefully clicked the delete button rather than the post to ensure no fans overanalyzed the mystery situation. somewhat hypocritically, you did the same thing you wished others not to do and came to a conclusion as to who one of the voices would be.
joshua was not one to display his anger.
in fact, he was noted as one of the calmest members when it came down to a hasty situation. he was the one to deal with jeonghan’s games and call junhui cute and pat vernon’s head.
and he liked his reputation, he liked being someone that could comfort. only, you knew that even he could get stressed out sometimes, and you knew this very well.
(“it’s so fucking annoying sometimes, like, even if they know i’m the mafia, can’t they just pretend they don’t? maybe they just pick me for fun! i’m a pretty good actor!”
“shua... do you know how to play mafia?”
“i’m better now! i practice sometimes, watch.”)
(“i can’t believe he just fucking ate the cookies. those were literally my favorite fucking cookies—
“shua, you told chan he could have them, in front of me. you said ‘of course you can, channie!’”
“that doesn’t mean he’s supposed to! can you imagine if i told him he can’t eat my cookies?”)
but these were secrets kept from the members. of course, he was more than comfortable around them, but after years of having to work up this image for his idol-side, he can barely swear without following or preceding it with a soft apology through a clenched jaw.
seokmin’s phone clicked off and the two of you finally were in the presence of a seething joshua parallel to a side-by-side seungcheol and jeonghan.
that was definitely concerning.
joshua scoffed. “why should i when i have literally every reason to be upset?”
this particular trio did not often find themselves in disagreements at all, so it was more subconscious for both you and dokyeom to intervene.
once closer, you took in the situation as dokyeom started with a far too happy, “hey guys! what’s going on?” he walked directly among the trio while you kept some distance, a bit behind joshua so he wouldn’t be distracted by your presence.
jeonghan looked a bit uncomfortable, seungcheol had his lips pressed in a thin line, but joshua turned to seokmin. “i wouldn’t know, because these two go everywhere without me recently. have i even seen you guys in the dorms? is it because you two are older than me? are you dating?”
the last one made you cover your mouth with your hand for a moment, dokyeom’s eyes widening and the two oldest members furrowing their eyebrows. seungcheol shook his head and trailed towards joshua’s side. he held one shopping bag in one hand, the brand miumiu, while jeonghan held another, dior. on the way to joshua, he slipped the bag handles out of jeonghan’s fingers, gripping both before presenting them to joshua.
it didn’t take a genius to understand the brands’ significance to joshua. his face fell slightly blank at the epiphany.
“we’re so busy around the time of your birthday, shua, that’s all. we don’t mean to leave you out, never.” he threw an arm around jisoo’s shoulder, and your gaze shifted to jeonghan’s. jeonghan made eye contact with you as if he predicted you would check on him, eyes more relaxed than before. seungcheol started walking, so jisoo starting walking. jeonghan walked a bit in front, looking back at you once. once.
“don’t think so fast. we love you, why would we do that?” cheol continued, joshua’s pursed lips curled into an upside-down smile, not meeting his eyes as much as they usually do.
you could tell there was plenty of room waiting for jisoo to respond, apologize, accept the sweet gesture for his birthday. he seemed to know this too, mumbling an apology for swearing and getting upset. seungcheol nodded and rubbed his shoulder.
you walked further away until you could only faintly make out the second eldest’s, “we wouldn’t date without you, shua-ya.”
joshua was being irrational, jumping to conclusions before even processing what was going on. a bit after you sat back down with seokmin, your phone lit up with a text notification. the expansion read, “im so pissed rn do u know what just happened wait i can tell u if u come over later,” and you pretended your giggle was in response to a funny post rather than his obliviousness. at least shua knew how to manage his anger in a way that left him content.
you didn’t mind it either, what, him fucking you relentlessly instead of actually ranting? why wouldn’t you text him with a confirmation, and why wouldn’t you rummage through your closet for lingerie?

But she doesn't appear to have childhood trauma.) Park Yeon-woo (The Story of Park's Marriage Contract, her mom being annoyed at her for something that is a crime doesn't count as bad parenting) Lee Young-joon/Sung-hyun (What's Wrong with Secretary Kim, his trauma comes from a kidnapper, his parents faced a pretty impossible situation and did their best. They clearly love their kids) Baek Hyun-woo (Queen of Tears, nothing wrong with them out of the ordinary and they are in the drama a significant amount.) Ha Eun-gyeol (Twinkling Watermelon, very loving parents and the deafness and their reliance on him is not anyone's fault)
*Counting her as an orphan even though she gets her parents back after 20 years, she spent her childhood orphaned. ***This character is tricky because I understand why her mother wanted nothing to do with her, but her trying to manipulate the dad and also saying he didn't raise her properly made me so angry. ****This character is tricky because he was explicitly raised as an orphan by his grandma, his father didn't sign his birth certificate (Korean equivalent of this), and he's registered as the child of his grandmother, not his actual mom. His grandma is dead by the beginning of the series and he is living alone without family, so I think he counts as an orphan.
Uncatagorized due to lack of clarity on parents: Soundtrack #1, Hospital Playlist, Happiness
#kdramas#so many orphans#you would think that Korean children never have parents who make it to 60#if they manage to be alive they are the worst

Queen of Tears. 눈물의 여왕. 7.9/10
I wouldn't recommend this drama to my friends. I would rewatch this drama.
Hyeon Tae's face expressions are funny. Lmaoo at when Hae In calls Hyun Woo sexy dynamite. That's too good. I like her lusting over him. Wait so funny when Hae In hits her brother to drink the water and Hyun Woo is like she's not like that to me. Comedy gold. Lol at when we're like how'd you get into Seoul Uni when talking about Hyun Woo being bus man. Same with Young Sook.
The acting chemistry between the protags are flawless to me. Hae In's isolating feeling towards her sickness is so sad. The romance I feel with Hyun Woo's fake actions i feel. Hyun Woo is a hottie husband who always shows up. Wife me up. Jiwon is soo good at facial acting and also she's still so pretty. What a great concept of a show. Hae In following Hyun Woo's bus is shown so cutely. I'll date you Soo Cheol. His love for his family is so beautiful. But, Hyun Woo, wife me up. He's such a simple, adorable, smart guy. Damn that glass seal is cool. Damn this wine collection is awesome. I like the Beomja and Hyunwoo duo. I like Hyunwoo and Haein's dads supporting each other, especially watching a drama together. I love Hyunwoo's parents. I love the epilogue. Not this miracle of Hae In's memory journal surviving. Ohoo at Soo cheol's improved biking.
Eeek! so cute when Hyun Woo zooms to Hae In on their first night together. Hehe at Hae In's "왜 저래, 진짜?" when she thinks Hyun Woo wants to come into her room. I squeal. Her reopening her feelings is so cute.
Hae In's memory flashes are so scary.
Da Hye's ex is disgusting. Eun Sung is manipulation 101. Eun Sung picking up Hae In's journal thing for after surgery is a big nono. My anger at Eun Sung's behavior post-surgery and destroying the journal. Why does Moh Seulhee fit so perfectly in prison.
I'm crying the whole time Hae In goes to Germany alone and her aunt finding out about the illness. I'm crying so much at Hyun Woo telling his mom about Haein's illness. I'm crying so much at Soo Cheol loving his family so much. There's no stopping my bawling in all the scenes after Haein reveals to the press that she's sick. Ep. 11 is a killer.
I can't imagine wanting someone dead and then later reigniting the old love.
Song Joong Ki's appearance was so random. lol. Also the fact that he's Vincenzo here. LOL at Hong Jin Kyung's cameo.
It's actually tragic what a horrible life Eun Sung had because of his own psychoness and his mom's. Like he's out here just loving, but he happens to be crazy about it. He could've had the girl and a mom in another life, you know.

Ep8 Queen of tears short review
So lots of pain as predicted ..the Vincenzo cameo were not so much.. i still feel pain..the most pain on hyun woo getting kicked out and beom ja aunt getting hit by his father.
Like I said hyun woo always fix the queen problem.
The way the plan works like river flown and it was too late than ever for grandfather.
On sung cheol part was for me not necessary why she leaving him? She could have stay and rule with ahjuma and new man.
Well that's going to be known in more ep ahead.
And they have divorced ,I was expecting them not to ..but they did..and hyun woo mother..I can't 😭😭
At this point what would be my driving force to watch queen of tears??
At least they could patch it up later but with hae in sickness at cost
I love how writernim incorporated all song joong ki character in Vincenzo but I was not feeling it..as the couple divorcing..
Only ep8 and they already divorcing..should have let them be ambiguous still.
I don't know at this point.
For me I curious about sung cheol..poor guy at the same time he is the main key after all for the plan to work when I think about it.
I hope he brighten up after this althought it would be hard.
Will add photos later on the post when I'm in the mood coz I'm not😅
Update :add some but not much

BAAAAAAAABES OMG!!!! EPISODE 10 IS GIVINGGGGG!!!
It's giving cuteness, it's giving love, it's giving ✨QUEEN✨ it's giving fucking satisfaction my loves!
📍Let's start off with some really funny scenes brought to you by Hong Mama, it's so freaking satisfying to see her get humbled over and over and over again! Her getting off of her high horse has been long overdue tbh, that scene when she finally got her salary after work, only for Baek Mama to deduct it for the coffee she paid for (her), God her face was priceless. Everyone say it with me, "DESERVE!" Perhaps Mama Baek can teach her a thing or two about mothering. It's about time she learns that too.
📍Papa Hong and Papa Baek having a heart-to-heart conversation over their frustrations at losing something, and almost everyone seems to turn their backs on them. Them bonding over Kdrama while having a drinking session at the same time is probably one of the most wholesome scenes in the show.
📍Mama Baek being such a loving mama to Hae-in 😭😭 even though it's clear that she loves her son, she didn't tolerate Hyun-woo's bullshit when the latter confessed about Hae-in's illness and the divorce. I hope all parents will take note of this: you don't tolerate your kids' wrongdoings, you make them own up to their mistakes and guide them in doing the right thing. That's why Hyun-woo knows how to take accountability, his mother taught him well.
📍Soo-cheol is actually growing on me. He's an immature idiot at first, but he really has a big heart. He's the one who got fooled and dumped on yet he still worries over baby Geon-u and Da-hye. Yes he was hurt, but he loves Da-hye so much that he can't even bring himself to be angry at her. He sees the goodness in her and points at the right person who caused their family to crumble. I can't wait for him to man up and fight to bring his family back.
📍Oh my beautiful BaekHong, the "divorced" couple who acts like they're still married. Hae-in acting like a typical wife who scolds her husband for getting into trouble, but still takes care of him anyway and Hyun-woo the boxing champion trembling at his angry wife 🤣.
📍I also love the fact that they finally have that much needed talk about their marriage, what went wrong, what they could have done, and Hyun-woo having no regrets at marrying Hae-in and would gladly choose her again and again. Dear Lord, where can I get myself a Baek Hyun-woo?
📍But damn Hae-in exposing Eun-seong during the press conference was the BEST!!! Dude was so sure he was gonna marry her but Hae-in isn't the queen of Queens for NOTHING. He really did underestimate her, I kid you not when I say that I literally flipped my middle finger when the camera focused on Eun-seong *clears throat* with all due respect to Park Sung-hoon, you are a great actor sir but I loathe your character. Yoon Eun-seong is the very definition of "delulu is the solulu" again, Hae-in would rather die than be with him, and since this episode is so satisfying, I'm gonna save my rant for the next episode.
📍I have always loved the dynamics of Hyun-woo and Hae-in, they may be different in a lot of things but they complement each other in so many ways. For example, when someone is trying to fuck up the other, or when one of them is in danger, there will be hell. Hyun-woo is very protective of Hae-in, he'll fight tooth and nail for her even if it means getting hurt in the process. This man will fight for her to the death. Hae-in on the other hand is the type of person who would rather take all the pain to herself than seeing her loved ones suffer. She will never stand back when it comes to Hyun-woo, and when someone tries to fuck him up, she'll go above and beyond to save him, and she'll give you hell if you mess with her husband. Since the beginning they have always fought for each other, but in the next coming episodes I hope they'll learn to fight together because seriously, they are such a power couple.
📍Hae-in still calls Hyun-woo her husband 🥹🥹
📍Shout out to Grace for not being too stupid, you have chosen the right team to help ma'am. And Da-hye...girl, come back already.
