okay so hear me out i have a genius idea

yanqing in sumeru. (yes, the obvious option would be to put him in liyue, but i honestly don't feel like writing that right now).

yanqing and cyno interactions.

YANQING AND WANDERER INTERACTIONS.

now that i've caught your attention-

yanqing falls through a wormhole or something. ends up stranded in sumeru. like, right in sumeru city. he wakes up in an alleyway and is like genuinely, what the mcflipping fuck. so he wanders through sumeru, talks to a few people who have NEVER heard of the xianzhou luofu, and eventually, someone reports him to the corps of 30 because there is an unsupervised foreign child who keeps on talking about a xianzhou luofu, what the FUCK is a xianzhou luofu.

they take him in to the matra, he answers a couple of questions, EVERYONE involved is confused as shit, so they pull out cyno. yanqing talks to him and hes like. you remind me of my dad. hahaha. and cyno is like. okay this kid is telling the truth. so we're gonna have to keep him around until we figure out a way to send him back to the luofu.

(this gets really long)

he does not want to go into a fucking rainforest, so he ends up rooming with kaveh & alhaitham after spending a few nights with nahida and bonding with her (i believe they r friends,,,) and she reccomends that he go to stay with them. yanqing is very polite and doesn't make his prsence known a lot because he is genuinely kind of afraid of the two of them even tho they are really nice to him, and one day he goes out and he just wanders through the streets of sumeru and bumps into the wanderer. he introduces himself as 'hat guy' and a friend of nahida's, so yanqing is like, oh, cool. wait, what? your name is HAT GUY?

cue bullying wanderer. and wanderer is like, this kid doesn't know who he's fucking talking to wtf and maybe they end up sparring or something. i think they would bond over fighting and yanqing would pick up a few tips and tricks from wanderer, who probably is secretly like, 'this kid has talent what the fuck where did this child even come from'. eventually after they spar for a bit yanqing ends up telling him more about the xianzhou and from that interaction with wanderer, he starts to come out of his shell more. he eats dinner with kaveh and alhaitham, and gets used to their bickering. he goes to see cyno again and meets tighnari and collei, even faruzan who probably takes a liking to him. people take him to nilou's shows. when candace and dehya visit from the desert he gets to meet them too.

and slowly, over time, they start to get to know him more. he tells them stories of the high cloud quintet, from their rise to their fall. he tells them about the borisin, and hoolay, and feixiao. he tells them about jiaoqiu and his bravery, sushang and her determination, huohuo and tail. he tells them about yunli's bravery and brashness, about jing yuan's patience and slyness, of moze's shennanigans and loyalty.

he tells them broken bits and pieces of stories and then, he tells them about the xianzhou history. he tells them about mara. he tells them about how he's had to cut down soldiers so much older than him that he wouldn't even know when they were born.

he tells them about the disciples of abundance, in little, clipped stories.

and they listen.

he draws his friends, too. he's not too great at it, but he draws them, and tells cyno that he reminds him so much of his dad. he plays tcg with them, joins them for game night. drags wanderer into social interactions, explores sumeru, watches the sun set from the trees.

he makes them little mementos of himself. he commissions someone to make a little bird charm out of materials he gathers up. and then he gives them to his friends, and when jing yuan inevitably comes to see him home (he wants to go back, he loves it here but he loves his home more) they will be able to remember him.

yanqing learns that defeat is okay. he learns that he can be loved. and that people are really complex, and that love can be shown in different ways. yanqing learns that he can love, too. :)

Too cute

so my cats do this thing where they will groom each other, nap a bit, then start snapping at each other until they have a chase around the house

It was really difficult to cull this list, so I chose ones that seemed fun or obvious from my character list. The experience illuminated the separation and overlap between whumpable characters and ones you want to mess up with your own hands oop.

Omegas who elicit cuteness aggression:

Jihyun (V)

Extremely biteable, extremely squishable, much more playful rather than passive after he learns how to put up boundaries. He's especially nice to overstimulate because he gets wriggly and does a particularly weird thing where he chirps at you, like calling you, and yes, it is very sweet because it's like a reassurance thing, but also it's a bit silly how it gets faster and more frequent the most overstimulated he is. He does overlap quite strongly with a whump factor. He is very pretty when he cries and when he behaves gently or pitifully this makes him even more biteable. Pounce on him. Nicely.

Alucard

Blonde goth sad boy aesthetic, especially with the season 4(?) outfit, makes you want to hug him. Harder. Harder!!! Squeeze him hard!! Luckily, he's very durable and tolerates this with good grace. Biting is interesting because of the whole vampire thing, which I like to think is mutually erotic if you both bite one another. He develops a bit of a degradation thing at some point, and he'll get cute and bratty if you tease him about being a needy little thing, letting you punish or goad him into compliance. He also has overlap with the whump part of the venn diagram but probably don't squish him when he's actually feeling down. Measure out the cuteness aggression by kissing him lots, it'll make you and him feel better.

Joanne Harcourt (before anyone gets stupid, when I talk about Joanne Harcourt he is of course aged up, having survived having the Earl Phantomhive as a friend and hopefully graduated from fantasy Eton little worse for wear)

Joanne gets overwhelmed easily, and whines and trembles when he is. It is exceedingly cute. Tall and willowy with a shy demeanor, luminous eyes, and lightly wind-blushed cheeks (oxford commas!), Joanne is a true English-rose of an omega in traditional high collars and never caught without gloves. If you want to be the one to mess him up with your own hands, you have to be a little bit willing to growl at other alphas who want to do the same but won't take responsibility for it. However, Joanne doesn't carry a strong "whump" factor. He mostly seems to elicit pity and protective instincts when he interacts with the worse part of Phantomhive's magic nonsense, or the underbelly of London.

Kunikida

I never said acting on cuteness aggression is smart with every omega. The first time you finally give in and just... nibble on him, I think Kunikida would start yelling "ouch, what was that for, what a degenerate alpha doing this where anyone can see" yadda yadda, etc etc, honestly a total diva about it, okay maybe you feel a tiny bit guilty, but that is what you love about him. He has a cranky old man attitude, no filter, and a tsundere demeanor that absolutely doesn't land with everyone, but it's extremely funny to make him mad, you get why Dazai does it, and in your case the more he puffs like a done kettle, the more you want to pin him down and make him yell more (he yells after you leave him covered in marks too 😈, it's a shame you're too tired from making them to do more)

Megumi

Triggers cuteness aggression and is just aggressive rip. Snappish, sullen, extremely shy when he reciprocates romantic affection (because it means confronting feelings besides justified irritation and righteous anger and self-effacement). You'd think he'd have Sasuke energy but he's more grumbly than outright lowkey hateful to individuals but does occasionally exhibit some like, aggressive puppy behavior, including the "gets tired and just lays tummy-up on the floor". He's also a little bit used to it. His... Gojo, Gojo's alpha, his sister's friends (Tsumiki knows him too well to be taken in most of the time), Yuuji, Maki... you get it. It's that cute face and "you can't make me admit I like attention" that draws everyone.

Sasuke

Unlike his glass doll of a brother, Sasuke can take some roughhousing and is used to it... from his brother, but also from Shisui and some other cousins/mentors (more on this later). He's sort of resigned to it when he first realizes his alpha is sneaking in some extra squishing or nibbling (as long as it's not so visible it ruins his image). Later though, he starts to expect it and will pout mightily if you don't roughhouse with him extoling both his behavioral and physical delights. This happens the first time during a heat and he is ruthless after, due to being thoroughly embarrassed. When you tone it down to give him time to calm down... he gets petty. Don't you think he's cute anymore! Why aren't you pinching his thighs or his butt when he walks by, why don't you "sneak" up behind him and burry your face in his shirt! Thus comes a rare moment of him sitting on your lap when you're reading and intentionally being cute and putting your hand on his legs to tell you to get on with it again.

Jiaoqiu

The first thing is he makes cute sounds. When he yawns it's like a kitten or a puppy yawning. If you rub his ears or massage behind them, he can make this high-pitched sighing sound that is so cute it literally can flatten someone. The second thing is that his fur parts are so soft he has to scold you for touching him too much/all the time, squeezing too hard like a rambunctious pup. If you look pathetic about it, he will show you how to grab him in ways that are not uncomfortable (and my even lead to something else 😉). The third thing is he is cute when he is cooking (or making medicine but we have to have some self-control). He hums to himself and shuffles in place like he's dancing when he's cooking, and he's so happy when something tastes good. He doesn't cry but super spicy things still make him look uncomfortable and there's something to be said for having to baby him while he's enjoying the pain.

Sunday

He is typically so stiff and anxious it is very difficult to find him doing anything interesting enough to be considered cute, unless you clock this behavior as just really strange and then it becomes sad because it's to do with the collision of personality and upbringing making him really scared to make a "wrong" move. This isn't the part that inspires cuteness aggression. When he finally loosens up (literally, like his tie isn't tight enough to choke him anymore if he's not keeping perfect posture), that's when this show of trust and vulnerability inspires a slightly unfortunate urge to do to him what you cannot reasonably do to small, cute animals. His alpha feel really badly the first time they leave bruises from grabbing his thighs far too hard. Sunday is scared by the cognitive dissonance of his sculpted persona not being the kind of person to let his happen and the marks being result of an unguardedness that felt so good it feels wrong now that he's out of that headspace. It takes a lot of work both with and without a partner to for him to accept the natural messiness of intimacy.

Levi

Oh boy, another grumpy old man. At this point, I think it's to do with my tastes, but I won't apologize for it! Personally, I find the grumpiness cute, like with a grumpy cat. Rbf-disgruntled Levi is just a cute Levi (can be drawn in for some mutual snarking if in public, otherwise just be near him so he's not awkward and alone), a sleepy Levi is a cute Levi (that needs your shoulder as a pillow stat). He's not so cute when he's dressing down a cadet who nearly took another cadet's head off but at least that's not you because Levi has a competency kink. He has this very alert yet relaxed, dare I say perky, way of walking when you tidy your shared spaces to his satisfaction, it makes his butt look very cute and he kind of knows it. Mostly he's the target of cuteness aggression when you're being intimate together. His face just makes you want to bite him and touch him and make him cry more, he needs to fall apart and let you take care of everything.

Omegas with cuteness aggression:

Dazai

He's someone who makes you want to mess him up. Those big pouty eyes, and soft, mischievous mouth, the lanky clumsiness all puts ideas in your head all too easily. However, your impulse absolutely pales compared to his. Dazai is someone who goes above and beyond the simply "want to bite, want to squeeze, want to pinch" of cuteness aggression (see exhibit A, blowing up an old partner he has complex feelings for's car). He isn't destructive with his Alpha, but he isn't above tricking them into situations he will find them cute or responding in a cute way. Innocent methods include trying on cute accessories and going extra cute cafes so his alpha get excited about the food. Less innocent methods include getting himself used as ransom or putting you in a situation where you experience other emotional upheaval (with a suitable catharsis of course).

Obito (and Tobi)

I mean, you had to see this coming, right? The jokester with a savior complex, ridiculously devoted to the people he loves, puts them on a pedestal. Of course he has moments where he thinks his alpha is the cutest thing in the world. And then there's this itch in his teeth that can't be satisfied by anything except for biting, or wrestling, pushing, shoving, play fighting. A non-massacre Obito tones it down a littlem but he's well known to simply enjoy cute things, small animals, sweet old people, butterflies. No one's surprised that he chooses an alpha who matches this aesthetic sensibility of his. He has ADHD so bad (basically as bad as Naruto) and one of the things he hyper-focuses on is his mate, to the point he'll have something similar to Kakashi vs Guy level fights around the village where his blood is pounding, he keeps looking behind him, grinning like mad because isn't his alpha just perfect, so cute how they can't catch him yet, that focused look on their face, ah, that's a clone, the real one's on his left. They've got him and he's got them.

Jōno

Are all of these omegas a little scary?! Scary pretty husbands. Yes. A rarer but no less beloved breed. It doesn't matter than Jōno can't see you, since he can sense changes in your moods and hear everything (rip to your privacy when he's curious). He finds it extremely cute when his alpha is flustered, if his alpha laughs quietly and no one but him can tell they think something is funny, if his alpha gets irritated by people being rude and uses their skills to fix the problem (or even if they just grit their teeth and bear it to preserve decorum), if his alpha does silly things like stockpile way too much of a favorite snack when it's on sale... He knows some of it's silly, but apparently silly is what love makes you. His version of cuteness aggression ranges from saying he wants you to guide him and mushing himself against your side and grabbing your arms too tight to fantasizing about living his life as a vapor so that he can literally sink into your lungs and tissues. He knows this is abnormal, but so is a lot about him, so he keeps these thoughts mostly to himself and limits himself to using very small parts of himself (mostly with permission) or just pressing himself as tightly to your body as possible.

Itachi

Itachi also elicits cuteness aggression, but his reaction outweighs his alpha's and he also gets overwhelmed with others offering those kinds of outbursts at him so he prefers his alpha not to do it [too aggressively]. His cuteness aggression = his feral kitten energy showing. It started with Sasuke. Itachi finds Sasuke unutterably adorable. However, itach is also very reserved and has limited attention to dispense to others, so apart from holding Sasuke all the time when he was a baby and later finding that his hands sort of clench and his teeth ache when his alpha does something very attractive (mitigated by his shuffling closer and perhaps tugging their sleeve so they scent him thoroughly and make him melty and too weak to do anything silly), he never acts on it. Even when he knows what the feeling is, it's mildly disturbing for him to be hit with a destructive urge directed at someone infinitely precious to him, so he mostly attempts to resist it. He's happy enough with a pillow to make biscuits upon if you give it to him (but he'll also be happy to do something like suck on your fingers).

Haku

Haku has a strong affinity for dark mischief and the attitude that necessity is a good excuse for any course of action. He has no qualms about an urge to squeeze his alpha until their bones creak or shaking them until they're dizzy or gnawing on them while they pat his head or biting at their neck and chest and scratching them silly until even they struggle or, or.... okay better calm down now. Sometimes his mate catches him staring at them with this rather intense look, smiling, leaning his head on his hand. Every time you ask him what he's thinking about, he says something that is either nonsensical, or simply distracting like how he spotted a bird in the plants behind you, or something embarrassing about how much he appreciates you, or some other compliment. It's disarming because he's a teeny tiny bit concerned you'll be taken aback by what's in his head. It's better to fantasize anyway where reality cannot bridge the gap.

Lucio

Lucio has a really bad case of cuteness aggression, and he's both obnoxious and loud about it. He's also kind of a wimp though so it comes across more like his typical bratting behavior and is pretty easy to turn the tables on him. Unlike some of the others, this doesn't quiet his mind and get him to back off but makes him more aggressive. If you get him into a spare room or a dark corner, or even his room since somehow the count doesn't do any counting, trying to deal with him, he just gets mouthier and mouthier until the exertion catches up with him and the energy is all worked out. He'll openly say whatever he is thinking. To others, if they were to hear, it may seem a bit scary, but his alpha treats him more like one of his big hounds, ruffling his hair, tickling his tummy, and his teeth aren't so sharp for them.

Asra

I'm pretty sure he engages in some behavior drawn from this emotion in the game. Asra's icon is a fox and his familiar is a snake, he loves twisty puzzles and causing an innocent amount of trouble. Sometimes you catch him digging his fingers into his scarf or bag and staring at you, his lovely eyes practically predatory. He's entirely unrepentant about it. Biting his alpha is something he portions out, lest they get used to it, because the cute, surprised yelp is part of the charm. His cuteness aggression is primarily contained within his thoughts, during which he will just sit happily or wriggle around in a stack of pillows while thinking about the cute things his alpha has done.

Yoshida

He already "liked" Denji so much he ***** and helped ****** and got him*******, it might be scarier to see what he does to someone he loves. Octopi often cannibalize their mates too, as he frequently reminds you when he starts nibbling on you while you're still knotted together. Yoshida is very good at blending in, remaining just the right amount of visible, but with his alpha, he likes to flirt, to fluster, to make them slightly embarrassed or knock them off balance. He likes to cling and suck bruises on your skin, mostly for him, but it's nice when someone who's looking sees it and gets secondhand embarrassment, especially when his alpha mostly looks shy and a bit pleased, like he's given them an amethyst or ruby or a mother-of-pearl to wear rather than just a bruise.

Honorable mentions:

Fukuzawa and Akutagawa both inspire semi-infrequent bouts of cuteness aggression. Fukuzawa usually tolerates his alpha's with good grace, although he feels a bit cornered if you're loud about it out of doors, he is deliciously quiet, if that's a turn-on for anyone. If you try and bite Akutagawa without warning... you'll end up being very grateful for his good reflexes. He doesn't like it much. He's afraid he'll hurt you so probably don't startle him, okay?

Satoru has a mild case of cuteness aggression, but he isn't used to touching people, so he mainly acts annoying about it when he finds you cute. Sometimes he'll yank you in and rub his cheek on you, but it's all an act, usually to put some nosey omega off. Shisui can be an abominable menace in the same vein, eating with his eyes and storing away every memory of anything that endears him since he's unused to contact not associated with either family or violence. Before he's comfortable, he'll do it the same way, too possessive to let the one he wants completely go, but knowing he can't flaunt a claim he doesn't have with anymore more substantial than his presence. Satoru occasionally does something so cute his alpha wants to run at his screaming to bite his throat, but he usually ruins it by saying something stupid. The same impulse in Shisui's alpha scares him so he does the same, redirecting them, once by giving them a literal chew toy, which was a very low moment for their ego.

Aventurine likes to annoy people he finds fascinating. It wasn't always this way, but he likes to give real excuse to people he's worried won't like him, rather than have them hate him for his eyes or his blood or his money or his unattainability or his slutty waist or any of a dozen other things he hardly has control over. When he finally is interested in an alpha, the interest is both irritating and endearing (for him). When he finds them cute, there several layers of panic suddenly embedded under that feeling, under that desire. This ratchets his emotions up high enough that suddenly he wants you small enough to squeeze in his palms, wants to strangle you with pearls, wants you studded with emeralds and sapphires and rubies like they'd made up a stained-glass window you crashed through. The world made sure he was perfectly capable of very visceral violence and he has a very good memory. He bares his teeth in the mirror and sees if he can scare you off so he can stop worrying about this new vulnerability.

Toge lives daily with the knowledge that opening his mouth could hurt his mate very badly, a fact which easily lends itself to intrusive thoughts. He could make them do anything, embarrass them by demanding cute but embarrassing behaviors, command them to stop breathing unless they're looking at him, tell them come to me and see how far they'll go to do so, beg them to put their mouth on him just so he can see that adorable, glassy-eyed looked they get when they taste him for long enough. In some ways they're nice fantasies, where he has a voice he's able to use, where the danger sealed inside him is dangerous but also, not really because it's not his mate, it's a figment of his imagination. When he sees his mate do something cute, habit denies him, but his chest aches to say something but saying anything normal could have unbearable consequences. Sometimes, when his mate catches him in the midst of these daydreams, it helps him to just squeeze them hard and purr, making some kind of noise that tells them how he really feels.

Jiaoqiu: *listening to music*…..!? General?

Feixiao:*opening door* Heh, wow. Hand on the doorknob and you already knew. I guess what they say about heightened senses is true. You might be able to hear Moze at this rate.

Jiaoqiu:My ears have always been good, but it’s actually your scent that gave it away. I’ve been by your side a long time after all.

Feixiao:Clearly. You’re comfortable enough to boldly talk about my scent of all things. Any normal woman would berate you.

Jiaoqiu:I guess I’m lucky you’re an extraordinary one then. *smiles*

Feixiao:….How has your day been?

Jiaoqiu:Moze stopped by earlier to aid me in making a meal. In the end, we ordered take out.

Feixiao:I’m sorry.

Jiaoqiu:Hehe, what for? We knew the attempt was rather audacious. Apparently both of us have yet to regain complete steadiness when it comes to holding a blade. He should be fine in a few more days. As for I, well, it’s probably for the best I don’t make another attempt at mincing for the time being. How was your day?

Feixiao:Time never stops. Even at my speed. I got through it all though.

He hears her footsteps draw closer until his mattress begins to sink in beside him. Feixiao’s breathing was both steady and subtle. Those two things alone told him that her physical health was stronger than ever.

Jiaoqiu:Sounds like regular day, with a little added weight of the future. Please remember to pace yourself. Recovered or not, I think many would agree you and many others earned an opportunity to slow down if only for a few days.

Feixiao:I’m okay. Nothing a good night’s rest won’t fix.

Jiaoqiu:Is that so? So, was there anything you wanted to tell me? Despite what I just said, I’m sure you’re pretty busy.

Feixiao:I need an excuse to se- visit you? It’s only natural I stop by at least once a day.

Jiaoqiu:I’m touched. Still, I can operate a phone. You don’t have to go through the trouble of-

Feixiao:It’s not trouble. It’s…It’s never going to be trouble; so don’t ever call it that.

Jiaoqiu:…Do you remember what I told you at the Alchemy commission? Feixiao, do not weigh yourself down with regrets I do not have myself. My choices are my own.

Feixiao:And I dare not deny that or tarnish your efforts with “regret.” That being said, you can’t tell me not to be angry with myself; with the situation ahead. You tell me to pace myself and honestly, you’re right.

Jiaoqiu:But? There’s always a “but” with this.

Feixiao:My vows to both The Hunt and you are absolute. My only annoyance is if my own vision wasn’t so integral for the battles ahead, then the wouldn’t be a thing in the universe stopping me from giving you an eye.

Jiaoqiu:…Hmm, after all these centuries of calling me the dramatic one, you go ahead and say such a thing.

Feixiao:What can I say? You are the company you keep, and I have a pretty over the top doctor hehe.

Jiaoqiu:You know I’d never take it. Even if it was just one. Being blind is a learning curve yes, but nothing I won’t master. And just like you wouldn’t dare jeopardize or rush your vow to lead the charge, there’s no need to find help for me quickly.

Jiaoqiu:Feixiao, I must tell you something. I don’t fear missing out on seeing what may come and we both know I will still be by your side anyway I can. I don’t even fear forgetting your face, because it’s not possible. For ages now, anytime I ever closed my eyes, I’d still see you with that famous smile of yours. Crystal clear, like an undisturbed lake. Even now, I see you. So please, wipe your tears and keep those ears high.

Called out, plain and simple. Feixiao hadn’t stifled a single breath and yet somehow she was now fully convinced he knew exactly how her tears ran down her face and the way her ears fell in anguish. Feixiao wasn’t sure if she should let out a sad chuckle or simply strike the pillow nearby to get rid of any amount of frustration.

Slowly, his hand reached for her and Feixiao was quick to take hold; she moved in as could as possible, practically climbing on to him and hugging him tightly. There was no need to hide her face and yet Feixiao buried it into the crook of his neck while he rubbed her back gently. This was beyond frustrating in a way she had never realized. Was this a fraction of how he felt everyday, searching tirelessly for a cure all for her sake?

Feixiao:The strength you hold is truly something to behold, Jiaoqiu.

Jiaoqiu:I didn’t gain it alone. I was inspired. I’m still inspired. *hugs tighter*

Feixiao:I suppose I will listen to my doctor’s advice this time and allow myself to shorten my stride just for a while. I’m staying right here.

Jiaoqiu:A fine choice I welcome completely. *rests his head* I really do… love this scent.

HSR 2.5 STORY LEAKS ~ HSR 2.5 STORY LEAKS

I will say that if those Moze leaks end up being true, then the Yaocule trio of him, Feixiao and Jiaoqiu gets such new layers

Like, theyre the two most important people on the yaoqing and this random foxian fresh out of retirement, whose life mission is fixing ailments with like,,, fettuccine? And he doesn't even know that one of the people he's constantly hanging out with (who he seems to live with on Feixiao's estate???) is like. The Fucking Guy. Every interaction now gets this shadow of dramatic irony where Moze could probably get the ultra prince treatment but has chosen to sit at the bottom of this hierarchy for. Some reason.

Anyway it is very funny and honestly pretty revealing about his character.

His outfit is a pain and the only reusable part is the pants

The armor is all thin foam and stiff fabric

You don’t know where your child got their energy from because it certainly wasn’t their father

And they’re partial to the lion onesie Jing yuan got them, so they keep insisting they can just be Mimi

But Jing Yuan’s been having a rough week, so you’re determined

You get them dress just as the door opens, which means they’re too distracted to try and take it off

“Daddy!” “My, my, is that the dozing general of Luofu? To what do we owe the pleasure of such a distinguished guest?” “Daddy, it’s me!”

All in all, he thinks it’s adorable and is overjoyed

Blade

Your child’s development has been quite the journey for Blade

Even before his turn to cynicism he never saw himself as the fawning type

Sure, kids were cute, but cute kids were just cute kids

It was very different when it was his own, at least that’s how he found it

Your kid could never wear this outfit outside, unfortunately it was inappropriate to dress up as major terrorists

But Blade was away and even though he hadn’t said anything, the uptick in calls and texts told you he missed you two

So you had Kafka get the tailor that made Blade’s uniform to make you a smaller version

Your kid was overjoyed to dress up as their dad

“Where did you get that?” “Hi daddy!” “Hello little keeper. Now, Y/n, where did you get that?”

He’s happy, and honestly it reassures him that neither of you fear him

Sunday

I think Penacony Sunday’ kid would be dressed as him by accident

As the head of the Oak family, appearances are important and so it only makes sense his child would be well dressed

It’s not identically though, mostly just the same colors in a more child friendly outfit

If you were to actually dress your child up as him, i think he’d be sad because I don’t think he wants his child to end up like him

Fugitive Sunday though, I think like Blade he sees it as an extreme act of love

He’s done some bad things, he’s abandoned everything he ever knew but you’ve accepted that and love the new him

If you got together after he became a fugitive he sees it as an affirmation that he’s on the right track, and if you were together during Penacony he sees it as an affirmation that you still love him

“Da! Daaaa!” “What is it little-” “I’m you!”

All in all, a bittersweet moment

Jiaoqiu

If it’s before he’s blinded, he uses it as an excuse to take them to work and teach them stuff

He lets them play with some of his less expensive and easily acquired ingredients

Turns out his child has a knack for making poison… maybe he should start by teaching them how to cook

It’s a bit of a game, honestly, you and your kid stifling giggles as they ask to be picked up

You got the fabrics and textures matched exactly in hopes that he’ll be able to figure it out by feel

The way his face wrinkles in confuses as he doesn’t recognize the clothes is funny, and the outfit certainly isn’t right for a playful child

“What are you wearing? Did you get new clothes?” “I’m dressed like you!” “Is that so? Are you going to help me with my work then?”

All in all he has fun with it

Oh you know I think it's actually kind of nice that Jiaoqiu is blind. I mean not nice but you get what I'm saying. Hoyo doesn't exactly have a lot of disabled characters so I think it's interesting to see that they actually made a playable character disabled. I do think it'd be nice if they gave him a cane or something similar. Well they probably won't do that honestly. I'll just count on the fans to give him one. Anyway my point is it's nice to see a disabled character in game though the way it happened sucked dick and balls and even ass.

I JUST FINISHED 2.5'S QUEST SPOILERS BELOW THE CUT

Onwards

THAT WAS ONE HELL OF A TWIST! Honestly i'm totally on board with this answer. Ever since Swarm Disaster, Yaoshi and Tazzyronth's connections have been called into question. The idea that Tazzyronth can be used to stop Yaoshi is DELICIOUS and it totally recontextualizes why Ruan Mei was experimenting with the Swarm Emanator (RUAN MEI NATION WE ARE WINNING!!!)

Honestly I did not expect this possible team up. Ruan Mei was such a perfectly maneuvered character, everything set up around her suddenly clicks into place. Tingyun being brought back raises questions. It seems Ruan Mei is the one facilitating this revival of her so it begs to question if the "fossils" Welt and Himeko were delivering were actually Tingyun's body. In that case, who took the body and if it's Phantylia, does that mean they're working together?

This also calls Luocha into question. How did he get his hands on a piece of Tazzyronth, a piece of the Divine Body left behind from Qlipoth's hammer? How did they make a deal? This is so juicy and i've got so many more questions than answers at this point. I have so many thoughts I need to gather them in the meantime so brace for more analysis.

Also if that truly is a piece of Tazzyronth body, it must have a relation to Yaoshi's existence because it takes the form of vines. It has some kind of consciousness. The fact it's seen as a "final nail" is so interesting.

Also this is more of a personal note, but I wonder if Luocha can heal Jiaoqiu's eyes. He was able to heal Xueyi's mechanical body so I don't think it's outside the realm of possibility.

It sucks we're probably gonna be going back to Penacony next patch, hopefully we at least get playable Sunday out of it.

I’m going to be honest, it was pretty tough to match you up; I had way too many options that I was looking through. Unfortunately for me, I have a bad habit of hyperfocusing on the first character that comes to my head, so Jiaoqiu it is!

Ironically, I do believe he’s quite a flattering fit for you. Jiaoqiu is a very emotionally smart and strong character, so I’m certain he’s able to pick up on your thought process as well as you can with other people.

He knows how struggling it can be to be so tough on oneself and also prefers to keep his emotional moments private. So I’m sure he can pick up on your coping strategies quickly.

He probably won’t give you two shots of vodka and a nap, but he’ll certainly listen to whatever you need. You need to be left alone? He’ll give you space. You want a hot tea? Which one? He’ll make you thirty different aromas. You get the gist; he ain’t the type of boyfriend to try and pry his way into your walls if you don’t want him to.

Just to clarify, I’m talking about up-to-date Jiaoqiu.

Now considering Jiaoqiu’s lack of vision, physical touch is a must. This man only feels content when he has a hand on you. The warmth of your body melting into his makes him feel safe.

And it doesn’t stop there, behind closed doors. He’s like a clingy teddy bear. Constant cuddles with Jiaoqiu are a must. He definitely shows up late to work a lot with some poor excuse, but in reality, he just wanted “five more minutes” in bed by your side. (those five minutes became half an hour.)

If your feeling cheeky, stroke his ears or tail while you’re in bed, and he’ll get flustered real quick. He pretends he hates it, but my god, if only you knew.

And during weekends, staying in bed together is a must. Simply basking in each other's presence. Sometimes you’ll have a book by your side, which you’ll read in Jiaoqiu’s arms. And depending on the book, sometimes you read out loud so Jiaoqiu can also follow the story. Allowing the two of you to giggle and conspire about the story together.

Honestly, you two are deep thinkers. Whether you’re overanalysing a book or a person, one of you always has something to say. This definitely brought you two closer before you started dating. Getting to hear the complicated thoughts running through your mind left an impression on Jiaoqiu. It sparked an interest in him and left him with the will to get to know you better.

He pursued you, for sure. And at the beginning, I believe you aren’t interested. For a long time, you only wanted to be his friend. That mask that Jiaoqiu puts up as a front isn’t easy to break though, after all, and you figured that out pretty quickly.

Although, hear me out. He once ran into you sobbing in a corner, an absolute mess. But this man, instead of ignoring you, decided to comfort you until you were able to calm down. Of course you’d never admit that his presence helped you, so instead of opting to thank him, you run :D

But that left both of you with completely different impressions of each other.

“I want someone to look at me and think, "I'm going to make that woman my problem.”” Yeah. This is that moment for Jiaoqiu, and now you’re more willing to reciprocate.

Anyway, yes, thanks for listening to my entire hc about how you started dating.

Ok, now here’s a hot take. You’re not a fan of words of affirmation (for your own valid reasons, of course), but I can definitely see Jiaoqiu trying to sprinkle it in here and there, though. He’d never say anything over the top. Hell, half of them don’t even sound like compliments the way he words them.

If you pick up on this and genuinely ask him to stop, he will, end of story. But he loves hearing your reaction.

You say you’re always singing. Yeah, he loves that. Considering his eyesight is minimal, he loves anything that reminds him of your presence. Whether it’s your scent, or in this case, your voice. He couldn’t care less whether you’re a good singer or not. The fact that he can hear you and know you’re close by is enough for him.

Sometimes if the two of you are at home together and he recognises the song you’re absentmindingly singing, he’ll play it, letting you give a full performance.

This man will cook you five fucking meals a day if you let him. Very insistent on cooking for you. Maybe it’s simply because he likes hearing you enjoy his food; maybe it’s because he thinks it’s one of the only ways he can be useful to you, but that doesn’t matter. As long as he can hear joy in your voice, he’ll do whatever it takes.

Oh, and he’ll cook anything your craving. When I say anything, I mean anything. Doesn’t matter how complicated or how weird it is; he’ll do it.

Also a professional nurse (literally). Expect the highest of princess treatment when you’re ill. He literally treats you like a kitten. Will keep you tucked in bed with medicine and tea constantly by your side as he does whatever you need him to do.

He’ll never admit it, but he skips work to tend to you. He thinks you sound adorable, to be honest.

Also forehead kisses.

Don’t ask me where this came from. It genuinely just spawned in. But I’m adamant that he gives the best forehead kisses. In general, he’s a very gentle yet passionate kisser.

He wishes to savour the contact his lips have with your body. To map every inch of your skin to make up for what he can’t see with his eyes.

You say you enjoy writing, and I can totally see Jiaoqiu being into that. Especially if you’re looking to write something more action-packed. Of course, there are certain aspects of his past that he doesn’t wish to look back on, but if he can assist you with his knowledge and experience in any way, he will.

He probably figured out pretty quickly that poetry is your most intimate form of writing. He’ll never push for you to share with him. He’s not going to intrude on your most personal thoughts. But if you ever choose to open up to him and show him, god, he’ll melt. He’ll listen intently, even if he doesn’t quite grasp the concept. It’s more the fact that you’re willing to show your most vulnerable sides to him that really hits him in the feels.

Of course, he’ll share too. He doesn’t really have some special form of expressing himself, but he’s open to answering anything you wish to know. It’s only fair seeing as you opened up to him first.

All in all, Jiaoqiu’s a pretty mature lover with enough youth in him to still enjoy the small, mundane joys of life with you. (I’m so not jealous)

I'm honestly betting that the Yaoqing Trio were absolutely awful patients while healing, mainly Moze and Feixiao since Jiaoqiu probably couldn't really get up and move all that much for a while, but after that he's also being annoying as hell to the healers (all headcanons)

You can't get these three to stay down, Moze's out day one, yes he trips over his own feet because he strained an injury while invisible which is how they found him and dragged him back to bed, in which he leaves again after five minutes.

Feixiao's also not staying still and resting, she also managed to sneak alcohol into the building, no one knows how and she won't spill, but they keep confiscating it and she keeps finding it again.

Jiaoqiu is the definition of "doctors are the worst patients," he cares more about the wellbeing of the other two than himself, and constantly wants to go check on them. Yes he also fell over a bunch, mainly due to his injuries, but also figuring out how to navigate the world again due to his lack of sight. Half the time he gets up because of trauma and nightmares, but the other half is just him wanting to either be with the others or to make food, despite the fact that he can't have spicy food, but he'd rather be borison food than give up spicy food (he knows he just has to wait until his wounds are completely healed but he doesn't want to wait that long). They started locking up the kitchen just to keep him out (as for how he found it, a foxian's hearing and smell are better than a humans. His senses aren't any different than a regular foxian's, but due to his job he's more used to paying attention to his surroundings)

Also Jiaoqiu gets a tuskpir for the nightmares and PTSD, and that little guy is no snitch, it'd stay by Jiaoqiu's side and do things like place itself between him and like a table leg or something so he doesn't hit his foot as he re-figures how to navigate or picking up dropped items so he has an easier time finding them as to help him not stay bent over too long to not strain his injuries more

Feixiao and Moze also love the tuskpir. Of course, they don't take it away when Jioqiu needs it, but that little guy gets so much love

I feel like he'd use antiseptic at first, like ones that Jiaoqiu makes bc he refuses to go and buy some at first and claims he doesn't need it (he dies, his hands are dry af) but once he gets into it more, I bet he'd use some very lightly scented ones, I feel like he wouldn't like the super perfumey ones all that much. Probably something simple like lavender, but honestly he doesn't know why he does it since he wears gloves all the time- sometimes he'll mentally curse Jiaoqiu for getting him into this habit

I like paying Genshin…🫣 but I suppose you and I can’t have all the same opinions. Speaking of which, I don’t understand why people like Natasha…I’m sorry in advance. I can understand liking most of the others, like I get the appeal but idk….can u explain? now that I’ve told you all my bad opinions…I still haven’t gotten all the messages from Kafka, very upset, I got yanqing from standard the same day AND HE KEEPS MESSAGING ME, I need him to stfu. I was rewatching kafkas story quest and umm, I haven’t looked at that photo in a bit….ngl I kinda want to rip open that slit in her shirt and—yk I need to sleep, ik when I start being less shy I need more sleep I haven’t sleep for like two days. also my friend just said that I probably don’t like nat bc she’s a doctor…my mommy issues strike again.

i loved genshin i played it for over 3 years but by sumeru their characters stopped appealing to me, arlecchino saved me from boredom in fontaine and that archon quest was also really good but character wise she’s the only one i care about. with natlan and those white ass characters i just cant like logging in and seeing white people with latin indigenous/african inspired clothing, names and history pisses me off to no end, they lost me forever with that one bc yelan reran and i still didn’t log in consistently to get her cons… shes c3 forever now. i get mad seeing any natlan character atp like im so over this stupid game

not liking natasha is insane… if you like himeko theres no reason to not be as crazy about nat because they’re so similar personality wise and we actually know more about nat than we do about hsr himeko rn😭 i don’t see why you don’t see the appeal honestly, she’s a sweetheart who’s upheld an entire city basically on her own. not to diminish wildfire members but she literally created that too. only doctor in an impoverished and disorganized city, runs an orphanage, leader of the sole organization meant to keep the peace… she’s willingly taking on all of that responsibility because she can and wants to help. shes not even from the underworld, she was adopted by a couple in the overworld and did her studies there. not to mention that before she was a doctor in the underworld she went on expeditions to heal those fighting against/researching the fragmentum…she’s literally the most “morally good” aligned person ever. disliking her is kinda unimaginable to me bc all shes done is save people’s lives and be pretty. kafka’s nothing compared to my natty. i get it if she’s just not your kind of character but disliking her is insane to me when himeko is the same kind of kind-hearted, diplomatic, intelligent, courageous, ruthless-when-need-be person😭 natasha stepped up and saw people dying all around her for over a decade, she gave kids like Seele a future and a purpose in life and has spent every day fighting for them, she’s even condemned her own brother because the methods he was using for his research/goals were hurting others. hasnt talked to her parents in years and didnt know her dad had died because of it so she wasn’t allowed a moment to grieve like im sorry shes a hero of the people, no one has worked harder than she has— i’ll die defending natasha she’s incredibly admirable and inspiring to me. she thanks her patients for surviving gruesome surgeries, imagine the amount of people she’s lost because of the underworld’s lack of supplies yet she CARRIES ON! the strongest person ever. and she’s so gorgeous like that’s my baby fr. plus her voice is really nice. she’s the whole package, i take her so seriously if theres only one natasha fan in the galaxy its me!!! thee only healer for months before lynx came out, let’s all remember our roots (i wasn’t there but wtv) for a second. everyone’s used natty she’s an OG!

i thought kafka had only 2 messages and was getting moze/jiaoqiu’s for days then saw that anonymous “hi, nyx” and lost my mind at 6am on tuesday. hope u get them soon theyre so pathetic… she cares so bad. like soooo bad i cant believe she exposes herself like this do we think it’s because texting is easier or bc she’s intrinsically linked to the tb or both?… because those texts (+ the fact that it’s her reaching out) are just insane.

i love how yall never go all the way with thirsting when i literally write smut like i promise you can say you wanna fuck her 😭😭 everyone’s gonna agree. the things i’d do to her would have me in the hospital for dislocated joints like it’s okay theres no shame in being horny
