Day 1 of 5 day workout week:
It’s Monday and I have been told I can get back to working out at my pre-op intensity today! Wooohooo! 🥳 I was so excited to head back to my garage gym! It’s has been a real challenge dealing with all the stress in my life without my main stress reliever. So eager to get back to it! 👊🏽
🏋🏽‍♀️🥊 Of course I just had to start with kickboxing! I was rusty, my combos were far from fluid, my kicks were not as high…but I loved every minute of it! ☺️ I treated this workout as circuit: a combo, followed by a cardio blast, then followed by a lower body strength move, then an upper body strength move. Repeated 4 times! Weights were a dumbbell range of 8-15 lbs. I also added a bonus jumprope segment with my weighted 2 lb rope. After all of that, I spent extra time cooling down and stretching.
Total calorie burn = 499 kcals⚡️
That felt awesome! 🥰 Shall we try some step aerobics tomorrow? 🤔

Sat 6th Jan
Got up nice and early this morning and had the most beautiful winter morning walk with my girl watching the sun come up as we went along! And a bonus rainbow 🌈

We saw Maggie's friend Boo (an older collie, I think he's like 9 but they love playing together, he barks for her from the other end of the field when he sees us 🥹) We also saw so many deer! They weren't too fazed by us so we got to stand and watch them from a distance before they toodled away

Then had my dress fitting which was sooo lovely and relaxed. When I went to my sister in law's fitting with her, she had gone to this fancy boutique where they made a big fuss over her and it was lovely and felt really special, but I would have hated that myself. So I went to a local seamstress instead, she had this tiny top floor studio in the middle of town that I would never have known even existed and she just said hello, told me to go get my dress on and she put her pins in then told me to take it off again. We chatted away all the time but it was such a relief to not be fussed around. She didn't ask anything about the wedding, about Matt, nothing lol literally just put her pins in, I asked if she would sew me some cups in bc ya girl needs some kind of cleavage on her wedding day and she just laughed and said that would be no problem. I am sooo happy with her tbh. I was only there for 15 minutes! Got the bus halfway home and walked the rest as I had to stop off at the pharmacy, it was nice to be out in the sunshine again. Got home and did a load of housework, took all the Christmas decorations down and put them away in the loft, and put up a couple of pictures I've been meaning to get round to. Had a snack then went upstairs to work out and got a really solid upper body session done! It felt great

Made veggie curry for dinner, now relazing in the bath. Going to read my book in bed and hopefully have a good night's sleep bc I have another busy day lined up tomorrow 😴

kinda nervous to do leg day at the actual gym ngl, like doing upper body at the gym rather than at home for the other day for the first time (!!) was a little intimidating but overall fine... but lower body is just so much messier

Day 2 of 5 day workout week:
Back to it today! I took a three day rest break and I really needed it! 😌
It was a blustery, breezy Fall day today. Definitely need long sleeves and maybe even a hat! My gym was a very chilly 62 degrees when I first walked inside. I needed a jacket for the entire hour! 🥶 Now that the season is in full swing, I will work on temperature adjustments to get it back comfortable. By the end of last winter, I had it set at 71 degrees; even in middle of the winter. That’s a good goal to aim for! 🙏🏽
-Even though it was chilly, I put on over an hour on my kickboxing circuit! It was structured as: a warm up, followed by lower body, followed by upper body, then a kickboxing combo for the cardio round. (Repeat all but the warmup). Equipment was dumbells (10-15 lbs), ankle weights (6 lbs), resistance band (heavy), weight bench, boxing gloves (14 ounces), and push up grips (great for wrist alignment!). I was happy with this one today! 😊
Total calorie burn = 470 kcals
(45 pushups for day 15 done ✔️)
