Stupid HSH (Home Safety Hotline) calls with me and my friend Ocs
-First time you meet her-
Heya! Thea here, I heard you were new! How exciting right? Anyway, just wanted to let you know that any calls concerning Hobbs or any other animals imma need you to direct them to me! Okay? Okay, have a good rest of your shift I’ll be callin’ again soon!
-whistling fungi call-
Hi… Thea here, yawn I need your help… I haven’t been able to sleep lately. Not because of all the baby animals we have taken in, nor Venus screeching at me for cake. No, it is like this melodic whistling sound… it is coming from my walls and it’s pissin’ me off… help me out please?
(Call if you get it wrong)
….hey… Thea again… I’m going to go fucking crazy you hear me!? CRAZY! BECAUSE OF YOUR INSOLENT ANSWER I HAVE LOST FIVE! FIVE BABIES! Starts sobbing and you hear banging sounds like someone banging their head against a wall
-stair slug-
Um… I don’t know where to start…. It’s Thea again and bean just brought home this big box and put it in our basement… now some of my Hobbs have gone missing and Jerry and Emma are gone too… do you have any idea what’s happening here?
(Call if you get it wrong)
You know what? I’ll do it myself, no thanks to you. Sending me stuff for fuckin’ cellular growths. Do you really think Bean would bring one of those home? You must be thick. Angry walking and mumbling you know what? I will handle this myself. Door creaking open and takes on step before you hear Thea falling down. The stairs because she slipped on some slime. Then there is laughter then beans voice asking her if she’s okay
-trying to recruit you-
Thea again! I’ve talked to you recently about a few things and! And! You have been doing as I’ve asked! You have saved quite a few lives, thanks for that. You know that Hobbs get a bad rep and stuff…. But uh… that’s not why I’m calling. I’ve gotten permission from your supervisor to ask you about coming and working at the sanctuary! You know? Some like being a little more hands on with their work. Though you will have to choose between working with the ones above or beneath the soil…. My Hobbs will have to like you… and are you good with animals? I mean at first you can like… feed and cuddle baby animals but one of the requirements for this job is you have to take calls and adoption applications for our Hobbs. But that’s it! Hope you make up your mind soon. Bye.
-random call- (this one is just for fun)
When you pick up the call instead of Thea you hear a bunch of squeaks but it sounds more like a squeaky toy then a mouse after about ten seconds of this you hear a blender start then a voice getting closer then you finally hear it Venus! You cheeky Hobb get off the phone! Go, go! Come on… no! Don’t you dare. I swear to you! If you don’t put the phone down no more cake for a month! The blender sounds gets really loud and then the audio distorts as you hear Thea yell Gods damn it Venus! Then the call ends

This post contains resources for leaving a domestic violence situation (in the United States). If you have additional domestic violence resources from other countries/places in the world, please leave them in comments.
This is a content warning: beneath the cut is a conversation about Simple Math, domestic violence, and my boundaries.
Hi.
I want to preface this conversation by telling you how much I love you all. I'm so grateful to the little community that we've built here, and I really feel like we've created a space where we can talk to one another comfortably. I adore interacting with you all and I've been pleasantly surprised at Simple Math's reception. I knew writing a fic with a character who had survived domestic violence would open a certain kind of conversation, and I'm okay with that, to an extent.
That being said:
For my own peace, I ask that you refrain from sending me GRAPHIC messages about your experience with domestic violence. If you are a victim/survivor/witness/etc, and you want to open a conversation with me reference your experiences and/or trauma, I am absolutely okay with that as long as it's done in an appropriate way. A lot of us can relate to Bun, and I don't have an issue sharing enthusiasm for the story in relation to your life. I am not okay with DMs or anonymous messages detailing graphic descriptions of abuse. You don't know me, my personal life, or the things I've experienced, and sending a detailed play by play of your past or current experiences (without even a warning) is not okay. I understand that you need someone to talk to, or maybe even someone to ask for advice, but I cannot read the graphic nature of these messages, and I encourage you to turn towards someone who knows you personally so you can receive help. Leaving the details of a current or ongoing domestic violence situation in my inbox, with no way for me to report what is happening or ability to get you any kind of help or resources, cannot happen. Domestic violence is a crime. In the case of physical abuse, it is a violent crime. Please do not detail violent crime to me in my inbox.
I consider myself to be a kind person. I try to help my community in real life and here as much as I can. I strive to make this a space where you feel comfortable and welcomed. I enjoy the way we interact and talk about these stories. It pains me to have to write something out like this, but I really don't know what else to do. It's very upsetting to read a message from someone who possibly is being harmed, and then feeling like I'm screaming into a fucking void because it's an anonymous message and I cannot help.
I've included some resources below if you're in the US and need somewhere to start in regard to getting out of a domestic violence situation.

Create a safety plan. It’s important to plan how to stay safe while still living with an abusive partner and how you can safely leave the home or relationship. Record evidence of any abuse you experienced. This could include pictures of injuries you received or threatening messages. If possible, keep a journal of violent incidents, noting dates, events, and any threats made. Store your journal in a safe place. Establish where you can go to get help. If you’re comfortable doing so, tell someone trusted about what’s happening. They can help you with safety planning or finding resources that support survivors. Plan with your children and identify a safe place where they can go during moments of crisis, like a room with a lock or a friend’s house. Reassure them that their job is to stay safe, not to protect you. When preparing to go to a shelter, if you can, call ahead to see what the shelter’s policies are. They can give you information on how they can help and how to secure a space when it’s time to leave. Our advocates can also provide you with local resources. Try to set money aside or ask trusted friends or family members to hold money for you somewhere an abusive partner can’t reach it. Financial abuse is very common and creates many issues for someone preparing to leave. If relevant and feasible, pursue job skills or educational qualifications that expand your opportunities for independence. Talk with an advocate at The Hotline. Our advocates are highly trained in all aspects of domestic violence. They can help you create a safety plan, give information on preparing to leave, and can connect you to local domestic violence resources for further support. Create a safety plan. LIFELINE
I release a tabletop rpg every week.
This week's is based on those survival horror games where you play as someone doing tech support for the real protagonist.
You work in a call center, taking calls from final girls and inadvertent cosmic horror protagonists, and attempt to coach these callers through their situations.
The callers instinctively trust you, but you're limited by their capabilities. You don't roll your stats. You give them advice, and they roll theirs. They also can't stray too far from the phone.
You do have a resource called Battery that you can spend to bend the odds in your favor, and every supernatural threat can be countered in some way, but your caller isn't exactly built to brawl it out with the boogeyman, so you may need to walk them through building traps, blocking doors, or simply running.
LIFELINE is inspired by games like Killer Frequency, Operator's Side, Home Safety Hotline, and also older stuff like Critical Path.

It's sad how many people don't know that there are shuttles that will pick you up from your home and take you to a free shelter during Hurricane Milton. The fact that people still push the "poor people can't afford to evacuate" line is really sad.
Please help combat this and spread the phone number to request a shuttle, and let people know Uber and Lyft are also offering free or discounted rides to evacuate the storm and get to a shelter.
Also important to note that there are shelters who are specially equipped for people with special needs.

You don't necessarily need to leave the state or drive hundreds of miles. Sometimes 5 or 10 mile difference will make all the difference.
Deadliest part of a hurricane is the storm surge.
If you live 20 feet of elevation or lower these are the people who need to evacuate.
Find out your elevation if you don't know it at WhatIsMyElevation.com. Compare it with the storm surge forecast at NHC.NOAA.gov.

Summary
"Number 1, shelters cannot and should not ask for your ID in order to access them. You have a right to seek shelter regardless of your immigration status, regardless of your citizenship status and regardless of whether or not you have a government ID on you.
Number 2, well undocumented immigrants may not qualify for FEMA assistance, their children with citizenship do.
Number 3, ICE should not be operating at this time as it is a state of emergency.
Absolutely nobody should be deterred from being safe during a natural disaster."

There's a post going around post-election claiming that crisis lines will call police on you immediately and by default, and this person is responding to correction with hostility from an anti-therapy lens, creating fear and disillusionment.
I am a crisis responder (volunteer), and I'd like to clear things up. I'm in Canada, so I can't definitively speak on US crisis lines, but I can speak on Canadian ones.
Some safe crisis lines to contact are at the bottom of this post. TL;DR: We do not call police on people in crisis. We might call EMS.
1. We do not call police on you. If you say you're feeling suicidal, you are put at the front of the queue and given priority status & high risk status. We risk assess, learn about your situation, and then work together on bringing you down from your crisis to ensure you can keep yourself safe for at least 24 hours. We may contact paramedics/an ambulance if you inform us you have attempted suicide, or plan to within the next 24 hours. Not police. You can decline this at your own expense. If they are called, we stay on the line with you until they arrive.
We are legally required to risk assess everyone, and contact emergency services only if you inform us you've self-harmed more than intended, just attempted to end your life, or plan to within 24 hours. You can't seriously expect someone to sit by and do nothing upon telling them you just attempted -- everyone on earth would try to help you unless they're an inhumane monster.
A crisis line is NOT a wellness check. It's a safe, confidential, anonymous space for you to vent and get help (if you want it). Where I work, the only time police can be contacted (or you can be reported, rather) is if you admit to a crime. Being suicidal is not a crime. (CPS/APS can also be contacted on your behalf if you're being abused and under 19 or over 60, but you can decline this as well.)
2. Our job is to bring you to a calmer, safer state by listening with empathy, brainstorming coping skills (+safety plans) with you, and providing resources/links/websites for you to access after the conversation ends.
3. You can text crisis lines for more than suicidal thoughts, ideation, and attempts. You can talk about anything. You can vent and leave without a safety plan. It's what you're comfortable with.
4. You can end the conversation at any point. You are never forced into anything. You can close the web chat, reply STOP, or hang up at any time, or let us know you'd like to end the conversation and we can end it for you. _____________________________________

It took me 11 years to find a therapist and form of therapy that works for me. I volunteer as a CR because I don't want other people to suffer alone like I did. Crisis lines exist for you and for your wellbeing. They aren't some secretly evil corporation out to get you. I encourage you to fact-check. I'm telling you what I know as someone who has been on both sides of a crisis line. Take care of yourselves. ♥

Paranomally Hotline #1: Introduction
Many people have their own beliefs. They follow in their own superstitions, read about all kinds of monsters, and we hear about new creations of creatures and places daily. Inspired from already set up and built legends, or entirely original myth, you may have made some ideas yourself. At the very least, you've heard of one. However, to the average person, a myth is all they remain.
Sometimes though, the average person isn't so lucky, and stumble apon a truth: these "tall tales" are fact, not fiction, and could come for you at anytime. With the knowledge that these creatures exist, surviving them can be difficult when nobody you turn to has an idea of what you're facing.
Not, unless, you're calling the Paranomally Hotline.
Specialized in dealing with all entities and creatures of out this world, the Paranomally Hotline believes those who call and will help guide you to safety. Available whenever you need (some places may have more or less then 24 hours available), someone skilled and trained for your kind of situation is there to talk to.
If you don't know who to call, ring the numbers-
"God damn, they play whatever on these fuckin things." A man, appearing about mid 30s, turns the TV off. He gets ready for work, brushing his teeth and getting food to eat. He waves goodbye to his wife, a woman with black hair, and walks into the busy sidewalks. Walking among the people, bag on his side, he keeps going until he reaches a corner.
The scene has changed. As he turns this corner, he runs, panicked, running out of breath. He can't run forever, and hiding feels like a death trap. A creature roars out behind him, and all he wants is to go home, back before this happened.
"Someone please come save me, Lord I beg of you now, spare my soul of this fate just a bit longer," he mutters to himself as he slips into an alleyway. Through his panicked thoughts, something slips into his mind, a crystal clear one: a phone number. As he turns on his phone, which he wasn't even aware still had battery, already has a number put in. Not in a state to question it, he hurriedly rings it.
"Hello, you've reached the Paranominally Hotline, here to help with all entities and paranormals, what's got your ghost?"
"Y-you gotta help me! Th-there's a- a thing! And it's chasing me! And- and- I just want to go home, see my wife again!"
"That's what we're going to do. Now, to help figure out how I can assist you, I'll need you to answer a couple questions. First, do you believe you are still in our world, or does it seem home to somewhere else?"
"Wha-what are y- Yeah, no, it- it's all red- the sky- and it's bleeding- oh my god I didn't notice, it's fucking bleeding- I gotta get out of here-"
"Alright, let's keep a level head sir. When did you get here, and if you remember, how?"
He jumped, hearing a loud roar from this creature. "T-today, maybe 3-30 minutes, 25, gi-give or take. I went into the closet at my job and- look, can we hurry this up? There's s-something ch-ch-chasing me, and I think it's going to k-kill me."
"Alright. This is a very necessary procress, but I have an idea on how to help. Can you make it back to where this closet was?"
"Th-that's the way the monster i- you're trying to fucking kill me!"
"Sir, please. I'm trying to get you home. If you can make it over, and I'm thinking of the right thing, grab the string of the lamp above and pull it to turn off the light."
"No- why should I fucking trust yo-"
Another roar plays out. It's closer.
"...Are-"
"If I’m fucking killed, call my wife and tell her I love her."
"Of course."
The man breaks into a sprint and heads out. His legs are aching, but he has to make it, he has to. Looking straight ahead, he goes straight past the beast, about 30 feet tall and blurry as it roars again, following behind. The man begins to silently sob as he sees the building he exited from up ahead. Running inside, he closes the door of the strange building and locks it as best as he can. He runs down a hallway, where a brown closet door awaits him. It's a dingy closet, brown shelves and a blue school chair. Nothing more or less. He slams the door shut as he hears breakage outside and the loud stomps of feet. Muttering a prayer, he grabs the string of the closet's lightbulb and yanks it down as hard as he can.
Everything goes black, but he finds himself on the floor of the closet. It's a storage one, filled with boxes and shelf racks, the same one he walked into, although one of the shelves has been knocked over just inches from where he once laid unconscious. As he questions what just happened, the reality of what he just faced, he hears his phone hang up, the caller name showing.
The Paranominally Hotline.

This is a ramble that i felt didn't fit my main blog, so im putting it here lol
I think one of the biggest reasons why I like Home Safety Hotline as a game isn't the horror aspect, its the bestiary and setting. It's a 1980s/1990s call center where you help callers with their problem thats on the verge of getting worse or the worst has already happened. You get access to a bestiary of "house problems," ranging from mice to spriggans.
The bestiary sections probably the best part for me imo. I love reading the entries for each thing that I literally have a steam guide open on my phone that has all the in-game entries that I can just pull up and read on the go. It really is just charming and creative while also occasionally fucked up each entry is.
It made me realize how much I just love fantasy bestiaries in general and how, in a way, this blog is kinda like one too. I love writing these little entries, even if some of them are based off of other media properties so not 100% original. They're just a lot of fun to write.
So uh yeah, mini ramble over
Thanks for your support to the blog, whether its through following or liking/reblogging the threats I make, or just peeking in every now and again. Your support means a lot, that making these funky lil guys is worth it in a way.

So @allthesecottoncandyskies and I played HSH and we were putting on peppy voices to answer the callers and generally having a great time being assholes to them.
Faun: “Common hob?” [nods] “Common hob.”
Me: “If you didn’t put milk out that’s your fault, Paul.” [valley girl voice] “You did this to yourself, Paul. Becky.”
Faun: “Why’s he gotta be a bitch?”
Me: “I know. Whats with the attitude?”
Faun: [sassy fruity voice] “✨💖Leave a bowl of milk out for the hob 💖✨ and your attitude at the door! Bitch.”
Me: [wheezing with laughter]
Phone: [ring ring]
Me: [answers call, wiping away tears of laughter]
Faun: [fruitiest of the fruitiest customer service voice] “Home safety Hotline! ❤️🌸🌷 How may we help youuuu?”
May, calling back: [horrible screaming] “OH GOD! JEREMY—“
Both of us: [hysterical laughter at the timing of it all which slowly dies down into genuine horror at the state of this poor woman and her son]
May: “JEREMY’S DEAD!” [gut-wrenching scream-sobbing] “MY BABY! OH GOD JEREMY! JEREMY’S DEAD.”
Faun: “OH.”
Me: “Ohhhhh…… we didn’t get that one right did we?“
Faun: “Jeremy!”
Me: “We killed her son.”

You are loved. What to do in a crisis and resources on how to get help with mental illness.
If you can, please reblog this so people can be aware of how they can get help.
Hello world! I just thought I’d provide some resources for all the mentally ill out there in this existence. These all worked for me and hopefully they can work for you. If you think you may be suffering from mental illness go to section two and three. If you are currently in crisis, which means you think about or have planned your suicide, go to section one and read through the rest of this post. You are not alone, 792 million people live with mental illness. 264 million live with depression, and 284 million live with anxiety. If you are reading this, it’s a sign to start getting help. If you are struggling, these resources can help you. Just give it a try, it’s worth it. Just remember. You are loved. You are wanted. You are cared for. You are noticed. You deserve to live.
IF YOU ARE IN CRISIS:
Call a suicide hotline!!!!
Hotlines can be helpful at calming you down in a time of high emotion or stress, these people are literally trained to distract you. I’ve called them a few times in my life and it does work I promise. Just try it out.
The U.S number is 988
If you don’t live in the U.S, follow this link to find your countries hotline. Hotlines. Find it on the site and give it a call. Here are some additional hotlines and resource specific help.
Directory of international mental health helplines
A second list of global hotlines
Crisis hotlines for teens and youth
LGBT crisis support
Substance abuse crisis support
Postpartum support
National Domestic Violence Hotline: 800-799-7233
National child abuse hotline
Literally just a list of hotlines for everything
Either while you are on the phone with a hotline or after, send your location to a friend or family member so that someone can come get you or check on you. If that is not an option you can ask the hotline to send someone to come get you. DO NOT. I REPEAT. DO NOT. Stay by yourself in a time of need or crisis. The longer you are alone the more dangerous the situation can become. You are not a burden if you ask someone you love for help, that is what they are there for. Most likely you will be collected by emergency services and they will go from there.
IF YOU HAVE ALREADY TAKEN AN ACTION TO KILL YOURSELF DO THE FOLLOWING:
Call 911 if you are in the U.S
If you are not in the U.S call your countries emergency number. Here is a list of countries numbers:
List of emergency telephone numbers
If you are at home with family members go to your family and let them know what happened. Even if they are asleep, wake someone up if you have to. Do this AFTER you have contacted emergency services .
If you are on a college campus, contact your RA or your campus crisis line AFTER you have contact emergency services.
If you are by yourself, WAIT FOR EMERGENCY SERVICES TO ARRIVE. Do not move from your location.
In crisis and after you need to make a safety plan. Safety plans reduce risk of future harm by planning out actions that you can do yourself to reduce emotional stress. Here’s how:
Safety Plan
After crisis assistance:
After crisis assistance can include therapy and psychiatry. I will provide thinks for find both of these things. If you are not currently in crisis but you are experiencing symptoms of mental illness, please make an appointment with one of these assistances. Below there are additional resources for mental health that can also be used as a first step.
Therapists

Introduction to safety planning: The Stanley-Brown Safety Plan
TW: Suicide, mental health crisis
Hi! I wanted to try giving a primer on safety planning as it is something I have a lot of experience with. I will be focusing on the Stanley-Brown Safety Plan and touching on means safety as part of that.
What it is
https://988.ca/wp-content/uploads/2022/05/Stanley-Brown-Safety-Plan-8-6-21.pdf
The Stanley-Brown Safety Plan is an evidence-based document that is meant to assist a person who is building up to or having a mental health crisis. Think of it like a fire drill. We do them because, in moments of crisis, the part of the brain responsible for rational thinking and problem-solving tends to go quiet. Fire drills get practiced so that, even when you can't think clearly, you know what to do. Similar sort of thing. When a person is having a mental health crisis they probably aren't thinking clearly about what they can do to stay safe. This document, if referenced during a crisis, can help remind them of their options.
Who should do it
Anyone with a predisposition toward mental health crises of any sort. It's often used with people who have suicidal ideation, but I've also done them with only slight modification with clients who are prone to substance abuse or anxiety attacks. It's better to have one and not need it than the other way around. I have one that I fortunately haven't needed to refer to because I believe in leading by example.
When should it be done?
Before crisis strikes! While the person is stable and able to think clearly. If a crisis is already ramping up and you don't know what to do, call your local mental health hotline (988 in the US) or emergency services such as 911.
Filling it out
I'll go through and talk about each question individually. Most questions have spaces for a few answers, depending on which format you use (an app or the form I linked)
Warning signs
These are anything (thoughts, feelings, behaviors, situations/triggers) that let you know that you're starting to go into crisis. Note that feelings can be emotional or purely physical. Can be immediate (rapid breathing, panic, thoughts of self harm/suicide) or longer-term (not sleeping well for a few days, not bathing, not taking medication etc.) These will look different from person to person and require some introspection. If you're helping someone else fill it out, you can mention things that you've noticed are precursors to bad mental health. The idea behind this section is to recognize when things are getting bad early enough to start intervening.
Internal coping strategies
Coping strategies that don't involve other people. Something you could do if you're home alone and your phone is dead. Can be coping strategies you learned in therapy (square breathing, mindfulness, etc.) Or things that just help you take your mind off of things until you're regulated again (hobbies, listening to music, going for a walk, spending time with pets, etc.) Should focus on non-harmful strategies, so avoid things like drinking or getting high. There are lots of possible answers, so it's really just whatever helps the person get back to baseline.
People and social settings that help provide a distraction
Anyone you could potentially call to talk or hang out that would help you take your mind off of things. Can also be people you live with. Doesn't have to be someone you're comfortable spilling your heart out to, just someone who can help distract you until you're feeling better. Similar thing with places. Sometimes just getting a change of scenery can be helpful. If being somewhere dark and quiet helps you regulate, you can put that, though the idea is preferably somewhere you're not alone, like the library, a park, the mall, etc. Again, try to avoid things like the bar as alcohol can make things worse.
People you can ask for help
Distinct from the last question in that these should be people you trust a bit more. Once distractions and coping skills have failed, who would you contact saying, "I need help?" Someone that you can talk to about what's going on, and who could feasibly help you call emergency services or drive you to an ER/crisis center. Can be friends, family, caregivers, staff where you live, etc.
Note about the people sections: Should include phone numbers on the plan so that you don't have to think at all to reach them. Also, best practice is to let people who are on your safety plan know that they are, especially in the "ask for help section"
Professionals or agencies you can contact during a crisis
Generally, people like mental health or medical professionals. If the person has a therapist, you can put them here. Or a trusted doctor. Someone with a bit more training than the typical person.
This section is also where you put down the address of the nearest ER or walk-in crisis center so that, safety permitting, you can go there in person without having to call 911. (Calling 911, while sometimes necessary, often leads to having to deal with police, which can be less than ideal when dealing with a mental health crisis depending on where you are.)
Making the environment safer
This step is where you think/talk about lethal means safety. There's a lot to it, and if you're in a position where you need to support someone who is a high suicide risk and you have limited access to professional help, I recommend you look into "means safety" and "Counseling on access to lethal means" ( aka CALM). In brief, you want to identify any specific methods the person may have thought of. Typically, when someone has suicidal thoughts, there's one or a few specific methods their mind tends to go to, and research has shown that if they actually become actively suicidal their mind will go to that method. If You can limit access to those methods such that it takes even just a few extra minutes, you can save their life. Things like hiding knives in a lock box or having someone else hold onto medications until they need to be dispensed can make a huge difference!
A note about guns: firearms are incredibly deadly to a suicidal person. Some people are very resistant to giving up their firearms, but as I mentioned, even just delaying access to them by a few minutes can be helpful. If you're trying to safety plan with someone who owns firearms, look into local laws about storing them elsewhere, letting a trusted family member hold onto them, etc. Gun safes where the at risk person doesn't know the combination or even just storing ammo separately can make a difference.
What is the most important thing to you that is worth living for?
This question isn't on the one I linked, but it is on the one I use for work. I think it's worth noting, even if you have to write it in. The only "correct" answer is the honest one. What is the one thing (are a few things) that will stay your hand if push came to shove?
Additional resources
Suicideprevention.mhrrg.com has some excellent videos about suicidality and means safety
Zerosuicide.edc.org has some great info about suicide, including a course on CALM. I don't remember if you have to pay for the course or sign in through an organization, but if not it's a great thing to learn about.
Also, I would recommend looking into whether or not your local community mental health centers run walk-in centers (WICs) as they can be a resource if you don't want to call the police or go to the ER.

Joniah Walker has been missing since June 23rd, 2022. The then-15-year-old was last seen near her home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Joniah's father was supposed to pick her up from her residence around 4:00 PM that afternoon, but when he arrived, Joniah was nowhere to be found. Her family has not seen or heard from her again.
After Joniah was reported missing, it was revealed that a neighbor's Ring camera captured her leaving her home around 2:30 PM on the day of her disappearance. Phone records revealed that Joniah called her therapist at 3:27 PM. Later that evening, she sent a text to her therapist that said she ran away from home. This is the last known communication from Joniah; it appears that nobody has heard from her since this message.
There isn't any information available about why Joniah would want to run away. According to her mother, Joniah has struggled with both depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. It's unclear if this plays a role in her disappearance, but it certainly has escalated concerns for her safety. Joniah's mother also said that Joniah has never run away before in the past.
The Milwaukee Police Department is appealing to the public for anyone with information that could lead to Joniah's whereabouts. She is described as a black female who stands at about 5'3" and weighs approximately 130 pounds. If you have seen Joniah, or have any information about her whereabouts, please contact the Milwaukee PD at 414-933-4444 or the National Center for Missing Children’s hotline at 1-800-THE-LOST (1-800-843-5678).

At least 62 people are known to have died after torrential rain caused devastating flash floods in south-eastern Spain.
In the town of Chiva near Valencia more than a year's worth of rain fell in just eight hours and local officials say it is "impossible" to put a final figure on the number of people who have perished.
Footage uploaded to social media shows floodwaters causing chaos in the wider region, knocking down bridges and dragging cars through the streets. Other video appears to show people clinging to trees to avoid being swept away.
Much of the country has been badly hit by heavy rain and hailstorms, triggering rapid flooding across multiple areas.
More than 1,000 troops are being deployed to help with the rescue operation, with hundreds of drivers reported trapped on motorways and scores of people unaccounted for.
Spain's King Felipe VI said he was "devastated" by the floods, and sent his "heartfelt condolences" to the families of the victims.
Radio and TV stations have reportedly been receiving hundreds of calls for help from people trapped in flooded areas or searching for loved ones, as emergency services struggle to reach some areas.
In Valencia, one woman told of terrifying scenes as motorway drivers realised a torrent of water was heading towards them and formed a human chain to escape along a raised central reservation.
“Thank goodness no one slipped because if anyone had fallen, the current would have dragged them away,” Patricia Rodriguez, 45, told El País newspaper.
Chiva was among the first to experience the fury of the flash floods. Local media reported that by 18:00 (17:00 GMT) on Tuesday the town's streets had turned into rivers, with cars, street lamps and benches being swept along with the force of the water.
The civil protection did not send a warning to residents of the Valencia region until over two hours later.
Many are now questioning the timing of that warning, saying that it arrived too late for people to get off the roads or seek refuge on the higher floors of their homes.
Spain's defence minister Margarita Robles told reporters that the flooding across the region was "an unprecedented phenomenon".
She added: "Yesterday, during the night, the emergency services were in the area, but the avalanche of water was tremendous."
Police have issued an emergency hotline and asked people to phone 9006 5112 to report people who are missing.
"Practically all the main roads have been cut off and the secondary roads as well," a government representative for the region, Pilar Bernabe said.
"Not going out is not a mere recommendation, it is a necessity to guarantee the safety of the people who are stranded and the people who have to go to rescue others."
"If (emergency services) have not arrived it's not due to a lack of means but a problem of access," the regional leader of Valenica, Carlos Mazon, told a press conference, adding that reaching certain areas was "absolutely impossible".
Spanish weather service AEMET reported that Chiva, in the Valencia region, recorded 491mm of rain in just eight hours on Tuesday - the equivalent to a year's worth of rain.
It has declared a red alert in the Valencia region and the second-highest level of alert in parts of Andalusia.
The floods have caused transport disruption with several flights due to land in Valencia diverted to other cities and others cancelled. All train services are suspended in the Valencia region, the national rail infrastructure operator ADIF said.
Valencia city hall said all schools and sporting events were suspended on Wednesday, and parks will stay closed.
Many factors contribute to flooding, but a warming atmosphere caused by climate change makes extreme rainfall more likely.
The world has already warmed by about 1.1C since the industrial era began and temperatures will keep rising unless governments around the world make steep cuts to emissions.

Corey and Oats in..
Night of the Living Aykroyds.
Sometimes when Corey and Oats have an adventure the adventure they go on is a scary one, one afternoon they were in their home at Nile Road having a relaxing time when Mel was talking about a story she was working on about doing a Dan Aykroyd transformation and that was when the duo got an idea, what if they could go into a world where almost everything was Dan Aykroydian and that’s where Mel thought of a clever idea on how to do it.
Oats trotted into the bedroom and pulled out a magical item from the bedbox, it was special magical item. The magical item in question was a skull shaped key which they used to open up a passage-way which took them through a shortcut to a version of their home in Nile Road, everything seemed perfectly normal until a strange glow emitted form nearby, which resulted in each room of the house turning Aykroydian, Dan Aykroyd movies popping up on Zara’s dvd shelf, Aykroyd posters and photos sprouting up everywhere, it was a most shocking sight.
Corey and Oats made a run down the hall just in time to see more Aykroydian things popping up, as lots and lots of Aykroyd started popping up everywhere, Corey immediately felt worried…’What if all my microbial friends are Aykroydian?’ and he rushed over to Mel’s room along with Oats, when they got to Mel’s room they saw that all their friends were normal but parts of the room were being affected by a glow that was making everything Aykroydian, even the calendar on the wall was changing.
The glow began to spread throughout as Oats got his unicorn family to safety through a secret passageway along with Corey’s microbial friends, just then a horde of Dan Aykroyd characters made their way through the hall, wanting to come after Mel and the others. Two Aykroyds made their way over to the kitchen where Natasha was working on a puzzle, one of the Aykroyds touched Natasha and caused her to turn into Dan Aykroyd, as another horde of Aykroyds made their way down the hall.
Oats whinnied as he tried to keep the Aykroyds from getting near them, fiercely protecting everything and everyone. Mel picked up the phone and decided to call Francie, only to get a message from…’Welcome to the Aykroyd Nile Road hotline, how am I to help you?’ which terrified her as she tried to contact her friends for help, her contact information and friends were also shifting.
Everything was Aykroyding out, and there were lots of Aykroyds popping up everywhere in the house and the staff were vigilantly doing their best to stop the Aykroyds from getting in, more Aykroyds popped up everywhere in the house, stalking, wanting to get near our heroes.
They managed to fight off all the Aykroyds but half-way through they decided to hide out in Mel’s room and something funny began to happen to Mel. Mel’s stomach gurgled and growled as it inflated and pushed against her shirt, popping a few buttons off of it in the process.
Her greyish fur was slowly transforming into human looking skin as the remaining fur slowly turned brown, her stomach was growing and broadening as was her chest and torso, which were both gaining a lot of mass as her breasts retracted. The hairs were spreading all over arms and on her hands which were growing larger, as her shirt strained and slowly tore open.
“Mommy..what’s happening?”
“I think i’m turning Aykroydian.”
She panicked as her jeans started to strain a little in the back as they plumped up, growing and make her look like she was quite thicc as her rear lost its feminine shape and her hips retracted in size while her private parts altered to the more masculine variant, her legs altered while her shoes felt so incredibly tight, her feet slowly enlarging from within. It wasn’t long until her shoes slowly broke apart to reveal her feet which were larger and also a tingling sensation was developing in-between her toes, as two of the toes on both feet slowly stuck together to gain the appearance of becoming webbed.
Oats watched Mel as she transformed…her shoulders and back broadening as she slowly shot up in height to 6’1 and her neckline altered, her hair lengthened and darkened while her forehead pulsated and grew, her eyebrows bushing up as her eyes widened, one turning from brown to green as the other remained brown, her nose enlarged and developed a cleft in the middle as her face plumped up to resemble Aykroyd’s face, her lips became more kissable as her voice deepend, her voice sounded more masculine but also shifted to become Aykroydian, make her sound like she was Dan Aykroyd.
When her transformation was finished, she or ‘he’ was a doppelganger of Dan Aykroyd but was also still Mel, she didn’t go completely Aykroydian. She was still herself and she helped the duo explore the entire of the house, which was now infested with Aykroyds. Thankfully the staff hadn’t been turned Aykroydian, but some of the staff over at Belmont were being Aykroydized.
Corey, Oats and Mel made a run for it and used their skills to navigate this horrifying situation. The Aykroyds made their way towards Mel who bowed to her and she asked them to help her which they did.
Navigating through the Aykroyd infested version of their home, they found it to be quite an entertaining challenge as they ran around, exploring and solving the mystery behind the strange glow, they looked over in the front yard and saw the glow affecting several other people in their neighborhood as they too turned Aykroydian. The streets of Milford were becoming infested with multiple Dan Aykroyds.
As horrifying as this was to the duo, they couldn’t but find it fascinating, and they learned a lot about what they were, these were all Were-Aykroyds as in a type of supernatural creature who turns into Dan Aykroyd. And Mel was one of them now too but she didn’t have the complete Aykroydian mind set and acted like herself, she oddly thought it was nice.
“These creatures are Were-Aykroyds.”
“Yes I have heard of these creatures.”
‘A were-aykroyd is a supernatural creature who turns into Dan Aykroyd at night or when it’s dark in general.’ The duo went over all the information they had learned before heading to the kitchen to get some snacks, after their snack break they investigated the rest of the house.
“This is certainly a peculiar adventure.”
“Yes, lots of Aykroyds.”
After their investigation had finished they came across and saw the source of the glow, it was like some kind of weird cosmic event that was brought on by the moon’s rays, and Mel remembered there was a lunar event that would bring forth something called the ‘Aykroyding’ which would bring all the Aykroyd characters to life. And that is when they saw Elwood Blues, Clifford Skridlow, Grocer, Ray Stantz, John Burns Jr, Beldar, Yortuk Festrunk, Ray Zalinski, Jimmy Flaherty, Austin Milbarge and Tom Everett, they were all Dan Aykroyd characters.
The Aykroyd characters didn’t want to harm them but rather wanted to be best friends with them, which Oats accepted and they all became good friends. They hung out together and had fun.
An hour later after their ordeal had completed, Mel told them it was time to go home and they followed her, going back through the passageway and going all the way back to Nile Road. Upon reaching there they gathered in the lounge and had afternoon tea, Corey told everyone about his adventure and how strange it was to see so many Aykroyd characters.
When it was time for dinner they all gathered into the kitchen and had some nice food for dinner before emailing Jill about their adventure, saying that they had encountered all sorts of Aykroyd characters and about the strange glow that was turning everyone Aykroydian.
They had a karaoke session and after their karaoke session they went into the bedroom to relax, Mel decided to stay as a Were-Aykroyd for a while and she picked some night-clothes that were in her new size as Corey picked out his bat pajamas and Oats put on a lacy pink night-gown. They brushed their teeth in the bathroom.
Mel looked over, examining her much larger Aykroydian body in the mirror, feeling her new stomach and her rear, she felt very large, in charge and oddly sexy. After they left the bathroom they all relaxed and had a lovely time.
When it was time for them to go to bed, they all got into bed and picked out a friend to snuggle up with and they all snuggled up and slept peacefully. Their pegasus bed, along with the other things in their room hadn't been Aykroydized, but they slept peacefully and had nice dreams.
And thus this little Aykroydian story of terror comes to an end but there are more to come, so stay tuned.
