#sometimes i think I'm finally immune to being hurt by the ableism and other bs that gets thrown around constantly #like ''at least you get to be home'' and ''wow i wish i could stay home in my pajamas and laze the days away in bed''#because once the first lockdown happened and some lucky fucks got put on remote work #they couldn't shut up online about being prisoners and all that #almost as if not being able to go out and do what they want to do is. idk. NOT fun #and then when they started getting sick they were complaining about how horrible it was to not have the energy to get out of bed some days #and then later how horrible it was to not be able to do things they used to do (working out or even just walking through their house easily)#and then how doctors weren't taking them and their symptoms seriously and how unfair that is etc etc etc #because THEY are different from disabled people who are just lazy and don't want to be productive members of society 😌 (sarcasm)#so I'll think I'm over it all and it usually doesn't bother me (except the incandescent rage it causes)#but then something like that will come from someone i never expected and it's a struggle to not. like. burst into tears 🙄

i am not immune to marketing gimmicks (<- just bought limited edition cocoa flavor online)

#sasha speaks #they're having a big sale rn to clear out their overstock and leftover limited edition flavors from the past year #nearly everything is sold out already especially most of their flavored blends #but they had a medium roast from an origin i haven't tried before #and the unflavored single origin medium roasts are my favorite! so i ordered a bag for 35% off #plus a bag of my usual favorite...in fairness i also meant to bring some back home with me from my apartment and forgot completely #the other day when i was packing #so having a couple bags of cocoa arriving at home for me in a few days will be a nice treat #it's just roasted and ground cacao beans but you brew it just like coffee #the end product really is a lot like black coffee (bitter and strong lol) but it's quite lovely with a bit of sweetener #i used to take it with some cream but actually now my favorite preparation #is cocoa grounds + big pinch of salt + a few green cardamom pods + just enough maple syrup to make it *barely* sweet #makes a wonderful hot beverage. it's so cozy...#anyway looking forward to that. i hope the new flavor is good. the last limited edition medium roast i tried was fine #but i didn't like it more than their regular ones #unfortunately most of their varieties these days are either dark/french/ultradark (spanish) roasts or they're flavored light roasts #and i don't much go for those. i mean occasionally a flavored light roast #but i find them disappointing more often than not. light roast isn't chocolatey enough for me and the flavors are usually weak or stale #(the strawberry one is good but it's a summer limited ed and it was out of stock already by the time i saw the overstock sale)#and the dark roasts are just too dark for me. i want to taste the cacao bean and origin not just the roast #so the medium roasts are the sweet spot for me. roasted enough to taste really chocolatey and strong #but not so much that they're overwhelming and lose their character #actually weirdly i've noticed recently that on some of their limited ed and flavored blends they aren't listing the roast level.#it's very strange #for the flavoreds i just assume light roast but it's weird when they don't tell you on the package or the online shop page

Keep getting pissed off & frustrated and now my stomach hurts

#im at the library btw (important detail)#just like looking for internships for some reason makes me really anxious and makes my stomach hurt and i get scared to click on any webpage #and looking at postgrad requirements stuff also freaks me out and hurts and i need to put together some questions to ask my neighbor but im #afriad to ask smth stupid etc etc and just owie #i emailed my one prof to see if we have any homework or whatever and that was one thing i did #checked my assignments but havent started any yet though now i know what and when #then i turned to online shopping and adding to my wishlist like im supposed to but thats whats really make the stomachache happen bc i cant #figure out which product i want between 2 companies and also we live in an advertising hellworld that wants to manipulate me and i hate it #even the thought of me buying a comic on the way home doesnt help atm #bc then ill be going home after being out for 2 hours w my only achievement being writing down like 3 questions for my neighbor (NOT all i #want to say) emailing my prof and working myself into an anxiety spiral about christmas gifts #okay im getting emotional now and am on the verge of tears i should go home bc obviously this isnt working #and my mom is at home and she always makes me feel better #i fucking hate our hellscape and i hate how evil and manipulative amazon.com is. just be a normal service that sells normal fucking goods #jesus fucking christ. its like the whole world will end if i dont get advertised to every single second of every fucking day
