my understanding of among us, as someone who has never once played it or seen a full match(?) played:

the imposter is a violent alien that assumes the form of an existing crew member after killing/eating them. or maybe they just sneak in as an extra crew member. idk for sure actually

there are vents. that's important. i don't know why that's important tho

you can hold a meeting where everyone on the spaceship discusses things that are going on, usually pertaining to who's An Imposter Among Us™️

everyone on board can vote for who they think the imposter is. the most voted one gets ejected into space, and the game says if they were the imposter or not. if they weren't, skill issue tbh

when an imposter kills you you can be a cute lil ghost and float around. i dont think you can actually do anything
