When I’m Babylon you do as the Babylonian do. This was a small premiere considering the talent that would soon be arriving. I think there was less than 30 photographers in the pit and video was across the way not easily observable to photographers or the prying eye of the camera. For a small step and repeat it was elaborate and surprisingly deep. This would be the 2nd time I’ve shot Jean Smart and Brad Pitt this year. It’s a film I have interest in because I’ve read Kenneth Angers Hollywood Babylon and I was in Alex Monty Conawati’s Return to Babylon starring Jennifer Tilly, María Conchita Alonso, Ione Skye, Debi Mazar, Laura Harring, and Tippi Hedren. I played Ma Ketyle son in it. Monty would call me Hillbilly Billy during the shoot I could that hilarious. It was the first thing me I met Tippi. So CJ a sweetheart. It makes perfect sense for me to be into this movie because of my background and the provocative way I’ve lived my life. I expect the movie to reflect the reckless nature of early Hollywood which translates will for someone who’s a Punk Rocker. I’ve met and partied with Theda Bara’s granddaughter. Theda hung on mine and Tracy’s wall and would always celebrate our night of love making by thumping on our wall. Im in the theaters Friday for this one. Of course, the freak show and Flea was the headmaster that evening and glamour abounded in a nutty Hollywood way. I’ll post antics on my main page over the holiday. BTW, I lunched at Fanny’s too. In 1989, the Freedom From Religion Foundation honored [Butterfly] with its Freethought Heroine Award. "I'm an atheist," she had declared, "and Christianity appears to me to be the most absurd imposture of all the religions, and I'm puzzled that so many people can't see through a religion that encourages irresponsibility and bigotry."

She told a reporter, "As my ancestors are free from slavery, I am free from the slavery of religion." This quote was used by the Freedom From Religion Foundation in advertisements inside Madison, Wisconsin, buses in 2009 and in an Atlanta market in 2010.

She lamented that, if humans had focused on Earth and on people, rather than on mythology and on Jesus, there would be less hunger and homelessness. "They say the streets are going to be beautiful in Heaven. Well, I'm trying to make the streets beautiful here ... When it's clean and beautiful, I think America is heaven. And some people are hell."

Kenneth Anger (February 3, 1927) is an American underground experimental filmmaker, actor and author. Working exclusively in short films, he has produced almost forty works since 1937, nine of which have been grouped together as the “Magick Lantern Cycle.” His films variously merge surrealism with homo-eroticism and the occult, and have been described as containing “elements of erotica, documentary, psychodrama, and spectacle.” Anger himself has been described as “one of America’s first openly gay filmmakers, and certainly the first whose work addressed homosexuality in an undisguised, self-implicating manner,” and his “role in rendering gay culture visible within American cinema, commercial or otherwise, is impossible to overestimate,” with several being released prior to the legalization of homosexual acts between consenting adults in the United States. He has also focused upon occult themes in many of his films, being fascinated by the English gnostic mage and poet Aleister Crowley, and is an adherent of Thelema, the religion Crowley founded.
