There is a stinging slap landed on her rear, and when she gasps at the force of it large hands slide over the smarting skin, and a laugh rings out from behind her. “Sorry, was that too hard?” Mogens asks teasingly, leaning over her back and resting near all of his weight against her, his cock hanging heavy next to her thigh. “We can try something different—“

     Her eyes opened suddenly, a feeling of anxiety and mild shame churning in her stomach. How long had it been since she had a dream about Mogens? It had to be...well, roughly ten years at this point. Yet, it was still so vivid to her. Everything about him, his touch, his voice, the way he cared.

                                                         She was going to scream.

     Why the hell would she be dreaming of Mogens?! Was she so repressed at this point that she HAD to have a dream about him? She groaned, grabbing the pillow next to her to place over her face. She didn't want to think about this or him. This was a job for her therapist, a conversation to be had the next morning once she was awake. She didn't have time to unpack any unresolved tension or feelings for him.

     But at the moment, Erin needed some relief. She shamefully slid her hand down into her panties, thinking back to the dream and how it could have ended. What Mogens didn't know wouldn't bruise her ego. It also wouldn't allow any old feelings to arise. It meant nothing, after all.

                             It never did.

Oskars is, quite uncharacteristically, at peace. Curled up on a familiar couch in Aarhus, limbs wrapped around his lovers’ own, the hearth burning to help keep warm in the frigid winter of Denmark, the emotion at the forefront of his mind can only be contentment. The living room smells of mulled wine and allspice, and Oskars shifts away somewhat from Mogens briefly to reach for his mug and take a sip -- though he makes sure to sneak a kiss on the cheek on his way back into the Dane’s arms. 

He nestles his head on Mogens’s shoulder, a display of affection that may have once been considered rare from Oskars, but in recent weeks he’s been working on opening himself up to the well of affection he holds for his boyfriend in a manner that he had been incapable of previously.

Finally, the comfortable silence breaks, as the Latvian peeks up at Mogens with an uncommon glint in his eyes, a pensive lilt to his tone, “... I’ve been thinking of opening up a bookshop. There’s a vacant space not too far from my apartment that I think would be perfect.” He pauses, briefly gauging the other man’s expression before he continues, “I was wondering if you’d help me, what with your experience in running a business.”

I loved your song so very much, it was fantastic! I guess this year Europe wanted something different and Israel was able to give it to them, so good for them! Letters Never Sent ( SELECTIVELY Accepting! )

There’s no date on the perfectly preserved letter, but due to the wear on it, it’s easy to tell it’s ancient. Presumably, it’s from the mid-800s, but also could have been written at a later date. Regardless, the letter is in tact and perfectly readable. 

My Dearest, Halfdan

I’m writing you on this day to see if you have made it home yet. It’s been about a week since writing this letter, but I wanted to check regardless. Please, write me as soon as you get this! I need to make sure you made it home safely. The seas are dangerous, after all. Full of creatures that could destroy your ship, your crew, and you. I’ve prayed to god that he would watch over you and your men, just to ensure that you made it home and no misfortune would befall you.

I don’t regret it, if you were wondering. What we did, I was fine with. I know I was nervous. I hope I didn’t ruin anything for you. I promise you, I wasn’t at all disappointed with the outcome either. The Holy Father says that I shall be sent to hell for my sins when I die. If that day should come, I will atone for my sins at the gates of Heaven. Surely, the angels will understand. Even if I’m not sorry and I will never be sorry, I hope they will understand.

Please, come back to me soon if you can. The island feels empty here without you around. Perhaps, next time, we could go down further south and explore the forests I know a few of the Lords there and I’ll ask if we could spend the warmer months on their land. They won’t mind it. You are my guest.
