Wendy Marvell: Hogwarts AU

Wendy Marvell is a Half-Blood witch that was born on the 27th February 1978 and started attending Hogwarts on the 1st of September 1989, being sorted into Hufflepuff House.

She has a Willow wand with a Unicorn Hair core.

Her Patronus is a Antipodean Opaleye.

Her favorite subject is Charms and her least favorite subject is Defense Against the Dark Arts.

Wendy is a very shy and polite girl. She is always accompanied by her Kneazle companion, Carla, as they have a very close relationship. She is very eager to try and make friends. Wendy also cares greatly for her friends and classmate, and even suggested going to the home-town of the Mer-people in the Blake Lake to try and get them to evacuate when they were under threat. She's initially portrayed as insecure, doubting of both her ability to help her friends and appearance (eg, the sizes of her breasts), however Wendy has become more confident and brave as time goes on, and she always tries to be of help wherever she can. She is intelligent and has a very honest personality, is "direct and open with her emotions", and is easily swayed by the people around her. However, this also causes her to be "very romantic". She can be spontaneous and "very ditzy". Unlike the others that grew up in Romania on a dragon reservation, Wendy doesn't enjoy dueling, preferring to avoid it as much as possible. If, however, it's for the sake of her classmate or friends, Wendy will duel without hesitation. However, after Doranbolt saved her and Carla from dying, Wendy cut her hair, deciding she would no longer cry and whine, and would continue to fight as long as her friends are fighting as well.

Growing up without going on transportation much, Wendy suffers from motion sickness when riding on any form of transportation. Due to practically being unable to move and think properly in this state, Wendy can't cast healing spells on herself to counter it.

Wendy Marvell is a Pureblood witch that was born on the 27th of February 1985 and started attending Hogwarts on the 1st of September 1996, being sorted into Hufflepuff house.

She grew up as the youngest and only daughter of Igneel and Grandenney Marvell before she and her adopted older brother Natsu moved in with their grandmother Porlyusica after their parents were killed in an accident at the Dragon Reserve they worked at.

Due to their mother working part-time at the Fairy Tail Orphanage, she and her brother knew the orphans and considered them their second family.

When she started attending Hogwarts, she often tagged along with her brother and his friends due to her shy nature making her unable to reach out to her classmates.

Even though she was underage, she snuck back into the Hogwarts castle during the Battle of Hogwarts due to worrying about her older brother where she ended up getting sent forward seven years into the future due to a mishap with a time turner.

To everyone's surprise, she also managed to defeat a Death Eater named Ezel completely by herself during the Battle.

When she restarted her studies on the 1st of September 2005, She had grown out of her shell and eventually became best friends with the fourth year Hufflepuff Chelia but also became close friends with the fourth year Gryffindor Romeo.

She and Romeo eventually married and had a son together while Wendy started working as a healer at St. Mungos.

She has a Larch wand with a Dragon Heartstring core.

Her Patronus is a Antipodean Opaleye Dragon.

Her favorite subjects are Charms and Care of Magical Creatures.

Her least favorite subjects are Defense Against the Dark Arts and Potions.

She's having a mid life crisis questioning what she wants from her life, what she wants to do, and where she belongs. This is an awesome story of personal growth, healing, and discovering what's important to yourself. Also with some really cool fight scenes and magic and interacting with the Avengers fam.

If you like Harry Potter, the Avengers, and wholesome self discovery, then you couldn't find a better fic.

Lure of the Veela

Her shimmering pale hair and glittery eyes reveal Charon’s Veela heritage. Her famous Aunt Peggy was a regular human witch, but one of the other Carters brought home a Veela war bride. Those Veela genes assist Charon both in acrobatics and in enticing other people to trust her. Most infamously, she Veela-ed a kiss out of Stephanos Rogers,  right after Peggy's funeral, where Charon reminded everyone of her relation to Steve's old flame.

However, Charon also inherited a Veela’s temperament. She did not take kindly to Steve forgetting her completely when he rescued his other friends after the Drunken Quidditch Match, especially after she got expelled from Hogwarts and lost her Ministry internship for helping him.  She got back at the world by throwing in her lot with Mundungus Fletcher, and becoming a dealer in stolen magic artifacts.   AN: A redraw of an older version. For those wondering, "Reven8e" is a reference to a TV series Emily VanCamp stars in. I changed the spelling of Sharon's her first name to a variant from Greek mythology, to be more Potteresque.

1) How many works do you have on AO3?

I have 6 works. Rookie numbers ik. But I do have some (less than ideal) fics on wattpad, too. I started there and only joined ao3 a few years ago. I originally intended to only use ao3 to read fics, but then I started writing again and decided that it was much better to use than wattpad 😅.

2) What's your total AO3 word count?

12,624 (and counting). Higher than I thought tbh. I'm used to only seeing like 300 smt words a fic if I'm honest. I find it hard to write so much and make it sound interesting to read. But I'm proud of my current wip 😁

3) What are your top 5 fics by kudos?

"Soap as Soap?" (39), Two Crows and Their Nest (36), A Stony Fanfiction (9), Hospital Wing (9), Pacing and Potions (8)

4) What fandoms do you write for?

Hogwarts Legacy (2), Call of Duty (2), The Avengers/Marvel (1), Dragon Age: The Veilguard (1)

I have also got wips for Star Trek, and I have written wips for many others that I cannot remember right now.

5) Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

OF COURSE I DO! Any feedback is welcome, and I would like to share my appreciation for the reader who decided to comment on my fics. Sometimes I don't because at the time I probably couldn't think of anything. But that doesn't happen very often, I'd just respond with a "thank you" of some kind at the very least.

6) What's the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

None so far. Sorry to disappoint. I have a track record of never finishing fics. Although if I were it wouldn't happen very often. Depending on the ship.

7) What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

Again, none so far. Though I hope that Two Crows and Their Nest will have the happiest ending I can come up with. You'll just have to wait and see 😉✨️

8) Do you get hate on fics?

No. Not that I can remember. Most of my earlier stuff is on wattpad so I genuinely can't remember what's happened on those; I barely touch the app unless reading my own old ass fics just to poke fun at 12 year old me, so.

And I tend to get very nice feedback from both tumblr and ao3. Which I am very thankful for <3

9) Do you write smut?

I have tried in the past. I have in the past. Though I wouldn't call it smut by ao3's standards. I wrote it on wattpad.

10) Do you write crossovers?

No. I don't read them either. It makes my brain itch in a very unsatisfactory way.

11) Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Nope. Not to my knowledge. If I have, it'd probably be from my old wattpad fics. But why the heck would you nick one of those 💀

12) Have you ever had a fic translated?

Nope! I'm not out there enough for that to happen.

13) Have you ever cowritten a fic before?

Technically. I have a Star Trek wip that me and @snek-of-eden are- were writing. And I asked them to beta read it for me, and then they ended up helping me write some things too. Which I thank them for still! If I ever finish it and upload it I was planning on adding them as a cowriter for the fic because it's true. I don't want to overshadow them seen as in they are equally just as much the writer as I am.

14) What's your all-time favourite ship?

I'd have to say I don't have one. Specifically. I have a preferred ship from whichever fandom I'm currently wanting to read/write from. Right now, I'd say Lucanis Dellamorte/Male Rook. But I am also in the market for some Bloodweave (Astarion/Gale bg3)!

15) What's the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

The Star Trek one. I made my own species/planet and everything! It's the most indepth I've ever gotten into the "How's & Why's" of a fic I wanted to write. And I love it! I just don't feel like writing for that fandom rn, and I'm just scared I'm gonna abandon said fic 😔

16) What are your writing strengths?

I have been told on multiple occasions that I "have such a way with words" and personally I think I'm pretty good at describing things. More specifically people; like their eyes, or their minute details in their faces. Something like that. I'd also maybe say characters emotions? I'm not the best at those irl so I'm not sure I use the correct words or the words correctly.

17) What are your writing weaknesses?

I tend to use a lot of the same words; "and", "says", "asks", etc. I also tend to use commas like far too much. Especially in my current fic 💀 (I'm so sorry)

18) Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in a fic?

GOD YES! PLEASE! I eat that up! I love a bit of Spanish, or French, or German, or heck even Icelandic! (I have read fics with all of these languages sprinkled in here and there)

19) First fandom you wrote for?

Batman. More specifically, Batman/Joker. No. I will not elaborate.

20) Favourite fic you've ever written?

THE ONE IM CURRENTLY WRITING!!!! I am foaming at the mouth with these two (Lucanis/Velasco (My Crow Rook))! Someone put me down! 🫠

Not only is Perlmutt one of the nicest, most supportive people I've met in this fandom, she's also a fantastic writer and storyteller. Reasons why I love it: I really love Perl's take on how Steve and Tony met. It's the perfect combination of Marvel canon and Hunger Games canon, as is the rest of this fic. I especially love the choices for who is a standing in for which character in the Hunger Games, it suits them so well. And that moment on the roof is perfectly bittersweet. This fic is wonderful, and you should definitely read it!

Reasons why I love it: Aww, their reunion is so sweet, despite the circumstances! Once again, the choices Perl makes for which nation each of the characters belongs to fit perfectly, I really am in awe of her worldbuilding skills. And Tony's journey really made me feel for him, it's a good thing he was found when he was. I love this fic, and if you haven't yet, I hope you give it a shot for yourself!

What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending? Hard to say, but I'd think that's Tenderness and Ferocity.

What is the fic you wrote with the happiest ending? Most of my fics have happy endings, but maybe Dangerous and Delightful has the cheeriest one.

Do you get hate on fics? Practically never. I've had three haters that I can recall, and they weren't about the content of the fics themselves but about the tags or books I like to read 😂

Do you write smut? Yeah, I write smut in almost all of my fics.

Craziest crossover? I... don't write crossovers lol

Have you ever had a fic stolen? Not as far as I know, and I hope not.

Have you ever had a fic translated? Yes, It's not like any other love has been translated to Ukrainian.

Have you ever co-written a fic before? Yes, I was collaborating on Taking Back My Love with Offcast but we both kind of dropped it.

All time favorite ship? I can't say I have one, as I prefer reader fics.

What's a WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will? I have only one official WIP (not counting stuff in my docs), and that's my Feyd fic The Little Death. I don't actively doubt I'll finish it, I'm just not sure I will.

What are your writing strengths? I think I'm good at setting up atmosphere, and also at dialogue. At least, I enjoy writing these things.

Thoughts on dialogue in another language? There's not really any point, unless it's very simple and easy for most people to understand. But typically, it's just an unnecessary complication.

First fandom you wrote in? The very-very first was Harry Potter, back in the day on Fanfic.net.

Favorite fic you've written? I think Nothing to Despair is my favourite, mainly because of how enjoyable it was to write. It was early on in the pandemic, we had just started to work from home, and I suddenly felt like I had so much free time and it was so easy to focus and stay disciplined. I had a really good schedule set up in writing it that I've never managed to reproduce.

No twentieth question - but to continue the positive vibes. I love HogLeg fandom, it’s the first time I’ve ever had the confidence to publish any writing or finish anything I’ve started. I’ve made so many lovely friends and I’m so pleased I stopped just lurking on AO3. <<< Leaving that there from @slytherizz and adding that it's the fandom that brought me out of my hiatus and into actively writing again.

Marvel Family Hogwarts Headcanons

So I decided to write an actual au/hc type list for how I would want a Shazam and Harry Potter Crossover to go at request from a friend

1. The Wizard doesn't like Dumbledore nor the wizarding world in general

The only reason why the headmaster got a chance to speak with Billy and his siblings is because John owed Dumbledore and upon finding out about Voldemort they wanted to help

Billy, Mary, Freddy, and Kit are the ones who go

2. When they first meet Voldemort they don't actually believe he's the real dark lord everyone had been telling them about because to them he was so weak

Because of this they spend nearly the whole time mocking him and treating him like some common street crook

Voldemort was kind of (absolutely) terrified when the killing curse didn't work on them

3. They are known as the Champions of Magic apprentices being capable of using minor spells and weakened versions of their Shazam powers outside of their Shazam forms

Mary is the most skilled at using magic in her regular form

Billy is the only one who majorly struggles with this bc Mary and Freddy have both shifted so they look like themselves when they change (in the Power of shazam they could change clothes and I'm keeping that)

3. The four of them are technically considered muggles though with the whole powers tied to the wizard and rock of eternity they can do nearly any kind of magic (except for kit but his power set is different then the other three)

4. There are also various types of magic (wizard bloodline magic, divine magic, muggle magic) with the wizarding world being one of the lowest ranking

5. The ministry of magic has done so much to cover this up over the years combined with a lot of magic super heroes being more on the down low, very few in the modern wizarding world are aware of how low ranking they are on the power scale and will often bully muggle born/raised students who try to claim otherwise

6. The four of them get permission (also can be read as forced the staff to let them) to form a combat club ran by them in their hero forms where they practice using magic in real world scenarios

Despite only being a club, it's more intense then even seventh year DADA because to the Marvel family real world scenarios include fighting gods, supervillains, and literal demons

7. They often invite other magic users or members of the super hero community as guest for the club with wonder woman and Zatanna being the most recurring

As awe struck they were when wonder woman showed up to teach them combat, nearly everyone lost their minds when Mary once convinced Doctor Fate to stop by and they realized just how overpowered he was, being capable of making even the marvel family seem weak

8. Instead of being real students, their labled as guest students whoch allowed for Mary to be an extra participant in the tri wizard tournament with Mary being able to use all her powers due to looking the same as Mary Marvel

Needless to say Cedric didn't die this time around

9. The marvel family or other magic super heroes like Zatanna are a really big deal to muggle born/raised wizards

10. They're not super close friends with Harry (idk I feel like always making harry and trio the center of fics like this can take away from them even if it does make sense with him being the main character, I just want to read something different with a crossover)
