I finished Wind....... and with that, I've completed a journey! I started this blog in October 2021, almost three years ago, partly as an art blog and partly to log my thoughts as I reread the entire series chronologically. And I've finished! I've read every single Warriors book. Looking forward to continuing the journey again when Star comes out. 😌

just finished Tevinter Nights and I'm so late to the party it almost certainly doesn't need to be said, but just in case: super recommend reading it

honestly love the fact that it really is optional, nothing would make you feel like you missed something heading into DA4, but you feel like you gain a lot by diving in to it. plus: super cool descriptions of different ways magic is used, and if you're into lore and worldbuilding, hot damn is it rad as hell to see so many aspects of & locations in Thedas explored (as the title implies - often related to tevinter, if not surrounding areas).

....... barring reading all of it, if it's not your cup of tea, then I at least strongly recommend reading the last story in it - The Dread Wolf Take You, by Patrick Weekes. again, won't miss anything by not reading it, but wow you will not regret what you gain. Patrick Weekes back at it again with the Fenris-style heart grab.

so not to fish for spoilers for the next 20 (?!) chapters of hounds, but uh. will the archive warning change? cause at the moment it's set to "no archive warnings apply" but your posts are making me Very Concerned and i want a small hint on how emotionally prepared i have to make myself

uuuh i mean okay so i will most definitely be updating the archive warnings when we get there bc i too don’t wanna spoil things — but there are Several chapters to go before anything gets Wild and Crazy like that. so for now i’d say dw abt it? i just spent two hours today writing an aggressive treatise on like the inherent adoration of knowing the names of bones like they’re in love your honor and that shit is gonna be the focus for a bit here.

i’m rlly tryna find a way to talk around it without giving it away but also i mean it’s not like the major point of the plot (it’s a major plot point but it’s not like The Point™️ man i’m sorry this is inarticulate) but okay alright i will say that i’m obeying a few of the major comics canon elements (i feel like u can guess which ones) but in a sense those events won’t be the whole deal?? uuuh fuckin this is decidedly useless my b <3
