I like to think that Leo one day decides to really play around with his portaling and teleportation abilities and see the full extent of them.
Like - continuously throwing one sword and teleporting to it while throwing the next one immediately and repeating this as long as he can to see how far he can keep it up without stopping.
Making little portals in the air that lead right up against the ground so he could potentially just stand on the portal in the middle of the sky.
Ultimate storage system - anything anywhere at any time is available if he knows where to get it (personally my headcanon for why he goes from two satchels to one in the movie.)
Phasing to avoid attacks - like, he could lightly toss a sword a single centimeter and teleport to it, and in that short amount of time he can completely avoid hits.
If they ever do go to space and end up on different planets, with enough training he can just…go there, whenever. Not only would this be great for being well traveled and having more places to go in general, but this also opens up more room for connections and allies that could assist them the next time they need help against a grand foe.
Leo can easily remove injured team members from a fight and get them help without having to account for transportation times.
On that note - Leo’s teleportation in particular acts on a particle level. It’s quite literally breaking him down into particles and remaking him every time he uses it. Both for him and for anyone he uses it on. Who’s to say it can’t be used for healing? At least for basic wounds.
None of this even touches upon the offensive potential of both portals and teleportation. Leo’s abilities flourish more as a support main, but that doesn’t mean those abilities can’t easily be used as weapons - and I don’t think I need to get into how exactly they can be. Portal chopping alone can take on a very different meaning…
Furthermore, I gotta wonder if he’ll always need the swords for this, or if he could one day be able to achieve the same results without them.
My point being - teleportation and portals are super OP. Even with the abilities Leo has in present they are so unbelievably adaptable and so fun to think about in terms of basic mechanics.

Left this abandoned in the drafts (which is a bit ironic) but it's a spin on this post, where instead of Apollo just being locked in some room on Olympus somewhere, he's bound to the ruins of an abandoned Ancient Greek city. Maybe somewhere near Delphi, maybe Troy, idk.

Except the volcanic eruption was MUCH more catastrophic#but because the eruption was so big the people on the island had warning signs for like a decade before it happened#So we have ruins that have been perfectly preserved but there are no bodies#Bc all the people were able to evacuate before the disaster#I mean there aren't even animal corpses at these sites they got everyone out#Fun fact this is also considered to be a large reason why Minoan civilization ended up falling apart#ANYWAYS all that aside I heard “abandoned ruins that have been perfectly preserved in ash” and immediately thought “Hmmmm yes ... suffering#Though to be clear I would not put Apollo in the ruins of ancient Thera (Tho the thought of him being the local cryptid of Santorini is fun#But you know what other city was burned to the ground? So i was looking into the canon romworld lore and, learning that spaceships cant do any warp speed travel bc they never developed it immediately had me thinking of mechi and his sister :(. Like, i'm just imagining the angst of mechi going home with kwahu, thinking its only been like 10 years and its actually been 100 or something bc cryosleep.... could definately be a reason why the two would go for the ideology or anomoly ending
Yeah, it would make for a very heartbreaking story if Yamka wasn't every bit as stubborn and reckless as her brother. She followed him all the way to the Rim and dragged their parents along as well. They're on the planet somewhere, but as Mechi and Kwahu aren't particularly inclined to build hotels for interaction with other factions, it may take us a long time to encounter them (if we ever do).
I'm sure Mechi imagines that their reunion will begin with a long-awaited hug, but Yamka is absolutely going to punch him first. She was not happy that he decided to go galavanting about the galaxy without her, and she'll probably be torn between yelling and crying when (if) they do meet again. Mechi will be suitably chastened, I'm sure. Maybe Kwahu, too, even though he technically never did anything wrong.

i have an idea for a character design but what animals are usually associated with medicine??? the most common answer i got was snake, but i also thought of lab rats/mice, rabbits etc
#snake has the longest history with medicine especially since its shown on the rod of asclepius and the myths around venom#i also didnt know this but their shedding skin is referenced as symbols of rebirth and growth while their appearance resembles an#umbilical cord which gives it a really strong connection to health in some cultures.. although if i had to think abt modern medicine and#pharmacies the first thing i think of is white lab mice like pinky and the brain. for some reason i also thought of rabbits#bc of how its used for anti animal testing logos but thats more loose. however i did learn that the jade rabbit is shown to#use a pestle and mortar to create medicine in some stories so that could work...???? but its not as well known i think#i also thought of possums but that was more of an irony thing. same for bats but both are ironically really resistant to disease and act#as carriers. a death symbol like vultures or ravens/crows might work with a plague doctors mask but i feel#like that isnt the vibe im going for. black cat would be interesting considering superstition but im also on the fence abt that#actually what else is associated with medicine?? normally its stuff like pills crosses bandaids syringes etc#doctors coats and gloves.. especially plague doctor masks or medical masks in general but not much else huh#hand sanitizer and tissues.. pill bottles... blue nurse uniforms.. gauze and casts with signed names... hmmmm/.........#nurse dresses..??? sure?? i also see scalpels and knives but thats more for like. horror doctors for scary stories#im going for cute maybe even regular ass doctor vibe. like harvey sdv. or tony tony chopper#yapping

thinking about Kevin Day on this awful day
#specifically thinking about him having ocd#maybe not in canon but like just a thing to consider#idk something about jean saying all he's capable of is bottomless guilt made me go hmmmm interesting#also him having a borderline eating disorder and sticking religiously to his routines#maybe so he can feel any semblance of control in his life#him feeling simultaneously guilty for what happens to the foxes bc what if he did something wrong that day#what if he strayed from his routine a little too much and it caused all of this#but also him feeling panicked at the potentiality of not being able to play exy bc it's the only part of his life he *can* control fully#or he thinks he can anyways#idk if that's how ocd works tbh but I think it'd be interesting to write a kevin pov from that perspective#I'm kinda drawing from my experience having an ed and I used to get really angry and hostile when things got in the way of my routine#so kevin's bitchy behaviour makes sense in that context#other than being raised in a cult with a strict routine (and in part bc of it)#maybe he feels like if he doesn't stick to it then it will all go to shit#also do you think he blames himself for his broken hand......#this probably doesn't make sense#kevin day
