Melting your car. You hitchhike back but the person who picked you up is an axe murderer.#I could not finish it. My friends who did say it was good. But agree it was for the best I did not finish it.#Hey speaking of tone twists...We are one episode away from one of my favourite chapters being animated!#WHO'S READY FOR THE SENSHI BACKSTORY! WHO IS READY TO CRY!#ME! I AM! I spooked my flatmate with how energetic I was this morning. I'm vibrating with energy I was not designed to contain.#I should talk about today's episode here: It was very good. I love how they animated the familiars.#And!!! Anime only people now are in the loop on the Chilchuck lore. Part 1 of many. He still contains multitudes.#They all do to be honest! If this episode told us anything it was that we still don't know these characters as well as we think!#See you guys next week. I'll be inconsolable.

Just some things I think deserve a super accurate movie/show adaption in a beautiful 2D animation style:
The How to Train Your Dragon series
Gregor the Overlander
Artemis Fowl
The Adventure Zone
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Frankenstein or the Modern Prometheus
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (fr so much was left out of the 1939 film!)
Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass
The actual Little Mermaid story (there are a ton of adaptations I haven't seen yet so maybe it exists somewhere but we all know Disney’s didn’t even come close)
#the entire series for those that have one if that wasn't clear#some of these need to be done#some just need to be done RIGHT#like fr why is it so hard for adaptations to just be faithful to the source material? I love the InCryptid series by Seanan McGuire, I love these books so much, but I never see anyone talk about them (at least on Tumblr, barely any fanfic on AO3 also)
It's Urban fantasy, fairly kitchen sink, about a family of Monster Hunters turned Monster Conservationists (Cryptozoologists, Cryptobotannists, Crypto Social Workers), it's got fun world-building, it's Chocked full of found family, so much found family, and Y'all should read them
so if that sounds like fun, or you like Urban Fantasy, or you like Seanans other works (October Daye, Wayward Childen, etc) please give them a look

series will be a single entry!
My favorite books, in no particular order:
The Lord of the Rings by JRR Tolkien. One of the first long fantasy books I ever read. My copies have accompanied me to university and through every move. Life changing. My entry into fandom. A constant since childhood.
The Simon Snow Series by Rainbow Rowell. Another life changing set of books. I can't tell you how much Simon and Baz mean to me.
The Silmarillion by JRR Tolkien. Yes, another Tolkien book. One I read for the first time at 11 but didn't truly appreciate until decades later.
In Other Lands by Sarah Rees Brennan. Fantasy. Modern times. Snarky main characters. Sign me up.
Boyfriend Material by Alexis Hall. The book that got me out of my 2020 pandemic reading slump, for which I am eternally grateful. Oliver and Luc forever.
The Chronicles of Narnia by CS Lewis.
The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglas Adams.
The Lions of Al-Rassan by Guy Gavriel Kay
A Room with a View by EM Forster.
