If I had a nickel for every time I came across a random au on my feed and got immediately hooked I’d have so many two nickels which isn’t a lot it is but it’s weird that it happens so often on tumblr right?

Please I actually stumbled on these recently and I am hooked i think they look awesome!

Idk why it took so long to answer this, I think I straight up forgot it was here.

For wolfshifter Ghost au:

Most wolfshifters are known for their talkative nature. Wolves like to make all sorts of sounds, even little ones.

But Ghost is just a quiet wolf. He hardly makes a sound. He's a fan of rolling his eyes and huffing. Very sassy for a wolf.

For cryptid hunter au/cryptid Ghost:

Forest Guardians have an infancy phase and a young adult phase.

So now I'm picturing a cryptid Ghost the size of a full grown buck but he's a baby guardian. He's got the white spots on his flank and he's got no survival skills.

Not all Forest Guardians have the ability to form a human appearance and stuff like Ghost can. The way this happens is if a person dies in the forest and the guardian chooses to "bury" them.

Simon Riley was a very real person, who lived nearly a century ago, and sought peace in Ghost's forest due to his miserable life. He ends up going to the forest when he's dying from a wound. Ghost, the guardian, lies with him as he dies, and then buries Riley's body.

This forms what is known as the center or heart of the forest. If a forest has a Guardian, there's usually a large mound that seems to beat. If the guardian has buried someone, this is where the body will be.

Probably the most powerful expression Oda drew on Law because how many times have we seen him so broken and desperate. That's a boy who lost everyone within a single night along with his faith in humanity - spilling out his heart in front of a total stranger just so he can somehow evade re-experiencing this pain:

And this time it struck him worse . Now there's guilt along with grief because he brought the grim reaper to Cora himself.

Vergo is now dead and Doflamingo in Impel Down - but this isn't something you heal from in lifetime.

Years after, same story. Oda struck the same wound again, took away his sword and hat while at it, then left him in salt water.

Captain Cold for the Character Bingo? 👀

Ooh, I haven't had a chance to talk about him before, this is gonna be fun!

Captain Cold

Unfortunately, this chart doesn't have many options for characters who aren't Obsessively Infesting Your Mind but also who aren't meh to you either

That being said, my thoughts on Captain Cold: I really like him a lot! He's a great character. I heard someone say once that if you're a fan of the Flash, you're also most likely a fan of the Rogues and I think that's definitely true lol

What endears me to Cold and makes him stand out among the sea of other bad guys in DC is how he's like your everyday joe kind of villain who has a firm set of moral principles. He isn't a killer (at least he doesn't want to be) and refuses to hurt women and children. He has a tragic backstory but it doesn't really affect his present goals much, like, he's not out here on some grand mission of hunting down every abusive parent or to avenge himself and Lisa or smth. To him, the past is the past, it sucks but there's nothing you can do about it. All he wants now is some respect and a nice, hefty paycheck. He's flawed and messy but still has a sense of right and wrong, even if sometimes he has to be persuaded into it. A better person than he tries to tell himself he is and honestly, I'm just a sucker for sympathetic villains lol

I'm also a big fan of the modern update of giving him a cold-temperature gun! That's very fun and a fresh twist on a cold-themed powers~

I really love how he's formed a sort of dysfunctional found family with the Rogues. Like, all these guys have problems and they fight, but at the end of the day, they're the closest thing to a home any of these people have. Also his relationship with Lisa is so sweet. He genuinely loves and cares about her and tried to protect her from the trauma and abuse the best he could. For all his faults, he really did try to be a good big brother for her

And of course, we can't not talk about Cold without talking about his relationship to Barry. The way their relationship started out as enemies then to frenemies then to Barry being someone Cold actually considers as family??? Absolutely top tier, messes me up, 100/10

Their dynamic, to me, is at its best when they're more friends/rivals then pure enemies. Cold robs a bank, Barry shows up to stop him, they banter and snark back-and-forth. It's a old familiar routine to them. They're hero and villain and yet they're pretty chummy with each other. They fight but they're also the kind of people who hosts Christmas events for poor children together. Despite all their differences and problems, there's no real malice or hatred between them but instead a deep-seated mutual respect

Also props to Cold for being one of the few people who actively understands just how dangerous speedsters can be. He still provokes Barry/the other speedsters and doesn't pull his punches but he knows he's dealing with a bunch of lions. Now they're very nice lions (most of them, anyway), but they're still very much man-eating lions and there's lines Cold knows not to cross some lines if he doesn't want to be mauled to death

Overall, Cold is a really fun character and honestly, I'd really like to see him regain some of his whimsy again. I don't mean I want him to be a joke villain, no I still want him to be competent but I think he should be allowed to be silly again and let him have more team-ups with Barry from time to time lol

*much sarcasm* I'm absolutely doing this against my will. Totally, of course. Absolutely hating this process.

extremely questionable methodology but i compiled all the dialogue spoken between Shigaraki and Deku starting from when Shigaraki breaks out of AFO’s control in Chapter 379 up to Chapter 412.

(There are chapters where they appear but do not speak. Those are the chapter numbers.)

The takeaway is that Shigaraki is extremely chatty! A lot of it is taunts, but Shigaraki’s also revealing a lot of stuff about his plans and his opinions.

Deku does not seem as interested in returning the conversation, however. Whenever he does speak, it’s less in response to any of the content of Shigaraki’s chatter, and more heroic statements of intent. (The ‘you’re still human’ is the only direct refutation, I think.)

To be fair, his focus is all on surviving Shigaraki’s attacks. Nearly all his internal thoughts are strategy - combining a quirk with this quirk, how exactly he can physically stop Shigaraki. Additionally, before Chapter 410, he was probably too worried about All Might; while for most of Chapter 412, he was asphyxiating. Hard to chat when so much shit is happening.

And you can argue Shigaraki is just Villain monologuing. Deku doesn’t have to pay attention to anything he says - a lot which are, after all, taunts - he doesn’t have to engage with Shigaraki’s dumb rants.

His goal is to save Shigaraki/The Crying Child, and only that - not like talking or asking questions about anything or responding is required for that.

It's missing Magic and Mystery hours anyways remember when Dazai told Atsushi in canon that people tend to cry when their fathers die and in chapter 19 when Mori kills the previous boss Dazai's got blood all over his face because of his eye getting stabbed out. Because I do.
