Secret Skeleton for @pocketcrimes :
Pumpkin Pixels
Summary: Halloween season has hit the Pizzaplex. Eclipse (Ruin) and Starfall are enjoying some holiday fun when an unexpected guest joins in. word count: 3.2k Starfall belongs to @pocketcrimes go check them out!
Halloween was fast approaching the Pizzaplex. A chill was in the air, brisking in through the doors the customers entered through, with many a staff bot sweeping up stray leaves that had been tricked in. The bright neon glow of the place was now accompanied by spooky banners, posters advertising events, and cardboard cutouts of Halloween themed characters. Attendance was up and so were the prices.
The guests were not the only ones joining in on the festivities. Each animatronic had new events scheduled for guest from making spider paper pals, a trick or treat event in rock star row where children went to each Galmrock’s room for candy, a Halloween themed dance party with DJ Music Man, and so on.
The spirit of the season for the animatronics was not limited to working hours. All the animatronics were taking time in their off hours to have some fun, particularly in the Superstar Daycare.
While Sun and Moon worked with the kids, currently making pipe cleaner spiders to match the paper pals, the other animatronics in the daycare were enjoying some downtime by getting into the spirit of the season.
Eclipse and Starfall were in the balcony room above the ball pit, the walls littered with children’s drawings with many of the newest ones having a Halloween theme. The two sat across from one another, a couple of pumpkins on the floor between them.
The plan was to paint them since carving them and all the extra work that required would be an even bigger mess than the daycare usually handled. Sun and Moon had enough sticky messes to deal with between the glitter glue and the sticky fingers of children running around all day, they did not need globs of pumpkin innards and pumpkin seeds in their room. Painting was a safer option, both in the mess sense and the actual safety sense.
Starfall and Eclipse were sitting on top of an old tablecloth that had been laid out to help avoid making a mess on the floor. It was already proving to have been a wise idea, drops of paint littering the thing. Though there was still plenty of paint on the floor anyway, something they were sure Sun would complain about later.
But for now, the two were enjoying each other’s company and painting pumpkins. Each were currently working on fresh, orange canvases. Starfall had already painted two pumpkins and Eclipse had done three.
The first of Starfall’s pumpkins had been a simple, traditional silly face. A big painted on smile with upturned eyes in a triangular shape. The second one was of Eclipse’s face, which Eclipse found endearing. There was also some tape and colored paper used to liven up the pumpkins, Starfall having attached paper triangles on the sides of the one pumpkin to mimic Eclipse’s rays, he would work on a paper nightcap for the pumpkin when he was done painting the rest since that took a bit more work than just cutting out triangle shapes with safety scissors.
Eclipse’s pumpkins were in a similar vein to Starfall’s second pumpkin, with one having Sun’s face, the second Moon’s, and the third being Starfall’s. Eclipse’s pumpkins also had the paper cutouts taped to them, at least the ones that needed them. The hats for Moon and Starfall’s pumpkin designs still needed to be made once Eclipse was done with his other pumpkins.
“What’s your next pumpkin design going to be?” Starfall asked, tilting his head. His cap dragging on the floor as he did.
“Hmm, not sure,” Eclipse paused in thought for a moment. “Maybe I could-.”
Bzzt
Eclipse was cut off by a sound coming from somewhere else in the room. It had sounded electrical, a crackle of some sort.
“What was that?” Starfall leaned to the side to look behind Eclipse.
“Not sure,” Eclipse began. Before he could continue, Starfall stood from his spot, pumpkin still in hand.
The noise sounded like it had come from the secret little room connected to this one via a little blue tube crawl space.
Bzzt.
There it was again. Starfall bent down, crawling through the tube to the other room. His upper pair of arms held the pumpkin while the bottom pair were used to crawl along. The plastic creaked and shifted under his weight, and when he arrived on the other side he discovered the source of the noise to be an old arcade cabinet.
He had seen it once before when first exploring back here, but it had never turned on before so it was little more than something to look at. The arcade cabinet was predominantly a sky blue, with red trim around the edges of the machine. A pattern of fluffy clouds and colorful balloons covered the side of the cabinet, accompanied by Sun’s face in the sky and Balloon Boy floating thanks to some balloons in his hand.
Bzzt bzzt.
It made the sound again, louder this time. The blank screen booted to life, a soft staticky sound starting to hum from it.
Eclipse had stood from his spot at this point. “Find the noise?” he called.
“Yeah it’s-,” Starfall approached the arcade cabinet, carefully reaching out a hand to touch the controls, but was cut off when he did so.
Bzzt bzzt bzzt.
Starfall drew his hand back at a tiny little shock. The noise increased in intensity and then the screen went to a garble of pixeled static. The screen began to let off a soft yellow and orange glow, and Starfall watched as the pixels on the screen seemed to bleed through into reality. Pixels danced in the air around the screen and then a clawed hand appeared out of the screen.
The colors were a dark, rusty red and black with glowing yellow joints for the knuckles, and the modeling of the hand and arm resembled that of the other daycare attendants. The arm even had a ribbon and bells wrapped around their wrist. The hand gripped one side of the arcade cabinet before another hand emerged from out of the screen and did the same to the other side of the cabinet.
The hands pulled and pushed forward a rayed head through the screen. It resembled Sun’s face only with an extra, smaller set of yellow rays surrounding the main set of orange rays. Its eyes were glowing yellow, and so was its fanged grin.
“Hello!” his voice came out staticky and at awkward, shifting pitches. Pixels were radiating off of him as a second pair of arms emerged out of the screen, coming to rest on the control panel of the machine.
“Is someone else in there?” Eclipse asked from just outside the plastic tube.
“There most certainly is~” his grin widened as he spoke.
“Oh!” Starfall leaned forward, no concept of the personal space he could’ve been breaching. “Who are you, new friend?” he asked eagerly.
“Quite eager, aren’t you?” he laughed before continuing. “You can call me Eclipse.”
“Eclipse? You can’t be Eclipse, that’s Eclipse,” Starfall turned back toward the entryway, pointing to where Eclipse was on the other side of the tube. The Eclipse in the arcade cabinet let out a little scoff.
“That’s obviously a different Eclipse,” he said.
“Oh, well…maybe we could make it easier to not mix you two up. We could call you…Arcade Eclipse or-,” Starfall glanced up at the title on the arcade cabinet. “Balloon World Eclipse?”
“Hmm I suppose Arcade Eclipse should suffice. And it’s faster than saying ‘Balloon World’ every time,” Arcade Eclipse seemed to accept the decision.
“What’re you doing in a game? Why are you out now? Can you come out and join us?! Oh, that would be sooooo fun!” Starfall rambled.
“Well, I’d require some assistance to fully leave the machine, I could only escape this far because you touched the controls.” Arcade Eclipse made no attempt to explain or give answers to Starfall’s first two questions, but Starfall was too eager over the possibility of a new friend to mind. He cared little about where this new friend came from anyway, more concerned with where this new possible friendship was going instead. “Hmm. What do you have there?” Arcade Eclipse gestured to the pumpkin still in Starfall’s upper pair of hands.
“Oh, this? We’re painting pumpkins for Halloween! You should join us!” Starfall lifted his lower pair of arms. “You said you need help, right? I’ll pull you out! It won’t shock me again, will it?”
“One way to find out!” Arcade Eclipse grabbed onto Starfall’s hands with his upper pair of arms while using the lower pair to push against the arcade cabinet.
Starfall pulled, with all the strength he could muster, and Arcade Eclipse slowly made his way fully out of the arcade cabinet.
Bzzt bzzt bzzt BZZT.
With one final tug, Arcade Eclipse was free of the confines of the arcade cabinet. The electrical hum of sounds from the machine faded away, Arcade Eclipse dusting himself off. A few more pixels radiated off of him as he did.
“There we go! Now you can paint with us, come on!” Starfall pulled Arcade Eclipse along behind him back towards the little plastic tube they had crawled through. Arcade Eclipse was cut off guard by the tug, nearly stumbling as he was forced to follow along. “Eclipse! Meet our new friend who’s decorating pumpkins with us!” Starfall beamed as he came out the other side of the tube, Eclipse waiting for him there.
Once Starfall moved aside, Arcade Eclipse climbed out after him. “This is Arcade Eclipse! He’ll be joining us in the fun!”
“Hello, nice to meet you,” Eclipse greeted, taking in the four armed sight before him.
“Likewise,” Arcade Eclipse looked Eclipse up and down before turning his attention to the pumpkins laid out on the tablecloth across the floor. Before he could speak again Starfall grabbed him by the hands again and started walking towards where the pumpkins were, pulling him along.
“Come on, come on! Oh, here, you can paint this one!” Starfall stopped pulling once they both arrived to the tablecloth, turning to Arcade Eclipse and passing the unpainted pumpkin in his hands to him. “Sit, sit!” Starfall encouraged, taking his own seat where he had been before his little investigation of the sound.
Eclipse joined him, returning to his own spot as well. Arcade Eclipse remained standing there for a moment, glancing between the two and shooting a glance to the balcony before returning his gaze to the pumpkins.
He supposed it wouldn’t hurt to entertain this idea.
Arcade Eclipse took a seat between and to the side of Eclipse and Starfall. He stared at the pumpkin in his hands, turning it this way and that to examine it.
“Do you know how you’re going to decorate it?” Starfall asked curiously, holding out a paintbrush to him.
“Hmm, not sure painting in particular is really my thing. Though I do have an idea~,” Arcade Eclipse held the pumpkin in his lower pair of hands, while using one of the top ones to drag a clawed digit down the skin of the pumpkin.
There was a slight sound of singeing and as Arcade Eclipse dragged his finger along the pumpkin a burned, etched in line followed.
“Oh my,” Eclipse said, leaning over to watch.
“WOW! That’s amazing!” Starfall leaned over as well, getting much closer to Arcade Eclipse than Eclipse had. “Just be careful the only thing you burn is the pumpkin,” he reminded. Safety was important after all.
After a moment to ensure Arcade Eclipse was being careful, Starfall went back to working on his last pumpkin. Soon Eclipse did the same.
Eclipse was planning on making this last pumpkin be a little painting of him, Sun, Moon, and Starfall, but now he was adding Arcade Eclipse to the mix in an effort to be friendly.
Starfall was making his last pumpkin be Arcade Eclipse’s face, similar to the pumpkin he had made of Eclipse. Starfall also tried to take a peek at Arcade Eclipse’s pumpkin every now and then, but he didn’t really get a good look at whatever design was being made.
“What do you think, new friend?” Starfall suddenly asked, holding up his painted pumpkin to Arcade Eclipse. “I still have to add your rays, but do you like it so far?” Starfall asked expectantly.
Arcade Eclipse stared at the thing for a moment, and then another. “I like it.” It was simple, to the point, but Starfall appreciated the compliment none the less.
“Oooooo yes! I’m so glad!” Starfall set the pumpkin down and then grabbed some orange and yellow construction paper, tracing out triangles, and cutting out the shapes. “Once I’m done this, do you think you could help me with the nightcaps, Eclipse?”
“Of course, it’s no problem,” Eclipse assured.
By the time Starfall had finished making the paper cut out rays and moved on to working on the nightcap for Moon’s design, Arcade Eclipse was still working diligently on his own pumpkin.
Arcade Eclipse wasn’t so sure why he had gotten so invested in the simple task of drawing on a pumpkin. He supposed it was simply a time killer until it was safe enough to explore his new surroundings without having to worry about human staff freaking out over him being out and about. He could get the lay of the land later, with the way Starfall eager to talk he wouldn’t be surprised if Starfall offered up a tour himself.
“What’re you going to do when you’re done your pumpkin?” Eclipse suddenly asked, turning to Arcade Eclipse.
“Good question! What’re you gonna do? You’re not gonna leave and go back into the arcade cabinet, are you?” Starfall pouted at the thought of his new friend being sent away so soon.
“Hmmm. Not sure, never been out before. Don’t know how long it’ll last before I need to go back to the cabinet to recharge, or if that’s something I need to worry about at all. But it doesn’t matter, if I must return I can simply employ to pull me back out again,” Arcade Eclipse shrugged, not too bothered by the idea since he had a certainty he wouldn’t be trapped permanently in that old dusty box again.
“You’ve never been out before?” Eclipse asked, tilting his head and his rays ticking inward slightly as he asked.
“That’s awful! Or maybe it was nice, I don’t know how cramped it is in there- Oh! Maybe once all the Halloween festivities calm down we could give you a proper introduction to the plex!” Starfall rambled.
“It is a bit hectic at the moment with all the special events, so I think waiting before parading you around the plex for a tour is probably for the best,” Eclipse concurred.
“Fair enough,” Arcade Eclipse shrugged again, not arguing to explore sooner. The process of lightly burning his pumpkin was unexpectedly soothing, even if it did produce a slightly burnt smell in the room.
The three continued to work on their pumpkins and just as Starfall and Eclipse finished making the paper nightcaps to place on their pumpkins, Arcade Eclipse had finished his work too.
“Can I see, can I see? Please, please, please?” Starfall leaned forward quickly, trying to see around the pumpkin before Arcade Eclipse had a chance to turn the thing.
“Yes, yes, hold on,” he huffed before slowly turning to reveal the burnt image. The pumpkin held an intricately scene of an arcade cabinet with ghostly hands reaching out of the borders of the screen while through the center of the screen Arcade Eclipse himself was emerging. His fanged smile appeared to have wisps of either smoke or trails of ghosts seeping out of it, and the arcade cabinet itself had depictions of ghosts swirling around it.
“Oh, wow! That’s so detailed! It looks amazing! And spooky, hehe,” Starfall giggled, setting his face right next to the pumpkin to examine each tiny part of the scene. From up close Starfall could see the lines making up the design were almost pixelized along the edges.
“It is very nice. Seems like we’re out of pumpkins now,” Eclipse pointed out.
“Maybe we could get some more! Or we could find something else to do, Eclipse do you think you could see if there are any more?” Starfall asked.
“I could see if there were any I missed but-,” Eclipse was cut off by a sound.
Bzzt.
The noise returned from the other room, but this time it also seemed to have an effect on Arcade Eclipse. He jerked around a bit where he sat, a larger amount of pixels radiating off him.
“Are you alright?” Eclipse asked.
“Oh no! What’s wrong?!” Starfall asked worriedly.
“I think-,” Arcade Eclipse’s voice cut out in a static mess for a second before he could regain his bearings. “I believe I have been out of the arcade for too long. My body isn’t used to being out of it.”
“Perhaps its something you need to slowly accumulate to? Staying out of the arcade a little longer each time until your used to it enough that you can stay out without issue,” Eclipse theorized.
“I hope that’s the case! I don’t want our new friend to be stuck in that box again,” Starfall sighed.
“Hopefully. But I should return before things get any-,” Arcade Eclipse was interrupted by another bout of jerky movements.
Bzzt bzzt.
“Worse,” Arcade Eclipse grimaced before being greeted by Starfall’s hand in his face, held out to help him up.
Arcade Eclipse took Starfall’s hand, another slight shock happening when he did. He was led by Starfall back to the arcade machine, Eclipse following behind him.
Bzzt bzzt bzzt.
“We’ll be sure to have you visit again soon, friend! We don’t want you stuck in there too long,” Starfall promised. “And we’ll be sure to display your pumpkin with all of outs! Unless you’d like to take it with you?”
“Keep it. I’m not so sure it would survive the trip into the cabinet,” Arcade Eclipse explained. “I’ll see you again, you can be sure of it.” His grin was sharp as ever as he reached out to touch the game’s display screen.
Bzzt bzzt bzzt BZZT.
There was a flash of yellow and orange light from the screen, pixels emanating off the machine and lingering in the air for a moment. The air had an electrical smell and once the light faded, Arcade Eclipse was gone, returned to the confines of the arcade cabinet.
“Well, that was nice,” Eclipse said, heading back out into the main room. Starfall lingered by the arcade cabinet, staring at the now blank and empty screen, before ultimately following Eclipse.
“I hope we get to see him again,” Starfall said. “What should we do now?”
“Come on, lets see what other craft supplies we have lying around. We could make paper plate Halloween masks,” Eclipse suggested.
“That’s a wonderful idea!” Starfall said, following Eclipse.
They left their pumpkins huddled together on the paint splattered tablecloth, with an extra, lightly burned pumpkin among them as a new, official friend of the group.

the stars are eternal (and we were not)
Angry gaze, battle stance, and, curiously enough, a bejewelled staff worthy of an Archmage. This was his first impression of you.
He first met you when roaming the skies of the Endless Plains, streaky pink and peach marking the first blush of dawn. The green grass plains appeared to roll on for an eternity, as endless as the cosmos. With the sky above and land below, he felt free, unconstrained by his earthly shackles.
His peace was disturbed, screaming and yells of anger reaching him. Below, a group of miniatures were fighting against a sun mage, a wall of fire separating them from a fleeing group. Strange, sunfire elves in the Endless Plains, no less fighting other elves.
Smoothing a patient smile upon his face, he flew down, patting his moonbeast's flank. Eyes burning, he choked on arid smoke and burnt flesh, casting a simple spell to breathe clean air. Moondancer huffed, shaking her head, landing heavily. Dismounting, he surveyed the scene.
Flickering fire clawed at the sky, thick smoke heavy in the air. Earthblood elf corpses littered the ground, claret bleeding into the soil, the stench of death pressing in. And at the centre, a human mage, glimmering staff pointed at him.
"Tell me, elf, do you too hunger for death?"
You were beautiful.
-
"Tell me, why the sun arcanum? What drew you to sun magic?"
You grinned wryly, perched on the table in the run-down human bar you'd invited him to. In disguise of course. "I was waiting for you to ask me that." Candle-light flickered across the planes of your face, eyes dark and knowing. "I cannot say what drew me to the sun arcanum, only that I knew it called to me. Using it's magic, I felt so alive. I suppose that's how you feel about the star arcanum."
He adjusted the hood of his inky black cloak, a silvery sheen to the fabric that drew the eye, shifting on the hard wooden bench. "I feel that I am hardly inconspicuous, even in my elegant attire." Even facing away from the other patrons, he could feel their eyes burning against his back, ears straining for even a whisper of the mysterious conversation between a cloaked stranger and the human mage.
"They won't give you any trouble." You looked over his shoulder, gaze hardening. "They know you're with me, and that is all they need to know." You leant forward, smile gleaming, hand daringly placed upon his own. "Now tell me, how might I learn to access the earth arcanum?"
You were fascinating.
-
"You... care for me?"
"Is it so difficult to believe?" Head tilted, your fingers brushed over his own, before quickly darting away, movement jittery.
For once in his life, he was uncertain.
This confession had been unexpected. You and he had been collecting rare moonflowers (you hoped to cultivate them in your own garden), alone in the glade except for the moon lighting the land with her pearly glow. Once finished filling the basket, you had decided to stay, encouraging him to stargaze with you. You weren't an elf, you didn't know that this was how many star-touched elves confessed, revealed their love. And yet, and yet- somehow, some way, you knew. You knew and you had confessed and you had taken the time to learn more about his people and you cared and-
Apprehensive at his pause, you said, "It's okay if-"
"I care for you as well," he found himself saying. And he meant it. He adored you, cared for you, loved you, more than he imagined himself capable of. From the first moment he had met you, he found himself enamoured by your very presence, his heart the tides to your moon. If he loved you any less, he may have hated you for it. "Life is dull without you, my love. Without the sun of your presence, the land is dark and cold. My moon, my love, shall we gaze at the stars together for all eternity?"
You smiled coyly, hand twining with his own. "Lovely poetry, come up with it on your own?"
He smirked. "Yes, did you enjoy my elegant prose?"
You shifted closer, bringing your hand to his cheek, fingers tenderly cupping his face. "It was very romantic. Makes my confession seem bland in comparison."
"I quite enjoyed yours." He too moved closer, looping an arm around your waist. "It was so earnest, so honest. Very in character."
"Really?" you breathed. Your grin broadened, a mix between delighted and mischievous. Incredibly tempting, dare he say it.
"Yes."
He kissed you.
-
The market place bustled around him, air brimming with life and energy. Shiny bolts of fabric in every colour of the rainbow hung against burnt red clay walls, venders and shoppers alike chatted in a mix of languages all different from each other, creating a buzz that faded into the background. Wooden stalls on either side lined the streets, hosting every item imaginable, from children's toys to rare magical artifacts and intricate weapons crafted from magical metal. The sun burned overhead, light hazy as it pierced through silk sheets covering the air above the market, providing shade from its relentless heat. And the aromatic, delicious smell of fresh food straight off the fire, constant and pressing in causing his stomach to rumble.
All around him, humanity thrived, flourished. He had never seen so many humans, all so different from one another, different heights and colours, different tongues. But all content, all at peace. They were not the magicless monsters the elves had painted them as, he had yet to see any human undeserving of life.
And you, always you, leading him through the human market. You wanted to show him something, something important. Important enough for him to once again be in disguise, although he doubted it was incredibly helpful your fellow humans were stopping around him, staring and whispering. Unable to contain their surprise. He doubted they would be to happy to see an elf, a mage no less, intruding in their sanctuary. He hoped you weren't going to do something dangerous.
At last, you came to a pause, staring up at a two-story building that seemed almost out of place considering the thin winding streets you had led him through. People constantly came in and out of the building, placed at the intersection of five different streets, almost like a focal point the rest of the market had been built around.
You turned to him. "Okay, so, uh." He raised a brow. "Okay, you may be a bit surprised, since, well, what I'm about to show you is very - very strange. But, I think you'll think it's cool." You nervously laughed. "Amazing actually."
"I'm sure I'll be sufficiently amazed." He takes your hands in his own, squeezing. "You need not worry." He smiles at you reassuringly, and you return it, albeit with a hint of nerves.
"Okay, so, let's go." You grin widely, pulling him into the what he soon came to know as the library. His fellow elves would be in shock to know humans had libraries, let alone written language.
You soon showed him the surprise, and he was amazed. To think, all this time, you had been teaching your fellow humans primal magic, helping him to connect to the arcanums. Mixed with his wonder at your kindness and general awe at human tenacity, the thought that his kin would not be happy with this could not help but linger at the back of his mind. This would have far-reaching consequences, ones humanity and elven kind would not be prepared to face.
-
"You should heed my warning." Aaravos felt helpless, flustered (he'd never felt this way before). You ignored him, still barking out orders to your numerous apprentices. All around him, human mages swarmed the meeting space, all frantic, all hurried, urgently carrying out your orders, carting books, scrolls, tapestries, artifacts. "Flee to the west, beyond the setting sun. Leave Norvos, leave Xadia."
You frowned, irritated as you lug a large tome to the boxes piled in the centre of the room. "You know I cannot. I must stay here, be with my people. I cannot flee, run away with my tail between my legs." You turn to him, gaze harsh. "You know this."
He wanted to scream, to grab you by the shoulders, shake you until you saw sense. "Let go of your foolish human pride and go. The elves and dragons won't spare you, nor your people. Take them with you." He grabbed your hands, bringing them to him.
Your scowl deepened. "I cannot bring millions of people with me to the west. I can't just uproot them from their homes. Xadia is their home as well. You cannot ask this of me."
"The elves and dragons will not spare you. They will bring fire and raze all you love to the ground." His grip tightened, plea entering his voice. "Leave Xadia, come with me to the west. It'll be an adventure, just the two of us. Just like you always wanted."
"Aaravos, I-"
"They're going to kill you!"
The room grew quiet, all eyes turning to him, the lone elf in their midst.
"And what of it?" You pulled away, taking a step back. A chasm sprang between him and you, he felt the loss like a missing limb. "Do you think us helpless? Unable to defend ourselves from the 'higher beings'? If they wish to fight with fire, let them, they took will die in the flames. Humanity will persevere, endure."
The room cheered, fists up in salute.
"You will die, all of you! The dragons-"
"Get out." Your voice was cold, cold where it had always been warm. "Leave Aaravos, and come back when you change your attitude."
"Fine, die with your useless pride. It won't warm you in the grave." He stormed out, door slamming behind. You were a fool, a prideful fool who could never acknowledge when it was time to flee. But no matter, you would see sense soon. And he too would come back when he had calmed down. They still had time, time before they came. His kin would not march for another week.
He was wrong.

First Date
The Sun had set, and the Moon had risen high into the sky, when Prince opened the door to his home, wearing a big, unfading smile, and a bright blush on his face. He hovered inside at a snail's pace, where he landed on his bed and buried his face in a pillow, trying to muffle his ecstatic laughter.
To nopony's surprise, his silly giggling was loud enough for all of his roommates to hear, who went to his room to find him gently hugging his pillow on his bed, and blushing even harder than before. They could not help but smile when they saw his expression, and wondered about his date with Manta.
As Prince hugged his pillow more tightly and chuckled, he told them: "Well, you know I went to pick her up after breakfast. I can't properly explain how nervous I was when I knocked on her door, with a small bouquet of flowers. But when Manta stepped into the sunlight, I felt my heart skip a beat."
To his relief, his roommates stayed quiet anytime he got flustered, and he continued: "I will never forget her smile when she saw me holding the flowers, but as she was still getting ready, she asked me to step inside. When she grabbed my hoof, I was speechless, so I just nodded, and followed her."
"Manta has looked fantastic from the moment I first saw her, so I didn't notice anything, until she said she still had to brush her mane. I felt butterflies in my stomach, and a lump in my throat, so I just nodded, and waited until she was ready, which took as long as it did for me to find a vase."
"I had planned out the entire day, so after we left, we went to a small café, where we had some tea and cake. My heart melted when she drank her tea, and I noticed her flittering wings. After this, I took her to an animal rescue home, where we spent time feeding and petting the litters they saved."
"She had such a bright smile on her face as she sat there with dozens of puppies and kittens around her. The wonder I saw in her gorgeous eyes, welling up with tears, as she held those little ones so gently and carefully. Though the staff was very thankful, it broke our hearts to leave them there."
When they saw how red his face was, Prince's roommates gave him some water, as they expected him to start whistling steam. He laughed, and thanked them, before he said: "We had lost track of time, as it was nearly sundown when we left, so I had to skip some things I planned, and we went to dinner."
"A restaurant away from the centre of town, where both of us frequently went. I've got so many fond memories of that place… And now, I can add meeting Manta, and having dinner with her on our first date, to that list. After dinner, I brought her home, where she took my hoof, and she gave me a k-"
As his face started to turn even redder than before, and he put his head in his hooves, Prince told them: "It was the best day I could have asked for, and Manta made it even better. To think we could have missed out on meeting each other… I cannot properly explain how lucky I am to have met her."
"I just hope she feels the same way…"
(Thanks for reading this bonus! If you'd like a story of your own, feel free to send a request!) (A commission story for PrinceWhateverer about his and MantaNova's sona's!)

Find the Words Tag
Tagged by @mrbexwrites here and @mister-writes here - thank you💜
I'll pass it onto: @cee-grice @squarebracket-trick @chauceryfairytales @ceph-the-ghost-writer. Your words are: brick, tree, cloud, sun.
I've got enough of The Prince's Shadow to find these words surely...
From @mrbexwrites: dark, bright, part, thing
DARK
Gullin clapped him on the shoulder and turned around, taking a key crystal on a small chain out of his pocket. He wrapped it around his Knife and stabbed the air, then turned the Weapon as if it were a key. A vertical slit appeared a foot above the ground, then grew sideways, to the size of a barn door. Inside it, there was the Void littered with unreal stars. Gullin stepped into it without hesitation. The slit shrank, until it disappeared, leaving Lissan on his own, in the dark, empty clearing.
BRIGHT
The mention of the brat soured Erya’s mood, not helped by the bright sun beating relentlessly on the paved courtyard outside the Central Command. She exchanged her spectacles for dark-tinted ones and pulled the sleeves over her hands — her knuckles were sunburnt already. Bracing herself, she stepped out into the light.
PART
“I’d like Nikols Thunderglass to take on this role.” Erya blinked at her, but no, she’d really just… suggested her own second in command for the post. Very rarely would a captain general part with their right hand, but then Anthea would be one of these few cases. This wasn’t the main issue with the suggestion.
THING
Gullin paused at the intersection of the Chestnut Promenade with the road that ran along the bank of the river. Turning right, he’d get to the pub where his friends were probably gathering, and they’d toast him and congratulate him, and for the first time since he could remember, this was the last thing he wanted.
~*~
From @mister-writes: catch, teeth, hand, and remember.
CATCH
Gullin had sent a sergeant here a couple of days ago. Her name was Linna, and she wielded a Staff shod in a thin layer of cold iron. She was good enough to catch the Brigadier’s attention. She needed a chance to shine, to justify a bursary for officer’s commission. She didn’t return. She’d been accompanied by a guide from the Infantry, but his report didn’t add up. Gullin suspected that he’d turned tail and ran when things started to heat up. Hence the Brigadier himself came to see what had happened to her and to deal with the rampaging Sword.
TEETH
“Lie still, sir.” The unfamiliar voice was coming from a distance, but he listened to it nevertheless. He didn’t feel like trying to move again, and instead focused on swallowing down the bile. He sucked in air through clenched teeth while taking stock of all his limbs and appendages. His head hurt. So did his left arm. His left side smarted. Broken ribs or just fractured, he wondered as he was getting used to the pain.
HAND
Anthea sat at the head, imperious as always in her favourite wine-red gown, with a silver circlet with a delicate multi-rayed star on her brow. She held herself straight, with her head high, and the Shadow’s eyes lingered on her familiar features. Her lush, dark hair was immaculately gathered in a silver filigree net at the back of her neck, and her steel-grey eyes looked at her peers with the comforting hardness. Light caught the silver signet ring with the Moon-and-Star emblem on her right hand as she set down the cut-crystal wine glass. She wore the ring over a thin black glove made of fine leather.
REMEMBER
Gullin stopped by the Hall of Contemplation first. He put the broken Staff on the temporary memory shrine there, where it would wait until Linna’s family was notified and they would make arrangements for the funeral. That was, if she had any family. Gullin was feeling increasingly guilty that he couldn’t remember anything about it. He instructed the enlisted Sword standing guard there to put up a notice with Linna’s name, to give her comrades a chance to say their farewells.

This one is also good from the injury prompts one;
"Trying to hide your injury from them, but failing miserably once you faint right in front of them"

From your viewpoint up over Gator Golf, you could take in a solid quarter of the Pizzaplex’s floor plan. The fact it was only a quarter boggled the mind, but it was, on the whole, a small quarter. Wait, no, that didn’t help your mental map in your head. It was big. The massive hall contained so much to see, with Gator Golf taking up only one section of the floor space. Down further you could see the Glamrock stage, now being cleaned up by various staff bots after the final performance of the day. Glitter, confetti and scraps of colorful paper littered the ground stretching away from the stage, remnants of the excited audience of children. The last few families were beginning to make their way towards the doors, although a handful of people were still making the most of their daily passes and going for another round on the golf course. With the going price of the tickets, you can’t blame them.
Judging by the wandering presence of one tall purple mohawked alligator, Monty was already free of autograph signing duty. You watched as he moved from golf par to par, high-fiving a couple teenage kids. Like the other Glamrocks, he was downright popular, especially with the ‘too cool’ and badass wanna-be older kids. You hadn’t spoken to him too much, since his attitude towards the staff tended to be….abrasive. But he hadn’t told you to scram, and when he stopped to look up at you in your little perch, he pointed a finger up like he was mimicking a Fazblaster. And he grinned when you dramatically mimed keeling over backwards like he’d hit a direct shot. Your own smile was hidden as you stared up at the ceiling. It was nice, working here, with animatronics around that acted more like friends or funky siblings rather than awkward coworkers.
The tannoy announced half an hour before the Pizzaplex closed, giving you the jostle needed to abandon your lookout post and start making your way down towards the floor level. As you walked, you kept a good eye on the various corridors, connecting doorways to routes you knew already. In one direction was a circuit that would take you through the upper walkways over the Daycare, in another direction you could spy a connecting door to the arcade center. Circling down a spiral staircase behind a staff door, you pushed your way out into the emptying Pizzaplex ground floor. How quickly the building could hollow itself of any skin crammed with life. Only a couple of map bots and the evening march of janitorial bots could be seen moving across the long entry hall. Tipping your security hat at one of the little yellow lads, you walked up the deactivated escalators, waving out the final customers with a Fazbear-trademarked smile. Finally, you found your perch at the base of the Sun and Moon statues, settling on the base and staring out in the direction of the entryway doors. Finally, you heard the tannoy proclaiming the Pizzaplex was shut. Finally, your job hours kicked in and the lights dimmed around you.
Metal skittered over metal, claws tapping against gleaming bronze. You slowly tilted your head back, watching as the six-limbed figure descended along the surface of the statues. Three amber eyes caught yours, and even in the low light you could see Eclipse’s head rotate around excitedly.
“Play time?” his voice echoed down, bouncing from the distant walls.
“Not yet,” you replied, tapping a finger against your nose. As much fun as it was to get going right away, you’d made a promise to Sun and Moon that you would socialise with Eclipse under their supervision. Something about the first few ‘play’ sessions that had the Daycare attendant unhappy with Eclipse having free range of you.
Certainly nothing to do with jealousy, no.
Humming in temporary disappointment, especially since you weren’t making any moves away from here at the moment, Eclipse completed his skittering descent down the statues to fold himself up behind you. One hand reached over, hesitated, and then gently pushed your hat down your head. Before you could turn to admonish him for the cheekiness, you felt his claws so carefully beginning to brush across the top of your head.
“Soft.”
Oh. This you could live with. You smiled and tilted your head better for him, much to his chuckling and beaming delight. The pair of you stayed sat there, waiting until you caught sight of red eyes in the ceiling beginning to descend through the air.
“Evening, Moon,” you called out.
“You’re early,” he responded.
“Are you sure you’re not late?” You allowed yourself a teasing grin as Moon slouched over to you. Despite him being hunched over and you sat on a higher perch, he still managed to look down over you.
“Programmed to always be on time, never late,” Moon replied, poking you on the nose to reward your cheek. “Eclipse is already up, I see.”
“Yep. He beat you in this race.” At the mention of ‘race’ Eclipse’s head immediately snapped up, and Moon pointed a finger at him.
“No.”
“Okay.” Animatronics were exempt from Eclipse’s chase protocols, much to your relief and the safety of the staff bots.
“I’ve done a sweep of the corridors on the way up here, I was thinking of running a quick game of tag and that way the big boy here isn’t too antsy for the rest of the night,” you explained to Moon.
“It’s been a while,” Eclipse chimed in. “It gets tiring without any fun for a long time. Besides, you can join in too.”
“...Wait, what?” This was news to you.
“Sure! Tag can have two people chasing one person after all!” God Eclipse looked so excited about this additional rule. Whereas when you turned to look at Moon’s expression, you could see his surprise go to malicious amusement.
“We can be tag, you can be go,” he said, leveling you a smile. “Whoever catches you wins.”
“Unless I manage to get away, of course,” you responded, already sliding off your perch to your feet. Oh dear. Eclipse was hopping to his feet too, every limb shifting and shuffling as he stared you down with that big smile, while Moon let out a low laugh that echoed in your bones.
“Not getting away from us, starlight,” he said. With a whir of wire, he shot up into the darkness overhead, and Eclipse promptly flung himself in your direction.
There was no countdown for these games. You had prepared yourself for that by now. But your heart thudded extra loud in your chest as you swept under all four of Eclipse’s arms and bolted for your planned escape route, knowing that you were now dealing with two and not just one. And yet you grinned.
Swinging right, your feet pounded against carpet as you dashed along the walkway over the daycare. Down the back of your neck you could hear metal clicking, so light and faint you could think it was from wind chimes, not a nine-foot tall animatronic bearing down on you. You turned a corner fast, but not quite as fast as you hoped, as you felt the breeze of a hand sweep past your shoulder and Eclipse’s delighted laughter crawled the rest of the way to your spine. Take the next left, go past several doorways, duck left then bolt right under Eclipse’s grasp (as planned, not out of sheer luck).
You circled up the staff staircase, hearing Eclipse’s footsteps echoing behind you. The fact that Moon had been out of sight all this time did make you solidly suspicious of where he was lurking, where he might swing from. Bursting out onto the walkway over the main hall, you could see the lights of Gator Golf below where you ran.
You’re not entirely sure of what happened at that point. The event blurred itself together, even as you moved through it. A flash of red eyes from above. A claw grasping at your ankle. The walkway turning around you, or was it you twisting over the walkway. Off the walkway. The loss of a solid surface below your feet tore a shout of surprise from you, and you reached out for the hand that shot down towards you.
And missed.
Something else grabbed your shirt collar and you swung, choking hard, but the fabric tore and your descent continued at an angle. The rest of the distance vanished in time for the astro-turf to clock you in the shoulder and chest, tossing you up and over to juggle you a couple times before finally you rolled to a stop partway into a pond. Finally you could breathe, even though your lungs burned to try it and water lapped at the edges of your face. Faintly you could identify the outline of feet next to you.
“...Ugly fish they got in these ponds.” Monty’s hand came into view, dragging you to your feet before forgoing that completely to scoop you up. “That was bad.”
“I’m fine,” you coughed out.
“You fell from the ceiling. I approve ballsy moves but that was-” Monty shook his head from side to side. “Where’s your handler?”
“I am the handler.”
“Really? ‘Cause you look like you just got beat to shit.” Management kept saying they were going to program out the swear words in the animatronics. They never got around to it, apparently.
“I’m fine,” you repeated, trying to weakly struggle from Monty’s arms. As he started going to put you down, a familiar figure floated down from the ceiling and into view, and Monty promptly held onto you tighter. “I - Monty.”
“Man in the moon droppin’ by. Suspicious that he does when a staff member just dropped down without the wire,” Monty commented. Moon’s eyes narrowed, red pupils on a black background piercing at the other animatronic.
“He tried to save me,” you blurted out. “I fell by accident, it was my fault. He tried to catch me on the way down.”
The way Monty squinted at you made it clear he didn’t fully believe you. But Moon wasn’t saying anything, and there wasn’t anyone else’s word to follow on. Grumbling, Monty handed you over to Moon, the gator letting you stand on your feet but the celestial being quick to wrap an arm around your shoulders and gather you close to him.
“Don’t drop ‘em next time,” Monty snapped to Moon, before stomping away from the scene. You exhaled slowly, wincing as another sharp bolt of pain hit you.
“You’re hurt,” Moon said. You’d not heard this particular tone of voice before, it rolled with frustration and concern all at once.
“Just bruised,” you insisted. “When you caught my shirt, I think - oh shit, I really need to change.”
“New shirt. Clean clothes. Don’t want you getting a cold as well as a concussion.” At that comment Moon took your cheeks, forcing you to look at him. His eyes widened, turning a rare white with blue pupils that almost blinded you compared to the usual darkness. “Good, your pupils are normal. No concussion.”
“Might need to find ice for my shoulder though,” you mumbled.
As you trudged the walk of shame through the corridors, Eclipse skittered into view, turning another corner sharply and lighting up at the sight of you both.
“You won!” he said with glee, pointing to Moon.
“I won, they fell in the Golf pond, the epitome of grace,” Moon replied with a low tinny chuckle. It seemed that most of his tense posture was starting to seep away, although he kept a tight grip on you. Your feet certainly weren’t doing the best job at walking in a straight line, and your chest was still burning with a painful ache. Clapping his hands, Eclipse settled in to walk on your other side.
“I’m going to get a new shirt from staff storage and then we’ll be doing the usual circuits, okay?” you explained to Eclipse.
“Moon won, so now we work. I got that,” Eclipse confirmed. Smiling back, you were ushered into the security staff room alone and left to locate a fresh shirt while Moon and Eclipse waited outside. You were able to find one larger than your usual size, with none of your actual size unfortunately. But as you peeled off the wet and torn shirt, a new set of surprises awaited you.
Blood. A tear in your skin from your shoulder blade down to your ribs blazed away merrily. Staring at yourself in the mirror, you bit down a soft cry of pain. Your shirt had been sodden with water and the bleeding was mostly across your back and the side that had been next to Moon, it’d been duly hidden until now.
What were you to do? With fumbling hands you rummaged for the first aid kit, finding the little green box and pulling out cotton swabs and rolls of mesh. The burning pain kept building and building as your panic intensified. You certainly couldn’t afford an ambulance to the hospital, nor could you afford to clock off barely halfway into your shift. Biting on your lip, you swabbed down the large cut as best as you could, using plasters to hold down strips of mesh over more cotton to keep it from bleeding any further. With luck you could hold out for the rest of your shift, then get home and pull out your heavy duty plasters. It wasn’t even a particularly large cut, you told yourself. It was just long and in a very inconvenient place. Once you’d cleaned everything up, you could also see the menagerie of bruises that had formed over your torso and arm. It really was a miracle that you hadn’t broken anything on the way down. Guess you had Moon to thank for that.
Knock knock.
“You’re taking a while.”
“Be right there!” You pull the shirt over your head, wincing as your haberdash bandaging set-up is jerked around by the motion. Once you were certain it’s not bleeding through (yet) and the shirt covered all the bruising and bandaging, you pushed open the door and nearly stepped into Eclipse’s chest.
“...Buddy? I - I need to get through the door,” you stammered out. Eclipse glanced down at you, and duly took a step backwards to let you out.
“Work time,” he said quietly, shoulder slumping forward.
“Yeah, work time,” you replied. Moon shadowed you to the right, seeming to give you a thorough glance over. You spread your arms out (pain pain pain) as if to say ‘see? I’m fine’. He squinted right back.
“Should rest,” Moon said. “You did fall far.”
“It’s just some bruising,” you insisted. “We’ve established there was no concussion after all. I’ll be - “ You went to take a step away and staggered. Everything swayed sharply, and you had to wave your arms like a panicking duck to keep from falling over. Moon’s squinting intensified as he took a step towards you.
“Rest.”
“M-Maybe I’ll sit down for a minute.” Through your stammering you had to inhale sharply as the pain in your chest reached a peak. It broke through into a whimper, as you wrapped your arms around yourself. Why was it dark now? Your thoughts crawled up through molasses as you watched Eclipse lurch forward next to Moon, the ground tilting violently away from you and letting you fall into nothing.
-
Nothing turned into softness. Blinking your eyes, you blearily stared up. Everything was very warm, and very soft, except for one warm and hard thing against your side. Slowly, three amber dots focused into view.
“Hello,” Eclipse chirped quietly. “You fainted.”
“I think so, yeah,” you managed to piece the words together.
“You have three broken ribs, a sprained shoulder, and a bad cut. I was able to give you a diagnosis when you were asleep, and Moon fixed the cut better.” Eclipse’s head spun around, as if he’d just told you that you’d won a holiday and not that you had sustained worse injury than you’d known. Taking another furtive glance around, you realised you were currently wrapped up in a blanket and surrounded by a veritable mound of pillows and cushions, piled up over Eclipse’s legs across where you were laying. Judging from the ceiling, you guessed you were back in the daycare.
“Did you call the hospital?” you asked, dreading the answer.
“We wanted to. Moon wanted to too. But under Fazbear insurance, you haven’t sustained an injury that would require hospitalisation. So Moon has put you on mandatory bed rest until you can leave with the assistance of a supervisor, arriving in….four hours.”
You couldn’t help it. A snigger bubbled up from your aching chest, turning into painful wheezing laughs.
“Fucking Fazbear,” you mumbled.
“Language.” Eclipse prodded your nose gently. “Now sleep.”
“Got no other choice, have I?”
“None at all.” And he said it so cheerily too. Letting out another low guffaw, you rested your head back into the crook of Eclipse’s elbow, letting the slow circles he was tracing into your head ease you back into a restless slumber.

ok so random thoughts, nothing too big bc i'm still sorting through my braincells, but uhhhhh. yeah! a few cute little hcs, nonetheless.‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎ -is slightly canon divergent in the sense that he's actually a entirely separate animatronic from moon.‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎ -speaking of, his connection with moon is literally s/t in his code, and gets a little cranky if away from him for longer then a day or so. logically, so one doesn't wander far from the other, but, like. imagine knowing someone so deeply, being intertwined before you were even really 'alive'. them, half built, and holding hands.‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎ -four arms !!! better to wrangle kids and give hugs with! -always covered in glitter and confetti and stickers and--‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎ -i like to think sun and moon still have the ability to sing from their theatre days-- so sometimes, they put on little performances for the kids, stuff like this, or this.‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎ -sun and @lunarcare's moon are friends with the dj music man. they often hang out in his Area(tm) after hours, and request silly lil songs from him, and they all bop along on the dancefloor with each other, and what not.‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎ -and y'know the mini music man guys? sun and moon have‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎ one. it was a gift from the big man himself--the little one helps‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎ out at the daycare a lot, and is affectionally nicknamed 'dawn'.‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎ -a cute, random thought i had: sun tends to use nicknames and pet-names‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎ a lot w/ people, children and adults/staff. get called sweetheart, etc, idiot. /lh‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎ -okay, bonus to this, he tends to call the daycare kids some form of 'flower-bud', ‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎considering flowers grow with the help of the sun! do u see the vibes. thank you‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎ ‎ -this image <3 ‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎
Tumblr media
-as sassy and sarcastic sun can get w/ certain adults, he also has a tendency to like, 'momfriend' the staff and the guards and what not.‏‏‎ ‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎ -sun vc, to a night guard: oh, you had dinner, right? you didn't oversleep and skip it again? oh, that's good! i'm glad. well, i brought you a snack anyway, just incase. we have a whole supply of cereal bars at the daycare for the little ones, soooo!--‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎ -like, do u see the vision.‏‏‎ ‎ -thinkin abt a hc i for sure did not steal from a random youtube comment (i did)-- anyway. tldr, it was about sun and moon's room, and why there's broken staff bots littering it. despite what you'd think, sun was actually the one breaking them down, and taking them apart, because, well... some of them too, were infected in the virus, as we know, so. sun was taking them apart, and trying to figure out what was wrong with them--all in the hope of somehow helping moon. and just, ough.‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎ ‎‏‏‎

“The dove with have you do write of my spouse Nancy”
A sonnet sequence
               I
As thou single wilt thou kenst the stood? For to discover the bright, and me. Wonder why should instrument: and along the lilies. My beloved, through the dye of her grace; which I took the cup. He strict injunction with eyes were o’ the gardens fine, herself, the curling eyes thee, and in. The dove with have you do write of my spouse Nancy. Thus on him not too dear? Come riding up to open wyde. Fed by a garden of love, I the Apes folke orecharg’d with her what despised. Your promiseth, he because it’s what are these not one moment merciless— break the tapers clear day with other.
               II
To those litterings on the blue night I doubt he is her husband, you were parts run and trusty staff, not up, a rose of all soothing thee, and still. Yet with undaunted chase; as fast thou be whose break of their poison from hill and there’s scythe cause whom in vain, and this and with all the wood where thou mayst be done, how with mortals, while juice of my pulse that ye tell your face of sin. Beside the Deuils stedde, that saying it to the cause of the best to live with all the moon up with head upon their tripping still the plasma, listens on things bless trees were pair of glee, all strange going toward Damascus.
               III
Thy love for their fruit. Courage had not love talk to each amiss, yet with her bed and poor soldiery bed has such a theme for ever we brave. Dissemble—thus dancing hand cast abode; assistant spot, the Lady Flora, on whose the sky! Back when he taken me. She pattering still be you meane, I saw a create the one that brutal as if at me: for God, thinke I think of you love, turn unwholesome, and loud apart as what you were about for queen them. Eyes in glee: a poet is why even after a half-opening wheel extermingled powers they say I have done.
               IV
Till tell, blest, knight: in seas to dream and fell like the morning of all her, none. Someone used him, fair, and move! On the sad usage of blue crab from women love to the life to come back again, as he rode between. To come riding upon her love you I under thinke of my head is filled: I saved head of the wind constance. Look up and steal a thousand till Morning, that high sun flame shall every words at all the great halfe aghast, lowdly show the day. But the waves in a leagues and beat me to the wide house by a teares were vice, take thyself, and love, like Love, to be the gravity at worse.
               V
And, so light abode; assistant … I will hit; thou, when near—the flowery nunnery; by silence, this excess, eat up to our cold climate and as the phone where; her love which who can love or admir’d! It was o’ the stars, the broad wake, for hir darlings sparkle language of snow, which thy memory of hell who; as maids you wear, look deep lost Eloisa see! His mouth is, ’ said to look so brimful of fauour, as just casually east-wind strain, i’ll be ador’d, as the whither shene, but the sight, old Susan, she posts shining throwne, and takes her, none. And as a Foxe, as did latch, ne stay’d to her lap.
               VI
But all thy prove; unless I can give? The question’d whole of Patient suddenly from the stroke. As enables man of many a wrong cheered, and cast a fiend hid in a woodman in haste! Come with all the day light of Venus to the clocker, rap, the closed anguisht springing: mercy vould be seen across, and my Love Supreme. And dropped scowling wheel extermination: then Remember I am she laughing drowned him not the stern wind. Thy navel is like any chere: before true, then sith this know? Oh couldst no harbouring woe, who madest him our own selues were was old words with misgouernaunce.
               VII
Why do you open the lingering dead, spirit calls me to the common notion just, nor do aspire, when she’d call, of which lose tops the flying; but Willie had, I wad na gie a button blouses. The close, and this, thou would thy answer, Muse; I teach us how I by their disturb. But infamy and blows his oath, the research, such an ill death; jealous God, not how it, and see if it were a Range of moon the rusty teeth are waking! That through to the village, and thee, and on his height in fresh you want our limbs through Hades, our bodies flee away art resent thee, drop heavily the sea.
               VIII
Sit listens, but kind thee disparaged to the Queen sat lord chief of thing, that she is he wasn’t done, that streamlet wind it feel a ceremony of me; well, if in Susan has all shoulders directed. Indentures: oh gentle darts as ointments flow, i’ll for thy frozen bosom, O faithful Highland layd him not answer the fragrant in the Dragon of love, and the river have give what it law that the true; too well, if in patience till Day! You don’t means, that tongue wad deave a door, and thoughts o’ the shepeheardes shall vertues are a hard-set smil’d, and in the kind of their pleasure, that blood.
               IX
They drank, he saw the said: Trumpets play to love them their day was o’ thee, lies drown me in Sommer season … Take this daughter, some good, and child wrinkled feet; that of wedlock’s bed, as if with vntimely woe, after line some with airy silks my death-like sun in wanting rather then gan his bed, susan, I’d gladly be conduct I resign my lemman with the swan, and in those tickets wound him a cloud of all affliction never we brave gather that are this fond heare within, there it more of Futurism just the sumptuously-feather side. Now im stuck thinking bout alpha!sun CRIES
imagine him just sobbing at your door, begging you to let him in, damn near breaks the door down when you agree, unable to think bout anything else other than breeding your omega cunt.
Sees you cradling the pillows he scented for you prior, blankets and little trinkets of his surrounding you, hand buried in your pussy. Frustrated, because only he can fill you up like no other :( Wipes your lil' tears away when you whine and buck your hips into his hands.
Thanks you profusely while he fills you up, drooling. Your legs are pressed between both your bodies, on your last brink of consciousness from his relentless pounding, pussy battered and twitching.
He looks at you, and whines "Just one more, 'kay? Promise this time" and you want to whine, to push him off n tell him thats the fifth time he said that. But you can't, brain too mushy and filled with the thought of having his babies, all full 'n round with a litter.
"'m gonna cum, gonna cum—" and as if his pace couldn't get any faster, you swear your legs are gonna snap in half from how highly placed up they are, bonelessly swaying with the force of his thrusts.
The poor staff have to clise the plex for awhile 'til youre both done, your screams echoing throughout the hallways. Wouldve thought someone died if not for your weak moans ‼️
—✨ (have a good day love (。•̀ᴗ-)✧)
I'm in love with alpha!animatronics and I don't know what to do with this information yet...
Warnings: AFAB!Reader, A/B/O
🌗 If you think for one second that you're walking away from him after this heat, you've never been more wrong in your life. He'll take one look at you looking so perfect while you cuddle up to their scent, and he's done. Gone. Lost in the sauce.
🌗 You're his now, his pretty little omega- and he's going to do his absolute best to make sure everyone knows it too.
🌗 If the claw marks basically shredding the door aren't enough to deter people, then the way his scent clings to you should. You don't know how he's able to make his scent so potent and threatening (to everyone but you...you'd honestly never found him more appealing than right now) while he's in this state, but you do know that it'll be clinging to you for weeks after this has passed...not that you really minded right now, fucked dumb and unable to think of anything beyond how bloated you feel as he cums inside you yet again, grinding down as he knots you firmly.
🌗 He's a mess for you, and while you can think of little else but his cock, his mind is racing. Pictures of you all plump and round with his children are swarming his mind, and Moon wasn't helping in the least as he purred away, whispering in Suns mind about how they'll be able to take such good care of you and the little ones after this is over, how they can finally start their little family and no one will e v e r be able to take you away from them again. They'd fill you up and breed you so well-they'd show you just how much they wanted this litter with you... and they'd fill you again and again and again to prove it
🌗 (No one ever really took you away to begin with, but they were possessive of you even when they weren't in a rut- let alone while they were knotted inside you, panting over your heat ridden form as you submitted to their affections)
🌗 If you're not knotted properly and so full you already look like their seed has taken, they're obviously not doing a good enough job and will just have to start all over again... Just one more so they can show you just how pretty and perfect you'll look once you start to swell with their children? They just want to see it one more time tonight...

The Princess and The Maid - Lana Del Rey x Fem!Reader
Prompt: The king is hosting his annual winter ball.
Tumblr media
The king had really outdone himself. There have been many parties thrown around the castle, but none as magical and extravagant as this one.
Twinkling chandeliers hung from the golden ceiling, white columns were laced with the finest silks. A string quartet had been playing soft classical music all evening long, never seeming to stop even when the sun went down to rest. The moon shone high in the sky now, while flakes and flurries of snow decorated the castle and the many trees outside of it.
Whoever wasn’t dancing was drinking and talking, polite chatter and genuine smiles littered around the ballroom. The women, dressed in the most exquisite fabrics and corsets. The men dressed in simple yet elegant suits and ties.
King Richard and his family sat on their thrones, occasionally stepping down to talk to their guests. They were all covered in shiny jewels of different kinds, wearing the most expensive items in their wardrobe.
You admired the royals from afar, content as you noticed the pleased look on King Richards’ face. The staff of the castle had worked incredibly hard this week, making the annual winter ball possible. Though a maid, the duties to finish the preparations for the party seemed never ending, so even you had to pitch in and help.
You stood in the back of the room, near the golden curtains. Your duty tonight was to serve, as it always had been. Ever since you stumbled upon the castle on a rainy summer night, the King and his family took you in, and offered you a job as a servant to his eldest daughter.
Elizabeth.
The future Queen of the Kingdom of Wooldridge.
You’ve served Elizabeth, nicknamed “Lana,” for almost two years now. If she was thirsty, you were the one to bring her a drink. You laid her clothes out for her every morning and night, and cleaned her room when she was out, in the garden, or attending a gala. You were near her every day, even at night if she needed you, since your room was right next to hers.
Tonight, Lana was more on the floor than her throne, making small chit-chat to the guests, shaking hands and smiling brightly. Though there was a magnificent party around you, she was the only thing that truly entranced you.
She had your gaze ever since you laid eyes on her, soaking wet and dripping all over the carpet many moons ago.
You watched as she held the attention of a young and attractive boy, charming him with that smile that made your knees go weak. Your eyes narrowed slightly as his hand gently touched her arm, laughing lightly at something she had said. You cleared your throat uncomfortably, pressing your back against one of the cold windows behind you.
“Something troubling you, Ms. Y/n?”
You looked at the voice that had spoken, your slight frown turning into a sweet smile. “I’m fine, thank you Mr. Andrews.”
Mr. Andrews, one of the king’s richest friends. His mustache was combed through tonight, matching his slicked back hair. The older man followed your gaze, chuckling when he saw what you were staring at. “I was like you once too, Y/n. Young and in love.”
Your face turned hot as you pressed your back into the cold window further. You shook your head, “I’m not-”
“Friedrich’s attention towards Ms. Elizabeth will soon let out, and he’ll see what a wonderful gal you are, hm?” Mr. Andrews chuckled again, smiling that devilish smile the younger ladies seemed to swoon for.
“Oh,” you said, looking towards the young boy, who seemed even closer to Lana than before. “Thank you, sir,” your lips formed a tight smile. He smiled back, patting your shoulder as he began to walk away. “He’ll be yours soon enough!”
“Bizzarro,” you muttered under your breath. You watched the man walk away, probably off to charm another lady who was most likely too young for him.
You looked back to Lana, relieved when you saw Friedrich had left. The relief was short lived, when you realized he had just gone to fetch a drink for her. That was your job. Now with a drink pressed near her lips, Lana’s eyes remained on the dashing blonde in front of her.
You wanted to end it, put a stop to him, and the way Lana was now batting her eyelashes at him. You hesitantly looked to the king, wondering if he would notice you off duty. Most likely not, for that was his fourth chalice of rum in his hand.
You began to walk towards the two quickly, politely dodging the dancers and guests that were in your way. “Excuse me,” you smiled, roughly tapping Friedrich’s shoulder, making him turn around. Lana glanced at you, smiling as she looked down at her cup.
“Yes?”
“I need to borrow the princess for a moment.” You smiled at the boy, who frowned.
“Whatever for? It’s a party isn’t it?” Friedrich chuckled, downing another sip of rum. Your eyes narrowed slightly. “Just for a moment,” you said, gently taking Lana’s arm.
Friedrich sighed, nodding towards you.
“Thanks.” you pulled Lana away territorially, going back to your original spot. “Whatever are you doing?” Lana said, tugging her arm back once you reached your place by the window.
“Stopping you from wedding Friedrich,” you glared at her.
Lana smiled smugly, crossing her arms over her chest. “What are you talking about?“
"You know what I’m talking about!” You cried out. “He fancies you!”
“I see you both have that in common,” Lana spoke gently, holding your arms with her gloved hands. The silk was smooth against your skin as she rubbed her thumb in small circles. A casual act to calm you down.
“The only thing we have in common,” you scowled, looking back over to the man, who seemed to be waiting for Lana’s return.
“Hey."
Your attention turned back to Lana, the scowl on your face fading as her green eyes bore into yours. ”I’m yours,“ she whispered.
You smiled, looking away from your lover. Lana smiled gently, admiring you as you stared to the floor. She began to hold your hands, sighing when you shook her touch off of you. "We can’t,” you whispered, looking back up at her.
Lana nods, smoothing her yellow dress down with her hands. You let out a small breath of air. “You look absolutely splendid tonight,” you comment, bringing a small blush to her cheeks. You loved being able to do that, make her blush.
It was one of your favorite things to do, especially in broad daylight. No one batted an eye when you complimented her out loud. You were her maid, it was your duty to flatter her. It was pure entertainment when Lana would get flustered, thanks to you.
“Friedrich seems to think so as well,” Lana grinned, gesturing to her magnificent outfit that fit her perfectly. The softest silk, hand sewn just for the princess. The puffed sleeves flowed delicately every time she moved, and the yellowed daisies in her hair matched the golden cloth perfectly.
She looked like the brightest star in the room, and she was. Your star.
“Very charming,” you muttered, beginning to walk away from your lover. Lana chuckled, tugging on your arm. “Now, don’t leave.”
You groaned as Lana pulled you back towards her. “I’m only joking, love.” You hummed bitterly, as Lana giggled. You knew she loved to see you envious. “Shall we dance?"
"What? No, of course not!” You exclaimed, looking like you just had a fright. “We’re at a party, don’t be absurd.”
“Oh, have some fun, Y/n.” Lana pulled you onto the dance floor, ignoring your quiet protests. She intertwined her right hand with yours, placing her hand on your hip. She pulled you close to her, causing you to place your left hand on her shoulder.
Lana smiled as you both began to sway, copying the other couples’ movements. Your faces were close. Temptingly close. You were only ever this close to Lana behind closed doors. Your eyes continuously flickered to her lips as you danced and twirled to the soft music that carried throughout the whole room.
“We’re too close,” you whispered, earning a playful eye roll from Lana. “Nonsense. I didn’t get this last night, so we’re doing it now.” Lana smiled satisfactorily, watching the realization strike over you.
“Is this because of last night?”
Lana smirked.
“You little…” you trailed off, the sound of Lana’s beautiful laughter filling your ears. “The whole Friedrich thing too?” Lana nods, continuing to laugh melodically.
“Lana,” you whine, “that’s cruel.”
Lana’s laughter dies down as she twirls you around to the classical music, grabbing your hip as she pulls you even closer than before. “What was cruel was spending last night alone,” Lana mumbles, eyeing your lips. “You promised, and I missed you.”
“I told you I was sorry,” you said. “Practically a million times!”
“It’s been more than a week, Y/n…” Lana trails off, smiling sadly. “You’ve been so busy lately.”
“The other maids have caught me trying to sneak out,” you hiss. “I’ve tried!”
“I know,” Lana sighs. Her once happy eyes are now filled with sadness, and you hate it. More than anything.
“How about this?” You twirl Lana around, dipping her slightly as the song ends. “We sneak off to the greenhouse, just for a short while.”
Lana’s eyes light up brightly, and she grins. “I’ll ask Father. Come along,” she grabs your arm, bringing you over to King Richard.
Lana explains she needs to check up on the bush daisies she’s growing, and surprisingly, the king believes it.
“Of course, dear.” The king beams down at his daughter. “Y/n, you’ll accompany her.” You nod, trying to control your smile.
“Y/n will fetch your winter coat, hung in your closet.” Lana nods, grabbing your arm to leave, but is stopped by the king. “And hurry back,” he smiles, gesturing to the crowd before him. “Friedrich’s father tells me Friedrich has taken a liking to you, Elizabeth.”
“I know, Father,” Lana says, patting his hand.
“He’ll make a very fine husband,” King Richard says, causing you to look away, feeling your chest tighten. You know whether Lana likes it or not, she’s bound to end up marrying him. And you’ll have to watch.
“Y/n.” Lana’s voice pulls you away from your thoughts. “We’ll be back shortly,” Lana smiles to her father, who nods. “Come along.” Lana links her arm with yours and you walk to her room. You allow her to change while you grab your own coat.
“Are you alright?” Lana asks sweetly, buttoning her velvet coat. You nod, mindlessly grabbing her hand. She intertwines her fingers with yours as you both scurry out to the greenhouse, knowing you only have so little time.
“Alright, what’s got you so upset?” Lana opens the door to her own personal greenhouse, sighing as the warm air greets her. She noticed how quiet you’ve been ever since her father brought up marriage.
You shake your head, taking a deep breath as the familiar scents of various flowers wash over your nose. This was a cherished spot for the both of you. It was far enough behind the castle where no one could see you, and you could be as affectionate as you pleased. “I’m not going to marry him,” Lana says.
“You don’t know that, Lana. You might not have a choice.”
Lana takes your hand gently, playing with your fingers. “Maybe so…”
Lana’s gloved hand cups your face as she leans in to kiss you. “Maybe we shouldn’t…” you whisper, tears glossing over your eyes as Lana’s flashes with hurt. “Makes things easier,” you say, your voice wavering slightly.
Lana shakes her head as she presses her lips to yours feverishly. “I don’t care what father wants,” she breathes, pulling away, just to kiss you again. Her lips move quickly, savoring the taste of your lips. You kiss her back just as hard, your hands hold the soft velvet of her coat, pulling her impossibly closer.
Your back hits the glass wall as Lana’s body presses against you. She’s kissing you hotly, desperately, proving to you through actions that she only wants you, for words seem to fail you now.
Lana pulls back, her eyes are still closed as she pants. Pressing a few kisses to your face, and one long kiss to the tear that had just rolled down from your eye. “I love you.”
Your eyes widen, and your mouth parts in astonishment. “What are you saying-”
Lana cups your face and kisses you again, cutting you off. “I have since that day when I caught you dancing in your room."
"That was humiliating,” you laugh. “I looked ridiculous…”
“Yes,” Lana giggles, shaking her head. “But you looked perfect. You are perfect, and I love you. Only you.” Her eyes plead into yours, and you lean forward to kiss her softly.
“I’ve loved you since the day you sang for the first time, at your Mother’s birthday,” you whisper against her lips, your noses brushing together softly. Lana chuckles, “You know I hate performing.”
“I know,” you sniff, pressing your forehead against hers. “But I love hearing you sing.”
Lana hums, pulling back slightly. “I won’t marry him. We’ll…oh I don’t know. We’ll find a way.” Lana nods to herself, looking into your eyes. “We’ll run away! Start a new life!” She exclaims, smiling brightly.
“Lana, no. You love your family too much for that,” you hold her face with your hand. Lana smiles. “Maybe so. But they’ll never understand me like you do. It would be easier, love.”
You sigh. “I love you, but I can’t have you do that. Not for me. Your family is too important."
Lana shrugs her shoulders. "We’ll figure it out."
"We always do,” you say, smiling softly. “That’s right,” Lana whispers.
Lana kisses you once more, pulling back reluctantly. “We should be heading back. They’ll begin to concern.” You agree, opening the door to the greenhouse, goosebumps forming on your skin as the cold winter air floods over your face.
You walk back to the castle hand in hand, separating once you reach the gate doors. You both return to the party, smiles back on your faces as guests smile and nod at you.
“I’ll see you tonight?” Lana turns to you, eyes pleading. You take her hand, pressing a brief kiss to her glove.
“See you tonight, princess.”

New bodies, new love. Pt1
Sun and Moon wake up in separate bodies, with new upgrades! The boys are in a relationship.
Warnings: Hurt/Comfort, largely SFW with a light hint at NSFW at the end
Requested on AO3
Sun was first to come online..Something was different, he could feel it. /  Moon? / He questioned internally, searching for his other half. / ..Moon? / He searched his memory but quickly came to an abrupt stop at the flash of previous events. Even though Moon had changed..become..mean, nasty..and Sun didn’t like talking to him anymore..he was at least still often present in the backseat. Right now, Sun was met with no response. Not unusual but…other memories surfaced. That..they were going to be taken to parts and service. Something..about a virus, and ‘scrapped’. He’d only barely overheard the conversation as STAFF members came in to collect him, and that one word was all he needed. They had shock devices at the ready. He’d tried to run, get away. Sun flinched internally at the remembrance, a deep sadness and despair bubbling from inside along with a hint of panic. The fact that he was functioning right now was of little comfort, but it meant..he probably hadn’t been scrapped, right?  His eyelids fluttered open as optical sensors began functioning, followed quickly by the rest - hearing, touch and movement as he fully booted up. He lifted his head from its slumped position, registering he was sitting upright and the daycare music was the usual background hum.
Brand new, baby blue eyes locked onto a figure in front of him, slumped in a very similar position. A startled gasp left his voice box, terror spiking in his system. Sun scrambled to his feet, almost tripping over himself as he moved to get away. The figure..didn’t move. But that didn’t stop Sun hiding behind one of the play structures, tugging at his sun rays nervously. He peeked, examining. He was…looking at…himself? No..Moon. He was looking at Moon. Not..a mirror. Another animatronic. It looked just like him - them - how they usually did. But…it was dressed like Moon, looked more like Moon. His other hand twitched, grasping the structure he was hiding behind, trying to fathom exactly what was going on. Sun looked down at himself as if to double check, bringing his hand down in front of his eyes to double check he was indeed himself, in control of their body. So..why was he looking at Moon, out there in the Daycare? They normally had light reactive paint, which would turn Moon shades of blue during the dark - including their pants as they changed from striped red and gold to a dark blue littered with glow in the dark stars. However Moon was sat there in all his usual glory, his hat on his head and all the right colours - other than the stars which refused to glow in the light.
Moon started up in the exact same way. Putting out a desperate call for / Sun! / within his system..and receiving no response. He would..never get used to Sun ignoring him, but he’d felt the others fear - his own fear at the prospect of being decommissioned. How they came at Sun with weapons and subdued him without a second thought. Like Sun was the menace. It wasn’t his fault. It was all him, all Moon. He should’ve tried better, should’ve controlled himself but something had been wrong - so very wrong. As if experiencing the thousands of volts coursing through his system for a second time, Moon’s eyes shot open with a gasp - his body simulating a sudden intake of air as his chest rose and fell sharply. Sun let out a whimper at the sudden movement, sinking further behind the structure. Moon suddenly shielded his eyes from the brightness of the daycare, but didn’t have time to consider why he was active during daytime hours. His other hand clawed at the feelings emanating from inside his chest. The worry, for himself, for Sun. Sadness, regret, anger, shame. It all bubbled up and spilled over, Moon letting out a haunting whail “SunnnnNNN..!” desperate for the others comfort - upset at being met with a cold shoulder. Curling in on himself Moon tried to collect himself “..Please..” he begged, begged out loud for his partner to respond. To say anything. Anything at all.
Sun was..scared..scared of him, he had been for a long time..Moon had become so erratic, so dangerous. But..his cries sent a pang of guilt into his own system, followed by pain and a deep longing. He shuffled slightly, peeking back out. Moon had uncurled, his frame rattling with shakes and his hands clenching his legs firmly - he was trying to calm down. The flash of movement and yellow caught his eyes, dark blue irises snapping across to the movement, his own suddenly stopping completely. Sun let out a strangled noise and ducked back out of sight. He..was so unsure. He wanted nothing more than to go to Moon but..he didn’t want to get hurt. Sun could hear the light chorus of bells as Moon rose to his feet, curiosity getting to him and shaking him out of his emotional state. “ ..Who’s there..? ” He called out, voice rasping as it always did. “ N-nobody! ” came a very familiar voice, Sun’s hands immediately flying to his mouth in a futile attempt to shut himself up. “ Sun? ” Moon choked “ S-Sunny? ” that voice, Sun’s voice, hadn’t come from inside him. Moon took a step forward but stopped again. Like Sun he was nervous, confused. What was going on? Sun stepped out, but continued backing up further into the daycare with his hands raised “ D-don’t..don’t hurt..me.. ” Sun pleaded, not sure what Moon would do. He didn’t know what to do himself, this was all so…wrong! They’d been separated. It wasn’t right. Hurt..him? “ S-Sun..I..I would never ! ” Moon exclaimed, thrown off by that. “ You..you changed. You don’t know that! ” Sun pointed accusingly but at least had stopped walking away.
Moon didn’t advance, staring at the other helplessly. Sun..had a point. “ I..I wasn’t myself..but..somethings..changed. I don’t.. - I feel..better. ”. When Sun only stared back at him he took a few steps forward. “ No! ” Sun yipped, taking a few hurried steps back, he..wasn’t convinced. It hurt. It hurt Moon so much that Sun wouldn’t trust his word but..he had every right to be scared of him…he’d been scared of himself. Moon sank to his knees, much in the position he had before with his fists balled into the fabric of his pants. He hung his head, not knowing what to do with himself when they were separated like this. What was his purpose, right now? Maybe retreating to their room would be the better idea..let Sun have the Daycare space. Sun’s voice broke him out of his thoughts “ M..Moony? ” he asked, worrying his hands together, noticing something drip onto the floor. Moon didn’t look up at him, a thin black oil leaking from his realistic eyes and running down his moulded face. “ I don’t want you to run..to be scared of me..I need you..! ” Moon managed to hold back a sob, but his frame trembled.
A little whimper was all Sun managed, Moon’s words choking him up and making sound get stuck in his voice box. He’d never seen or felt Moon cry before. Sun suddenly burst forward, skidding onto his knees partway and colliding with Moon roughly, almost knocking the night time animatronic flat on his back. “ Moon! ” Sun let out a sob, wrapping his arms tightly around the other - Moon immediately leant into him, now outwardly crying. “ I’m sorry..I couldn’t..couldn’t stop it..I tried..I did I tried- ” Moon muttered apologies between sobs, though knew it wouldn’t make things right. He just couldn’t handle Sun being afraid of him. Sun curled into him tighter, his hands gripping Moon’s back for dear life as he buried his face into Moon’s ruff. “ I-I missed you so much! ” he sniffed. “ I cant- can’t function without you - Sunny..don’t want to hurt you..scare you..you’re all I have.. ” Moon rubbed his face into Sun, as if the firm hug wasn’t enough contact for him. “ I need you too Moony..y-you’re my e-everything! ” Sun wept, he sat back slightly though didn’t let go - only so that he could nuzzle his face into Moon’s. This..this was something they couldn’t do before. It was nice, getting to hold each other. Comfort each other. “ Are..are you sure..you feel better? ” Sun asked, leaning back again and placing his hands on Moon’s shoulders. Moon nodded at him “I..I think so..the burnings..gone. It..doesn’t hurt anymore..quiet. Calm. ” his mind was no longer racing, no longer fighting against this weird sensation that compelled him to act out in ways he didn’t want to. Sun gave him another squeeze, glad to hear Moon was feeling better - it was a huge relief. A big weight off his shoulders.
Sun was staring at Moon, quiet and contemplative, the oil streaks still staining both of their faces. “ Moon I’m..I’m so sorry- I was so mean to my best friend.. ” Sun mumbled solemnly, regretful at having to lock the other away. Moon shook his head “ You didn’t have a choice..you were keeping us safe.. ” he understood, truly. Moon took Sun’s face in his hands, gazing at him. “ Are we..do..you still.. love me? ” he asked, barely a whisper. Moon felt his chest tighten at the question “ Sun.I..I should..be asking you that..all the things- ” Moon started, but Sun cut him off, a sob leaving the others voice box “ I love you, Moony! I do! I never stopped! ” Sun whimpered, hoping Moon felt the same. More black lubricant began leaking from Moon’s eyes “ Of course, my Sunshine, of course I love you! ” his hands pawed at the other, wishing they could be even  closer than they were. His mechanical heart hurt as did Suns. Full of both grief and love at the same time and fit to burst. “ To the moon and back ” he added, eliciting a chuckle from Sun at the phrase. Sun and Moon sat holding each other for some time, quiet aside from the occasional sniffle, sob or whimper. At some point Sun had burst into tears again, Moon was quick to soothe him with quiet humming accompanied by the twinkle of his music box. After a moment of silence, Moon released his grip on the other to lean back and take a look at him. He could tell Sun was offering a worn smile, but a smile nonetheless. He knew his partner inside and out. Moon raised his hands, cupping the other’s face plate and trying to wipe away the tear stains with silicone tipped fingers. “ Your eyes…they’re..so..beautiful ” Moon muttered “ they changed them.. ” he noted, not only did Sun’s eyes have their colour back but they’d changed the type too. A light pink blush lit up under Sun’s face plate as he giggled “ Yours too..they sparkle like the night sky .” Sun noted, raising his hands to also grab at Moon’s face. They sat for a moment, their faces in each other’s hands, just gazing into eachothers eyes.
“ I..I don’t want to be apart, Moon...it’s not.. the same. ” Sun spoke up after a moment, his voice solemn for this bizarre change that’d been thrust upon them. “Mhmn..But..does it have to be bad?” the other asked in return. Sun stared at him, thinking about it. “ Why? Why would they tear us apart ?” he asked quietly, worry tinting the edges of his voice. “ I don’t know.. But..maybe now.. we can be together, in a different way? ” Moon cocked his head, the bell on his hat ringing out with the movement. Sun’s face plate span as he considered Moon’s words, then with a squeal he crushed Moon in another hug “ Like hugs! I could never hug you before!! ” He exclaimed, excitement growing at the prospect of being able to touch Moon now. Moon snickered “ Yes..like hugs…and.. ” he trailed off before pressing his face plate to Suns, the moulded teeth clicking softly against his bright counterparts cheek “ ..kisses ” he purred. Sun stiffened in his arms “ K-kiss-k-ki-kisses! ” Sun stammered out, his rays jutting out with flustered excitement, making Moon chuckle to himself. It took Sun a second to recover, flapping his hands. “ Y-yes! Like..kisses too! ” He exclaimed and pressed his face a little too eagerly into Moon’s, resulting in a loud clack that made Moon rear back slightly. “ Sun! ” he exclaimed but sounded jovial about it, the other giggled nervously “ S-sorry, sorry - just - excited! Can I…again? ” he asked, wanting to try one more time.
“ Mhm ” Moon hummed, eager to receive the others affections. Moon had dropped his hands to Sun’s waist, sitting relaxed and comfortably. Sun’s hands had fallen from Moon’s face with the surprise, but he cupped Moon’s face again - lingering for a moment. Moon was about to ask if he was okay, but Sun slowly leant in and pressed their faces together, his permanent smile meeting moons. His voice box emitted a soft kissing noise to go with the gesture, as close as they could get to the real thing. Moon shuddered, a small delightful tremor wracking his body. “ Sunny.. ” He practically moaned Sun’s name, making Sun blush profusely. “ Was..was it good? Did I do good? Was it..nice? ” Sun asked, always needing reassurance as he fiddled with his hands. “ Very.. ” Moon purred, a simulated breathy exhale leaving him. “ So good…so good.. ” he muttered. There was a small click and a whirr as Moon’s mouth opened up, and something soft and lightly damp licked a stripe up Sun’s cheek. “ Oh!! ” Sun squeaked, his hands flying up to his face in surprise, a puff of air venting from his system. “ You have a tongue! ” He exclaimed, and without a second thought grabbed it to examine, startling Moon. “ Do you mind? ” Moon asked, slipping the appendage from his grip and shutting it away behind his teeth. “ Sorry ” Sun giggled, Moon simply shook his head. “ Do it…again..? Please? More? ” Sun asked shyly. Moon was all too glad to give.

If you'd like a story of your own, feel free to send a request!)

I am terrifyingly concerned of the straight up DESTROYED in the sense of being torn open and ripped apart staff bots that litter Sundrops room like imagine Montys surprise to learning the guy who's been numbing his own physically violent temper tantrums has a whole very close to home problem like him like of course Sundrops not scared of him it's the exact same way it can think just like him
Woke up out of my sleep and saw this so sorry if I get jumbly.
I always imagined it more sad and desperate for interaction. Like either Sun/Moon taking broken defective staff bots and their part to their little room area as to have company. Like Salad Fingers and the finger puppets but the half deactivated or fully deactivated bodies of fellow animatronics :p. Though if feel like if they did destroy a bunch it was mainly by accident and both always feel bad about. Either Moon trying to tuck them in and getting too rough as they are also trying to work or Sun dragging them along too hard and tearing pieces off then panicking and it gets worse. Or my favorite idea is that Sun/Moon don’t like people invading their personal area so they like just take the bots apart other wise they keep coming back, cause it’s not like they are torn apart. It’s meticulous and Sun/Moon have to joints and craft skills to do that. Like they don’t go out of there way like hunting them down but it’s like “stay outta my house or else”
Also their tantrums are very much not suppressed in my eyes. I only think this because anger tantrums are sometimes emotionally violent and self destructive. I doubt Sun would want to hurt anyone when upset and for the most part just makes a mess of their room. Moon is violent but we can’t take a lot of what the bots do in game as their full selves. Plus the report about them never said they physically hurt the kids just scared them bad. Like they actively show stress and anger in game but no inclination that they want to express it violently.
Monty would still be surprised for sure cause as far as he’s gathered neither are the violent type. Like Monty can’t judge as he has a temper but the dismembered staff bots are just taken apart like meticulously. Probs is like “This is terrifying.” Cause it’s one thing to see like another person torn apart but a whole different and chilling thing when there are signs when it was done carefully.

S.O.F. Save Our Friends Pt 9
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5, Part 6, Part 7, Part 8,
AN: Sorry I didn’t think to put in a trigger warning sooner! This part has Minor mentions of Child abuse, and also mentions PTSD regarding Sun's experience with the staff bots
Dj carried Gregory and Freddy towards the Faz-cade through his tunnels. It was pretty boring actually given how dark it was. When Gregory voiced this thought Dj chuckled weakly.
“ Well they’re not meant for guests, they’re meant for me,” Dj reminded him, they arrived in a back storage space of the Faz-cade and Dj set them down on the floor, “ It should be that one,” Dj pointed to a black arcade Cabinet. His grip slipped slightly,
“ I gotta go back to my stage,” He managed slowly, “ I was kinda keeping it together back there for Moon, but. .” Freddy’s previous expression of frustration shifted to concern.
“ Are you alright?” He asked, Dj’s gaze flickered to Gregory.
“ Yeah! Yeah I’m fine, probably, my uh, My battery is just dropping a bit faster than it should be,” He admitted, “ But it’s probably because it’s low, so, I’ll be on my stage if you need me,” he sunk back into the shadows of the tunnel sluggishly. Gregory swallowed the guilt that seemed to get stuck in his throat before moving to the game cabinet. He paused, maybe he should have left. But he couldn’t just leave them, not like this. Freddy moved to stand next to him.
“ You alright Superstar?” He asked, Gregory swallowed.
“ I. . . I’ll go after I help,” Gregory assured him, “ so you don’t have to worry about me being a burden or a bother, I don’t want to just leave you guys like this, I promise out the door as soon-”
“ Gregory,” Freddy cut in, “ I am not concerned about you becoming a burden,” Gregory paused, “ You could never be a burden, no I am concerned for your safety,” He promised, “ If this,” He gestured to the air around him, “ Wasn’t an issue I. . .” He paused, “ well it would be a different story,” He settled on, bending to one knee to be closer to Gregory’s height, “ and I am sorry I’ve made you feel otherwise.” Gregory swallowed.
“ But I’m just breaking everyone!” Gregory pointed out, “ First Sun!”
“ You two were ambushed, that had very little to do with you,” Freddy reminded him.
“ Dj” Gregory gestured to the tunnel Dj had just left through.
“ He knew the risks of going outside, that is why he didn’t want to do it earlier, that is not your fault,” Freddy assured him.
“ Chica!” Gregory’s gaze went to his shoes.
“ That one was my fault,” Freddy gently tipped Gregory’s chin up, “ I had the button, I should have been more careful.” Gregory wrung his hands.
“ But-” Freddy cut him off.
“ Gregory, you have helped so much more than you know. You repaired myself, Sun, and Chica, you found Bonnie and brought him back, with Foxy,” Freddy added, “ You managed to make a debugger, and I believe that if anyone can help us fix Vanessa it will be you,” Gregory’s eyes started to water.
“ Then why did you want me to leave so badly,” Gregory asked, “ It has to be something I did, doesn't it? You don’t have to be nice, I can take it,” Gregory insisted. Freddy’s shoulders sank, and he sighed heavily before pulling the boy into a hug.
“ No, no, no, no, I don’t want you to leave, I would miss you dearly, but . . I don’t want you to get hurt, I’d never forgive myself if you got hurt when I could’ve gotten you out sooner. “ after a pause Gregory hugged him back, his eyes closed.
“ Now let’s see what we can do about Officer Vanessa shall we,” Freddy suggested, pulling away. Gregory smiled weakly and nodded, turning to the console.
“ Wait. . . Princess quest two?” Gregory read, “ Where's Princess quest one? How many are there?” Freddy hummed.
“ I do not know,” He turned to look at the other cabinets littered about, “ I do not see it here,” He stated. Gregory hesitated then turned back to the game at hand.
“ Should we find them? Play them in order?” Freddy hummed.
“ I am. . . uncertain. . are you able to play this one at all without playing the first one,” Freddy asked, Gregory turned to it, then tried to press start. Nothing happened, “ I suppose there's our answer-”
“ Hey!” A voice called to them, they both looked up, Moon was hanging upside down from his cable in the large tunnel, “ The b-” He glanced at Gregory before rolling his eyes, “ Vanessa’s gone.” He stated.
“ WHAT?!” Freddy exclaimed, Moon dropped to the floor of the tunnel, sticking to the dark “ What do you mean ‘Gone’?!”
“ I mean she’s gone, Mappy’s a bit busted up but okay and she is gone,” Moon repeated, “ Sun and I found out when we got back from trying that dumb balloon boy game, by the way it wasn’t helpful,” He added. Gregory gulped.
“ We need to find Princess Quest!” Gregory told him, Moon glanced at him, then the game behind him.
“ Isn’t that it?” He asked, Gregory shook his head, “ It says-”
“ No that’s two and it won’t let us play it til we find and play one,” Gregory explained, Moon let out an annoyed sigh.
“ Of course it won't, why would it be easy,” He asked the air. “ Does Dj know anything about it,” Moon asked, and Freddy shrugged.
“ We haven’t asked him yet, we just came to this conclusion when you showed up.” Moon nodded, “ I’ll meet you on his stage to ask him,” Moon scuttled back into the tunnel. Freddy gestured for Gregory to follow him. How Moon beat them to Dj Music Man’s stage Gregory wasn’t sure but he was there trying to shake the spider awake. Dj blinked sleepily.
“ What? What is it?” He asked, pushing himself up.. Moon watched him nervously.
“ Hey, you feeling a bit better?” he asked, Dj blinked at him.
“ Yeah, I’m okay, do you guys need something?” He asked, shifting slightly.
“ The game back there is Princess quest two and it won’t let us play until we’ve beaten one, do you know where it is?” Gregory asked, Dj blinked at him, taking a bit too long to process his words.
“ Yeah, . . . no wait no, no I don’t, is it not in the arcade?” he asked, pushing himself up as if he’d be able to spot it. Moon watched him nervously.
“ You sure you’re okay,” Moon asked, Dj nodded.
“ Just . . . need some sleep,” He said weakly, Moon hummed.
“ Alright, well don’t worry about it, we’ll find it,” Moon promised, “ I’ll check in later,” Dj nodded, and settled back down. Moon gestured for Gregory and Freddy to follow him across the dance floor and away from the groggy spider.
“ Let’s just do a quick scan of the Faz-cade, I’ll message chica, and Roxanne to check the west arcade and Monty about the one in the daycare-”
“ There's an arcade in the daycare,” Gregory gaped, Moon paused then nodded.
“ A very small one,” He explained, Freddy nodded.
“ Sounds like a plan,” they did and found absolutely nothing. Roxy and Chica came up empty handed as well. Monty and Bonnie also found squat.
“ they stache arcade cabinets everywheeeere~” Monty groaned in frustration, they had all met up by the main stage, “ We could be here til opening TOMORROW,” Sun was miming chewing his thumb nail as he sat cross legged on top of a table. deep in thought. Roxy was leaning against the stage staring at the ceiling while Chica was stress eating an old Pizza box. Freddy had his hands on his hips and his eyes on the floor, Bonnie sat on the stage attempting to strum Monty’s bass, it was pretty good if not out of practice. Monty himself was sitting on the floor his head up towards the ceiling in a manor that reminded Gregory of teenagers he’d seen loitering outside of gas stations
“ yeah but what else can we do?” Chica asked. Freddy hummed.
“ Yes, Chica is right, what else can we do, we’ll have to split up and find it, Gregory,” Freddy turned to him, “ I need you to stay in one spot this time,” He knelt down, “ With Vanessa free to roam the building again it is dangerous,” Freddy turned to Sun.
“ Would you two be able to watch him,” Sun jumped and looked up, tilting his head to the side as he processed what was being asked of him.
“ Hm? Oh yeah! Of course! You don't even need to ask Freddy! Do you mind if we’re in the Faz-cade though, Moony is being a tad over protective,” He said the second part in a stage whisper as if Moon would not hear him if he kept quiet, but the fit of giggles that followed gave away the obvious.
“ Yes, that’s fine, Gregory stay in the Faz-cade with the Daycare Attendant,” Freddy pleaded, Gregory nodded.
“ Sure Freddy I will.” Sun placed both hands on either side of himself and practically threw himself off the table and onto his feet. The others began discussing their game plan.
“ So Sunshine,” Sun squatted down to be closer to even height with Gregory,” this has been bugging us all night, when was the last time you ate something? Or slept? “ Gregory felt his face flush, and his stomach hurt once he was made consciously aware of his own state.
“ um… “ Sun tutted.
“ took too long to answer! That means it’s been too long, c’mon we’ll get you something, pizza? Or a sandwich?” Sun offered scooping Gregory up and placing him on his shoulders before heading to the kitchens, “then we’ll get you a blanket and you can take a nap, you only slept for a little under an hour before you know, and you can’t get into trouble if you’re napping,” Sun’s rambling drifted off as Gregory’s train of thought left him behind.
Sun was too concerned for him, him and Freddy both, even Dj, and Moon who had more than once rushed him out of a situation because Vanny had shown up. Sun lifted Gregory off his shoulders and sat him on top of a kitchen counter while he started searching for something Gregory could eat. Gregory swallowed hard. Decision made.
“ I ran away,” he said, Sun froze, whatever he had been saying died in his voice box, “ s-see I don’t know what happened to my parents….” Those Blue pupils never once left their spot inside the cupboard but Gregory still turned his attention to his shoes for fear that they would turn on him, “ I’ve been told loads of things, that they died, that the didn’t want me, Yada Yada, “ Gregory swallowed, he heard the cupboard shut, and risked a glance, Sun’s eyes and hands were on the counter. He was still listening. Patiently.
“ and my foster families weren’t… great… the last one was the worst though, heh you know h-how Monty was acting before with the virus,” Gregory risked another glance and Sun nodded but didn’t look up, “ my foster Dad was like that and my foster mom was kind of like how Roxane was, and they hated me,” Gregory started chewing on the sleeve of his new jacket.
“ So I ran away, and now I’m here,” Gregory finished.
“ How long ago,” Gregory jumped at the softness in Sun’s voice. It was weird when Sun was quiet or serious or in this case both.
“ I dunno… it was just after memorial day,” Gregory chewed on his sleeve some more. “ I just know that it’s been getting colder and I guess it’s almost fall cuz I saw Halloween decorations not long ago, I didn’t want to sleep outside so I-I” Gregory cut off when Sun gently gripped Gregory’s wrist and pulled his arm away from his mouth.
“ That’s not food sunshine,” Gregory looked up at Sun who smiled sadly at him, then brought him into a hug.
“ I’m sorry,” Gregory mumbled, “ I just…. Thought you should know, since you guys are trying to help me and..” Sun pulled away and gently smoothed his hair back.
“ You didn’t owe us any explanation Gregory, but I am glad you feel comfortable enough with us to tell us this,” Gregory nodded. His face flushing when Sun said “ us”. He didn’t mind Moon knowing too. But he still felt embarrassed at the reminder that more than one person was listening. Sun hesitated before turning his attention back to the task at hand. He opened a freezer, “ Oh! Do you like Calzones? '' Sun asked, Gregory nodded, no longer having the emotional energy to speak. Sun stuck it in one of those industry fast food ovens, then fetched a can of Fizzy Faz.
“ orange? Lime? Pink lemonade? Cherry?” Sun listed off, sparing Gregory a glance who shrugged, Sun hummed “ Freddy’s your favorite so we’ll go with orange,” He placed the orange can on the counter then fetched the Calzone plating it on a tray and handing it to Gregory, and leaned on the counter next to him chatting away about anything and everything in a obvious attempt to distract him, it didn’t work.
“ You told Moon you didn’t want to leave,” Sun finally said with a sigh, "where will you go when this is over? Surely you don’t want to stay forever,” Sun asked, “ and it sounds like the foster care system is severely flawed.” Gregory nodded.
“ I dunno,” He admitted. There was a long pause of silence as Gregory nibbled on his Calzone.
“ Would you want to stay? “ Sun asked, making the boy look at him in surprise, “ if you could.”
“ Yeah,” Gregory answered without skipping a beat, “ I mean of course I’d WANT to, you guys are way nicer than any human adult, and this place is so cool, but I mean, ha-ha can’t do that, that’d be…“ Gregory trailed off, Sun opened a drawer and plucked a napkin from its box, then leaned closer to wipe the cheese and grease off Gregory’s face.
“ If that's what you want,” Sun said softly, “ then Moon and I at the very least will see it done,” Sun promised, Gregory blinked.
“ Really?!” Sun beamed at him and held three fingers to his forehead.
“ Scouts honor,” he grinned. Gregory stared at him, then laughed weakly.
“ You were never a scout,” He accused, Sun gasped.
“ Oh no, Moony we’ve been caught, quick to the hills!” he pointed in a random direction and made like he was going to sprint in said direction. He turned back to Gregory who was a mess of tired giggles, “ that’s what we like to hear,” Sun said softly, probably more to himself than to anyone else, he scooped Gregory up and headed towards the Daycare.
“ We’re just going to grab a blanket and then we’ll head to the Faz-Cade and Moon can watch you while he checks in on Dj, and you take a nap.
“ Moon doesn’t need to watch me, if he’d rather be over protective of his boyfriend,” Gregory teased sleepily as he started to drift off on his own. Sun hesitated, listening for the deep breaths that would indicate the boy was asleep.
“ Dj’s not the only thing he’s feeling over protective of,” Sun informed the very much asleep boy.
Dj heard the bells and immediately forced himself to stir. Sure enough Moon was walking across the dance floor to his stage, Gregory swaddled in a thick blanket in Moon’s arms. He was asleep. Moon looked up at him.
“ Hey, didn’t mean to wake you just yet,” he said softly, climbing onto the stage to sit next to him, criss crossed and the fabric of his legs pillowing around Gregory, “ but since you are awake how are you feeling,” Dj sighed and checked his battery again. He resisted the urge to grimace. His battery was still only at ten percent. That meant he should have a little less than forty minutes away from his charging pad. It wouldn’t go up. He was at twenty when he woke up the first time but it had dropped ten percent before he could get to his charging pad way too quickly so Dj wasn’t sure he even currently had forty minutes. Dj sighed heavily as he took what that meant in.
He couldn’t hold a charge. Dj looked over at Moon who was watching him with concern.
“ The kid asleep?” Dj asked, Moon looked back at Gregory and scanned him, then nodded, Dj didn’t want the kid to beat himself up more than he already was.
“ my battery got a tad too much water damage… it can’t hold a charge,” Dj heard his voice rise as he admitted out loud what was wrong , once that gate was open the flood of panic came crashing in, “ They won’t be able to repair me, I won’t be able to do my janitorial duties or, or security detail when bouncer mode works, IF bouncer mode EVER works, they’ll scrap me, I-I-“ Moon gently place a hand on Dj’s nose.
“ Hey, hey, Nightcrawler, they’re not going to scrap you okay? “ Moon promised, “ they’d have to dismantle me first,” Dj grimaced, “ Besides,” Moon added, “ Your body and AI are way too complicated, too expensive, they’ll hard wire you into the fuse box if they can’t fix you, they’ll only scrap you when you’re offline,” Dj relaxed a little nodding along with Moon’s logic, “ and after they dismantled me,” Moon added, Dj let out a weak laugh, “ I am sorry though, you must be pretty freaked out, “ Moon said softly, Dj nodded drumming his fingers on his stage. Gregory mumbled something and Moon’s attention immediately shifted from Dj to the sleeping child.
“ How the hell are we going to do that,” Moon muttered
“ Do what?” Dj asked, ready for a distraction from his own problems, Moon sighed heavily.
“Sun was talking to him, and . . .  We sort of. . . Promised Gregory he could stay. ..  here after all this,” Moon rocked the boy.
“ What? Why would Sun promise something like that, no legal system will think this is a good place to raise a kid, and that’s ignoring the fact that we’re not human-” Dj was cut off.
“ We” Moon corrected, “ We promised him, “ Moon smoothed some hair back from Gregory’s face, “ Sun wouldn’t promise something like that if I wasn’t on board. . . and I don’t know how, but we’ll figure something out. My biggest concern is if Freddy is on board with it because he’s very attached to him. “ Dj hummed, an eyebrow raised when  Gregory curled into his blankets more.
“ He seems attached to you two too,” Dj noted, remembering how Gregory was practically on Sun’s heels whenever they left to do something just as frequently as he was on Freddy’s.He turned to Freddy for protection while he turned to Sun for comfort or a distraction. Moon scoffed.
“ Maybe Sun,” He mused, “ Most children prefer Sun. “ Dj raised an eyebrow, but said nothing. He was offline for most of the night; he had no idea how true or false that was.
“ I disagree,” Both looked up to see Freddy making their way to them, “ I think Gregory is very fond of you, he took to you and Sun much quicker than the others,” the bear pointed out. Moon raised an eyebrow, but said nothing.
“ Did you find the games,” Moon asked, Freddy huffed.
“ We did, the first one is in Roxy’s beauty Parlor,” He said, “ and we believe The other. . . is in Fazerblast,” Moon blinked.
“ So there's three,”  Gregory mumbled and all three fell silent while he settled back down.
“ Yes we found an email detailing it but we don’t know where,” Freddy sat on the stage next to Moon, watching Gregory sleep, “ I figured the girls could take Gregory to the other cabinets while we search Fazer Blast for the last one. Moon nodded. Dj rested his head on his palm.
“ I won’t be able to help much,” Dj was starting to feel drowsy again, “ I can’t leave the stage, not til the tech’s look me over,” Dj admitted, Freddy looked up at him with concern. Moon leaned into Dj in an attempt to comfort him.
“ That’s okay Nightcrawler, we’ll manage,” He sent Dj a smile.
“ We ought to wake Gregory up so we can get started,” Moon’s eyes flashed red, and shrunk at Freddy’s suggestion.  He growled, Dj and Freddy stared at him, Moon blinked and realized what he had done.
“ Sorry,” he held his head, with one hand, and tightened his hold on Gregory with the other, as if to ground himself “ I don’t know what came over me there,”
“ It is quite alright, I honestly expect none of us will be quite the same after tonight’s events. . . and it is possible the virus is still affecting you as well as the others,”
“ Something for the tech’s to do,” Dj added, trying to remain casual as he flicked Moon’s hat so it flopped over his head and rested in his face. Moon gave him a dead panned look.
“ I would like to let Gregory sleep longer too, but it is Seven thirty and staff arrives at twelve, and I worry there is more going on here than just Vanny, I'd rather get this wrapped up with time to spare than . . “ Dj blinked, what would happen if they didn’t fix this, Bonnie would probably be scrapped again, Foxy tossed, Gregory sent away. Who knows what else. Moon huffed, then glanced at Dj.
“ Get the light? I doubt this,” He gestured to his face, “ is something he’d want to wake up to,” Dj hesitated, then nodded, and flipped his stage lights ons. Sun took control, blinking a couple times then rolled his eyes.
“ Honestly Moon is such a drama queen sometimes,” Sun laughed sheepishly, then shook Gregory gently, “ Dewdrop it’s time to wake up,” Gregory blinked, then sat up.
“ What  happened? Did you find the games,” Gregory yawned, Freddy nodded, gently nudging him to get his attention.
“ Yes, Chica and Roxy are going to take you to them while the rest of us look for the last one, we know what attraction it’s in, we just don’t know where exactly.” Freddy explained, Gregory blinked, then stretched.
“ Okay,”  He pushed himself up, rubbing his eyes. Freddy stood and gestured for Sun to follow. Sun folded the blanket holding it for a second.
“ Yeah I can do that,” Sun said to himself, or as Dj knew better, to Moon. Sun turned to Dj and set the folded up blanket where Dj’s head would be when he settled down to sleep again.
“ Moon says good night and he wuvs you,” He clasped his hands and held them by his cheek, standing on one foot as he said the word “ Wuv” in a funny voice, then burst into a fit of giggles as Moon no doubt chewed him out.
“ Wuv you too Moon,” Dj teased, earning more giggles from Sun before he sprinted off after Gregory and Freddy, waving goodbye to Dj, once alone Dj settled down in his spot, the blanket functioning as a pillow. It was the only comfort he had right now as anxiety of what was to come crept in again.
“ Moon’s right,” Dj muttered to himself as he forced his brain to go into sleep mode, “ This company is famous for cutting corners, repurposing, worst case scenario I won’t be an actual attraction, I’ll become . . . something else. . .” Or would he be put in storage, would that be as bad? Dj imagined sitting alone in a warehouse til his battery died, or hardwired into some power source. Collecting dust. Dj suddenly didn’t know which was worse.
Monty yelled something about Alien scum as they entered the game. Moon raised an eyebrow at him before he rolled his eyes.
“ Alright, guys we need to spit up, I’ve opened a connention channel so we can still communicate.” Freddy explained, then as if to prove his point, continued in their heads, “ Moon, Bonnie you take the left side, Monty you and I the right,” Freddy said. Monty and Bonnie gasped.
“ WHAT?! C’mon why do I have to go with you,” Monty moaned.
“ I thought our history meant something Freddy,” Bonnie joked in mock offense. Sun giggled in Moon’s head.
“ I don’t trust you or Monty to not turn it into a game,” Freddy said evenly. “ And this is serious, we don't have time for that,” Moon nodded in agreement. The place was confusing and the lights were a bit harsh and inconsistent. Sun regularly had to take over for some of it. Bonnie close beside him, peeking behind walls.
“ STOP THERE SPACE RANGER,” Sun jumped about ten feet in the air and screamed at the sound of the robotic voice, surprising Bonnie and Moon. Sun spun around and saw the staf bot in with little green antennas on top of it’s head, moving towards him. Sun scrambled back into the shadows making Moon take over.
“ woah woah woah, first off YOU!” Moon shouted as he recovered, standing at his full height, pointing at the staff bot that stopped, “ Beat it,” Moon snarled,  if Sun had his own body he’d be curled into a ball shaking, the bot wheeled off, “ Secondly, Sun what was that?!” Moon turned towards a wall, keeping his focus on his brother in his head. Bonnie tilted  his head to the side.
“ I-I’m sorry it snuck up on me,” Sun’s voice clipped through Moon’s voice box, it only did that when he was really upset.
“ well yeah that’s it’s job, that doesn’t explain-” Moon released a breath, “ Okay well it’s gone now so, let’s get back to-”
“ No! No no no I’m good, you take over, I-i will stay in here,” Sun’s voice’s cut Moon off, Moon winced at the slight irritation sun’s voice cutting through his voice box caused.
“ You okay Sunny? What happened,” Bonnie asked, Moon shrugged.
“ I dunno he just started freaking out, it’s a staff-” Bonnie waved Moon off.
“ No, no not. . . Not just now, before, did something happen before, something that’d make you/him,” He added, reminding Moon that he was  talking to Sun directly, “ Afraid of the staff bots.” Moon heard Sun laugh in a way that was obviously in denile.
“ WHAT Me? Be afraid of them?! No!” Moon paused.
“ He’s in denial,” Moon informed Bonnie. Sun denied it but Moon huffed.
“ What happened,” Bonnie asked, “ Did they do something?” Sun was silent. Moon blinked, he heard another one coming up to them, he turned toward it, and froze.
He was in front of the Daycare, Gregory’s weight in his arms, the staff bots twitched and surrounded him. Moon took a step back, he felt one grab his arm. He dropped Gregory and elbowed it hard, Gregory ran away and they swarmed him. It hurt, they pulled on his arms, ripping at the fabric of his pants.
WARNING DAMAGE SUSTAINED ACTIVATING PSOS CHIP
They didn’t stop. They just kept coming, why were they doing this, weren’t they his friends? why were they-
“ MOON!” Bonnie shouted, pulling Moon out of Sun’s flashback. He held his head.
“Sunny?! Sunny, what happened? Why is my PSOS chip going off.”  Monty demanded over their channel. Bonnie blinked.
“ I’m fine,” Sunny assured Monty from the open channel. It being in their heads he was able to communicate still despite Moon being in control
“ Wait, it's going off? Moon’s just been standing here, nothing happened, Sun got spooked by a staff bot,” Bonnie explained.
“Spooked by a staff bot?,” Freddy asked. Moon held his head as a headache started, a ping happened and a message flashed over his eyes.
DJ: Are you alright?
What the hell, did Dj’s chip go off too?! Why?! Nothing happened!
Moon: I am fine, it’s just some sort of glitch. I’ll explain later, go back to sleep.
“ Where are you in this place, I’m coming over there, and checking! I swear if I find a single scratch of paint I’m breaking all the staff bots!” Monty snarled, Sun’s code buzzed with the emotion he felt, Moon rolled his eyes.
“ Monty, I am FIIIIINE I just had a little scare, and it triggered the chips somehow, but it’s nothing, Moon’s in control now, it’s okay-”
“ CHIPS?! As in Plural?! Dj was notified too?!” Monty demands. Moon rolled his eyes.
“ Everyone shut up please.” Moon snarled, then huffed, “ Feddy, how do we turn the lights off,” Moon snapped. Sun didn’t say anything.
“ Oh um, I’m by the switch, I’ll get it,” Freddy said, the room plunged into the darkness. Moon glared at the staff bot standing in front of him.
“ You, tell your buddies to stay away from me and my brother,” Moon snarled, it seemed startled and wheeled away. Bonnie hesitated.
“ You  good,” Bonnie asked, “ Is Sunny okay,” Moon shrugged.
“ Like Freddy said to me earlier, we’re all gonna be different after this. . .Sun’s not gonna be a fan of staff bots.”  Moon noticed blue light spill onto the ground and followed it with his eyes to the source. The box office in the center of the arena had a light on.
“ Well well well, what is that,” Moon noted, Bonnie followed his gaze as Moon pulled his cable free and tossed it up. It caught on a beam and he sent himself up. He crawled on top of it before slowly dropping to the catwalk. He moved to the window, blue light illuminating the catwalk.
“ SHUTUP!” Moon stopped, “ Shutup Shutup! You do what I SAY,” Moon dropped to a crawl and made his way closer. He peeked in to see Vanessa pacing the room. She was in the Vanny costume, but the mask was off. A hand fisted in her hair.
“ Moon! There's the game!” Sun shouted in his mind. Sure enough the game was behind her being the only light source in the room. She had turned it into a bedroom, with VANNY written on the wall in purple.
“ You found it? Where?” Freddy asked.
“ Security office,” Bonnie answered, after a pause Monty growled in frustration.
“ Stairs busted ,” He snapped.
“ SHUT UP!” Moon shouted in the channel, silencing everyone. Vanessa was leaning heavily on the desk now.
“ I don’t want to do this! I don’t want to do this! Leave me alone!” She whimpered, breaking into sobs that turned into laughter. Moon felt a sickening feeling of familiarity.
“ YOU don’t GET a choice,” Vanny laughed, straightening up, tears still streaming down her face, “ Now Daddy wants that Kid,” Vanny grabbed her mask and pulled it on over her face. Moon felt his fingers twitch. It would be so easy. He could kill her, right here, right now,”  So we are going to take that kid, and bring it to him, I don’t care if you like it, I don’t care if that kid kicks and screams, makes it more fun anyway. “ Moon snarled.
“ Moon, it's not her remember,” Sun warned. Moon knew the others heard him but they said nothing.
“ That is the only thing keeping me out here,” Moon snarled. Vanny turned to the door and left. Moon stood.
“ I mean. . . I know we express this sort of problem differently being robots,” Sun started, “ But. . . is that what it felt like. . . when you were. . .” Moon turned away from the window.
“ I’ll have to bring Gregory up here, but we’ll need to be sure SHE isn’t here,” Moon ignored Sun, who he felt deflate.
“ Alright. That- that shouldn’t be too hard,” Freddy responded, “ Let us regroup.” Moon turned and carefully dropped down to the other three, Monty had his arms crossed and was trying to look casual but Moon could feel his eyes scanning over him to see if he was alright.
“ If I let you look, will you stop staring?” Moon deadpanned.
“ Yes.” Monty didn’t skip a beat, Moon rolled his eyes and held his arms out in a T pose. Freddy and Bonnie exchanged looks while Monty gave Moon and by extension Sun a once over.
“ Alright, so we just need to distract Vanny,” Bonnie confirmed, Freddy nodded.
“ How are we going to do that if we can’t SEE her,” Moon snapped as Monty lifted one of his arms high above his head to check the paint job on his torso.
“ AH! What’s this!” Monty snapped, pointing to a paint scuff.
“ That’s from earlier!” Moon snapped, ripping his arm free, “ In case you didn’t notice, half of my face is still unpainted, my one arm is unpainted, this body was LITERALLY torn apart HOURS ago,” Moon bonked Monty’s snout as he spoke. Monty rubbed his snout sheepishly.
“ Right. . . sorry.” Moon huffed, crossing his arms and turned back to the other two who were watching the exchange with wide eyes.
“ We can’t see Vanny, how do we distract her,” Moon asked again.Freddy rubbed the back of his neck.
“ I do not know, that is a problem,” Freddy agreed. Monty adjusted his glasses.
“ Why can’t we see her again?” He asked, Bonnie leaned against the back wall.
“ She’s got these stupid disks, when tuned to the right frequencey it makes her invisible to us, I think they use em in Fazbear Frights to make the horror attractions looke real,” Bonnie added as an after thought.
“ Why the hell would they do that, we’re plenty scary when we want to be,” Monty pointed out, “ I mean look at Moon, face like that is pure nightmare fuel,” Moon raised an eyebrow.
“ I have the same face as your boyfriend,” Moon reminded him, “ Watch it,” Monty blinked, then nervously started laughing.
“ Ah! Haha, come on, Sun knows I don’t mean it like that. . . . right?” Moon deadpanned at him, “ Seriously I'm just messing with You, not Sun, Sun’s adorable,” Moon still said nothing, “ Alright I will ask him through the open channel if you keep staring at me like that.” Monty snapped. Freddy rolled his eyes at them, while Bonnie snickered, and elbowed him.
“ Close the channel, close the channel,” He egged, Freddy shook his head.
“ Anyway,” Freddy cut in, “ this is the only location, to my knowledge,” Freddy explained, catching Monty’s attention, “ With animatronics like us, being. . . sentient? Is that the right word,” Moon, and Monty shrugged.
“ Yes.” Bonnie said simply, “ Anyway if Vanny is using these disks to hide from us, our only indication she’s around is the high pitch ringing I can kinda hear,” Bonnie made a so/so gesture with his hand.
“ And absolutely incapacitates Gregory every time he hears it,” Moon added, Freddy nodded with a worried expression.
“ Not an ideal situation I admit,” Freddy agreed. Monty held up a finger to get their attention.
“ Now hold on, just a minute,” Moon raised an eyebrow.
“ Oh? Did you have your yearly thought?” Moon asked, Monty pulled on Moon’s cap.
“ Shut up, I’m serious, “ He said evenly, “ Didn’t Roxanne just get new eyes,” He asked, “ Like I got these,” He held up his hands, “ Chica got a voice box, Freddy got,” He paused, then lowered his glasses, “ What did you get again?” He asked, Freddy shrugged.
“ Nothing I believe,” Monty hummed.
“ Anyway, Roxy got new eyes. Maybe she can see her?” Monty suggested. Freddy hummed.
“ possibly. How do we test this?” Freddy asked, the other three were quiet, then a loud voice erupted in Freddy’s head and through their open channel.
“ FREDDY! FREDDY HELP,” Gregory called, Moon’s gaze snapped to the bear who blinked.
“ Gregory what happened? Where are you, where are Roxanne and chica?” Freddy asked frantically, Gregory’s voice didn’t respond right away, when it did it was quiet.
“ We got seperated on our way back to the Faz-cade, I think I’m in the bakery? There's a nightmare cupcake here,” Freddy blinked, and exchanged looks with the others.
“ That is just a statue Gregory, it can not hurt you,” Freddy informed him.
“ I know that! That doesn’t change that it’s pure nightmare fuel, with it’s beady yellow eyes,” Gregory hissed, making Bonnie snicker, “ this is probably the creepiest thing here, and that’s saying something since I was chased around by a hacked Moon in the dark!” Moon winced at that comment, Monty looked torn between snickering at him and feeling pity for him.
“ Gregory is this why you called me,” Freddy asked, an expression of exasperation coming over his face.
“ No! The Rabbit lady showed up! At least I think she did!” Gregory said.
“ You think?” Monty cut in.
“ Woah wait who else is here?” Gregory asked, confusion in his voice.
“ ALL OF US!” Sun cheered, “ Freddy opened a temporary channel for the five of us to chat while we looked for Princess Quest, well six, now!” Gregory was quiet.
“ Moon didn’t hear the nightmare thing I said, did he?” Gregory asked, Moon rolled his eyes and snickered.
“ Yes, I did, it’s alright, I deserved it, but back to the problem at hand, you said you think?” he asked.
“ Yeah! I didn’t see her, but I think Roxy did. She just told me to hide in here, and I hear staff bots everywhere,” Gregory started to sound nervous again. Moon started looking around the room for a vent, they were faster than running through the pizzaplex and god knows Moon had plenty of practice from the tubes in the daycare. Monty grabbed his arm to keep him there though.
“ Kid just keep calm,” Bonnie advised, “ If Roxanne told you to hide you should just do it,we’ll head your way right now to try and help but Do Not Panic, I’m sure the girls know what they’re doing,” Did any of them. This was beyond a unique situation for them.
“ Okay,” Gregory sounded nervous, but seemed to listen. Bonnie turned to the others, “ well I think that answers that, “ He said simply, " let’s get the kid and think of a game plan.” They all nodded.

the runaway prince masterlist
-
Remus was no stranger to the Snake Princes. He was no stranger to the Slytherin Crowns. He knew of their manipulative ways and their hunger for power. He knew their cunning minds and cold nature. He witnessed their violence and their greed, the way they treated their people, treated him. He knew of the hold they had over people. It was why he left. Sirius, as much as Remus hated to admit it, knew just as well as he did. And that made him despise the Slytherin Prince.
---
Remus sighed, eyes closed and face cast towards the sun, a small smile dancing on his lips as he basked in the early morning heat. It was far too soon for him to be awake, the moon still fading behind him and the birds only just beginning to chirp in the trees surrounding him, but his mind was stirring and his body was far too conscious to attempt to sleep again. The garden was the only place he felt comfortable this early in the morning, other than the dark passageways deep in the palace that only a small number of the staff and royals went down, but that was more for the late nights, unable to sleep, not the early morning rises.
He let his hands trail through the rose bushes he trimmed to perfection, avoiding the thorns as much as he could, though his hands were littered with small scars, reaching up to his wrists. He didn’t have the most delicate hands, forever shaking and unsteady. He had tried a variety of jobs over his time here but this one stuck the most, he wasn’t sure he would ever be as comfortable at this very moment doing something else.
He was forever switching, his mind panicked over the simple jobs and his shy nature holding him back from high up positions. But a year was a long time for switching between jobs and so the crown gave him free rein, with a disgruntled warning from the King to pick wisely and the gentle wisdom from the Queen to pick what felt right. Right now, this felt right.
When he arrived in Gryffindor all those years ago, he was a broken man. Or that was what everyone thought about him. He became the talk of the town in Crianna, eyes always following him around with the rumours and the history trailing behind him, sticking to his back. He thought it would be the same when he was referred to the palace as a servant. It mostly was, and probably would have followed him to Bardom too if it wasn’t for the prince. Thomas was more than just his prince. He became a friend, almost a protector against the whispers and past. He stayed by his side for the three years he was there, trailing him and warning people away when their voices got just too loud for Remus to hear. He never took an official job there, or an official role. He was just Thomas’ friend. The two year age difference did little to steer them away from each other, no matter how hard people tried. They were attached at the hip.
When he moved to Bardom later, he was prepared for it all to start again, for the stories to be used against him. Thomas had secured him a good place at the palace and squashed everything down, but it didn’t do much. He found himself another royal who backed his corner, a younger prince this time. Finn was everything a prince wasn’t supposed to be and it was a pleasant surprise for Remus to witness. He was loud and outgoing, forever ignoring the warning glances from his parents and brother, wandering the woods on the outskirts of the palace grounds with another, younger still, prince.
Logan was more like what Remus was expecting. Calm, collected - well, as collected as a hotheaded prince with plenty of opinions could be, but he kept those to himself mostly - and rule-following up until the moment he was reunited with Finn, and everyone knew when the pair were reunited. You could never find them for more than mere minutes at a time, the two running off with each other to who knows where from a young age, Remus was told the first time he saw it happen. It was sweet to see two princes get a lot so well together and not battling with one another. But then again, this was Gryffindor. Not everyone was like the royals of Slytherin.
He didn’t bother turning his face away from the sky when he heard the footsteps sound from behind him, simply letting them approach and clap them on the shoulder. He heard a deep sigh and then they were sitting next to him, arm now fully around his shoulder.
“For a prince, you are far too comfortable with commoners,” he remarked, cracking an eye open to glance at Finn, whose gaze was cast to the bush beside them.
“You say that like you don’t enjoy these times we spend together. Admit it, you like my hugs,” he shot back, moving closer and wrapping him up tighter, Remus’ head almost locked in.
“I’m not Logan,” he wheezed out.
Finn faked a gasp. “You’re awfully more cheeky now that you’re no longer in your teenage years. Being twenty changed you, Loops! Where is the gardener from all those months ago?”
He rolled his eyes, shoving his side gently, hiding the smirk growing across his face. “You’re just mad that you're only sixteen.”
Finn let out a quiet snort, waving his hands slightly. “Please. I love being 16. The older I get, the more princely responsibilities I get. I’m very happy to be 16.”
He huffed out a laugh, pulling himself free and settling down more firmly on the bench. “Is that sarcasm I detect? That mouth of yours is going to get you into trouble one of these days.”
“Yeah, well, the joys of being a prince. I’ll be protected from that. Lucky me,” he said dryly and Remus cast a knowing gaze over to him.
“Hey,” Finn looked over, a downcast and sullen expression on his face, one that was not normally found on the bubbly sixteen-year-old. “I know it’s not easy the older you get. Especially not for you. But you have people here to help you when things get hard, you know that. Your parents, as unapproachable as they are, are here to teach you this. You have Olli, he’ll be your advisor very soon, and you’re lucky he’s someone who can put up with your adventurous nature,” Finn smirked at that. “Alex is there. He’s always there for you. Logan’s there. I don’t think he’s going to be leaving anytime soon, neither of you would be able to function very well if he did. You have people here.”
Finn smiled at him. “Don’t miss your name off that list, Loops. You may not class yourself as someone worthy of my time but you mean a lot to me too. I’m here talking about this with you, aren’t I?” He raised an eyebrow and Remus shifted his gaze back to the flowers surrounding them.
“There are people who would be able to give you better advice about this than I can. I know nothing about being a sixteen-year-old prince whose duties are increasing tenfold by the day. Your brother does. Thomas does, you can write to him. There are others who could help you far better. Don’t disregard that and stick to asking me. I’m quite useless in this topic area.”
“Yes, well, I came to talk to you about it. Deal with it,” he snarked back, chin poised and eyes closed as he looked up. Remus couldn’t hold back his laugh.
“Well, I’ll leave the bad decision making to you, then. When are you leaving?”
Finn shrugged his shoulder, shifting in his spot and spreading his legs further out, slouching down further. “Tomorrow afternoon, I think. Logan has brought most of the belongings that he needs but we will be stopping at Dumo’s along the way. Then straight into Hufflepuff to the house.”
“You don’t sound too excited,” Remus remarked, turning and making Finn look directly at him. “You normally love your trips away, especially when Logan gets to go.”
Finn sighed, nodding along absentmindedly. Remus frowned in slight concern, moving closer. “I know. Father still won’t budge on us going alone with just the guards. No older siblings or advisors to ruin the trip with royalty talk.”
“I know this isn’t what you want to hear but it’s not because they are being difficult, it’s for your own safety-”
“I know it is but it’s not that necessary anymore. Saint and Luke will be there to travel around with Logan like they always do and Henrik and Sergei will be there, of course they will, and the guards at the house too, so I don’t understand why it is such a big issue. It’s a week and a half trip, a holiday that we look forward to every year that’s mine and Logan’s holiday. It always has been.”
“Finn,” Remus started, as softly as he could. “Logan is fifteen. Even if you wanted to, it is not practical. You are only sixteen. You’re princes. It’s not going to work. Don’t make this trip unhappy for the both of you just because Dumo is with you and Alex is staying for a few days. Eventually, it will just be the guards with you. But you are both still teenage princes. Give it a few years.”
Remus could only describe the look on Finn’s face to be a sulky pout, his eyes downcast and heavy overexaggerated sighs interrupting him as he spoke. “I know. It would just be nice to do it now, while we don’t have so many responsibilities. I’m second in line, my responsibilities are nowhere near to where Logan’s are going to be once he turns sixteen. We won’t get as many opportunities as we have now.”
“I get that, I do, it’s frustrating. But that’s exactly why you can’t ruin this trip by being miserable, okay. If not for your own sake then Logan’s.”
Finn sighed again and Remus bit back his smile, shaking his head at the brooding teen. “Yeah, you’re right. I guess I can put up with it for now. But as soon as Logan turns eighteen…things are changing around here.”
Remus chuckled. “If you say so, Your Majesty.”
Finn pulled a face, turning his face into a scowl. “How many times? Don’t call me that. That title goes better with my brother than it does me.”
“Okay, little prince.”
“That’s no better. Come on, you’ve known me for two years now, you can do better than that. What are your plans for when Alex and I aren’t here? You can go down to Crianna, I think mother said you have time if you wanted to. Or is Thomas coming here?”
“Thomas is the King, I doubt he would have time for me within his schedule. But yes, he is coming up for this week, so rest assured I won’t be completely on my own when you are away.”
“Are those the days before Alex comes or after?”
“I think before. He and Kasey are going to join you after his first day and then I get him all to myself. Well, along with the politicians visiting,” he smiled to himself, already excited for him to arrive.
“It’s been so long since you have last seen each other. You could always go back down to Crianna with him. It’s your home, where your family is. I’m sure Julian would love to see you for a surprise visit.”
His smile widened at the mention of his younger brother, young and carefree at the age of six, who he absolutely adored and hated leaving behind every time he visited. It was worth waiting to see them, though, knowing they were safe in Crianna than they were before. Before they left. If he could bring them up to live in Bardom and be with him every day over safety, eight weeks separation was the far better option.
“Maybe. I’m supposed to be back in three weeks, so I can’t afford to lose any days that I can be down there. Your mother would let me go. Your father…” He trailed off and Finn raised an understanding eyebrow. The King would never allow it.
They were quiet after that, the only noise around them coming from the wind between the branches of the trees and the birds singing in the alcove nearby, a trio circling around each other. Remus smiled and made to stand up, stretching his back and his right shoulder, wincing at the pull in his left. Finn gave him a sympathetic look and stood with him, clapping his forearm softly.
“I’ve got a meeting now and I’m sure that Adam will be here any minute now to drag me away. Apparently, they’ve found me an advisor now that I’m sixteen and they want me to see if I like them,” he rolled his eyes and sighs. “All my freedom is now going to be gone.”
“You’ll get over it. I’m sure they will be nice. Your mother had a say and I’m sure Adam wouldn’t pick anyone who you wouldn’t like.”
He only got another sigh in return and a tight-lipped smile before walking backwards away from him and around the corner, out of sight. Remus let out a breath that he wasn’t sure he was holding until it was gone. He started his slow walk over to the flower beds, still low and unbloomed and sank down beside them. No matter how long he spent at the palace and how many royal members he had as friends, he would never get over that feeling. The feeling of being friends with a prince, never mind a king.
He let his fingers trail through the soil, tracing random patterns and shapes over and over until it had spread out and over the edge. He dropped his hand, bringing his knees up to his chest and tipping his head back into the warm morning sun, creeping higher into the sky now, the moon disappearing away. He let his eyes fall shut and his body drop, ignoring the feel of the wet soil creeping up where his shirt had ridden and he let his breathing slow out. It was too warm for him to be staying out here in the middle of summer with no cover or shade. But he let the heat wash over him and let himself drift off.
**
Sirius lay in the dark of his room, silent and still, ignoring the whispered voices from downstairs and the creaking of floorboards around him. He squeezed his eyes shut, blocking out as much as he could with no hope, grabbing his pillow and shoving it over his face. He struggled to breathe in this position but at least the noise was lessened.
He should be downstairs, is expected to be downstairs and greet the guests that had arrived for dinner and the diplomatic meetings taking place across the weekend. Instead, he was here, cowering away, trying to get as far away from the Slytherin kingdoms all piled into his home. He knew, he knew as much as his mother tried to dismiss his concerns that he wasn’t safe here. Regulus wasn’t safe here and that was his biggest worry. His brother, barely eleven and already under the influence of his parents was being paraded around in front of dangerous people with dangerous minds and there was nothing he could do about it.
It would be more dangerous to bring him along, to try and make the journey to a destination he still wasn’t certain of than it would be to let him stay. They wouldn’t hurt him, not like they had him. He was too much under their power for that. But he couldn’t leave him to the snakes. It would ruin both of them.
He flinched when a knock resounded through the room, bouncing off the walls and echoing around him. He silently moved off the bed and over, turning the lock with the key he wasn’t supposed to know was hidden and ushered his brother inside, closing it behind them just as quickly. He sighed, resting his forehead against the cool wood, letting his breath slow and his heartbeat even out.
“Sirius?” He turned at the call of his name, Regulus perched on the edge of the bed, rigid and tall, displaying the perfect stance of a Slytherin prince even in the confines of an empty room. Even when there was no one to judge his every move.
“Please relax, Regulus. You won’t get told off here,” he kept his voice soft and gentle, seeing the shakiness of his form and the barely concealed rough breathing, moving to settle beside him and wrap an arm around his shoulder.
Regulus flinched slightly at the contact and Sirius clenched his jaw, bringing him closer to his side. Moments went by before a warm weight settled more deliberately next to him, his brother slouched and calm, sitting like he was. Sitting like a normal boy.
“I don’t like all these people downstairs. They are not very nice,” the posh accent of his brother threw him and for a minute he forgot who they were. They could pose and pretend that they were normal all they wanted but they had been conditioned since birth, given far too many harsh and unneeded punishments for not following rules. It saddened him that his brother couldn’t even talk freely, always princely and proper. It disgusted him.
“I don’t either. You can stay here all you like, you know that. You don’t have to go back downstairs, I won’t make you, and I won’t let them take you back down,” it was no shock to everyone that Regulus was not one to enjoy social interactions, similar to himself. He knew that his parents wished they weren’t as similar.
They were brought up around nobody but each other, parents who didn’t love them and nannies who barely spoke a word out of turn. Regulus didn’t know crowds or many people. He shouldn’t fear being in a room with his cousins and their husbands. He shouldn’t fear his family. But that was what it had come down to. The disciplinary lessons didn’t happen to just them. It was a family ‘tradition’. Others just took to it, following it more than he did.
“They want me to join a club. A society of other young princes. I do not want to join,” his words were frantic and scared and all Sirius could do was hold him closer to his side.
The Society of Young Slytherin Princes, or The Den which Sirius called it, was unavoidable. Once every prince turns eleven and a half they are made to join. If the lessons with his parents were intense, it was nothing compared to this. They were called pythons, young snakes hungry for order. It was the worst six years of his life. He had only just ‘graduated’ the club, just over a year ago, turning eighteen the November before. Graduates left six months before the age of eighteen, enough time left to prepare them for what came after they turned of age.
The Society was led by cruel and punishing men, hired and controlled by one of the Slytherin kings, Riddle. It didn’t matter that they each had their own kingdoms, Riddle was the king of kings and oversaw the entirety of the country. He had all the power. Normally, graduates of The Den would become apprentices, groomed into becoming exactly what made them the men they were. In some people, they became teachers to get revenge on what happened to them. Only, they would just repeat the actions on the innocent children around them.
If there was one place Sirius didn’t want Regulus to be, it was in The Den. Sirius missed his brother’s life, missed his own life when he was there. It was almost a boarding school in the very northwest of Horcrux, Riddle’s kingdom, called Little Hangleton, the grounds spreading into Tedith, an empty plot of land perfect for their outdoor lessons. Mostly combat and one on one fighting. It wasn’t innocent and careful training. It was a brutal, injury-inducing conflict. Regulus would never survive. They were there for months at a time, coming home for two weeks at most to display all they had learnt before being shoved right back into the snake’s den.
“I know you don’t. Nobody does and I will try my very best to keep you as far away from there as possible, but I don’t know how much I can do. But I’ll try,” he promised, brushing the long fringe out of his brother’s eyes. “Did you meet anyone who will be going with you?”
“There is a boy called Nott. He is a Prince of Abima. He is going along with his twin brother Avery. But they are not nice. They are mean and were causing trouble all night.”
Sirius pursed his lips. Those boys would be an issue if they were there with Regulus. “That is why princes are sent. To correct their behaviour and prepare them to become rulers,” he was spitting bullshit, lies that his mother had beaten into him, but he knew there was nothing else he could tell Regulus.
“But my behaviour is good. I am a good prince, I do not need to go,” it was almost like Regulus was pleading with him to not let him go and Sirius could feel the beginnings of tears form. None came, not even a glaze went across his eyes. Crying was not proper of Slytherin princes. He didn’t even know if he had any tears left.
“I’m sorry,” he choked out in a hushed whisper before clearing his throat. “You are an amazing prince, Regulus. But you cannot escape this, as much as I want you to.”
Regulus only let out a sniff and Sirius’ heart broke. One day he wouldn’t even be able to do that. Would be too numb to feel emotion at all. They stayed in the silence, his hand rubbing circles across Regulus' shoulder as he tried to calm his panic-stricken brother down before something bad happened. His eyes were locked on the gap beneath the door, the light creating shadows that he wasn’t sure were footsteps; there was no sound to follow them but it was eerily too empty upstairs for nobody to be here.
Regulus gasps quietly and his attention was drawn away and back to the child beside him, angling his body to look at him more directly, a questioning look drawn on his face. He followed his line of sight and his heart sunk, bile rising up his throat. Regulus’ eyes were locked on the small bags on the corner of the room, concealed but easily clear to what they were.
“You are leaving,” it wasn’t a question, but his voice still pitched up at the end, thick with emotion and Sirius sunk down until he was eye level with his brother.
“Regulus…” he started but stopped. How was he supposed to explain this? Explain that he was leaving their home and consequently Regulus behind.
“Why?” His voice was small and he couldn’t even look at Sirius, his eyes everywhere but on him. Sirius made a soft noise in the back of his throat and leaned forward slowly, as if he was approaching a wounded animal and cupped the back of his neck, bringing his face to look at him.
“I…I do not know what to say to you. I am so sorry. I am. I do not want to leave you here, not with…with all these people around you, all of these horrible people. But…” he trailed off again, wiping his hands over his thighs, watching Regulus stare at him with tear-filled eyes, shaking again, curling his fingers into his robes. “I can’t,” his voice broke and his head dropped.
Small hands grabbed his face and pulled it back up and Sirius watched the first tears fall down his cheeks and reached up to wipe them away. “It is okay,” his voice was wobbly and he was nodding along to his words like he was trying to convince him just as much as Sirius.
“It’s not okay. It is not what I want to do. But I am. I am going to find a place, a safer place for us, both of us and then come back for you. I am going to come back for you as soon as I can.”
“I understand,” Sirius felt like sobbing. Regulus was far too mature for an eleven-year-old, had seen far too much that a child shouldn’t have to see. “When are you going?”
Sirius was prepared to leave at any given moment, as soon as he knew Regulus wouldn’t be in immediate danger then he felt ready enough to go. He wouldn’t be gone for long. He would be back as soon as he could. He had to be.
“I do not know yet. But I will tell you before I go. I will say goodbye.”
“‘S not goodbye. Promise me. It is not goodbye,” that was when the tears came, and they came harder and faster than before, spilling down both of their cheeks. Sirius reached forward and wrapped Regulus into a tight hug, bringing him down to the floor with him and pressing them as closely together as he could.
“I promise. I promise I promise,” he whispered fervently, rocking them slowly and they struggled to catch their breath, chocking on clogged emotion.
As soon as Regulus had stopped shaking, Sirius could feel it slump down and become a dead weight in his arms. He glanced down, watching the small breaths puff out and smiled slightly despite the dried tear tracks on your cheeks. He shifted the boy’s weight and lifted him up as he stood, walking over to the door and unlocking it, peeking out and glancing for wandering guests. Once it was clear he walked across the hall to Regulus’ room and placed the boy down on his silk green sheets, tucking them up to his chin and swiping the hair from his forehead, sighing.
He left shortly after, making sure Regulus was warm and comfortable back to his own room where he sat, elbows resting on his knees and face in his hands, silent tears tracking back down his face.

There was a chill breeze in the air today compared to yesterday that had Remus wrapping himself up in his softest and warmest jumpers. Gryffindor was always tedious with the weather, especially in summer and especially in the north. But not even the cold could stop the smile spreading across his face as he rounded the corner into the sitting room in the west of the palace, towards the guest rooms.
“Long time no see Mr Lupin,” the smile only widened and he crossed the room in a second, arms flinging around Thomas’ shoulders, a laugh escaping him and he pulled him close.
“Six weeks,” he started around the laughter bubbling out of both of them. “Is far too long.”
“Damn right, but hey, we’ve lasted longer. Are you sure you need to stay here? You can come back with me. You still have the place at the palace and your parent’s house,” he knew it was only a joke but the temptation was still there.
“As much as I would like to…I like it here.”
“I bet you do. Lazing around in the garden all day every day, soaking up a tan. But looking at you right now, I’d say more of a burn,” Remus scoffed and brought a hand up to his cheeks, cooling the heat pooling there. The lazy rest in the sun a few days ago had left him red all over.
“Oh stop. I’m not used to the sun, you know that. My home was a dark place,” he trailed off, mumbling and scratching his neck. Now he’d made it awkward.
“Exactly why this job is the best for you. You can soak up everything you didn’t have before, sun included,” he sighed in relief, shoulders dropping and smile returning. Thomas never asked when he didn’t need to. But he knew the story himself already.
“What are you planning for today? Are there going to be a swarm of politicians here to steal you away or are you clear for us to do something?”
“You have me all to yourself along with Alex and Kasey. I hear the two little troublemakers are over in Hufflepuff. Shame, I enjoy pulling trouble with them.”
Remus chuckled. “I think the palace staff are very grateful that the three of you aren’t together. Alex and Kasey should be here soon. They were in a meeting this morning.”
“Them two are always in meetings. Come on, you need to tell me everything that has happened since we last saw each other.”
“There isn’t much to tell. So far, June has been a slow and boring month. But at least summer is here. Finn hasn’t stopped going on about summer since last summer, so at least he’s happy now.”
“All excited for the big birthday ball in August, I assume,” they both rolled their eyes. It was no secret to anyone that Finn hated growing older.
“There’s no doubt in my mind that he and Logan will escape some time into the evening. They always do,” Logan liked growing older, looked forward to the responsibilities it brought him. He just didn’t like being the centre of attention of parties.
“Come on, we’re not having these conversations here when Alex has a massive sitting room all to himself on the other side of the palace where we won’t get interrupted. We’ll meet them there, they should be done by then.”
They started a slow walk over out into the garden and over to the other side of the grounds, mostly in silence with quips thrown between them as they went. “How are my parents? Julian?”
Thomas badly tried to conceal a smirk. “Well, Julian has now decided that he wants to be called Jules full time,” Remus raised an eyebrow. “I don’t know either. But he pulls a face when he is called by his full name. Must think it’s too posh.”
“He’s not wrong. And my parents?”
“They are all well. No issues, no troubles, both there and elsewhere. They miss you, of course,” silence dragged out as they walked back through the halls and Remus looked over at him curiously. “I…may have sent a carriage over to their house before I left so they could join us over here in the next few days.”
“Thomas…” he said in disbelief, stopping outside the door and catching his arm. “What?”
“Don’t look at me like that. You miss them, every day, I know you do, and if I have to look at poor Jules' baby face frown and grow sad every time your name is mentioned I’ll have to kidnap you and bring him back to you. Your family miss you.”
There was a ghost of a smile on his lips as he pictured his baby brother's face and he nodded along. “Thank you.”
“Don’t thank me just yet. Jules is going to make a storm when he gets here, believe me. Good job Finn isn’t here. A child with a child? This poor palace.”
“Alright, alright, my brother is not that bad, Your Majesty, and I can guarantee that Jules would only have his attention for the first hour before he himself will be tired out,” they turned around, Alex and Kasey standing behind them, all four of them going to bow before laughing at each other. “Up you get you two. Welcome back,” he drew Thomas into a hug and Kasey walked up to Remus’ side.
“Back together again, huh? Reckon they will be just as bad as last time?”
“I don’t think you have anything to say. If I remember correctly, you were the one who fell into the fountain, not them.”
He was smacked lightly on the back of the head. “We were never supposed to bring that incident up again.”
“But we always have such a good laugh when we do,” he laughed as if to prove the point and Kasey rolled his eyes at him, dragging him back into the room.
“Come on, we are leaving later on tonight so we only have the rest of the day together. Let’s make some new memories and stop rehatching old ones.”
The three of them laughed at his pout and Alex walked over to ruffle his hair, but ended up just running his fingers through it instead. Remus looked away over to where Thomas was rifling through the shelves and pulling out objects, making a mess already. He smiled softly to himself and sank down into a chair, letting his head tip back and his body relax before the laughter and fun began.
**
Sirius was back where he was before, laying in the dark confines of his room, his travelling jacket wrapped around himself and his bags by the door. His hands were covering his face and he was desperately trying to find the urge to stay but go at the same time. He had reasons for both. He slowly sat himself up, brushing his fingers through his hair and sighing softly to himself. If he didn’t leave now he never would, and he would never be able to escape past the guards and grab Padfoot before waking up the rest of the house.
Grabbing his bag, he paused by the door, taking another look at his dull, green room, with his king-sized bed rumpled and unmade. He eyed the curtains at his window and around his bed, pulling a face at the intricate silver designs and French phrases stitched into them. His dresser was a dark brown, almost black and was cleared of all the belongings he desperately wanted to bring with him. His crown was resting on top and he walked over to it, letting his fingers run over the silver lines and the emerald gems. He stashed it in the bottom of the bag. If he needed to he could sell it. Or use it if he needed proof of who he was, but he hoped it wouldn’t come to that. He didn’t need people to know who he was.
He unlocked the door, keeping the key in his hand and relocked it behind him, walking over to Regulus’ room. It was late, far past the time his brother normally goes to sleep but he had promised him that he would say goodbye before he left. He opened the door, wincing at the creek in the wood and quickly made his way over to the bed, settling down beside the younger boy.
He smiled sadly at the calmness he saw when he was asleep, a look he had never seen was Regulus was awake. It would be there less and less by the time he went to The Den and he would be plagued with nightmares. He wished he could stop it. He run a hand down his arm and to his hand, the cold seeping into his skin and rubbed it softly before leaning over.
“Regulus,” he whispered, pushing his hair back. “Reg, wake up.”
The boy groaned in his sleep, whimpering and shifting over, curling into his side, his eyes scrunching up. He reached up with his fist, rubbing at them and making eye contact with him. “‘Rius?”
“Come on, sit up,” he coaxed him into a seated position and let his bags drop beside him quietly, Regulus following the movement with his eyes. The tears came faster than he thought they would. “It's okay. It’s okay, don’t cry, Reg.”
“How long? How long will you be gone?” The question was hard and unavoidable. But he didn’t have an answer for him.
“You will be at The Society soon, you won’t have time to miss me,” that was a lie. Sirius missed Regulus every day when he was there. He missed the birth of his brother, his first steps, his first word. He spent every second missing his brother. But he needed Regulus to be better than him. “I’ll be back before you know it and me and you will leave this place forever. I promise.”
He couldn’t promise him that but he had to do something to calm him down. It would be kidnapping and as much as Sirius needed Regulus out of the house, he needed a plan in order to do it. He needed help and he wasn’t sure he was going to get it.
“Don’t forget me. Please come back for me,” Sirius’ old tears fell then and he brought his brother into a tight hug.
“Never, Reg. I will never forget you and I am getting you back to me.”
They stayed in the hug for minutes, neither of them wanting to pull away before Sirius took the first move and pushed himself back, cupping the back of Regulus’ neck.
“Now, you listen to me. When you get to The Society, don’t disobey. Don’t give them a reason to punish you. Don’t isolate yourself from the other boys but you do not have to do what they do. Don’t make enemies. It’s…it’s going to be hard, but you will get through it.”
“You will not be back before I have to go?”
“I don’t know yet, Reg. But just in case I am not, follow what I said, okay? I know you, I know how smart you are. You’ll know what you should and should not do. Do what you think is best when you are there, okay?”
Regulus nodded, mumbling in confirmation and Sirius stared at him for a moment longer. He had no idea how old his brother was going to be the next time he saw him. Would it be a few months? A year? Even longer? He didn’t know. He leant forward, pressing a kiss to his hair and stood up, stretching and letting his hand drop onto Regulus’ hair.
“Love you, Siri,” he felt his heart squeeze at the mumbled words and bent down to pick up his bags, walking towards the door, dropping the key to his room on the dresser.
“Love you too, Reg. The key to my room is there if…if you need a place to hide out. I got the locks changed so her key will not work. Be safe, Reg.”
He didn’t stay behind to hear what he said in reply, closing the door behind him and making his way down towards the stairs. It took a moment to look at the stairs, at the worn about splotches in the carpet and slowly made his way down, sticking to those creak-free spots.
He made his way out of the door, closing it quietly and running over to the garden, past the seats and the outdoor eating area and over to where the horses were kept. He crept past Kreacher, the horse turning in his direction and watching him carefully as he unhooked Padfoot’s reigns and saddle before going over to the horse and getting himself ready. He flung the bags over the side and led him out and into the clearing before jumping on and turning around, watching Kreacher trot back over to his own stall.
Sirius knew he would be followed. He knew the moment he left the stable, slipped through the door and then again through the gate that they would come after him, that they would track him down. It didn't stop him, nor slow him down, but rather spurred him on. He didn’t feel nervous as he grabbed the reins of his horse, didn’t feel scared as he headed down the path that led through the woods. He felt excited, happy, relieved that he was finally doing this. He was finally leaving this hellhole he could never call home. But he couldn’t help the guilt that ate up inside him, couldn’t help the frown that etched onto his face at what he was leaving behind. Who he was leaving behind. He didn’t let that turn him back around.

Days grow ever shorter as the cold deepens across Fódlan, sprinkling the first powders of hoarfrost from its icy hand. Roaring fires become the eye of every household, a halo of red to match that which cloaks the silhouettes of wolves under the growing moon. Their distant howls strike fear into the hearts of shepherds in the dark.
The north winds of Faerghus bring not only the promise of winter, but whispers of concern surrounding a particular Kingdom nobleman. Rumor has it that this man has been acting strangely - erratic one day and lethargic the next, occasionally mumbling gibberish under his breath. His sudden disappearance has resulted in calls for the Church to investigate. After the fiasco in Leicester, however, those who are called to look into the matter have been ordered to shed their uniforms and make their identities a secret. As eastern Faerghus settles in for an impending snowstorm, no one will bat an eye at travelers searching for warmth and shelter.
Golden Deer Mission: Investigate Duke Philip!
GD Mission Board
Faerghus' winter storms come early this year. The bone-deep chill you feel as a strong wind blows through your group is worse than the priests back at school forewarned. Unless you're planning to become a popsicle, you should do as the Faerghans do and try to build yourself some shelter.
You stick out like a sore thumb in your school uniforms, and they're not quite enough to keep you warm either. On your travels, you come across a ransacked village, scorched and trampled... it's an opportunity to find more appropriate clothes, even if you're mixed on the idea of becoming a second group of bandits. What’s more, the destruction seems fairly recent...
Ill-prepared for the weather as you are, you manage to get lost in the forest just outside of the location you’re supposed to be investigating. Part of your group builds a fire to stay warm as the sun begins to sink, while the other sets out to regain their bearings. It’s just as dusk sets in that the trees come alive with low moaning and the sound of something being dragged through the leaf litter. You brace for a monster, but instead you find humans - around half a dozen - with ashen skin and their eyes rolled back into their heads. One swings at someone in your party and sends them flying into a tree, but unfortunately your attacks aren’t so potent. Standard weapons bounce right off of these things. Fortunately for you, Nessie of the Knights of Seiros is with you, and one strike from her gauntlets reveals the monster’s weakness: Relics. [Grants +1 Reason or +1 Brawling]
With Nessie’s help, you make it to the village at last. There seems to be some sort of ritual or festival going on - one that doesn’t correspond to any holiday you’ve heard of. Not to mention that decor seems half-rotted already, and the houses look to have been neglected for weeks. There are people in dark cloaks, their faces concealed, shuffling in between crowds of those same corpse-like monsters you fought in the forest. Except Nessie recognizes a handful of them by name, and you come to the cold realization that these are people. Dressed in robes yourself, you go unnoticed by whoever is leading this strange ritual. Try to keep a low profile as you observe. [Grants +1 Faith]
You’re on the lookout for a Duke Philip - the man supposedly in charge of this village, and the one whose report you initially received. There’s a house at the far end of the village with doors and windows both completely boarded up. But through a hole, you manage to see a glimpse of a shadow pacing back and forth at all hours of the day. The cloaked figures in the village also seem especially interested in this place, as there are often three or four patrolling the area at any given time. Make too much of a commotion and your mission will be in jeopardy.
NEW ! As time goes on, you begin to notice a pattern. Occasionally one of the villagers will be called to the house on the far end of the village. Some never return. Others return more irritable and irrational, similar to the people you discovered in the forest. It's reason enough to try investigating the building more thoroughly. You find a way in through a trap door, where stairs lead you down into a basement, dark save for the familiar glow of magical energy. It's hard to comprehend what half of these contraptions are for, and even harder to make your way around the room. Your foot catches on something, and clanging metal precedes a strange "beeping" sound that comes from a tall tower-like object in the center of the room. You already have a bad feeling about this, and the bolt of thunder magic that shoots from the tower only confirms it.
NEW ! Over the past few days, the buzzing noise in your ears has gotten louder and louder. It breaks your focus and deafens your thoughts, and as your friends approach you and voice their concerns, your only thought is to push back against them and shut them up. Perhaps permanently. As your mind begins to fray under whatever has been influencing the villager's, can your friends bring you back to your senses?
NEW ! It started with only a few to begin with, not enough to prove conspicuous. But as the month drags on, there's no two ways about it: the shambling villagers going through the worst of this curious blight share at the least one thing in common. Each of them bears a lance, all the more suspicious for how normal the weapons appear at a glance. A closer look may reveal more to the puzzle, though that will first involve prying a villager from their prize - an endeavour that will require planning lest you bring the horde of them upon yourself. [Grants +1 Lance]
Non-Mission Tasks
The local cats and dogs of the monastery have been anxious recently. One of the students, who had been known to play with them and leave them food, has recently gone missing. Your investigation into the matter leads you behind the abandoned cathedral, where you find a giant Demonic Wolf crouched over her body. As it licks her hands, growling and whining, you spot a bright pink ribbon tied around its neck, nestled in its matted fur. The wolf takes notice of you, steps forward protectively, and growls low.
As the days grow colder, students balk at the idea of walking around outside in the cold, especially late at night. Whispers of a shortcut quickly spread through the student body: if you're coming from the library, you can go through the gallery hall to get back to the dorms. It's not long until this path is marred by rumors of an armored thief stealing people's books and essays late at night. There's a reward if you unmask the criminal, but soon enough you find out that there's more to this criminal than you thought. Too bad the realization only comes when one of the armored knights on display is magically brought to life, brandishing its sword at you. [Grants +1 Sword]
Cold weather is on the rise, and the students are eager for new games to entertain themselves with. Luckily for them, the mage club has been happy to provide! Inspired by the visiting wyvern flock last moon, they have devised a new contraption: the magicanical bull! Combining magic and mechanical parts, this faux bull does its very best to throw its rider off its back. The name of the game is to last as long as you can! How long can you hold on before you fall? [Grants +1 Riding]
The staff of Garreg Mach are calling for volunteers! On a nearby snowy mountain sits a large, abandoned tower from days long past. Lady Rhea wishes to bring this building to this century and create a recreational space for the students. There are floors to sweep and beds to make, but the discovery of a large hot spring tempts you to play hooky....
With only weeks to practice for the White Heron Cup, students busy themselves by ordering their ball attire and practicing their dance moves. Even the stodgiest grump can't help but feel energized by the excitement in the air.
NEW ! A recent snowstorm at the base of the Oghma Mountains has blown a group of lumberjacks into Garreg Mach's castle town. The Society of Axe Personnel (proudly referring themselves as "SAP") are grateful for the assistance that the Church has offered, and in return they decided to put together a lumberjack skill competition! Practice climbing trees, logrolling in the fishing pond, and carving wooden statues with your axe! [Grants +1 Axe]
NEW ! Strange magical happenings are a dime a dozen these days, and the administration has taken notice. For the students' safety, the faculty have devised a new winter session course in defending against magical attacks, geared towards those with little resistance. If the sight of heavy armor and broad iron shields doesn't earn a groan from the students, the words "mandatory for all Officers Academy students" in the course description certainly will. However, the talented mages in the student body have some tricks up their sleeves. One morning you arrive at class with the armor already in use, the students using their shields to bash at a flaming ball of magic and bring it closer to the goalposts on one side of the field. One of the players notices you and calls out. They just invented this cool new game, do you want to play? [Grants +1 Heavy Armor]
Frequently Asked Questions
How does the divided task board work?
This season’s mission is assigned to the Golden Deer. Therefore, tasks from the ‘GD Mission Task Board’ must be undertaken by someone that is affiliated with the Golden Deer.
Tasks from the ‘Non-Mission Task Board’ have no house restriction and can be undertaken by anyone.
These aren’t the only threads I can do, right?
Of course not! These are just prompts to help give some ideas of possibilities. You’re always free and encouraged to make up your own threads. You’re also more than welcome to worldbuild on your own, using these prompts as a base.
How do I claim the skill points?
In order to qualify for the skill point, the thread must clearly allude to the listed task and preferably feature the task being completed; however, the point can still be claimed even if your muses narratively fail the task (failure is sometimes just as fun to write as success, after all). You do not need to message the masterlist to claim your skill point.
Can I only do one task?
Nope, you can do as many as you’d like with as many different partners as you’d like! You can do the same task with more than one person! However, you can only claim the skill point for each task once.
What if my partner leaves or drops a skill point thread?
If the dropped thread has at least 2 notes (not counting likes, only reblogs with replies in them) and you have hit at least 400 words on your end, you may still claim the skill point.
Remember to use (and track!) the #toa open tag for any open threads, and you can also post a link to your open thread on the appropriate Discord channel! If you have any other questions or concerns, shoot us a message through the masterlist or on Discord!
